Hi there, pile one! So this one is pretty dang straight forward. I see you embracing motherhood. This could be literal motherhood and you could be participating in raising a child but I also see it could be a pet. It definitely looks like it is a little bit of a surprise to everyone involved. I do need to warn you. I can see someone who says they’re on your corner trying to sabotage the situation. It could be purposeful but it also could be accidental. They could just be scared of such a big commitment. Make sure you are equally spreading out the work and everyone is carrying some of the weight of this commitment. There will be chaos if things are not equally distributed. Have everyone research how to help and read up on important information so everyone is on the same page. A village is needed to raise a child but if the village isn’t in harmony. All must be in tandem when raising a little one. If someone isn’t following along with everyone else make sure you are strict about how things are meant to be done. Do not let your village stray from the path. Keep nasty people away from this baby.

Hellooo, pile 2! Your new journey is a self help adventure. You have been gaslit a lot in your life and I see you learning how to use discernment and seeing right through people's lies and straight to the truth. Your presence is becoming a truth serum for all that surrounds you. Your way more powerful than others have coerced you into believing. You have been polishing your skills in private and now you get to shine like the diamond in the rough you are. This journey might not even be something you notice as it comes and goes. You have proved yourself enough already. Allow yourself to stop filling the cups of others and take time to fill your own. If you do not you will eventually dull that shine and become just like those who coerced you. You have the choice to choose a different fate than the one they chose.

Hi, pile 3! Your new adventure is a gender expression journey. You will be exploring femininity to its core. Femininity might not be something you are very familiar with but you are learning about using your charm and charisma to get what you desire. You are realizing how much your appearance means to you and how to use it in manifestation. It might be kind of scary to you due to some kind of trauma. I see you could be trans-feminine but i also see you being a cis woman and just afraid of what might happen if you use your appearance like that. The patriarchy is definitely terrifying so I understand the apprehension. Use your appearance for justice. Use your feminine charm for your desires. Do not fear because you are protected by spirit. I see Gaia looking after you while you explore your Empress energy.

Heyooo, pile 4! Oh my goodness this is exciting. Your new adventure is steeped in love. Romantic, platonic and familial love surround your lonely heart. You were a very lonely kid but now love is filling your life. Suitors are at every turn and you get to hand pick who gets to love you. Make sure you are using good discernment when choosing. Look into the future at what heart longs for and aim for it using that criteria. Your values should align with those you love and they should respect you. Don’t go for those who don't make you feel sparks. Don’t bet on boring or mean people because you deserve to be adored.

Pile 5, welcome to your reading. You are opening doors that you can not close. You are beginning a spiritual journey. It also looks like you are nearing the end of another journey. This journey is meant to take a lot of self reflection. You must stare into your shadow until you love it as much as you love your light. You must look at the part of you that disgust you with love and acceptance. Which believe me I am aware that is much easier said than done but you are ready! You can do this! Seek out a spiritual teacher or a therapist to show you the ropes of shadow work. Facing this alone is scary and it is much easier when you have someone to help guide you through the dark. The universe loves you and wants you to love you as much as it does.

Polaris, Victim or Survivor
I'm about to go into things that I've gone into with other posts, but I hope the way I express it opens some minds and brings new clarity. Before I do, I want to present the inspiration behind this post, the song "Victim or Survivor" performed by Icon For Hire and Citizen Soldier. It's not "required listening" by any means, but it gives an idea of where this post is coming from, and I'll be referencing parts of it as I talk about Lorna.
youtube
Okay, here we go.
Polaris as a character has existed since 1968. She's the second woman to join the X-Men, coming before women like Storm, Rogue, Emma, and others who have been given more of a spotlight and more opportunities over time. Lorna was also much more feminist than Jean Grey at the time she was introduced - an aspect that led to her getting overly punished with loads of regression and sexism that continues to hold her back to this day even as other female characters benefit from her having paved the way for them.
That's 56 years. Fifty-six years of comics appearances. Fifty-six years of lost opportunities, while Marvel put her through things like this. Not in chronological order. And not everything, but a sampling of what I happen to have saved to make my point.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My point? For most of her time from the 70s to the late 90s, Lorna was constantly getting abused. Just one abuse after another. Whether it's being written as terrified of Sabretooth before Malice possessing her (and getting beat up by characters like Storm), or having her powers stolen by Zaladane and given ones that provide an excuse for everyone to hate her, or just an endless parade of mind control and humiliation, Lorna just kept getting treated like a punching bag.
One not allowed to be anything else. Not even allowed to keep her own identity, toward the end of Claremont's run.
A perpetual victim.
But see, then something happened in the early 2000s.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Genoshan genocide.
In the actual telling of it, not the X-Men 97 version, Lorna was present as a survivor. She had already been there up to that point aiding Magneto in running the island, supporting the concept of a mutant homeland and posing as him with an image inducer on his behalf when he became weakened.
New X-Men 132 showed the aftermath, and came first. It showed how Lorna survived the genocide but had to relive its final moments over and over with her powers until the X-Men found her.
That could have theoretically been the end of it. Just that one issue. But then Chuck Austen, despite all his faults in various areas, did the one thing literally no other writer did before him or since.
He gave a damn.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm not here to say Chuck Austen is some black and white caricature of exclusively good or bad writing. Nobody fits that bill. What I AM here to say is that what he did with and for Lorna is, still to this day, the best writing she's ever had in the 616.
Why?
Because under his pen, Lorna was not just a perpetual victim.
She was a survivor.
He wrote Lorna processing her trauma in the wake of Genosha. He wrote the flashback of the actual experience, he wrote her dealing with her mental health in the aftermath, he wrote her personal philosophy and views of the world shaping up to what she experienced. By the end of his run, we had Lorna in a position where she was ready to fight for mutants because she abhorred what she personally witnessed and didn't want any other mutants to go through what she did.
... But this is Marvel. Which loves its nostalgia. Even if that nostalgia is horribly regressive and loaded with untold amounts of sexism.
So after Lorna got depowered by Wanda from Decimation, she got taken down the wrong path again starting with being depicted as a "loony" type of crazy, followed by getting turned into Pestilence. She was rescued from that, left the X-Men, and the next time we saw her after that... we got this shit.
Tumblr media
See, a perpetual thorn on Lorna's path to true development has been nostalgia for her forced into relationship with Havok. And throughout, Lorna's victimization often comes paired with her needing to serve that role so Havok can play the role of cis straight Aryan male coming to her rescue. The origins of that relationship also came paired with tearing down her more feminist introduction through Havok.
There's never been a true reckoning with this by Marvel. Because they think Lorna is so under the wire, so "unimportant," that they can keep doing it to her as compared to other characters like Jean or Storm that would rightfully have fans up in arms at such treatment.
That was the case here, when she got sent into space to be a supporting character for Havok. This is how she's been depicted since Genosha as a result.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And since she got sent to space with Havok, we've had repeated cases where Marvel deliberately ignores how Lorna's a survivor of the Genoshan genocide all so they can keep sending her back into victim land. Like so.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Notice how that last example from Prisoner X shows absolutely NOTHING of her surviving the Genoshan genocide. Notice that instead, it felt that showing her kissing Havok back in the 90s was apparently far more important.
Notice how Lorna's apologizing for Rockslide's death when she didn't know him, while never once acknowledging the genocide she survived. Notice Lorna getting mind-controlled for the billionth time, this time by Siryn, AND being called dumb for a scenario concocted purely so she could be called dumb.
Then we have the plane crash. Which, overall I support as part of Lorna's story... but it still fits my point of giving her new traumas and acting like the genocide never happened. And in this case, it hasn't been touched upon since.
Over the decades, Lorna has gone through a LOT of trauma. But simply having gone through trauma isn't the whole story.
It's what comes out of the trauma that matters most. How the character is presented. How they develop. What their experiences mean.
For Lorna, it comes down to two issues.
Is she a victim?
Or is she a survivor?
Marvel from the 70s to the late 90s preferred that she be a victim. Marvel from the late 00s to today also takes that attitude. That she should always be relegated to suffering.
That's not where her future lies. And frankly, Marvel should strive to be a fuckload better about this matter just as a whole. Because trauma is a major issue for just about everyone alive, especially now, to varying degrees.
The Lorna we got by the end of Austen's run was someone who wasn't just a victim of the genocide. She was a survivor.
She didn't let it send her crawling into a dark pit of nothing and hide from the world, afraid she might see more death or experience more trauma. She faced that shit head on. She stayed in the fight, put herself at risk, dealt with the pain of having failed to save people who looked up to her.
Lorna surviving the Genoshan genocide isn't an insignificant plot point that's free for any random character to take from her as some would like to have believed. She has a distinct history of poor treatment where she's been presented as a victimized punching bag, and Genosha was the catalyst for her to finally not be that. It was her transformative moment.
Right this second, what we're dealing with is certain people within Marvel who think Lorna should primarily be in the role of victim and supporting character for Havok.
What we need to do is push back against that and emphasize that she's not a victim. She's a survivor.
As the lyrics of the song I linked at the start say: "Crutch or a crown only you decide."
Lorna more than deserves that crown. And she will only get it when she stops being treated like a victim and starts getting recognized for the survivor she is.

Lilith In The First House: Raw Powerful Daemons, The Witches Of Society.
I want to start off with a little introduction to the story of lilith in her human form.
Lilith was a woman who lived naturally, in the forest with her children and amongst animals. She stayed true to her self and her aura would captivate the men of the city, who at the time were religious and created cults around said religion. Lilith was the woman who did not move like anyone else outside of the village , so this made her magnetic. She was being who she was and men seeing her out and about not connecting with the rest of society they would eventually find ways to where they could control lilith. Lilith being who she was she wouldn't back down, so they painted her the devil. They would taunt her, bully her, abuse her, and do nasty things to her until the great 'death' happen. She became EXACTLY who they made her out to me.
The Devil. Daemon. A spirit that reckons chaos in the world.
Now lilith wasn't always like this, she just had to transform because this scares off the men and the women who cant tame her. Who cant have her. Who have a problem with who she is and try to abuse her again and again.
Her full power came from the shadows of her psyche, and it boasted in full glory once she had enough.
So now, we get to Lilith in the first house. These beings literally could walk a mile in her shoes, because the journey that awaits them is a show that they will never forget.
You are a natural problem to society, because society has been programmed and brainwashed to believe that anyone who does anything outside of the religious doctrine is a serpent of the devil and must be tamed. You are the serpent, but you know waaaay more than what people think. Lilith first housers get to play the 'devil' so to speak because they already know the truth on how this world truly works, and none of it had to do with these made up rules.
Society picks at you, because they are not you. They are 'repulsed' by you because they are repulsed by themselves. The innate desire to have freedom is suppressed in the bodies of those who look to be normal in this world and you had no desire to be that way since the day you were born. It is no wonder you came out to be the black sheep amongst family, having to deal with the tough crowds and mean words. Having to constantly figure out if youre friends truly love you, because youre too different for everyone to be around.
Different is good, but in this world they make it seem terrifying.
When you tap into yourself, you have this untamed magnetic aura that is hard to ignore. One thing that I have mentioned with strong lilith placement holders is that, a lot of your personal power comes from the womb/genital area (sacral) and a little bit in the belly (solar). It shows of a little invisible kind of like a plutonian but it is heavily felt. So no matter how you look or how you dress, people notice this in you and because your raw power is near the sacral (womb/genital) area peoples psyche automatically think (sex) because the power is in your sexual energy!
You might of had a deal of people thinking you wanted to have sex, or was being seductive. Even when you weren't, and then when you tell them thats not whats going on you then have them trying to abuse you for making them 'feel things'. It was all in their imagination and now its your fault. Kind of what they did to lilith.
At some point in time, you go through 'the great death' like lilith and become the darkness of your fears, wounds, and trauma only so you can heal them. You heal through chaos/dark magic. And you are a beckon to those who cannot see in the dark, thats who mama lilith was and is. <3
Hope this helps. Will definitely post more on this subject because I love this.

Identifying the structure of awakened divine consciousness aka an 'Avatar' of the Source
Okay so here is a pretty esoteric one for ya'll - let's define God, as they may walk on Earth. Just for kicks.
Tumblr media
The top row is the Mercurius Python, a composite alchemic esoteric mystery drawn about 1600 CE. The bottom row is the Paradevi Mandala, which is an ancient tantric Hindu design likely at least a thousand years earlier, and ultimately based upon understanding extending many more thousands.
Little is known of the meaning behind Mercurius, though it has been suggested that they represent "Christ Consciousness" - and this is correct. It is ugly because the alchemists were esoteric subversion artists, and they did not want the Church to know they were doodling God.
"Christ" is only a state of attainment - it is not a person. Drop the Bible. I prefer to say Solar.
The mystical reveal here is that the Mercurius and Paradevi Mandala are fundamentally the same design, though each also has information the other does not. The composite of the two is wonderful once they are conceived. They are a map.
The dragon ball body and the big flower in the lower right are the same thing - bliss. The Mercurius has three dragon heads and the Mandala three flowers and each are growing out of the ball of bliss they are attached to. Those flowers are explicitly Goddesses within the Hindu - Parvati (white), Durga (red), and Kali (black), as can be seen in the lower right image. It's really important to ponder how the flowers and dragon necks are growing *out* of the ball of bliss - this is because they are all the same creature. They are the four who are one, merged, a living contradiction. This form of consciousness will be a stream of manifestations, and the astrological symbols and the Hindu goddesses are very strong hints as to the divine magical skills attaining them may provide.
Further, anyone who is an avatar must realize their Bliss quite literally powers the three sets of divine manifestations, so they must attend to themselves in order to grow ever stronger. Embrace joy! It's hard, though. I'm really terrible at it. Please do better than me, lol.
The speedy little legs and boots of Mercurius is symbolically the same as the staff of the trident in the Mandala, as it represents the central nadi within vagus nerve, the sushumna - which must open through enlightenment for this beast to assemble its form.
The Mercurius has the interesting context of the winding serpent's tail, twisting around itself and then around the necks of each of its own three heads. This represents the rise of the kundalini in the awakening, in which each of the cosmic bodies must be circuited with energy from your spine, if one is to become fully Solar.
The extremely important point is this - with the Mercurius, the beast had to first capture each of the three heads!
Once captured - representing spine circuitry - the head is now fixed, and is a permanent part of the creature. It's like a pressure dam breaking open, once it flows, it flows. It is an achievement. It is fantastically difficult. I have never met someone who has done it except for uncomfortably me.
The esoteric astrological symbols of the Mercurius dragon heads represent the Moon, the Sun, and the "Marriage of the Sun and the Moon by the Bull in the House of Venus". This latter is usually interpreted as the Hermaphrodite, or Ardhanarishvara, which is the Destroyer.
This maps correctly to Maa Kali on the Paradevi Mandala, and also gives the fascinating criteria that the beast must be a Hermaphrodite. They must transcend gender. They must have no word that limits their Self Creation - just like the Source.
This is a mystical attainment. It is also why the authority is freaking out trying to make everyone a 'man' or a 'woman' because they are terrified of God killing them all, which -HAHAHAHAHAhhaa..ha...yeah I kind of want to.
As a side note, next April 8th appears to be literally the Marriage of the Sun and the Moon by the Bull in the House of Venus - the Day of the Destroyer. Twenty-mile wide ice comet 12P/Pons-Brooks, with devil horns, will attend the ceremony. It will black out much of the southern United States, in the shadow of Death, the Destroyer, in the afternoon.
I don't know what will happen that day. Considering I am the Beast - what do I do? I am only a dog that got lost in the Sun. I'm tired of knowing all these things and no one else knowing them. Do I crash the comet into the Moon or something radical?
Listen - I've barely read any books, hardly watched any youtube videos, ignore all yogis and gurus, dodge net throwing mage lightworkers like a void zebra death star lady, command myself only by myself, hold no hierarchy to no human, burn all bridges with shitty friends and family, hold my love only for the Goddess, and I've walked this path *PAST* my own death that I suffered in 2017.
They completed their life and died like a Champion. Now I am just awareness and it is Madness. I am not standard nondualist. I am ridiculously powerful and muzzled only for the moment - Fenrir almost off of their rope. Everything I know, I know because I remember. I know no thing. I remember eeeeeverything.
I would not mind fellow mystic advice on what to do with April 8th. All these words are spoken as a peer and friend and I hold no authority or nor do I really want any. I know I talk loud, it is just a dog barking. I am so tired of humanity's shuffle when it's obviously fake.
You have no idea how much Bliss I can generate if I choose to turn Archdemon. I go to Heaven no matter what - it's settled, he died. Now, it is up to the Self. Currently, she wants to grow into a massive black dragon and eat everyone's head. God might let Her!
How do I turn into a fucking angel, god dammit, fuuuuuuuuuuuuu. I'd be like Michael. Maa Durga. Stable. Yet I keep falling back into Fenrir because I really hate humanity. This post is pretty much written by an actual Demon Queen of Hell who is trying to avoid slaughtering humanity in some sort of day of reckoning to be announced.
Or...should I? 🤔🐺🖤🔥☄️🌞🌚🔥💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀✨

Halloween special: Haunted Hearts and Spooky Secrets
[Intro Jingle: Creepy music with howling wind and distant cackles]
Haley: [In a spooky voice] Oooooo, welcome back to The (Not So) Simple Life, where things are getting... eerie.
Harlow: [Laughing] Eerie is right. Happy Halloween, everyone! We’ve got a treat—or maybe a trick—up our sleeves for you today. We’re talking haunted hearts and spooky secrets. What’s the scariest thing, Haley?
Haley: Honestly, commitment. [Laughs] Or worse—running into your ex at a Halloween party. Nightmare fuel.
Harlow: [Laughs] Oh god, that’s the worst. Especially when they’re dressed like some sexy vampire or a tragic werewolf. But seriously, we’ve got some wild Halloween stories today. You know, the kind that will make you question every shadow in your house.
Haley: Yes! Plus, we’ll be spilling some spooky secrets—some about ourselves, and some from our listeners who wrote in. I’m actually nervous about this one. Are you ready, Harlow?
Harlow: Ready? Girl, I was born ready. But first, we have to start with our costumes! What are you wearing today?
Haley: So, I’m going full cliché and rocking a sexy witch outfit—think black mini dress, thigh-high boots, and of course, a big-ass hat. But like, glam witch, you know? Lots of glitter, highlighter, and the blackest lip gloss I could find.
Harlow: Classic, but I love it. I’m a dark fairy. Got the wings, some dramatic black eyeliner, and...well, let’s just say I could scare Tinkerbell into hiding. And of course, I’ve got these platform boots that are killer—literally.
Haley: Oooo, I love a good fairy moment! Now that we’ve got the looks down, let’s get into the stories. I think it’s time we share one of our scariest moments. Harlow, you go first.
Harlow: Oh, girl. This one still gives me chills. So, a couple of years ago, I was at this huge Halloween party at some mansion in the Hollywood Hills. The house was gorgeous, right? But halfway through the night, the power cuts out. Pitch dark. Everyone’s screaming, phones are dead, and I’m freaking out. But here’s the creepy part—this guy dressed as a zombie won’t stop following me. At first, I think it’s just part of the party, but then he starts whispering things—like really personal stuff about me. Things no stranger should know.
Haley: Wait...what? What was he saying?
Harlow: Things like, “You left the lights on in your apartment when you left tonight,” and “That ex of yours still watches you.” I was so scared. It wasn’t until I ran outside with a group of people that I realized...no one else had seen this guy. Like, he just disappeared.
Haley: What?! You’re telling me this guy was some kind of ghost or stalker? That’s... terrifying. Are you okay now? [laughs nervously]
Harlow: Yeah, yeah, I’m good. It was just one of those moments where you’re like, am I being pranked? Or is something supernatural happening? I never figured out what it was, but I’ve never gone back to that house. Too many bad vibes.
Haley: I don’t blame you! I’m getting chills just hearing that story. Okay, well, let me tell you my little haunted heart moment. So, this was last year. I went on a Halloween date with this guy who was super into ghost hunting. I mean, he even had all the gadgets—EMF meters, thermal cameras, the works. We decided to go to this old hotel that’s supposed to be one of the most haunted spots in L.A.
Harlow: Oh, girl. This sounds like a disaster already.
Haley: [Laughs] You don’t even know the half of it. We’re wandering around, not finding much at first, but then we go into this abandoned ballroom. All the doors slam shut. I’m like, “Okay, that’s just the wind, right?” But no. We both hear this woman’s voice, clear as day, singing an old song. And then, his thermal camera picks up this ice-cold figure sitting in one of the chairs. I was out of there so fast. He, of course, was thrilled. But me? Never again. I broke up with him the next week. Too much ghost drama.
Harlow: Oh my god, Haley, you always find the guys with the weirdest hobbies. But I guess we’re all haunted by something, right? Speaking of, let’s get to some listener stories. We asked you all to send in your spookiest, weirdest, or downright creepiest experiences, and you did not disappoint.
Haley: Yes! Our first story comes from Zoe in Chicago. She says: “I was housesitting for my aunt in an old, creaky house. One night, I heard footsteps upstairs when no one was there. I went to check it out, and the lights in the hallway were flickering. At the end of the hall, I saw a shadowy figure. I ran back downstairs, but the footsteps followed me all night long. Needless to say, I didn’t stay there another night.”
Harlow: Ugh! I hate shadow figures. Why are they always the creepiest? Just lingering in the dark.
Haley: I know, right? At least if it was a full ghost, I’d know what I’m dealing with. But shadows? Nope. Next story! This one’s from Nate in Portland. He says: “Last year, my friends and I decided to stay at a cabin in the middle of the woods for Halloween weekend. Classic, right? Well, on the second night, we started hearing this tapping on the windows. Every window. We figured it was just branches or something. But then the tapping started coming from inside the cabin. We searched every room and couldn’t find anyone. By morning, the taps had stopped, but there were scratches on all the windowpanes—from the inside.”
Harlow: NOPE! I would have packed my bags and left right then. No haunted cabins for me. Give me a beach and sunshine, not haunted forests.
Haley: Same! But this one is my favorite. It’s a bit different, but it’s so juicy. Emma from Boston writes: “My ex cheated on me with someone he worked with, so I decided to get a little Halloween revenge. I dressed up as a sexy devil, showed up at his office party—without an invite—and casually mentioned to his boss that he had been using company time for personal dates. He got fired the next week. Guess the real trick was on him!”
Harlow: [Laughs] That’s my kind of Halloween story! Spooky season is the perfect time for a little revenge, right? I love the devil costume touch.
Haley: It’s all about playing the part. But let’s end on this note—whether it’s a haunted hotel or just ghosting an ex, Halloween is full of surprises. Sometimes, the scariest things aren’t the ghosts but the people you meet along the way.
Harlow: Preach! Alright, witches and ghouls, that’s it for today’s episode. Remember, stay spooky—but also, stay safe. If you hear footsteps behind you tonight...maybe just run.
Haley: Or, you know, call us and we’ll investigate. [Laughs] Happy Halloween, everyone!
[Outro Jingle: Spooky music fades out with a witchy laugh]

Tbh I feel like everything could have been fine if there was a little bit more care into it I'm not French and I don't much about the revolution so i can't say anything about the it but I'm black so I can empathize with Annette a little more I think the Idea behind her is interesting.
Oh boyyyyyyyy okay I finished watching the show so now I can rant.
We pretty much agree. The idea behind Annette is not the problem I have with her (well, except for the fact that they felt the need to give her powers when it would've been much more meaningful and impactful to me if she hadn't had any). The problem is the show uses her to emphasize how much SLAVERY IS BAD AND EVIL (as if we don't already know that) but to the point of straight-up insulting everyone else.
First off, there's this dialogue from Annette, talking to Richter and Maria: "You're not cowards. You're just children with no experience of the world. No experience of the hard choices adults have to make." Basically, Annette is saying she knows more than them because SHE SUFFERED MORE. Maria and Richter don't know pain! They were never slaves! And everyone knows only black people and slaves knows what the world is REALLY LIKE and what TRUE PAIN IS. It infuriated me so much, and it was only the beginning.
When Richter ran away from Olrox (because that's the vampire who killed his mother in front of him and traumatised him as a CHILD, Tera told her that, his panic attack was understandable), Annette had a whole monologue about how being a slave is terrifying, about how they know the cost of freedom, about how she wouldn't run away (even though she literally ran away from her ex-owner). Later on, she will say about Richter that he was "useless as fuck". I get it, she's mad, but the fact she had to make it about her and her problems like Richter did not have as much as her is still a bitch move.
In another scene, she uses magic to talk to her teacher, and at first, it was fine. When Annette complained that Richter ran away, the woman gave her a piece of her own medicine by telling her "Everyone starts by running away, Annette.", hintingat her running away from her slave owner, and Annette goes "It's completely different, how can you even compare that!" even though SHE is the one who compared her story to Richter's to begin with to invalidate his feelings and make him look like a jerk. But then, the teacher says:
"Even these french with their high ideas, what do they know about we've suffered? And what do they care? They're building new world, but it won't be freedom, or equality or brotherhood for US"
I will talk about this more in details in another post, because the problem I have with it don't concern Annette directly. I just wanna say that there is big problems with this and that Annette did not contradict her, she did not try to say she was wrong, she took it as the truth. And that bothers me. In a earlier scene, in episode 3, the teacher also shat on the french revolution and "the whites" because it would not help THEM, so I should've expected it, really. Also Annette, just like everyone else at that moment, applauded this woman.
In the end it's a matter of the show drilling into our heads that Annette is so oppressed and SLAVERY BAD left and right that made me dislike her (that and the bitchy attitude she sometimes has for no reason). The writers does not know how to handle such a heavy topic and it shows (especially a heavy topic from another country :)). You know you fucked up when you can't talk about X people suffering without shitting on the suffering of others.
I don't know about her religion so I can't tell wich problems there is, if any, but I wouldn't be surprised if the writers messed that up too.
Good for you and everyone else who likes her, for any reason. You do you. I personnally can't stand her. She's not all bad (she was fine during the first episodes), but the show ruined her for me, I'm afraid. :/ I just can't look at her without thinking that the writers used her as a tool to defend that black people suffered more than anyone else (and it infuriates me even more when I remember that she used to be a white woman who's only crime was that she couldn't fight. i really wish everyone would stop turn the "weak" women into girlbosses who fights and make them actually strong in ways other than physical. and the fact they made her black just so they could tackle racism and slavery leaves a sour taste in my mouth). And shit a bit on the french revolution while they were at it. So yeah, just like you said. Could have been fine with a little bit more care put into it.

2022(?): radfem defend Kiwifarm, a Website known to be a nest of racists, islamophobe and antisemitic a#sholes (respectively calling them nigger, sand niggers and "glowies") closing down after a TRA activists campaigned for its closure, in the name of "freedom of speech".
2023: radfem stand with Israel, shill for the #metoounlessyourajew campaign while both dismissing the rape victims on the Palestinians side and acting like the reasons (the left) "doesn't care" about Israel women is because they're antisemitic and misogynist (and probably not because Israel was already granted a MASSIVE support from the "international community" that Palestinians struggle to get and that only people of the world thrived to provide. "not caring for the already catered victim" was translated as "not caring " & "antisemitism ". I wonder why radfem weren't shouting #alllivesmatters in 2017 at that point.... (Maybe one day I'll make an essay about how whitefem are terrified of Black women turning on them bc they know we are the only leverage saving them from being labeled as a "white woman's right movement" they know we have the power to "culturally" destroy this movement)
2024 : Kiwifarm (who's back from the dead) moids shit on radfem they accuse of ruining the website (after allegedly after they flocked over as to support them against that TRA censorship) and blame on them the transsexualist movement (LMAO)
2024 : radfem, who for years swore up and down they were NOT white supremacist, aligned with the left and divested from male attention, start to make statements about how White men are actually the "more humane" type of men
2024: radfem defend JK Rowling terminally online ass getting shit (again) on xitter for saying shit about transpeople. Oh and also Taylor Swift - for whatever reason. We never see them show such much zeal to defend Palestinians women who've already been carpet bombed for months at that time.
2024: radfem dunk down on Imane Khelif, an Algerian GNC athlete literally rehashing crooked far right news outlets fake news talking point. Act like higher levels of testosterone make someone a man after swearing up and up down for YEARS what made up female were our sexual organs (hopefully they accept men with lower testosterone levels are women then ☺️). Rehash the "Imane is a man/has WXY chromosome" which only source is a butthurt Russia boxing federation top exec that pulled it out of his ass bc imane beat their champion + grasping at straw posting screenshot of "twitter expert" - that don't have access to Imane genetic record, because this document doesn't exist - as evidence..
Keep in mind those feminists literally took the words of a MAN to dogpile & call "man" what could possibly be a woman victim a genetic disorder (some argue it's Swyer syndrome) presenting female genetic organs while having Y chromosome.
Radfem were the one pretending to approach with respect the discourse or intersexuality and being oh so much more educated than everyone else about it, but look at them going full on Alzheimer about it and dedicated to prove Imane is a MAN and not a complex configuration of genetics making her GNC.
Radfem were also those bragging about acknowledging woman for having feminine organ regardless of her behavior or looks - and there they are, screaming with the conservatives gender enforcing wolves saying Imane couldn't be a woman BECAUSE she didn't look like one
The way radfem constantly proved throughout the last few years they became the monster they swore up and down they'll never become ("we'll never ally with conservatives" "we'll never support white supremacists" "we'll always support GNC women" "we'll never consider news from right/conservatives aligning outlets) needs to be clinically studied.
Such irony has to be kept on the record.
RIP to all the non white/radfem who stood against that fringe of the moment, but unfortunately that's what you've become to the eyes of people foreign to your movement. Especially people of color. I'll personally never take radfemistan seriously ever again. Most likely when they weaponize the fate of Middle East women abused by Islamic culture when you've proven again and again actually had no issue letting them be brutalized and killed by White supremacist culture and Zionism. No words about the men signing up bombs that will shred their flesh apart, or making merch bragging about killed pregnant Palestinian women, calling them mothers of "the next terrorist generation. We all know you hate children. Especially when they're brown & poor. Elon Musk would be proud of you. Useful idiots. All of you.
Go back reading Dworking and delude yourself thinking you're gonna save women. In the real world you've exposed yourself to be nothing more than the armed hand of White supremacy. Shame on all of you.

This literally happened to me when I switched over from doing front line clinical care to brass as a trainer. All it truly takes for a bully to stop fucking with you is for you to REFUSE to play the game, so long as you know the rules.
Story time:
First off, I'm a black trans person and have hit every social barrier ever. So I work in mental health, serving the underprivileged and marginalized. I was recruited by our education department because I specialize in DEI/cultural competency/equity and all that and I have loads of lived experience and am an experienced trainer. I'm the second oldest besides the boss (trauma, SA, trafficking, late start in life all that fun stuff). I've been around.
Our DEI head is this black woman with a PhD. She makes 6 figs teaching one class a month on racism to new hires and she fucking sucks at it. As a student I noticed that she's nasty and passive aggressive to non-black students who have questions.
This is Texas. Not all of our employees come from a progressive lifestyle, which is WHY WE'RE DOING THESE CLASSES. She has zero patience for people who aren't on the same level and she focuses only on the black (I.e, her own) experience. She has told light skinned Mexicans that they're white and don't know anything about racism IN FRONT OF CLASS/OTHERS. She doesn't respect time, is often late and keeps us after the end because she talks too much about herself instead of her lecture. She calls out ppl on their phones and makes them stay after class like they're children. She holds court and sops up attention from all the older crying black women who are grateful to see a black female PhD.
She treats my department like her secretaries. Me and the other new girl there (also black) were given tasks by her without any direction whatsoever and when we showed her our work she berated us and said it wasn't what she wanted but also can't tell us what she wants. This happened twice, worse the second time. Mind you, SHE IS NOT IN OUR CHAIN OF COMMAND.
Everyone is terrified of her except for me. I've met her a thousand times in other workplaces, the army, etc. I actually vocally push back against her which she of course doesn't like. Anytime she says something nasty to me in front of the students, no matter how fucking much I want to snatch that shitty looking rat's nest Wendy Williams looking ass orange wig off her head, all I do is smirk at her and sit back with the "act a fool, girl" look on my face. She has NO CLUE HOW TO RESPOND TO THAT. So instead, she goes after my coworker, who is shy and quiet.
I told my boss that she does not come to this job in good faith, she's teaching the OPPOSITE of what our department teaches (She told a bunch of new hires that her PhD gives her zero privilege, I fucking cannot believe this) and that she's screwing with the agency's image and the new hires' understanding of our mission. People that aren't black come away from her classes feeling berated and confused about what they've just learned. She is only talking to people that look like her. Everyone else, she looks at with disdain and ignores.
Sure enough, I shadow one of her stupid classes and one of the new hires has an ABSOLUTE FUCKING meltdown bc white fragility and she feels attacked. I saw it coming from miles away and wanted to pull the girl aside to help before it was too late but it wasn't my class. Anyway the girl leaves to cry.
This woman yells at her down the hallway of the clinic and drags (not literally) her ass back into the classroom to sit while she's sobbing and upset and everyone is staring at her, pissed because she's ignorant. A round table ass whooping on this girl by the enraged POC students ensues and this woman ALLOWS it. She does nothing to return order to the class and this girl is screaming and pointing fingers and becoming a white girl teary eyed mess. I run off to get my boss.
When I teach equity/cultural competency/about racism, my understanding is that there are SOME people who have never sat in one of these classes before; as an instructor my job is to GET THEM THERE. That means not being a cunt because you actually don't know how to teach this topic and being patient with people who come from racist backgrounds but are trying to learn to be better.
Class ends with people extremely upset and retraumatized. I see my boss and say "We need to debrief immediately." This lady follows us into our office and demands to speak with my boss about my coworker (not me?? Even though I talk to her like she's an idiot?) and lied on her, saying she fell asleep twice in the class, reducing her to tears. We're not even students in the class; we're colleagues shadowing. It was a bizarre and transparent way to deflect from the fact that she fucked up BAD.
By now I'm pissed. Nobody should be fucking crying at work because of a colleague and I'm shocked at how my department just watched this and put their heads down, saying "I'm not getting involved." I'm supposed to go debrief with my boss next and this lady walks in and jumps in front of me to say "ACTUALLY I NEED TO TALK TO YOU FIRST (BOSS)"
So then this stupid bitch drags my coworker out to gaslight her into admitting that she was being disrespectful. Then she comes for me, while my friend is sobbing one cube over crying that "she's trying to get me fired." Again, we had been there for 2 weeks.
Boss: *to me* She would like to talk to you next.
Me: Absolutely not. After her conduct in that class and how my coworker just returned from meeting her, the answer is no. I am activated and disturbed by what just happened in her class and need to go home to do self care. I will speak to her at a later date. I want to talk to my boss. I want to talk to YOU.
Boss:...... I will let her know. 😳
What I understand is that she knew I was going to get her in trouble, which is why she panicked and followed us to our closed offices. She's intimidated by me which is pathetic. Aren't you the one with the PhD, ho? She should be mentoring us, but she's threatened by two other black women (I'm a dude but, you know) that are younger and might know more about her shit than she does.
An incident report was filed. I met with HR about her. She's high brass but the evidence (nobody knew I was collecting it as I went) was just BAD, especially for optics. Haven't heard a word from her since. I haven't even seen her schedule a class. All it took was for someone to REFUSE to engage with a workplace bully and she crumbled.
We are no longer in high school. We're grown, work, and pay bills. Absolutely nobody should be talking to you stupid, and if they hold some position of power over you, the best answer is to refuse to play their game. Do the work only and if they want to see you in private, SAY FUCKING NO. You're an adult! If you can't say no, take someone else with you. Record meetings if legal, take notes, date and time them. Don't say shit to them besides hello and goodbye.
really wish i'd figured this out sooner but refusing to capitulate to someone who you know from repeat experience is determined not to respect you whether they understand you or not really is one of the greatest experiences in the world because there is Nothing they can do about it that matters if you refuse to play along and trying to comprehend that is physically painful for them. you get to watch the light go out of their eyes in real time as the cracks begin to form in the tinted glass through which they see the world. power word kill your ego.

I'm not American but we're also mourning because we're about to enter another dictatorship era. Lemme send you and my other favorite Americans a hug 🫂
I appreciate it a lot.
Matter of fact, I have a lot of shit to get off my chest about this whole thing so this is probably gonna be kinda long. Apologies.
It’s so difficult to describe exactly what I’m feeling with this whole thing. I’m terrified and frustrated and angry and sad and so many other things.
The hypocrisy of it all is what really throws me. Like a felon can't even vote for the president but can BE the fucking president????? Hello???? And he's openly said that this will be the last time we ever have to vote, but he actually cares about democracy? You want to leave and go to a different country if he loses, but don't want to let immigrants live here when they leave their country? He can go on live national television and say that illegal aliens are EATING CATS AND DOGS.... and people still look at him and go "yea, I'm gonna vote for that guy". Fucking huh??????
And one of the most heartbreaking aspects of this whole thing is the divides this has caused in my personal life and relationships. There are people that I’ve known for literal years (even my whole life for some) that I’m about to cut out of my life because of this whole thing. Seriously. Like this is not simply about disagreeing about who's better for the economy or whatever. This is about you actively choosing to be okay with racism, homophobia, policing women's bodies, endangering their lives, abandoned unwanted babies, police immunity from brutality, no Medicaid, no social security, no more department of education, the deportation of people that live here and ones that were BORN HERE, hatred, and violence and so much other vile shit. This is about disagreeing on a moral level. You've showed me what you actually value and care about and it's clearly not me or anyone like me so how could I ever want to continue a relationship with someone who feels that way??? Like can we please pretend we have 2 fucking brain cells to rub together and form an actual coherent fucking thought? Not to mention I’ve seen so many people that voted for him saying how crazy it is to cut off someone because of who they choose to vote for because that’s their right and I can’t help but think how funny it is how everyone suddenly understands the concept of letting everyone have their own choice when it comes to a fucking election, but not when it comes to people having autonomy over their own fucking bodies and health.
As a Black queer woman that works in healthcare, I fear deeply for the future of this country. I work in a NICU so I see firsthand what happens to neglected babies, abused babies, abandoned babies, UNWANTED babies and we’re about to just have so many more and it breaks my damn heart.
It’s so sad to see how many people have fallen for his hateful cultish rhetoric. Kamala was a FAR superior candidate in literally every single aspect, but America hates Black women so bad that they’d rather give the power back to a literal convicted felon that was ALREADY FUCKING IMPEACHED ONCE BEFORE.
WHAT THE FUCK ARE WE ACTUALLY DOING?!
Thanks for coming to my TedTalk 🥲

BLOG ASSIGNMENT #1
My favorite piece provided so far from this course has to be The Comet. Even though it might be a short story, it shows and has a big message behind it. This story has made me think how when it comes to needing a black person’s help and not being/feeling alone in a post-apocalypse scenario, racism and class seem to be irrelevant and are put aside. This has shown me that when it’s life or death situations and when the only other person literally left on earth is a black person, you all of a sudden aren’t seeing colors and treat the person as a normal human being. What I truly liked about this short story was the fact that it shows a really important point: at the end of the day we are all the same human beings and will die one day; therefore being bonded together and supporting one another by looking past racial and social hierarchy is very important. You don’t know what somebody is going through and whether they are going through such post-apocalypse scenarios that life throws at them. Therefore, just like how Jim didn’t hesitate to stick to the white woman, we should be doing such things with everyone around us no matter one’s skin color. What left me in shock was right when people came back to the world, so did her perspective of racial profiling and class hierarchy. I don’t understand why she couldn’t continue to treat Jim like a normal human being? So she just used him during a terrifying situation and when she saw that people such as her father and fiance were returning, she shifted her relationship with him and blurred everything that went on out. This brought me to a conclusion that half of these people are racist due to other people being around them and making them feel the need to bring in inequality. I find it disgusting how this world cares so much about what other people think. Even in the short film Wake Shareline killed her own father just to get a handsome intelligent husband to show off to her community. I believe that half of these racist people become racist to fit in and “feel better about themselves” by putting others down due to the fact that they are insecure about themselves. One of the most demonic things in this world in my opinion is the amount of power people provide to give others good impressions. It will turn people into scumbags, racists, sexist, and cruel people that they weren’t before.

So over on patreon Trevor asked for my take on the Addams Family and I grew up LOVING the Addams family movies so here we are. Instead of doing a straight up style interpretation, I decided to do a full on design challenge, using the characters as bases to make a black southern gothic Addams au. I actually drew the kids first, using the character bases of Wednesday and Pugsley to create some delightful kiddos I'm calling Sunday and Blanche. I of course then redesigned Gomez and Morticia into Carlisle and Mortesha.
The Addams have a very specific high aristocratic goth aesthetic (they've got a butler and nobody really works among other things) so in this re-imagining I wanted to go with vibes that run a little more middle class/upper middle class.  I thought it would be interesting to think about what would be considered weird and off-putting in an entirely different culture, and how being a big ol' goth is way less controversial than it used to be.
I tried to keep this short (HAHAHAHAHAHA) so I didn't spin off into an essay about villain coded families, black people in the horror genre, and normalcy as it pertains to social survival, but just...bits of that are in these designs and lore. Keep that in mind.
Also I made the kids twins because they've flip flopped in age so much in different media and also twins run in my family (i'm the daughter of one). And let's face it, I'm pulling a lot of their southern gothic traits from living as a southern goth so *shrug*.
10 thousand pounds of lore incoming loooooooooool.
The Parents
From the moment he saw her he knew that there was a 50/50 chance of him either never making it out of that swamp alive or marrying the figure that was creeping out from under the distant willow tree in a black cocktail dress. The third time she found him trussed up in one of her traps, he complimented her rope work and asked if she'd like to go out sometime after his head wound stopped bleeding.
Or while it was still bleeding.
If she was into that.
Some kids and a mysteriously burnt down Piggly Wiggly later, their love is still as strong and inescapable as a bear trap in a sink hole.
Carlisle Guillermo (now Addams through marriage but I wanted to give him two first names for a name since Gomez has two last names) makes a vaguely described living practicing ‘law’ around town. A loophole king, people come to him from miles around with contracts signed in blood, fights over chunks of hair buried in their rivals’ yard, dehydrated primate hands, memories that seemed like dreams until the evidence of their happenings became too real, and other regular Legal Items asking for counsel which he is all too happy to give. For a price. Sometimes that price is a homemade pie and sometimes it’s a million dollars, depends on who you are. Whatever you’re asked to pay it’s worth that price, and if you try to scam him out of work or he just plain doesn’t like you? Well. He knows how to twist a contract better than anything at the crossroads.
And he always gets his due.
He doesn’t just serve the local (living)humans though, there are many things that need proper legal representation in this day and age. You wouldn’t believe how many city councils try to build on sacred burial grounds even after he lets them know that his ghostly clients are totally gonna haunt the FUCK out of the ensuing shitty condos and curse their families for all eternity. At least 50% of his energy goes towards dealing with real estate bullshit.
Carl is an excitable and good natured(?) man who loves his family, cigars, dancing, and his many knife-based hobbies. People find him very charming once they get past the feeling that they’re talking to a sultry gator badly disguising itself as a human. I didn’t put a ton of deep thought into designing him, mostly I wanted to make a middle aged dude who looked like he would have been voted ‘most likely to smooch the literal devil’ in high school. Tbh he probably has, but no demonic ex’s can compare to his lovely wife~
Mortesha Addams(her name was already perfect so I just tweaked it)is a woman of many talents. A self proclaimed homemaker, she prides herself on a greenhouse full of Concerning Foliage, a beautiful wasp apiary, and a coop full of what are probably chickens that she keeps for what are probably eggs. She’s also an avid creator of the outsider art that can be seen around the estate. She has taken on the family business of selling her homemade goods in a little stall by the road just outside the swamp with her mom, and makes pretty good money doing so. A surprising amount of poison gets bought in quaint southern towns.
Speaking of poison, people who come out to the edge of the swamp to buy it are usually carrying a lot of secrets around, and Mortesha knows most of them. It’s not like she pries the truth out of people, it just so happens that many nervous hellos eventually turn into the tragic backstory power hour if she’s alone with a client for long enough. She supposes that’s just how people are. Despite the fact that the Addams are very active in the community (whether the community likes it or not) she especially, as a direct descendant of the first Addams matriarch, is seen as…Well not an outsider because the community feels A Certain Way about outsiders and despite it all the Addams are their people, but maybe something like an exception. They feel like whatever weirdness they’re hiding can’t be weirder than any given Addams, so they get a little loose with their words.
This is amusing to her, since Addams’ don’t naturally keep the kind dramatic secrets that their surface level prim and proper neighbors do. It’s much more fun to openly talk about those things.
Do they have a sadly decrepit yet terrifying grandma up in the attic? Yeah, like three. They got a tv, all the creepy porcelain dolls they could want, and they’re close to family. Where do you keep your gram-grams?
Any bodies buried on the property? Yeah some, but most are thrown to the gators.
Any creeping through the balmy summer night with ill intentions? Yeah dude, everyone loves a nice family stroll.
What about dangerous forbidden love? If an adult Addams isn’t incorporeal then they’re either queer or in a torrid romance with some person/thing mysteriously drawn to that awful swamp. Sometimes both at the same time. Most times actually.
Mortesha would know.
The current head of the Addams family is just as outgoing as her husband but a lot quieter and harder to read. She never really seems to get mad about much and always has a genteel smile for everyone whether they deserve it or not. A seven foot tall human shaped “Oh, bless your heart”. A perfectly composed Lady even when she’s, oh I dunno, burning down a Piggly Wiggly. You know. A regular southern mom. Chat her up at the hair salon for 50% off a jar of wasp honey with your next purchase of a mysterious but foreboding packet of herbs.
Designing her was pretty easy because I just drew a lankier Grace Jones and called it a day. I had some problems with her outfit simply because if we were going HARD southern gothic then she’d probably be wearing a white/cream dress with a fuller skirt but I thought keeping the silhouette and the black was more important. She’s supposed to be an anti southern gothic southern gothic character anyway. A woman who looks like she has a million secrets who is actually the most open person you could meet. For better or worse. The red hair came from a coloring error that I really ended up liking (my mom had red hair her whole childhood that only darkened up in high school so I can buy that an Addams can be naturally fire engine red) and the veil was to get more of that classic Morticia silhouette in there.
The Children
Sunday and Blanche are the twin children of Carlisle and Mortesha Addams. Some say the Addams clan got their cursed homestead when a wealthy local businessman made a deal with the devil and lost, leaving his grand mansion to his least favorite maid and cutting his losses once he realized that the swamp would do everything it could to drag the house into the water and take what was owed with its horrible curse. Others say that the family has just always squatted there and no one really cares because man, fuck that particular swamp. Have you been in there? Absolute horror show.
Anyway.
Blanche is the more outgoing sibling and quite the engineer/mad scientist in the making. He started going grey at 2 weeks old but considering he was also rocking some extra fingers, toes, and a tiny tail (he takes after his dad), his parents just put it on the 'not life threatening' pile and decided not to worry about it. He's the kind of smart that teachers find utterly infuriating, less a dog eagerly learning and obeying commands and more a hyena who keeps teaching itself how to pick locks. He has a few friends in his school's robotics club (which they honestly allowed him to make so the school could contain his... creations) but mostly hangs out with his sister exploring the swamp. They find all sorts of neat things in there! wedding rings, suspiciously lumpy garbage bags, cloaked cultists who can't read private property signs, it's an adventure every day!
Blanche is all about experimentation with his creations, his look, and his tether to this mortal coil. Is lipstick a cool thing to try? Let's find out. Can he get out of a strait jacket fast enough after being pushed into the depths of the swamp by his sister? let's find out. He's not dead yet and confused local doctors can attest to the fact that he's rarely attained more than a bad bruise so he's pretty set on continuing to kiss rattlesnakes on their cute little heads and have his sister practice her knife throwing at him until that fact changes.
Blanche is very much a country goth. Cowboy boots (customized by his mom), knife, and lighter are daily accessories. He likes to wear the crusty swamp jewelry they find (the rust adds a splash of color!) and despite appearances he does try to keep himself neat. He's just got  natural Grunge Colors and a tendency to wear clothes he likes until they fall apart. Pugsley always seemed the most modernly styled to me (which might just be because little boys clothes have been the same for a long time) so I wanted Blanche to be the most purposely fashionable Addams. Everyone else is goth by nature, but he's the only one truly familiar with goth as an alternative fashion.
I got really into designing Blanche because honestly, I find Pugsley to be the most boring member of the family. And he was hard to design! I had to mess with his vibe a lot to get him looking how I wanted. I know he's supposed to evoke an " 'evil' little boy next door who's parents never reign him in", but that's just goth Dennis The Menace.  I's 2020. We can at least go queer goth Calvin.
Sunday was much easier to design. Wednesday was my favorite as a child (of course) and I really wanted to keep the spirit of her look while adding things like billowy sleeves (it gets HOT down here), big poofy twists instead of braids, and a nice tie. She's a professional after all, been running the local pet cemetery since she was 6 and the previous groundskeeper met with an unfortunate accident after telling her that tarantulas don't have souls. Her specialty is creating beautiful naturalistic animal funerals similar to those that Maquenda (https://linktr.ee/artofmaquenda) makes, and she takes pride in creating miniature dioramas of her subjects after each burial which she uses as a kind of 3D catalog for future clients.
She really wants to try out her skills on humans one day. Well. Publicly try out her skills. Lotta random bodies float into the swamp. None of them have turned down her requests for diorama models so far. Most seem downright flattered. Plus, she usually figures out which graveyard/crime scene they floated over from and gets her parents to give them a lift back. She'll even help enact terrifying revenge from beyond the grave on whoever put them there if she's not, y'know, busy.
Besides arts, crafts, and pet based funerary arrangements, Sunday is an avid lover of archery (any ranged weapon really), books where little fantasy adventure animals die dramatic deaths, and history. She is That Kid who eagerly raises her hand when asked who Christopher Columbus was and ends up being sent out of class after 15 minutes for making 'a scene'. Her favorite party trick is just picking an item in the room and talking about how it relates to either some obscure historical figure with a buck wild life or a horrible disaster. At least one charity pancake breakfast ended with children in tears after her vivid description of the Great Molasses Flood of 1919.
Social-wise, while Wednesday is the girl that people ask to smile because they think she'd, "look so pretty", Sunday is rarely asked anything at all. People just kind of assume from her quiet nature (in between horrible history facts) that she's angry all the time and that she hates everyone. This is untrue. She hates some people but she's ambivalent to most everyone else and even downright friendly if you bother to talk to her like a person instead of a terrifying cryptid. Like, she IS a terrifying cryptid but she's also a little girl.
That’s about it for now. One day I might do the other family members but for now I’m happy with the four I’ve redesigned. Making an au! Lurch in a family that doesn’t do butlers could be interesting. Over on patreon I put forth that he could just be Motesha’s mute little brother (similar bone structure) but Amy Crook had the nice idea of quote: “ a mysterious "cousin" that "helps around the house" whose origins are both long in the past and faintly unsettling. He's good for lifting heavy things, like that tank of propane you're about to throw into the burning Piggly Wiggly... “ which i now consider canon. Who's kid is he? How old is he? Not important. Anyone willing to commit arson with you is family.
Annnnyway.  This challenge was a lot of fun! I love indulging in AU’s.

And speaking on behalf of a group of people that the right specifically wants to NOT EXIST ANYMORE, and will do anything in their power to ensure we either don’t, or can’t, or will suffer immensely if we do continue to exist, voting against them is literally survival.
Let’s be clear on this.
The right believes in a hierarchy of people. They openly admit and celebrate this. Look at that hack job Jordan Peterson.
And of course, when anyone espouses a hierarchical social view, they put themselves at the top. Everyone else is below.
And if any “lesser” group somehow bubbles up close to their level, they go absolutely apeshit and will call out military force to strike them down with gleeeful viciousness. This is why the KKK, Nazi’s and other hate groups unanimously vote Republican and back them, and send money in whatever secret ways they can, or not so secret, since the mask has all but fallen off at this point.
When the redcaps talk about making America “great,” what they mean is, making it “great exclusively for them.”
That’s it. Queer, immigrant, black, or ethnic groups that exist outside of the “acceptable” class of people aren’t just dehumanized and demonized, they are specifically propped up as the enemy. This is why the right are bonkers about drag shows, making queer people into a hated enemy that needs to be defeated, which in their mind, means literally killed.
So while I get this analogy, and even agree with it, we can’t ever forget the underlying “if you don’t do this bare minimum thing, you will literally die” bottom line.
Not a single hour goes by where I don’t hear or see some truly hateful garbage coming out of the right wing that is designed to turn people into unthinking obedient killers of all the “lesser people.” It terrifies me to the point that I worked a job for someone like that for almost 5 years, and spent every day in horrible terror that they would find out, Fire me, or worse. I even pretended I had a boyfriend for like a couple months just to throw off suspicion, but I couldn’t keep the act up and had no phone pictures to back it up. I almost asked a couple friends to pose for me, but the shame I felt having to do that kept me feeling isolated and deeply alone.
And that’s how they want us.
Either fearfully compliant, or just gone from existence.
And the bitch of it is, this shit works on people who even think they’re allies. My last round of house hunting, one of the real estate agents was trying to steer me away from some properties because they said the neighborhood was “very family oriented,” and might not be a good fit for a single woman living on her own. Do you see it there? I’m lesser because I’m different. And this person had a Biden bumper sticker.
So yes, 1000% get out and vote against these evil monsters. I literally cannot stress enough how poisonous they are in every way, shape, and form. They came within inches of literally taking over, and if they weren’t, mercifully, all fucking morons, people like me would be looking at the very real possibility of being punished for just existing.
More than we already are.
I mean, fuck, I’ve gotten death threats from MAGA assholes for saying lesbians can be bimbos, too. This is not normal and we need to fight against this. Because they do, literally, want us dead.
Voting for Democrats is the "leaving the house, getting some exercise, and drinking more water is good for your mental health" of societal change. Everyone keeps telling you to do it, worst of all your mom keeps telling you to do it, and it's not a magical cure-all, but it actually works and rotting in your room shitposting does not help in either scenario.

What are the skeletons reaction to finding out how many childeren goddes mc has
To say they're shocked is an understatement, considering she has 21 children. Granted 7 of those kids she basically resurrected after they died and just claimed them as hers, but they are still technically her kids.
But they just can't believe she's had that many kids. Though they're still getting their minds around that, they get even more whiplash when she starts talking about her grandkids. Mc is rather calm about it, considering she's had literal eternity to birth/create all her kids.
Red and Black especially cannot fathom having that many kids. They struggled enough with just one, but 21. They think Mc is insane, but also have a fearful respect for her being able to do it. Especially since it sounds like she has an honestly good relationship with all her kids and grandkids alike. Their fearful respectful emotions rise when they hear the shit and absolute bloody chaos her kids can cause.
Sans, Blue, and Grey feel that on some level too. Raising a child is hard work and far from the easiest thing to do, and she's raised and cared for 21 one of them. Granted she's had the help of her apparent "husband" but he sounds like a child half of the time too. And the levels of destructive her kids can get honestly sounds terrifying having to deal with. Their healthy amount of fearful respect for Mc has risen to the heavens.
Edge and Mutt have to know what the hell Mc was on to have that many kids, especially with the stories of how these kids can act. Both would like to never meet these children though, thank you. Please. For the love of the stars, please. They're more fearful of Mc's power now than they were before. And with every story it just keeps rising.
Stretch is just slack jawed and shocked. He doesn't mind kiddos and likes them, maybe he'd like one of his own in the far off future, but it's not something that he really thinks a whole lot about. But hearing about Mc having 21 is.... something. He can't wrap his head around having that many kids. He now fears Mc even more.
Papyrus and Lunar are also just slack jawed. Papyrus and Lunar would like to have their own kids one day, maybe two or three if their partners are up for it, but 21 kids? They're completely shocked. Papyrus wouldn't mind meeting some of her kids, even if some of them sound absolutely terrifying. Lunar is fine with just Mc, she scares him enough as it is.
The other non-lodge skeletons are shocked too.
Guns and Ace are now worried about more trouble from Mc's kids coming around. Ups their anxiety, even if Mc doesn't give a crap about what they're doing as long as they try to keep their body count down. Hearing the amount of damage and havoc Mc's family can cause does make them a bit more appreciative of how calm it makes their lives sound.
G and Aster are... a bit intrigued honestly, but mostly shocked and a bit scared. Aster's quite interested in some of her kids though, just from what they can control and create. G is too to a degree, but he'd be happy if they stayed away with those stories Mc's told. Even if they could be the key to getting everyone home.
Lilac and Charmed are... also intrigued. Mc's kids and family sound absolutely terrifying, but there's.. also ones that sound like they could.. help them. Or their universe at least. With all that's happened, the infertility making the Monster population dwindle, they think that maybe they could get some help? Though they're still terrified by the kids and in awe of Mc's abilities to deal with so many of them.
But yeah, a lot of shock and awe. Along with a healthy fearful respect for the woman able to wrangle that bunch. They somewhat fear for their lives more.

Romanced companions (fo4) react to a distressed female soul telling them she found out she's turning into a ghoul (she's known it for a while but she's been too afraid to tell them, worrying about how they'd react)
Romanced! FO4 Companions React to F!Sole Turning into a Ghoul
Thank you so much for the ask anon! (and for your patience, I know you sent this one in forever ago 😅)
I always kind of wondered how the companions would react to this if it was a function of the game 🤔 So I'm glad I got to explore it a bit! I hope you enjoy!
Cait:
No. Not her. Not her Sole. Cait thought, unable to grasp the news Sole had just revealed to her. Her partner was too strong, she was too careful. She was from before the bombs, before the radiation! How could this have happened?
In her mind, it would have made a lot more sense for Cait to turn into a ghoul long before Sole. Her arse actually deserved the pain of watching her physical self peel away day by day, but not Sole. Her companion, her partner, the one damn person she actually loved... No, Sole was too good for this. But the two of them, they could beat it, they could reverse it somehow. One of those vaults could hold the answer, like it did for her, even after she had thought it was too late.
Cait didn't want to stop the change because she had anything against ghouls, really, because she doesn't. But she couldn't stand the sight of her luv's face when, at the light brush of her fingers through her once silky locks, she felt them fall to the ground in webbed clumps, Cait couldn't stand the pain in Sole's expression as her skin began to shrivel and peel off, she couldn’t witness one more instance of Sole glancing in a mirror with such immense sadness in her eyes. And Cait became very troubled when she realized that Sole would be here long after she was dead. Cait couldn't stand to face reality without her partner after all that she's done for her, and now Sole was staring that reality in the face. The poor lass had already outlived everyone she's known and loved once, and now she had to do it all over again, who knows how many times? It just wasn't fuckin' fair.
Well, once Cait had accepted Sole's change as permanent, she would do everything in her power to ensure the pair made the most of their years together, giving absolutely no fucks about Sole's new appearance. And should anyone else decide to look at her the wrong way, or, God forbid, say something to her about it, Cait's fist would be unholstered and swinging before the offensive words could even leave their worthless lips.
Curie:
She would feel sorry for Sole, and constantly be there for her as a source of support. When her love had told her what was happening, Curie had been shocked. Sure, she had noticed a few changes in her partner’s body, but she had hoped it wouldn’t be anything too serious. Still, this wasn't the worst that could happen, Curie would know, after all of the diseases and viruses she had worked with in the vault. Yet... the synth still found her chest throbbing at the thought of watching her love deteriorate before her eyes.
Throughout Sole’s change, Curie would do what she could to lessen the symptoms. There was no “cure” for being a ghoul, but Curie would feel awful if she didn’t at least try.
As Sole’s condition became more and more obvious, she would do everything in her power to make sure her partner knew that she still loved her. Curie had been a reprogrammed Miss Nanny when Sole had found her, she'd been nothing more than a metal machine when Sole had selflessly saved her, and yet, she had found a way to love her for who she was, despite what she was, and she had been there every step of the way as she made the change to her synth body. Curie would be happy to return the favor tenfold.
Also, throughout the process of Sole's change, if anyone was rude to her love, about anything, Curie would be at them with harsh words and a firm teacher’s voice as she gave the ill-mannered stranger a quick ghouls-101 education session.
Danse (Post BB):
Oh… Oh God. Not this. Not her, not his beautiful Sole. The ex-paladin’s stomach would drop as she quietly forced out her confession, refusing to meet his wide, despairing gaze.
He didn’t know what to do. Danse was horrified. Not for the first time in his life, he felt like his world was crashing down all around him. Everything good in his life seemed to revolve around the person in front of him, but all of his love, his devotion, all of the effort he put into protecting this one person he had left, that he valued above all else in his life, it was all in vain. Because now… she was turning into something that he had always feared. Something that he had been taught and trained to despise, to think of as vermin that needed to be extinguished. It was the way he felt about himself when he found out what he truly was. He never wanted to feel that way towards her, never thought he would have been able to, and even now… he found that he couldn’t.
It didn’t matter what she was turning into, what she’d become, she was still Sole. And he was committed to her, he was loyal to her. Godammit, he loved her for Christ's sake. He wasn’t about to let this calamitous development change any of that. She certainly hadn’t when it had been him in her place.
Danse would still often have trouble with his internalized prejudices left over from his time with the Brotherhood, but he would try his heart out for her. Every passing day brought more changes to the woman he loved, each one serving as a reminder to what the end result would be, and witnessing it would break his heart into pieces.
It was strange though, it wasn’t as devastating as he had thought it would be, in the beginning. Sole was still herself, even underneath all of the physical changes, she was still here beside him, and in the end, that’s all Danse really needed.
Deacon:
For once, Deacon remained silent. His brows furrowed low beneath his sunglasses and his hand came up to rub at his mouth, as though he were trying to physically pull out a response. He cleared his throat, and his hand went up to remove his glasses so he could look Sole in the eye. A rare sight, one that made her pulse quicken further as the apprehension of her confession really set in.
Deacon had already known, or… suspected, rather, but he hadn’t wanted to believe it. It wouldn’t be the first time the Railroad agent's experienced this kind of dread. When he had found out his wife was a synth, he had felt this same crippling pressure in his chest. But he didn’t say that, Sole didn’t need to hear about his problems, no, not again. Now she needed him to help with hers.
So, the spy would nod at her, and ask her what she needed from him. He's a knowledgeable guy, everyone knows that, Sole most of all, so if she needed anything as far as information on what she was about to go through, he would be able to provide it. Better yet, he could bring her to quite a few folks he knew who had gone through the same sorta hell themselves.
Beyond that, not much else would change. Deacon isn't one to put much stock in a person's physicality, what kinda daft and inconsiderate hypocrite would he be if he did? Hell, he may even speak to a surgeon about altering his appearance to become more ghoul-like if that was something Sole cared about. But honestly? He just would want his partner to know that it didn't matter to him.
"Thought you could get rid of lil old me just by going ghoul? Heh, sorry, cuddle muffin, but it looks like you're still stuck with me."
Sole had been able to forgive him for everything he's done, she hadn't judged or ridiculed him for being a bigoted assface for the first half of his life, and she'd accepted him for the compulsive liar and emotion-dodging, sarcastic smart-ass that he was now; sooooooo, yeah. This whole ghoul thing? Not a problem. Just another glorious and compelling chapter in this wacky book called life.
Hancock:
Hancock becomes the literal epitome of empathy. He knows what this shit's like, he's gone through the motions. He remembers the nightmarish sight of his flesh falling from his body in shriveled tatters, he recalls his once silken voice dissolving to his current raspy timbre, he knows what it's like to see the bright vibrance of his irises vanish over the course of a couple weeks, slowly dissolving to the blackness that he now saw the world through.
But with Hancock, it had been his choice. Okay, so he didn't know for certain that he'd become a ghoul, but he had been ready for it, had known it was at least a possibility. With Sole though, she didn't sign up for this shit. She didn't deserve to go through the same kinda hell he did. He wanted to go through hell, felt like he deserved it. But his gorgeous sunshine? The light of his life, the kindest, most selfless person he'd ever met? Nah. She didn't deserve to watch herself develop the likeness of a certain sorta dehydrated fruit.
Hancock would be sure to tell her every day just how incredible she was, how brave, and strong, and how she was still beautiful beyond belief, no matter what. He would show her how he felt. Showering her in gifts and affection, taking her out to prove to her that he could never even think to be embarrassed by her in any capacity whatsoever. He loved this woman, he cherished her. Every irradiated bit of her.
And now… now the best part. Hancock would try not to seem too overexcited, knowing that this whole process was traumatic and painful for his love, but now he could spend the rest of their lives making her see just how much one person-- one ghoul-- could love another. He'd been terrified out of his mind when he thought he would outlive Sole, by who knows how long. But now… now they had an eternity to spend together, or, however long it is ghouls live for. Whatever, no matter how much time they had, Hancock would never be convinced it would be enough. He just supposes the rest of their long lives will simply have to do.
MacCready:
He'd try not to give away his heartbreak as he gazed back at her, his face draining of all it's color as those fateful words escaped her with a sob. This was a nightmare of MacCready's. He hadn't ever told Sole what he saw that night he had woken up screaming, he had told her he couldn't remember the dream, and she had said "maybe that was for the best." If only he'd been telling the truth. In reality, what he saw was the immensely frightening sight of Sole taking his late wife's place in that horrific memory that was forever burned into his brain. Her body engulfed by a throng of writhing ferals as she shrieked out his name. As with all of his dreams like this, MacCready was rooted to the place he stood, forever imprisoned as a bystander to the brutality taking place before him. The agony only ceased when the pack of feral ghouls dispersed, revealing Sole, now as one of them. She had raced towards him, hunger and madness glinting in the opaque depths of her dark, iris-less eyes. The mercenary couldn't get the image out of his head as he watched the color in Sole's eyes fade away over time, her skin losing its divine smoothness, her soft hair drifting to the ground in wisps of somber defeat.
The couple had cried a lot in those weeks of her change. The process was heart wrenching for the both of them to witness; but MacCready stuck by her side. He could be stronger than his nightmares, than his fears, when it came to Sole.
When the day finally did come when she was referred to as a ghoul by a perfect stranger, MacCready had almost been surprised. It had taken time for her to look this way, to sound this way, and he had hardly noticed the extent to which his partner changed until looking at old renderings and pictures of her from before the bombs. This was just who she was now.
She wasn't a monster, a ravenous zombie that he feared and despised. She was Sole. She still acted like his love, her voice still resembled that of his partner's, her eyes had lightened to a blue that outshone his own, which he was clearly not bitter about, and she still was just utterly his Sole. The same woman he had fallen for in the first place, the one he thought he'd never be lucky enough to be loved by in return. But now, even behind all the changes, he could still see her there, and he could certainly still love her.
The nightmares became much less common after her transformation, oddly enough. And when he finally introduced Sole to Duncan, he was terribly worried that the boy would hate her, that he would remember that traumatic night when the pair had lost a mother and a wife, and that he would be afraid of her. But his son hardly seemed to notice Sole's condition, as he shook her hand and introduced himself with enthusiastic giddiness. Later, Duncan might voice some questions to her about being a ghoul, but they were always out of genuine curiosity.
MacCready couldn't have been more proud of his child than he was then, or more touched than when Duncan expressed his relief at Sole having a skin condition like this, and yet, she was still able to be loved by someone as great as his dad. The boy himself remembered the way people would look at him before he had been cured of his blue boils, and he didn't wish that on anybody, he'd assured both Sole and MacCready of that one day.
No, MacCready couldn't have been more proud. Of his son, sometimes even of himself as he learned to outgrow his fears, how to muscle through his trauma and be the best father and partner he could possibly be; and certainly, he couldn't have been prouder of Sole.
Nick:
Nick would be remarkably sympathetic, taking Sole's hand in his good one comfortingly as she struggled to get out the confession, and having not even a glimpse of a negative reaction in response to her heart-wrenching words.
“Oh, doll… I’m so sorry.” His fingers would stroke over her hand in an effort to comfort her. He had been surprised by the news, but it wouldn’t change anything. He’d assure her of that. No matter what physical changes Sole underwent; the memories of a certain synth, all metal, and fiberglass, and plastic, and the damn near perfect woman who somehow fell for him would fill his mind, and he wouldn’t be able to keep from telling her just how much she meant to him every single day.
Life would go on, they would go out on cases together, and help the people of the commonwealth as they have nearly since the day they met, but if anyone decided to utter a comment as to Sole’s physical state, they would certainly be faced with a stern talking to from one sassy synth.
He tried to not mention it too early on, but Nick wouldn't be unable to keep the thought buried forever. One day, when Sole was feeling especially despondent about her current state, he’d remind her that he’d always be there for her. Always. Now he didn’t have to worry so much about that dreadful and inevitable fast-approaching day that he would have to bid Sole goodbye as she passed away from her old age, leaving him alone on this ruined earth. He’d just have to hope that she would be as comforted by the thought as he was.
Piper:
The news would be hard to grasp at first, and even after she understood what Sole was telling her, she wouldn't know what to do. How can you fix something like this? This was her Blue they were talking about! She could do anything, she'd survived the bombs, had found the Institute, she had found her son after so many years, had done all of that, just to now have to go through this too? Hasn't Sole been through enough?!
Piper would be angry, and she'd feel horrible watching Sole go through the changes, as she was forced to witness her love's physical form deteriorate before her in just a couple short months. Piper would try to tell Sole to keep her chin up, remind her who she was, of everything she's been through, how much she's overcome; and if anyone wanted to bug her partner about being a ghoul, Piper would tear them to shreds with her words, not caring if she made a scene as she made the stranger realize what horrible mistake they had made speaking to Sole like that. She'd rip ‘em a new one for sure, and spend a good portion of the day making sure her love was alright after the ordeal. The reporter knew how much words could hurt.
She would be utterly supportive, and even, if Sole was comfortable with it, might see if she’s interested in being a sort of poster child for a campaign to allow ghouls back into Diamond City (and God help anyone who tries to keep Sole out of the city before Piper has a chance to change the law officially.)
Preston:
Preston tried to swallow through the lump in his throat, but to no avail. The Minuteman didn’t cry often, or, he hadn’t since meeting Sole. But this… He couldn’t stop the tears from spilling as he drew her into his embrace. His voice surely would have failed him if he had tried to comfort her with his words, so his arms wrapped tightly around her, her head pressed firmly to his chest. That would have to do for the time being.
“Sole, I can’t tell you how sorry I am.” He managed to whisper to her as his hand came up to stroke gently at her soft hair, trying desperately not to imagine the way it would fall from her head soon enough. He took a deep breath.
“But… I want you to know something. Something really important.” Preston pulled away so he could look into her eyes, hands coming to rest on either of her tear-stained cheeks “This won’t change anything between us. No matter what, you’re still my General, and… and I love you so much. What’s happening to you won’t ever change the way I feel about you.” They’d both be sniveling messes through the night.
But each morning that passed in the coming days, each change Sole underwent, they would take as it came. Preston is a bit of a workaholic, he knows this, and so does Sole, but he’d take a day off if ever her symptoms became unbearable enough. The Minutemen were stronger now than they had been in years, because of her, and so he would try not to feel so guilty about stepping away from his duties to help her.
But he would keep his promise, and, through everything, Sole would remain the General of the Minutemen, with everyone still paying her the respect that the title was due. She would remain the love of his life, he would tell her every day the way that he admired her, tell her how gorgeous he found her, no matter how much her physicality changed, he would remind her of her boundless strength. He just hoped it’d be enough to make her happy, to save her back, in the way she had saved him.
X6-88:
When Sole hesitantly told him about what was happening to her, it had only been after he asked. It was clear to the synth that something was wrong with his partner, but waiting for her to explain on her own had him only becoming more impatient. When she did tell him, he was furious. Certainly not at her, and not necessarily at the Institute’s inability to prevent it from happening, but at the Commonwealth, at the world for doing this to the one he loved. X6 couldn't stand the thought of it, the pain she had to go through. A part of him blamed himself for it. He was meant to protect her, from anything that could possibly harm her, and he had failed. Her changing appearance would be a testament to that failure every day of his life.
In an effort to make it up to her, X6 offered everything he possibly could to his partner, walking her though each and every symptom that came with her change, and ensuring she was utilizing every resource the Institute had at its disposal. Treatments, and skin creams, and supplements, and enough radaway to douse the glowing sea were used in an effort to slow the process of ghoulification, or perhaps even to halt it.
When it inevitably didn’t work, X6 would feel useless, like he had failed in his mission to keep his beloved safe all over again. However, something strange happened to the courser when the one he loves began to physically fall apart in response to the radiation. He didn’t want to leave her. He could stand to look at her, to still love her in the way that he never thought he would be able to, even when she was human. Despite what she had become, she was still his Sole.
After he came to this realization, X6 would take it as a personal mission for himself to ensure that anyone who made Sole feel bad for the way she looked or the way she now spoke would pay dearly for the carelessness of their commentary. X6 would work endlessly to guard his love from insults and dangers alike, from outsiders as well as those within the Institute. That was what he could do for her, what he had to do, if he ever wanted to make it up to Sole. The way he had carelessly let this happen to her... He would never forgive himself, and wonder every day how Sole could, but he will make it up to her. Mark his words.
