On today's episode of my obsessing session over my two favorite blorbos, Cale Henituse and Monkey D. Luffy. I have found some similar aspects between them!

!SPOILER WARNING FOR BOTH TCF AND ONE PIECE!

Someone who gives you food is a good person (especially when they are struggling with food themselves)

To both Cale and Luffy, people who give them food are good people. But especially when the person who gives them food is also struggling with food themselves. Lee Soo Hyuk had given Kim Rok Soo (Cale) his chocolate bar after saving him even when they were in the middle of an apocalypse thus food is a sacred thing. Rebecca and O-Tama also bought/gave Luffy food when he was hungry even when they, themselves didn't have much.

Both Cale and Luffy also really value food. To be able to eat and enjoy food, especially with their people is a thing that both of them love. After a battle or a crisis, Cale loves to enjoy luxury meals with his people while Luffy loves to party/have a banquet with everyone. Both of them also want people around them to not be hungry and be able to enjoy food too.

People should be able to live as they want (without causing harm to those innocent around them)

Live freely, live as you please.

I notice that freedom to live as you please is a thing that Cale and Luffy usually give to those around them while the people who oppose that freedom of others usually meet the fucking end of Cale's/Luffy's violent rampage.

I will do whatever I want.

Also, Cale and Luffy usually just do whatever they want too.

i really sympathise with bess in this situation. she's too uncomfortable to be with her kids bc of moorsnow and whorlstar's decision and cedar has no say in the entire situation. i understand why they would be concerned with the apprentices leaving clan territory [vinepaw] but like. wouldn't cedarheart be more effected by that?? his nephew almost drowning?? he would care more than moorsnow would. she may be deputy but this is obviously a family issue bro. moor and whorl aren't terrible people but the kids should get to see their mom without being held as bargaining chips. bess is obviously uncomfortably with clan life and would freak out if she had to be supervised when being with her own kids when she's done absolutely nothing wrong in the first place. its also unfair to the kids, suddenly cutting them off from their mother and leaving them estranged. i dont rly see many others sharing this opinion so im worried im reading this wrong but bess is a good person and uhh i really like her and think she is completely justified and right

There is def more scenes to be shown that will include Bess and more on what she's like - and you can like her all you want!! I don't think of her as a villian and she certainly thinks she's in the right here (and has reasons behind what she does) just as much as Whorl thinks she's in the right. It's a grey-ish situation

I do disagree with Moor/Whorl being unable to care just as much about Vine/the other kits just bc they aren't blood related though. Family is not just who's blood you have and love isn't generated just by being related to someone xD They absolutely love those kits every ounce as much as Cedar does

sure, we all love found family in fiction. but recently i’ve been thinking about what exactly draws me to it so much. and thinking about it, it’s unfortunately all too obvious. i’m obsessed with the idea of someone not being required to support and love another person, but doing so anyways, and doing it to such an extent that they essentially become family to each other. why? well, there were people in my life that should have automatically supported and loved me, but they didn’t; it’s the idea of someone doing something by choice what someone else wouldn’t even do by requirement. what one person saw and said “that’s an unlovable mess” another person saw said “maybe you are a mess but i’m going to go out of my way to love you anyways”. needless to say i’ve been crying for a while.
