#I’ve never understood the appeal of watching football #I’ve never understood how it was a fun or interesting game #I’ve never grasped how it could possibly be fun to play #I’ve never really observed one single positive about the sport itself #from the gameplay to the toxic masculine mess of its audience #and now that yet another tragedy has befallen a player #all I can do is continue to wonder how this stupid barbaric dangerous sport #became and remains a national pastime #it will never go away because it’s so ridiculously profitable for so many #but like… it’s just crazy #we as a society are gonna sacrifice people’s bodies for sport #and cheer at the brutality like its a gladiator event #forever and ever and ever huh #and that’s just normal lol #I’ll never ever understand it #(this is about american football obv lol)
