Serpent Deities & The Kundalini: Ashlesha and Uttara Bhadrapada

I want to discuss these two particular nakshatras because they fascinate me—both in how different and similar they are in their workings. These nakshatras are associated with the kundalini energy and manifest uniquely, both spiritually and physically. I’ll be doing a series comparing these nakshatras and analyzing their themes through film and other forms of media. This is just my introduction post for the upcoming series.

Ashlesha: Ruled by Naga, the serpent god, Ashlesha embodies the coiled, potent energy of the serpent. It is ruled by Mercury and the Moon and is also the birth nakshatra of Ketu.

Uttara Bhadrapada: Ruled by Ahirbudhnya, the serpent of the deep ocean, it is governed by the planetary energies of Saturn and Jupiter. However, ancient Vedic texts and some Vedic astrologers argue that Pisces is co-ruled by Ketu.

Health and Planets Vedic Astrology Basics

In whichever zodiac Sign your planets are placed in a cluster will give you issues related to that Element.

Scorpio, Pisces, Cancer : These are water element. Ex: you have 3 planets in any of these signs then you'll face issues with the water element.

You can face cough, Pneumonia, chest related issues, Overweight but you can loose weight easily. The people with this sign are over sensitive and over emotional. Therefore it can also give issues related to mental health.

since you're very vocal about spirituality have you experienced kundalini awakening? is cleansing/removing chakras are just another new age movement?

I haven't personally experienced one, nope. But I know a bit about 'em! Like many elements of Eastern spirituality, they've been appropriated by New Agers. Kundalini awakenings are famously risky - they can have seriously bad spiritual/psychological effects if they go bad, which can happen if your spiritual teacher doesn't know what they're doing. I can also say that if you see somebody out there telling you that you definitely absolutely NEED to have a Kundalini awakening, run! This person's into some weird culty shit and will probably try and drag you down the conspirituality rabbithole if they get a chance.
