it actually is concerning when people's activism doesn't include awareness of boycotting like what do you mean there's a flag in your username and you are openly encouraging people to buy disney+ and netflix subscriptions and eat at mcdonald's. what ARE you DOING!!
#i don't care if you want to watch the next captain america movie do it on your own time without giving your money#it's not like disney is releasing groundbreaking cinema#it's not like you can't wait a week and pirate#you will survive without getting the latest anime collaboration cup with your fast food meal#if you're going to actively tell people not to boycott then what ARE you encouraging#what kind of performative nonsense is that#silence would be better like at least don't SHOW OFF ABOUT IT#it is confusing#boycott and protest and donate and speak out#do whatever you are capable of it's fine but don't go the opposite direction#try not to!!!#what!!!!!#why are you telling people not to boycott!! or protest!! or donate!!!!!!#for no reason too!#WHAT#!!

trigger warning: genocide
see my pinned post.
ISRAEL IS FIRING MISSILES AT A HUMANITARIAN AREA IN RAFAH.
THERE ARE NUMEROUS CIVILIANS THAT HAVE DIED AND ARE DYING AS WE SPEAK. NUMEROUS CHILDREN ARE BEING BURNED ALIVE AND BEHEADED. NUMEROUS ADULTS ARE BEING DRAGGED OUT OF THE RUBBLE BURNED ALIVE.
TWEET. DONATE. PROTEST. KEEP EDUCATED. DONT STOP CALLING FOR A CEASEFIRE. BOYCOTT. PRESSURE YOUR GOVERNMENT.
ALL EYES ON RAFAH. THIS IS NOT SELF-DEFENSE.
THIS IS GENOCIDE.
Edit:
Being against a mass slaughter of an entire ethnic group is NOT antisemitic. Palestine is not just made of the Jewish faith. Palestine has many people from many religious groups.
Being against genocide does not make anyone antisemitic.
The Jewish people have faced persecution since the beginning of time. This war doesn't give anyone the excuse to be antisemitic. This is NOT the Jewish people's fault.
Hamas did launch an airstrike, but the airstrike was intercepted with little damage. The IDF launched a strike back and MURDERED AND BEHEADED children. There are 50 reported dead and rising.
There is no where safe in Palestine left to go.
So no, speaking out is not being antisemitic.
This is about calling out power hungry politicians.
What's going on there is ETHNIC CLEANSING.
FREE. PALESTINE. 🍉🇵🇸

I don't know who needs to hear this. Just because now you've started paying attention to Palestine doesn't mean that now suddenly they need "distractions."
The met gala isn't a "distraction." Whatever new film in the cinema isn't a "distraction." The IDF never needed distractions. The IDF never needed to hide its war crimes.
For decades, the IDF carried out their plans without needing to distract you. You sound like a conspiracy theorist when you keep calling every form of celebration or entertainment a government psyop.
Shaming people for enjoying a film that is completely unrelated to the genocide isn't as ally as you think it is. I'm so sick and tired of people learning a few new words and turning their saviour complex up to a hundred.
I live in egypt. we have had daily blackouts going on 2 years now because of this conflict. They are currently bombing at our border. We have continuous protests and fundraisers. The boycott is still on going on a national scale, and somehow, We still have football matches. we still have new films, and we still have new music.
Caring about silly things doesn't diminish anyone's work and efforts. Shaming people for enjoying something isn't the activism you think it is. Speak out, donate, and stop harassing people for existing.

In just one week we have collectively raised over $1,000 in aid going towards Gaza!!
In total I received receipts for 30 donations over the past week, and you will see the rest of those dragons posted over the course of this week. I cannot convey how grateful I am to everyone who donated, no matter the amount.
Nothing gives me more hope than knowing there are other people who care about the lives of others, who are willing to do their part in the struggle against genocide and occupation.
If you weren't able to donate for a dragon last week, please still continue to fight for Palestine however you are able. Continue to speak out, protest, boycott, pressure your politicians, and donate if you have the means.
Keep this solidarity going by continuing to do everything you can, whenever you can to help those fighting to survive a genocide.
Places to Donate:
eSims for Gaza
Palestine Children’s Relief Fund
United Nations Relief and Works Agency
Medical Aid for Palestinians
Operation Olive Branch
Non-Monetary Actions:

I'm surprised by how open you are about your views on 'controversial' topics. As someone who works in a hospital and a certain group of university in the US, I had to sign a contract that prevents me from speaking out on these matters. How do you manage discussing such topics in your role?
I mean where I'm from, we have much bigger issues than just someone's opinions. Idk what controversial topics youre talking about, but i dont be just going about and giving my opinions to everyone and anyone. No, not everyone gets it and my time is far much more valuable than to talk sense to an ignorant person who will just make it look like im banging my head against the wall. Also because opinions are constantly changing because Im also in a growing age and im still learning new things everyday. if you were to see my views from 10 years back, youd be surprised. but then again, i was still a teen back then and i was easily influenced so back then i used to think being a feminist is being "anti man" or that being "feminine" is wrong and weak, which is not true obviously.
again idk what controversial topics youre talking about, but im gonna take a guess its about the gaza genocide being comitted by israel and look, there is only one fact, not opinion but FACT! and thats that Israel is murdering Palestinians actively, torturing them, doing ethnic cleanising and still trynna defend themselves for murdering babies in the worst way possible, and then some. there is no other side to this- there is no excuse for israel to do this, not now, not then and not ever. they are comitting crimes WAY WORSE THAN THEIR OWN HOLOCAUST, and its so enraging to see how nonchalant they are about it, how they have ZERO humanity, how they are actually worse than the NAZIS- imagine being worse than Nazis.
now back to your question- how do i manage giving my two cents on this? I'm Muslim, and even if I wasnt i think its the pretty obvious and sane thing to do, but Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "Whoever sees something evil should change it with his hands. If he cannot, then with his tongue; and if he cannot do that, then in his heart- and that is the weakest of faith"
So if anyone of you can go volunteer in Gaza, or give humanatarian aid or donate, then he should do so. If you are not in a position to do that, then you should speak up, go to protests, post on your socials and raise awareness and keep up the boycott. If you are not even able to do that for whatever reason, then at least in your heart you should know that this is evil, go pray for palestinians, and keep on reminding yourself so that you dont get brainwashed into any western propaganda ever again about how Muslims are just deserving of this horrendous hate crime on such a level.
secondly, my reason for speaking up about this is because lets just forget for a moment that palestinians are majorly muslims and this is islamophobia. lets just consider them humans, okay? u could hate muslims adults all u want, but kids dont really have that much of a grasp on religion right? so, do you think that if Israel has and continues to comit a massacre on this level while the entire world watches, while everyone calls them out on their shit, while they have repeatedly documented their own disgusting tortures and crimes against these palestinians, have been called out by UN and the INTERNATIONA CRIMINAL COURT numerous times and they still continue on with this genocide, then what makes you think that you or i are safe?
If we let this continue on, if we dont speak up, then this is just giving a free pass to not only Israel but also anyone to go absolutely batshit crazy on any other country. The very fact that youre not in gaza and sitting in your home safe and cozy is by pure luck. But luck runs out eventually. And karma comes. What goes around, comes around. You stay quiet today over this matter, you dont try to help palestinians, then no one's gonna come for you too.

As an American I feel incredibly ashamed and disgusted with how the government and administration has acted throughout this genocide. I feel at a loss, like nothing I'm doing will have a direct impact. What can Americans do to help aside from sharing the truth, donating, and speaking out? I am speaking about the truth to anyone who will listen, but if feels almost useless on the scale of things to talk about these atrocities and do nothing directly to stop them. Is there anything we can do to directly help Palestenians during this time?
Thank you for this.
First of all I'd like to explain that a main part of the genocide here is media coverage. Israel pays millions of dollars to push the propaganda and send people on social media specifically to gain people's sympathy via lies and false news. And that's why we encourage everybody to keep posting about gaza and Palestine, because that's all we have. It's the 24th day of genocide on gaza but we must not get bored or stop talking. Without media coverage a huge part of people outside the middle east would've never found out about what's going on in Palestine and how Israel kills thousands of people without any consequence.
I know the feeling of helplessness all too well. But let me tell you that what you're doing in spreading the truth is really beneficial and makes a difference. Think about it, if your voice doesn't matter, why would they go through such lengths to silence you and remove posts and suspend accounts?
As of what other things you can do to help. Especially that you're america, you can protest. By protesting, you show the world that we know the truth and we stand by it, and you also pressure your government into demanding a ceasefire since the US is the only country who refused this decision which led to it being out of question. Keep protesting if you're safe or able to. There is also boycotting. Boycott brands that are exclusively Israeli and all money go to fund Israel. For example, McDonald's offers free meals for Israeli soldiers while they bomb and kill Palestinians in gaza. This Website helps you, you can just write the brand's name in the search bar and it will show you if it funds the Israel army or not.
You can also call your representatives everyday, and tell people around you to as well. It makes a difference I promise, and it will make you feel as though you helped. You can also not vote for biden again, i know the choices are narrow. But you should never vote for a genocidal guy who uses all your tax money to buy bombs and weaponize a nuclear power against a country with no army.
By supporting Palestine and speaking against genocide, you're already helping. Never stop talking about Palestine and gaza, keep calling israel out on their crimes.

I feel like the point of that commenter was missed, do you actually think that they knew, for Charlie maybe yes? but I personally didn't know that the other guy was an idf. your feelings are valid but the amount of times they said that they get punished for speaking up or doing thing on their own accord. Contracts are complicated, i hope div1/jype will give them more freedom. It's heartbreaking this is happening in the world right now. It shouldn't even be happening. Right now as a Stay and a person, donating and spreading information is what matters to me right now. I won't be unstanning but will boycott the song. I believe that the kids have their subtle ways to show their support for Palestine. I believe that time will tell. I hope it comes very soon. Free Palestine !! Free Congo !!
🍉 anon
I didnt miss the commenter’s point and im not asking or telling anyone to unstan or boycott skz but being a true advocate for something means doing the complicated and difficult things especially when your in a position to influence change. skz in comparison to the people im palestine, the students protesting and the different groups of marginalized people protesting and speaking out about the genocide happened have nothing to lose.
They’re a major group the writes and produces their own music and if their reputation precedes them then breaking their contractual censorship wont be as big of a problem as people are making it seem.
Chuu for example is from a smaller company but faced being blacklisted simply for wanting fair treatment and to get paid but her reputation and positive interactions with all of the people she’s worked with helped save her career.
The worst thing that can happen to skz for speaking up is they get dropped by jype and then what??? they write and produce all of their music they can keep doing that independently or with a new company.
The worst thing that can happen to skz if they continue to stay silent is happening right now. Giving a platform to two terrible people; a zionist rape apologist and a zionist IDF member and giving them access to their fandom which is allowing a crazy increase of hate and threats to people boycotting and standing up for Palestinians.
Threatening violence to other stays for talking about not watching skz if and when they perform lmb. threatening fights and assaults at large major music festivals and purposefully streaming that song raising it on the charts which just causes more people to listen and give more money to two zionists again one is a RAPE APOLOGIST and the other is an IDF MEMBER.
Doing the hard things, the difficult things can be scary but whats scary is letting this roll off our backs by saying that contracts are complicated and difficult and they need permission.
At the end of the say all of skz are adults and have control of their hands, mouths and access to the internet. It’s 2024 our morals need to be stronger than a signature on paper especially when lives are being lost.
Imagine if your neighbors, your community was all gone in a matter of 220 days (from oct 7 to now(may 14)) due to being bombed, starved, dehydrated, left out to the elements, executed and forced into concentration camps and someone you looked up to not only remains silent about it but gives people involved and in support of this horrible senseless inhumane crime because “contracts are complicated”
Begging people to see you as human and to help you live another day in a language that isnt yours because you simply want the freedom to exist without the sound of drones and bombs 24/7.
Thats the reality for thousands of people in Palestine right now that’s what they have to do to try and get freedom but all skz has to do is pick up their phones and start typing.
It’s extremely simple when you think about it that way.
Thank you anon for donating and spreading information about gaza and boycotting i appreciate it and i know the people in gaza appreciate it even more. Lots of love to you <3 Take good care of yourself and have an amazing may ❤︎ ིྀ

People keep saying Ryan changed and learned but he shared a video using a racist term and stereotype for a Haitian religion not that long ago, shared posts from a transphobic account, not to mention all the transphobic, homophobic, racist and generally far right accounts he follows. And he never apologized for the antisemitism or anti-vax things he shared. I think he said some empty words about asking questions which is in itself a bit of a dog whistle. That's not even touching on the casting couch sexual coercion joke that Ryan and Oliver and Kenny made and probably only deleted because somebody pointed out attaching Peter's name to it was a bad idea.
If the majority of buddie stans & toxic bucktommy stans ACTUALLY gave a fck about these issues, they'd be talking about them all the time. Posting links, donating to marginalized communities, etc.
My whole point is that they're only using these issues now, as a means of justifying their hatred of a character from the show because they only want Buck to be with Eddie.
I'd also like to add, if it's the post he shared with the (voudon) tommy & gerrard dolls, yall HAVE TO BE INSANE to be mad at that. The religion is known by many names including voudon, voodoo, obeah etc., although obeah is more associated with Trinidad and voudon with Haiti.
Were the posts he shared transphobic? Or is it likely that he didn't know the accounts were transphobic & just shared a meme/story from them? Y'all act like people are chronically online and know everything about everyone they follow on socmed.
I saw the anti-vax post so that bit is substantiated. He was clearly wrong for that. The anti-vaxx post he shared also compared vaccinations and wearing masks to Nazi Germany which is insensitive and historically incorrect, even inflammatory, but it is not antisemitic. It's an out of pocket comparison, sure. But it certainly isn't antisem. Antisem would be if Ryan posted that he was prejudiced towards Arab, Jewish or Christian people. Thus far, I've not seen him post anything like that.
Also, if people have a problem with the casting couch skit, why is Ryan being the main one persecuted for it, as if Oliver and Kenny weren't a part of it? I know you mentioned them as well, but your ask is clearly mostly focused on what Ryan's done.
And furthermore, Ryan has also been the ONLY ONE to post about the Palestinian genocide, while the rest of the cast has not said a word about it. So, dislike/boycott/protest him as a person sure, but its possible to also recognize what he's done, especially when no one else has had the guts to even share a link, speak out against or donate to Palestinian families.
Furthermore, y'all like to conflate issues and warp them into a whole thing, when it's actually nothing at all. I remember Oliver having to delete X because people were attacking him for queerbaiting. And all of that was on the buddie stans. Y'all have made fandom absolutely joyless and unimaginative because y'all expect your preferred ships to be canon, and go absolutely berserk when they don't. It's annoying and embarrassing.

I think it is beyond insane how some people out there are trying to justify pressuring people into making posts about the Palestine / Isreal situation. You people out there genuinely need to realize a strike on a social media platform with millions of users and hundred thousands of daily posts won't reach everybody.
I decided to not address this topic in the first place since I simply am not informed enough and nowadays, I do not think there is any trusted source on either side. But what I can adress are those ignorant bloggers, who want to play the role of a hero, but all they actually do is guilt-trip people online.
On this hand, why are we not talking about other genocides that are happening around the world? They are not only happening Palestine, etc. For example, one is happening against queer people in Russia this very moment, and it is a lot deeper than you think.
If you look at the Ten Stages of Genocide, the crimes and laws against LGBTQIA+ people sum up to stage 8-9 of all 10 stages. The Russian government's goal is to eliminate all traces of queer life. Or maybe for the fact that in Central Africa people are, and were, dying and suffering because of the shitty concept this region has, yet all I see is people planning trips to Africa and no one cares or decides to speak up about it.
Not once on this platform have I seen someone address this, nor the other genocides happening all around the world.
In the end, it's up to each person what side they are on and what they believe. But do not go around trying to cancel people for simply not being informed about a situation and don't push your opinions on them.
The writers not posting a TLOU fanfiction is not actively helping anyone.
Children, mothers, whole families are still getting murdered on both sides, regardless of whether someone makes a post or not.
If you really want to help, make donations. Go to protests. State sources and resources for people to access. Boycott the big brands.
But do not boycott the little writers who are simply following their hobbies with no bad intentions whatsoever because in the end we also have our own lifes, families to take care of and feed.
Blame the people responsible for the war. Not those who play no role in it.

You have no right to sit quietly like this.
Doesnt matter what you're doing. Do something. Spread awareness, donate, contribute to protests, boycott.
Do whatever you can. Dont ever seal your mouth and sit quiet.
This is not the time to be neutral.
Go out there, get educated and speak tf up. Use our voice. Be their voice. Be the voice of the oppressed.
Why is everyone so quiet about this. Why is no one speaking up anymore? This is not a damn trend for it to just die down and rise whenever it wants to.
Keep speaking. Be a headache to the people around you if you have to. Dont ever sit still like a statue.
You used your voice for the feminism. You used your voice for the rights of lgbt community. Why arent you using the same voice for the people of gaza and Palestine? Why has your voices died down?
Speak tf up.

Our government is threatening to invade the fucking Hague. How THE FUCK can folks continue to pretend the U.S. is on the right side of history?
If you earnestly support Israel at this point in history, you are human scum. You are a fascist. You are pro-genocide. If you were born in the 1910s, you would have adamantly supported Hitler. You are a fucking monster. And nothing will ever convince me otherwise. You are a racist, white supremacist, fascist piece of living garbage and should consider self-deletion.
Not knowing is no excuse. This genocide has been ongoing for seven months. Every human rights group on the planet has been speaking out about it. Protestors have been occupying major streets and campuses across the country to stop the slaughter.
If you are still ignorant, it is willful ignorance and it is absolutely no better than supporting genocide directly. If you have not become aware of what is happening at this point, it is your fault for not caring and you should be judged for it.
You either boycott, donate, protest, speak out, or you are complicit in genocide.

i saw this graph in Motaz Azaiza's story today and i was so shocked, i had no words. but as someone who studied statistics, i'm gonna try my best to paint you a picture of the numbers.
before we get into it, this is not to say that the lives lost in the Ukrainian war are worth less, this is simply to show a comparison, to make people see how incredibly violent the Israeli occupation is. this perfectly shows that they target civilians, which makes it a genocide, not a war.
we’re nearing the death toll of the Ukrainian war and it has not even been a month, while the war - an actual war - there has been going on for almost two years. more civilians have been injured in Gaza in less than a month, than in Ukraine in the span of almost two years.
the number of children who lost their lives in Gaza in less than a month is six times more than the children who lost their lives in Ukraine in almost two years. the number of injured children in Gaza in less than a month is eighth time more than the children who had been injured in Ukraine in almost two years.
the people who lost their lives in Ukraine in almost two years is nearly equal to the number of injured children in Gaza in less than a month.
out of all the people who were killed in Ukraine in almost two years only 5.8% of them were children. out of all the people who were killed in Gaza in less than a month 41.5% of them were children. that's very close to 50%, which means that it's almost half of them.
out of all the people who were injured in Ukraine in almost two years 6.7% of them are children. out of all the people who were injured in Gaza in less than a month 40% of them are children. again, very close to half.
i feel like i cannot stress it enough that the numbers in Ukraine, the deaths and injuries happened in almost TWO YEARS. while the deaths and injuries in Gaza, which is so so much smaller than Ukraine, happened in LESS THAN A MONTH.
the area of the Gaza Strip is 365 km² and the area of Ukraine is 603.628 km². the Gaza Strip does not even make up 1% of the whole area of Ukraine.
this is a genocide.
it's loud and clear, it's been unfolding in front of our eyes and the supposed leaders of this world still choose to do absolutely nothing to stop this.
i urge you to go to protests, sign petitions, donate if you can, contact your local representatives and demand a ceasefire. boycott the companies who support this genocide. stay informed, share posts and videos, repost/reblog and do not give up.
the people in Gaza do not have a voice and all they ask from us is to be their voice. that's literally the bare minimum any person could do. don't give up, don't forget even if there are less posts on your social media feed. do not let them silence you. continue to speak up for Palestine.

I see many misguided posts about how to help Palestine, the most important things you can do are:
- Donations are not making it into the country, but you can give Palestinian citizens eSIMS FOR FREE! this amazing woman is organising a project called Connecting Gaza, DM her and she'll set you up to make a difference by giving internet access to the people in Gaza who have lost all telecommunication infrastructure
- Research if there are Palestine shops in your city, or pop-ups, that sell products from Palestine. Yes, you won't be guaranteed that the money you spend is able to make a difference in the country, but it can make a difference in your community and show solidarity whilst keeping Palestinian culture alive. Anyone of any ethnicity or religion (as it is not a religious cloth and is usually used like any other scarf/headdress) can wear a kefije, as it is an international symbol of solidarity with Palestine.
- Boycott according to the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) guide. Here's their website, you can boycott more than just products and companies too! That link is to a recent post on their website, here is the 'standard' list of companies. They're not that many, and it's not that hard. In addition, many are boycotting McDonald's for donating meals to the IDF (at least 12 000), and Starbucks for suing its union over a social media post in support of Palestine. A BOYCOTT MEANS NO BUSINESS. NOT DESTROYING PROPERTY, NOT GETTING RID OF THE THINGS YOU HAVE, BUT NOT GIVING YOUR MONEY TO THESE COMPANIES. Except I would get rid of your SodaStream or any other product from the lists that forces you to purchase more products from that company.
- Protest! Manifest, disrupt, make your voice heard!! Tear down those fucking posters!! Protect your identity, it's becoming increasingly risky. But that doesn't mean you can simply skip it.
EVERY MESSAGE THAT MAKES IT OUT OF PALESTINE IS CRYSTAL CLEAR: DON'T STAY SILENT, HELP THEM SHOW THE WORLD WHAT IS HAPPENING. NEVER STOP SPEAKING ABOUT PALESTINE AND PUTTING PRESSURE ON THE PEOPLE WITH POWER TO DO SOMETHING. SHOW THE BEAUTY AND HUMANITY OF PALESTINE.
IF YOU'RE IN THE UNITED STATES AND CALLING YOUR REPRESENTATIVES, HERE IS A GUIDE FOR HOW TO MAKE THE MOST IMPACT
THIS PERSON ALSO SHARED THIS WHICH GIVES SOME IMPORTANT NUANCE AND DETAILS ABOUT THIS METHOD

alot of you actually dont care about palestine. some of you want brownie points for even “supporting.” but you don’t actually do anything to support.
example: this may be a weird thing, but this brittani broski shit. shes spoken up about politics, blm, womens rights, yet cant talk about palestine.
me personally, i wouldve thought that she would be pro palestine, but i cant assume that.
at first she did have a bad reaction to the backlash, then the “back peddling,” saying that “creators should talk about whats going on in gaze.” and most of you didnt accept this answer. would you prefer she double down and not do shit? i would prefer she think about what she said, and then come out and say she was wrong for what she was saying.
but back to the OP.
most of you dont care for palestine, and will attack people who dont just “speak out about it.”
i believe that if you cared, you would call politicians, go to protests, donate, and educate yourself about Israeli land vs palestine land, (i say this because not a whole lot of people know what land is what.)
its the same when the BLM movement came back hard and people only posted a black screen, then called it a day. (this doesnt show support nor attention.)
and before you get your panties in a twist:
i am for palestine, i have donated to several charities, boycotted, and protested, even rioted.
i am not a broski fan, because she doesnt resonate with me.
me not having a watermelon in my bio ≠ im a zionist, and to the anon who suggested that? youre a dumbass.
please stop shaming people for working with companies during the boycott. (ie, if you started working at mcdonalds before the boycott) because do you see the job market rn?
ending this note off, please do all you can to donate and support palestine.
