I don’t like altean broadsword Lance. i already disliked red paladin Lance. the broadsword was like rubbing salt in the wound. why couldn’t he have his own niche. why was his character development just making him keith. i understand that it was like “he accepts that he doesn’t have to be a leader and excels as a co-leader and you can find happiness that way yada yada yada”. but you could’ve done that without making him keith. also now give him something unique, cool, that falls in line with his sniper bit. i’m not saying just give him another gun, im saying give him something quiet and lethal. like a garotte. yeah i want garotte lance.

yeah if u think of the main cast as a neurodivergent bunch of kids who become friends because they’re drawn to saiki it totally makes sense. He’s a neurodivergent person who simultaneously fakes being normal perfectly and also doesn’t hide it at all

the ~ideal~ neurodivergent. lol. everyone can tell, and also no one cares and he isn’t judged for being weird. People get the strangest sense that there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to saiki. other ND kids get that sensation twofold and find themselves inexplicably drawn to him.

genuinely it’s this kinda shit that makes me seriously question my existence as a film major, specifically one focused on screenwriting for television. like it’s such a disgustingly hostile environment for any creators and just seems like an industry that gets progressively harder and more painful to participate in. why am I even doing this if whatever I may end up putting my time and effort and soul into will probably end up spat on and tossed out (if it even miraculously gets picked up by one of the handful of big malicious streaming entities that control what is and isn’t produced and seen in the first place). it’s either 1) don’t make any money and be doomed to have a second job forever, or 2) be subject to the torment and humiliation of the streaming service empire for eternity. that’s the state of show creation right now and it actually makes me sick and I just hope one day soon everyone gets tired enough of this status quo to shift the norm of how shows get produced back to a state where shows don’t require the permission of streaming services and other big corporate entities to exist and continue existing. that’s the only thing that’d make me feel like I have a real future in my own field.

Just thought if something. Now that we have confirmation that our Morty is in fact Morty Prime, he’s the only Morty that we can confirm wasn’t somehow manufactured by a Rick, either through cloning or manipulating Beth/Jerry. I guess that’s why he’s the Mortiest Morty.

Passionate, sensual but so respectful all at the same time. I just absolutely love that this show’s creator refuses to play WLW intimacy to the male gaze. I feel it was a very conscious choice for them to write and direct it this way. Especially considering there’s no shortage of nudity, swearing or violence this season.

Dom and Kat’s physical and emotional chemistry is off the fucking charts. They really did look into each other. Maybe they were. Who knows? But I wouldn’t want to take away from the acting performances by believing that. But yeah, it definitely seemed very real. Choreographed or not - they really went with the flow.

Also, it was definitely due. Especially if they hadn’t seen each other for over 18 months. I mean jesus… I’d be ready to jump my lover’s bones immediately even if everybody else was missing in my life… not knowing whether they were alive or dead. Least I still had the person I’ve chosen to spend the rest of my life with.

But yeah, that was really well done. Good job guys!
