In terms of pure statistics atheists are more likely to hold leftist beliefs but as an atheist I can tell you a lot of atheists are bigoted pricks lmao.

I wouldn’t say the internet paints atheists as leftists besides the aforementioned statistics, with the stereotype of the “Reddit atheist” on tumblr at least opinions on atheist activists at least seems negative.

I inherited the family religion of agnosticism (popular in Russia) and didn't try to reconnect with Judiasm until around 2020

I am having emotions about this little girl I sat next to on the bus.

I got on the bus after what was not the best day, and as the bus was out of empty seats, I had to sit next to this girl (maybe 11 or 12, incoming seventh-grader) who, upon me sitting down next to her, stands up from her seat (which she could just barely see over) and says to her friend in the other seat “See, I have a new friend!”, in that sort of jokingly-bragging tone. She says hi, I say hi, and the conversation ends. As we leave the school, she starts quietly saying to herself the names of businesses and buildings we pass by, and when she’s finished doing that, she continued muttering what I assume was counting.

She seemed so happy… I wish her the best. Oh, unknown child on the school bus, I wish I could be like you again… able to mutter and ramble to myself without care… without feeling the judging eyes of everyone around me… I hope you never have to deal with that terrible sinking feeling.

I love you, small stranger, in the way humanity should.

Just going to put this out here because this podcast deserves so much more recognition….

This podcast was amazing! It’s a horror anthology podcast (think Twilight Zone). It also features Cecil Baldwin in an episode! It finished up in 2021 with a total of 3 seasons! Please go give it a listen: the episodes aren’t that long and it deserves so much more attention!
