first and foremost, most luke warm take of them all!: i think halsin should be a bear in every meaning of the word, so hes got muscles, sure, but theyre hidden under layers and layers of chub, hes got that belly on him<333

I honestly think that physically Xie Lian is the strongest character in TGCF and maybe in the whole MXTX universe in general. The cool thing about him is that he looks completely harmless, but only because nobody can see the ✨muscles✨ under these big robes.

Hey gentle reminder that body positivity also applies to people who are underweight. It applies to guys who look frail and to girls with flat chests and small hips. To people who are considered weird to be attracted to because of how skinny they are, whose partners are accused of being pedophiles because of their body type. To people who have visible ribcages. To people who constantly get told to eat more, or who get interrogated about having eating disorders. It actuall also applies to people with eating disorders, and to bodies that have been shaped by them.

I'm tired of seeing people who claim to be body positive reinforcing society's negative views about underweight body types as a way of trying to give themselves a leg up. Learn what society's beauty standards are before criticizing them. You are not woke for calling women with small boobs ugly.

Every now and then the Discourse flares up around certain characters: they are a fighter, they cannot look Like That! They are too strong, they must be This One body type and saying otherwise makes you stupid!!!

Guys.

I did HEMA fencing for six years. And let me tell you - our top fighters? Both men and women? They came in all shapes and sizes.

Some were absolute shit brickwalls. Some were made of bones, scrawny muscle and not much else. Of course they all favoured different techniques (strength and stamina vs speed and agility) but they were all fencers and all phenomenal at it.

Your fighter character can be shaped like a barrell or a stick, it doesn't matter, there's most likely a real life martial artist out there who looks like that.
