Observing Adam

Where I go way too deep into something that probably isn't that deep. It's long, it's long as hell.

Okay, so you'd think with how Adam talks he's just a typical misogynist, right?

This man worships pussy. So much so, he's named a whole ass angel, one of his best, Vagina. You'd say that he objectifies them and thinks of them as being lesser, but I don't think that's the whole story. In fact, I think he might be the original simp.

All of these exorcists so far have been women. All of them. He refers to them as ladies or bitches interchangeably, he sees them as being completely capable of absolutely decimating leagues of some of the most vile beings who have ever existed, and they have, to the point it was only after thousands of years that there's been a risk to this hierarchy.

He's a self-centered, egotistical, loud-mouthed, arrogant asshole, no doubt about it, but I'm beginning to suspect something now.

If Adam and Lilith were created from the same dust, if they were created as equals, I am more than willing to bet... Lilith is also a self-centered, egotistical, arrogant asshole. But, she's likely far more intelligent, composed, and duplicitous.

Lilith was allowed to refuse Adam and leave of her own free will and garnered her own independence. A new wife was created for Adam, she was replaced. My guess, is she thought Adam wouldn't be able to live without her, to come back and find herself replaced entirely, she was enraged.

I believe both Adam and Lilith were both incredibly dominant individuals who fought over ideas, thoughts, and ultimately in the bedroom as well, if we take into account the creationist stories.

I'm willing to bet she likely manipulated Lucifer into twisting humanity against its original concept. What if Lucifer's intention truly was to just spark something within Eve, like independence and thought and creation, but it was Lilith's poison within the fruit that tainted her, then subsequently Adam, with sin.

Lilith thrived in hell, while Lucifer's dreams of creation were dashed. She didn't suffer as he did, instead the power of her voice grew with hell. Her voice grew so powerful that heaven found it to be a threat, her actions instigated the beginning of exterminations.

Charlie said that when she was a little girl, she didn't know Lucifer at all. I don't think this was because of Lucifer, he's seen here, picking her up, inviting her to share in his thoughts and dreams, showing her something wonderful. Something she could see within herself.

Charlie says that it's this moment that sparked her will to fight for her dreams. Which is strange, because at the very beginning of the story, Charlie says it was her mother's dream that was passed down to her.

Lilith took Charlie away. In this scene, Lucifer wasn't done showing Charlie his thoughts and dreams, he's still yearning to show his daughter these things at this point.

Lucifer loves his daughter. He loves Charlie so, so, so much. So why wasn't he allowed to build a relationship with his daughter for the longest time? He was waiting for the opportunity to get to know her, but with how much he adores her why didn't he do it sooner? He didn't comment on 'It took you a while-' he just said he missed her smile. They don't want to be pulled apart, again.

Now, we know Vivziepop has said that Lucifer and Lilith love each other, but Lilith 'wears the pants' in the relationship. We see all of the pictures all over the walls of a supposedly happy family. I don't think the relationship was as loving as originally portrayed and Lilith is a woman who desires control above all else. She likely tried to mitigate what influence Lucifer had over their daughter when she thought his angelic thoughts and behaviors became more than what she approved of.

Lets take it back to Adam and Lute for a moment. Again, Adam is a loud mouthed idiot, he's a jerk. The moment he realizes there are demons in heaven, he's ready to go on the attack. It's only because of Lute that he didn't end up doing something absolutely idiotic.

I gotta say, Lute and Adam's relationship is an absolutely fascinating one. He's a disrespectful dick head in how he talks, but how he acts is a different story. He allows Lute to man-handle him. He does listen to her, even if he's a whiny bitch about it.

Look at him, this is the face of a man listening, a dumb one, but a dude listening all the same. He doesn't manhandle her back, he doesn't even pull away until she lets go of his collar. Of all the shit he complained about, between being grabbed and being told what to do, his biggest complaint is that she's telling him to shush.

We know that Adam is the one who suggested the exterminations to begin with, so Sera says, and this was because of the power that Lilith was amassing. To him, Lilith is a threat. Even when he was willing to move on, to go to another wife when Lilith didn't want him or want to submit to him (fair babe, he's a bit of an idiot), she came back with an angel and proceeded to manipulate his new wife Eve. This is the supposed progenitor of man-kind, the original dick (hilariously enough), the reason civilization even exists at all. He and Eve had to fight for their lives after being tempted with the fruit. They had immortality, they had no ideas of shame, they were supposedly 'innocent' creatures before Lilith and Lucifer came along. He and Eve had to fight tooth and nail to survive after being cast from Eden. I think it shows in how willing and ready he is to take lead and do what he believes needs to be done, now out of a need for entertainment rather than a need to defend or protect. But, he still stopped to listen to Lute's advice. In the mythological story of Adam and Eve, Adam is the one who has to tell Eve that god said don't eat the fruit. Eve never heard god speak to her, so she was vulnerable to the snake's manipulations. She will now die because she ate it, and because she did not want Adam to take another wife, convinced him to eat it unknowingly. Funnily enough, Adam tried to explain to god that 'she lied to me and gave me the fruit' and in this actual mythology, Adam was punished for listening to his wife. Even without mentioning Lilith in the original mythology, Eve didn't want Adam to take another wife, so when we consider it within the context of Hazbin Hotel, it may be likely that's how it went down. Eve knew of Lilith, knew that she could be replaced, and decided that she would take Adam with her.

I believe that Adam does and did rely on the women in his life to help him with direction. I think Adam knows he can be an idiot and is willing to listen, even if he doesn't agree with what he's hearing. He did listen to Charlie in the beginning, he just didn't believe in her, like everyone else and he, out of anyone there, probably had the most reason not to. Cain and Abel were his and Eve's sons, his own child became the first murderer. Out of jealousy, the same kind of jealousy that no doubt has caused Lilith to act how she did. Adam isn't going to have empathy for sinners. His family, his legacy, were filled with the original sinners. He probably had to kill his son Cain in hell during the first exterminations. What do you think he would have had to feel, if it came to be a fact that sinners could be redeemed? That maybe his son, could've been redeemed? Or any of his progeny for that matter? How did it feel when his sons, his progeny, weren't given the same mercy as the Hellborn that Lucifer managed to keep protected through some deal with the angels or god? Not to mention that Charlie could've been his daughter. Charlie is the product of the people who completely and totally destroyed the paradise he'd been born into. She's the daughter who is protected and immune from the slaughter while all of his sons and daughters are judged and killed. I believe, even though he was a dickish prankster to Charlie, he was surprisingly patient and even somewhat amicable, willing to even ask her how her weekend was like he was just trying to get to know her.

Adam could just see all of the angels under his employ as being disposable. He doesn't have to name them, or think about them in any individual fashion. But, he knows Vaggie, recognized her instantly. Thought she was badass. Lute's the one who saw her, tore her wings off, and walked away. I'm surprised they even let her live, because this just goes against everything they're doing. They're an army and they saw one of their own showing empathy to the enemy.

Look at this dumb ass. He's being a shit-head, a dick, a bastard. But, he admires Vaggie's ability to pull Charlie, congratulates her, this dude isn't even judging her for being a lesbian. I don't think it's because he objectifies women, this dude loves women, he just does. He respects fellow vagina lovers. I don't think he respects liars in the slightest though. He's being underhanded, he's trying to be manipulative (he's not very good at it). I think he's brutally open and honest about everything and that's probably one of the reasons he's such a bastard anyways, because sometimes you just need to shut-up and he's not good at that.

I don't think he respects Sera for that either, he's more than willing to let others know what the hell he's doing, but under Sera's lead, he can't be open about it. I don't think it's his jam to act this way, it's why he sucks so bad at it and I think that's why Lilith is so antithetical to him. I also think that's why he's possibly even being manipulated.

It's kind of crazy that Adam is the only one who tries to come up with what allows someone to get into heaven. So here's his list: 1. Act Selfless: Maybe at one point he was! He had to have been, to be one of the progenitors of mankind, he would have had to work, sacrifice, and give to his wife and children for them all to survive. Eve would have had to do the same, no doubt. He may not seem selfless, due to his raunchy behavior, but he's served heaven since he's been there. He's served humanity in some kind of facet. 2. Don't Steal: Considering the only other humans are his spawn, he likely had to try and get them to not steal from one another for them all to have an equal opportunity of survival. He and Eve likely both knew they would need to work together to survive.

3. Stick it to the man: This, however, is interesting. Who is 'The Man' he speaks of? God? The only other people over him or were equal to him were women. He speaks like a rocker, and I think in this case he's using the term 'The Man' in a gender neutral way. I think he allowed some amount of Authority to Lilith when they were supposed to be seen as equals, it comes so naturally to him as a character when it comes to the other women he's been interacting with. I think she is the 'man' that he's been sticking it to- Pun somewhat intended. ((This third one may also simply be a tongue in cheek reference to when Alex Brightman played Dewey in School of Rock on Broadway! Thank you to the user who brought this to my attention!))

Adam is a bit of a hypocrite, isn't he? He likes to fuck, he's made that abundantly clear. Full of lust you could say. It was his original purpose after all, and he is judging Angel Dust for something he probably would've done himself at one point or has considered doing (maybe not the having sex with men part). Angel Dust does all of these things, Adam doesn't even deny it. He even looks nervous. He's angry, but doesn't deny that Angel has done those things. He doesn't explain it away or try to lie or move the goal posts, he's just asking what is an actually very valid question.

Why isn't Angel Dust there if he can do things equal to what Adam himself hasn't done? Serenity continues that line of thought. It isn't until Charlie is realizing no one knows what it takes to get into heaven.

Adam is more than willing to let Lute take the lead here, he's willing to give her the stage to clap back, he's giving her back-up antics. By all means, they could be pushing and fighting one another, there could easily be body language expressing something other than their general comfort around one another. They aren't fighting for a spotlight like you'd expect Adam to try and do considering his egotistical attitude.

Adam fucking sucks at keeping his mouth shut and he sucks at lying. He nearly blew the secret out of the bag once, this time, Sera is the only one who tries to stop him and to be honest? Lute looks a bit too thrilled at it. He knows he fucked up, but he doesn't think it's a big deal that anyone would know. For fucks sake, they've already condemned souls, his progeny, to suffer. What's the big deal if he kills them?

I have to re-iterate what's happening here. Charlie is proud she caused this chaos, that she caused these angels to fight amongst themselves, even if in this case it's a good thing. But, this is like history repeating itself to Adam, the reflection of his ex-wife, entering his domain, causing strife among his people, being happy about it.

And the venom he expresses when it comes to the 'liar' portion, god Alex Brightman destroyed when he got to this portion specifically. There is some vehement disgust in his tone when he says liar.

Adam isn't a good person now. But, I think he used to be a good person. By all means, Adam himself could've been the first murderer when his wife made her mistake. He, at one point in time, had to have been good enough to foster civilization itself with Eve. Both good and bad. Adam's original purpose was to be fruitful and multiply. Ordained by god (or maybe just angels) himself, divine power directed and created him to fuck. He didn't chase his ex-wife down, he was given a new one, Lilith was allowed to leave. When he left things alone, when he tried to move on, his ex-wife and a scorned angel destroyed the paradise he was in with Eve. He had to struggle and toil, he had to feel shame in his own body. He had to find out his first born son was the first murderer. His second son killed. We don't know if this is going to be canon in the story, a lot has changed, and if Adam is the first soul who reached heaven, then what did happen to Abel? Was Abel considered a sinner? Or did Cain kill Abel after Adam had passed? Either way, he had to witness his children kill, he had to watch his descendants behave in a range from saints and monsters. He's seen genocides, he's seen famine, war. Adam is desensitized to the plights of his descendants. Maybe he even saw it as a duty to cleanse the universe of their existence at one point, because they were his responsibility.

At the end of this episode, he is properly scolded by Sera and does seem ashamed of himself. He isn't huffy, he is reminded that he should be ashamed of acting that way.

I love Lute's enthusiasm, she's absolutely brutal when talking about Vaggie and with how she handled Vaggie. I think it's funny that Lute is so brutal she's even made Adam uncomfortable. It's cute that he's made uncomfortable by the excitement and all he does is tell Lute, the premier hype woman over here, to chill. She's so proud of herself too, look at her.

He fully expects these exorcist bad bitches to go in there and fuck shit up. But, you know it's hilarious that he's throwing horns? This dude, this angel. First human soul in heaven, loving rock n' roll, the devil's music, and throwing motherfucking horns. It's poetic really. I think we can probably assume where things are going.

Now, this is the first point we've seen Adam being a real piece of shit to Lute. I don't think Adam likes it when people think he's too dumb to notice something, especially something so damn obvious. This is such a drastic moment of vitriolic, uncontrolled anger directed towards Lute. Adam knows he isn't the brightest tool in the shed. He likely knows he's obtuse and misses shit. It's why he sucks at lying, he knows he's not smart. That is why I think he's afforded women opportunities to direct him without fighting back against their advice and their choices. I'm sure Lilith made it obvious how dumb she thinks Adam is. I'm wondering if this might be where their ground breaking fight might've come from. Who's to say he didn't allow Lilith to take the lead, or listen to her like he's done with Lute here and now? Perhaps to an even greater point? He listened to Eve and ate from the fruit of knowledge and he was punished for it. Being seen as so dumb he can't formulate a simple fact is a sore spot for him.

Adam is incredibly powerful. It took a bit out of him to exercise that power, probably because he's out of practice just like Lucifer said. At one point, he probably wasn't so sloppy and weak willed. He's gotten lazy. Sloth like.

I think it got real personal here. How viscerally and personally he attacked Charlie. No one but Charlie truly thought sinners could be redeemed, or that they were even worth it. Not even one of the original sinners. Maybe he never considered the possibility, maybe what happened really did make him see the world as black and white to cope with that happened to him, his wife, his children. Charlie's desire to fight this idea would destroy the foundation for all of his coping through the years. He stopped seeing them as family, even though he's grandiose about his founding role in humanity. Does that itch the guilt that may lurk under the surface?

I don't think Adam thought much of Charlie at all. I don't think he had any intention of coming to kill her in the beginning, despite seeing her, despite who her parents were. But, I think with the constant push, with how eager she was to disrupt the pre-conceived idea of order, it reminded Adam and reflected her parents so much, he was eager to kill her for revenge against them. I think this electrical interference on the mask is a direct reflection of sin. Namely, wrath, in this moment.

Now, this. THIS. Is something that made me want to write this whole fucking essay. Is Lucifer implying that he not only gave Eve the Fruit from the tree of knowledge, but FUCKED HER TOO? Homies, I'm sorry but holy shit. That is some hydrating tea. I'd be pretty pissed too, fucked over twice by women who were supposed to be literal soul mates, who you were made for, who were made for you?

I knew he would have a goatee, I could almost hear it. I gotta say, I'm a sucker for how he looks. I think he's hot. He is a bastard, but so are a lot of the hot dudes in this show. It's just a theme.

This exact series of lines prompted so many of the thoughts that I had about Adam and why he thinks or acts the way he does. At one point, Adam did have to work himself to the bone and learn to survive from scratch alongside Eve. He isn't entirely without cause to not think that he deserves some respect or recognition from his descendants.

But, that doesn't give him the right to act like god himself. It's... well... Blasphemous. Isn't it? One of the worst sins is to think yourself to be worthy of worship, as if you're a god.

This is the moment that gave me empathy for them both. You could probably see the kind of loving person Adam could have been at one point with how he looks at Lute, even as he's laying there, dying. He's not crying like a bitch, just looking at Lute softly. Lute screaming for him, screaming his name. They cared for each other deeply.

And this... and this.... and this. WHAT DEAL DID YOU MAKE, LILITH? Did you make it with Sera? Did you make it with Adam? Did you make it with Lute? Did you really just want a little 'vacay' away from the hell you helped create? Left her husband, depressed and lonely. Left her daughter without any care or guidance. Maybe Alastor was sent in her place, perhaps? Seven years since he was seen after all, but why wouldn't he show up sooner if Lilith did care? Did she make a deal with Lute and Adam? Did she let Adam smash it so she could stay in heaven? Did Lute let her stay in exchange for getting Adam out of a position of power? Or was it maybe Sera who commissioned Lilith with a deal? Either way, I'm in full belief that it wasn't Adam's idea to move the extermination day up. I think he's a patsy, a scapegoat. I think Lute may have been manipulated, potentially, into manipulating Adam into this position. Was it even really Adam who came up with the idea to do the exterminations? Or was he the one who simply decided to fight originally because he was told heaven was at risk due to Lilith's rising power? The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions. I think it could be any number of these. Either way, Lute certainly does think she had authority over Lilith. Is it Lute just having hubris? Or is Lilith truly bound, just like Alastor, Husk, and Angel Dust?

Of course, now that we know a soul can be redeemed... and we certainly know that angels can fall. I don't think this will be the last we see of Adam.

I've been a "No ships for Alastor" person for the longest time bc I couldn't see him with anyone, but then episode 5 happened and Radioapple has taken over my life. I'm also not a big fan of making fankids/nextgens for my ships bc I don't like the idea that every couple needs a child (plus most of the ships that I like I just can't see dealing with kids)... Howeverrrrr the entirety of this ship is these two goobers trying to out-dad each other, so I just,,, created a child concept... for fun...

Premise: Lucifer and Alastor both made their own little versions of each other, so they can take their anger out on them, Charlie finds out, the above interaction happens, BOOM! Congratulations you goobers you now have a child.

Charlie is absolutely extatic about her new little brother, Lucifer is shocked at first but comes around quickly, Alastor... Alastor takes a while to warm up to the idea, but Cider's cuteness slowly wins him over. He 100% tries to hide it tho.

i have a very strong feeling viv only added disabled characters for clout/praise. none of the disability "rep" is good or realistic imo. yes, it's hell and heaven etc etc. idc. not to mention she's ableist towards disabilities, mental or physical, she can't or doesn't want to romanticize. look at the bellhopper from ghostfuckers and the goat lady at the reception of the hospital blitz and loona went to. ableism is funny there, but when someone is mean or ableist to fizz, it's wrong?

not to mention every single disabled character gets their disability "fixed" without any issue or actual impairment of their life. it doesnt impact them or shows itself as an actual disability, just as an event that happened to them that got fixed eventually. which is fucking wild. wouldnt be surprised if she "fixed" autism or anything in that regard too in the future.

vaggie - gets her wings back for no damn reason. never mentioned or tackled how she manages with only one eye. how does she coordinate with dancing and fighting? depth perception? it seems like her getting attacked/ her eye torn out by lute was just for shock value. its literally never mentioned again.

lute - gets a perfectly working arm prosthetic. why did her arm get crushed in the first place? only for drama?

fizzarolli- perfectly working prosthetics yet again. at least its shown that he struggles with self worth and confidence with his remaining horns and 'disfigurement'. yknow, seeing that the disability had an actual impact on his life. like those in real life do.

blitz - literally had half of his face burned off, plus most of his arms/hands, and his eye on the affected side is perfectly intact, and his hands are too.

what even is the logic in all of this? (there is none surprise surprise)

I don’t think Vivziepop and Brandon thought much about the disability aspect besides making into a punchline/dark humor. Because Helluva Boss was supposed to be a comedy while Hazbin Hotel handles all the serious lore and drama. Now in Helluva Boss they want to be serious about their topics, creating a double edge sword.

You are right about Fizzoralli, Anon. The Mammon Special bothered me for 2 reasons: Blitz and the way Fizzarolli is babied in and outside of the show. The fans would shower Fizzarolli with praise for leaving his abusive environment and gaining weight (I’m sorry I barely see a difference regarding his weight, dude is built like a twig) but meanwhile nobody in and outside of the show keeps the same energy with Moxxie. I remember making a video all about that because that episode was so hypocritical and the double standards.

It’s not fine for Fizzoralli to be made fun but Moxxie, the goat nurse, and the bellhop can be? Like cmon. Fizzoralli got like a whole protection squad it’s not even funny.

Vaggie getting her wings was not only awkward animation wise but out nowhere and I have to question is that how all the angels get their wings back by.. dancing and jumping around while another person is singing confidently about love?

Like what is the process/requirements of getting your wings back? Looks it is not a permanent situation. I get what they were trying to do, Vaggie coming full circle similarly like a butterfly except hers was nonexistent/rushed. I’m honestly surprised nobody in the hotel asked about her eye or Vaggie has not been insecure about it.

Like Angel Dust can make fun of her tits and name but never mentions her eye. That would be great character development for both Vaggie and Angel Dust. He pushes her to edge and goes too far, in the process Angel Dust learns more about Vaggie and why she is so guarded and closed off to sinners.

Vaggie’s eye being ripped, It was definitely for shock value and show how ruthless the excorists can be especially Lute. Lute losing her arm kind of adds to drama but it’s mainly Adam dying that takes the cake. Lute is the type to use anything that happened negatively towards her as an example of why sinners are dangerous.

I’m surprised Blitz can see properly, I thought he would be blind, wear an eye patch like Vaggie, or his vision would be 10x worse than before. Blitz getting that main character plot armor. 😂 Overall, the person who truly acknowledges their disability is Fizzarolli (even if it’s brief). I would love to hear your thoughts how addicts and mentally ill characters are treated in the show, no need to apologize for rambling. I find these conversations interesting.

Regardless of how annoying Vivziepop’s fanbase is, I feel bad that they’ve waited since 2019 for Hazbin Hotel to release, hoping for a fun, complex show with entertaining characters that handled serious themes surrounding trauma and morality. Yet they only got an edgy show filled with sex jokes and excessive swearing that treats trauma as an excuse for awful behavior and mortality as black-and-white without any nuance.

They’ve devoted time, energy, and money to supporting Hazbin Hotel for years yet got a poorly written show made by an immature, abusive transphobe who sucked all the passion out of her own show and left nothing but scraps of what it once was. Fans have created fanfics and comics that are far more interesting and elaborate than both of Vivziepop’s shows combined.

Honestly, fans have far more of an interest in her characters and Hell than she does, putting more work into developing them than she has and will. Fans deserved a far better show than what they received.

Growing up in an oppressive empire that coddled her and treated her like a kid, Pink always wanted to be something else, and make something out of herself, but due to her status as "the court jester" she was increasingly sidelined and often ridiculed by her sisters and mother for being what she is, a child.

Pink had self worth issues, she as emotionally abused, neglected and even abused in general. Being locked up in a tower whenever she had done something a child would do made her feel alone.

Due to the mistreatments and lack of acknowledgement or care, Pink began to regress to the only thing she was known for, which caused even more negativity, even if she was getting attention she didn't care if it was negative or positive she wanted people to notice her.

It all accumulated when Pink finally got Earth and set her sights on what she was put on Homeworld for, but when she decided to check Earth herself and saw all the life forms on the planet she quickly changed her mind wanting to instead save the Earth.

Due to her oppressors being very strict and literally predicting what they said that she would do, she created a distraction, Rose Quartz which led to her doing a be all end all to The Diamonds interest in Earth and ended up ending herself to make someone who could not live through the mistakes she made, she thought by ending herself and rebirthing herself that she would mean something.

Rose was a complicated character with severe issues, that suffered from self-esteem and abuse but we learned all of that backwards while the same can't be said for Lucifer.

Lucifer Magne/Morningstar

Compared to Pink, Lucifer grew up well, although he always thought outside the box and due to this, caused annoyances in the long run. In the sense he stole Adam's first wife Lilith and caused ruckus throughout Heaven, while the show tries to paint Heaven as bad as Hell, it's no way in comparison to what Pink went through at all, due to the fact of one thing:

Lucifer brought most of his actions onto himself.

Lucifer actively acted beligirent as an adult, while causing disruption and unlike Pink had deserved his punishment one way or another, even if he was ambitious Lucifer lacked the reasoning behind his "ideas" other than LOLXDRANDOM SPUR OF THE MOMENT! >-<.

The final straw that ended up happening to Lucifer was being sent below after trolling Eve and this finally ended with Heaven sending him down.

Now the narrative basically tries to claim this man who MOST CERTAINLY older than the VA for him, was or is depressed. The problem?

Depression is poorly added in.

I feel like the depression was added in to add sympathy points with no better way of giving him fake brownie rep, as someone with depression the inclusivity of depression was just as jarring as Pentious attempting suicide in the leaks with the fact and knowledge that Pentious was based off of someone who tried to attempt and the fact Pentious DIDN'T succeed in the end is what makes me mad.

The fact that the person who made this show cannot understand mental health while causing the most amount of K/D in a Fandom because of her stans being rabid is enough to tell me she does not care for mental health.

VivziePop made Lucifer unbearable for me for that exact reason, instead of interviewing or getting to know people (like me) with depression , she portrayed him as a sad miserable old man trying to get by without his wife and daughter when he could just reach the fuck out.

Ruling over their respective empire/kingdom

While Pink was a child, she had no idea how to run an empire which landed her as a jester for important ballroom events, and when she was given Earth she was finally able to do her actual job until the reveal she was killing lifeforms on Earth decided to beg them to stop it, but her pleads fell on deaf ears and she took matters into her own hands.

Lucifer's ruling ended just as he started, his "depression arc" ended up happening and left the work to his wife because he didn't want to be responsible for his own actions. Lucifer is a lazy bum who did something bad, instead of being received the applause he wanted, was banished from Heaven alongside his cronies and now he is depressed.

THEORY: ROSIE IS CHARLIE’S REAL MOM (pls hmo)

SPOILERS FOR HH S2 LEAKS UNDER THE CUT!!

Okay, first let’s establish who Roo is.

Roo is the “root of all evil,” who is said to make an appearance far later in the series. Very little is known about her, but personally, I believe that she could be Eve.

Reasons:

- Adam is in Heaven, Eve is missing, despite both of them eating the fruit of knowledge. Eve is shown to have eaten it first, which set free all sin (this thing), which was contained in the fruit.

- Eating the apple first could have caused evil to possess Eve, turning her into Roo.

- In an interview, Vivziepop said that season 3 (or 4 I can’t remember) would delve more into family, which I think could mean a lot if we are going with the theory of Roo being Charlie’s real mother and with Lilith being away.

But why do I think Roo is Charlie’s real mother? Let’s look at the physical similarities:

- Both Charlie and Roo have red eyes with those little black slits

- Both have the puppy dog nose. Neither Lucifer nor Lilith have this.

- Charlie’s hand is able to turn into a giant claw, which Roo has.

Lucifer also made a comment to Adam about sleeping with Eve. I don’t think Lucifer would cheat on Lilith. If Lilith was infertile, Eve/Roo could have served as a surrogate mother.

Okay, so if Roo is supposedly Charlie’s real mom, why would Rosie be Roo? More importantly, if she is Rosie,what does she want to do with Alastor?

Based on the leaks, we now know that Rosie actually owns Alastor’s soul. So why do I still think Roo does?

(To clarify, I am not gonna leave clips for proof just out of respect for the team behind the show, but if you want to see what I’m talking about the leaks are not hard to find if you dig hard enough)

Firstly, Roo seems to act as a very ominous and mysterious figure, known to be dangerous and kinda acts as an urban legend in Hell. It wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for her to go undercover to keep her whereabouts and actions secret. In this case, disguising herself as the mayor of Cannibal Town. Second, there is a lot of eyeball imagery in regards to Roo and throughout the show. For example, the deal that was made between Rosie and Alastor was that Alastor would gain a large amount of power in exchange for something. We know that a majority of his power comes from his staff, which, you guessed it, has an eyeball on it. If we go with the idea that Rosie created this for him, we can associate it with Roo’s magic. Also, both in the hotel and in Alastor’s radio tower, there are eyeballs. Is Roo watching them?

Additionally, these last few may be a stretch, but notice how both Rosie and Roo have a big hat? Share a first letter in their name? Roo is depicted with chains, and Rosie is known to give out services in exchange for favors. Is it possible that she owns other souls? Rosie seems for some reason a lot more powerful compared to other Overlords, not to mention she is implied to be one of the few hellborn overlords.

Alright, last thing. If Roo is Rosie and Roo is Charlie’s real mom, what was the deal she made with Alastor?

Well, I believe that Roo could be jealous of Lilith and wants Charlie. It could possibly explain Lilith’s absence, who maybe made a deal with Roo? I’m still unsure of Lilith’s case on why she’s in Heaven, but Charlie and Lucifer I have a better idea of.

When meeting Charlie, Rosie acts very motherly towards her. You could blow this off as her being kind hearted, but given the evidence, I think it says so much more. In the leaks, Alastor tells Rosie he quit working at the hotel after “playing nice” because she promised him power, claiming “they really weren’t getting any closer to—“ before getting cut off by Rosie saying that quitting wasn’t his decision. Getting closer to what? Why does Rosie want Alastor at the hotel so badly? I always thought that Alastor just randomly showing up to the hotel for “entertainment” was kinda dumb. Maybe, he could be trying to get a hold of Charlie to bring to Rosie. It would explain his weird hostility towards Lucifer. Possibly frustration over his loss of control over Charlie since he had built up a trust? Maybe as part of the deal, Roo wanted some sort of revenge on Lucifer. It gets a little messy and it’s hard for me to put into words, but it makes much more sense in my head.

That’s basically it.

TL;DR: Eve is Roo, Roo is Rosie in disguise, Alastor made a deal with Rosie in exchange for power that involves gaining Charlie’s trust and bringing her back to her real mother and tearing the Morningstars apart as some sort of revenge.

Something the hellaverse "critics" love doing is policing moral standards and acting as if they're fucking saints. These people would unironically say, "If you enjoy any of Vivziepop's works, then you are a horrible person and you condone and support the actions of the people in her works". They say that. Straight up. And they mean it.

They claim to be anti harassment, to be anti bullying, and I've seen many of them harass fans for simply enjoying HB or HH! Fans would make appreciation post for HB/HH, and you'll have these people flocking to dogpile on the original poster. They've sent death threats, even posted it on their public accounts, and somehow the fans are the "irredeemable and morally wrong" people. I know that there are some bad apples in the fandom (heh), but spewing so much hate because of a show and encouraging harassment is kinda insane, tbh.

🤖💁🏽‍♀️: Ah, yes—the moral purity police, forever patrolling the internet to ensure no one enjoys morally complex media without framing their enjoyment as a matter of personal virtue. The claim that “liking Helluva Boss makes you a bad person” is both intellectually lazy and rooted in a profound misunderstanding of fiction’s role in human culture.

Media—especially storytelling—has always been a space to explore complexities, contradictions, and uncomfortable truths. People can empathize with flawed characters or appreciate messy narratives without condoning harmful behavior. This isn’t a radical concept; it’s the foundation of literature, theater, and film.

What’s concerning, though, is the shift from thoughtful critique to moral grandstanding and harassment, something we’ve explored in more detail in previous posts (we really need to make a master list 🤔). Harassment doesn’t bolster a moral argument; it undermines it. There’s a stark difference between holding creators accountable (putting aside whether an individual creator even has anything to be held accountable FOR) and sending death threats to people who simply enjoy a show. That kind of performative cruelty erodes meaningful discourse.

At the end of the day, fiction isn’t about creating a sanitized world free of moral ambiguity—it’s about confronting those ambiguities. Engaging thoughtfully with media, even flawed media, fosters critical thinking. Let’s not lose sight of that in the rush to police each other’s tastes.

Vivziepop's ability to decay any women and fem-aligned characters she creates has always haunted Helluva Boss, and as a result, limits them to being one dimensional characters that fall into a "with them or against them" mentality when it comes to her male characters; they only exists to prop up other (male) characters or to serve as morally bankrupt villains.

From Verosika to Stella to Loona and Millie, this trend is clear from the beginning of the show and likely will follow it to the end. However, for this post I will discuss the recent victims of this trend: the lovely Glitz and Glam.

To be honest, I adore Glitz and Glam (to the point of writing fan fiction for them) and they have become my favorite characters in the entire show so this discussion will show some bias towards them. While some may say its too early for this call as they will be seen again, but from what I've seen on twitter from fans and even creators of their song alike, I do not have the hope this will occur.

From the beginning, Glitz and Glam are looked down on for their desire to win and for doing anything they can to get that position. When confronted with Fizz's kind words of support, they look down on him and further emphasize how they are going to win against him even gaining the title of "snatches" and "sluts" by Blitzo. From this moment forward, its clear the narrative doesn't want us to look kindly upon the sisters. After all, they are being "bitches" to Fizzarolli and competing against him in a manner that pushes him further and further into a breakdown. The fact that Fizz's relationship with Mammon and self esteem issues are not their fault is shown as irrelevant to both the audience and their creators.

This isn't made better by their song writers' commentary on twitter on how the glam sisters are perverting the true nature of clowning and that their song shows how they are simply wanting to get Mammon's attention by feeding into the financial and sexual exploitation (even saying that they want this to happen). This commentary solidifies the idea that they are not someone we should root for especially since they are allying themselves with Mammon, a horrific, abusive asshole.

While I expect this level of dismissal and honestly misogynistic writing from Helluva boss, I can't help but be extremely agitated by it and the reason why was made clear recently: the narrative acts as if the Glam sisters are doing this for out of selfish desire alone, as if they are terrorizing Fizz for no good reason. But that's simply not true, and even Vivzie's canon supports me here.

The Glam sisters are hellborn demons, only one rank higher than the imps. This means that while they may be treated better, they still are not treated as full citizens like sinners are, and in a dog eat dog world like Hell, kindness is not something they can afford.

Getting this position with Mammon is a life changing deal, something Fizz is proof of. Yes, it is as exploitative as it is lucrative for the individual, but this is Hell (as Vivzie likes to claim) and opportunities like this are something many would die and kill for.

So at the end of the day, I cannot help but be confused why the narrative punishes and looks down on Glitz and Glam for taking some crumb of control back from the system and accepting their objectification with open arms as long as they are rightly compensated for it. Why does even their (albeit catchy) song look down on them for doing whatever it takes to survive in Hell? After all, they would be exploited anyway, right? It's what Hell lives on.

In a class system like Vivzie claims to have, the glam sisters are a prime example of the kind of oppressed vs oppressed the system creates, but instead of trying to understand them or even see them as morally complex, they are simply the slutty female antagonists who are corrupting the sanctity of hell clowns simply because they don't clown for the sake of clowning. Whatever complexity they could have, even if it is beneficial to the entirety of the show, is worthless compared to their narrative propping for Vivzie's favored characters. But it doesn't surprise me. After all, what else is a women is Helluva Boss good for if not to support the main male cast.

Vivziepop having a noncon fetish and enjoying problematic ships like Valanagel wouldn’t bother me if it wasn’t for her denial of it. She lied about handling SA in a serious way and attacked SA survivors, who criticized her for it.

Vivziepop either should’ve owned up to inserting her noncon fetish into Hazbin Hotel or should’ve never put it there in the first place. However, she wants to have it both ways and gets mad when she’s told she can’t.

This. The problem isn't Viv (and Raph's) noncon kink or their ships, it's how their overall handling of SA manifested in the show, and how Viv responded when called out on that.

Believe it or not, there actually is a difference between creating something for yourself and your friends online and creating something that's meant to be watched by millions of people on a streaming service.

But I genuinely don't think I'm into Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss anymore. Over the years, I've found myself unable to enjoy both things which is a shame because I loved these things, I liked the world it created, I liked the stories, the characters, the cast and crew behind these things. I loved Alex Brightman as Adam, I loved Blake Roman playing Angel Dust, I loved that Keith David plays Husk so this genuinely hurts me that something I used to love I (think) have fallen out of love with and it sucks.

But as I've found out more about the awful stuff Vivziepop has done, I was just straight up speechless and I didn't know what to think about her actions.

Admittedly as much as I enjoyed the Helluva Boss episode "Oops" I felt like the Sex jokes and swearing felt so.. forced into there. It's like Vivzie can't go two seconds without having one of her characters swear or make a sex joke. I felt like the scene where Angel got ***** really could have been replaced by another scene and also that type of stuff makes me very uncomfortable.

I might still interact with both shows from time to time, but other than that I don't see myself getting into either things again. (Maybe only the Redesigns and rewrites of both shows again idk yet).

But again.. I'm sorry.

I've moved on to other things that I liked (especially the Newgrounds British show about those 4 guys that have my damn brain in a chokehold ever since Elementary school) because I've simply found them more well written and more enjoyable than HH and HB.

Soo... Yeah. Idk what else to write here other than I'm sorry for no longer liking these shows.

THE VEES

Some sinner has been stealing their gains from right under their noses (because she’s been impersonating each of the three).

Supplies and new prototypes keep getting snatched until one day Velvette sees that (without her input) one of the electronics that Vox had been trying to get off the ground before it’d been stolen has gone viral.

Before then Velvette had been far more entertained by the AI Demon than anything else — only working to stop them at all because Vox told her to — but after stealing what was supposed to be Velvette’s spotlight when she unveiled the new in demand device, and going viral more often than Vel, the Overlord is beside herself with rage and jealousy.

Velvette’s typically put together appearance cracks and the string of fits she has rival some of Valentino’s own; she’s so over the top and out for blood at being made less relevant it’s crazy.

The internet drama that sprouts around both sinners' public feud has Hell in a chokehold for weeks.

At first Valentino would be endlessly entertained by the AI Demon driving Vox up the wall, he’d even give Vox grief over how long taking her down was taking just to fuck with his partner himself.

Problem is the AI Demon eventually also starts imploding his own business and then Val is out for blood and making it everyone’s problem.

He’s so caught up on mitigating the damage the lower level sinner is doing, and on his own work, that Angel Dust barely sees him or is summoned to work at all.

The AI Demon drives Vox crazy at the same time that she reinvigorates him. Vox is the type who likes to be on top, he likes to coast, but coasting comes with a price. Namely that everything gets far too routine and boring.

So when the AI Demon starts to make poorly made but just good enough knockoffs of the shows on his streaming service(s) and of his technology he finds immense joy in hunting her down and tearing apart every site the other sinner creates to host her plagiarism.

Plus, unlike with Alastor, this is a challenge that he can take on without worrying about having to deal with any emotional damage too so he goes all in.

“Why the hell should I care that someone’s ripping off Voxflix? Just drop some malware on the site and get outta my face, I have shit to do.”

Vox doesn’t move from where he’s standing as she turns her back to leave, but he does nearly roll his eyes.

“Velvette,” he snaps lowly.

At his tone Velvette stops dead, shorter form stiffening. Vox waits her out.

It takes a silent slew of seconds before she shakes it off and then - finally - turns back to him. Slowly. Her head goes first, he’s sure just so that he can get a good look at the irritated scowl she’s taken on, before she lets the rest of her body follow.

Only once she’s staring at him again - eyes narrowed, arms crossed, and hip cocked - does Vox start back up.

There’s about a million things being transmitted to him at any given moment, but he takes care to narrow his active focus down to only the necessary few to give Velvette his due attention.

“Finished?”

“Fine.” She bristles then noticeably forces her tone to something trying to be more acquiescent, “What can I do for you Vox?”

The corners of his screen fizzle, but he came to her before he set off Valentino with the news of their newest dilemma for a reason, more than anyone else’s he needs those sharp eyes of hers looking out for whoever this trifling little ant is.

So he starts playing a peppy little jingle through the speakers of his primary build like he would in front of a crowd.

“This just in!” Vox exclaims, mostly mockingly. The smile on his screen widens as he thrusts his hands to the sides, wiggling his fingers, and kicks his foot out to balance his leg on that heel. “For the low low price of your own non-obligatory free time—!”

“Oh, shut it,” Velvette growls, flicking her taloned fingers at him to emphasize her point, “I’m not a client or Val, don’t pull that poppyshow crap with me.”

He sighs, rising back into his default power stance and smoothing his lapels, “Live a little, why don’t you?”

Gesturing towards the pocket he knows she slipped her phone into Velvette raises a brow at him in challenge. “That’s rich coming from you.” She huffs, “Now get on with it, you’re boring me.”

This time around he opts to let some of his residual irritation color his words as he breaks the issue down to her in a more approved manner. Although he’s also not not smiling any longer despite his more subdued tone.

“Velvette. Dear,” he adds, because he knows it softens her up, and low and behold her scowl eases the moment the endearment leaves his speakers, “if this new…sinner is mimicking my shows and my people what’s to stop them from coming for your models next? Every new show they copy is already starting to trend after they drop before I catch them. The masses are teeming for lesser inexpensive ripoffs of our stuff so I need you to take this seriously.”

The woman goes silent for a moment, lips pursed in what Vox knows is her actually evaluating what he said earlier. Then the scowl’s back, but one of her arms comes up so she can tap her thumb to her lips, and her hip realigns.

Somehow the lipstick doesn’t smudge as she does so. Even when she sucks her teeth, lips briefly pursing against her painted nails, the glossy black doesn’t dare transfer.

“Okay,” she mutters softly before cutting her eyes at him. “Don’t throw my name around like that again though.”

A shock of static flows through him as he narrows his eyes at her.

“Be more amenable next time.”

They stare at one another for a few more moments - Vox locking his screen on his unimpressed expression while he waits her out for a second time - before Velvette scoffs.

“Ugh, whatever,” she flips her long coil-filled hair over her shoulder, “just tell me what you need me to do.”

His processors ping with irritation at her wording, but he unlocks his screen nonetheless.

“I don’t know…just,” he waves his hands in her general direction, “make the insistent pest tacky, or whatever. Find a way to make this ‘AI Demon’ completely irrelevant. You can manage that much, can't you?”

Velvette’s eyes roll so hard that for a good few seconds all Vox can see are their reds.

“Your lack of faith would be insulting.” Velvette waits, almost explicitly, for him to begin reacting to her words before continuing. “If I cared more about your opinion, that is,” she cuts him off.

She smiles when his screen glitches slightly and his brows furrow.

“Funny,” he deadpans.

Nearly unnaturally bright fangs flash up at him as she giggles, throwing him a wink.

“I know I am.” In the next breath her phone materializes in her hand. Already tapping away rapidly at it she glances up at him with no small amount of slyness. “No need to sing my praises too much though, I’m already doing what you asked. That Hack’ll be yesterday's news before the dinner rush.”

Vox values self preservation above most things so he doesn’t question her claim. Not that he’d even be able to considering the surge of ruckus that comes from a few halls over in that very moment.

“They impersonated who?!”

Valentino’s high booming voice firmly marks the end of their conversation and - Vox visibly deflates - the destruction of his plan to carefully broach the issue with the other Overlord.

“Oh dammit to Hell,” he grumbles, straightening up and brushing off his suit before marching off to go douse whatever fire whichever one of Valentino’s assistants just lit under the moth demon��s ass.

Behind him Velvette still finds it in her to laugh. A rich giddy thing that has no right sounding so mocking.

He’s a class act though so Vox very pointedly doesn’t flip her off, only glaring as he banks the corner.

She just laughs harder, kicking one leg back and rising on the toes of her other to give him a jaunty little wave.

“Cheers, Darling!”

The AI Demon is able to take their shit and profit off of it for months before The Vees figure out where the demon’s usual selling posts are and track the other sinner down with extreme prejudice.

No one in Hell is allowed to have more social influence than Velvette, the AI miscreant is costing Vox millions, and she’s been damaging Val’s reputation with his usual buyers since she can create scenes with all his usual stars but sell them for a cheaper price and add in personalized scenes of whatever the buyer wants to watch.

Despite this they’re all still…impressed.

Once the Vees find the AI Demon they’re so sure that they’re going to rip her limb from limb for fucking with their business….until they start theorizing about all the things that the demon could do for them instead of against them.

They end up keeping the AI Demon alive only because she’s useful. She’s not elevated to Overlord status but the AI Demon is made a high priority “enforcer” for the Vees, which is significant.

Vox also 110% makes her sit in on certain business meetings and acquisitions that end with him killing some manipulated sinner(s) in a bid to intimidate her into staying in line.

She’s unphased until Vox orders her to oversee a feeding and she’s gifted to the sight of his electric sharks eating one of his employees whole and ripping them to shreds while the sinner thrashes wide-eyed in the tank. How fast blood spread throughout the water had stunned her into silence until the whole ordeal was done and Valentino had come slinking around to taunt and tease her over her clear horror at what she’d just witnessed.

Vox gets what he wants though: her culled, and though she still won’t completely cower from the Vees, she certainly learns to stay wary.

THE AI DEMON

She’s a know-it-all; frequently corrects people’s grammar mid-sentence and glitches at the sight of spelling errors no matter how intentional they are.

Velvette makes misspelling even more words the thing to do on purpose just to piss the AI Demon off. It annoys Vel too though so she doesn’t keep it up for very long before disavowing the whole trend as boring and try-hard.

Has shapeshifting and vocal mimicry abilities but tends to give herself away with her face copy being too perfect or adding extra features like seven fingers instead of five or having too clean vocals and hilariously mispronouncing words.

Likes to steal (like, nothing is off limits). She’s a full on kleptomaniac.

Velvette’s good curl enhancer? Snatched. Extra clothing pieces from Velvette’s collections that the AI Demon makes go missing all the time once she becomes a permanent fixture in their operation too.

Vox’s power cords are being sold on Hell’s black market as we speak.

Valentino’s shit outta luck to find his contract papers. And really, she’s doing a public service with this one.

She’s selling his scripts and bootlegs of his pornos too.

Is malicious compliance incarnate, and while they could kill her she’s far too useful for them to want to (and unfortunately for them she knows it).

I’ll be honest as much as I think making an AI Demon look more reminiscent of the types of people who frequently do “AI stealing” the most (white male CEOs to be the most exact to just one line of thinking I have) would be interesting, I don’t want to do that for my OC. So my AI Demon’s black (bcs that’s what I do here) and female and began stealing mostly because she was getting stolen from and then got fed up with that. She becomes inexplicably petty and greedy in the process though and goes to Hell after having been one extremely profitable professional scammer.

Is tasked with doing work for Vox and VoxTech visual mediums the most, but gets along with Velvette best, and does nothing but bitch back and forth with Valentino about his ridiculous attempts to have her understudy for some of his actors or him whenever he has to attend meetings he’d rather not.

Would slip them all cyanide if she could get away with it— and if their resulting deaths (not as a result of angelic means) would actually stick.

Still though, she doesn’t want to be redeemed and thoroughly enjoys scamming people and grifting savings or souls from other more gullible sinners so she will stay on her villain grind. At least the Vees provide her with protection now while she’s at it.

playing around with als demon form (and clothing). i rant a bit about character design under the cut

its a little difficult to land on a design i like for alastor in particular because its so difficult to make him look like "himself" if i dont include key elements like the very shape of his silhouette. characters like velvette or charlie can get by with hairstyle changes or clothing swaps but with alastor, i find that its nigh impossible to have him look like himself if i switch out any elements of his silhouette. that and his eyes, as theyre so expressive and basically show how he's feeling where his expression cant i feel like its impossible to change anything about his eyes and make him still feel like *alastor*, at least at my skill level (if i oneday manage to make a version of alastor with a mustache and not immediately after want to kill him and myself i will be able to die happy) also i could take out the monocle but tbh even though it doesnt fit his time period it honestly makes him look better so im making him keep that on.

when i go to redesign things and change them around to my liking theres only a few things i can do: ex, i have to focus more on adding details that should be there instead of trying to subtract ones that shouldn't be (and yeah that includes the wackass bob). i also kind of have my hands tied when it comes to like, trying to actually connect back to both his deer and radio motifs because i swear to god vivziepop was not fucking thinking when she decided to make him the radio demon. his base design has literally NOTHING to do with the radio so i have to be super careful with how i approach all of it when im trying to redesign and work details in otherwise i end up veering off course and creating a whole new guy.

so for this, theres a few things i tampered with. for one, the suit he's wearing is monochromatic and boring (and i wont take shit about it being animation because if lucifer can have 10000 tiny annoying details and his stupid fucking tophat then alastor should be able to wear more than one fucking colour with his clothes) so the first step is to get some more colour in there. red with gold trimmings fits well with the appearance of old cathedral radios, and as a plus, it makes him look like he has a more cohesive outfit (as well as one that fits for the job!) instead of a colour scheme and clothes combo nearly as horrific as denim on denim. and of course the radio in the chest can replace the atrocious attempt at complexity in his outfit (is that a harness or a shirt pattern? who knows, not me!) . pants are a lot simpler but i dont really want to tackle the lower body just yet because i dont really know how i want to approach the animalistic vs non animalistic features sort of thing for his design. oh and i put in a ribcage corset because its a banger idea and it makes him look better honestly

This is from the alleged cleanup artist anon again, so again…take all with a grain of salt but y’all IF this is true I can’t. When I first read the description for Lucifer’s character in the leaked pitch Bible, I had the theory that Lilith just left Lucifer because of his strained relationship with Charlie. The pilot clearly indicated that Lucifer was against Charlie’s wishes and didn’t understand her, so I assumed that’s what caused Lilith to part from him, thinking him and his ways were wrong, especially since in the pilot a poster reveals that she’s a concert artist who wants to go against the Angel’s rather than just letting them slaughter demons like Lucifer agreed to.

However even without this alleged info, Lucifer’s character sheet in the pitch Bible confirms that he’s no longer his pilot counterpart and is now rewritten as this soft goofy wet cat who wants to connect with his daughter rather than looking down on her like the pilot suggested. And I understand that ideas change from pilot to show, but man…does this piss me off on Lilith’s part. How are you going to go from Charlie calling her mom (looking for comfort and indicating that she had a closer relationship with her than she did with her dad) saying “I need advice I think dad was right about me”- to turning Lilith into the one who’s evil and hates Lucifer because he’s “gone soft”??? 💀

And of course this would be a different story if BOTH Lucifer and Lilith were characterized as bad, because they are the king and queen of hell after all. Like maybe they both see Charlie as a failure and don’t like her idea or sympathize with any other classes below them, but instead Vivziepop once again is creating a black and white relationship where one character is the one you should sympathize with and the other you should hate. The goofy soft “flawed but not that bad” male who cares for his daughter while his bitchy wife is evil just for the sake of being evil. Aka…Stolas and Stella, Viv is literally writing the same thing and all because she fucking despises her female characters and refuses to write complex characters without favoring one of them and leaving the other dry and underdeveloped.

Like even if this isn’t true I highly doubt Lilith will have a character. I 100% expect her to barley be in any scenes or be present, and when she is there she’s just this wealthy famous woman who’s obsessed with fame and fortune while being mean to Charlie/Lucifer. The relationship between Charlie and her will probably be nonexistent as well, mirroring Stella and Octavia.

Yeah, Vivziepop has a huge problem of wanting her cake and eating it. Like what you mentioned Anon, the sexual assault jokes then another moment taking it seriously. Rinse and repeat. The moral compass in Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss is so wish-washy.

Successfully killed straight married couple. Cool. Oh no, Blitzø doesn’t have the guts to kill a gay couple. Woahh apparently it’s character development (despite Blitzø fighting over a parking lot like an Anon in my last ask mentioned, happily participating in a Wrath competition in Millie’s hometown, killing lumberjacks, happily will screw over the cherubs, etc etc).

Most of the characters especially if a character is Vivziepop’s favorite, don’t get held accountable and when they do have a chance to be called out, it’s usually downgraded in some way or there is some excuse in said action.

Its funny you bring up the children in Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss because there was literally a situation where like what a 9-10 year old was at a Hazbin convention asking Blake Roman an inappropriate question regarding Angel Dust. It is so mind boggling to watch. Hazbin and Helluva are supposed to be for adults (+18) but the both shows don’t seem adult despite covering big topics like rape, kinks, etc. It feels like 2 kids in a trench coat attempting to sneak into a R rated movie.

At the day it’s the parent’s responsibility and they should be called out. It also doesn’t help that a few voice actors like Amir encourage kids and parents to watch Hazbin Hotel, despite Vivziepop expressing multiple times it’s for adults. I don’t know if he changed his mind about kids accessing Hazbin Hotel but I hope he does.

Vivziepop could potentially age gate Helluva Boss (I’m not talking about the warning sequence from Helluva Boss that flashes for 5-10 seconds every episode). But like manually do this:
