I've been working so hard trying to find the right vibe for my youtube channel, and after 30+ videos within a month, I think I found my most popular. I tried to combine the best seasons, episodes, movies and more of ALL teen shows, like Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, etc. I've had loads of fun filming and editing these and I'm so excited to take deeper dives into individual shows within the next few videos. I appreciate everyones support thus far and I hope you'll tune in for the future if you want to see more nostalgic stuff from the 2000s!

Les Argonautes redesign - Melasastavana the Silaho

Lore and story under the cut

Melasastavana, or Mela for short, is a member of the Silaho, and one of the many aliens that the humans of the Argo meet in their space mission.

Her civilisation is one of the most advanced in the galaxy. Her special gene grants her the power of ubiquity, allowing her to visit the Argonauts without leaving her faraway planet.

The Silaho have a technology based on their own biology, integreting it to their essence of light for millenia. In the show, they are immaterial being of pure light and telepathic energy that can create a body when in contact with the stones of their planet. Since their bodies are synthesized, I decided to mix that with their lore of advanced technology to create bio-tech physical forms inspired by porcelain dolls and Alita Battle Angel.

Silaho are shown to have many powers apart from the individual special gene, such as generating energy shields, dream projection and telepathy, as well as strong mental bonds with friends and family.

Mela, due to her individual gift of ubiquity, is sent as a guide for the children of the Argo in the quest sent by her civilization via the mysterious sphere... ultimately guiding the Argonautes to the planet Silah, who vanished thousands of years ago.

What’s great about Montreal, is that summer always falls on the first day of spring. That’s when the weather drastically becomes super nice, and festivals start promoting shows and announcing lineups! My time in MTL as an artist has allowed me so many awesome opportunities to organize shows, curate lineups, and meet people that not only I get to perform with, but later get to book. I met Shanthony, alias Miss Eaves, a year ago when she performed at my band’s final fundraising party/send-off before our big trip to Senegal; before that, I had no idea what kind of accolades she had already earned for herself! From HuffPost to Billboard, this femcee has been making all kinds of noise, and even has her music featured on Issa Rae’s "Insecure"! But what I love about her the most is her artistry. Her videos are always so much fun to watch and has a very polished DIY sense to it, as oxymoronic as that may sound. Yet another artist who in my book, needs their own TV series. You can catch her at this year’s Suoni Per Il Popolo festival June 9th at La Vitrola, with my other good friends Tshizimba and Kayiri as the opening acts. Black Excellence all around! ♥

i feel like im in a weird demographic when it comes to the percy jackson live action series because of the age i was when i read them. cause i read the lightning thief for the first time when i was in single digits, so percy being twelve seemed appropriately grown up. and then as i got further into the series and into heroes of olympus, percy got older with me, and was always kinda broadly my age or a little older. so like, the movie cast was too old when that happened, because they were way older than me. but now the series cast is actual twelve year olds (or so) and they are so obviously just little babies that im now forced to confront the fact that uhhh percy was in fact a fuckin child when all this started??? exCUSE ME???
