Are we talking about the time when Buck was definitely in a deep hyperfixation and couldn't stop surfing internet by himself? And when he was hurt and needed rest to heal? When Tommy was a caring boyfriend who brought him new ice pack, fluffed his pillow, asked what he needed, slept with him in the same room on a small couch in case of emergency, although could go home? This time? And remind me, did he took Buck's laptop away from him? I don't think so, he just told him to go to sleep because that's what Buck needed. So, all i see here a worried boyfriend.

Em, yeah maybe people shouldn't encourage their loved ones to fight for someone who dumped them. But shouldn't they care about their mental health? Buck is obviously struggling, he needs at least closure. And Tommy wants to reach out too, as we saw in the scene with babbling. So they really need to talk and people around Buck should see it and help him to have this talk. Considering none of them ever gave up on their loved ones. How many struggles Madney had? Henren? Athena&Bobby? And now they are strong. And shouldn't the fuck they encourage Buck to do something to get his happily after too? Even if just to talk to Tommy, understand why Tommy broke up with him, so even without their endgame Buck would know what the hell happend to the relationship he thought were good.

Season 8 arc I want for Buck: he settles down with Tommy step by step and he doesn't feel like this relationship doomed or that he will be betrayed/left behind soon( even tho they have major angst to make their connection deeper)

But even with some angst his love life finally not his biggest problem and mostly the only thing he persuades and what's why he starts thinking what he wants to persuade in career. And he doesn't feel ready to be a captain for now, but he wants to use his good engineering and detective brain (we saw evidence of both through all the seasons) to learn how to investigate arsons (like Severide from Chicago fire if you watched). So he stays in 118 ofc but takes courses and becomes really good investigator too

And it is Tommy, who offered him it as a variant, when Buck talks with him that he wants to try something new in career, but he doesn't know what. As Tommy knows Buck loves mysteries and detective work so he knows Buck will love it. And Buck really loves study for this job. And Tommy helps him and supports him through the studying

(I'd also love Buck end the season solving big case about serial arsonist)

You know how BoBs keep saying they would stop watching the show if Tommy was still there? But they kept tuning in every week out of the belief that their ship would be canon?

A lot of us are actually going to stop watching, at least for the rest of the season.

I understand fandom is an infinite decimal part of the bigger picture, but at least we're actually doing something lol We take the show for what it is, and leave if we don't like it anymore.

You should only do things you like, that's how you keep living.

hey weirdly they apparently can write characters whom you feel for even if they’re not genuinely good people. brad’s scenes in 8x08 were emotional and good. they gave him more personality than fucking thomas kinard got ever since he came. they’re both not necessarily the best people in the world and they had their issues with treating people like shit. sure do wonder why brad gets more attention than tommy ever did

Hi can everyone stop throwing around claims about biphobia and whatever else! You can of course be sad about bucktommy breaking up if you liked the ship but to imply it’s the networks biphobia or some bullshit like that is just insane! Buck is bisexual that’s canon, he doesn’t have to kiss men or be in a relationship with a man to make his sexuality valid in any way and that’s exactly what yous are implying by saying the BT breakup is biphobic! They aren’t erasing bi buck, they aren’t erasing queer characters, they have had queer characters since the start of the show. If they didn’t want buck in a relationship with a man they wouldn’t have done it in the first place! They would have allowed buck to have his bi realisation and not put him in a relationship. The BT breakup is just another plot point that has no sinister reasoning behind it! Yous are acting like in the breakup scene Tommy didn’t say stuff about how this isn’t his last, Tommy was just his first implying there is more relationships to come. There is no erasure happening. To tank reviews of an episode and complain to show runners under the guise of biphobia or interference from show runners/network instead of just saying you wish BT was endgame is insane and everyone needs to take a breather.
