TW - pet passed away?

i just went through my intro post and it says "i have 2 dogs".

i no longer have two dogs. we lost one of our babies, Katrina, a month ago, at the age of twelve.

i'm not really sure what the point of this post is, but posting/venting here feels... therapeutic, in a way.

anyways, here's a few pictures of her!!!

she was truly a sleepy, chonky baby, and honestly, a diva. she hated our other dog, and any other pets we kept over the 7 years we had her, but she loved us with all her heart.

unfortunately, the people who raised her till we got her, didn't treat her well. they never cared for her properly, and fed her foods that no dog should be eating. which is what led to her health complications and eventually, her passing.

she was my first dog, and she helped me get over my fear of dogs within the first few days i knew her. i think our family helped her get over the trauma she had faced as well.

wherever she is, i hope she's getting all the chicken and chocolate and cake that she can now eat safely, and that she's chasing and hunting pigeons to her heart's content as she loved to do.

i love you, Katrina. you can sleep peacefully now.

Sorry for the lack of posts..here,twitter, insta or even YouTube..I’m personally having a really rough spot with my art and scared to start most drawings I have. And trust me there’s plenty in the drafts. It’s just school + life in general is making me a bit more anxious as of late so my confidence in my abilities as an artist has dwindled. I’m sure I’ll be back soon, promised a new animatic by the end of the year and I’m still trying to keep that promise.

i like to think of V as the rescue cat with trauma who hides under your couch for a year and claws you if you get near, while J is probably some purebred show cat that knocks things over just to feel something and gets really mad at random animals outside she can't reach

uzi is a chihuahua (short and angry)

He's an archetypal golden retriever whereas she's a stereotypical cat. I wonder what J is supposed to be, if anything.

when matthew first became an f/o i started writing fanfics again! was super nervous about it at first 'cause I felt rusty, but it was fun and i felt some improvement

hirotaka can be VERY blunt, he sometimes talks about embarrassing things i did in front of our friends.

like i said before, hirotaka can be very direct with what he wants to say. he's more into giving practical advice since he has trouble comforting others. he does try to be more gentle when i'm in a really bad mood.

matthew is definitely there to listen and comfort!! he doesn't always give the best advice, but he knows what to do to get me smiling when i need it.

hirotaka actually hypes me up alot! he's quietly cheering me on from the sidelines in whatever i'm interested in. if i need help with any projects he's always there helping me :)

hirotaka shows his love in small ways. getting me merch i point out, small touches, making sure i don't procrastinate on my work.

lol so this morning I was driving to work and I braked hard. Not even. I braked a normal amount. And my bag went like tumbling forward and my fucking overnight oats exploded in my bag onto my laptop. So I just dropped it off with the IT guy and he’s gonna try and fix it because the fucking chia seeds and shit got stuck in the vent and probobly went down to the main parts of the computer.

So I’m praying that they can fix it and I won’t get fired because I need this job 😭 also I didn’t even clean my car and my passenger side is covered with all the stuff that was in my bag. But it’s cold so I hope it won’t smell.

Any advice from IT or HR people would be appreciated lol

hey just a reminder that just because you feel hurt and have a bad reaction to something someone else did, doesn't mean everyone has to agree that they're in the wrong.

if you go into a bad spiral because someone hurt you while prioritizing their safety, you can blame them. doesn't mean you're right.

and it doesn't mean you don't have to take accountability and actually work to better yourself now. wallowing only gets you so far. go to therapy.

you can hurt without throwing blame other people for something you caused. they don't owe you anything, and other people don't have to hate on them just to make you feel better about yourself because you never learnt how to cope with guilt and have never had consequences for your actions.

we’re far ahead enough in the semester that my parents, who PAID for me to get my diagnosis and sometimes pick up my meds, are once again becoming irate at the fact that I can’t “simply concentrate”. “Why are you taking your meds then!!” GEEZ it’s almost as though we’re LITERALLY in the process of me getting my disability recognition status!!!! Did you guys think they’re giving it to me for funsies and I can just opt out of my ADHD whenever I want????

It’s like “we know you have it but WHY are you (describes symptoms of said disorder)” when people are sick!!! They can’t just choose to turn it off!!! I’ll have it for the rest of my life!!!

No amount of medication will turn me into a “normal” person!!!!!

orchid -> My opinion on songs changes over time but I have to mention Steel City by Kazzer. The song never feels boring for its whole duration plus the chorus absolutely slaps. It's also one of those pieces of media that suck you into the world they portray. Listening to it instantly makes me feel like it's 1992 and I'm 30 years old with a dead-end factory job and several non-running cars.

cactus -> I guess I can say Eurovision. Finland won pass it on.

bamboo -> Yes, sweatpants and perhaps a t-shirt that isn't sweated through.

abelia -> Does a wristwatch count? I don't really have anything else that I wear on a regular basis... I'd love to find a bracelet of some kind to wear on my other hand though.

daffodil -> 1 sister. Both of us put off school assignments until the last moment ^_^

mahonia -> Good question, this isn't something I paid attention to in the past. One thing I remember is seeing fictional characters (Anne from Amphibia comes to mind) succeed in something and consequently feeling like I should do something productive.

chia -> I am eternally twelve years old. Once at age 13 a friend asked me how old I was and I distractedly replied that I was 12. Hilarity ensued in the moment and the joke stuck around.

sage -> Has to be music, or specifically music videos. I listened to 2022 Eurovision songs two days ago and the Dutch ballad low key made me cry. There's something about the combination of music that conveys strong emotions and visuals designed to help that same cause that just gets to me at times.

edelweiss -> I explained the name of this blog before so I'll shed some light on my "main". Around 2016, I had been thinking of a new gamertag. I wanted something that would make sense in English but also in my native language. I ended up slapping an extra b in the middle of my real name (a version of it anyway) and going with it. Of course, I added "gaming" because I was and am a gamer. 7 years on, I haven't had a reason to change it.

camellia -> More naive. More gullible dare I say. I used to get very upset due to not doing good at things that ultimately didn't matter. I like to say that I've been caring less and less over time.

jasmine -> Perks of being a wallflower (which I read in Slovak translation so I didn't put it together with that name until much later) and Frankenstein. "Loved" is perhaps not the right word for these but they both left a lasting impression on me so in some way, I did love the experience.

ivy -> When I feel down, I'm apathetic. On the flip side, when something interests me, I can get very invested into it, even overbearing at times.

chamomile -> anything with a car on it, or models of cars. pretty much.

aloe vera -> Keeping in theme somewhat, I have 2 things. The first is to own an old car and learn to maintain it myself. The second is to own a cat and watch it watch me play Stray.

palm tree -> I'm going to go with Jobu Tupaki from Everything Everywhere All at Once and Frankenstein's monster from Frankenstein. The monster is, dare I say, a poor little meow meow in some capacity, while I'd love to study its creator under a microscope.

nutmeg -> I share a room with my sister but you can instantly differentiate "my part" from hers due to the large amount of cars. Mostly hot wheels, some larger models, some Lego cars and some posters too. It's either cars, books or a mess really, with the important exception of a terrarium with my snek.

papyrus -> I'll mention Speed RCR by Scythe Gang 666 here. I found it around a time when I used to play NFS: Heat a lot, and this song portrays the vibe of that game perfectly. "They can never catch us 'cause we drive so fearless/They can't pull us over if we don't pull over" - would I even think of reenacting this shit in real life? Hell no. Would I absolutely style on Palm City PD while blasting this shit? Hell yeah.

taro -> I'd probably mention how my preparations for the high school-ending exams are going (they aren't :)))). Perhaps I'd vent about all my uncertainty about going off to university, depending on who would call.
