This might be a pretty hot take so bare with me
OSDD-1b systems often get a hit with a lot of misconceptions. For example, some people assume that the lack of amnesia = less/no dissociation and other dissociative symptoms. Which is not true. It's still a dissociative disorder and that's not exactly how having less/no amnesia works. In fact we dissociate 90% if not 99% of the time.
Here's the hot take part.. This sometimes leads 1b systems to be very susceptible to denial, not being believed, and having their disorder faked.
To address the first two, being able to recall memories and time somewhat and not have blackout periods can cause doubt from both outside perspectives and the individuals themselves despite the presence of other symptoms, due to the stereotypical system experiences of completely blacking out in certain contexts and being unable to recall anything.
To address the third point, hear me out. I feel as though OSDD-1b as a label is often a common victim of fakers compared to 1a or DID systems. And I suspect this is because it is one of the only plural dissociative diagnoses that doesn't require complete amnesia and can still have fully distinct alters. People who fake being a system are often doing so because what they really want is the 'friends in your head' disorder. They want distinct alters without the actual debilitating dissociative symptoms. And like I said earlier, sometimes less/no amnesia can be taken as less/no dissociative symptoms. Combine these attributes and you have the perfect 'official diagnosis' to turn to. Having distinct alters and not having to fake amnesia / being able to excuse slipups like remembering something their supposed 'alters' did / being able to record 'switches' without faking disorientation, etc. MY MAIN POINT IN BRINGING THIS UP: THIS CAN FURTHER STIGMATIZE OSDD-1B AS A VALID DIAGNOSIS/EXPERIENCE!!
As I close this out I'd like to give a disclaimer:
Every system is different and endures unique struggles. As a 1b system, just because you suspect you have OSDD-1b doesn't automatically mean you are faking. I am talking about intentional fakers who don't show any other symptoms besides 'different personalities'. I also don't encourage fake claiming, especially of strangers you don't know. And finally, 1a and DID systems are valid and also have their labels commonly stigmatized, glamorized, and faked.
^ (This is a beautifully structured take)

I’m giving you some Lando I-can’t-sit-straight Norris
After giving you evidences I have a question:
How many straight people who can sit like that on every surface do you know? And how many not straight people that can stay seated composed and with both feet on the ground for more than five minute do you know?
.
.
Yep exactly 🧡
#for legal purposes this is a joke#but not so much#lando gay sitting#you can't tell me that Lando is comfortable sitting normally#obv I don't know him#i don't know his sexuality#I am not assuming or pointing fingers#I'm just stating that not straight people sit like this most of the time#is it a stereotype? Yes#but it's a stereotype that turns out to be true 99% of the time#and i'm one of those people so don't come at me#also BIG THANK YOU to everyone who sent me some seated Lando photo when I asked for help

I’m going to say something not a lot of people will like to hear but fuck it. discrimination towards ace and aro ppl - and those adjacent - is 99% of the time just blatant ableism disguised as “discourse”.
neurodivergent - and specifically autistic - ppl tend to make up a large portion of the aspec community since we tend to experience attraction differently than nt ppl, and I’m just saying that the perception of aspec people in the eyes of people who disagree w our existence being that we’re “childish and immature whiny people who are deeply obsessed with childish things and are too infantile to be taken seriously” being not far off at all from a very ableist stereotype of autistic people? yeah no way in hell that’s not a coincidence. when aphobia and arophobia were at their peak, discriminatory allo people LOVED to be like “ace/aro people are so cringe lmao!!!,!, all they do is obsess (insert ‘childish’ media here) but they still want to be TREATED WITH RESPECT?? how dumb lol unlike us REAL lgbts who care about the REAL world and don’t live in some FANTASY LAND they give US a bad name and need to be removed from our community!” and like…. You’re not gonna take a step back and read back what you’re saying? not at all? you’re not gonna do that huh. you do realize you’re falling eerily in line with a verryyyy specific type of ideology that’s also used against nd people here right?
and the thing that blows the most is that a majority of people engaging in “ace/aro discourse” at its peak WERE neurodivergent - but the thing is back then neurodivergence wasn’t NEARLY as recognized or treated with respect as it is in the current time, back when openly admitting you were autistic and being proud of it was unheard of. so instead, neurodivergent allo people with shitty mentalities chose to go after nd aspec/arospec people because the internet had reduced autism to such a drastic punchline that a lot of autistic people internalized that ableism, and so whenever they saw people being open about their neurodivergency they saw it as “cringe” and would make up any reason they could to justify harassment against them. and since a lot of aspec communities are made up of autistic people that those w internalized ableism saw as “infantile” or “threats to their reputation” - its unfortunately no wonder why so many allo nd lgbt people became so obsessed with attacking them for years on end.
and I know this because I (an ace lesbian) used to be in a lot of friend groups who WERE composed of these allo nd lgbt people who would just say the most vile shit about ace and aro people to make themselves feel more “valid” as “true members of the lgbt community” but these were also literally the only out lgbt friends I had. i kept my ace status closeted from them for years and never engaged in any conversations centering around “ace discourse” because I was afraid of the things that they’d do to me - I had seen them turn on their former friends who confessed they were aro or ace overnight because they were “embarrassing to be around”and i didn’t want to lose the only people in my life who’d “cared” about me. I eventually came to my senses and left them and found friends who knew all the gatekeeping was total meaningless bullshit and thank god I did because it damn near saved my life.
people who say that ace, aro, or any group of people who don’t have a “typical” means of attraction “don’t experience oppression at all” are fucking lying. they’re trying to remove any means of accountability from themselves because people who say that ARE the reason why we face the shit we do. THEY’RE the ones perpetuating it. they’re the reason why harassment against us isn’t as taken seriously because they’ve spread the belief that we are making shit up when we continue to call out the harm they’ve done.
so this pride month please just. fucking take a step back and really think about how many exclus talking points just so happen to coincide with ableist talking points. because I guarantee you there’s a lot of them, and in a climate where neurodivergency is actually able to be discussed and handled with respect now, it’s shocking that more people haven’t caught onto this yet.

Analyzing Kars' Character
Hello everyone! FYI I am not ignoring your requests. I have tried for a week to get them finished and I keep losing motivation. Then I had the brilliant idea of writing something else about an interesting topic and then I’ll be able to finish a few requests! Today’s post is another character analysis. This is still a multi-fandom blog; you will see content related to other shows besides Voltron. Today’s character analysis is on Kars, the 10,000-year-old vampire. That’s funny. He, Allura, and Coran are the same age!
Overview
I watched JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures about a month ago when I became frustrated that there were only 4 seasons of Hunter x Hunter on Netflix. Remember the scene in the election arc when the citizens were casting their votes for chairperson and Hisoka walked up with his arms forming an “S”? Many people were posing the question of it being a “JoJo’s” reference and for the life of me, I never understood what they were talking about. Finally, I watched the show for the first time and by season 2 I could understand what they were saying.
I have to admit that by the second episode I was bored because the nature of season one took place in the 1800s England and nothing exciting happened. Though I worked my way through a few more episodes. I noticed a creepy stone mask on the way and how it never fell unless blood was splattered on it. I concluded the mask was going to play the role of an antagonist or help the antagonist succeed. Although this post is about Kars, I would like to take a moment and say that Jonathan’s death was very heart wrenching and it made me angry. Jonathan was unnecessarily nice to Dio and living in a privileged bubble lead to his demise. Jonathan was stronger than Dio and he should have kicked his ass once and for all. Have you noticed that after Joseph’s father, all JoJo’s (at least until season 5) could beat the antagonist in the show?
Anyway, the mask is a key tool in the bizarre adventures that each protagonist experiences.
Kars is a 10,000-year-old vampire that designed the Stone Mask and is essentially responsible for the horrific events that have happened throughout history. Dio being turned into a merciless vampire and his minions resulted from the Stone Mask. After discovering that he and his people could not be out in the sun, he concluded he needed the Red Stone of Aja to complete his transformation. Lisa-Lisa, a 50-year-old human woman, has possession of the stone given by her foster father Straizo. Kars, along with the 3 remaining Pilar Men (Wamuu, Esidsi, and Santana, can only survive in the sun if they two wear the mask with the Red Stone of Aja. After awakening, it is quite clear that Kars is on a mission to retrieve the stone and will destroy anything in his way. He was the only one wanting to live a life outside of the darkness. This was the driving force of creating so many Stone Masks and later discovering the need for the Red Stone of Aja. Kars understood the mask would only work on him partially because of his larger skull size, aka body manipulation. This created an increase in hunger. The Pillar Men did not like this at all and sought to eliminate him so he could not ruin the flow of nature. Kars retaliated; he murdered 99% of his people only leaving his friend Esidsi, and two children known as Santana and Wamuu.
Kars’ character is very interesting. A dog was about to have its life ended because of drunk drivers. I don’t know if this struck a nerve in his soul, but Kars nearly cut off the driver’s head, causing them to crash their car and the puppy was saved. After being defeated by Joseph the first time, he landed at the end of a snowy cliff, making sure he did not land on a few daisies. Given these unique interactions with nature and secondary species, Kars has some vendetta against humans. What did they do to him or his people for him to care only about flowers and animals but want to wipe out Harmon users? He insists that Lisa-Lisa drink poison instead of fighting her. Fighting women is something he and Wamuu don’t take pleasure in doing. When I heard this for the first time, I didn’t know if that was something to be proud of or if he was being misogynistic (you know the stereotypical view society has about women). Even if he genuinely did not want to lay a finger on Lisa-Lisa or any woman, his intentions are very questionable. He mimics politeness. If Kars offered to pay for dinner or a drink, run. Just run because if you don’t, you’ll probably be turned into a vampire or be eaten alive.
This is off topic but I wanted to pose this scenario. After watching Battle Tendency for the 10th time, I always like to bring out the “soft” side in villains. Being a sucker for Fluff isn’t helpful. I know that’s defeating the purpose of villains and antagonists, but I can’t help and wonder how it would show in Kars. As I’ve previously stated, Kars seems to care for animals and plants more than humans...so there’s a soft spot somewhere in there. I had a rather amusing and odd thought involving Kars and Lisa-Lisa. Since Lisa-Lisa is the leader over Caesar and Joseph and Kars is the leader over the remain few Pillar Men, I can’t help but wonder how they’d react to each other. When Lisa-Lisa is ordered by Kars to stay at their hideout while Joseph retrieved the Stone, I know she didn’t stand there like a statue for nearly 12 hours. I imagine Kars offering a drink, water, or juice just to get her talking. I mean, she has to warm up to him or it’s going to be a horrible 12 hours. Then he’ll try to engage in conversation and will only try to flirt with her to see how she responds. He may make a comment about how clear her skin is, how perfect her makeup stays intact, or how her legs look better than his (well, duh, you’re 9,950 years older than her!). This way, he can exploit anything he deems as a weakness, but she is a smart woman. She would reveal nothing about her that could be used against her. As OOC as this seems, it could be something he’d do. Remember, he mimics politeness; he has a trick up his sleeve. Although that may be true, at the back of his mind, he really admires how young and enchanting she looks.
Although Esidsi, Wamuu, and Santana are Pillar Men, they are ancient humanoid superhuman beings who lived on the American continent. They have supernatural abilities that leave them invincible while the sun is down. They look similar to humans, but they are much bigger and muscular. Among the 3 remaining Pillar Men, I seem to gravitate to Kars than the others. Before you judge me, I’ll explain. Kars, like many male characters in this anime and others, has a unique character design. Contrary to popular belief, I like Kars better in his head wrap or while he is wearing his hat and cape. That outfit reminds me of a ghost/monster from the remastered Scooby-Doo series in the 70s. The one thing in particular that stood out to me was his eye shadow and mascara. The earrings didn’t surprise me as every time I draw my male characters, they automatically get a pair of earrings. While being physically fit, he can make ANYTHING look excellent!
Just like any villain, Kars and Joseph are equally arrogant and can exploit their opponent’s weaknesses against them. Making jokes about Lisa-Lisa while she is unconscious nearly sets him over the edge and while Kars thinks he has defeated Joseph, he is launched into space.
Last but not least, I noticed how the first two protagonists form an unusual bond with their enemies. As many of you have seen, Dio calls Jonathan JoJo but does not acknowledge Joseph or Jotaro in the same way. He does twice towards Jotaro but not after that. Kars refers to Joseph as JoJo and I have to believe that even if he knew his real name, he’d still refer to him as JoJo. Wamuu stated that fighting Jospeh was worth his time as he did not waste it and fight fairly. Throughout their battles, they somehow remind me of childish games with the name-calling and all. I wish Kars was not a “onetime” villain. I wish he could roll over to the next season. This is a preference, as I hate seasonal villains, like Chrollo Lucilfer or anyone similar.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading!

hey im not gonna spread your weird social media-mediated brain infection on my blog, instead here are some cool studies to look at about how the "beautiful people have an easier life, every day, all the time" is a simplistic view, and is also patriarchal as fuck. more recent studies on "beauty privilege" are finding that the issue is complex, and that perceived beauty acts as a negative pressure in some/many social situations. i have always wondered why my experiences varied so much from the apparent wonderland the pop-science concept of "beauty privilege" paints, and more recent studies (often designed by women this time, imagine) are getting into the complexity there.
you personally may want to think about not reading my social media accounts if they are making you feel and act like this. i think i am not going to interact with you anymore if i can help it because i feel bad about what it is doing to you. anyway.
the short version is that beauty is beneficial in heterosexual social situations when dealing with the opposite sex, but detrimental when dealing with the same sex. this aspect of the research is usually ignored because who needs nuance in their pop psychology, right? not this guy (pointing 2 self)
very simply put, a beautiful woman can flirt her way out of a ticket from a heterosexual male cop. if she tries it on a person who doesnt consider her a potential romantic partner, there may be (and apparenly often are) negative consequences.
similarly in my own life i find that 99% of the apparent opportunities i'd been given for being young and fuckable were predicated on me actually fucking* the person who "offered" them, and most of them turned out to be fake/insincere opportunities anyway. tumblr refers to this as "grooming" when applied to child subjects (which i was, for much of it) but the behavior persists into the target's adulthood, middle age, and even old age if certain conditions are met. i can't find any studies on this because you can't put a Sleazy Guy in a lab setting and ask him "hey were you actually going to hire this woman on hte up-and-up, or were you going to 'hire' her and then spend 16 months making increasingly deranged sexual harassment attempts before reporting her to HR for made-up reasons and then finally firing her or hamstringing her career? just wondering".
i always think about that episode of Always Sunny where Mac goes nuts because every kid in his class was molested by the gym teacher and he imagines this to be some sort of privilege, even though charlie was one of the victims and is clearly devastated by it. thats what this conversation feels like every time it gets to the level of anons making fake tumblr accounts to KEEP pestering me about this stuff. remember that thing i said earlier about blood in the water, and how i dont post about bad shit that happened to me because it attracts the wrong kind of attention??? hehuehueheuheuhuehriuhgfidsrhru
actually thats a whole other realm of study: why victims of sexual assault and abuse are often re-victimized. until recently it was assumed that the victims were making bad decisions in who to trust, and this is sooorrrrtt of true, but doesn't tell the whole story. i read a study once that i am trying to find and will post later if i find it, that took video of adult women study subjects (who had agreed to be filmed) walking normally just down the street publically, and showed this video to male test subjects. if im remembering the study correctly, which i may not be, the male subjects who scored higher on psychopathy indices were better able to indentify the women in the test footage who had been sexually assaulted at some point in their former lives.
something to think about is a lot of "attractive" qualities (including proccupation with physical appearance leading to altering that appearance to be more beautiful), especially in the manic pixie archetype, are very strongly represented in trauma victims, especially sexual assault survivors (as is the opposite, intentionally trying to be "unattractive" to avoid further victimization). this includes "seductiveness", one of the adjectives used to diagnose child sexual abuse victims before the verbiage in the literature got cleaned up. obviouly a child cant be "seductive" and thats pretty offensive and fucked up to say. what they meant is that the childs behavior has been altered by trauma to become sexualized to appease attackers. this is part of the "fawn" sector of emergency responses in humans (along with fight, flight, and freeze).
so when we talk so cavalierly of "beauty" and "attractive people" vs "unattractive people" we are simplifying an issue that is so complex it is difficult even to think about. this complexity makes me go "hmm" every time theres a study on it, much less a popular belief. a lot of it sort of doesnt square with easily-observable phenomena: if physical beauty is so correlated to success, why are the 1% of wealthy people, politicians, actual power-holders, hell even the CEOs of normal companies, very very rarely what you would consider physically beautiful, even when they havent aged out of what the culture thinks is the maximum span of time someone can be "hot"? some of this is just personal preference, and it's real hard to study any of this because of how complex that issue becomes. but where are all these hot successful people i keep hearing about? are they all trophy spouses and retired from the public eye? you can definitely cherrypick examples of "influencers" etc but thats an extremely narrow line of work, and not representative.
anyway! lot of the "do beautiful people get more stuff" research is from quite a while ago, wasnt designed well, and was based on a work and social culture that was quite a bit different than it is now. but even older studies document this effect. ive spent like many minutes typing about this stupid bullshit so im bored and annoyed now and i dont want to type about it anymore
1. Effects of Self-Esteem Threat on Physical Attractiveness Stereotypes
2. Does being attractive always help? positive and negative effects of attractiveness on social decision making (cant find the sci-hub version, alas, but documents a negative effect we're actually seeing an anecdotal example of in my inbox rn)
3. Is beauty a gift or a curse? The influence of an offender’s physical attractiveness on forgiveness
* often it wasnt even just a sex thing. it's very very often a romance/relationship that is desired by the perpetrator. it's a misapprehension of the public that sexual harassment/grooming is "just about sex" or even less accurately "just about power", it isnt

Frev prompts, Part 12! We’re officially reaching the number 100, Citizens! I honestly thought I’d be done with the prompts at this point but trust me, I still have ideas.
96. The protagonist is a fairly average person. A workaholic with almost no time to spare for personal life, they hate the job and the abusive boss but believe that they have no other option in life.
Or rather, they used to believe it until a chance encounter with one Monsieur Berthier, an equally overworked and miserable man who seems to have arrived from a different time period by unknown means. This encounter, Berthier’s mental state that mirrors that of the protagonist to an alarming degree and other mysterious events force the protagonist to question their life choices and consider other options for the first time in years.
Moreover, when the protagonist turns to a relative who owns a time machine and tries to return their new acquaintance home, the machine malfunctions and traps the protagonist and Monsieur Berthier in France of 1789, where the French Revolution is about to begin.
Stranded in 1789 and only able to rely on each other, the two must survive, return to their respective time periods and try not to accidentally mess up history while they’re at it. It’s not easy, but at least Monsieur Berthier seems quite versed in the history of the Revolution…
97. When the protagonist, a stereotypical adventurous investigative reporter with a budding interest in the French Revolution, is sent undercover to an asylum to investigate its conditions, they are determined to expose whatever is going on in that sketchy institution, not expecting any surprises.
Interestingly enough, the surprises do come in the form of the three people who the protagonist first meets in the asylum - an avid (yet terrible) flutist named Michel, a womanizing man with only one eye and a knack for finding treasures called André and a woman who responds to the unusual name of Theroigne.
While all of them seem to have genuine issues with their mental health, the protagonist can’t help but get the impression that there’s something off about their new allies, as if they’re not even from our time period.
Being a good intrepid reporter, the protagonist decides to continue the investigation. Who runs this strange place? Why would they lock up historical figures? Are André’s words about a secret treasure being hidden on the premises true? And could this be the undisclosed location to which the protagonist’s mother, a reclusive French Revolution enthusiast called Charlotte, had been taken a while ago?
98. In 1789, as the events of the Revolution are only beginning to unfold, a dying noble leaves his son everything, on the condition that said son marries a particular noblewoman from a powerful family.
While at first the arrangement doesn’t seem all that unusual, soon the main character notices that this noblewoman is a sympathizer of the revolutionaries and exhibits suspicious behavior from time to time.
Could she be in cahoots with the revolutionaries? Why would the nobleman’s father arrange for his son to marry a “rebel”?
Overcome by questions with no answers in sight, the main character follows his future spouse to one of her “meetings with friends”...
99. 1804, Paris. Napoleon Bonaparte has just become the Emperor of the French. Seeing as he is at the top of the country’s hierarchy, it seems like his authority won’t be challenged by anyone in their right mind.
That is until a group of Jacobins, furious that one of their own betrayed the Revolution and became a monarch (albeit with a different fancy title), steps in and plans a coup to get rid of this Corsican nuisance.
And, as it turns out, they’re not alone in their desire to get rid of the emperor, for these Jacobins find an extremely unlikely ally in one Joseph Fouché, who has just been appointed as the Minister of Police for the second time. Now this cunning cruel fox, having caught wind of what these Jacobins are planning, has just contacted them and offered them his help with the coup.
And even though the Jacobins agree to this alliance, they are far from stupid and fully aware of the crimes that Fouché covered up years ago. It doesn’t help that one of the rebels is from Lyon while the other is trying to avenge one of the executed Montagnards for a personal reason.
Cunning as the mitrailleur of Lyon might be, his decision might just contribute to dire consequences and ensure his long overdue downfall…
100. When the two protagonists first came to Paris during their travels, they didn’t quite expect to end up trapped in France and become caught up in the events of the Revolution.
Unfortunately for them, this is exactly what happens and although the protagonists try to stay out of the conflict altogether at first, they too end up roped into the situation when they help a wounded man hide from pursuers.
Said man turns out to be a revolutionary and, claiming that associating with him is putting the protagonists into hot water already, offers them to join the cause in exchange for an opportunity to leave France as soon as the Jacobins succeed.
Despite all the potential risks, the offer sounds tempting and, as the saying goes, desperate times call for desperate measures...

dreamsmp but its soul eater
part one of maybe more (?)
part 2
note: for the uninformed soul eater is anime/manga series about a world where some people can turn into weapons such as a sythe, sword or pistols (i use those examples as they’re the main weapons on the show). these weapons have a partner called a ‘meister’ who wields the weapon in combat. a weapon can change between human and weapon form and can sometimes be both at the same time (making their arm into a sword etc.) a meister and weapon pair are deeply bonded with trust and your other stereotypical anime stuff. (weapon and meister pairs don’t always have to be deeply bonded and in no way are any of the trust elevated to a romantic level, SHIPPERS DNI).
- tommy’s the double bladed sword with tubbo as his meister. at first tubbo thought the two bladed sword was too big and bulky but he grew better at it. he’s able to spin it around with ease, intimidating any foe. they have one of the stronger bonds between weapon and meister because of the friendship they had. it helps make the two of them a very powerful duo, not to mention a 5’5 teenager running at you with a giant double bladed sword yelling profanities is a pretty terrifying sight. during the exile, tubbo didn’t participate in the butcher army as he felt incomplete using any other weapon.
- wilbur and schlatt had a rocky relationship. it started well, they were pretty powerful. there was a level of trust bedded deep below their constant bickering. wilbur was a gladius with the meister schlatt. they had defeated many evils. until the election. their trust was fractured. wilbur and niki, both weapons, began to wield each other, neither one having a true meister. schlatt wouldn’t wield anyone but would make quackity the battleaxe do any dirty work for him. after the two died, they found eachother again. neither of them could remember their pasts but they felt familiar to each other. now the revived glatt uses ghostbur as his weapon, if the two ever need to fight.
- sapnap is the meister to both karl and quackity, twin battleaxes. at first there was lots of debate over who sapnap should use as his weapon as battle axes are large and can be hard to use in tandem, but sapnap shut down the argument by showing that he was strong enough to wield the two of them at the same time. because the three of them are engaged, their more compatible than most. however, 99% of the time, they have maybe one brain cell between them that bounces back and forth from person to person. but when they’re motivated they can be an admirable opponent. (sapnap personally believes his weapons are the coolest out of everyone else’s)
- when karl time travels, he wields himself as a weapon. he notices that james and mason were meisters, while drew and jack were battle axes. they feel familiar.
- george is a sythe with dream as his meister. the two originally hated being paired up, dream complaining that a sythe was awkward in battle and george flat out saying dream got on his nerves. but they improved, as did dream’s sythe skills. but, when dream’s motivations started to go downhill as he became more and more unstable, george abandoned him. george was worried dream was going to start using violence and didn’t want to be a part of it. for the disc wars, dream used his own standard weapon, that he once tried to spin like a sythe before realizing george wasn’t with him. george hasn’t visited dream in prison out of fear and disappointment. george believed dream could do great things, that they could have done great things together. not this.
- ranboo is his own weapon. ranboo’s unknown side is made up of weapon material, meaning he is able to call himself as a weapon. this stemmed from him always being alone, on his own side. he had to learn to protect himself and not rely on others for help. but, fighting using his own body proved detrimental as any hit his weapon took, he took as well. when he started to open up to fundy, who is a bastard sword, he started to become ranboo’s weapon. they trusted each other. until doomsday, when their differences of opinion broke their bond. fundy ran away and ranboo was reminded of why he was his own weapon. you can’t trust anyone.
- phil and techno are a meister weapon pair who have been working for ages. techno, a broad sword, was one of phil’s only friends. the two had been defeating things like the ender dragon and complex governmental systems for as long as they could remember. there was never a thing they wouldn’t do for each other. on an adventure once, phil had gotten injuried. nothing life threatening but it was still enough for the excursion to be called off. since then, techno has been adamant about keeping phil safe. he didn’t know what he would do if anything happened to him.
- niki the trident and meister jack manifold are a new weapon/meister duo on the server. the two of them came together after doomsday, both realizing that tommy (and tubbo by proxy) were the problems on the server. they swore that together, they would cause ultimate chaos and anarchy. they bonded on being pushed aside and overlooked. their power comes from their disregard for most people. they’ve been walked over by almost everyone on the server. they both understand it’ll be difficult to take down tommy and tubbo, so currently the pair is training for the day of reckoning.

Part 2 of Kevanru's Bio Family Roles
Go to part one
TL:DR: Kevanru got along with everyone. They were not expected or pressured to have babies but the more comfortable they got the more they warmed up to the idea. They just freakin’ loved being alive & loved being in a caring family. They had 2 children & were fine with being called a mother & wife, as these are more like roles in Kaleeshi society than tied specifically to being a woman. They did mostly mom role things but also some dad things the boys would talk to them about. You know, strictly boy business, no girls allowed.
Kevanru, being a very jubilant & enthusiastic person, did not have to do much in the way of convincing the other wives that they would fit in with the family. They were honored by the Khaganate’s acceptance & were honestly glad to be anywhere their miserable father was not. Kevanru was honestly the model Kaleeshi citizen. The strength & honor of a true warrior, hardworking, adaptable, & readily very social, excited to be part of a new family.
They explained as well as they could to the others that they were non-binary not to exclude traits from one gender or the other but to include all of them. Everyone seemed to understand this pretty quickly. It took a little while for some more than other wives to completely stop accidentally using female pronouns just because 99% of the time wife was woman. Their vocabulary shifted almost without notice & eventually became more neutral in everything. As it turns out it is easier than meticulously gendering most words. Their children didn’t notice until they were older & got out of the house more.
The only times this affected how they treated Kevanru was when something that was specifically a female situation arose, which was not often. In most cases family would pause & just ask how they felt about it, seeing as Kevanru was easy to talk to. Sometimes they wouldn’t know themselves & would have to think about it. The main two traditionally female things in Kaleeshi society were, of course, being a wife & being a mother. Kevanru was pretty good so far as wife duties went & so did not mind being labeled a wife. The others said they were their husband-wife, their wife capable of husband role things.
Kevanru also didn’t mind helping to raise the children. In fact, they were pretty excited about it even before Taayn regaled them with the many benefits of being mom. Kevanru was not raised equal to their siblings or even to their sisters. They had worked very hard to be accepted as they were in their home village & it had never happened in their childhood. So, they did look forward to raising great kaleesh just by accepting & loving them unconditionally. When the first pups began to get old enough to differentiate all these moms, it was the other wives that encouraged them to call Kevanru Kiki’ja instead of the –ma suffix. It wound up they would be called any combination of the suffixes depending on who was calling them for what: Jama, Jamama, Jafa, Majafa (which would be like Momdad).
As Kevanru became more comfortable with the family, they began questioning their sexuality. That wasn’t really something they had put a lot of thought into beforehand. Their new spouses did not put any expectations or pressure on them as far as having children went. They figured they had that covered with, y’know, the 9 other women. Jyada, being Jyada, inadvertently (or purposefully) took every chance to corrupt them, since Kevanru was more curious than anything else about it.
They knew that wives were expected to bear their husband’s children but the way that they had learned this growing up always seemed…like it were a rule. Kevanru wasn’t sure how they felt about being exempt from what they were told was such an integral rule to being kaleeshi.This family was quite open about it & personal preferences about sex varied from wife to wife. Jyada certainly didn’t brag about it as if it were a rule. Grievous, unlike a few husband stereotypes, didn’t expect it but nor did he seem to like putting it on a schedule (which was expected with so many wives). Kevanru asked around about it.
The general consensus was that, cultural duty aside, Grievous was in this to surround himself with emotional support & his sex drive was for fun before purpose. As was not uncommon in some populations, it hadn’t occurred to Kevanru that you could just do that shit for fun & feel goods. They were already very comfortable with all of their spouses, so they then understood how that could be a natural progression. Their husband’s only concern was if they would be comfortable getting pregnant, bc birth control is morally & spiritually illegal on Kalee.
Kevanru put a lot of thought into this, as much thought as Kevanru puts into things. They decided they were okay with this. They had already given all they had as a warrior, so it only made sense to wholly experience being a mother as well. They had always loved their female body; it had been everyone else that had the problem. So hell yeah! Please imagine the hulking Kevanru, with stars in their big pastel eyes, whispering, “Our children could be the greatest warriors ever.” They bore 2 of their own children, ironically and/or awesomely, one boy & one girl.
Kevanru’s unflappable positivity really worked overtime in this family. Especially early on when Taa’yn passed away. Kevanru made sure the triplets were taken care of in the immediate fall out when it was hard for others to handle it. They were always happy to help & quick to hug. Everyone loved them. The children were always enamored with them. Even before Grievous was merc’d, the boys would go to them if they had felt they needed a dad conversation. It wasn’t usually anything troubling, since their family was as progressive as Kalee gets, but society was still so machismo.
When Grievous was exploded, Kevanru was essentially second husband. Well, Mertenzi kept the family running logistically, ever the captain of the ship. Kevanru kept everyone okay. Their last years, as with many Kaleesh warriors, were slow & painful. Their children took reverent care of them. They did a lot of thinking around then, as much as Kevanru did, & concluded Mertenzi was right. Maybe there was just as much glory in withering away surrounded by life you have given as there was being cut down in battle surrounded by lives you had taken.

hello it is me 💙 anon, responding to that one anon who was talking abt how rboo is obviously nd lmao (btw i'm like 99% sure i have adhd i'm just not diagnosed yet, if that's relevant)
"hes THE burnt out gifted kid stereotype 100%" THIS IS SO TRUE! he's the epitome of "i was smart as a kid but now things are hard and i don't know how to handle it" (which hits a little too close to home, ouch), and lemme tell ya, most of my friend group is burnt out former gifted kids and we are all neurodivergent. even if it weren't for the other things he does, that alone gives me hella nd vibes
"also my guy repeats things so much in his speech" yea yea!! he'll say something and then just. say it again. also, there was that one time he kept quoting that line from a curtis conner video ("show me the window" or smth?)? he kept being like "sorry guys idk why i wanna keep saying it, i dunno why it's just really funny" and i was sitting there just like. "mm. vocal stimming."
... that turned into an essay. anyways tl;dr ranboo has Burnt Out Former Gifted Kid Who Is Neurodivergent vibes

There's a lot of things which hit differently when you already watched the film once.
It doesn’t seem to have other children in Luca’s village. So could Alberto be his first friend ever? Could he have only his family, his fishes and other adults while growing up?
Maybe Alberto noticed there was another boy like him and thought "hey I could become his friend! But how are we gonna met?" And then choosing to prank him and give him a heart attack.
Alberto: "I'm definitely hungry."
Of course he is! This boy lives alone and I don't know how he finds food. (What sea creatures eat anyway? Seaweed? Fish?)
Ercole went on hunting sea monsters not because he was afraid or wanting to protect other from this "threat" but because of the prize... All he did in this film was just for making money...
Alberto is left handed! :D
Luca's Bruno tells him about extreme caution and Alberto's Bruno tells him lies about his self worth and self esteem.
Alberto coming with an umbrella to protect Luca from being exposed, then Luca going out under the rain to protect Alberto! <3
Luca gives up going to school to win the Vespa for Alberto and Alberto sells the Vespa so Luca could go to school! I'm é.è
Maybe it's related to be your true self, but I find Alberto more opened emotionally when he's in his sea form. I found it odd that he turns into human pretty quickly, even on the island where nobody can see them. But I think it's because Alberto didn't accept himself already. At the end, Alberto and Luca stay in their sea form after the race, when the city finally accepted them. Another metaphore! (even if it's because it's raining)
The Vespa was more a symbol of freedom and Alberto realised that at the end when he looked at it before joining his friends. He founded his freedom and happiness in people with his friends and a new family than running away from his solitude because it isn't a place.
Luca was Alberto’s exit door of his desert island and Alberto was Luca’s door opened to the world!
It's explained at the beginning of the movie sea monsters are just a myth, a legend, as nobody truly saw one but just sometimes a shadow in the water. I think the myth went stronger when Alberto's dad abandonned him on the island and the boy started to scavenge human objects and being less careful than the other sea folks like Luca's village. (It's Alberto on the picture in the newspaper.) So actually, nobody really killed a sea monster in Porto Rosso. It makes the story more about something you can fear without actually knowing about it, like they think sea monsters eat humans when it's obviously wrong just like other stereotypes about other minorities. So when Massimo realised that these two sea creatures are the boys who lived under his roof, helped him in his work and befriended his daughter and made her happy, he also realised they are not monsters, but just children like the human ones and that all the fairytales about sea monsters were wrong.
I know a lot of people see the "sending into the abyss" as a metaphor for the conversion therapy. As I didn't see it like this (maybe because it doesn't exist (much?) in my country compared to USA maybe), it was pretty dangerous for Luca to go there. We know Daniela wanted to do it to be sure her son will be safe and out of danger. But biologically, fishes from the surface (I mean dozens meters underneath) aren't built to go too deep as the pressure isn't the same. A fish from the abyss could die near the surface because the pressure isn't strong enough to keep them compact. Also, and it's mentioned in the film, there are less oxygene in the abyss just like there is less oxygene high in the mountains. So whenever it was a metaphore for conversation therapy or not, it could still be understood as trying to change your child instead of accepting them could be hurtful for them and for your relation.
I know people ship Alberto, Luca and Giulia together as an OTP3, it feels awkward to me as Alberto and Giulia are now siblings with Massimo adopting Alberto. Personally I also find Giulia and Luca having a sibling bond with Luca living with her and her mother. So while Giulia has an adopted brother and a brother of heart, I find Luberto a cute ship that could happen later :) But you do you! ;)

I rewatch Red shoes and noticed more things:
Since the magical apple tree was first a woman who ate magical apple, could the first one be Snow white’s mother?
King Snow made his daughter escaped by the secret door in the well where he brought Merlin later in the film.
Arthur might have left Merlin behind because he thought he cheated because of the love spell (he didn’t use actually hopefully). But his behaviour could also be because of jealousy and seeing Merlin as a threat to his plan to kiss Red Shoes because of this unfair disadvantage.
After seeing Snow white’s true appearance, Merlin didn’t leave her, he was just looking for more wood to revive the fire. When he talks to himself, he seems more lost and confused about accepting his feelings than Snow White’s appearance. But he did say he prefer Red shoes and his conscious called him an idiot xD
Merlin had more problem with his own appearance than Snow white’s. And he’s the one with insecurities, not Snow. He sees himself as weaker because of his shortness and his spells were weaker too, just like Snow White isn’t as strong anymore. But what was a selfish wish at the beginning blossoms in true love on his side.
But being a green dwarf/troll made him take himself less seriously as he acts more goofy in this appareance. I think falling in love with Snow White made Merlin loves himself and less arrogant. So he was right in a way when he said falling in love with Snow White will make him a better man worthy of her :)
Snow and Merlin are truly equals and save each other. Snow defends the guys from the insults of the guards and then Merlin helps her from them. They both fight against Prince Average and his soldiers. Merlin saves Snow from the wooden monsters and Snow saves him from drowning. They both sacrifice themselves to save each other. Snow breaks his curse and saves him. There are parallels each time!
I also has Beauty and the beast vibes with the princess falling in love for a prince who was turned into a monster to make him grow. You also have a reverse BatB with Arthur and Red Hood.
I just love this film ok! ><

Luca in the future
You know what makes me extremely happy?
Even if the ending is bittersweet for the moment, we can imagine what their future would be for the three of them?
Yes, Luca will go to school and learn a lot of new things and can infodropping Alberto on the phone and during the summer. Maybe he would become a researcher in the astronomy.
But Alberto? This boy begins the film all alone in a desert island, thinking he didn't deserve to be loved because his father abandonned him. At the end of the film, he has a new father and a sister. And later, when he'll marry Luca (maybe sea folks weren't as homophobic as humans in that time), he will have an even bigger family and a loving husband.
For Giulia? At the beginning, she didn't have any friend, at Portorosso or maybe even at her school. But at the end, she has a new brother and a best friend. She won't spend any of her time (in Portorosso or in Genova) alone. And when Luca and Alberto will go out together/get married, she will have a new brother (in law)!

Car Ride (The Horror of Stereotypes Universe)
Fandom: Sanders Sides
Relationships: Remus & Roman Logan/Patton/Remus
Characters: Remus, Roman (Logan and Patton are there by sleeping)
Summary: In the aftermath of The Horror of Stereotypes, Remus and Roman share a quick moment.
Notes: Soulmate AU, Prejudice, Dystopian, bullet wounds mentioned, implied torture
This was a requested fic for my 7th BINGO.
Logan eventually fell asleep with Patton on top of him leaving Remus alone with his thoughts while driving west as instructed. He reached forward to turn on the radio, making sure to turn the sound down low as to not to wake anyone. He was exhausted and his arm was starting to ache where he’d been shot, but he didn’t mind being the one to drive. Patton and Roman definitely deserved sleep, and Patton deserved to use Logan as a pillow to his heart’s content considering everything the two had gone through in the past few days.
He drove for a little more than an hour before Roman started to stir a bit from his position with his head against the window. Remus saw him sit up slowly and look around himself.
“Does it always have to be honky-tonk music?” Roman asked. He kept his voice down in consideration for the two sleeping in the back.
“Driver’s choice,” Remus sing songed.
“Ugh.” Roman turned around in his seat and carefully grabbed the bag of snack food and drinks near Logan’s legs. “Want something?”
“Water,” Remus said. Roman uncapped it for him and handed it to him while taking a bite of a twinkie. “We’re probably going to have to stop somewhere to piss and get gas soon,” Remus noted, putting his water bottle in the cup holder.
“…Right,” Roman didn’t seem too enthusiastic about that idea, not the Remus blamed him. This car felt safe. The four of them were alone with people they knew they faced no danger from even though Remus had known Logan only a few days and Patton even less. Yet, they couldn’t stay in this car forever. They’d have to face the outside world again, the outside world that had demonstrated that it wanted them all dead in excruciating detail over the past few days. “Hey,” Roman said softly, punching him gently in the arm.
Remus noticed he’d been gripping the steering wheel too hard and lightened up. “Sorry,” he said. “It’s been a long few days.”
“And you’re tired.”
“And that.”
“I could drive a bit,” Roman offered.
Remus glanced over at him. “Ah, Princey, I know you got a wittle nap, but both of us know that’s nowhere near enough beauty sleep for your ugly mug.”
“We have the same face.”
“But I wear it so much sexier.”
Roman shook his head. “No, seriously, I can drive. It was… a rough time, but I was just in gen pop. It wasn’t like…” his eyes drifted towards the back seat.
“It was still…”
“Yeah.” There was silence for a moment, and then Roman leaned slightly to the side to bop his head into Remus’s shoulder. “Thank you for coming to get me, you actual mad man.”
“What? Was I just supposed to leave you there?” Remus asked. “Who would I steal make-up from and torture by reading badly written smut fanfiction to at 2 o’clock in the morning without you?”
Roman laughed, the vibration from it traveling up Remus’s shoulder. “Still. You’re an absolute fool.”
“I got you out, didn’t I?”
“I’ve known him for less then five hours, and I know that Logan came up with 99% of your plan.”
“It’s true, but you don’t have to say it.”
Roman sat up and took another bite of his snack. “Maybe between the two of us, we might get you not to do absolutely stupid hijinks literally every second of every day.”
“Fat chance. I can already tell Patton’s going to be down for my hijinks, and he’s a lot cuter than I am.”
“Not a high bar, but I get your point.”
Remus felt some weight lift off his shoulders that he hadn’t even realized was there. “Yeah, ugly ass, want to go there?”

Sen Çal Kapımı Episode 15 aka Soulmates
I know it's never taken me this long to gather my thoughts on a new SCK episode. But as I mentioned in my previous post Mike Flanagan's shows happened to me 😭😩😱
However, I also think it's because I had some mixed feelings regarding the episode. I guess while I was trying to watch it live (trying being the operative word here) the problems with the live stream influenced my overall first impression. I wasn't able to watch a good chunk of the episode and, of course, it got me annoyed and that, I guess, mixed up with my feelings about the episode. But after having rewatched it with subtitles I have a full and clear picture.
All in all it was a nice episode, very light compared to a much heavier angst of earlier episodes. I liked that light-hearted moments and humour were back. It was also a shorter episode which served it well. However, it felt a lot like a filler episode which, in my opinion, did nothing to move the story forward.
The things I loved / liked:
☑️ Eda: she was a true star ⭐ (ahah, pun intended) and the main highlight of the episode for me;
as a woman I was so proud to see her handle this situation with such strength, dignity and self-respect;
unfortunately, despite the old gender stereotypes slowly dying out, despite the fact that women are becoming more and more independent and aware of their value, we are still often portrayed as a weaker sex; I am not talking about physical strength, of course;
we are the ones left, we are the ones who suffer, we are made to love men with everything we have, we build our whole lives around them, we let our world revolve around them... so, when they leave or we lose them for any other reason - it's the end, everything falls apart, we fall apart; I am so sick of still seeing it on screen; that's why I freaking LOVED seeing Eda not fall apart, or at least she didn't fall apart for long;
I loved that she allowed herself to grieve, to cry, to be angry and to express this anger straight to Serkan's face; I think we saw Eda go through her own 5 stages of grief; but she didn't let depression take away more than one night of her life;
I love that Eda found out that Ayfer had contacted the grandma and, while her reaction might have been a bit too emotional (which is actually normal and understandable given she's still hurting after having had her heart broken and stamped on), I really enjoyed Eda protecting her personal boundaries and basically saying to stay the *uck out of her life - you go, girl!👏💪😎
I enjoyed the way Eda handled herself at the office and how she behaved around Serkan; she wasn't stealing lovesick glances at him or just brooding, she wasn't overly hostile, she wasn't running away;
oh, and when Seyfi brought that box, how she handled that - a standing ovation👏👏👏, everyone bow down to my Queen! 👑👸
speaking of that box where Serkan asked Seyfi to gather all of Eda's things, how he ordered to put away all her gifts - as Eda put it "he's trying to get rid of any trace of me"; in a way she's right; Serkan is trying to get rid of everything that could remind him of her and their shared moments but we know it's not because he doesn't love her (like Eda thinks), it's because he does and it's too much for him; and it's such a contrast to Eda who actually said to the girls that she wouldn't throw away or burn or whatever any of Serkan's gifts or other things that remind her of him and them, she openly said that she's not the one to run away from the memories; and it was so powerful - seeing the writers make a woman so undeniably stronger than a man👌👏
I also liked Eda around Efe, there wasn't anything romantic, I think it was completely professional and it didn't feel or look (at least to me) like Eda was trying to use Efe for petty reasons like make Serkan jealous (but of course our boy was jelly nonetheless 👽😁)
the little moment with Aydan: it was nice to see Aydan trying to comfort Eda (I guess she earned a few points for that) and I really liked the message she was trying to deliver - you can find love and happiness again;
I loved seeing Eda take that in, accept the message, agree that she will be ok one day; and I also liked seeing her not accept Aydan's support which felt a little bit like pity; Eda didn't want to be pitied and she said what she thought to Aydan's face; was it a little harsh? maybe, yes; but I understand where it came from and, given how insensitive, hostile, rude Aydan had been towards Eda in the past, Eda not really buying this whole support thing is pretty understandable;
☑️ Edser: whatever state these two are in - deliriously in love, flirty, pissed off, annoyed, lovesick, heartbroken - if they're together on screen it's always glorious;
do I like seeing them angsty and heartbroken? of course NOT! but the longing between them is SO GOOD!😍🤩
I loved that they introduced this soulmate theme; it wasn't there front and center but rather woven subtly through the episode: first, of course, pretty openly stated at the very beginning of the episode, in the parallel conversations Eda / the girls and Serkan / Engin; then symmetrically at the very end of the episode - the papers with the names of the drivers for the race, then Serkan being the one to notice Eda's absence, him just feeling her and being led by his heart until he found her - not bad for an emotionless robot, huh?😏😉
THE RINGS!😍😍 glad that they brought Eda's💍ring back into the picture; she demonstratively put it on the middle finger of her right hand; obviously she did it on purpose, she even explained the reason behind this decision - from now on it will serve as a reminder what kind of person Serkan Bolat is; but of course I think there's something deeper at play here; Eda could have easily put the ring on her left hand but she went with her right hand instead, with the middle finger which is so close to where it used to be, where an engagement ring should be - on her ring finger; so I think it's also a way for Eda to be closer to Serkan, it's almost like a phantom of what they used to have as well as of all the things they won't have... I am also 99% sure I am overthinking here and the intentions of writers were much simpler 🙈😆
anyway, I loved that Eda and Serkan both noticed and pointed out aloud that the other was wearing their ring; also Serkan's reasoning "to keep other women away" - why don't you tattoo "I am the property of Eda Yıldız" on your forehead, mister?👀🙈😆 could he be any more obvious?
the coffee scene was priceless 🤣🤣🤣 Serkan was so damn confident that Eda poured that cup for him and then him mumbling "for Efe" under his breath... like an offended child 🙈😆
them fighting looked a lot like flirting and the electricity⚡generated during their arguments could easily power their whole office building - I am sure;
the car ride to the presentation and that presentation itself - while I didn't entirely enjoy it and how controlling Serkan was I cannot help but admire the way his mind works; I also think he was doing it for Eda, it was his way of supporting and looking out for her without being too obvious; this way they also get to work together and even if it's just for work he will be closer to her;
Serkan showing up at that sport motivation thing like a boss 😎 and shamelessly checking Eda out 😏 I mean, was he aware there were other people around? and how is it possible that Eda was still buying the emotionless robot crap? the emotions the guy was looking at her with were enough to melt the glaciers 🔥🥵
and finally - that moment at the sea when Eda told Serkan that he wouldn't have apologized if he hadn't feared for his life; his immediate response was that it wasn't about that, "what if something had happened to you?"; when Eda answered with "Does it matter?" I swear I thought Serkan was gonna take her by the shoulders and shake her;
that jaw tick? man, he was pissed 😤
at Eda - for saying something like that, for being so careless with her life;
at himself - for allowing her to think that it wouldn't absolutely destroy him if something were to happen to her;
but the moment Eda left all anger left him and Serkan just looked... defeated;
☑️ Eda and Efe: might be an unpopular opinion but I actually liked their dynamic in episode 15; as I have already mentioned I didn't see or feel anything romantic and while I still don't trust Efe (him being from Mardin - a coincidence? nope, don't think so🧐) I liked how supportive he was with Eda; I think she needed that push to get back to work; okay, there is very likely some ulterior motive here but at least in this episode he seemed pretty genuine and it didn't look like he was using Eda; he wasn't provoking Serkan that much either;
☑️ Selin and Serkan: a short scene with the two of them in Serkan's office and Selin's reaction to Serkan and Eda's breakup; maybe to someone it may seem too strong but I actually liked Selin calling Serkan out on it like that; honestly I half expected her to find excuses for his behaviour;
☑️ Engin: keeps being a loyal friend who doesn't just offer silent support; I like how he always tries to reason with Serkan, doesn't shy away from telling him unpleasant truth;
glad he was there for Serkan at the very beginning of the episode;
loved how he checked on Serkan at the office and then tried to convince our RoBo that it's ok to not be ok and maybe take a vacation;
then the exchange:
Engin: "So, out of sight, out of mind?"
Serkan: "Exactly"
Engin (spotting Eda coming into the office with Efe): "Interesting how that's gonna work out for you" - interesting indeed 🙈😆;
Things I didn't like / was annoyed with:
❎ Serkan: yes, my baby boy made it into this category - there's first time for everything 🙈😆
just to be clear - he is still my cupcake and I love him dearly but here's the thing: we don't always like those we love;
I think in episode 15 Serkan was controlling and childish; and I completely understand where these tendencies come from but it doesn't mean I am gonna turn a blind eye on this or try to justify his behaviour;
that "Efe left but Serkan is here" scene was intented to be funny and endearing I guess but it was highly manipulative; and when during the car ride Serkan commented on Eda behaving like a teenager I was like "excuse me?! have you met yourself, mister?!" because that manipulation to make Eda go with him was worthy of a 12-year-old 🤨;
❎ Selin: when is she not annoying?🤔 while I liked that she didn't take Serkan's side and called him out on his change of heart, unfortunately, she still managed to make it about herself; it never fails to amaze me how selfish and self-centred this character is;
❎ Alptekin: what a poor excuse of a father and a man he is... almost feel sorry for him;
don't apologize on behalf of your son - he's a grown ass man who is capable of speaking for himself;
apologize for yourself, your mistakes and if you're not ready - then don't go to Ayfer just to make yourself feel better 😤😡;
❎ that almost copy-paste from Erkenci Kuş at the end:
getting lost and falling down into a pit in the forest? been there, done that in EK episode 19;
okay, we had beautiful sea views and they placed it at the end to add more suspense but all in all it was awfully similar and also kinda came out of nowhere;
after that emotional scene between Eda and Serkan we were whooshed into "Eda is not here, let's go find her"; I have no problem with the absence of the moment where she actually fell into that pit - wasn't that necessary - but a scene that could have served as a building block to this would have been good - show Eda going for that walk.
And... that's pretty much it.
Gonna get down to episode 16 now

I know "blah blah, fanfic can do whatever" but I hate how 99% of fic portrays druids and emissaries, cuz it's a glaring white power fantasy. Deaton is demonized for "not doing his job" whatever that means. Being a druid or emissary for Deaton and Morrell means they must be obedient slaves to white packs. But Druid!Emissary!Stiles can do whatever he wants, have a social life, whatever. He can literally practice evil blood magic but it's Deaton who's shady and nefarious
The way druids were portrayed on the show versus how they're portrayed in fandom is so different that one would be forgiven for wondering if the latter was in any way based on the former.
I'll be the first to admit, I was curious about Deaton and his skills since the first season (and then Morrell once she was introduced) because of how mysterious they were kept. Even more so when we found out about the Druids because I'm a huge fan of humans and magic and witchcraft. And one of the things I was absolutely fascinated by was this show's down-to-earth approach to the supernatural. The werecreatures were all based around biology (for the most part) and most of it wasn't over-the-top and flashy like you'd see in other supernatural themed shows (like Supernatural or Buffy the Vampire Slayer of True Blood). With exceptions, of course, such as the
In particular I liked that the Druids didn't have all these supernatural powers. Instead of having them flying around shooting fireballs from their eyes, their skills were based on their intuition and wisdom, on things like medicine and psychology. It was a nice change of pace from what this particular genre loves to throw out there, and I thought that it worked really well within the confines of this mythos. Where all these supernatural creatures are battling it out, trying to constantly one-up each other, the Druids were on the sidelines, trying to keep the balance. They weren't overly powerful, so they didn't get directly involved, instead offering their wisdom to those who wanted it, as opposed to just giving their opinions unprompted.
I think that's where a lot of people in the fandom had a hard time relating to the Druids. Their neutrality. They didn't get involved unless asked, and even then they only offered advice rather than taking the situation into their own hands, enforcing their rule on others. Its the difference between knowledge and wisdom, and it's also why I think Deaton worked so well with Scott and his Pack. Scott was physically incapable of sitting by and letting bad things happen, especially if there was something he could do about it. Meanwhile, Deaton offered his advice without hovering, with controlling, letting Scott fall and pick himself up and grow along the way.
I actually have a whole headcanon of the Hunters being an offshoot of the Druids, taking a more direct approach to the conflicts of werewolves and the damage they caused (whether deliberately or not) to the world around them.
To get back to your point, most fans completely forget that the Druids were advisors and healers, not conquerors, not enforcers. And I'm sure the fact that the only two Druids we had on the show were black didn't help fandom views on the situation.
People look at these two and see the Magical Negro trope, rather akin to Bonnie Bennett on The Vampire Diaries, someone there simply to help the white heroes as needed and then disappear like the good little servants they're supposed to be. They look at a situation where they couldn't just stand by and let bad things happen (totally understandable) and judge these two characters for taking their time to assess the situation before making any kind of move.
Fandom looks at Deaton and Morrell and judges them because they're not acting the way modern media tells us they should be acting in this particular scenario. Instead, fandom wants them to be more like Jennifer Blake.
Fandom wants the badass witch stereotype who throws their power around, consequences be damned, not ever acknowledging that its this "Act First, Think Later" way of doing things that caused almost every problem in the show.
To make matters worse, they look at Jennifer and see the epitome of what a Druid should be, ignoring the fact that she's no longer a Druid. Why she turned into a Darach is understandable, given her circumstances, but everyone forgets that to have that power, she murdered twelve innocent people. She didn't grow into that power, she stole it by sacrificing those around her. Y'know, for all of 3As problems, it did a nice job of showcasing the parallels between Jennifer and Deucalion. They were both people who achieved their extreme power by violating the natural order and committing murder. Its a shame they didn't focus on that more.
Bottom line is, as you said, if and when the fandom turns to the concept of Druids for fic, usually to give Stiles a power boost, they use it solely as a white power fantasy. They completely ignore everything about the Druids that made them interesting in canon, and completely demonize Deaton and Morrell in the process.
But its not racism, right?
I'm not gonna lie, the Druids were one of my favorite parts of this shows mythology. Its just a shame more people didn't appreciate them for what they were as opposed to what they thought they should be.

Am I exploiting my dog?
Yesterday I asked @severelynerdysheep if I'm exploiting my dog by having him as an assistance dog in training (assistance dog is the legal UK term for service dog), and they linked me to this article.
It's an incredibly bad piece. Let's go through it.
"Firstly, it should be obvious to most observers that many service animals are being harmed. Police canine units and military animals are often intentionally cruelly treated as part of the training process"
'Service animal' is not a term interchangeable with 'working dog'. These are not service animals and irrelevant to the discussion. Though, for the record, police and military dogs just shouldn't be a thing and their training is garbage.
"The question of exploitation and harm is more nuanced when it comes to service animals used to assist those with disabilities, such as emotional support animals or guide dogs for the blind."
Really, those are the two examples you're going for? Emotional support animals are NOT service animals, and do not need to have any kind of special training that a pet wouldn't have, or perform any tasks outside of their presence being a comfort. Lumping them together does a huge disservice to disabled people, and it's an extremely common misconception by people who know very little about actual service work.
Only mentioning guide dogs for the blind also isn't great, because it's the only kind a lot of ableist people know about and recognise, which means a lot of handlers get told we don't really need our dogs, because we aren't blind. You had an opportunity to actually bring up the amazing diversity of service dogs here (autism dogs, psychiatric service dogs, Medical alert dogs, etc) and educate people, but instead reinforced misconceptions and stereotypes.
"These animals are not usually subjected to stressors which any ordinary companion animal wouldn’t be"
This is not exactly true. Service dogs deal with many situations and environments ordinary pets don't, of course. But you cannot define for a dog what they should perceive as a 'stressor', anymore than you can decide what a dog should or shouldn't find aversive. Many dogs find loud noises stressful and aversive. Mine, as a service dog in training, does not, and hasn't ever, since he comes from a line of working dogs bred to be very 'gunsteady', which means hunting dogs who wouldn't be scared of the loud sound of a gunshot.
If a service dog finds these things stressful, they'll wash out and not be one anymore.
"these animals are still being exploited for human gain, they are bred, raised and trained solely for human benefit."
And we come back to the central idea of exploitation. I just don't get it. It's like these people can't imagine building a mutualistic relationship with a dog, based on trust, where you work as a team. Where the dog also benefits.
What do they think our day to day looks like? What exactly is exploitative about it?
"As for whether or not these animals would be better off were they not service animals, this is something of a moot point, since these animals are bred specifically for the purpose of being service animals."
Actually mostly they are not! Program breeding, where the whole litter is bred for a specific organization and all puppies are expected to be service dog prospects, is quite rare and very much not how most disabled people get their prospects.
It's a lot more common for good breeders with breeds and lines suitable for service work to place some puppies from each litter as prospects, if they seem to have the temperament for it.
As an example, my dog's breeder does not breed exclusively service dogs at all. They are working line poodles, and in my dog's litter there was a lot of variety! - Another one of them also went to service work, I believe two went into dog sport homes, another one into a dog conformation home, and the rest went to pet homes, all depending on their individual traits and what they would be happiest as.
"Service animals are currently very rarely drawn from rescue populations, but this seems like an obvious way to solve a lot of the ethical issues involved with using service animals."
Fun fact, I tried talking to a few rescues, including breed specific rescues, for a few months after I decided I needed a service dog myself. It was my first option.
They all ended up turning me away, saying the same thing. Their dogs had their own difficulties to work through, and the chances of being successful with this training are extremely low. 99% of them simply aren't suitable.
Proper service dog training takes about 3 years. Here you're asking disabled people to adopt dogs with unknown genetics and spend incredible amounts of money and time for a huge chance of failure. It's cruel and dismissive.
Even in the cases where rescue dogs have successfully become service dogs (which of course still happens), they often have a very short working life, because they haven't been bred responsibly and with all the proper health clearances, which leaves them at risk of serious health issues and early death.
"There are groups mounting pressure to only train rescued animals, contrary to popular belief, many breeds of animals are capable of being guide dogs or emotional support animals, and since many dogs in shelters are still young there is little reason to resort to irresponsible breeding practices to fulfil the demand for service animals."
If you want rescue only service animals, you literally don't give a shit about disabled people. We are acceptable casualties to you. What we actually need from our partnership with our dogs is secondary to your ideology here.
Rescue dogs can be excellent emotional support animals, I'll agree there. Because as I said, they aren't service dogs and they don't need any especial training. They are still pets.
They most often cannot be service dogs. Even if they are young, temperament in dogs has a huge genetic component. Dogs that end up in rescues are not responsibly bred (a responsible good breeder will take any dog they produced back at any time, and stays as a secondary contact in the dog's microchip in case they do end up in a rescue somehow), and their unknown genetics not only can cause issues with their temperament and health that makes them unsuitable for work, but also often mean they are not a representative example of the breed and do not show the usual traits that make that breed successful at service work when bred reputably.
Adult temperament does not fully develop until a dog is +3 years old. This means you could do everything right with a young rescue dog, only for them to develop dog reactivity or aggression once they fully grow up.
It is simply not fair to ask every disabled person who needs a service dog to put years of their life into this process while stacking the cards against them like this.
Actual good responsible breeders absolutely exist. They do right by their dogs and work their asses off to bring healthy, sound dogs into this world. No one is talking about irresponsible breeders here.
All of their arguments recap into this:
"1) The animal was not specifically bred for purpose and is a rescued animal.
2) The animal must be treated as a companion rather than a worker, and as such must be properly retired with a loving family once they can no longer work.
3) Animals should not be placed under any stress or put in danger.
4) There should be no viable alternative for the use of service animals."
1) Again, they usually aren't specifically bred, certain lines have a few puppies from each litter that have service work as the best fit for them.
2) Of course they are companions. We're a team. Of course they deserve a happy loving retirement.
3) You cannot avoid all stressors, that's life. Low levels of stress to be overcome actually help dogs build their confidence. Obviously none of us want our dogs in any danger.
4) if you think the stipulations you've presented for service dogs are sufficient to fullfil disable people's needs, I'd love to know what you consider to be a 'viable alternative', because something tells me it ain't gonna be good either.
"An example of this might be a therapy dog who has come from a rescue center as a young dog, and would probably otherwise have been killed."
Most places do not have an overpopulation problem so big they're killing young dogs at rescues. The UK sure doesn't. Young dogs get adopted extremely fast.
Also, a therapy dog is NOT a service dog. You cannot keep using these terms interchangeably and expect me to take your opinion on service dogs seriously.
A therapy dog is simply a pet as well, with a general calm and friendly temperament, that volunteers with their owner to meet and cheer up people. It's a completely different thing with different standards. Many rescue dogs can indeed be excellent therapy dogs!
"We do not have to deny that animal use is exploitation in order to justify service animals in some scenarios. Yes, service animals are being taken advantage of"
Still would love to hear how exactly I'm taking advantage of my dog, or what the alternative 'living with a dog without taking advantage of them' looks like.
"We are seeing some advancements in robotics which look promising as a replacement for service animals, so this may become a non-issue in the not too distance future."
Imagine complaining we're the ones not treating service dogs as living individuals but thinking they can be fully replaced by robots. Amazing.
"Regardless of your viewpoint on this, no negative judgement should ever be placed upon the people who require the use of service animals in order to function, it is not their fault that this is the option that has been given to them, and no one who relies on a service animal should be made to feel bad because of it."
You can say this as much as you want, but it's absurd. You're 100% being extremely ableist and asking disabled people to do things in the most costly, effort and time consuming way to fit in with a morality position which is clearly been developed with no real accurate knowledge of service dog work or training.
Plenty of us have chosen this option with full understanding of what it means, it hasn't been 'given to us'. Don't go 'oh the poor disableds don't know any better tho' like it absolves you of all the shitty things you've just said about us and our dogs.
Anyway I said my piece. Have a cute pic of my dog Kovacs, assistance dog in training for my Autism and CPTSD, currently almost two years old and living his best puppy life. I had to stop writing this for a little while many times because he demanded pets.

My Quarantine Watchlist
hello! i hope this post finds you in good health. today i decided to go a little out of my category of what i usually post and make a movie watchlist. if you haven’t seen what i usually repost, i’m a huge movie buff, and are always adding new films to my watchlist. (you should add me on letterboxd! same username.) so, i compiled a list of my top 10 movies. some of them aren’t considered to be critically acclaimed, but they are still comforting and happy, especially during this rough time we are having. i hope you give these a try, and let me know what you think! disclaimer: i am not a movie expert! some terminology i use is definitely not correct lol.
1. rocketman - dir. dexter fletcher, 89%
this movie really means so much to me, it’s definitely one of my absolute favorites. taron egerton does an absolutely amazing job as elton john, not just through his performance but his through his singing. yes, he sings the music as well! the music is also perfectly placed throughout the movie to tell the story of elton john’s life.
synopsis: pretty self explanatory; a musical fantasy about the life of elton john.
2. onward - dir. dan scanlon - 87%
really awesome pixar movie! definitely a great movie for anyone who is a fan of animation, some of the most beautifully animated scenes i have ever seen! i guess that’s just pixar for you.
synopsis: a teenage elf ian lightfoot and his brother barley are given a spell to bring their late father back to life, but when they mess up the first time, they have to go on a quest to find a phoenix gem to bring him back.
3. eddie the eagle - dir. dexter fletcher - 82%
another masterpiece by the dexter fletcher and taron egerton! this is my favorite movie of all time. it’s so heartwarming and motivating, it’s a great pick-me-up film for when i’m feeling down. taron egerton is definitely a chameleon actor, and can slip into any role with ease! him and hugh jackman have such great chemistry, and this movie easily displays that.
synopsis: based on a true story, olympics-bound eddie edwards trains for the winter olympics as a ski jumper, one of the most dangerous sports in the world, with help from his drunken “coach,” bronson peary.
4. lady bird - dir. greta gerwig - 99%
ugh. this movie. i can’t! when i first watched it it left me speechless. it’s an outstanding coming-of-age film, and a great mother-daughter film as well. christine and her mom’s relationship is hilariously heartwarming. another touch i love is the grainy filter throughout the movie. it was a great touch to add an early 2000′s feel! saoirse ronan’s performance was extraordinary. everything about this movie is 10/10, and i cannot recommend this movie enough, especially to teenagers heading off the college.
synopsis: marion mcpherson, a nurse, works tirelessly to keep her family afloat after her husband loses his job. she also maintains a turbulent bond with a teenage daughter who is just like her: loving, strong-willed and deeply opinionated.
5. love, simon - greg berlanti - 92%
love, simon is a perfectly made film to demonstrate the experience of coming out as a gay teen. it’s funny and witty, with some heart-warming yet heart-wrenching drama. i can’t explain it, but this movie makes me feel things i didn’t think i could feel. nick robinson is a great actor, and this movie got paid dust!! by everyone!!
synopsis: everyone deserves a great love story, but for 17-year-old simon spier, it’s a little more complicated. he hasn’t told his family or friends he’s gay, and he doesn’t know the identity of the anonymous classmate that he’s fallen for online. resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying, and life-changing.
6. jojo rabbit - dir. taika watiti - 80%
when i first saw this movie in the theater, i wasn’t sure if i was going to like it. i’m not a fan of war movies and violence, so i was a little uneasy. turns out this could possibly be one of the best movies of 2019! roman griffin davis is the best child actor i’ve ever seen. this movie is a wonderful depiction of anti-hate, and of what life was like for germany during world war II. it shows in a funny way how silly nazi views are. it creates humor over such a sensitive subject, yet you don’t feel bad for laughing!
synopsis: a world war II satire that follows a lonely german boy whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother is hiding a young jewish girl in their attic. aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, adolf hitler, jojo must confront his blind nationalism.
7. little women - dir. greta gerwig - 95%
greta gerwig strikes again! she literally has never made a bad movie. this movie is based off of the famous novel little women. it has a star studded cast of timothee chalament, saoirse ronan, florence pugh, emma watson, and laura dern. the power of women!!
synopsis: in the years after the civil war, jo march lives in new york and makes her living as a writer, while her sister amy studies painting in paris. amy has a chance encounter with theodore, a childhood crush who proposed to jo but was ultimately rejected. their oldest sibling, meg, is married to a schoolteacher, while shy sister beth develops a devastating illness that brings the family back together.
8. the greatest showman - dir. michael gracey - 56%
my favorite original musical movie. hugh jackman is such an amazing singer and actor! this movie was one of the first movies that really turned me into a true film admirer. the music has some of the most beautifully written lyrics i know, and it’s a great family movie! it’s intense, yet happy, yet sad, yet exciting, yet every single emotion one person could feel.
synopsis: growing up in the early 1800s, p.t. barnum displays a natural talent for publicly and promotion, selling lottery tickets by age 12. after trying his hands at various jobs, p.t. turns to show business to indulge his limitless imagination, rising form nothing to create the barnum & bailey circus.
9. bohemian rhapsody - dir. bryan singer - 60%
although it may have it’s inaccuracies here and there, this movie is still heartwarming and conveys a heartwarming message and moral. rami malek performs as freddie mercury wonderfully, and the chemistry between the cast is indescribable. and what takes the cake? the live-aid re-enactment at the end of the movie, with the band’s mannerisms and everything recreated to the t.
synopsis: freddie mercury - lead singer of queen - defies stereotypes and convention to become one of history’s most beloved entertainers. the band’s revolutionary sound and popular songs lead to queen’s meteoric rise in the 1970s. after leaving the group to pursue a solo career, mercury reunites with queen for the benefit concert live aid - resulting in one of the greatest performances in rock ‘n’ roll history.
10. anchorman - dir. adam mckay - 66%
my favorite comedy of all time. will ferrell, steve carrell, and paul rudd are all my favorite comedians, so this movie speaks to me. it’s hilariously stupid, but i still love it and recommend it to everyone i know.
synopsis: hotshot television anchorman ron burgandy welcomes upstart reporter veronica corningstone into the male-dominated world of 1970s broadcast news - that is, until the talented female journalist begins to outshine burgandy on air.

*tiptoes in* . . . Nox Verse, Wings AU? or a different verse, if you like, but Wings AU plz?
Ohhhhhh.
Ohhhhhhhhh okay I have.
Little to no experience with Wings AUs or what tropes people usually put in them but I do love the concept of Humans With Wings so okay-
Same rules as Nox!Taur verse, Nox came from a canon timeline where wings were not a thing, he and Ardyn got flung into an alternate timeline where wings were a Thing, proceeded to freak out over WINGS ON THEIR BACKS WHAT IN THE WORLD.
Also gonna make Ardyn a Fem!Ardyn in this AU just like Taur verse because that amuses me.
Everyone has bird-like/feathered wings of some kind and what animal they most resemble is often considered a hint to personality but that’s just- stereotyping nonsense really. Anyway, species of wing varies even in families, but tend to run along similar lines. Birds of Prey will often have Birds of Prey kids, but if the parent is an eagle, the kid can just as easily be an owl or a falcon as they might be an eagle etc etc. Wing culture is ... a Thing. Like not touching wings without permission, grooming being a Major Family or Romantic Bonding experience and flying is also totally a Thing.
Ardyn and Nox, understandably, give more than a few people heart attacks over how poorly they care for their wings and Cid takes it into his head to FIX that asap after meeting first Nox and then Ardyn. He is ... more than a little flabbergasted when both are just like “show us how it’s done” because that means- touching their wings. They trust him like that? They ... no. No they probably are idiots and don’t get the significance so he will TEACH them that but also Cid is an Emotion when they still let him touch their wings after his explanation on Wing Things.
Ardyn and Nox are just super grateful to have someone who will explain his stuff because Galahd wing culture is a little different so Axis is not much help and Dave never thought he had to say anything.
The royal line are almost exclusively birds of prey but there are some exceptions. Usually the big ones like eagles and stuff but sometimes hawks or even vultures (Mors was a vulture btw). Regis is a golden eagle. Clarus is also a golden eagle while Gladio is a bald eagle and Iris is an outlier as a red-tailed hawk. Cid is a house sparrow, Cindy is a pretty warbler of some kind. Weskham was a Canadian goose. Ignis is a chickadee because they’re pretty and Prompto is a fluffy burrowing owl.
Cor is the world’s most aggressive and Fite Me™ barn swallow.
Mock his wings and you will be Stabbed™. He is faster and more maneuverable than anyone here barring the incredibly rare hummingbird.
Then you have. Nox. And Ardyn.
Ardyn and Nox are both owls.
This is ... extremely unusual, as no Lucis Caelum in this AU has ever been an Owl. Not in recorded history at least. Eagles, Falcons, Kites, Hawks, even Vultures, but never Owls. Considering the night’s association with daemons, owls are even looked at with some suspicion in certain places, considering owls are also nocturnal creatures.
Ardyn laughs quietly as she tends her tawny, red, white, and black speckled plumage of a barn owl. She finds it funny. Nox’s wings are especially amusing to her.
Nox is a snowy owl. Silky white feathers with black specks in them, the one owl that is known to go about in the day, yet is still associated with the night because of all its night-flying kin. She suspects that their wings are a subtle message, especially after learning that young Prince Noctis of this world is not an owl, but a speedy and pretty merlin (I think they’re called pigeon hawk in North America?).
Stuff goes down ... kinda like canon Nox verse? But during the marilith raid Nox actually doesn’t warp Noctis away, instead getting there early enough to save Noctis’s wings and back and picking a fight with the Marilith, so Regis shows up, freaking out from the attack AND Cid’s phone call moments earlier to see the Marilith getting torn apart by an absolutely FURIOUS stranger. A teenager with massive, bristling wings of a snowy owl and glitter eerie white-orange colors in the firelight only to turn eerie blue-white as they reflect the light of-.
An armiger.
A powerful, complete, deadly armiger that is NOT Regis’s and cannot be Noctis’s because his son is huddled there in the arms of his wide-eyed nanny, watching the teenager stranger tear the daemon apart with magic that feels thick as a tidal wave and all but screams fury-fury-don’t-touch-MINE-DON’T-TOUCH-.
The marilith dies and teen stands there breathing hard, wings mantled and fluffed, armiger spinning around him in deadly circles.
Then Regis reaches out and touches his magic to the stranger’s in awe-shock-disbelief-hope-confusion and-
The teen looks at him with blue-blue eyes and Regis has just enough time to see his own features in a younger face, to see that face crumple with something like fear and hurt and longing denied while the heavy magic tangling with Regis’s SCREAMS a mix of love and fear and loss and hurt and longing-
The teen disappears and snap-crack of a warp.
Anyway Regis investigates because of course he does and he drops in to visit Cid without calling ahead because of Cid’s earlier phone call and finds one fluffy and worried Ardyn Izunia pacing in the kitchen of Cid’s home.
Much shouting happens.
The shouting wakes up Nox, who manages to drag himself out of bed long enough to bowl Regis and Co over with angry magic before passing out on the floor, which leads to an EVEN MORE UPSET Ardyn.
And then everything kinda goes to Nox verse canon with Nox waking up in the Citadel and Ardyn being there and Noctis being adorable as he talks them into staying.
Some other thoughts on a wing-fic AU:
Nyx is a lesser striped swallow.
Btw human wings are not nearly as confined in color/plumage as the birds they take after, with human boys and girls often getting the colorful plumage where the Actual Birds are much more rigid in who gets the pretty feathers or not. No one knows why. The only people who care are the taxonomists.
Lib is a blue heron.
Tredd is a northern cardinal (and proud of it, most Furia’s aren’t northern cardinals but rather other small birds but oh boy does Tredd love having red wings to go with his red hair. Luche is a Sigh). Luche is a woodpecker of some kind. Axis is a falconet.
Pelna is a grouse of some kind.
Titus is a harpy eagle.
Crowe is not a crow, Crowe is a magpie. Anyone who cracks a joke about that will get their nose broken.
Emperor Aldercapt is a cassowary. Because I Said So.
Oracles are like- Owls almost exclusively. No one knows why. It is thought that the first Oracle Aera was actually a swan, but 99% of Oracles are owls (am I totally making a hint that the original Ardyn of this dimension had a kid with Aera who went on to be the founder of the Oracle line after Aera was murdered and the wings were the Astrals tweaking things to be a permanent, silent reminder of Somnus’s sin in killing the first Oracle? Yes. Yes I am). Of course there are OTHER people out there with owl wings, but Oracles are the ones who just- keep having owl wings, no matter who marries into their line.
Luna is the first tawny colored Eastern Barn Owl in the line in a long time as most Oracles are True Owls (so like- Screech Owls, Great Grey Owls, Horned Owls, etc etc).
Ravus is a Great Grey Owl.
Hope that satisfies your ask anon!
