i just saw the previous ask you answered and wanted to say your work is also what got me into silmblr!! I dabbled in fanart stuff for a while between reading the silm and landing on tumblr, but you were the first silm artist I encountered! SANTA HOUSE CONCEPT

House becomes obsessed with figuring out why “Christmas cheer” spreads so rapidly. He makes the elves run tests on each other, convinced it’s either an airborne virus or a psychological delusion.

Elf: It’s just…happiness, Santa!

House: Happiness without a cause is mania. Either you’ve all got a mood disorder, or something’s spiking your cocoa.

Wilson tries to intervene, only for House to declare him “Patient Zero” because he’s always too cheerful for his liking.

Aaravos and Leola were in space when they faced the Startouch Elf Council, right? Am I right?

With that being said, I think tdp should have a whole episode in space or on another planet for no reason in particular. Cause that would be pretty cool.

Thinking thoughts about those from Cuivienen and how they later treated the Valar, especially after Cuivienen was destroyed.

I imagine a foundation of sorrow and a layer of betrayal and pettiness. They had promised safety. And how did it turn out? Kin of Tata and Tatie their first leaders, slain in Valinor by the Dark Hunter from which the Valar promised protection in Valinor.

And then, the War of Wrath comes and with it the destruction of Cuivienen.

If any of those were re-embodied in Aman, I wonder if they make it a point to always turn their back to Valar and Maiar. I wonder if they only speak in the tongue they had first devised all those millennia ago and spoke in Cuivienen before time and different kindreds changed the tongue, not Sindarin or Quenya from the Great Journey's time or later. I wonder if they sing songs in their ancient tongue, songs about the beauty and unsullied health of Cuivienen every time any of the Ainur are near.

I wonder if the Valar feel any shame when those who they once looked upon in wonder and love gaze back at them with indifference or disgust.

A Night for Santa and Me

Legolas started Arwen on self-defense and weapons training.

In his defense, it’s standard practice amongst the silvans to have both self-defense and weapons training regardless of what gender you are, regardless if you decide to be a warrior or not. It never occurred to him that it’s completely different for the light elves.

He would just show up and gift arwen a bow or a sword and be like “hey, you wanna learn this cool move?” Complete oblivious to the side eyes the more traditional light elves were giving him.

It wasn’t until celebrian remarked her great-fullness of his encouragement of Arwen learning how to fight despite how uncommon such a course of action would be in their society that Legolas goes: “wait, what?”

At which point he doubles down on it and teaches Arwen even more bc “fuck the patriarchy”.

Also, he’d be divorced, disowned, demoted, and probably killed if he ever even thought that elleths were incapable or should not be warriors. The elleths in his life do not appreciate or put up with being looked down on.

tbh I do find it annoying how the game pushes the evanuris as rook's gods if rook is an elf and there's no option to be like "bro I'm not dalish" about it. every time bellara comes to me handwringing about our gods and how do we deal with our history I just wanna hold her shoulders and be like. babe. They're Not My Gods. Also Chill Out.

another headcanon: finrod and fingon became truly close friends in helcaraxë. they spent a lot of time together because someone had to step up and be fingolfin's right and left hands. (fingolfin is sure he would have gone mad without them. fingon and finrod are sure they would have gone mad without each other.)
