i wish they could've done a filler episode on the alternate universe we see in road to ninja that wasn't for tenten's infinite tsukuyomi dream... i like the concept- an episode of her being self aware and trying to escape but ultimately succumbing to everything she's wanted, there's some kind of horror to it. but i doubt creepy neji, mean hinata, playboy sasuke and a cold naruto whose name isn't even naruto anymore are part of her greatest desires is all i'm saying 😭
#naruto#team gai#tenten#road to ninja#<- my favorite movie ever since i was like 12#so i enjoy that tenten episode 1. cause its about my favorite kunoichi ms. zero screentime#and 2. its ALMOST the same universe as RTN#HOWEVER: i wish we couldve had a tenten tsukuyomi dream episode and a RTN universe episode separately#because as much as i love the RTN goofiness. i highly doubt thats tenten's greatest desires lol#the only thing that made sense was gai and lee being 'cool'#cause that was her dream in the manga for them to be cool and more mature and less CRAZY#but by that alone its like what was the point in the RTN shit if its not even the same universe#since gai and lee are different...#text#my posts#this is one of those things id normally rant about on my instagram story if i still felt like using that trash

I can't wait for you analysis for chapter 161 :] Just finished reading through it and I'm just *feral bite like a small dog aggressively playing with their chew toy regarding Aqua*
Do you have any predictions regarding how the fallout of the chapter will go/the ending of the series?
I HOPE YOU ENJOYED IT WHEN IT WENT UP, ANON!!!
I keep saying I'm not gonna predict the ending of OnK because Aka could do licherally anything then my gears get turning lol. So here's some of my tinfoil hatting off the back of this chapter:
The imagery in Mephisto has me pretty certain Aqua will be going into the sea (he is Aqua'marine' after all……..) but I do also think there's a possibility that either or both of them won't go over. Building on Kamiki's declaration of 'doing something' for Ai, he could decide to push Aqua back as a final act of atonement to her, saving her son even at the cost of his life. They could be struggling at the fence, and Kamiki's very pointedly dropped cell phone still playing the B-Komachi concert could end up catching Aqua's attention and, as a representation of the future he wants to have, it causes him to finally give up on sacrificing himself.
HOWEVER, like I said, I do think Aqua will go into the sea and I think his doing so will be a metaphorical purification-by-water. It'll be the moment he finally lets go of all his pain and baggage and at last accepts that he, too, is deserving of the happy ending he wants to achieve for everyone else.
This is less speculation and more a wish, but I really hope he gets one of those like. 'conversation with a ghost' type moments with ai, where it's ambiguous whether or not he's just dreaming/hallucinating because i NEED aqua to call her mama at least once WHAT'S THE POINT OF THIS MANGA IF HE DOESN'T!!! BRO!!!!
Broadly speaking, I think Aqua will experience a sort of 'spiritual death' as his revenge-seeking self and emerge purified and ready to embrace his future. But probably also to go to the hospital AQUA YOUR STAB WOUND!!! 😭
I do also have a shot I'm not quite confident in calling definitively but I think would be cool; I think it's possible that 'Gorou' will die in Aqua's place, taking the weight of their past life with him and finally allowing Aqua at last to just live as 'Aqua Hoshino'. I think it'd be a cool resolution to what Gorou says in 150 of him being an old scar gradually fading and how Aqua needs to step down from being 'Gorou Amamiya'.
As for the overall resolution... not sure! I'm pretty sure volume 17 will be the last volume of Oshi no Ko (161 should be the second to last chapter of 16 for those keeping count) and between 161 and 150, it seems pretty clear to me we're getting an AquKana end and that we'll eventually see Ruby performing at the Dome, but apart from that, Akasaka could sling anything at us. I do think things are going to wrap up more sweet than bitter, though.

To me the best sign of the fact that MHA kinda went down hill in the second half is that all the stupid, delusional, trolltheories not coming true... Is disapointing.
Because of course AFO being Deku's dad would be stupid and cliche and contrived - of course introducing time travel to make the "Bak U Go" theorie work would be parody levels of crazy, even Eri turning Shigaraki back into a child Tenko would be an obvious asspull to fix a difficult situation in the most deus ex machina way.
But in retrospect, compared to what we got, that all would be more satisfieng. Cause thats the problem - the real thing we got was just boring, so nothing, just a wimper that seemingly went out of its way to be as unfulfilling as possible.
And the final chapter is the culmination - ofcourse shipping all the charachters together just for the hell of it and giving them kids is self indulgent and formulaic - yet atleast that would give something, make people debate about wacky relationships that make no sense or whatever - but this "wow everyone just went on, vaguely continuing their one dimmensional arcs, solving racism etc" Hell, even just making quirks disapear would be cool, especially if heros lived on, showing that truely being a hero doesnt mean having a flashy power but doing the right thing, with the costumes being reframed from stupid consumer crap into a comitment to do whats right no mater how one looks
One of my buddies descrived the MHA ending as a "no risk one", and honestly, he is absolutely right.
The BIG problem with the final chapter, the reason i describe it time and again as a "Nothing ending" is that it is painfully afraid of committing to ANYTHING as far as how the heroes ended up.
Izuku endes up in a bad outcome ending, where ended up quirkless, and became a teacher at Yuei? Okay, that could work just fine, so long as you emphasise both his regrets but also how much he is fullfilled at his new school... Whatsthat? We never really get a sense that he truly does have regrets? Also we get only the briefest of glimpses into his life as a teacher?
Okay, so who did he end up with? Showing Izuku's partner and maybe q kid or two would go a long way to show that Izuku did not end up like All Might, a man who sacrificed any chance of a normal human companionship to a frankly unhealthy degree the manga critiqued. Also wheter or not he ultimately ended up eith her, Uraraka confessing her feelings is ctitical to her character arc ending on a high note, so jow did that end?
...okay so we get no suggestions that he ended up with anyone? That he seemingpy just resigned himself to be alone forever, just like all might?
All right then, but at least we're committing to an ending where Izuku no longer is a Hero, right?
No wait the twist at the end is that his friends swoop in to finance it all.
...okay? So... Why wasnt the chapter about this? If 1-A loved Izuku so much they were willing to save 5 years worth of Gathered funds to help Izuku, why did we get nothing else in this entire chapter to remind us that they actuqlly loved him still, and instead the entire chapter emphasized how distant Izuku had become?
These two things, Izuku slowly growing distant from his friends in a realistic manner, and them ultimately going all in on helping him out to let him live his dreams, are completely at odds with each other.
In the question, the idea of MHA ending on a "Realistic" is described as by default Boring, but it didnt have to be, so long as it focused on the right things, and actually committed to it to the hilt.
It was more than poasible to Have Izuku ending up as a teacher at Yuei withouth a quirk, teaching the new generation work as an ending, if you actually committed to telling that ending all the way. Realistic does not have to mean boring or unsatisfying.
Similarily, there was absolutely a good way to tell an ending where Izuku lost his quirk and ended up a Tech based Hero as well. So long as you committed to that, and didnt relegate it to the last three pages as a twist ending joke that still wants you to take it seriously.
Ultimately, the ending was a failure because it failed to commit to anything, or to put it another way, it was afraid to take any risks at the very end.
Any shipping resolution in any way? Well, that would absolutely go a long way to hammer in the feel of a realistic ending, because that is how Human beings' work... But that would have been a risk, as someone would have been pissed off by it.
Izuku and ochako getting together? Would have pissed off the bakudeku shippers, the uraraka x toga shippers, and Uraraka x Bakugo shippers.
Him getting together with anyone else? Would have pissed off the Izuku x uraraka shippers, and most certainly the Bakudeku shippers as well.
And on it goes.
Kirishima getting together with Mina? Eould have pissed of the Kirishima x bakugo shippers or the people who headcanon him as gay.
Him getting together with Bakugo? Would have pissed off the ones who shipped him with Ashido.
Aizawa finishing his character arc of growing to actually love teaching and his students by going back to miss joke and finally reconciling with her, and addmitting she was right all along, that he really did want a "household where the laughter never ended" as she put it?
Would have pissed off those who shipped him with Present Mic.
Now im not saying the lack of shipping was THE thing that ruined this ending(other than Izuku x ochako whose lack of resolution one way or another is a massive structural weakness), but it is absolutely a sympthom of how this ending was absolutely terrified of actually committing to any risks.
It is the thing that defines this entire chapter, and honestly the final arc as a whole.
Just to give one example, the reason why Bakugo has NO thematic climax or satisfying ending at the end, is because it is painfully clear that His story was absolutely going to end back on the platform.
Before Hori's editor made him change it, and demand he got a bigger role, Bakugo's thematic ending was going to be that he was murdered while stalling Shigaraki.
He was not going to get to be the Hero who defeated AFO, or even come close to becoming number 1... But he WAS going to get to die a hero.
That was a bold, and very much not safe direction to end one of MHA's most popular characters.
It would also have been a great thematic ending where Bakugo actually did get to be a Hero like he always wanted... while at the same time NOT ultimately rewarding him for the horrible he treats Izuku through the Manga.
You know, like what happened to Endeavor.
There were no happy endings there, with one of his sons rejecting him once and for all, while leaving his firstborn's thoughts on him on a note where we ultimately didnt know how it went, while at the same time ending up crippled in a wheelchair.
Enji was a terrible man who ultimately did become a true hero... But he was not rewarded for it. And that's why it actually works so well.
And it certainly was not the safe way to end it either.
This is also why the villains in MHA ended up on amuch stronger thematic note than any of the heroes.
None of them got safe, nothing endings.
With all of them, Hori one way or another committed himself to have an actual ending that said soemthing, as opposed to the wishy washy final chapter that had no spine to go in either direction.
Dabi burnt himself out, and now has to deal with the consequences of trying to kill himself and everyone else, only to fail at it.
Spinner and compress gave everything for the cause, only for his side to lose, and him ending up in jail, and now has to deal with that.
Toga spent her entire life searching for someone who didnt reject her, and wanted to understand her, and ultimetely though she did not get a relationship with thay person, she went out on her own terms.
Shigaraki tried to destroy the world, having decided to commit himself all the way to becomign the greatest supervillain of all time... Only to in the end, be defeated and being killed, like he himself did to so many others.
None of these were safe options to end these characters on, and there are plenty who werent happy with it... But they are endings where Hori actually committed to going through with it all, wheter to succeed, or fail.
The Heroes by contrast get none of these.
Izuku does not get an ending where it actually commits to... ANYTHING because by doing so, he would piss off some part of his audience.
Bakugo couldnt die at the platform, because he's popular, no matter how much sense ending his story there might make.
Uraraka couldnt confess her feelings and either hook up with, or be rejected by Izuku because that would piss someone off.
Mina and Kirishima couldnt hook up because it too would piss someone off.
We could not get deep, important looks into the Heroes family lives 8 years later, because it would piss people off.
MHA's ending(as far as the heroes are concerned) would have been so much better if the manga was willing to end on an ending that actually take real risks that would have had the possibility to fall on their face.
Or as Wit from Stormlight Archive puts this kinda thinking oh so well:
“All great art is hated. It is obscenely difficult - if not impossible - to make something that nobody hates. Conversely, it is incredibly easy - if not expected - to make something that nobody loves.
This makes sense, if you think about it. Art is about emotion, examination, and going places prople have never gone before to discover and investigate new things. The only way to create something that nobody hates is to ensure that it can't be loved either. Remove enough spice from a soup, and you'll just end up with water.
Human taste is as varied as human fingerprints. Nobody will like everything, everybody dislikes something, someone loves that thing you hate - but at least being hated is better than nothing. To risk metaphor, a grand painting is often about contrast: brightest brights, darkest darks. Not grey mush. That a thing is hated is not proof that it's great art, but the lack of hatred is certainly proof that it is not."

Delicious in Dungeon - Ryōko Kui Vol.10-11: "Oh, just Thistle, Mithrun and Kabru things" - A Commentary.
Vol.10 -for the record, second most well-designed character award goes to thistle, my beloved.
-low-key worried about laios' party now that we know the mithrun-goat backstory.
-no, truly, do we trust the winged lion? or did thistle seal it so that the mithrun thing wouldn't happen to him too?
-yeah, the lion "really doesn’t want to lose you here," laios, because he'll wanna devour you later! i don't trust that lion.
-ooooooh NICE, marcille wanting to make all races' lifespans equal, such a solid wish that could go horribly wrong, nice!!
-"kabru, make him stop"? really, canaries? really? everybody say "thank you kabru, for being a good influence for mithrun."
-YUH-HUH, "you're good at dealing with the captain" OBVIOUSLY!!! he eats when he should, he sleeps without help, everyone say "THANK YOU KABRU." ffs, canaries.
-thistle be watching everyone like "...wtf?"
-really, the teleportation expert is the most dangerous one, thistle? not the ones freeing the lion? interesting.
-right, that's what i'm saying. go seal the winged lion first. see, you only needed some food in you in order to think clearly, thistle
-argh, that's sweet, how falin's sleeping on her monster body, stop that's cute
-"laios! you okay!?" i don't know how he can ever be okay after suffocating falin, but hey ho. that was a hard sequence. that was hard. oof.
-oh wait, thistle's "wand" is his flute, that's cool
-no, not the "best by" date! lmao, laios, what a way to put it
-that's my deranged boy (thistle). standing on the table. for no reason. you show them. well. "deranged." it's more complicated than that. delgal literally pushed him to become a magician and put the weight of the entire kingdom on his shoulders, and then thistle had to use ancient magic, build a kingdom, create monsters, move everyone down there, protect everyone at all times, fend off invaders again and again, ALL OF THAT ON HIS OWN, had everyone praise him for it, and then had his nearest and dearest be like "actually, the thing we pushed you to do and praised you for, yeah, we don't want that anymore." thistle isn't randomly deranged.
-fumu fumu, that's a lot of dragons.
Vol.11 -lmfao that was kabru's dream that the nightmares ate, wasn't it
-gotta hand it to laios, that's good thinking, quick thinking, the whole dragons thing
-thistle's epiphany is to get everyone on feeding tubes...? like 24/7? for eternity?
-LION, STOP! LEAVE THISTLE ALONE! HELP, SOMEONE!
-wait, so thistle doesn't remember why he sealed the lion? 'cause i was theorizing he sealed him to protect himself, and lion confirms it, but not thistle
-MY HEART, thistle holding marcille's hand. SOMEONE HELP THEM! WHERE THE FUCK IS KABRU?!
-did thistle resurrect marcille??? OOOHHH
-erm, hold up, thistle will be fine though, right?
-kabru warning laios, good boy kabru. but also, tell him about the dungeon's lord!
-not kabru dissociating in real time as he eats bavarois
-goodbye, izutsumi, who knows where you've been teleported to. mithrun probably doesn't.
-ASFDHJ, marcille leaping onto laios to escape mithrun, SO CUTE
-pattadol is sweet, i like her. keep her around mithrun.
-oooh nooo the lion is unsealed, i don't like thisss
-i expect the anime to do justice to just how fast mithrun is
-it's a pity it's come to this. marcille would understand, if mithrun had had time to explain, but now he's trying to kill her and she's terrified and she only has the lion to lean on -.-
-THE FIRST PERSON TO REALIZE MITHRUN WILL RUN OUT OF MANA IS KABRU, ffs, have the canaries spared a second to think of mithrun's- ARGH
-kabru out there doing the lord's work. everyone else is useless. USELESS, WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITHOUT KABRU
-YES KABRU, KEEP MITHRUN THERE! good boy. and yes, manga, feed me more mithrun and kabru moments, pls and thank you.
-of course it would be kabru that carried mithrun. don't worry, king, no one's taking him from you.
-kabru trying to talk to laios and laios trying to cut him off and leave is excruciating to read
-people really only listen to kabru when he's being honest and not putting up a facade, just sayin'. at least the people that matter to us do.
-i'm confused though. mithrun was the lord of a different dungeon, the one sealing goat demon. this one seals lion demon. why does lion demon know mithrun?

I finished watching Chainsaw Man and thought I would share what I thought of it!! Also I might do this more often for the shows that I finish cause idk I think it could be fun!
Anyway
My thoughts on Chainsaw Man:
One.....what the fuck??
Two....it's actually really fucking funny and most of the characters are actually very engaging and interesting!
Three...WHAT THE FUCK??
Why is it such a common theme to do the underage thing?? It's so gross and just--omg NO
Like Himeno is a badass amazing character who I would have loved to see get more development and see her past more (also I have no clue what goes in the manga so....you can let me know but no major spoilers plz) but it got utterly SQUASHED by her continuously being like "haha omg lol you're a minor, I couldn't possibly kiss you." and then proceeds to DO IT AHH NOO THANK YOU WHERE IS THE SPRAY BOTTLE????
She's a cool character but like....Oof
Like same thing with Mei Mei from Jujutsu Kaisen like she was such a fun/neat character and then--then omg like WHY???
anywayyyyyyy
I really enjoyed Power's character too!! She's so fun and I love me a good demon turned "good" so like yes she's perfect. And Meow Meow SOB Meow Meow 🥹
And I just LOVE that they all live together like its such a fun thing to add and I eat that shit UP
Denji's character is......Oof....I mean.....the guys got simple dreams but....Oof
I enjoyed watching him be like "oh shit wait I don't think I feel anything" like that's going to be a WILD thing to get into more and also the fact that other guy with the sword who is basically kinda sorta in the same boat as Denji was like "I DO have feelings so like you're bullshit" Ehehehe I'm sensing angst in the hopefully near future and I need itttt
Also FUCK Ms. Makima I don't give a shit she's crazy as fuck and def gonna just going to piss me off in the future I can sense it. Like poor Kishibe just wants to drink kill some demons and get laid and she keeps sending him people to train and get attached to only for them to DIE like AHHHH girl I dislike you much at the moment
Also Kishibe is just--damn the man you are let's get a drink together plzzzzzzzzz
Talking about people I thoroughly enjoy
Aki
AKI
Like LOOK AT HIM
AHHHHHHHHHHH Yall I love him and honestly he might be one of my new husbands ✋😩
What can I say, I love a man who smokes and is dead on the inside they are too scrumptious to pass up
If I end up writing fic for this show it's gonna be about him EXCLUSIVELY like omg I love himmm and I don't want him to DIE PLEASE NO LIKE LET ME MAKE A DEAL WITH ONE THIS DEVILS TO SAVE HIM PLZZZZZZZZZZZ
talking about the devils in this show--they are so cool! And I like that like the general public knows about them and that the Public Safety Devil Hunters work with cops and stuff like its so interesting!!! I feel like you don't really get to see a lot of that in shows where everyone knows about the monsters so very cool!
....that might be all I have to say for now about this show. Very interesting, very funny, very....interesting.
Do we know if it's getting a season 2? I would like a season 2 if possible plz I need to see my man Aki some more.
Thank you for coming to my very informal TED talk for those that made it this for
Gingernut's After-Show Debrief

i'm so mad at gege after the last episode cause it made me start thinking about female characters in jjk so here i am.
(jjk anime and manga spoilers ahead)
nobara is such a great character, she looks like the usual "girl of the trio" for like the first two seconds you know her but she's so much more and SO BADLY USED IN THE PLOT EXACTLY LIKE SHOKO
everything about yuji/megumi/nobara is a sort of parallelism with satoru/suguru/shoko but it doesn't work out completely cause we know almost nothing about shoko and the little we do know it's mostly written in the extra volume about jjk characters and techniques, it's not like gege actually tells us more about her in the plot and he could have done that in the hidden inventory arc even if it was meant to be focused on satoru and suguru AND THIS MAKES ME FURIOUS
like okay you just want a female character with healing powers? great (not great, but let's not focus on this rn) BUT AT LEAST MAKE HER ACTUALLY HEAL SOMEONE???? I LOVE HER BUT SHE'S SO USELESS, EVERYONE DIES IN SHIBUYA AND SHE'S JUST THERE DOING NOTHING WITH YAGA BECAUSE SHE CAN HEAL BUT SHE CAN'T FIGHT??? HELLO???
in the hidden inventory arc she's not even involved in missions, we have more scenes of her in the opening/ending that in the actual episodes. i don't need to know her whole story but if you put her there as the only character (beside satoru and yuta) who can use reversed technique then MAKE HER ACTUALLY USE IT WHEN NEEDED
and no, i'm not talking about this just because i want our beloved satosugu back. as a suguru kinnie i'm 100% convinced that his death was the only right option for his character from the moment he left jujustu tech. i have some mixed feelings about gojo's death but just because i think gege could've handled it better, not because i absolutely need him back like some delulu maniacs in the fandom (no offense, i'm suffering with you all but some people are crazy). but in shibuya she could've been more useful, at least in helping the students.
nobara at least has a strong personality and a cool technique, she's not just another sakura or orihime (i hate orihime but sakura is great too ofc, i just mean that nobara unlike them isn't the girl put there just to heal her male companions and have a crush on one of them) or shoko herself (and thinking about it shoko is even more useless cause sakura and orihime at least help and heal their crush).
we know a lot about her past, i was crying like a baby watching her say goodbye to fumi and then... she dies, just like that. her goal isn't even that difficult to achieve, it's not some big dream like suguru's, it's something extremely personal and she's not gonna reach it cause gege killed her. i love nobara too but honestly she doesn't have that great development merely because she dies before she can actually become stronger. everytime she fights she gets severly wounded or is there to support others or she's the one who needs support. i feel like she doesn't have her big moment before dying (like maki does for example, i know she's not dead yet but i wouldn't be so mad if it happened cause she has a great development since jjk 0. i would cry like a baby again though, pls gege don't kill her i'm begging you).
and no, i don't think nobara's death is necessary for yuji or the plot in general either. yuji has already seen nanami die in front of him, sukuna has killed who knows how many people and he could do nothing about it, he was still mad at mahito for junpei so why kill nobara too?
gege doesn't even show her in the afterlife when gojo dies (and a delulu part of me hopes that's because she's still alive), like i know that in that airport there are people from his past and the focus is on them, his blue spring and whatever but damn she's one of his students too, he talks about megumi and the fact that he still had things to explain to him but he doesn't even mention her? (he doesn't mention yuji either okay i know, i would've liked that too but at least they have a cute moment before the fight against sukuna).
instead of focusing on those that should be the main female characters we have mei mei though. don't get me wrong, she's our mommy, i'm barking (respectfully) every time i see her on screen or in the manga but is all that screentime really necessary? do i really need to see her in bed with ui ui or walking like a runway model for minutes? mmmh i don't think so.
i don't know, maybe i'm the one missing something in this story, maybe i'm not getting it completely but still, as much as i love jjk i'm mad. i could go on for days about this and what's happened in the manga these last few months, but i'm gonna stop for today.
at this point i'm convinced that gege introduced too many characters and he can't handle them properly, unlike other mangakas like horikoshi who literally shows you the backstory of every single kid you see, even the one drawn in the corner of a panel in that one chapter that everyone forgot about (horikoshi has problems handling fem characters too, but this is a whole other problem and it's something that involves a lot of different animes/mangas).
that's it, going back at crying now, thinking about how my life could be way better if i put this same effort in my studies.

I've got some yuri recs for you!
Hana ni Arashi: Chidori and Nanoha are best friends, but unbeknownst their friends, they are dating! Which they try to hide from said friends while cute couple shenanigans ensues. Very fluffy. so so fluffy. Also they are together from the beginning of the series?! say what?
Beauty and the beast girl: MONSTER GIRL YURI!!!! I REPEAT MONSTER GIRL YURI!!! (also if you are in the market for monster girl yuri, the author has a lot of them)
The sheep princess in wolf's clothing: fluffy sheep princess with a wolf butler in a suit, need I say more? Just like the sheep princess, the manga is also extremely fluffy
Can't defy the lonely girl: honor student/delinquent yuri. let's go! for the sake of getting into a good college, our resident honor student decides to help out the teacher deal with a troublesome student, and yuri shenanigans follows.
Yuri is taboo for a yuri otaku: himejoshi achieves her dream of being enrolled in an all girls highschool, where she can observe all the yuri happenings to her heart's content, but what happens when sparks fly between her and a gyaru? This is a yuri manga, you know what happens next.
The moon on a rainy night: Okay slightly more serious than the previous recs. A young pianist meets a beautiful girl one night and goes to school the next day to find out that she is the new transfer student and that she is DEAF. Lots of commentary on how society treats deaf people and such. Really cool.
Even if it was once, I regret it: Miss girl is four months behind on her rent, what does the landlady say to that "Please have sex with me" Woah! Woah! It's not that kind of yuri. It's like really sweet. A little racy, but sweet.
Anemone is in heat: Another honor student yuri! Our girl finally getting over the shame of failing her highschool entrance exams but a her new school, who does she meet but the girl who caused her to fail the exams. Drama ensues.
That time I was blackmailed by the classes green tea bitch: I know the title is... odd. But green tea bitch is just someone who acts innocent but is secretly manipulative. I swear it's really fluffy.
A story concerning sweets: A hospital ghost and a patient falling in love. What could go wrong? Fluffy, but tragic, but fluffy.
School zone girls: All of the girls are so weird and idiotic... It's lovely. Also fluffy.
Our days under one roof: fluffy autobiographical yuri. Enough said.
Goodbye, my rose garden: historical yuri! just trust me. pls. I don't have braincells to type anymore but trust me.
Otherside picnic: outlier spotted! outlier spotted! It is not fluff! infact it's a bit gorey. Just a bit. AHHH! I love them. Might be my favourite yuri of all time. I am bouncing off walls everytime I talk about them. Weirdo women, my sweet beloved. But I know it is a bit strange and weird. So, proceed at your own discretion. But proceed. Just a little bite. For me. A tiny bite.
Enjoy your yuri charcuterie board! \(^-^)/
(I have SO MUCH more yuri to recommend, but I'm tried lol. So there will be more yuri recs, just not now. This is a threath)
Oh some of these sound so incredibly up my alley it's like they were written just for me. Himejoshi falling in love with a gyaru? Buddy sign me up. Ghost love story? God, that could be so good.
Thank you for the recs!! I welcome every new rec you might have!!
#all these recs are killing me slowly because i wont have the time to read them until april#answered#yuri#manga recommendation

Some notes about Paper Tenko (devlog, I suppose?)
Tumblr has a really nice post system so I can dump most of my thoughts on here lol (and yeah, this will hopefully become a real game. I'm doing the best I can)
Rough premise of the game, as inspired by the original Paper Tenko:
Upon losing her precious peach during a night of sleep, Tenko goes on a pursuit after the thief (she caused lots of explosions). Throughout the chapters, a mystery reveals itself involving nightmarish dreams that are haunting the various inhabitants of Gensokyo. Some become cranky enough from drowsiness to fight you in battle, so you sucker punch them back to sleep so you can continue your Peach pursuit. Over time connections begin to show between the stolen peach, the thief, and the nightmare mystery, as Tenko slowly uncovers it and becomes more attached to the people she meets and beats up along the way.
(This is all being done with permission from the original developer)
There's currently around 5 or 6 planned partners (the "or" is because one of the characters can be cut without much effect to the story as a whole), and around 7 chapters total, with one planned to be pretty short. Some of the areas you visit in these chapters are Forest of Magic, The Underground, The Netherworld/Hakugyokurou (a maybe for both), and The Bamboo Forest (plus Eientei) which is currently my favorite chapter to write.
A big struggle with the story at the moment is keeping concrete of what locations to visit, and WHY you visit them. It's slowly getting chiseled out still! Many things are subject to change, but I'm honestly excited to keep writing this. It's made me a lot more interested in interpreting Touhou lore lol
Aesthetic notes:
The game's look will be mainly inspired by old Touhou flash animations, particularly the Walfas style (just the style). Preview is the above GIF
Additionally, for everything else, I'm taking a lot of notes from manga/comic styles, specifically for the speech bubbles, and likely other stuff as well. Effects, SFX, cutscenes, etc.
Other notes:
I'm taking cues from the first three Paper Mario games (PM64, TTYD, SPM) in terms of how battles are handled and how the overworld works. There's a bit more spin to it to make it a tiny bit more unique, like the addition of combos, a weather system to replace status effects, etc. but I'll try to keep a check to make sure that it's not straying too far. Gonna depend on what makes the game fun
Additionally I'm also looking at other similar RPGs for inspiration, mainly all of the mario ones (M&L, Mario RPG), some stuff from Bug Fables, and MMBN. Not necessarily gameplay, but aesthetics as well (I really like the M&L inventory, it looks cool). I'm also looking at the Touhou Fighting Games (mostly SWR)
Hopefully, I'll be able to make this idea into fruition! (ง◕▽◕)ง

One Piece Chapter 1128 - Initial Thoughts
And we are back
(sadly no lego movie gifs this time I looked for one but it wasn't what I was after)
A week break that continues to feel forever long has ended, and One Piece once more leapfrogs another new age manga past its end - I wasn't too familiar with JJK but it is a testament to One Piece's longevity that it has outlasted all of the 'new big 3' lineups fans try to push.
Regardless, we're still in lego, with a mixed bag of outfits and a lot of questions, let's get to it!
Spoilers for the Chapter, Support the Official Release too
Colorspread seems to be broomsticks (well, bamboo mops as broomsticks) and school outfits, Franky's kitted his broom out and Jinbe and Zoro are chilling on a dragon
But schoolgirl outfit Nico Robin...Oda please
The chapter title being RPG does seem to imply answers (also since I watch CR and TLOVM - S3's first 3 eps were great, second one chock full of easter eggs - it's like a convergence)
Already starting off with a laugh as Sanji, Nami in his arms, notes 'too many dudes around to be a dream' XD
Nami he used a super sentai invisibility suit to sneak into a bathhouse I'm pretty sure you know what kind of dreams he's having
Does he need to sleep with blood bags I wonder?
They hop off the Big Steinn Castle, which continues to collapse
Down below, Usopp, Luffy and Zoro and his awful eye mask discuss how they met up; Zoro was on the other side of town and spotted Luffy fighting the 'Ear God'
Luffy seemed confident that Usopp could've beaten the cat-lion, but Usopp laments that he 'lost his cool'
It's time for the detective hats to come on
Usopp notes that they're in giants outfits, but they're sized to them which seems inconsistent, Nami wonders if they were gigantified but also that their surroundings are all lego
The group agree to ask the locals, except Sanji who is using his creepy simp sniff to know that Robin at least is not nearby
Luffy and Usopp jaunt to the town, with Nami still not sure why everyone's excited
Zoro also points out that there's no wind, which yeah that'd be a bit off-putting
Something hops their direction, a big dude riding a giant grasshopper like a motorcycle
Really puts the biker allegory in A Bug's Life on its head
Renowned entomophobes Sanji and Nami immediately back away
The guy is big but not giant sized, he's also the one who maintains the Big Steinn Castle
The cat was called the 'Great Iskat' and the cute hedgehog was the 'Needle God'
He calls it the 'Land of the Gods' as Usopp stops Luffy from blurting that they beat up the Iskat
Hahahaha, he's talking about all the trouble they've caused while they try to play innocent XD
He also warns them not to follow the road, it's filled with rabid guardians and nobody has returned
Nami knows Luffy too well, but before she can finish her sentence Luffy's already running in that direction
Nami at least gives a cutesy look to placate the big guy
Even that stupid eye mask won't stop Zoro from looking feral at the prospect of rabid guardians
But yes Sanji, they do enable each other, much like you enable every woman within a 50 mile radius
Chasing Luffy we catch more Lego scenery
Luffy spots someone else running at them with speed, insisting they'll just dodge them
And runs straight into a glass wall
Seems the locals didn't know where they are, since they see the cracks as the sky breaking
It's an enclosure! Which explains why most of the giant animals are pet animals and everything else is normal sizes
The outside looks more like a giant's room, and a sewing machine
Chopper's here! He was outside the enclosure, apparently he was chained and collared
Nami hugs Chopper, but also insists that he owes her for it, which Usopp claps back given how scared Nami was
Zoro deduces that a giant calling themselves the 'Sun God' must've dressed them, with Usopp admiring the craftsmanship
Luffy also spots the lego blocks, which Sanji noting that the bad smell when cooking the Ear God would've been the smell of melting plastic
Which btw is bad, plastic fumes is very unhealthy
They observe the tinted glass too, seems that's not a normal thing in this world
Sanji has an idea but Nami shuts down his volunteering to clean the women's bathroom on the ship
Zoro is liking the enclosure less and less now, but Usopp takes the positive that at least they can confirm they're on Elbaf
Nami's not sure though, the culprit being a giant doesn't confirm that it's in Elbaf
Chopper wants to reunite with the crew, unsure of where they are
Usopp meanwhile wants to ask the locals, seeing what Luffy says
Luffy agrees, but is kinda busywith the giant snake behind them!
Prime Nami and Usopp scared faces too
There's also giant mice and a giant crow with a skull hat, which are believed to be the 'Rabid Guardians'
A giant is coming though, hearing a ruckus
Look at this dude! Premium level cthonic mage kinda design love it!
The 'Sun God' is surprised to see the gap under the door is on fire, overhearing the crew argue about Luffy going overkill
Seems he busted the furnace, causing a fire
'Sun God' meet Sun God
Usopp tells the group to run, but Luffy and Zoro are still wrapping up
Zoro takes out the crow, Muginn, and Luffy takes out the snake, Hyllmungandr
Think these are kinda sneaky mixtures of norse names; Hyllmungandr being a riff on Jormungandr the World Serpent and Muginn being a combo of Odin's ravens, Huginn and Muninn
The group try to run, but are blocked by Iskat
Annnnnd gets bonked on the head, so naturally now it must ride the crew out, with Chopper translating for it
Nami has finally showed some more thievery for the first time since like Zeus, unable to pilfer relics but she has a map of the enclosure
They plan to rush to the other side of the enclosure and break through the wall there, but the 'Sun God' has begun its chase
I mean from a sheltered standpoint you can see why these guys think that's a god
That was probably the strongest Elbaf chapter for me so far
It had comedy, intrigue, action, deduction, chaos, all round a good time. I'm satisfied with it being like an enclosure, it feels fitting to fairy tales involving giants too and I love this fake sun god's design. Can't help feel a little bad for him though, his pets have been beaten up and his pet rabbit eaten...
But we account for Chopper now too, alas it's the Alabasta squad now rather than the East Blue saga squad - could still use some Vivi, think that's all the crew just gotta account for the Sunny. There's not many angles of Chopper's Elbaf outfit but the hat is cute, think he has the same Queen-esque trousers as Usopp.
But this is the injection of fun needed for the arc, because we have to remember, the plot doesn't happen to Luffy
Luffy happens to the plot

KH2 Kairi is actually decent
I wish they do more with Kairi. For the little she's in, she seems like a cool character. I really appreciated and liked her in KH2. That's when I felt she had the most part in things.
I felt that she actually does things herself and takes part in the ending battle.
When Sora was surrounded by Heartless and it's way too much, Kairi jumps down and starts fighting with him with her keyblade.
When she was being chased by Axel for leverage, (that way Sora would go to her and Axel would perhaps turn Sora into a heartless, so he could see Roxas) Kairi gave him a chase for awhile.
She managed to outrun him for awhile and even went into a dark portal to get away. Axel himself remarked that not many would do that. Of course she did get caught but still I feel like that's pretty good.
Then she was trying to escape on her own too when she found Riku. That's when he gave her a keyblade to use.
Before Sora realized who Riku was, Riku was acting shy and didn't want to see him while looking like Ansem (SOD) along with the fact he kinda caused bad things to happen.
Riku wanted to leave and he kept pretending he was just a figure from the darkness. This is the moment where Kairi grabs Riku's arm and is like Riku don't go. There she is like, why is he acting like this, being shy and embarrassed.
She probably is thinking, why is he acting like this, we're all finally together again. Sora is surprised, but she pulls them together so everyone could realize it's their friend.
In the manga, she mentions this:
"Geez, when's you get to be like this?"
She obviously didn't know what happened to him or that Sora had his memories reformed and everyone almost forgot him and Riku had to deal with saving him and hurting Roxas (Riku is shown to feel compassion and remorse towards nobodies), along with the fact on the darkness he used and what he caused in the first game.
However, she gets him to stay and she tells Sora who he is. I felt like that was really big for her to try to reconnect her friends again.
That's the only time I'd probably say I like that she was able to connect all of their friendships again.
Honestly, I feel like she should try to be her own person outside her friends too because while the three of them are all friends, she ends up being pushed aside a lot. There she wasn't.
She was able to fight and defend Riku's back. Kairi was able to hold her own ground. But after KH2, it's not the same especially in KH3 which is her next role (DDD ending doesn't count nor does BBS)
KH3
In KH3, she could have come in the game much sooner. I feel like the training part was kind of something she shouldn't have done. I mean yeah she needs training, but couldn't they have her do that when Riku and Sora were in Dream Worlds?
Why couldn't they decide to train her then? Is it because the stakes were high when they realized Xehanort had gathered a new organization for his vessels?
I feel like they could have gotten her a lot sooner. Maybe even not train as long in the game? Remember at the end of DDD Sora goes to see the dream eaters and is there for a while, maybe during that time she could have and once Sora is done with seeing Hercules, Kairi could have helped Ienzo and the others with reviving Namine.
She could have helped some other way like how Riku and Mickey was searching for Aqua.
Sora was traveling to get stronger and gain the ability of waking.
Ienzo and the ex organization members were studying things to help Roxas and figure out what the enemy is trying to plan.
Kairi could have helped them or even helped with Namine return instead.
But she just gets pushed to the side. While her conversation with Lea is fine and shows that he is sorry for what he has done and sees Xion in her, that could have been in that beginning and only then. Why does she have to train for that long?
I feel like actually going to worlds and helping is better.
Then in the battle at the end she is absolutely kind of useless. Like she isn't holding up as much in KH2, of course there will be stronger people but I don't know... I feel like she could have kept going and trying. Then she gets taken by Xemnas, until Xehanort destroys her.
Thus she becomes a damsel in distress and a plot device again. Sora saves her and then he is launched off to the Quadratum.
And her being a plot device is one of the exact reasons I think she should be her own person outside of her friends, Riku and Sora.
She could do so much more as a character without them because the story is about Sora and Riku among other things. They are the main focus, they are in every game (besides mobiles since those are in the past) and are even focused more on in birth by sleep— a game where they aren't the main characters. They have greater screen time than her. It's still little, but it's more.
Hopefully since in MoM she is going to train under Aqua, it will show some interesting development of a character for her.
She's only in the main numbered games really, and it seems she might not be in the next installment. However, I really hope we get more on her or more of a story relating to her. Because her backstory has potential, her character has potential. It's just not used enough.
Even in parts of the novel and manga that I've seen, she seems almost better there. It's probably because she's not the focus.
But hopefully in the future she will be more

The SOMA - CROMA peace treaty
Well, seems I kinda was indirectly at fault for starting a "shipwar", so for Christmas I'll be the Grinch and steal all the animosity away:
Soul and Maka being together is obviously implied, it's not even just subtext but basically the point of the first one shot chapter. There are countless moments in the anime and manga that work with that and it is undeniable that the romantic part of "being partners" is the most felt with them - from all the handholding, dieing for each other, bickering but actually caring deeply for each other, the pseudo-kiss at the anime end, etc. Crona and Maka's relationship has romantic undertones too - and that is also mostly undeniable, especially in the anime but also in the manga - like Maka calling Crona's soul beautiful, abandoning her past believes and resentment for Crona, Crona defending and later even taking a deadly blow for Maka, saying Maka "made one happy for the first time", etc (Also manga spoilers, so I leave that for the iceberg videos later)
So what am I trying to say by this? That in the end, there really isn't any battle for "truth" - Ohkubo was simply too much pussyfooting and didn't really want to commit enough for either side in the end - because yeah, both side make sense but both also exclude each other. Prefering one or the other is not as much as one side being "wrong" but seeing another thing being reflected in you - basically what I mean - Soul and Crona are both self-inserts of Ohkubo, parts of his view of himsellf or better said archetypes that reflect on the audience: That's why maybe SOMA and CROMA both work in their weird ways - both are just the author shipping himself with his dream waifu - Wait, now I have ruined this for everybody- No, what I tried to say is actually, that charachters aren't "real". not in the sense of "oh it's just entertainment, don't overthink it", but in the way that they aren't individuals like me and you, in the end they are ideas being mediated, emotions being expressed - so is it really the right aproach to try to "PROVE" one's side? - And I'm being self critical here, cause even if I tried to make those posts "Memes" or kinda tongue in cheeck, I did express a sentiment of mine - one which thinking deeply is just emberassingin the end lol. But fuck, I probably miscomunicated with this again - look simplyl said, these charachters are written by the way one reads them, each interpretation is a seed of a story - cause that's what storys are themselves - a series of reteling and changes building on each other - like Soul is obviously inspired by Joe from Ashita no Joe - not consiously necessarily - but being the archetypical "too cool for school" ruffian with a secret heart of gold - but he also isn't just a retread - but an evolution, with the change of backstory from a street urchin to a rich kid under presure: So as "real" authors reinterpret storys, so does everybody, hell I freely admit that in my comic I bend the charachters in a way that I think is interesting and lets me say something new or funny or weird or just even stupid for the sake of it: So Tl;Dr - it doesn't matter which ship is "canon" or "valid" because in the end both "sides are doing something different which doesn't really denys each other - two different storys that yet reflect the one world we all are living in, so vast it's more diverse than any corporate "multiverse"
(Oh also on the whole "problematic" aspect - I think in the end one gets if they aren't some sicko, that yeah, one aspects the charachters in time to get over the charachter flaws that would make a relationship be not the best idea - like yeah Crona should become more of an independet person before "dating" Maka, so unless one wants Crona to stay either a murderous psychopath or a baby that has to be cared for by Maka 24/7, I think there isn't some problem - and why one then probably writes in the change in their interpretation - like I'm trying in my stupid comic, and why I didn't tag it as a CROMA story, firstly because I tried not to get into this whole shipping thing, which probably would have been better and why I' try to get out of it again lol, and because I thought that yeah a lot of things should happen before and that there is a lot potential beyond some generic "fluff" story or whatever people like) So yeah, this will be my last post about "shipping", and I hope people get something from it - worst case scenario CroMa and SoMa shippers can be united in actually having evidence and reason for their shit unlike shit like KidMa which has no canon at all lol But hey, I won't be an asshole for once and say even that could be an interesting thing to explore - the story of a bookworm that competes with the privileged talented Kid, only to see the imperfections as not things to gloat about but as what binds them all. IDK
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! See you again in 2024, and if this post only causes more drama, as allways:
Yeah...Sorry
#soul eater#soma#croma#soul eater evans#maka albarn#crona#shipping is kinda stupid in the end#should have followed my natural instincs as a boy on that lol#better hate me than each other#cromaka#soul x maka#merry christmas#happy new year

Sayaka is transported to the world of Pokemon and ends up meeting Sabrina the Kanto Psychic Gym Leader by chance and befriending her. Especially since both were psychics! Though as time goes by Sabrina uses her powers to be more 'aware' of Sayaka's needs and goes to remedy it~
Warning: lewd content below
“Wow, I can't believe battles are so fun!” Sayaka cheered as she got into another fight.
“I still can't believe that battles weren't popular where you're from.” Sabrina commented while watching the fight. Apparently, Sayaka was a visitor from “out of town”, and needed a job. Lucky for the both of them, Sayaka was a natural born psychic, so she bonded quickly with the psychic type pokemon in Sabrina's gym. One thing lent to another and Sayaka ended up becoming a gym trainer for Sabrina. Not that she was complaining, the extra hands were helpful, even if they had no experience with battles.
‘She’s probably a nervous mess.’ Sabrina thought to herself. ‘I should read her mind to check up on her. It’s her first battle against a stranger, so her thoughts are probably-’
‘Arceus please let me lose this battle so the trainer can rail me.’
What.
‘Oh, you're in my thoughts Sabrina?’ Sayaka asked, not entirely confused considering the psychic trainer's background. ‘In that case could you help a girl out? Make me lose with your mind powers so I can get some cock please?’
‘...I’m seriously worried for you and I've only known you for three days.’ Despite her complaints, Sabrina used ‘psyshock’ to faint Sayaka's pokemon, resulting in the idol losing the fight. The bluenette shot Sabrina one last wink before being dragged away by the challenger since she “ran out of money” (in reality she had her wallet on her, but just wanted to get dicked down in the back of the gym).
—--------
‘So could you tell me how to get cool psychic powers like you?’ Sayaka telepathically asked Sabrina.
‘We can communicate with each other using just our minds. Isn't that cool enough?’
‘Yeah but that's like kid psychic stuff, I wanna do the cool stuff like…’ Sayaka ran into the middle of the street. ‘Flip up my skirt using the wind!’
‘Do all your psychic power ideas come from pervy manga? I'm not doing that.’
‘Please? For a friend's sake?’
Sabrina rolled her eyes, before finally using “attract” on Sayaka, causing Sayaka to shake her ass in the middle of the street, attracting the attention of several young men, all eager to steal a glimpse of the sluts white panties. Sayaka bounced her ass faster, rubbing it against some select crowd members, inviting them to cop a feel or even go for a bold spank. Sabrina sighed. What does twerking for an audience have to do with being a psychic trainer?
—-----
“I really can't thank you guys enough for this.” The lucky student responded as tea was poured for him.
“Don't mention it, any friend of Sayaka's is a friend of mine.” Sabrina smiled. Apparently, Sayaka wasn't the only one to visit from ‘out of town’. Her childhood friend also tagged alone for the ride, but instead of ending up with a gym leader, he joined forces with a strong yet silent gym challenger named Red.
‘This is great.’ Sabrina thought. ‘Sayaka finally reunited with her long lost childhood friend. And he's not even a pervert like her. There's no way she could corrupt this innocent sou-.’
‘Both cocks, my mouth, let's do this thing!’
‘Oh son of a bitch!’
Sayaka smiled innocently as she telepathically asked for the lewdest request yet. Already giving up the urge to resist the idol's commands, Sabrina used “hypnosis” on the two boys, controlling their minds and dropping their pants.
“Thank you so much Sabrina!” Sayaka exclaimed out loud, since both boys were stuck in a trance. “This is a dream come true. Even though he's my childhood crush, I've always loved him since I first- Damn! Did this Red guy use “growth” on himself or something?”
“How romantic.” Sabrina remarked with an eye roll as she watched Sayaka put 100% of her focus into sucking off Red’s massive dick. Sabrina ignored the slut to make herself a cup of coffee. Never in a million years would she think someone would ask her to use her psychic powers like this. Especially not so…pervertedly.
As Sabrina watched Red fuck Sayaka doggy style while she made out with Makoto, she shook her head smiling. Say what you want, Sabrina is glad she made a new friend

More TanGenKana (w Butterfly Boy Genya) things:
Kanao is the one who sees him the most. They have daily training together and she even suggested for him to douse his shotgun shells and bullets with poison.
Tanjiro gets scolded often. Like, really often. Because he's so reckless. Kanao is the same, Genya is so close to snapping at them.
Genya and Kanao made Tanjiro a butterfly clip (Genya STRUGGLED). He has it in his uniform's pocket to make sure nothing bad ever happens to it, he considers it a good luck charm.
Shinobu sometimes sees the three cuddle and puts a blanket on them while threatening Tanjiro with a smile because Genya is her son/little brother now.
Genya is very reluctant to talk to Sanemi, choosing to avoid him when he gets injured and having Aoi treat his wounds, or when he shows up. If there's another slayer or Hashira in the same room as his brother, he'll treat them instead of him. Aoi, Tanjiro and Kanao are his mental and emotional support when Sanemi comes.
Tanjiro and Kanao bring Genya souvenirs when they come back from missions. Read that as blood from demons or even some chunks of skin they managed to salvage.
During the training arc, Shinobu allowed Genya to work with her, Tamayo and Yushiro due to his ability. Tanjiro and Kanao didn't almost see him around when the training happened, Hashibami only gave them a letter that explained he was helping Shinobu with something very important,
OOOOH THESE ARE SO COOL- I HOPE I CAN ADD ONTO THIS!
-Them making a butterfly pin for Tanjiro would be so funny because I see Genya trying to make it with Kanao giving guidence, failing and Kanao just fixes his 7 fails. She's probably seen Kanae and Shinobu make them.
-Shinobu 100% sends nightmares into Tanjiro's dreams when she finds them cuddling together
-"My brother's here..." "Don't worry I'll be at his ass" "Don't do that Tanjiro." "We'll be at his ass." "Don't do that either Kanao!" Bonus: *they tried and got broken bones/hj*
[!MANGA SPOILERS AHEAD!]
Considering the fact that Shinobu told Kanao her plan, she probably told Genya or he found out and tried stopping her. Of course Shinobu still did this anyways despite protests, Kanao most likely didn't say anything. I think after this would've caused a gap between the two since Kanao didn't even try to protest Shinobu's idea and Genya's frustrated over that.
It'd be a hard time keeping that a secret for Genya maybe, so anytime he sees anyone Shinobu knows- heck especially Aoi and the other sisters he just runs. Wait till he finds out what happens to Kanao and Tanjiro in the war. 😍
Speaking of that, unsure how the events would turn out- maybe Sanemi would ACTUALLY die because he'd probably gain more injuries from Upper 1 unless we just throw that onto the poor Gyomei who's already dead. Who knows. Even if Sanemi doesn't actually die, Genya still has to hear about Shinobu's death, Kanao going blind and Tanjiro losing an arm then almost becoming the demon king himself. While he was just waiting for the war to end, he'd feel the same guilt as Aoi.
I mean he could run with Nezuko to the battle field also and just see for himself, maybe just shooting out the antidote thingy at Tanjiro while Kanao stabs the syringe and all the other chaos is going on.💀
LOVERS TO THE RESCUE!!

I'll need to start reading the manga so I can form proper opinions about each character, but 'til now it's really cool how Nami translates the customs of the strawhats to outsiders and how much Zoro gets Luffy, without even needing to talk with him.
Nami because she knows how they look from the outside and how to shape their extravagant ways into something that can be understood by people who don't think like them. That's logical, since she had to deal with Zoro and Luffy first, no doubt the craziest duo around.
And with Zoro, like I said, he's exactly as insane as Luffy when it comes to risking his life for his goal. The rest of them doubted to some degree or were more "normal" about it. Take that moment when Nami's sister was about to explain their past and Luffy went on a walk, while Zoro took a nap. They knew Nami's past was none of their business if it wasn't she willingly telling them —and even then, Zoro understood that Luffy didn't need to know her past to rescue her, 'cause they were nakamas and he trusted her and he would do it anyway. It's why Zoro took the same approach.
Luffy's talent is accepting people for what they are and understanding them without words. Zoro and Nami got glued to him the moment he was able to see the trouble underneath their skins, the weight on their shoulders. He respected them and cared about them, without looking down on them
For Zoro and Luffy, fearing death would only keep them from reaching their full potential and going all out for their dreams. That's why they play the game at maximum and if they lose, well they lose and they are able to smile, because they did their best and died dreaming.
Nami is able to explain that they are lunatic for it, of course, living at their fullest also makes them free. Their unbreakable spirits and their will to see their dreams come true is contagious and infests the strawhats, running through them like wildfire. That way of being also means that they can trust each other blindly, leaving to their nakamas their parts while they focus on their own problems.
Zoro and Luffy are unmovable, unstoppable. Nami is the one who puts into words how it means the world for their pirate crew.

Episode 11. Wow.
What an episode, man. When me and Arin finished watching we were both like "I don't even know what to say" and immediately watched it again
The visuals were incredibly cool across the board. The whole thing was one gorgeous shot after another
I feel crazy saying this when he's the one dude in this show I find particularly attractive so far, but I wish Knives would put some clothes on. I was so relieved when he had the snuggie again in that one scene
Big "Jesus wandering in the desert for 40 days getting tempted by the devil" vibes during that entire dream sequence
Child Rollo getting shot was the most disturbing violent imagery the show has had up to now. Way more unpleasant than Knives chopping off arms with blood splattering everywhere. We've already seen multiple on-screen gunshots to the head, sure, but all of them were telegraphed rather than sudden, and none of the targets were children.
Knives holding the Punisher kept making me laugh, which maybe interferes with the effect of the scene? I don't know. I don't feel negatively about that or think it was a bad script choice, it's just really funny to me
Vash and Knives' relationship is quite different from the manga, which is fine. I've fully sectioned off Stampede's continuity in my brain at this point. I feel like I need to get to know these new versions all over again before I know how to feel about them, though.
Huge lol at Knives talking about 'history' and then the camera showing him reading the Bible.
I hope we continue to see more of Tesla going forward and this brief flashback isn't all we get to see of the twins reacting to her. I feel like it would make sense, right? Given Knives has her fucking eyeball?
I suspect Conrad is planning to betray Knives by leaving him in the other dimension-- or he just didn't tell him about some kind of negative consequence of interacting with that thing. That extremely ambiguous "if I have to sacrifice one of the twins" line in episode 10...
We have hit the manga-typical pregnancy imagery. Whoof. WHOOF.
I like the incompetent military police guy. I don't understand anything about his characterization in these last two episodes vs. the first one, but I think he's great. A deeply pathetic enigma. I assume he is about to die with the rest of the city, so rip in pieces I guess.
I hope those bugs we see at the end mean Zazie is coming to cause problems on purpose. How informed were they about the details of Knives' plan? If they DIDN'T already know it would involve a giant alien root system exploding into their ecosystem, I can imagine they might be a little peeved
