OK THIS IS NOT A FUCKING DRILL EVERYONE FUCKING REPEAT AFTER ME. THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL DO WHEN YOU WATCH MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL THIS YEAR:
You will navigate to the page on disney plus (and it has to be here. Unless someone has actually uploaded the REAL movie anywhere else you cannot get it elsewhere)
BUT YOU WILL NOT HIT PLAY. You won’t do it. Because it’s NOT THE REAL VERSION OF THE FILM AND DISNEY IS FUCKING LYING TO YOU AS IT ALWAYS DOES
Tumblr media
You will scroll down HERE. To EXTRAS instead. You MUST GO HERE. This is non -negotiable
Tumblr media
THEN YOU WILL SCROLL DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF THE EXTRAS AND YOU WILL THEN HIT PLAY ON THIS BAD BOY: THE FULL LENGTH VERSION
And you will watch it. And you will thank me for having been so blind and led astray by that stupid fucking mouse. You’re welcome.

You know, if CEOs want me to really care about CEOs getting killed by guns, maybe we shouldn't have spent the last couple decades making the US so numb to absolutely horrifying gun violence. I have reached the point where I can not cry when another round of kids in school are murdered with guns. No wonder I can feel vaguely amused when a sleazy millionaire who built his career off denying human rights and dignity is being murdered.
That being said, I don't want to be in charge of ranking who is most worthy of life and making the call on choosing who lives and dies.
Hmmm....You know who does want to be in charge of that?
(Health Insurance CEOs)

The extreme difference between these photos is mind boggling
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How this country treats someone who (ALLEGEDLY) killed ONE PERSON
Verses how this country treats a man who has and continues to bomb people he knows are innocent…
Update: and the one on the left possibly faces the death penalty. Here’s my thoughts.

You know, it occurs to me that the known internet phenomenon of Reddit “am I the asshole?” posts having completely misleading headers is actually a really great example of a far less known but far more common practice of extreme journalistic spin in cases where there are large monetary incentives to diminish the story in question.
Like, if you see a Reddit post titled “Am I the asshole for buying my wife a new dress?”, the post is pretty much always something totally deranged like: “I (48) really dislike the way my wife (20) dresses, because I think it’s too revealing and makes her look slutty, which was fine when we started dating five years ago, but it makes me feel like she’s going to cheat on me now that we’re married. I’ve politely asked her to get new clothes multiple times, and every time she refused because she said she liked her clothes, and didn’t want to waste money buying new ones. Yesterday I couldn’t take it anymore so I threw out a bunch of her old dresses and bought her a new one that was more modest looking. She started crying because one of the dresses I threw out had been left to her by her mom who died when she was a teen, but I couldn’t have known that it had sentimental value. She said that I should have asked, but obviously if I asked she’d have just told me not to throw out any of her clothes, including the ones that weren’t sentimental. Also, the more modest dress I bought was pretty expensive, and she never thanked me for it. Am I the asshole here, or is she being unreasonable?”
Similarly, whenever you see a headline like “Woman Wins Millions From McDonald’s Because Her Hot Coffee Was Too Hot”, if you dig a bit, you’ll almost always quickly find out that what actually happened was: A 79-year-old ordered coffee which, unbeknownst to her, was being served extremely dangerously hot, because McDonald’s was trying to have coffee that stayed warm over a long commute without spending any extra money on cups with better insulation. The coffee spilled on the old woman’s lap, giving her severe third degree burns over a huge portion of her body, including her genitals. She got to a hospital and they managed to save her life with skin grafting, but she became disabled from the accident, and her genitals and thighs were permanently disfigured. She tried to settle with McDonald’s for her medical costs, and McDonald’s refused to cover any portion of her medical expenses at all, and so she sued. At trial, the jury discovered that this same exact thing had happened seven hundred times before, and McDonald’s had still decided not to change their policy because paying out individual suits was cheaper than moderately reducing their coffee profits. As a result, the jury awarded punitive damages designed to penalize McDonald’s two days worth of their coffee profits, in addition to the woman’s medical costs.
I think it’s largely the same phenomenon, but I know a lot of people who are familiar with the first case, but don’t know to look for the second. If you see some totally outrageous “how could a person ever sue over this stupid thing?” case, you should immediately be incredibly suspicious that that’s all that actually happened, because a lot of the time, it absolutely isn’t. The people who have the most incentive to make their opponent look not only wrong, but completely crazy for having any sort of grievance at all, are often the actually unreasonable ones.
Anyway this is all to say that if I see ANY of y’all automatically siding with McDonald’s over the recent case where 4-year-old girl was severely burned by their chicken nuggets because “hurr durr dumb kid didn’t know that chicken nuggets were hot, people sue over anything lol”, I will grab that McBoot you’re licking and shove it all the way up your McFuckingAss.

I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way but Europe is kinda like a miniature America. All the landscapes and trees and stuff are SMALL, they're little versions of the stuff we got going on over here. Even your big things, like the alps, are so cute. You could put a fun roller coaster up there and make it a little ride for the kids.

Dear artists: Please be aware of the art commission scam!
Hi everyone! I'm Bee.
I document scams on my side blog @scam-alerts.
With Christmas fast approaching I want to make sure as many artists as possible are made aware of the current art commission scam going on right now on tumblr.
If you didn't know there was a scam going on, please see this post:
and also see this second post too! Which talks about how they're accepting an artists commission prices, but the scam, in and of itself, is still basically the same.
Even if you're not an artist, please consider sharing this post (or the ones linked above) so others can be made more aware of this. Losing money to scammers can be a huge blow to ones drive to create art, and it can hugely impact someone financially for months if not years to come.
Happy holidays!

🔎Scam Exam(ination)🔍
Seen as: I would like a commission of my son/pet... Scam Type: Commission Scam
Also: See this update on how scammers are changing the scam.
Being open to commissions isn't uncommon if you're an artist.
You may often find yourself receiving messages from strangers looking to commission you for a picture of their OC or even their favorite ship.
But if you receive a message like this, you should be careful you don't fall into a scammers trap.
-----
How it starts:
it starts by receiving a message from another user requesting a commission. Again, typical common practice if you're an artist.
What they ask for at the start, is usually the first red flag.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Images provided by: (1)@neogandw, (2)@foggywiz4rd, (3-4)@maikaartwork
🚩Red flag's (part 1)🚩
I want you to draw my son/daughter.
I want you to draw my son/daughter's pet.
It's a blank blog with no posts/reblogs
It's a blog that's only a few days/week old.
While this request seems simple enough, this scam gets worse.
-----
An offer too good to refuse:
Now you may be thinking, 'surely this can't be bad or malicious, right?' They just want you to draw a picture of their child or their child's pet! And that's definitely what the scammer wants you to think. Which is what brings us to the next set of red flags:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Left image from @neogandw, right image from @maikaartwork
🚩Red flag's (part 2)🚩
'I will pay you $200-$500+' (an amount way way beyond your normal asking price.)
'I just want the best you can do.' (They don't know how to answer questions related to details such as pose, background, style, objects you want included, etc.)
'It's for their birthday/holiday' - ' I want it done as soon as possible.' (They will push that you do this with a sense of urgency so you don't ask questions.)
-----
The Catch:
Now, if you haven't reported and blocked them by now, and you agree to take this persons commission, this is where the catch to this scam comes into play.
If you tell the scammer to send you an invoice, they will refuse.
If you tell them to use your preferred method, they will refuse.
Those methods just 'wont/don't work', you see.
What they really want, is your PayPal email and your name.
From here they will say that they sent you payment, and that you should check your email. Or that 'they got an email and something went wrong' and that you should check your email.
And here is where the scam comes to ahead.
They will send you a fake email meant to look like it came from PayPal that looks like the ones shown below:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Second image provided by @badlibbing -----
What this means / How this works:
In the case of screenshot one (provided by @neogandw) the 'MONALISA' is the person who was trying to commission them.
The payment hasn't 'went through', and the e-mail (from 'fake PayPal') is saying that they, the artist, needs to send $200 to 'MONALISA' to 'expand the limit' of their account to get the $500 that is owed to them.
Think about this for a second.
If your account is limited, why would you need to send another PayPal user money to 'unlock' your account or 'expand it', and not just contact PayPal itself to try and resolve that issue...?
There are also a handful of red flags in this email alone.
🚩Red flag's (part 3)🚩
The sender address is not from an official paypal.com address, but instead a gmail.com address. This means that this came from a person, not a company.
The formatting. Let's be frank, no official email from PayPal will ever look like this.
The spelling/grammar issues are everywhere.
Weird url's at the bottom of the email. (I removed them for safety reasons)
Additionally: You may also find or see links in this emails instructing you to 'go here' to unlock your account. These are phishing (wikipedia) links that they will use to steal your PayPal login information. Never click links in emails asking you to 'fix an issue' with your account unless you can verify who the sender is.
If you send these people your money, you will get blocked and never see them again. That's just how this scam goes...
If you'd like another variation of this scam which talks about money wiring, you can check out @maikaartwork's version by clicking here!
-----
Final thoughts:
If you fall for a scam like this, thankfully there still might be hope.
Contact PayPal and explain what happened in detail. Show them every shred of evidence that you have showing that you were scammed including the name of who scammed you, and the email that sent you the scam, and who you wound up sending the money to.
If you use the messaging system that uses the AI chat bot, ask it repeatedly to 'speak to a real person' until you get sent to a live agent. (this is stupidly frustrating but sadly it's what you have to do.)
And remember, take screenshots and report these users to the websites they are running these scams on. If they DM you on tumblr? Report the DM. If they do it on insta, bsky, twitter or even discord?
Make sure you report them there too.
ALSO: Beware of recovery scammers. This is anyone coming into your DM's telling you they can 'help you get your money back' after you made a post talking about how you got scammed. These scammers are just looking for a quick buck.
Here's a post about ethical hackers (aka recovery scammers)
Other helpful guides on spotting scams. (by @kyra45)

Okay, so, friends. Occasionally I see an American post on here about “guillotine the rich,” and it turns out that “rich” means “anyone making over $50k.”
We need to clear this shit up REAL fast, because otherwise it’s gonna wind up like the French Revolution, where more middle class and poor people were killed for being “class traitors” than actual nobles. (Did you know that France has more nobles today than during the French Revolution? While there were a few showy executions, many nobles did just fine or experienced minor setbacks.)
If someone makes $60,000 a year, they are making about twice as much as a full time worker making minimum wage in California, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, DC, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, or Washington State.
Brian Thompson, the CEO of United HealthCare who was just assassinated in New York City, earned $10 million a year, which means he earned 333 times minimum wage in those states. Basically, he cleared an annual minimum wage salary in just over a day. And that “rich” person making $60k/year that you want to guillotine? He made their salary in a bit over two days of a year.
So he was rich, right?
Well. Tesla is trying to give Elon Musk a pay package of $101 billion. That is 10,100 times what Brian Thompson earned and 3,366,667 times more than a minimum wage worker. (Tesla hasn’t been successful yet because of a complicated lawsuit from a shareholder, but they’ll get there.) If you are a minimum wage worker, Elon Musk makes more every SECOND than you do in a year. And that “rich” person who you want to guillotine? He makes their salary in about 1.6 seconds. Even when he’s sleeping.
Now, remember. The Muskrat also is the head of SpaceX, the Boring Company, X.ai, and X.com, so this is just ONE pay package for him.
What I’m saying is — you have much more in common when it comes to economic grievances with someone earning $60,000 (or even $200,000) than the ultra wealthy that have real power. They are not the people you should expend your energy on.
