I think that Tengen had some guilt over this method, maybe incited by Yuki's desperation to not be used as a star plasma vessel driving her to become a special grade sorcerer, and her refusal to choose a side and cooperate with jujutsu high, but find another way to eliminate curses.

so when Riko was lost and the other vessels didn't have so high of a potential, then it wasn't worth the guilt, because the future was inevitable (Tengen still feels like kenjaku's ex, like they were behind everything, good cop bad cop style, even if Tengen drifted away at the end).

the way that only Yuki, as a star plasma vessel, can hear the others within Tengen feels like victims understanding each other, but the abuser not listening to understand. Yuki refused to tell Tengen about them, because Tengen would have gotten defensive with her own narrative instead of accepting what they had to say of their own experience.

Tengen feels like Stockholm syndrome to me.

from what I understand, curses are only so strong and prevalent in Japan because of Tengen's barriers in the first place.

but in something like a hero homicide complex, Tengen's barriers give support to the sorcerers. Tengen is regarded as a foundational, super important support to jujutsu, despite being the amplifier of cursed energy that caused this problem in the first place.

but since curses disappear and kill thousands of people every year just in Japan, they're dependant on Tengen and her barriers. jujutsu kaisen translates to something like cycles of sorcery battles, which I think is fair to describe as cycles of abuse tracing back to Tengen.

he uses 父親 chichioya which is a general societal term for father meaning he attaches no politeness or feelings towards the word. basically saying "person you would call your dad since he technically made you"**
