The veganuary website has been one of the least useful sites for finding vegan recipes that I'm actually interested in. Most unexpected. Why.
#chit chat#food mention#veg tag#?????#like half the recipes are 'here's how to make a food that looks like it should be meat' like fish sticks or hamburger#and the other half are like 'you need the special Vegan Ingredients from the Vegan Store' like. specific brand vegan mayo or vegan cheese#and im like. did you know you can use half a banana instead of Vegan Brand Fake Vegan Egg Substitute for this recipes#it just seems like a weird fucking way to do this for a site that's about getting people to try veganism#it seems like it's making things more difficult than it needs to be#there are notably fewer oatmeal recipes than i expected tho#this is an oatmeal hate blog#im not vegan for those of you who are new#but i get pretty close to it whenever im fortunate enough to live on my own
