Anyway here’s my haul from Fan Expo Philly 2024!
Signed posters by Tom Grummet and Francis Manapul. (Yes I also own both of these comics. No I did not bring them to get signed. Yes I DO feel bad about it. I am a fool. Especially for Tom Grummet oh MY GOD)
Met Ms Frizzle and she gave me this adorable bookmark! It has a ruler on the other side!
Picked up a bunch of adorable stickers from Tumblrs own @ashourii-a !! They’re so cute I can’t wait to find where I want to put them!
I commissioned Keith Williams to do a bust portrait of Black Canary (as is my wont) and OH MY GOD look how awesome this is!!!
I met Geoff Johns and got the first two appearances of Courtney Whitmore signed. Yes I was emotional about it haha. He was super nice and so was his family who were also at the booth at the time.
I also met and had a photo session with Adam Savage. He was absolutely phenomenal!!! The next day I did go and get this signed (as well as two other signatures for friends and family) and he was just so phenomenal to talk to. We had a long discussion about custom mold body forms haha. It’s very unfortunate my wig was slipping when this photo was taken but fuck it lmao. It was amazing to get to walk around as Yurika. If I meet him again though I’ll try and have a photo taken as myself.
The Ultimate Pass I purchased also came with some freebies: a big Batman bag, an exclusive variant of Tec 27, a Batman and Superman poster, as well as a really cute Marty Mcfly figure.

i refuse to believe that boycotting is hard. my favourite thing in the world is ordering maccies after a late night at work/a concert/getting drunk. yes i do miss it sometimes. but the other night i ordered from a small place near my house instead and it was the most orgasmic burger i've ever had in my life. i very rarely say this but fucking suck it up people are DEAD
#ramble#also only 0.29 delivery instead of 3.99#and chilli cheese bites#i swear to god the best food you'll ever eat while drunk is from the tiny shithole that's open until 4am#if you're refusing to do literally the smallest thing you can do to help then i have questions#it's FOOD. you'll survive#it's not even NECESSARY food#if it was like a chain grocery place and you don't have access to anything else then i would understand#but it's just NOT#make your own coffee for the love of god#when there is NOTHING you can do to stop this fucking tragedy. and let's be honest there isn't a lot normal people can do#and people say to you 'do this insignificant thing just to show that you even CARE'#and you DON'T do that???? what is actually wrong with you#also i've been worried about this since my last post about sbucks but this is Not an attack on the people who WORK at the boycotted places#because it is an absolute privilege to be able to leave your job and immediately find a new one

And I see our golden sovereign over there in the corner... Is she, too, there to hype up our beloved tiger general? Is she so impressed with her flower arrangements that she's there to ask if she can take some home to decorate her palace? Is she scoping out a new picnic spot? The possibilities are endless

i love to cook and i love food! i love cooking and i love eating! i love making food and then eating it! wait what do you mean i have to do this three times a day every day for my entire life and also dishes and grocery shopping and
#brought to you by i do genuinely really enjoy cooking but once ive cooked im like. ok im done now right. right#i made up a banger dish cobbled together from eight different recipes blogs that's healthy filling and satisfies my pickiness#what do you mean i now i have to figure out what to cook and eat AGAIN three hours later#also every recipe is written for like. feeding a table. what if im 23 and just feeding my own singular self#i made a really tasty kabocha squash gratin a couple weeks ago and the first two nights it was good#but by night three or four of kabocha squash gratin i was ill just looking at it and there was still an entire casserole dish of it left#and dont tell me to freeze things. the freezer is way full and it is also the place where food goes to get forgotten about#until the end of time or until its freezer burnt or until i get tired of playing jenga and just start tossing things#also you go grocery shopping you get healthy stuff like vegetables and then you make your meal and then you have to do it again#but by the end of week 2 your vegetables are bad. so now you're eating tuna rice again. or frozen broccoli in mac n cheese

Spent a bunch of money at comic stores today. I got the Ikemen figures on sale so I got them for $125 together which was a steal. They didn’t have Nightwing and Red Hood sadly otherwise I definitely would have gotten them.
The Star War collecteds will be a gift for my brother but the Superboy and the Green Arrow I shall be keeping lol.
The Ranma are actually in collected stacks it’s just hard to tell from the photos. When I’m more motivated I’ll go through them and mark what all I’ve gotten but I was SO excited to see them in store. Original releases of Japanese manga in America are so endlessly fascinating to me.

The veganuary website has been one of the least useful sites for finding vegan recipes that I'm actually interested in. Most unexpected. Why.

Odypen definitely and equivalently adore each other BUT I weirdly can't see them as the type to actually say "I Love you".
They still definitely vocalize their love for each other but it's more so in "My Joy", and "Extraordinary Woman", "Strange Woman/Man", etc. And very cheesy lines (both say some cheesy shit in the Odyssey, and he definitely does in the Iliad as well. "Joy like a drowning sailor seeing land" bit???)
I could see "I adore you" but even then, that's probably during very specific moments but the actual "I love you"??? I just typed it just now for fic shit and... It weirdly just didn't feel right and I don't know why. 😅
Idk maybe it's kind of because I see them as over the top in ways, they love wordplay and riddles and I think they'd almost think "...That's not good enough >:( " about it??? I don't know???😂
