Summary of The Cat of The Year poll atrocities of 2023/2024
I'm sure that most people on this side of tumblr have seen the Jellie vs. Nefarious Anglerfish poll going around with like 60k votes at this point, and I'd really like clear up some of what happened since I was around for the whole thing.
Url blocked out for op's privacy. They have already left but don't look for it if you haven't seen it/don't harrass them if you already have.
1. The previous round (preparation)
I discovered the poll in its previous round, needless to say she beat Jort's ass severely. This was around the 3rd of january, meaning that this round finished before jellie's passing with only about 7k votes. Op did add their own piece of propaganda from their main:
...which was FINE. (except for stuff we'll see later) Of course running a poll while biased isn't ideal but I for one didn't even know they were the op until much later. I also added my own piece in a separate thread, and they didn't interact with it at all. There was no drama.
2. The Finale
Jellie unfortunately passed away right before the starting of this poll, which was the catalyst for what happened next. Op did exactly as last time and added a slightly more mean spirited encouragement to vote for the other contestant. This is the point where I believe that i fucked up personally.
I added this thinkpiece accusing op of associating all mcyters with Dream (who we all hate for the record) despite them not alluding to him at all. This is because tumblr has a history of disimissing all mcyters as... everything that dream was been accused of. Op did allude to not caring for mcyt. but they didn't say what i accused them of. This is important to point out because this reblog of mine is still being spread. Jellie was in the lead at the time, but not by the time i woke up next morning.
I won't be including anyone else's additions because I don't want to put blame on any specific person. Just felt like clearing up mine.
3. The Fuckening
Some time later op made this post to their personal blog:
which is insanely shitty because, as other people have pointed out, the "lame ass youtube cat" didn't die to inconvinience op or ruin their fun, and people would have probably voted for her anyway because jelly is universally beloved in the mcyt community. This isn't anti democratic. This post was added to the poll with a caption saying op should not be running this poll, and it took off. Op later went on to say that this was a joke:
This apology was not taken well by people, (including me) because "you were not meant to see it" isn't an apology and they still very much made fun of someone's pet dying. Safe to say this did not make the drama stop and only added fuel to the flame. I believe this was the point where the conversation of mcyt fans being unjustly sent hate to was reignited.
We should discuss that! it's a real thing that happens often and is equal to childish bullying. However, in this case, OP was the only one getting sent hate to my knowledge. The notes were mostly saturated by mcyt fans, and even now i can only find one or two hateful stance towards us under the whole 20k notes post.
4. Conclusions
Op posted a second apology to the catoftheyear blog to try and calm people down (i believe this is comprehensive and a lot better than the previous one) The blog was deactivated shortly after, so i only have my phone screenshots of it that i also added to the poll itself at some point:
(Edit) Here's proof that op did not write the justification they got criticised for, from the notes of the original poll:
This apology didn't get seen, or get accepted by enough people, so op made this statement on their personal:
Needless to say I am deeply dissapointed (and guilty) that it's come to this. Yes, op said tasteless things that made us all angry, but telling a human being to commit suicide is worse than being insensitive about a stranger's pet dying. Even after I posted about the blog being decatived i had someone come into my notes to wish that "they never find happiness" i mean wtf. This isn't like shipping where we can do whatever without the content creator's input. this is fucking harrowing and i can't imagine how i'd feel if this was done in my/my pet's name especially after losing them as recently as a week ago.
I hope no one from hermitcraft who is on here (let alone scar holy shit) learns about this like they did with previous lighthearted tournaments. If you truly respect the creators you claim to be a fan of as people, you do not tell people to kill themselves over them. And finally, let Jellie fucking rest, guys. she had a long, good life. I hope op can come back and also avoids behaving like this if they ever wish to do so. I'm angrier at mcytblr, though.
#catoftheyear#jellie#tw animal death#tw suicide bait#hermitcraft#goodtimeswithscar#adding to main tags so people see this instead of the poll itself with no context on how it ended#If this breaches containment and gets used as a reason to hurt mcyt fans i am going zo eat whoever is doing that#catoftheyeartournament#jellie the cat

â ïžPOLITICSâ ïž
haha bet you forgot through the shitposts that i have a bachelor's degree in political science
here's a bunch of reasons why Kamala Harris is going to win the presidency because i can never find the effort to edit this into a video:đ
1. The current polls are VERY biased towards republicans. Most large polls just take the averages of other smaller polls, and right now the GOP has been dumping LOTS OF MONEY into publishing a lot of fluff polls in swing states to make themselves look better and to get more donations. Democrats don't usually publish their polls publicly. Odds are it's another red mirage.
2. The majority of people who Trump is catering to just don't vote. A lot of the latest pushes in the Aiden Ross Gamerbro communities are not reliable voters, even as loud as they are online. You cannot convince me that the twitter edgelord crowd has ever even seen a ballot in their lives.
3. In elections canvassing matters by about 300% more than advertising (my own ballpark estimate, not a specific datapoint, but still very true having worked in both canvassing and campaign marketing). The only people signing up to canvass for Trump are just stealing Elon's money, meanwhile people are flying out from all 50 states to swing states to canvass for Kamala.
4. "This is Hillary Clinton all over again." No it isn't. Hundreds of papers have been published that all agree that the reason Hillary lost (besides the Michigan debacle) was that largely a lot of people already assumed she was going to win, and so they didn't go out to vote. Sean Westwood did a really good paper on this in 2018, the more likely you are expected to win, the less of your supporters turn out. The entire narrative is that Kamala is either tied or behind, so anyone who supports her will NOT be sitting this one out.
5. Kamala just did a MASSIVE rally event in Texas. Texas. In this part of the campaign, any sane strategist would tell you to do ALL campaigning in the swing states, so this makes no sense... unless internal democrat polls are saying that Texas is now winnable for democrats. I will remind you that Texas is not NEARLY as red as the stereotype says, and Greg Abbot has himself previously said that Texas would have gone blue if not for all of the voter suppression he did. I'm not joking. This is real. The only reason Texas is still Lean Red instead of Moderate Blue is because of insane levels of voter suppression by Texas GOP.
6. When turnout is low, republicans win. When turnout is high, democrats win. Turnout is already STUPIDLY high in the early voting metrics. Even higher than 2020 (which i will remind you, we won) in some cases.
7. Voter demographics just aren't on Trump's side here. Lots of republicans have bled out of Trumpism, and in a close enough race as this one looks to be even a few thousand republicans deciding to stay home could make or break it in a lot of states. Additionally, while Trump has made a lot of progress in minority voters (daily reminder that the median voter is stupid enough for "median voter" to be used as a slur in political science communities), Kamala has the white woman vote locked down. And oh no! Look at that! Which voter demographic is orders of magnitudes both larger and more active voters than all of the minority demographics that Trump has been gaining in? Yep! Kamala's lead in the white woman demographic has entirely erased Trump's gains in other communities. Abortion was the final nail in the coffin of republican chances, they took the mask off too early. The dog caught the car and didn't know what to do with it.
8. Voter demographics are STILL not on Trump's side even ignoring all that other stuff, because keep in mind, Trump voters have largely been older people, and the waves of people who elected him previously have... well they've kind of died. Covid really didn't help with that. I mean obviously not everyone, but like, this is a close race, and a very large chunk of those voters have been reincarnated as plants or whatever now.
9. "The X Factor" is 100% on Kamala's side. By that I mean just the force of raw charisma, the Kamala campaign is just more appealing and less unnerving to the general population. I really hate to keep hammering this but oh my god dude have you SEEN JD Vance????? Even after the debate where he performed as best as he possibly could and Walz performed as bad as he possibly could, samples STILL said they supported Walz over Vance by a factor of 85 PERCENT.
10. "The Shy Trump Effect." There's a myth a lot of people believe that Trump underperforms in polls and overperforms in elections because voters are shy to admit they're fans of him. A few things. #1: This was disproved so many times, including in Sean Westwood's previously mentioned paper. #2: Even after it's disproved, many polls already factor it into their calculations, which is actually INFLATING his odds in the polls. #3: Anyone who would have been a Shy Trump Supporter either just isn't going to vote this election cycle or is going to follow the Cheney's lead and vote for Kamala instead. This is probably the one election in our entire lives where Democrats have appealed to the right and it actually fucking worked.
11. Polymarket. A lot of people point to the new Polymarket as evidence that Trump has a lot of support among the average joe crowd. These people have no idea how the Polymarket works. American citizens legally can't bet in it, and the only way to get around that is by using Crypto. How many tech illiterate boomers do you think are going to know how to use both Crypto and a VPN? All of Trump's support there is coming from techbro whales or people in other countries. Infact, I think the number was that about a whopping 30% of all bets made on the side of Trump were sourced back to this one French Billionaire.
That being said, it's not a predetermined victory. Currently I'd put the odds at anywhere between 60-40 and 70-30 in favor of Kamala, but that still leaves Trump plenty of room.
The moral of the story is that things aren't hopeless! We have a very good shot at winning--as long as we all keep pushing like hell!
Oh also, if they try another Jan 6th, reminder that Biden is now the one in control of the military and national guard at the capital. Lol, Lmao, even.

Dress to Impress Headcanons Pt. 1 - for WinBre Week!
ᯠwhat's it like to play the roblox game dress to impress with the Wind Breaker characters? ᯠcharacters; sakura haruka, suo hayato, nirei akihiko, sugishita kyotaro, umemiya hajime, hiragi toma (more characs in the next part hopefully) ᯠtags; crack, some profanity lol, gn reader, no y/n, can be platonic/romantic
[đ]: for day 8 - side missions prompt! (because dti is a side mission) @windbreakerweek
Sakura Haruka
"How the fuck do I win..."
It will take forever to convince him to play because apparently 'there is no way he's playing dress-up that's made for children' but will fold as soon as you tell him he's just saying that because he hates you.
He keeps forgetting where certain items are and keeps going in circles around the place. That's why he thinks 5 minutes isn't enough.
"Where the fuck are the heels with the pretty pink bows? Man." / "You're going in circles, y'know?" / "Not my fault this shit's a maze."
Pretty standard outfits. Like they're not terrible, but they're not impressive enough to get 4 or 5 stars.
He's more of a simplicity-is-beauty type of guy so that also reflects in the kind of outfits that he makes. But the kids in the server are not having it.
"What does 'ate and served' mean?"
SO SALTY WHEN HE LOSES. But he'll brush it off and pretend that he's cool about it because he is not about to let anyone know he cares about some stupid dress-up game.
Suo Hayato
"Oh, look. I got first place again~"
He was easier to convince. But only if you knew how good he'd be, you wouldn't have asked him to play with you. Why? 'Cuz your morale is plummeting by the second.
He doesn't even need to try. Suo just lets his natural sense of style bleed into the way he plays the game AND HE WINS. He's pretty and so are his outfits.
Suo knows that it's mostly kids playing the game. So when he figures out there are younger people on the server, he'll rate them pretty high to put a smile on their face. (HE'S SO SWEET).
"Suo... it didn't even follow the theme." / "But it's quite nice, don't you think?"
You notice that you rank faster when you duo with him. You've been exploiting this little feature.
"We make a pretty good team, don't we?" / "Huh? Oh, yeah. Haha totally..."
Nirei Akihiko
"OH, this one's good... No, but this one's really good too..."
Nirei is everyone's hypeman: yours, the fashion mavens', the ten year olds who can't follow the themeâliterally everyone.
He actually gets better so quickly by observing the outfits of those who win a lot. Like dude is analyzing a whole ass Roblox game. Not that it's intentionalâmore like it's in his nature.
He falls deep into the DTI rabbit hole. You know because he eagerly waits for updates and hunts for codes on the internet.
"Heyyyy, guess who learned a new code hm?"
His face lights up when you ask him to play... as if he doesn't ask you to play every chance he gets already...
DTI actually becomes his door leading to his descent into the world of Roblox. Seriously, he starts playing more Roblox because you started him with DTI. He also starts asking the other Furin guys to play too.
"Guys, let's do an obby next." / "A what?" / "An obby." / "Again, A WHAT?"
Sugishita Kyotaro
"... I swear I can do better than this..."
This man... this man was even harder to convince compared to Sakura. In fact, you almost gave up. Soooo... you convinced Ume instead (which was easier) and in turn, that forced Sugishita to try it out.
Didn't even ask how it works. He's just reading the text that pops up and goes with the flow.
I'm sorry but... he has the blandest style out of everyone in the main Furin group. Like, he doesn't even try to win AT ALL. But, y'know, A for effort!
"Oh... I have to vote for them?" / "Well, yeah... actually no, just give me 5 stars, okay?"
He plays DTI for a grand total of 3 times, all of which were because Ume asked him to play with the rest of the guys.
He's not much of a gamer to begin with... really, he'd much rather watch you play DTI and see your dramatic reactions to whatever's happening.
Umemiya Hajime
"HAHAHA What's with these silly poses?"
It's like a switch flips in him when he boots up the game and the DTI background song starts playing. He looks waaaaay too happy playing it.
He only started playing because all the hype surrounding it. Ume just wants to be part of the conversation and that's why he tried it out.
Talks way too much in the chat. Usually people just use it to provide more context for their outfits, but Ume actually makes conversation with players there. It's pretty funny to see.
"Look. So many people added me." / "Huh... well ain't that a surprise..."
He almost threw the Ipad out of excitement when he saw that the theme was gardening. He said he had to win or he'd literally die.
A pose 28 spammer, obviously.
"Aw, my game started lagging." / "It's 'cuz you keep spamming poses too fast." / "Dang it."
Hiragi Toma
"I'm not that good at it... okay, maybe just a bit."
He's an old man so bear with him when he tells you that he doesn't even know what a 'Roblox' is. He thought it was a vape flavor by the way.
"So... I have to dress-up and make people vote highly for me?" / "Yeah, it's called Dress to Impress for a reason." / "Oh, yeah. Fair."
He barely tries, but somehow he's kinda good at it? He's not insanely amazing at putting together outfits... but for a guy who's not trying that hardâhe's doing pretty well for himself.
But he'll be too embarrassed to admit it. Hiragi would click his tongue and tell you to knock it off once you start complimenting his DTI skills.
He's a bit lost with the Gen Z/Gen Alpha terms, but he's trying to learnâslowly but surely like a little baby lamb learning how to walk.
Will rate you 5 stars no matter what. Everyone else is getting 1 star. Hiragi doesn't care.
"I didn't know you could hit poses here?" / "Yeah, look at this one." / "What the fuck kinda pose is that? Who's doing that on the runway? Bffr." / "Did you justâ" / "Told you I'm learning things."

Cosmere Characters as Teachers
As requested by @little-cute-pink-horrible-being :)
If Cosmere characters were teachers, what would they teach & what would it be like?
1. Jasnah: History teacher
Let's just say that she has, uh, high expectations of her students.
Jasnah: Anyone can memorize facts and dates. Jasnah: You all will do that, of course, but you will also learn to draw conclusions from those facts, track historical trends, and maybe, if you work hard, you can come up with a theory of your very own. Bravest student: Uh, miss? We are seven. Jasnah: I do not tolerate excuses.
2. Hammond: Philosophy Professor
He has a hardcore group of students who are huge fans of his.
Student 1: Hey, you're in Professor Hammond's class? Student 2: Yeah. Student 1: Isn't he the guy who wrote that book So What if the Poor are Genetically Destined to be Poor? Revolution is Still the Answer? Student 2: That's him. Student 1: And that's why your an anarchist now, huh? Student 2: Listen, he's pretty persuasive.
3. Elend: Political Science Professor
Elend, a Political Science professor at a university, is the sort of teacher who assigns a LOT of reading.
Elend: Remember: politics is for people. Even when the people you serve suck. A lot. Student: You...sound like you're talking from experience? Elend: You have no idea.
4. Shallan: Art Professor
She mainly teaches drawing and painting classes.
Shallan: You all need to decide what your art means to you. Shallan: Whether it be capturing a moment or representing a person's essence or seeing into realms not normally discernable to human eyes--as long as it's art from your soul, it will be right. Student: What, uh, was that last part? Shallan: Art should be from your soul? Student: N-No, the part before that? Shallan: Anyway, everyone start drawing!
5. Painter: Also an Art Professor
I mean, it's literally his name.
Painter: The key to art is repetition. Painter: When a Nightmare is staring down at you, you don't want to be hesitating over what to draw! Student: Professor Nikaro, please, we've been drawing bamboo for a week! Painter: ...I'm not sure what the issue is?
6. Sigzil: Science teacher
Sigzil is one of those general science teachers you get in middle school.
Sigzil: Remember: the key to science is...? Students, as a chorus: Writing things down! Sigzil: That's right! Sigzil: Now let's see what's the heaviest thing we can stick to the wall using glue--last year we managed to stick me to the wall for a couple seconds! Students: [cheering] Sigzil: ...I'm better at this than I would have expected.
7. Wayne: Theater Teacher
Wayne teaches theatre at a high school.
Wayne: Acting is all about not acting. Wayne: You gotta just be the person. Wayne: Understand their past, embody their present... Student: ...wear their hat? Wayne: Exactly!
8. Kaladin: Also a Theatre Teacher
Look me in the eyes and tell me that Kaladin doesn't understand drama.
Kaladin: [talking to an school administrator off to the side while the class watches] And you can tell the school board that the next time they want to cut funding to the arts, I will be there. Kaladin: I will be there at every meeting where even a word of funding reduction is breathed. Kaladin: I will haunt those meetings, carrying pictures of my kids doing their plays and being happy. Kaladin: And I will make them look me in the eyes if they dare to vote to take that away! New student, hesitantly: Performance art? Student: Nah, he always talks that way.
9. Sarene: English teacher
If only because I don't think they have dedicated fencing professors at most places.
Sarene: English is not simply about reading books--it is about learning to think and interpret information. Sarene: You can take the skills you learn in this class and apply them very widely: to understand the news, to read between the lines of what a person says to you, to craft effective rhetoric to get your own way. Sarene: Read everything. Sarene: Remember: you cannot defeat an enemy unless you understand your enemy. Student: ...enemy? Sarene: Don't worry: you'll have enemies when you're older. Student: Yay?
10. Navani: Engineering
Navani would be an engineering professor at a college.
Navani: Your job, students, is to get this ball through that window high up on the wall. You can do it any way you want. Student: I'm immediately seeing: trebuchet. Navani [nodding sagely]: Go with your heart.
11. Pattern: Math teacher
...Listen, I'm not saying he's a good math teacher.
Student: [staring gloomily at their test] Friend: That bad, huh? Student: Mr. Pattern wrote "Mmmm delicious lies" all over it! Friend: So...you failed? Student: Yeah...
12. Raboniel: Chemistry Teacher
She may seem strict, but she actually quite likes kids.
Raboniel: ...And that, students, is how you build a very effective chemical bomb. Students: ... Raboniel: Any questions? Bravest student: Uh, miss? We are seven. Raboniel: So...basically adults, right? Wait, how fast do humans age again? Teacher's aide: [whispering frantically] Raboniel: ...I may have made an error.

Biden and Harris shot themselves on the foot but sure the 500k people who voted Stein are to blame
Many things to work on here.
1. Stein is not the only 3rd party candidate.
All together, this amounts to 2,097,242 votes
2 million votes that were wasted on candidates that everybody knew wouldn't win. When we say every vote counts, this is why. They ADD UP. These numbers can change the course of an election, and they were tossed aside.
2. I never said 3rd party voters are the only ones at fault. If you chose not to vote, you are as much to blame as Trump supporters. Non-voters also make up an enormous number of people. Those kinds of numbers can change the course of an election, and they were discarded by people who chose to remain ignorant, uneducated, and uninvolved.
3. I assume you are the same person who sent me an anon message that says "genocide is bad" and YES. That's exactly what I said. Trump has been very clear about his plans for Gaza. He will not help them. He will continue to fund the IDF and support Isreal. He will help Putin invade even more European countries, and in doing so, he will fund the murders of hundreds of thousands of innocent people. I understand that Kamala Harris has contributed to the horrid deaths in Gaza, but the chances of getting a ceasefire/stopping support of Isreal were much better under her than Trump. If you seriously believe that voting 3rd party is going to help the people of Gaza, you are just as ignorant and uneducated as those who support the genocide.
4. Even with the genocides going on, the president's biggest loyalty should still be to the people of THIS country. They should be fighting for the rights, liberties, and happiness of the American people. Out of every candidate on the ballot, Harris has shown that she is loyal to America. She had worked in all 3 branches of the government, she has worked her way up and worked hard to get to where she is. She understands the struggles the average American faces. Trump is loyal to his own pocket, and that's it. He makes decisions not based on good values, but on how much money he's set to make. He is greedy in his professional and personal life. He takes from people over and over again, whether it's by taking their money, their trust, or their bodies. He grew up rich and stayed that way by running back to the comfort of his father so he can take more from him. He ran his business into the ground repeatedly, he ran his marriage into the ground, and he ran this country into the ground. He has no sense of loyalty. Not to his family, not to this country, and not to our people. He is loyal to himself and his wallet, and that's it. To see all of this evidence, these testaments to their character, these reflections of their values and morals, and still decide to use your vote for a candidate that you know will not be able to win even one state, even one county, shows where your loyalties lie. It is a testament to your character and a testament to your values. If you vote 3rd party, you do not value the people of this country. You want to be able to say you voted, to let people think that you used your power and your voice, while allowing your voice to be silenced. You want the praise from voting, but refuse to help. When you vote 3rd party, you prove your loyalties lie only to yourself, not to your community, and not to others. You are thinking only of your conscience, despite the fact that your poor choices will lead to thousands of deaths. You do it so you feel better when you lose, instead of fighting to win. Nobody will never agree with everything a candidate believes in, but elections are not for you to elect someone just like you, they are to elect someone who will lead the country with its people in mind, with loyalties to their people. If you vote 3rd party, you have failed at your role in this election.

Do you think part of what makes people feel like voting isnât worth it because things donât get better under democrats is because we canât see what would have happened? Like I see a lot of people saying âwell biden hasnât made america much better so thereâs no pointâ but itâs like they donât understand that under a republican they would actively do everything they could to cause more harm. Itâs like they donât understand that 1. The president canât do much, and 2. IT WOULD BE WORSE. like they donât understand the possibilities. Idk people just frustrate me
I'm sorry, as I know you're just relaying what these people think and not claiming so yourself, but the whole "things don't get better under Biden/Democrats" line to which we are subjected so very, miserably often is a lie!!! It is demonstrably a lie! It is peddled by people who deliberately live in their echo-chamber leftist misinformation bubbles and either don't read the news, don't accept anything less than the Magical Socialist Revolution Now, and don't think partial or incremental progress (aka the only kind of progress that exists) is valid. "Biden hasn't single-handedly fixed everything wrong with America and the world after the most damaging presidency ever to exist and 250+ years of flaws, while other countries actually are their own actors with agency making complex choices, so we shouldn't vote for him" is a bullshit lie and I'm tired of it!!!
(Again. Sorry. This is not directed at you. This is just my frustration with this entire ridiculous situation speaking.)
We have had multiple elections now where people voted for Democrats, which resulted in abortion protections, protections for LGBTQ people, the biggest climate legislation ever to pass Congress/be signed into law (the Inflation Reduction Act), vast improvements in the job market, executive actions both large and small, improvements in labor and the economy, a general democratic system, a defense of the rule of law, a warning against fascism, and everything else that Trump trampled on in 4 years and will finish the job of doing if this godforsaken country is either right-wing-zealot or left-wing-zealot enough to put him back into office. (Like, people. Google is free. You're welcome to look up the improvements Biden has actually made, but that would harm your Narrative.) So much of this misinformation is also peddled by people who are proud that they don't have a clue how the American government works and/or deliberately lie about it: see all the claims that it was Biden's fault for not magically stopping a Trump-stacked SCOTUS, selected for the express purpose of overturning Roe, from overturning Roe. Because the president could just unilaterally overturn the Supreme Court with no problems at all if He Really Wanted To, I guess. Even if that is literally not the way it has ever functioned in history.
All the noxious Republicans in state legislatures passing anti-trans/anti-abortion/anti-voting laws ARE NOT SOMETHING BIDEN CAN STOP. If you're going to criticize him for not doing something, for God's sake at least make it for something he can do (like not calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, though I would argue he's already taking a more nuanced approach than the entirety of the American establishment during the War on Terror). And then vote for him when/if he follows it up, not just throw your hands in the air and scream about how you Can't Possibly Sully Yourself (especially when there is some very selective support going on here and a deliberate white-washing of how many orders of magnitude worse absolutely everything else in America and the world would be under Trump. So.)
I'm tired of it. I'm really, really tired of it. I've been trying to cut back on my politics posting because my mental health is bad right now and I often feel like a broken record screaming into the void. But. Yeah. Anyway. Whoof.

The more often I rewatch Season 1, the more it becomes obvious how Klaus is the Mascot of the family, the family member who diffuses tension with humor. But he also fits the criteria for the avoidant personality type.
Here's my analysis on this:
1.Sensitive to Rejection
People with an avoidant personality try to steer clear of rejection or criticism, because it leaves them emotionally vulnerable. We can see this very well with Klaus. To name a few examples: When Allison points out the rehab wrist band in the first episode of the show, he says âOh, no, Iâm done with all that.â He tries to deny it. We can see this exact same behavior later when he tries to talk himself out of conjuring Reginald. Allison is the one to interrupt, asking if heâs high. When everyone just looks annoyed at that, he springs up, defending himself âHow are you not?â.
He knows his addiction is disapproved of by the family, that it will earn him a lecture. In the show we can see this when he tells Luther âSave the lectureâ when he leaves Reginaldâs office. And when he tries to conjure Reginald, he also says âbig angry ghost lecture.â When he smokes in the living room, Luther says âYou know dad didn't allow smoking in here.â All of this showcases how he is used to criticism and also his ways in avoiding it.
So, how does he handle actual rejection? Letâs have a look at his and Diegoâs dynamic. We have seen multiple times how Diego is on his way to leave, when Klaus says âIâll come with you.â And even though Diego says no, Klaus doesn't treat it seriously, knowing Diego wonât kick him out. They're siblings.
But later, when he is in the van with Luther and Five, he DOES get kicked out by them. And he MENTIONS this later when they vote on turning off Mom. The reason he is on Diegoâs side, at least from what he is saying, is because heâs mad at Luther. âIâm with Diego, because screw you!â And âGet out of the van, Klaus. Well, welcome back to the van, Klaus!â While it is a funny scene, it is proof that rejection sticks with him.
2. Difficulty in creating meaningful relationships
There is a lot of evidence for this one. His prior relationships all seem to have been surface level. He can't remember how he lost his virginity. The longest relationship he had prior to Dave lasted three weeks and even that was only because he was tired of searching for a place to sleep. When he is grieving over Dave with Diego in the car he says that he lost the only person he loved more than himself (Which is not actually the case, there are a lot of points that could disprove that line, but Klaus feels this way and that's whatâs important).
Dave was the first push towards his healing journey. He values him so highly, even after years. He places Daveâs well-being over his own with him trying to stop Dave from enlisting into the military in S2, even if it means theyâll never meet. And it is Dave who goes into the kiss.
3. Running away
The stereotypical avoidant character is gruff, pessimistic and oftentimes nihilistic. But Klaus uses humor as a mask. He seems like a flirt, extroverted, light and funny and while this isnât necessarily false or all a lie, it is still an exaggeration. This is a good example of him being the Mascot of the family.
It is when they are stressed it really shines through. Itâs when Dave dies, he decides to go back to 2019. He almost gave up on finding Luther if Ben hadn't said anything.
The drugs are a way to run away from the past, from the pain, from himself, to make everything go numb.
And while heâs not really nihilistic, he can be a bit, for the lack of a better word, pessimistic. He believes that the future can only be bad, evidenced by Five coming back and saying â[The future] is shit, by the wayâ to which he responds with âCalled it!â.
He also dislikes the whole notion of âeternal peaceâ, saying itâs overrated when he tries to summon Reginald and in S3 saying so to his birth mother in the afterlife.
Also, the whole cult storyline.
4. Conflict Avoidant
While he does cheer on Diego and Luther during their fight at Reginald's funeral, this fight does not involve him. In all other cases, it is really clear once you notice it.
Him being the Mascot of the family already makes this obvious. The tone gets heated? An argument may arise? Throw in a quick joke, draw the attention towards himself. For example, when Luther says how they should bury Reginald by the oak tree because he spent time there sometimes and he says âNone of you ever did that?â, the others gave him strange looks. Klaus immediately says something completely unrelated âWill there be any refreshments?â.
He is the only one to suggest âI vote for running!â when the portal through which Five falls through appears.
5. Not sharing problems
He rarely ever shares the trauma he goes through and if ever, he downplays it. This is seen when he comes back from Vietnam and Five points it out, he deflects and says âlong nightâ. He does not say where to, when he answers Fiveâs questions it is followed with something funny like when he asks for how long âalmost a year. [...] which means Iâm 10 months older.â Or when he finds out heâs immortal, he says it in a way easily mistaken for a joke and then never brings it up again.
Even when he is vulnerable he shares minimal information. Like when he had a breakdown at the VFW, he tells Diego that he âlost someoneâ but does not expand. The most open he was was during The Day That Wasn't. Here he talks about Dave, what he was like, that Klaus followed him to the front lines. And Diego doesn't pester him with a lot of questions, which is important here. Klaus is in his thoughts and shares this willingly. It is such a good step towards healing, because talking about stuff actually can help.
6. Fear of failure/low self-worth
Here you have to look past the surface. Because sure, Klaus says Dave was the only person he loved more than himself, but other scenes say otherwise.
He does not believe it at first that Viktor is capable of destroying the earth, he argues that heâs their brother and they shouldn't just lock him away, theyâre family. They can just ask him! When in S2 Viktor leaves for Sissy, he is the first to join him. He goes after Diego when Diego almost gets killed by Hazel and Cha-Cha, despite Diego having told him to stay in the car.
He is extremely sympathetic towards Luther when he finds out that Reginald didn't care, even though the rest figured that out so long ago. He tries to stop Luther from taking drugs, he goes after him even after Luther hurts him, doesn't even hesitate. He seems really affectionate with Allison, giving her hugs, letting her play with his hair, coming to her in S2 when he feels lost.
He tries to comfort Five in his own way when trying to find out who the owner of the glass eye is didn't work. He feels obvious guilt because he thinks heâs the reason why Ben can't move on.
So yeah, Iâm calling bullshit on that âonly person he loved more than himself.â
Then there's his âYeah, me neitherâ line in response to God saying âI don't really like you all that much.â
Ben is the one who gives him support and says that he can do better, that he is better than what he thinks. (And that Dave knew it too). Because Klaus can't tell this to himself, another point in his low opinion of himself.
He calls his own powers âpretty much uselessâ and is very surprised to hear when Reginald told him he never reached his full potential. What potential? He can do more?
When he is appointed look-out for the Apocalypse Concert/The S1 Finale, he looks disappointed, like he isn't doing enough. He was always the look out when they were kids. And he clearly wants to do more, that's why he tried to make Ben corporeal at the bowling alley, to prove that he can.
He has struggles with becoming and staying clean. He is constantly judged for it, yet doesn't receive any support in return from his living siblings so his answer? More drugs.
After Vietnam, he almost relapses and the reason he gives is that sobriety didn't improve anything, everythingâs still the same, still nobody takes him seriously. If everyone sees you as a failure? Why bother being anything else? And after a long enough time, it is hard not to internalize that.
His fear of failure is tightly knit to his fear of rejection.
Even when he finds out about making ghosts corporeal, he doesn't train his powers, doesn't try to do more, doesn't try to advance despite having the knowledge that his powers could allow more.
Itâs the classic âCan't fail if you don't tryâ.
And itâs really stemming from being Reginaldâs âgreatest disappointmentâ. Because that is absolutely not the first time he told Klaus this.
With kids, if your expectations are too high and they can't meet them, often you need to lower the bar, instead of raising it.
Reginald kept throwing him into a mausoleum, expecting a certain result, then got angry when he got the exact opposite and just continued the punishment, because it IS a punishment by this point. Itâs like âyouâll study three hours a day now and don't you dare fail that next test againâ.
Origins: So, where does this avoidant personality come from? In Klausâs case Iâd assume it comes from emotional neglect. From being let down and not having his needs met. By a father leaving him alone in the dark with the ghosts instead of showing him love.
He wants to be loved, he wants to be trusted, but his early life experiences have given him the opposite.

Gonna be super for real, here is my masterpost of why its important for me that you take advantage of your right to vote to choose Kamala Harris.
Section 1: Personal Issues
I am a transgender person. I live where i'm pretty sure it will be safe to do so for the next 4 years, but not only should i not risk it, i shouldn't be willing to send my trans family into danger, especially the young ones. Republicans are making a big point out of removing the Trans agenda from schools. what the fuck does this mean? right now the target is that teachers, counselors, school faculty who hear a child is trans will be obliged to report it to their home. this is a direct danger to the next generation. If you do not hide who you are, it may be ripped out of you. Children will feel they are better dead than being out. and adults who abuse queer kids will not be held accountable.
I am an autistic and disabled person. Donald Trump and his cronies think vaccines cause autism. this is absurdly hateful, but beyond that they call for pullbacks and regulation for vaccines. For an incredibly safe, incredibly guarded piece of protection against disease, regulation means less access to medicine. More epidemics, more sick people, shorter lives for the disabled.
Section 2: Domestic Issues
the full access to abortion and childcare must be restored. the two are forever linked, and both are essential healthcare. people in my life benefit from this, your neighbors benefit from this, human beings benefit from this.
whoever is in charge has the sole ability to appoint supreme court judges for 4 years. The court can not become further packed against us, whoever you are, because they are not shy about infringing the rights of your neighbors or your family on party lines.
the ability for people to only just get by under a Republican presidency will be gutted. tax cuts for the wealthy are not just immoral, but the government can not operate on less income. The burden comes down on those who deserve it least. Hunger, homelessness, freezing, overheating, death.
voting rights are the target of Republicans, especially for the most reliable opposition: Black and Latino Americans. this is happening now in states desperate to suppress minority voices, or to assimilate them into a regressive white culture of last century. If that isn't bad enough, voter suppression is sure to expand to any dissident population. The future is on the line.
Section 3: Global Issues
Donald Trump uses dog whistles to express israeli support. He calls democrats "Hamas", claims they are "Destroying Israel", calls jewish people delusional for supporting them. There isn't a perfect palestinian candidate. that is all but explicitly banned in politics. Vice president Harris will be clipped out of context saying that she vaguely supports Israel's right to self defense, because that is the most she can say without causing panic and confusion. If elected, Kamala Harris would be the most pro-Palestinian president ever, and it's not any amount of praise to say that. But she seeks solution, the end of Israel's control of them, the acknowledgement that what is happening there is unconscionable. MAGA has trained us to think that a vote to a candidate is a total endorsement of all their actions and word-of-mouth values, but it is the NORMAL and DECENT thing to do to demand better from the person you elect. Donald Trump is in Netanyahu's pocket, you won't get anywhere asking him not to rain terror on Palestine.
Ukraine has a right to self-governance as well. Republicans would pull support, and hold more conferences with Putin than with our allies across the world.
Republicans will refuse investment into clean energy. Trump's last presidency saw a resurgence in Coal, and ramblings about dead birds. Republican control will hold back any responses to the climate disaster another 4 years.
Section 4: Closing Thoughts
A US president can not fix the world. A US president can't even fix their own country. But god damn it don't give in to assured worsening. don't vote for third party; they're not gonna win, they're not gonna win next time, the point you want to make will fall on deaf ears; the time and place is not now or here. don't skip voting, 1/3 of americans don't vote because they don't think their voice makes a difference. vote in every category, there are important issues left to you. You may not turn your state, but you can turn a policy, or your city, or your county, or your representative, or make sure people in your district get a fair trail with a good judge, or that a good person is in charge of your schools. vote like your neighbors life depends on it; it does. vote like the world depends on it; it does. vote like it's the least you can do; it is. You have to participate in this one simple task, flawed as it may be, to not be a hypocrite when you ask for change, when you ask for progress, when you ask for justice. You can elect people who serve you, not who demand you serve them. You can choose to take a step forward, instead of standing still while you're dragged backwards with the rest of us. you can save lives, real lives! you fucking matter, every time, but please for the love of god, do the bare minimum at least this time. And after we're done, we'll go out, and ask for more, ask for better, because government is for us and they need to listen to us, forever, whoever.

the fact that you would defend the israeli government after theyâve murdered 30,000 innocents in the largest bombing campaign in modern history is literally despicable and borderline evil. if a genocide documented ad nauseam cannot make you cognizant of israelâs colonial and deeply racist regime, then literally nothing can and you are beyond reasoning with. actually incredible how multiple history degrees have clearly taught you nothing about how a genocide works â or perhaps more concerningly, they have, and you simply donât care because the victims are palestinian. the fact that you would use those very history degrees to excuse israelâs genocide of palestinians is deeply disturbing and indicative of the rancid hypocrisy within western academia. history will exonerate the indigenous palestinians, and it will be unkind to those like you who defended and cheered on their annihilation.
Itâs so amazing to me that you actually believe this, and that youâve so wholeheartedly swallowed the propaganda Hamas (known for using their own civilians as human shields, known for paying their citizens extra for killing Jews) has been peddling. So I am going to paste here some points others have already made that Iâve saved over the course of information-gathering, though I doubt youâll bother to read or learn, judging from your asinine little comments here.
1) Palestine Gaza is a genocidal nation. The goal of the Palestinian government in Gaza is literally to destroy and commit genocide against Israel and kill every Jew by every means possible. This is literally written in their founding charter. "The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (evidently a certain kind of tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews." There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors. The Palestinian people know better than to consent to having their future, rights and fate toyed with.
2) Palestine is an apartheid nation that has ethnically cleansed 100% of their Jews and stole their territory after 1948. There used to be tens of thousands of Jews living in the areas of Judea and Samaria, which was renamed to the West Bank by Jordan. However they've all been ethnically after the 1948 Arab-Israeli war and 0 Jews are allowed to live in Palestine today. 3) Palestine is an authoritarian dictatorship both in Gaza and the West Bank. Hamas won majority of the votes during an election in 2006, but the Palestinian president simply refused to recognize the results of the election and refused to hand power over to them. This resulted in Hamas siezing power in Gaza, executing hundreds of their political rivals, and they never held another election. Likewise, the leadership in the West Bank also refused to hold any elections and still continue to illegitimately cling to power. Abbas, the president of Palestine had a 4 year term which was supposed to end in 2009. He's still the leader today and has continued to postpone election after election. 4) Palestine supports the outright open murder of innocent civilians. I've already mentioned the charter of the Palestinian government in Gaza above where their goal is to eradicate Israel and genocide Israelis, but the Palestinian government in West Bank is just as horrible. There's the Palestinian Authority Matry Fund where they literally pay a salary / pension to any Palestinians who commmit terrorist attacks against Israelis, be it through stabbings, shootings or suicide bombings, and they've paid out billions so far. The Foundation for the Care of the Families of Martyrs pays monthly cash stipends to the families of Palestinians killed, injured, or imprisoned while carrying out violence against Israel.
5) Palestine is horribly corrupt oligarchy. Palestine receives billions from the USA and Europe in aid every single year. Whatever money isn't spent on paying literal terrorists, or on rockets to shoot at Israel ends up going to corrupt Palestinian leaders. Yasser Arafat, the first Palestinian leader, died a billionaire. Abbas the current President is worth $100 million. The Palestinian leaders in Gaza, Ismail Haniyeh, Moussa Abu Marzuk and Khaled Mashal have an estimated combined wealth of over $10 billion. Meanwhile the combined GDP of Gaza is only about $2.5 billion, meaning these 3 leaders wealth is equal to 4 years of Gaza's GDP. 6) Palestinians have caused wars and instability in every country that they've sought refuge in. In Jordan, Palestinains assasinated the Jordanian king in 1951, then attempted a coup of a the country in 1970. After they failed, they were expelled to Lebanon where they started a civil war with the Christian Maronites. This war lasted 15 years and killed several times more people than the entire Israel-Palestine war (150k died in Lebanon civil war vs 25k in Palestinian-Israeli wars). In Kuwait, the Palestinians supported Saddam as Iraq invaded Kuwait. In Egypt, they've been hit by several bombings by Palestinians. 7) There is no freedom of speech or equality in Palestine Gaza. No equality of sexes, no equality of races, and definitely no queer rights in the entirety of Palestine where you could be killed for the crime of being openly queer. [If you identify as a liberal, there is literally] no reason to support a country where majority of [your] friends would either have severely restricted rights, be treated like objects, or be thrown off a building just for existing.
Let me reiterate: Jews are indigenous to Israel. Jews have existed and lived in what we now call the Israel-Palestine region for thousands of years before the foundation of Islam, and even before the foundation of Christianity. In the game of âwhich Abrahamic religion came first?â Islam ranks dead last.
Israel as an identity as a people has existed for thousands of years and has been recorded as far back as the Iron Age on:
i) The Mesha Stele;
ii) The Tel Dan Stele;
iii) The Kurkh Monoliths; and (potentially)
iv) The Merneptah Stele.
While scholars have argued over the translations on the Merneptah Stele, the general consensus among historians, classicists, archaeologist, etc, is that it refers to the existence of Israel at the very least as a collective identity that existed at the time, and was called Israel.
They were eventually repeatedly forced out by other powers such as the Romans and many others, but that doesnât change the fact that Jews had a continuous existence in Israel before being forced out by what people like you would normally call âcolonising powersâ were it not so contrary to your own ill-supported arguments. It also doesnât change the fact that Jews, and Israel, existed before both Christianity and Islam, and long, long before Palestine.
So if your entire argument boils down to "who was here first" and the ideas of "colonialism" and "anti-colonialism" and "decolonisation", then I am telling you, Jews were there first. You could argue Canaanite groups like Moabites and Ammonites were there too, but Moabites and Ammonites don't exist as a continuous group anymore. No matter how you look at it, you are wrong, so let me parrot your horrible argument right back at you:
The fact that you would defend Hamas, a known organisation whose founding Charter literally calls for the annihilation of Jews, who have systematically purged Jews for years, who launched multiple attacks against innocent Jewish people (the music festival, the babies and the woman and the children slaughtered), the fact that there's a Palestinian Authority Matry Fund where they literally pay a salary / pension to any Palestinians who commit terrorist attacks against Israelis, be it through stabbings, shootings or suicide bombings, and they've paid out billions so far; the fact that you defend the existence of the Foundation for the Care of the Families of Martyrs which pays monthly cash stipends to the families of Palestinians killed, injured, or imprisoned while carrying out violence against Israel, etc... that you would defend this is "literally despicable" and not only outright evil, but ignorant to the nth degree.
If the continuous genocidal nature of Hamas against Israel cannot make you cognizant of Hamas' deeply racist, violence, and terrorist regime (to the point where none of the Muslim countries around them will take Palestinians in; even their fellow Muslim countries want nothing to do with them), then I'm not sure what to tell you. You say I am beyond reasoning, but from where I'm standing, your head is so far up your own ass that I don't even know if you're aware of anything that isn't the smell of your own shit.
It's actually incredible to me how you can ignore what multiple historians and scholars are saying because you want to cling to your idea that Hamas are just a bunch of "poor innocent brown people" who need help from the "evil white Israeli regime". Or perhaps, more "concerningly," that is just it: you hate Israel because you erroneously perceive them as white, and so therefore they must be evil. I don't know, but that is what a lot of anti-Israel sentiment seems to boil down to in the world of people like you.
The fact that you would excuse and ignore Hamas' outright horrific acts and ignore history is deeply disturbing and indicative of the rancid hypocrisy within the west, but particularly within western circles that claim to be "progressive", "liberal", and "leftist."
Hamas has said no to every ceasefire. Hamas has said no to every compromise Israel has offered even before October. If Hamas stops fighting, the war ends. If Israel stops, then Israel is annihilated.
History has already shown that Palestinians are not indigenous if we are playing the "who was there first" game with Israel and Palestine, you're just so ignorant that you will refuse to see the evidence right in front of you. You are the one cheering for the annihilation of an indigenous group, and the one history will frown upon is you.
#antisemitism#Sorry for everyone on my dash who had to read this long reply.#I have sat on this for a month wondering whether to release it. Seriously grappling with everything. But.#Here we go. Will I delete it later? I am not sure. But.#There are too few people willing to speak up on this because they're scared of militant Palestinian supporters.#And truthfully I am scared of them! Militant Palestinian supporters are terrifying and my country has MANY#But this is my line in the sand. I so rarely draw them with political conflicts but this is it for me.#If you support Hamas you are DISGUSTING.#And you cannot divorce the fact that the vast majority of Palestinians have supported and do support Hamas.#People literally cheer for Hamas in the streets here and call for the annihilation of Israel.#Universities defend this shit too (see: the scandal with Penn State and Harvard)#I am so open politically I neither identify as right or left I so rarely truly put my foot down and say#'if you believe this you are disgusting'#But? Yeah.#And maybe I will have a mas exodus of followers now but whatever.#ancient Israel

For the women and people with a uterus of the USA: You need to make your plan now. Obviously you need to think about getting your birth control sorted right now. Even if you plan to never have sex, because we know why we always would choose the bear. Birth control pills, implants, IUD, tubal ligation, whatever, just make sure it's in your control, because men can not be trusted with it. Stock up on Plan B now, it apparently has a shelf life of about 4 years. Personally I think it doesn't matter which shelf that is, no matter what your government after January might think about it. Check out PlanC.org for at home abortion information and access to medication per mail, as long as that is possible. Delete all digital traces of your period. Apps (first delete the data within before deleting the app itself), texts, posts, anything from which someone could make a guess as to the status of your uterus. Don't tell doctors either. There normally is no reason for a doctor to know the exact timing of your cycle. Just tell them that you have your period and that it's regular/irregular, but never exact dates. Do so, even if you're in a blue state or plan to move there. You never know how long those protections might last.
Don't get pregnant. Even if you want to have children. 1 in every 3 pregnancies end in a miscarriage. Which is a spontaneous abortion. You might get prosecuted for something sad, but natural. Additionally you might not receive care for other conditions while pregnant, because doctors have real concerns of being prosecuted themselves if that might lead to pregnancy loss.
If your significant other voted for Trump, leave him. Now. Especially if you're married. No matter how much you love him, no matter how much you think you can change him, he does not care about you. Because if he cared about women at all outside of a warm body to sink his dick in and to clean his house, he would not have voted for someone who is a rapist, who will try to strip you of all of your rights. No fault divorce might be the first thing of those to go. In that vein, save as much money as possible that only you can access. Financial dependence is the reason most of our grandmothers were unable to leave, don't make the same mistake.
If you're single, stay that way. Don't date. Don't have casual hook-ups. Men will lie and tell you they were voting for Harris, to get what they want. They have already started on the well-known apps. Cut them out. 4B movement all the way.
But that not only means those men. That also means your father, mother, sister, brother, friend, colleague, etc. who voted against your interests. Let them reap what they sowed. You don't owe them. But of course your safety is paramount.
Get something for your personal protection. I would rather you not buying a gun, because in doubt it would be more trouble than help. But mace, knives, self-defense courses are better than nothing. A roll of coins in a sock, whatever you feel comfortable with.
Get your documents sorted and ready to go. Have a passport.
For every step Trump's government will take, make a plan in advance. How to get your money, how to leave your home/the town when it gets dangerous, who you trust with information, with your power of attorney. Find groups and organizations to find and build community with. Heck, even unionizing at work might give you an edge. Get a VPN, which is from a country that is not part of the "14 eyes". Use Signal to communicate. As mothers and/or as birthing parent you need to educate the children in all those things the MAGAs want to erase from the public conscience. Ideas of equality for all, of feminism, of anti-fascism, even just readings of the bible as it is, are dangerous to their christo-fascist ideology and thus to their power base. To that end, get those books as soon as possible. So far it's only MAGA cleaning out public libraries, but you'll never know. Facts are their worst enemy. Raise your sons right! Because something has been really fucked with that for way too long.
Hopefully it won't all come down to the worst, but better be prepared and not need it, than the other way around.

Thinking about US politics.
Thought 1: Neoliberal capitalist-democracy is failing.
The contradictions between the egalitarian rhetoric of democracy and the hierarchical structure of capitalismânot to mention liberal egalitarian rhetoric in general and the various bigotries which we have yet to fully extinguishâare becoming more obvious every year.
On top of that, something is causing problems. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer; the droughts get drier, the storms get stormier. Some people try to deny some of these problems, but on the whole, everyone can tell Something Is Wrong.
The only questions are what and why.
Thought 2: The Democrats remain the party of neoliberal capitalist-democracy.
They support egalitarian democracy and hierarchical capitalism simultaneously. They repeat liberal egalitarian rhetoric while...let's say they have a mixed history with the various bigotries that contradict that rhetoric. Some actively uphold systemic inequality, some fight against it. Most just try not to rock the boat.
As long as the status quo is fine for most people, maintaining the status quo is at least defensible, contradictions and all. But when the status quo isn't fine, people want Change.
And the Democrats used to promise change, change we could believe in. That change amounted to little more than an attempt to reconcile the fundamental contradictions in neoliberal capitalist-democracy. They stopped promising change a while ago, thanks to a certain someone...
Thought 3: Trump promises a solution to the world's problems.
It's not a solution that I, personally, think would work. Nor do I think his diagnosis of the problems is accurate. But Trump agrees that something is causing problems and says he'll solve them.
That's appealing. Well, I don't find it appealing, but that's because I recognize that he's tilting at windmills at great cost. If I thought it might work, it would be appealing. And there are a lot of people predisposed to believing that cruelty to foreigners and minorities and "degenerates" can solve problems.
Thought 4: The Democrats are trying to rely on being better than Trump.
Pretty straightforward. Ever since 2016, the Democrats have run not on "Change!", but on "Stop MAGA from changing stuff". This isn't true of all individual Democratic political candidates, but it's how the party as a whole markets itself and a core component of both Biden's 2020 platform and Harris's 2024 platform.
To be fair, it's a pretty compelling platform. To anyone who doesn't see Trump as the solution, it's not hard to be less bad than Trump, and avoiding Trump's reign of terror is a pretty high priority for a lot of people. In theory, the Democrats could top the polls. However...
Thought 5: No one wants to vote for the status quo!
I think this is a big part of why the Democrats struggle in elections, even when they lead in the polls. Yeah, the Republicans not promoting candidates people would be sexist or racist to definitely helps win over the sexists and racists, but also the Republicans have a platform.
Racists and sexists don't just vote for Trump because he's a white dude; they vote for him because he's a white dude who promises to make racism and sexism more mainstream! He promises to make active changes to the USA that make it more like what racists and sexists want.
The Democrats are kinda all over the place, if I'm being honest. You can't make many statements about their politics that aren't either contradicted by at least one prominent Democrat or unhelpfully-vague. They range from "mostly less extreme than MAGA" to "as radical as you can get without alienating too many wealthy donors". But the median Democrat is usually the one who gets promoted, so the party focuses on the party line of "no big changes".
But that's not popular, because as previously noted, neoliberal capitalist-democracy is failing, and the world needs big changes. "No big changes" makes you sound more appealing than the Leopards Eating People's Faces Party. That affects which party you choose on a survey, but it doesn't do much to energize you. And you need to get energized to leave the house and vote.
Thought 5b: There's more on people's minds than Trump/Harris comparisons
This is tangential to what passes for a thesis on this post, but voters don't just care about the kinds of issues the Democrats are marginally better about.
If the Democrats are slightly better than the Republicans on (for instance) not being racist, POC might slightly prefer Democratic candidates for that reason, but it wouldn't be hard for that slight preference to be outweighed by other considerations. Backlash against an incumbent for bad economy, say, or an unclear platform on other issues, or a friend who really likes Trump for some reason.
Thought 6: Do the Democrats even care about winning?
Prominent Democratic politicians tend to be old cishet white men, upper-middle to upper-class. They're more likely to elevate young/queer/POC/woman politicians than the Republicans, but they still tend to be privileged. If Trump enacts a twenty-year reign of terror against social minorities, most of them will be mostly fine.
In fact, depending on which things Trump and his buddies manage to enact, their lives might be better. Trump wants to empower rich cishet white men at the expense of people who are POC, queer, poor, or female. Most of the problems Trump makes are not problems for the kind of person who usually gets elected to Congress. They will feel bad if Trump outlaws trans people or whatever, but doing something about it might cost their privilege, which would also feel bad.
Besides, Trump's existence and continued success makes campaign season a breeze. You don't need to manage the diverse needs and opinions of your coalition if all of them are terrified of the Leopards Eating People's Faces party! You can just point to the leopards and say "I won't tell them to eat your face". You don't even have to try very hard to restrain the leopardsâas long as you egg them on less than Trump, you look like the better choice for anyone afraid of leopards.

âïžReality TVâs Stupidest Allianceâïž - Total Drama Viewer Reacts to Disventure Camp Season 1 Episode 2 âLogged & Loadedâ
What am I predicting for eliminations?
Uh⊠how many people are here? 14?
So Iâd say⊠7 mergers?
Pre-Merge boots Iâm guessing⊠I said Alec last post cause of Fiore. And I said Lilly cause sheâs good at the game so theyâd want to get rid of her. So⊠othersâŠ?
Will, Drew (forgot him in the last post), Dan, and Grett. I can see Grett being a Pre-Merge villain and getting booted right before the merge.
And⊠one more⊠I guess Miriam. Idk why, but if I had to choose out of the ones left.
I think the alliance of 4 is gonna lose half its members. I see Nick getting character development. I see Fiore being an antagonist. And Ashley⊠sheâs nice. I just like her and hope she goes far. Jake & Tom have a thing going on that the opening spoiled so theyâre both merging. Then Gabby is being set up for character development as well.
I forgot Ellie. I forgot she was on the purple team⊠sheâs gonna be the teams swing vote, isnât she? That sucks.
This is what the dynamic between her and Gabby are alluding to? Theyâre both on opposite teams but they both have major setbacks and disadvantages to their game. Gabby cause no one likes her and sheâs allied with Grett, and Ellie cause sheâs stuck in the middle of her team and will be screwed if she doesnât play⊠less than pure, I guess. But they become besties and it trumps those issues.
Thatâs what Iâm predicting anyway.
So⊠letâs start this episode.
I got the SAME AD AGAIN. WTF?!
"Is that recycled paper?"
How does he write that fast? That's impressive. Gimme that skill.
"I want to talk to her but she scares me a little."
What did she do to you?
"She reminds me a little of my grandmother. How she walks, how she talks... I miss her."
"She's been sick for months and she can't have visitors."
Oh my god...
Is that why he's competing? Medical bills to help her?
Well geez, keep that up and I might actually root for you to win.
"Yeah, she was often cranky, but she was the only one that really understood me."
You on the spectrum?
"Jake... I don't know what to say, but if you need to talk to someone, I'm always here."
D'aaaaawwww đ
That face.
He was eyeing Tom all of last episode too and I just didn't bring it up.
YOU ARE NOT SUBTLE, SIR
So we have how many characters with motives and reasons to be here now? Fiore got dumped by her parents, Nick wants to prove himself, Jake wants to help his grandma.
I'm really liking that they're giving these characters REASONS to be on the show and why they want to win.
Cause in Total Drama we don't get a lot of their backgrounds outside of the game, and only a handful explained their motives for winning. I think of Gen 1 the only one that really had a motive aside from 'I want to be rich' is Alejandro.
I like what they're doing here.
"If our team fails, you'd be the one to blame."
Pretty sure that's not how that works.
Mostly it's a social challenge. If they think you're the one at fault for the loss, just say "Whoa whoa whoa! You don't want to vote me! You want to vote that guy!"
I obviously would suck at Survival.
So... actually I like Grett's game move here. Be on good terms with the leader, and... do what I said basically.
"WHOA WHOA GUYS! You don't want to vote Tom! Let's vote that glasses guy instead! That's a much better game move! TRUST ME."
Oh these two...
They're like "Oh shit. We're the outliers here, aren't we?"
"What makes you think you'll get far? Have you seen how fast the others are getting close to each other?"
"I've noticed. That's a problem."
Oh they're actually addressing it. Cool. They're not stupid.
"You're not going to walk thirty minutes over there."
"Sure I can. I love to walk."
She just like me fr
"That fat girl made you look stupid."
Huh?
...what???
"I love your coat my the way! I own a similar one!"
Do you have a split personality?! WHAT IS HAPPENING?!
She was talking to herself...
And it was such a massive fourth wall break that it gave me an ad on body spray. XD
"Today's reward will be a complete fishing kit. That will make it easier to find food."
I guess... but you can also make cages or nets to catch fish. I know that's something that's possible.
There's not any wildlife they're killing, is there?
"An immunity totem has been hidden somewhere in the forest."
OH. ALREADY?!?!
We got an idol in play!
I wish Total Drama used Immunity Idols more. It's such a cool game mechanic in Survivor. (At least, in the clips I've seen of people playing them)
Yeah I know the Reboot did in Season 2. We don't talk about that.
"That totem could save me from the unfavorable position I find myself in."
Yes. Yes it would.
Actually, no, let me predict for a sec. Either him or Ellie find that idol, and they save themselves with it, causing a member from the 4 alliance to get the boot. And that's how that alliance breaks.
I mean, you're not gonna get them any other way I feel.
Awwww, look at Ashley carrying the demon child. đ
"I heard how Grett spoke to you. You shouldn't let her talk to you like that."
Boy, I agree with you and I get you're nice. Grett is in hearing range and WILL gun for you.
My case and my point. Grett gunned you.
Cause it looks to me like otherwise, you tripped on NOTHING.
"I'm really curious what you look like without it."
...
EXCUSE ME?!?! O_O
BOY. YOU JUST MET.
"I'm a little scared to have to slide down from up here."
Oh for the love of drama-
Pull a Leshawna. THROW HIM OFF.
"Ellie, Alec, you go on that one. Nick, Ashley, and I can take the next one."
*does the math*
Hey wait so you're gonna leave him with the child after he JUST confessed to being scared?!
Listen to your alliance teammates! You're in hearing range, right?!
Why can't Lilly go with Fiore? Wouldn't that make more sense cause she's the one cutting?
OOOOOOOOOHHHHHH.
Grett's gonna steal that from Gabby, isn't she?
But either way, Gabby's immune, LET'S GO!
"By the way, have you started streaming the episodes yet?"
YOU THINK YOU'RE SOOOOOOO SMUG, HUH?!?! I SEE YOU.
"Remember to cut any scenes I'm in."
*Stares intensely at him*
...okay.
"What if we fall?!"
That's kinda the point.
IT'S A HILL.
*chokes on breath*
YOU GO KID. BITCH SLAP HIM.
A six year old is bitch slapping a grown man, this is not a drill.
"What was that?"
I mean, let's be honest... she just said facts.
Yeah the slap was wrong, but it's not as bad as it could've been. She just told the truth.
"You're costing us this challenge and everyone will know it."
Yes but he has something you don't. NUMBERS.
Well your point just went down the drain, cause that's YOUR fault.
WHY DIDN'T YOU GRAB TWO?!?!
The 'yay' card, aww that's so cute... đ
"She does have a point, yeah? She's got the flags and Will's got no."
Okay, that's stupid.
1) You guys can SEE the top of the hill, right?! If you couldn't, that wasn't established.
2) You saw the position of the two on the log. Fiore was standing on top of him! OF COURSE HE COULDN'T GET A FLAG
3) Would you guys seriously DITCH your alliance?! It WILL cause you the entire long game and you know it! DON'T BLOW THAT
Oh and 4 as a bonus) You never even listened to your ally! You KNEW he was scared, and yet you left him with a KID
"Maybe this was all a misunderstanding."
Ashley. I get it's hard to not side with a child. Use your brain.
"I wish I could believe you, but I know a little girl would never do those things."
Oh my god, you've never seen a child for more than two seconds your entire life. Not every kid is a saint! Toddlers are bratty as shit! They do that to get it out of their system!
(From this point on, I will put a 'Keep Reading' mark on the Tribal Council segments so I don't spoil the eliminations for my followers)
Oh we actually SEE who votes who!
YES!! THANK YOU! I WANTED THIS!!!
This is like Survivor much more, cause they flip these cards over to share the names, and you can see what the numbers were.
I always imagine what the eliminations in Total Drama would look like if they did that as well.
Okay Lilly's being smart.
WAIT CAUSE ASHLEY THREW HER VOTE WILL'S GONNA LEAVE, OH GOD...
YOU DIDN'T TALK TO YOUR ALLIANCE ABOUT THIS?!?! YOU COULD'VE VOTED OUT ALEC TOGETHER, AND YOU'D BE FINE.
That's Ashley's vote
That's not Lilly's handwriting. Is that Will or Nick?
That's Lilly's.
Not Alec's writing... Fiore's?
Alec, Fiore... Ellie?
And that's it.
RIP
NICK IS THE TRAITOR. OMG
YOU ARE REALITY TV'S STUPIDIEST ALLIANCE
(Unless Will voted himself)
I mean I don't really care about his character, but that could've so easily been avoided.
Tom, what ninja stuff are you getting into??

ROUND 3! MATCH 2 OUT OF 4
Propaganda Under the Cut:
Queen Red Riding Hood:
She's a girlboss who is sometimes a little vain but still loves her friends and will do anything to save her kingdom. Also she was in love with a guy since she was like 8 and he continuously rejected her, and then she found out he was in love with her archenemy. So yeah, she needs this.
She's kinda spoiled and high maintenance but gets better. I just think she's a fun character
i loved the land of stories series as a kid and i especially loved red because shes sooo full of herself and wears beautiful dresses and expensive jewelry and stuff (she became a queen lol) but also she does come to genuinely care for people and her friends and has a good heart (even if she does brag about it) sheâs a very funny character x)
Sheâs a great example of how sudden fame and wealth at a young age can go to your head, and she gets great character development about it. She has an entire giant chamber in her castle full of baskets (itâs unfortunately quite flammable). My most favorite detail about her is when she finds a wolf pup in the woods, she assumes itâs a dog and names him Clawdius (yes, spelled like that). Everyone else knows itâs a wolf but no one wants to be the one to tell her. She learns the truth and gets over it and now Clawdius is her guard wolf. (Oh also she had the original Big Bad Wolf made into a winter coat, and thatâs the original reason Clawdius came to her) I love her, sheâs married to a giant frog man, she got elected queen, please vote for her.
Queen Red ftw!!!!!!
As you can see from these little excerpts [Mod's note: click on link to look at the excerpts] that I managed to gather in less than ten minutes, you should vote for Queen Red :D
YESSSS VOTE FOR QUEEN RED, SHE DESERVES THIS SO MUCH
Vote for Queen Red TLoS!!! She's a girlboss who married a frog man :D
Cerise:
Sheâs the child of the red riding hood and the big bad wolf. Donât question it to okay. Also she was the first character I thought of when I saw this!
Sheâs the daughter of red riding hood and the big bad wolf! Sheâs a werewolf!
Love her design very much. She gets a lot of great outfits. Also, another version of Red Riding Hood that incorporates both the girl and the wolf together.
1: ever after high was iconic and amazing and so well written and i'm really bitter that it was cancelled so i think cerise deserves this win (i do too) 2: her design is really good. like no one else could EVER if you ask me 3: wolf girl. do i NEED to say more. ...honestly, my brain cannot bring out any more words so fingers crossed someone else submits her and she gets some ACTUAL GOOD propaganda (sorry cerise forgive me)
Sheâs a badass red riding hood with a secret (her dad is the big bad wolf)
She's the daughter of Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, so she has wolf ears and is really strong. She's supposed to be the next Red Riding Hood so she should count.
She's the daughter of Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf making her a daughter of forbidden love and thus a double representation of Little Red Riding Hood's age-old story of maturity and adolescence.
She's really cool! She was born from a forbidden romance between the wolf (don't worry he turns into a human lmao) and Little Red Riding Hood and has to hide her heritage from other people which I think is really interesting. Also her hood is really pretty.
She's the daughter of red riding hood and is meant to take over that role when it's her time
she slays so hard!! while technically shes not THE little red riding hood, she is her daughter and the FUTURE little red riding hood. shes also half wolf, which is really cool!! and yea. she slays.
idk sheâs just cool & definitely gay
Sheâs meant to be the next Red Riding Hood but her whole bit is that not only is her mom Red Riding Hood, her father is the Big Bad Wolf and she needs to keep it a secret. The best of both worlds. The tween girls went crazy for the wolf thing. Had a pretty doll and cool outfits. Has an older sister whoâs meant to be the next Big Bad Wolf (Ramona Badwolf) who she comes into conflict with. Identity crisis! She was everything to eleven year old me
Sheâs half wolf, she has cool white streaks in her hair, sheâs a jock with super speed and I like her a lot.
she turned me lesbian.
Fan favourite, my first lesbian crush on a character
She is a daughter of previous Little Red Riding Hood and Big Bad Wolf, how cool is that
Sheâs a furry yeuwu
sheâs the daughter of red riding hood and the big bad wolf. sheâs a wolf girl. i love her

Twst reasons to overblots & design rating !
Tw : SUBJECTIVE OPINION
Reasons to overblots :
1- Malleus
You mean to tell me that an almost immortal being is getting hate bcs he's loosing the closest thing he had to a friend and a father knowing that that'll happen to everyone he knows and can't take it like a mature adult ? When faes are canonically minors under the age of 200 and he's 178 and clearly struggling with his emotions since he was raised in loneliness ? Lmao. Okay. (I have to keep it short or I'll do a full Malleus analysis and no one wants that).
2 - Vil
I CANNOT put into words how much realism he was made with, and I could FEEL it through his overblot. Overblotting because no matter how HARD you try you'll always be second ? Because people will always prefer the other option because you're SO hard on yourself that you legit seems overworldly to others and it makes them feel intimidated ? Vil better than me I would've overblotted SO MUCH more in his shoes. And him being disgusted with his own actions because HE KNOWS THAT THIS ISN'T HOW HE SHOULD ACHIEVE GREATNESS OH I'M SICK. And the aftermath when Rook voted for the other team ? While I understand that it was logical and I don't blame him for that, it legit hurt me, so can you imagine Vil ? He literally almost fainted, and that's a tame reaction if you ask me. Vil overblot was perfect.
3 - Riddle
No need to elaborate I think. His overblot hit too close to home and I IMMEDIATELY loved him. Also while I love Ace he kinda deserved to be punished for the tart tbh. Like just don't steal what's not yours ? Use your brain ? Riddle punishing him was EXTREMELY reasonable, even more so when you know that he LOVES strawberry tarts, and Ace refuting that AND coming after his position when he could have just APOLOGIZED, is def one of the reason I wasn't fan of him for MONTHS. Not surprised that Riddle got very mad at him (I def would have too).
4 - Leona
Now his reason was very similar to Vil, but the reason I liked it less (doesn't mean that I disliked it) is because he knew he would be second from his birth, that nothing he could ever do would change that while Vil has the possibility to become first, and he's yet unable to do it and I find that even more tragic. Leona was literally doomed from the start and yet he still tried his best for years only for the people he would have been a king to if the successor was based on skills alone to be the one hating him ? Kill me. It caused him depression and ruined his life, so much that he gets held back on purpose to not go home ? Killed me even more. He deserved so much and he got so little hiahdqirongbzkzhzo.
5 - Idia
Listen, I understand the pain of loosing a brother, I lost one of mine, but never in my 20 years of life would I have ever thought of building an IA OF HIM ?? He kinda went crazy with this one. I wished we had gotten his parents' reaction to robot Ortho tbh. Him being unable to move on from Ortho was so good, especially when we know that he blames himself for his death, and getting CORRUPTED by og Ortho is perfect. I don't have a lot more to say, sorry.
6 - Azul - starting from here, there's a huge gap between the classements. The 5 firsts were TIGHT together.
He's an achiever who lost the empire he built, I get it. But like, just build it again. Stop crying and rolling on the floor, and get up and act like a man. Of course, I know he's still a minor too, so I understand why he reacts like that, but Idk. I didn't feel as attached to his overblot as the others, which I'm kinda sad about since I REALLY like him, he's just so enjoyable.
7 - Last and least, the bitch himself, Jamil
Could have prevented the overblot if he learnt what communication was and I'll stand by that. Tried to kill Kalim because he couldn't take his anger on their parents, the yk, lmactual reasons why he felt like this in the first place. And he held Yuu captive too. He has no excuses.
Design :
1 - Riddle
PERFECT. LITERALLY UNMATCHED. The cards, the dress, the makeup, the eye color change, everything was PERFECT !
2 - Vil
I didn't know I needed nun Vil before but I do now wtf. He made me think of Mary so much it's insane I was in shock. The spikes were GOOD.
3 - Jamil
Since this on design alone, this is the only time he'll ever be in one of my top 3. The color scheme was on point and the snake design was VERY fitting.
4 - Azul
It was GOOD. And since it gave us Azul in merform it's đ§ââïžđ§ââïž. The color was fitting once again and he just overall looked good.
5 - Malleus
I'll never say it enough but NEON GREEN IS SUCH A BAD CHOICE FOR DIASOMNIA LORD ! Forest green would fit them all MUCH better, and it's proved once again by his overblot design. The purple is good, but the green is such a thrown off dude... I also didn't particularly like the hair choice but I did like the tail. The rest of the design is just not very special.
6 - Leona (he's fighting with Idia for the last place)
The hair... the hair was not it. (I did like how it kinda matched Cater's (especially when you consider that Cater had called him sweatheart minutes before... my Leokei shipper sense is in action...)). The rest of the design was just meh.
7 - Idia
I'M SORRY BUT THAT WAS JUST HIDEOUS WTF. Idia with short hair is my nightmare dude.
#unpopular opinions I think#âb-b-but you mischaracterize Jamil đ„ș!â I donât care I hate him ! Hope this helps đ#twisted wonderland#overblots

Baldur's Gate 3 Characters' Pokémon Team (Part 2)
âHalsin, the (ex)Archdruidâ
Read the other parts at the end of the post.
Hello everyone, let's go to part 2 of this little game I'm doing to think about a Pokémon team for the characters from Baldur's Gate, based on their personalities and backstory.
The only rules are: 1 Starter, 4 common Pokémon and 1 Legendary or Mythical. The team also needs a Gigantamax or a Mega Evolution.
Today we will see the (ex)Archdruid of Emerald Grove, Halsin, our beloved elf, bear, daddy and healer. Let's try to imagine the Pokémon he would use on his team!
Its starter was complicated, practically any Grass-type Pokémon would be perfect! However, I wanted to not be too cliché, so I thought of another Pokémon for this.
You know that line of his about ducks? Halsin loves ducks. So why not an energetic and joyful duck?
This is Quaxly! Paldea's Water starter!
Quaxly is a lively duckling with a cheerful personality. Motivates allies, but is full of active spirit! So active that its evolution becomes a Fighting-type Pokémon!
Quaquaval is a duck that dances and fights! With a willpower that makes him deal with challenges head on. We all know that Halsin dances in the epilogue and has enormous willpower, I think this grown duck would be a great companion for him!
Not to mention that water helps nature, so Halsin would be happy to make Quaquaval water any dry plants they had lying around.
Then that's it! Quaquaval would be Halsin's first Pokémon! They would dance(Specifically Samba) around while destroying those who threaten the nature!
But the second Pokémon needs to represent Halsin! And nothing better than a bear... There are several bear pokemon. But I would vote for Bewear as a Halsin signature pokemon!
This big bear is of the Normal/Fighting type, being a bear that loves to hug, but has such great physical strength that it hurts others when hugging.
But he doesn't do anything bad! Bewear has a huge heart... They are caring, gentle, protective and very soft! Fluffy is actually their ability...
They are big bears that represent Halsin as a whole. Strong, but loving. Gigantic, but with a big heart.
The third Pokémon continues this path of large Pokémon with a careful personality. And that's why I thought of Kangaskhan as Halsin's Pokémon!
This purely Normal-type Pokémon is a mother. Protects your child in its pouch with its life, lives in community and is kind to those who are good people.
Halsin loves children, that's no secret to anyone. So he would love a Pokémon that exalts all the beauty of motherhood and care.
And the best! Kangaskhan can Mega evolve!
Your Mega Evolution doesn't change anything, just the fact that your child is now grown up! And they can both fight together!
Halsin would love to see this little one grow up strong and healthy enough to help his mother with works.
Halsin's fourth Pokémon is to represent the change in nature. The seasons of the year. The beauty of change. This Pokémon is Sawsbuck.
Sawsbuck is a Grass/Normal deer that changes its antlers based on seasons. They are protective of their flock, linked to nature in an intimate way. Beautiful, graceful, like nature itself.
This Pokémon would be perfect for Halsin, he would admire the foliage of his antlers and recognize the state of the seasons at that moment.
Okay, but something is missing from this team, a medical Pokémon, a healer. A Pokémon that demonstrates the care that Halsin has for the injured and the sick. And no one better than Blissey, Halsin's fifth Pokémon.
Blissey is a doctor pokemon, who takes care of others, worried about everyone. They even offers her egg, full of nutrients, to those who are sick! They are by nature careful and affectionate. With an instinct to care and protect, as Halsin has at different times.
This Pokémon would help Halsin care for the sick and injured, as if it were an assistant. Blissey would be a great addition to his team.
And don't underestimate the power of Blissey! They can be powerful even if they are only Normal types. They can be very useful in combat.
Finally, Halsin's last pokemon is his Legendary. We have several options, but I will go with the protector of nature, Tapu Bulu!
This powerful Pokémon that protects Alola and nature is a Grass/Fairy type. Fairy itself is a type very linked to nature, to its power, to the natural.
Tapu Bulu is dedicated, focused, but also playful. They loves humans and cares for those who take care of nature. They is responsible for making vegetation grow, taking care of nature and plants.
It's almost as if he was sent by Silvanus for such a task. To care for and protect everything He created.
Furthermore, Tapu Bulu is inspired by one of the Hawaiian Gods and Totems (as well as the other Tapus), which are carved with wood. And well, we know that Halsin likes to carve wood.
And now, we have the conclusion, where based on what was analyzed, I say that Halsin favorite type is:
Normal type!
The Normal type is underrated, but it is an extremely interesting type. They have almost no weaknesses or advantages, but they have a unique quality of moves.
The Normal type represents, well, normality. Everything that is closest to our real world has the Normal type in the Pokémon world. Everything that is neutral or natural is of the normal type.
See how many animal Pokémon are normal types, or how many Pokémon you care for are normal types. The normal type also represents music, the nature, the change and the ability to change.
Halsin would love the normal type for its simplicity, for representing the beauty of life and nature in a simple way. Not everything needs to be very magical or powerful, and Halsin sees the beauty of this in Normal-type pocket monsters!
And I hope you enjoyed the analysis! I really want to team up with the other characters.
