I lost my nearly 15 year old dog last month. I had him since I was a young kid, and it just rocked me. I thought I was prepared, you see these things coming when your pets get to be a certain age, but it hurt so much more than I thought.

I found myself thinking “It’s inconsiderate/ridiculous to compare this to the grief of losing a human family member” but that’s not what I felt. This is one of the biggest griefs I’ve gone through in my life. My boss actually lost her aunt that same weekend, and when she and I talked about it, she didn’t diminish my feelings. I was actually given bereavement time for my dog, which I had not been expecting. Unfortunately, this is not the norm in most places.

Pets are family. And Diesel, I miss you buddy.

Can you imagine how the clones' speech patterns change once they are out of Kamino? Not just the slang they use, but in general how they speak. At some point you can start to differ the different battalions based on their speech. This is even more notable when it comes to the Commanders or other clones who deal more closely with their generals. Rex is distraught when he realises that he sounds like a teenager. Cody just proceeds to sound even more like a wisened old Commander despite being the middle child. Fox sounds like a tired retail manager trying to calm down a Karen.

i have no idea how she survived the Kellin incident, but she did

she is brought into the hospital with Arthur and it is assumed that he is her father. shes kept there wherever they keep infants, and as a part of Lucy's job,she would bring the baby in there sometimes, or talk about how the baby was.

john is now slowly attaching himself to this baby, she and Lucy helped him gain humanity while stuck for a month while Arthur is in a coma

before escaping the hospital John makes Arthur grab the baby

and they skedaddle out of that joint.

they name her Lucy after the nurse.

arthur thinks the hyphen in the last name is gaudy, but if john likes it then he will settle for it. he does giver her the middle name Bell though Lucy Bell Lester-Doe

and thus the "Lucy Au" is born

honestly watching the Barbie movie made me feel profoundly understood in ways I didn’t have the words for. yes. you can just be yourself. you don’t have to be anything for anyone else. you can cry and be angry and you can be happy and you can be loving and you can be crazy and it’s all fine because you are not for anyone but yourself

Isabelle’s cries reverberated through the village for three straight nights, starving the townsfolk of rest. Her husband, Stephen, could be found pacing outside their home, entering for brief periods when the doctor allowed.

Bets had started to take place among the neighbours about the likelihood of the child’s—and Isabelle’s—survival.

Finally, just before the break of dawn on what would have been the fourth day of labouring, Isabelle gave birth. A relief to everyone, save for those in the room, when it happened. For this was no normal babe. Ten fingers, yes. Ten toes, of course. Big eyes, button nose, and a wisp of dark hair atop the head. But the child did not cry. The wail of a newborn was never heard in the house of Stephen and Isabelle. Not a gasp, nor a tear.

The doctor was prepared to announce the baby dead, but upon closer inspection, the baby’s chest, sure enough, rose and fell. The child lived. The doctor, confused but satisfied, cut the cord and handed the baby to the nursemaid to be washed.

No sooner than the baby entered the basin of water that the nursemaid shrieked. An absolutely ungodly sound. Stephen barged toward her with the intent to scold. “Do you know how to do your job, woman? Have you never seen a brand new baby, before?” Stephen, of course, had never seen a brand new baby before, but that did not stop him from berating the poor woman. Stumbling over her tongue, the nursemaid simply held the baby up to Stephen, presenting the back of the newborn to the new father.

Stephen went silent, and Isabelle, who had not yet even held her baby, demanded to know what was happening. Several long seconds passed in which no one spoke. Isabelle, again, demanded an answer. The doctor fell to his knees and started to pray.

Isabelle, belly still round, body swollen and sore, started to push herself to her feet. Stephen held out a hand to stop her, but his will was weak, and Isabelle stood and walked carefully to the wash basin, the nursemaid, and her newborn. When she saw what was on the babe’s back, she stumbled, and Stephen caught her in his arms.

A mark, as if drawn in ink, sprawled over the newborn’s back, from the tailbone to the nape of the neck. Isabelle had never seen anything like it. No one had. A cold dread passed through the body of the new mother, and she knew that something dark lived within her child. Something she could not love.

“It’s dead,” Isabelle said, finally breaking the silence.

“Isabelle?” Stephen asked. “The child lives, it-”

“It’s dead,” Isabelle repeated. “It was born dead. I birthed a corpse. You saw it. The nursemaid saw it. The doctor saw it.” Isabelle looked around the room, and no one spoke against her. “We have suffered a tragic, but not unheard of, loss.”

Isabelle pulled the sheet from her bed, wet with blood and other bodily fluids. She snatched the newborn from the shaking hands of the nursemaid, and wrapped the tiny body in the thin blanket. The baby squirmed, and Isabelle shoved the bundle into the arms of her husband. “Get rid of it. No one must see this creature.”

Stunned, and afraid, Stephen nodded. He fled the house in the still dark morning, and ran until he reached the ravine. Stephen looked around, unsure. His mind had not caught up with the reality of the situation. Fearing what might happen when it did, Stephen looked once more at his newborn child. He pulled the blanket tighter over the baby’s face, and threw it into the rushing water. He turned his back, and raced against the first rays of dawn to his home.

I wanna nerd out a bit about the new operator (3-headed Ghost) because I just bought him and I can't stop looking at him.

While he is a bizarre combination of limbs from the TF141 members, he's listed as a member of KorTac, a private military contractor in the game known for having the bad guys, including Makarov, Graves, and some Konni soldiers. As of now, all the information of the operator appears as [REDACTED].

The masks he wears are arranged in chronological order following the events of the campaign, starting from the one on the right side, worn by Simon during Grave's betrayal. The mask in the middle is from the cinematic where Simon and Johnny meet up with Rodolfo again to rescue Alejandro, and the mask on the left side is from another cinematic, where Ghost's team eventually defeats Shadow Company.

He has five arms, two of which belong to Simon and are located on the right side of his body. On the left side of his body, two of the three arms are mutated together, and one of the arms belongs to Soap -easily recognizable by his SAS tattoo-, grasping Price's arm, while Gaz's arm is on the back.

Some of the accessories he wears include Gaz's cap,

Price's scarf,

and Farah's headband.

While he is listed as a KorTac operator, still attached to it can be seen a United Kingdom Special Forces patch on Ghost's arm.

Another curious fact is that the solitary arms on the back (belonging to Simon and Gaz) and Simon's head do not stop twitching, to the point it looks rather painful, as the head twitches force his entire body to move as well.

When you're in the selection screen, the Alone operator examines his mutated arm for a few seconds before moving on.
