The way in Knives Out that the entire Thrombey family constantly subjected Marta to racism for years ranging from micro aggressions to outright threats of deportation, that she knew all their fucked up dirty laundry and how they all were constantly exploiting Harlan's wealth, that they excluded her from Harlan's funeral and each blamed everyone else for it, and that they immediately dropped all pretenses of condescending civility when the will was read, yet she spent almost the entire movie sympathetic of them and wanting to gift them the fortune Harlan left her before finally standing up for herself in the last hour

The way in Glass Onion that Helen outright hated the entire "disrupters" group for at least ~10yrs before the movie even took place and made her opinion explicitly known, that her acting as her twin sister being jilted was so easy to maintain because she hated the entire group so much, that she didn't at all humor their extremely conditional "comradery" with her cause against Miles, and that in the end when everything was said and done she didn't stick around to watch them all turn on each other because it didn't matter anymore if they did or didn't
what was the point of lila thinking home was a feeling she didn't deserve and could never earn until she found diego. what was the point of them finding deep, meaningful love in each other. what was the point of lila opening her heart and confessing that all she really wanted was a family with him.
what was the point of developing diego and lila over two seasons, creating such a beautiful, chaotic bond, just to destroy it for no reason.

it's like a mix of anger, feral, emotional breakdown, and complete sadness that just fucks me up soooo fucking bad.
it's like she's a pet who got abandoned by their owner but they see them again after years of sadness and depression of them being gone and leaving them like that and all that anger and sadness just manifest's into one bundle of emotion's towards them they cannot control.

I know we all talk abt how much the universe hates Eddie Diaz but it really is so funny to me. And sorry if that's insensitive but it just makes me laugh. Like everybody goes through it in this show but even during moments of perceived respite Eddie is still rotating like a rotisserie chicken in the fires of hell. this man went to war and almost died, was on the brink of a custody dispute with his parents, chased his wife to LA, watched his wife die, has been haunted by all his unlived lives the entire time, almost died AGAIN, has admitted to not knowing what happiness feels like, almost killed a man street fighting, has massive survivor's guilt, is Catholic, stalked a doppelganger of his dead wife, cannot maintain a functional relationship, has now come narratively full circle back to the custody dispute with his parents, and finds himself ALONE bc even his SON, the one person Eddie keeps himself alive and kicking for, doesn't want to be around him, and like. whewww jesus. my man isn't even in a soap opera at this point he's stuck in a psychological horror show get him outttt.
