Horsey's dress
Horsey was in pretty good shape, except for her dress, which was her body, which wasn't as sturdy as her horse skin! Here are her diagnosis photos:
You can see where she had past surgery around her neck. Her family wanted her to get a spa (she was definitely losing some stuffing muscle tone in her legs and shoulders) and to have her dress redone.
She came to the hospital with a little unicorn buddy (Pom Pom) and a very decorated box. She also came with pre-selected fabric for her new dress.
Here she is in her bubble bath:
The plan was to recover the body of her dress, but replace the skirt, so I used a bit of the original skirt fabric, and a bit of the new fabric, to make the heart with a bit of her original stuffing:
And here she is feeling much better. These are chubbiness approval photos (hence the belly poke... there's also an open seam under her skirt):
And here she is all better waiting to fly home with PomPom:
Her young person's response "I love it!"

Process of Dry Cleaning
The term "dry cleaning" refers to a method of washing clothes without the use of water. This method differs from its wet counterpart by submerging the garment in a liquid solvent rather than water, which is why it is called "dry". Furthermore, it is more environmentally friendly because it uses less water than conventional washing or hand-washing techniques.
It is best to dry clean suede and leather clothing to maintain it in the best condition. Dry cleaning will help remove oil, grease, grime and dirt. You can also use it to remove wine stains and other water-based stains. Additionally, professional dry cleaning should be used for clothing made of taffeta, silk, velvet or wool unless the care label specifies otherwise.
There is no need to worry while washing delicate fabrics like lace and voile because this method employs low temperatures. It is great for fabrics that cannot tolerate routine home wet cleaning since it keeps the material in good condition by preventing stretching or shrinking.
Process of Dry Cleaning:
Tagging
Before being cleaned, clothes are recognised; the procedure varies from dry cleaner to dry cleaner. It entails numbering and identifying each article of clothing, followed by affixing a tiny, coloured tag to each item with a safety pin or staple.
Others use an iron-on strip to permanently assign a barcode to a regular consumer. Tagging ensures that your clothes are returned to you after they have been washed, and similar filthy items will be treated together.
Pre-treatment
The cleaner inspects and fixes any stains on the clothing before sending it through the washing machine. To get the best results in eliminating the stain, it would be beneficial if you let the cleaners know what caused it. During this cleaning stage, they may also decide to remove or conceal delicate buttons.
Dry cleaning
During the "dry" cleaning procedure, the clothing does not remain dry. They are cleaned by immersing them in a solution devoid of water. Laundry machines come in a variety of brands and models, but they all do the same task.
The perforated basket is filled with the clothing. A continuous stream of a clean solvent is sprayed across them, washing them continuously. The mixture also gently rubs and scrubs the clothing against baffles inside the washing tank. Before being circulated again, the dirty solvent is repeatedly pumped through a filter system to remove any dirt that has become lodged there.
Post Spotting
Oil-based stains can be successfully removed by dry cleaning, although some stains can be difficult to remove.
Each item is post-spot checked to ensure the highest level of cleaning is maintained. The process of quality control that makes sure clothes look their best includes spot removal. Professional tools and chemicals are used in post-spot treatment to get rid of persistent stains on the clothing.
Finishing
The following are included in the process of dry cleaning:
removing wrinkles by steaming or pressing.
repining the buttons.
repairing the item to get it back to perfect condition.
You only have access to the plastic bags provided for your convenience. To assist you transport your clothing home without getting them dirty, plastic bags are provided. It is advised that you remove them as soon as possible because the moisture they produce could harm your clothing.
