I’m so proud of people living with chronic health conditions. That shit is HARD. Idk who needs to hear this, but if no one else has said it: I’m proud of you. You’re sticking it out through so much pain and grief. That’s no small feat.

Every small thing you do for yourself health adds up. The grief is heavy and it comes from a place of love. The grief knows the pain is wronging you.

I’m proud of you. I hope on the good days you can be proud of yourself.

Sometimes chronic illness is going to urgent care because "oh I've had these symptoms before but never this bad maybe I need to get checked out asap" only to be told "yeah you're fine and your body is sorting itself out so just focus on breathing through it if it happens again"

And on the bright side:

A) my body is sorting itself out and the checkup confirmed the symptoms weren't putting me in danger even though I had shortness of breath for an hour bad enough that I couldn't do anything else

B) my symptoms started to resolve on their own while I was at the clinic

But even so, having to just exist every now and then for an hour waiting for shortness of breath like that to pass really does suck lol

Anyone else to the Acceptance stage of being disabled and/or chronically ill?

I've been disabled since as young as I can remember. I've stopped looking for cures and started looking for things to make everyday life easier and less painful before i was even diagnosed. I've just started seeing symptoms as something to laugh over instead of panicking over it. I've learned accept my limits (although i still push past them) and to accept my body when it's tired or not feeling well.

GERD (gastro esophageal reflux disease) is a chronic acid reflux disease than currently is burning my lungs and my throat and vocal cords. I drew this during a flare up.

the worst thing about having a chronic illness (or 2) that affects my digestive system is I just get to have a stomach ache forever

ok for a year now I've had slight vomiting. lets just say I can't control it nor trust my belches/burps.

Just today i just casually vomited on myself, without even bending down .

I have reflux disease but it shouldn't cause vomiting. I'm kinda scared haha

On other note i have had symptoms of gastroparesis. And the symptoms have escalated in couple years. However I'm scared of asking for the gastric emptying test....
