I hate........how sexualizing teenage superheroes is the norm in the superheroes fandom at large.Forgive me for traumadumping ig but i have really strong feelings on this as an autistic adult with a special interest in superheroes at large themselves and itself as a genre

My first hero spin was Big Hero 6.By the time it came out,i was 13 so i was allowed internet access no problem and naturally i went looking all over for content of literally everything about it but my favorite character was Hiro so he was what i searched for the most and he was LUDICRIOUSLY objectified and fetishized for his wasian heritage and when the series came out,he got an official love interest named Karmi who's 16 to his 14 and she got tons of hate from Hiro x Gogo and Hiro x Honey shippers despite them not only being college aged to his again,FOURTEEN years but we got explicit ages for them in season 2 when the Nerd Gang minus him gratuated from SFIT so they're canonically TWENTY ONE(i feel it's an important sidenote that Karmi's brownskin with a hooked nose and her VA is indonesian/chinese mixed so her heritage is obvious and as to how it contributed to her reception vs easian Gogo and blonde light-eyed Honey)

My second one was Bnha and there's been tons of discussion about the base's problem with the UA students and Himiko and i thank everyone who's posted about it deeply but my specific one is that my otp of the series was and will always be Shouto and Momo aka Todomomo even if i'm not nearly as into Bnha as i used to be because they were the first ship i actively made content for and it lasted years and that combined with me headcanoning them as bi4bi,t4t and autistic4autistic helped my egg crack and realize my own autism big time so their relathionship eternally has a big place in my heart

This means i've witnessed grown ass people saying Shouto almost touched Momo's boobs in that cap where he stopped her during their Aizawa fight(and his hand didn't even land on her chest)as a running thing and same for him acting as a macho man who rules over her body so she can't wear what she wants or exist near other men,including BAKUGOU who Momo HATES IN-TEXT,or have conflict with him because he'll just 'put her in her place as his woman' and Momo who's thee 'silk hiding steel' character and has adultification trauma that triggers her anxiety as the plot of the Todomomo starter 'Yaoyorozu Rising' with Shouto helping her with words of affirmation,healthy communication and good boundries on both sides that became the foundation of their dynamic throught the whole franchise,manga and extras,is reduced down the 'the class mom to Iida's class dad' as if she's ever even looked in his general direction and when she's rightfully earned her place as Shouto's best friend alongside Izuku himself and that is INSANELY imppressive taking into account her limited screentime.All i wanted was them being goth bf x pastel gf and getting to heal their inner child together and what i got was a nsfw Todomomo week on twitter and a certain artist drawing Momo/Dabi as an 'April Fool's' joke MULTIPLE YEARS in a row because he's also a Todoroki so it's also Todomomo lololol and i also did her with Natsuo and Fuyumi,i'm so funny!The only good thing to come out of that i started spite headcanoning Momo and Dabi as found siblings and platonic soulmates and realized i was actually on point

Then i watched Batman:Under The Red Hood when i was 19 and Jason became a character i selfship with romantically so i did the logical thing and started reading comics,starting with his.Did you know it's canon that while he dosen't exactly hunt them down specifically,he hates pedophiles and incesters so he once targeted a teacher because he was csa'ing one of his student's and expressed disgust at the thought of kissing any of his brothers based off them being brothers?You wouldn't know either of these things off fanon alone,you'd think he was creepy older guy who seeks out younger people on purpose when he dosen't seek anybody out period and that's his canon relathionships coping mechanism and it's also canon he couldn't talk to girls and pushed a guy off a roof for running a sex ring as Robin.As ROBIN,a fucking 11-15 year old Jason had that much of a moral backbone and willingness to take action in it yet everyone thinks he'd date a CHILD,even HIS OWN UNDERAGED SIBLINGS,with taking advantage of them as the appeal

I absolutely loved Into The Spiderverse as an afrolatino like Miles who was a troubled kid like he is too and i thought Gwen was super good too and Peter B's another character i selfship with romantically so naturally i was hyped for Across and the first thing the fandom did when the trailer dropped?Make a hyperpopular meme where that sweet,soft,wholesome scene where Gwen gets cheeky and looks through Miles' sketchbook and sees he's so in love with her he dedicated it's entierty to her just existing as herself into him seeing her as nothing but a sexual object with degrading features she does not have and it was a sick joke on Gwen because the boy she loves just wants her for sex and not even for what she actually looks and that just makes it even worse!!!Then there's the equally pure implied thing they did of her either stealing Hobie's sweaters because he makes her feel safe after her abusive dad kicked her out for being trans or him giving them to her to borrow as affection that ALSO got twisted into Gwen being nothing but a sex object,by people who see Hobie's age interpretation not even as a minor but in his 20s unlike how actual Ghostpunks do!!!!!!!,and don't think i haven't seen the Margo shit calling her 'thicc' and turning the girls into Miles' 'harem'

And the thing that made realize this is that it's always been like this is when i went looking for Teen Titans screenshots,first Starfire and Blackfire for me and my little sister and then ones of the animated Titans in general for my little brother because he did an edit-redraw of our DC self-inserts together using one so i got excited at how good it was and decided to ask for a few more since we have friends who have DC ocs too and we're all doing a canon rewrite fixit with them but the first results were fucking incest softcore porn and TOO DAMN MUCH horny Bbrae fanart.One of the friend's in question is like another brother to me and he's 17 and he thought there was nothing wrong with Jason/The Fenton Siblings because when i said find it triggering just in general,he tried to explain that i was 'making the wrong assumption' because a lot of people age up Danny and Jazz and he'd learned that from older DPDC fans.They literally groomed him and i'm so glad i met him and helped him unlearn that shit before he could get hurt

What is something you like about the GF fandom?

Lots of things! These are my biggest favorite things about the fandom:

This is my absolute favorite one: our sheer dedication and evergreen nature (insert pine tree joke here). I don't think I've ever seen another fandom that has dedicated themselves this much both during the airtime AND especially after the show has ended. Like Hirsch said, the "mental illness", as he put it, just keeps spreading in a good way. I honestly think this show will still attract new fans and hold onto old fans for decades to come.

The intelligence. I think it's because this show is made to attract analytical, mystery-solving people, but damn, there are a lot of smart cookies in this fandom that notice even the smallest of details.

The creativity. I can't draw for arse myself but there are so many artists in this fandom that make such wonderful art and writers that make such wonderful fics, as well as other creative things. Also creativity in ideas. I've been in fandoms that were very much so preservation vs. transformation based, where taking ideas and making them your own or doing new things (*points at the bazillion AUs GF has*) is looked down on. That's not the case with this fandom, and I love it. It's so much more open-minded and free.

Collaborative nature. There are some shipping wars and minor disputes and the occasional "this character sucks!" raid, but other than that... we're pretty chill as far as I've experienced? And people are generally very open to discussion and debate in a respectful way.

We're bizarre and obsessive and we probably haunt Hirsch's nightmares like Dr. Frankenstein wondering what monster he's created that continually screams at him for more content weird but like... we celebrate it. Overly analyzing or creating a lot of art or writing for it is beloved in this fandom. There's little to no judgement, as far as I can tell.

About Me

When did you start writing?

In the fourth grade! I had a school assignment, but I was so excited to finally write about my OC (I had exactly one OC at the time). I still have the story, it’s awful :)

Are there different genres or themes you enjoy reading other than the ones you write?

I read the same things I write, for the most part. There are definitely things I read that aren’t quite what I would write, but my general preferences are the same

Is there an author you want to emulate, or are compared to often?

Uhhh… I feel like Brandon Sanderson influenced me a lot. So did Alison Luhrs. But I don’t really intentionally emulate anyone, I just kind of write.

Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?

I write on my laptop on whatever reasonably soft surface is available, usually curled up like a shrimp. I’m working on having better writing posture but it’s a work in progress

What’s your most effective way to muster up a muse?

Most of my ideas come from developing a special interest and then talking to my gf for six hours about it. In terms of getting motivation to write, I am extremely bad at that, so I’ll get back to you :)

Did the place(s) you grew up in influence the people and/or places you write about?

They did more when I was younger. You can still see shades of it sometimes, but not that much I don’t think

Are there any reoccurring themes in your writing? If so, do they surprise you?

Oh, absolutely. Recovery from trauma and abuse is probably the biggest one. The idea that healing is possible and the idea that, while there are shitty people out there, most people mean well, are two important ones. That and that every single person acts how they do for a reason. That reason might be that they’re selfish and entitled, but they have one

Characters:

Would you please tell me about your current favorite character?

I’m assuming you mean OCs (if we’re talking about fandom it’s Captain Rex from the Clone Wars) so I’ll go with Tatum because I can’t stop thinking about them recently

Tatum is a character from the Pirates’ Roost, and they’ve been through the fucking wringer. When you first meet them, they’re an unwilling lackey for a violently abusive captain who forces them to hurt and torture innocent people. They’re also dying of cancer and said captain has the only medicine keeping them alive. They get a recovery arc, absolutely, but there’s a lot of awful shit that happens to Tatum, including two separate awful exes, vampires, a stranger with magical drugs, their backstory reveal, and their extremely racist shitty teenage brother (don’t worry he gets better). They’re a really complicated character with a lot of depth and a lot of issues and their healing arc means a lot to me

They also are beefing with a bird and the bird is winning, so… they’ve got range :)

Which of your characters would you be friends with in real life?

Hmmm. I think I would absolutely be pals with Stellaris. He’s a sweetie, and we’d have good autism to autism communication. I also think I could be friends with Corbin, the boatswain of the Sea Star, although honestly Corbin’s pretty friendly with anyone who does their job so he’s not too picky

Which characters would you dislike the most of you met them?

…Narcissus (although he is my gf’s OC). He’d annoy me so much

Honestly I’d dislike pretty much all the villains in my stories, they’re all pretty intolerable people. Special shout-out to the Thief from To Kill a Dead Thing though, because he’s not only a terrible person but also absolutely terrifying

Tell me about the process of coming up with your characters?

My gf comes up with some of them and helps me brainstorm a lot of them. The original concepts usually just kind of pop into my head, and I start building off of that, adding on details as they become relevant. It’s kind of hard to explain. Occasionally, I’ll see a character with some really compelling elements in a published work and use those for a base, but again, I’ll develop my own spin on them

Do you notice any reoccurring themes/traits in your characters?

Trauma. Pretty much all the major characters in my works have trauma. Other than that, a few recurring archetypes that tend to pop up:

Absolutely jacked lesbian

Extremely autistic

Small/dainty/effeminate woman with a personality of steel

Very pretty man

Mildly persnickety doctor who probably has too much on their plate

How do you picture your characters?

My brain. Also picrew, especially this one

My writing:

What’s your reason for writing?

Because I like it. Also it’s a good way to get my ideas out of my head to share them with other people

Is there any specific comment or type of comment from readers that you find particularly motivating?

Anything! (That’s not hate obviously). But probably my personal favourite is specific questions/speculation. I eat that up

How do you want to be thought about by your readers?

Um… I guess I’d like them to think I’m kind of cool? “Person who’s pretty friendly and made this cool thing” is my goal

What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?

Characters and worldbuilding. Those are my two favourite aspects and I think I delve into them really well

What have you been told is your greatest strength as a writer is by others?

I’ve been told my characterization and portrayal of complex/dark situations is good

How do you feel about your own writing?

I love it! Sometimes it’s not perfect but it caters to all my tastes. I reread my old work sometimes honestly, I just like it :)

If you were the last person on earth, would you still write?

Absolutely. I’d miss the feedback, but I’d still do it. It would give me something to pass the time, and I like what comes out

When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, do you write purely for yourself, or is it a mix of both?

I write primarily for myself, but I do consider what others might enjoy. In the end, I prioritize what I want to write, but if I can also give some focus to what others might like, I want the people who put in the effort of reading my stuff to feel rewarded for that too

throne of glass (sarah j. maas series) i love this series but oh my fucking god the fandom sucked when i was last in it. absolutely no understanding of any sort of morally gray character. i adore characters who are human and make mistakes, and from what i saw.... no one else did.

sort of merlin tv but also.... just the fanfics. i watched the first season of the actual show and then it got removed from netflix so i just read the fandom wiki and fanfiction. got into it originally because caffeinatedflumadiddle (SOSF writer) also wrote for merlin.

umbrella academy!! TV more than comics but i definitely like both. TV wise, i've not actually watched season 3 yet, but imma get there at some point.

love the true lives of the fabulous killjoys comics, don't really read the fics bc ppl conflate the fabulous four with the band and that's ick.

heartstopper! my ex gf got me into the series, but i definitely still love them now!! personally i like the show, then the novels (like solitaire!!! god i love solitaire), then the graphic novels. i love nick and Charlie (obviously) but tao is my favorite non-main character. non main being not-nick-or-charlie.

dear evan hansen. not like. a lot a lot, but i like the fics, the book was cool. not watched the musical, but listened to the songs.

love both the song of achilles and circe by madeline miller, even if they're not historically accurate (moreso the circe there...) honestly, love a lot of mythological retellings-- daughters of sparta is another really good one.

it really depends on my mood, like, i have tv shows/movies for background noise while i do homework/chores, tv shows/movies for when i'm trying to fall asleep, ones to watch with other people, ones to watch by myself...

i like watching a lot of documentaries. on Netflix, i recommend keep sweet pray and obey, brain on fire, athlete a, the volcano: rescue from whaakari, and take care of maya. also, i can't remember the name, but the boston marathon massacre one.

also, hannah gadsby? great comedian 10/10 recommend. i've loved the shows since the first came out in 2018. not watched the most recent ones yet. also rec the book.

i guess mainly action and fantasy. and then documentaries, and sometimes medical dramas.

medical drama wise i've watched greys anatomy, house, new amsterdam, parts of the good doctor, and the first couple of episodes of scrubs.

First of all, OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH!! 💜💜💜💜. The way this ask made my whole week and the compliment on top of it, consider me forever in your debt.

I have been writing stories since I was 4, read books and watched movies voraciously that were way out of my age range and thus my brain chemistry was forever rewired to be a bit strange to answer the last question lol

My headcanons are usually pretty boring in the grand scheme and relate back to my ocs a lot and how they interact with the verse, but here's some general ones:

fc5:

- Faith and Tracey are lesbian ex-gfs, true in my heart

- Staci Pratt would be the type of guy to have a mirror hanging on the ceiling above his bed

- as far as i'm concerned, God is real in the world of FC5 (but also yes there is A LOT of mental illness and trauma going on)

- the mystery meat served in Jacob's cages is 100% grade A people who failed the trials

cod (or more accurately a few of my Captain Price hcs):

- Price is from Liverpool -- idc if he's not, he is (thank you Mr. Sloane for your wonderful voice and Scouser accent)

- Price grew up working class, single mom, military family, dad died in combat, joins up at 16 to honor his father and grandfather (*this is 100% a personal hc)

-Price is the type of guy to know the difference between scotch, whiskey and whisky and will come down on your ass if you try and pass one off as the other

Favorite OC lore:

Kit - Bliss has the opposite effect on her. Basically results in a bad trip every time if someone isn't guiding her through it (guess she shouldn't have gotten rid of Faith)

Rory - forgot to mention this in the oc name post for her before, but her last name is a direct reference to Sinclair Centre, which is a heritage building in Vancouver, BC (my hometown and hers, she may or may not be my most self insert-y of OCs)

However, a huge weapon has been created that should not have been made. (It's not long since the space war ended, and it seems that there is still a small war in some parts of the universe.) Another missing professor, I'son, runs away with Metaflux.

Then, General Bleylock, who was after him, hurt I'son, dropped metaflux from I'son's hands... and it landed on Akylan's planet. That led to the arrival of the Ice Age on the planet Akillan.

Bleylock : So, Labnor, how does it feel to regain part of your memory. you rest assured that this isn't finished things will start coming back to you little by little that…

Clamp : That…That explosion the glaciation of Akillian. What's that? what's that my fault?

Top 5 WORST sentais you’ve watched. or simply least favorite bc I know you’re more of a lover than a hater

OK SO these are simply the ones i think about the least since finishing them (i've enjoyed every season i've seen so far, but some just have less staying power in my brain than others)

OR the ones with the most "little annoyances"/characters i cared the least about/etc etc

So this is less of a "worst" list and simply more of a "i liked other things more" list 😂😂😭

5. Liveman - worst ending in the whole franchise. Absolute downer of a show. Two completely wasted rangers who really didnt need to be there/could have easily been made so much better. I would not recommend this show to someone unless i knew them very well and knew they'd get it. 10/10 i fucking love liveman but oh my god OH MY GOD.

4. Dairanger - very enjoyable episode to episode but really fumbled the bag in the second half imo. I love lots of aspects of this season, i love the characters (probably one of the only people in the whole world who doesnt hate Koh lmao), the suits and intro theme are some of my favourites in the whole franchise. But like... what actually happened in dairanger??? Daigo got a bird gf for a minute? Kemp hurt comfort episode???? We played baseball??????

3. King Ohger - i think i would have enjoyed kingoh a whole lot more if i was able to watch it at a faster pace. 2. Gaoranger - it was great fun and full on and i enjoyed it a lot, but boy howdy did it make me feel TIRED lmao. I watched this directly after watching Gingaman and was still very much in the Hyuuga trenches, which i dont think helped with Gao not sticking around in my mind. Also, didnt like the ending song (the theme song goes hard though, and Gaku remains a special boy in my special boy jar)

1. Kyoryuger - I remember really enjoying it and its characters, the bad guys were fun and the music goes hard. But there are a few factors that work together to sadly have it end up at the bottom of my sentai pile

Quick note on a Family Tree fix: Blossomfall's kittens are sireless; Thornclaw dies in the Great Battle and thus is not their father. Also Eaglewing has been axxed; it's only Shellfur, Plumstone, and Stemleaf.

Logically, I can see him sort of 'overcompensating' for the fact he was in a Half-Clan relationship, but that's one of my least favorite tropes honestly. The idea that, like, the bigot is so bigoted because secretly He's The Thing He Dislikes.

I feel like that's what canon is going to do; but I'd prefer to avoid it.

Personally I like the idea that his tune really changed after Stemleaf's death, and the birth of his nespring. I would approach him as really looking up to his uncle Bumble and being a little bit of a mama's boy, believing that being mean is funny and idolizing Bumblestripe's quick fury, but then that mindset kills Stemleaf in front of him

And now Spotfur, a cat he was a bully towards, is the one who decides if he gets to see his nespring or not. Suddenly he has to learn how to be nice.

In fact maybe it would be cute if that's how him and Fernstripe bonded... Fernstripe is the sweetest, nicest person he knows, even though she's in WindClan. Plus, if he's stupid or embarrassing no one will ever know.

Charlie - She's very cute, naive, and uber optimistic. Genuinely I'd call her a sweet little cinnamon roll. Though, that being said, so far she's felt like a pretty one dimensional character in the four episodes we've seen her. I really do hope she gets a little more characterization as the show goes on and that she doesn't end up with the same issue Millie from the sister Helluva Boss show has.

Vaggie - I really like her new design tbh! Characterization wise though I really wish we knew? Literally anything about her? The most we get is a hint that okay she died in 2014, she's Charlies gf, and has been involved in war / battles thanks to the classic group bonding episode. The only real interesting thing she might have going for her is? That she could POTENTIALLY be some fallen angel / ex exterminator, as per old hazbin headcanons claim, or that she might be one of Carmilla's daughters. Again I'm hoping she ends up getting more characterization soon and doesn't end up another Millie. Also why the hell does Husk and Angel Dust have more chemistry after episode 4 than Vaggie and her already established gf do? I'm??

Angel Dust - An interesting character for sure, and I'm very curious to see how his story plays out. Could do without him making everything sexual 24/7 but given the situation the character is in and how he tries to cope with it, it's whatever.

Alastor - Idk I actually don't really have a whole lot to say about him? Sure he's interesting, I want to know his motivations as to why an overlord like him is helping Charlie and why both he and Lilith were gone for 7 years but??? Idk I'm sort of indifferent to him at the current moment? He's kind of just the one note silly wacky chaos character with mysterious motives. I do really like his voice though!

Nifty - I thought I'd like her more than I do but? Honestly I don't really care for her at the moment. She's the typical yandere character but, again like most of the female characters in the Hellaverse, is kinda one note and ultimately forgettable. Nor do we know anything about her (yet).

Husk - Gonna be honest, this grumpy kitty had my heart from the pilot. He's def one of my favorite characters in the show, and personally I think his backstory of being, for lack of better terms, a fallen overlord is really interesting. For having been a gambling con man magician in his human life, I do have to wonder why he was chosen to be a cat rather than a rabbit? or perhaps a snake? Though I suppose the magician aspect of what originally went into his character had since been dropped, since they seem to have leaned more into him being just a gambler. His budding relationship with Angel Dust, whether be it as friends or eventual lovers, is very cute and very genuine tbh. Still questioning why they have more chemistry than Vaggie and Charlie but here we are. I also really adore his singing voice ough it's very smooth and very pleasant to listen to.

Velvette - oh lord I do NOT like this character, but then again, I don't really like any character that has the typical Bitchy Influencer tm type personality... Or any of those irl influencer type folks in general. Though I do want to know why? she was made english? I mean I understand a good portion of it is probably so that the three V's are unique in some way with Vox being the american one and Valentino the latino. Making her english certainly gives her that distinction from the other two, I suppose I'm just surprised they didn't go with the California valley girl type accent for her.

Valentino - vile, sleezy, disgusting, I love him. He's absolutely everything a villain like him should be. I'm personally super glad that his big red coat isn't? actually JUST a coat tbh? I think it's a super neat idea that it's actually his wings folded over his body and held together with either some sort of clamps (like the decorative enamel pins you'd find connecting both sides of the lapel on a leather jacket) or some kind of piercing.

What literally started in like volume 2 as a "I envy my gf having ships in shows we watch and they work out, I need to find a ship to enjoy" to literally wanting to scream for joy when they're in the general vicinity of one another begging for any social interaction.

Yes yes, I know. I know. Relax. I too think the last season completely ruined the vibes of the whole show and severely reduces interest in potential rewatches if I have nothing else to watch. HOWEVER it makes the learn about me list because this is how I discovered that I love Richard Madden as an actor. I thought it was just that I loved Robb Stark the character, because before this I was never one to be like "oh so and so is my favorite actor I love their work" besides Selena Gomez because I was shameless in my youth and Harrison Ford because I liked Han Solo in my Star Wars days. But no, I watched him for like 4 minutes in 1917 and was like hey I know him, then I saw him in Eternals and he was great in Eternals, and now I'm seeing him in Medici and I like him in that too! I need to see Bodyguard at some point. Everyone says his performance was amazing in that.

8. The Boys

I was never a big comic/superhero guy growing up. I knew about various superheroes, I knew the MCU existed, hell I was Team Iron Man without watching a single MCU movie until 2019 (and I'm still that way). But, I've gotten into it. Up to date on MCU movies, seen most of the MCU shows (haven't seen only one of them yet, but I won't say which so it doesn't start anything because I just haven't felt like starting it yet and that's the only reason), and like I liked it. The Boys (followed soon by Eternals and then Moon Knight) showed me there was ways I could LOVE superhero stuff and now I make it my mission to see Marvel content because I've become interested in it so I guess it's a good thing I started late because I've yet to get burnout but that's only because I've been consuming content for like 4 years while some (if you count the Tobey Spiderman movies as the first mainstream superhero movies although I'm sure theres others that were also mainstream, probably batman but I'm getting into DC soon I swear I just dont know as much yet but I will get into it) have been consuming it for 20+ so I get why people complain about superhero burnout but I haven't reached it yet, and amazing content like The Boys is why.

182 Days of TPN - Day 95

Chapter 95: “Let’s Go Home”

Oliver is essentially the male-version of Emma with his view of Goldy Pond very similar to what she believed of Grace Field and the demon world itself.

We love a supportive parent, even if their kids wish for destruction. And aww the trio are so small and adorable. I’d love a story just about them and their several years spent at Goldy Pond. Hell, there needs to be more content of the GP trio in general. I’ll take literally anything.

Not to discredit Nigel and Violet, but it would be so much work for two people to watch over and guide 50+ kids, even with Lucas going with them.

Catch me crying over how sweet Oliver is. Also, that tiny flashback of Lucas being confused about Adam is cute. That kid certainly has a lot of questions surrounding him.

Y’all are just a bunch of self-sacrificial idiots and I love it. Ray could get along with them so well. I’d die to see him interact with the whole crew too.

Lucas once again being such a great dad by owning up to his mistakes (though I don’t think this one was even that bad since he was also suffering) and refusing to leave any of the children behind. I usually see people wish about how entertaining it could’ve been if Isabella met Yuugo, but Lucas is the real parent she needs to chat with. She could learn a thing or two from him.

Look how much my boy has grown! From not wanting to escape GF with the younger children simply because they were too young to understand and were bound to be a huge burden outside the wall, to now refusing to give up on anyone, no matter their age, potential, or how injured they are. Emma’s influence is so strong.

I wanna thank these kids for being so kind and ready to help out, but I also feel the need to apologize to them because aside from Theo, I remember none of their names. Wonderful additions to the family regardless!

Oh, I gotta say sorry to Adam as well because I forgot he was still around.. he’ll definitely be a big help during the long trip back.

Next on my list on content wish list is more of Ray just wearing the turtleneck. I know I should focus more on how he’s basically reciting both Norman & Emma’s words here, but c’mon, the turtleneck is such a good look! (Also, he looks super cute here.. and calm, which is surprising since he’s about to cauterize Emma’s wounds. I’d be freaking out but hey, he’s seems confident enough about it, so good on him.)

Emma’s dream continues to flourish and so quickly too, as it’s only been about two weeks since the escape. And Ray’s eyes look so pretty here wth.

Favorite panel/moment:

I can’t possibly just choose between these two moments because they’re equally as important to me as they are to the characters. Firstly, we got Ray offering his assistance to Violet & Nigel by guiding the 50+ kids along the three week route back to the shelter. This is so very important because he’s choosing other people over Emma aka his best friend/the girl he would give his very life for/the girl he promised to protect at all costs. This something he probably would’ve never done a couple months ago, but because it was Emma’s hope for everyone to survive and escape GP, of course he’s going to take charge of her wish when she’s down and out.

“He chose to escort a large group of children to safety, knowing he would be on edge for three weeks constantly worrying about Emma’s condition, instead of making the quick trip back with Yuugo because he knew how important it was to her that those kids, new members of their family, remained safe and feel what true freedom is.” - me, once again quoting myself because I’m lazy.

It isn’t like Ray’s making this decision haphazardly either. He goes the extra step to make sure Emma is well protected and given the best chance at survival, which means he’s gotta put all his trust into Yuugo (aka the dude he very much despised the previous day for allowing Emma to be snatched up by the poachers in the first place) to bring her back to the shelter in time. Also, this is the first time Yuugo calls Ray by name and I love how it parallels Yuugo using Emma’s name in ch90, as he agrees to follow each kid’s respective plans on both occasions.

Been watching the sub of smile precure a lot lately and I kinda just wanna show off some of the highlights to me (my favorite line changes, interesting things I noticed, general opinions, etc)

So there's a bunch of spoilers (in no particular order) under the cut if you wanna avoid them.

First things first I absolutely adore this episode. It's the first one of the sub I watched and is also the reason I searched out a sub at all because I heard Pop actually gets to DO something (I love Pop but from what I saw in GF he barely does anything) but other than that every character is fantastic and it may be one of my favorite episodes in all.

OH IS HE NOW!? 😏 This made my shipping heart very happy :)

This also made it very happy, although it's also when I noticed that Jokers voice goes into some dangerous territory at times (the screenshot really doesn't do it justice)

Speaking of Joker I noticed something weird about when he's explaining the sloth ball, he still describes it as the lazy carefree world he does in GF but why does he also call it the bad end they've been striving for? Is it how he feels about bad endings? Is he just delusional? Joker what the heck you mean by that?

I like how, instead of hinting to the generals being something else, he just gives them straight up death threats and admits that the Hyper Akanbe have been slowly killing them. Joker apparently has a lot more bite to him than Rascal does.
