Last night I actually managed to go to church for the first time in a long time!

It's a huge win for me because due to health problems, I've barely been able to go anywhere for years (I do go outside on walks a lot, but I mean anywhere that requires transport).

I think I could've gone some times that I didn't, but I've been too afraid to try. Yesterday, despite my worries, I tried anyway, and I think that's a big win for me too.

And I'm much happier now! Sometimes we just need to take that first step.

My health problems slowly got worse till it felt like they took everything, but these past two years I've been slowly getting it back.

December Holidays with Ash Malina

Ash is an eclectic pagan, although it's not something she freely advertises about herself. She's also not particularly good at sitting down and doing spell work but she does enjoy making seasonal altars. Her Yule altar has been up for a few weeks now, and she finally put it to use during Yule / The Winter Solstice this year with a simple candle spell to bring in luck for the new year and welcome the sunshine and longer hours.

This is only her second Christmas without her dad. She didn't celebrate at all last year, making this her first real Christmas without him. Her stepmom, Jacq, and her sister, Lacey, convinced her to join them to celebrate with Jacq's family. On Christmas Eve day, they drove down to Baton Rouge. They attended a Deaf-lead church service on Christmas Eve and spent Christmas opening gifts, watching the Chiefs vs Steelers game (Ash routed for the Steelers since she used to live in Pittsburgh - not a popular choice with the rest of Jacq's family - and she also had no idea what was happening ninety percent of the time).

Been a mcfuckin minute since I've posted here. Been alternating between Huddle and Bluesky. And then sometimes forgetting that either exist and venting on multiple discord servers -

But anyway, I just got home from a church party my dad and twin sis brought me to. It was for the church band members, but they brought me along like last year.

Had fun during it, but of course, dad had to ruin it when we left.

Once we were driving home, dad was saying how I most definitely ate too much, he saw me going to the food tables multiple times, I need to go on a diet, sugar is going to kill me some day, etc etc.

I told him I didn't eat that much, which is fucking true, but no, apparently I did because I had to go back to get more

The plates they had were tiny, so yes, I got more. I could barely balance the food while walking with my cane. And I barely ate any dessert, most I had was fruit, and then a brownie and part of a cookie, and a mini ice cream thing. And I had a couple sips of hot cocoa that I brought home with me. And that's actually way less than I typically eat at parties! Cause I wasn't as hungry as usual.

But no, I need to go on a diet, he's gonna watch what I eat, I need discipline.

I FUCKING KNOW I NEED TO EAT BETTER. I'M TRYING. IM CONSTANTLY LOOKING INTO WAYS TO START IMPROVING MY DIET. I WANT TO EVENTUALLY EAT MOSTLY PLANT BASED AS I KNOW THAT'D BE BEST FOR MY MULTIPLE HEALTH ISSUES. BUT NO, I APPARENTLY DON'T FUCKING CARE.

Kind of remembering how I used to hang out in a 200+ year old church 8 hours a day as a kid when my mom didn't have another place for my sibs and I to stay while she was at work. And how we explored every inch of that old place three times. Got inside the organ once (it was creepy as FUCK let me tell you. McDonalds playground except it's an eldritch abomination/indie horror living house monster thing. I don't think I'll ever look at an organ the same since being inside one.

Almost broke a stained glass window and regret that TO THIS DAY. Very glad the window is still intact lmao.

I used to pipe Fnaf music box tunes in the cathedral, because the acoustics were great. It was the only place I ever sung loudly, again because of the acoustics.

I pretended I was Hades, running the underworld one time, and another time I was the Disciple, hiding from the drones. I first really designed my (insta famous but pretty much unknown here) dolls there. The first real beta draft of Dreamers and Poets took shape there.

Fuck. It was amazing.

I haven't been feeling well at all mentally. I wandered into the church that's close by while pretty heavily dissociated. I have a lot of religious trauma. So you could get why it sounds like a shitty choice on my end. Again, I think I just felt apathetic about everything.

The inside of the church was beautiful, surprisingly vast and gently lit. As they sang the pews shook softly. The pain and muscle spasms in my body reverberated back into the wood as I tried to make my body as comfortable as it'd allow me in the stiff seat.

It smelled like faded wood and the air was light. Everything was pristine in a way that looked like it was lived in and not just for display. It was a very welcoming and serene atmosphere of people celebrating the joys of something they love unconditionally.

I didn't think I'd ever see myself going into a church but I'm glad it wasn't a horrible experience. ☘️

Like tbh I understand why sy was scared that lbh would still get revenge even after he was nice. All the other major plot lines had been happening. There were things he couldn't change, who was to say that lbh's revenge wasn't one of them

Also I don't think I'd be able to think straight if a god if some sorts played with my life, making me run around like a mouse in a maze to live. That actually terrifying. Then what happened when he failed a mission. Like, what. I'd be terrified. Sure, death was always a threat but actually experiencey arm getting ripped off??? I'd be scared out of my mind to fail missions.

Don't even get me started on the occ point reductions. Imagine being ever so slightly pushed to death because you smiled at a kid.

Sqq was either not fully registering what was going on or was not all mental alright to be as calm as he was. I'd have broken so quickly under that. Sqq deserves to be a bit insane

Edit: reread the system punishment bit and Shen Qingqiu also got his leg ripped off right before the system took him out

Wanderer wouldn't like to be worshipped as much as his past self, scaramouche would.

He finds it embarrassing to part his legs for you; in order for him to feel worshipped, he needs to feel above you, at least in the beginning. His back is cushioned by soft pillows as he tugs in your hair trying to ground himself in some way,
