Tactics to Help NBFCs Reduce Loan Acquisition Costs
Acquiring loans can be a hefty expense for Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs). But fear not! There are savvy strategies to trim down these costs, helping NBFCs operate more efficiently and sustainably in the financial landscape.
Understanding Customer Acquisition Costs (CAC)
Customer Acquisition Costs (CAC) play a pivotal role in determining the efficiency of loan acquisition for NBFCs. It includes expenses across marketing, sales, and operational efforts aimed at acquiring potential borrowers.
1. Leverage Data Analytics for Targeted Marketing
Embrace the power of data analytics to identify and target the most promising market segments. Analyzing demographic trends, income brackets, and spending behaviors helps in optimizing marketing efforts. Tailoring campaigns to specific demographics minimizes wasted resources while maximizing conversion rates.
2. Streamline Digital Marketing Efforts
In today's digital age, a significant chunk of potential borrowers resides online. Optimize digital marketing channels by harnessing the potential of social media, content marketing, SEO strategies, and targeted online ads. A well-crafted online presence can significantly reduce acquisition costs by directly reaching interested parties.
3. Enhance Customer Retention Strategies
While acquiring new borrowers is crucial, retaining existing customers is equally vital. Offering incentives, loyalty programs, or personalized services not only fosters customer loyalty but also reduces the need for constant high-cost marketing efforts to acquire new clients.
4. Emphasis on Upgrading Credit Rating
An upgraded credit rating opens doors to cheaper funding sources. NBFCs can reduce their borrowing costs significantly by enhancing their creditworthiness. This involves meticulous management of financial metrics and demonstrating consistent performance to credit rating agencies.
Abhay Bhutada, MD of Poonawalla Fincorp highlighted how upgrading to AA+ from AAA long-term credit ratings helps their company. The advancement bolsters the liability franchise, streamline borrowing expenses, and expedite the path toward growth.

5. Automate Processes for Efficiency
Automation streamlines repetitive tasks, reducing operational costs and minimizing errors. Incorporating technology for loan application processing, credit scoring, and document verification not only saves time but also cuts down manual labor expenses.
6. Strengthen Partnerships and Alliances
Collaborating with strategic partners, such as real estate developers or vehicle dealerships, can open avenues for pre-qualified leads. Partnerships can yield mutual benefits, tapping into each other's customer base and reducing marketing overheads.
Rashesh Shah, the Chairman and CEO of Edelweiss Group has often spoken about financial strategies and the challenges faced by NBFCs. He has highlighted the importance of diversifying funding sources, optimizing operational efficiencies, and building strong relationships with lenders to reduce borrowing costs.
7. Focus on Customer Referral Programs
Implementing customer referral programs incentivizes existing clients to recommend your services to potential borrowers. Word-of-mouth remains a potent tool; leveraging satisfied customers to bring in new business reduces acquisition costs significantly.

Conclusion
Efficiency in reducing loan acquisition costs for NBFCs doesn’t require reinventing the wheel. By adopting these tactics—leveraging data analytics, optimizing digital marketing, focusing on customer retention, embracing automation, forming strategic partnerships, and utilizing customer referrals—NBFCs can pave the way for a more cost-effective and sustainable lending landscape.

The Role And Benefits Of Loan-To-Value Ratio In Property Loans
When it comes to property loans in India, the loan-to-value (LTV) ratio plays a crucial role. This handy tool determines the maximum amount you can borrow against the value of the property. Let's delve into its significance and the benefits it brings to borrowers.
What Is Loan-To-Value Ratio?
The loan-to-value ratio is a percentage that represents the loan amount in relation to the appraised value or the purchase price of a property. In simple terms, it shows how much of the property's value you can borrow as a loan. For example, if a property is valued at ₹50 lakhs and the LTV ratio is 80%, you can get a loan of up to ₹40 lakhs.
Also Read: 7 Important Things to Know About Insurance in India
The Role Of LTV Ratio In Property Loans:
The LTV ratio plays a crucial role in determining the amount of loan you can secure and the terms you'll receive from lenders. Here's how it impacts property loans:
1. Loan Eligibility
Lenders in India often have maximum LTV limits for different types of property loans. By calculating the LTV ratio, they assess your eligibility. Higher LTV ratios indicate a lower down payment requirement and can increase your chances of loan approval.
2. Risk Assessment
LTV ratio helps lenders evaluate the risk associated with a loan. A higher LTV indicates a higher loan amount relative to the property value, which can make the loan riskier. Lenders may charge higher interest rates or impose stricter terms for higher LTV ratios.
3. Borrowing Capacity
The LTV ratio directly influences your borrowing capacity. Higher LTV ratios allow you to borrow a larger percentage of the property value, enabling you to finance your property purchase or other financial needs.

Benefits of LTV Ratio In Property Loans
Here are the key benefits of the LTV ratio for borrowers:
1. Reduced Upfront Costs
A lower LTV ratio means a higher down payment. By securing a higher LTV ratio, you can minimize your upfront costs and maintain liquidity for other expenses.
2. Flexible Financing Options
Lenders often offer different loan products based on LTV ratios. Higher LTV ratios can provide more flexibility in loan terms and repayment options, making it easier to meet your financial goals.
3. Better Negotiating Power
A strong LTV ratio can strengthen your negotiating power with lenders. A higher LTV ratio implies a lower personal investment, making you a more attractive borrower and potentially enabling you to negotiate better interest rates and favorable loan terms.

Summing Up
A loan-to-value ratio is a powerful tool that influences your loan eligibility, borrowing capacity, and upfront costs. By understanding and leveraging the LTV ratio, Indian borrowers can make informed decisions and secure the best possible terms for their property loans.

If Connor were to stick to his promise and repair Daniel do you think it’d be easier to just pop his head off and plunk it onto a fresh PL600 body given that way he’d just need to take care of his head injuries
bc I can’t imagine the latter he’d be very pleased waking up to find out his pants were torn to swim trunks
#bro would cost a small fortune to repair#fixes his limbs individually and he can’t walk out without borrowing some confiscated clothes from the dpd or sumn#dbh#detroit become human#dbh daniel

whelp I guess I'll post this thing - Fate For A King
I wanted to finish my tutorial first but I have good news and bad news - rambly Footnote below*
aNYWAY so I think I posted at some point about this other traditional animation I was doing where I used only shit from dollar tree. Here's what I ended up with. It's called Fate For a King. For anyone who cares there's some blood but in my opinion it is cartoony. I did draw it with paint and sharpies after all. (If you survived kids animated movies in the 80s this should be about the same amount of traumatizing )
Basically yeah I just get sick of art being inaccessible and I hate that people just decide art forms (like traditional animation) are obsolete just because CGI has improved a bit. So I combined the two hatreds and made traditional animation out of materials that are extremely accessible and cheap that just about anyone who was interested could hypothetically find and afford. I did the first part a tutorial where I show people how so they can make something like this too. Part 1 was about the setup and pencils. Part 2 is going to dive more into how I did the ink and paint process, since I used page protectors for cels and they're HORRIBLE to work with. And Part 3 will be some suggestions on how to put it all together (this version uses software I already have but I am doing more research on what you would do if you needed something free, or even if you don't have a scanner) so stay tuned. Together we can eat elitism for breakfast. If you can make shit you should and I'm going to tell you how soon. In the meantime I hope you enjoy this fable about creepy deer and my feelings on corporations (also sorry the music is Like That and it's it's the hokey synthesized instruments. I dead ass didn't have time to record it because I was trying to get this done in time for a meet up yesterday. Maybe Some day)
* bad news is I will need to take my sweet fucking time getting back to it. Good news is THATS BECAUSE SOME INDIE FILMMAKER PEOPLE ASKED ME TO DO A LITTLE ANIMATED SNIPPET IN THEIR REAL MOVIE. I'm excited but I need to focus on that because I have imposter syndrome and constant paranoia and fears of failure
#Animation#Traditional animation#2d animation#Anti capitalism#If you're wondering this was really long and all the page protectors bumped the total cost up to almost 50 bucks I think#But that's also because I bought EVERYTHING FROM SCRATCH INCLUDING THINGS I HAD LIKE PENCILS GLUE AND SCISSORS#TO MAKE SURE THE DOLLAR STORE VERSIONS HOLD UP AND ARE USABLE FOR THIS#for most people making something the length of a vine#They would be spending maybe 10-20 bucks because most people have supplies like that#That's in comparison to my last traditionally animated short which I think cost in the neighborhood of 400-500 dollars#In case anyone noticed yeah I did borrow music from my comic but I know damn well most people will never know#Oh also this is part of my eternal effort to give the middle finger to cal arts

#talked to my credit union about pre-approval for an auto loan. im gonna frow up#tldr; i just started a new job after completely depleting my savings over the last couple months#and my fucking car has decided that NOW is the time it wants to begin its death throws after 17 years & 190k miles#so rather than wait for the engine to explode on the highway or something i'm spending money i don't have#(many thousands of dollars that i will need to borrow. specifically. 🤢)#to shell out for a newer & hopefully more reliable car before winter hits. and then i'm just gonna pray my new income can cover it!!!!!#on one hand i'm excited cuz it'll be the first car i've ever owned that wasn't a shitty hand-me-down with over 150k on it already#and i am absolutely drooooooling over the one i'm gonna test drive tomorrow#but on the other hand. it feels very precarious to take on this amount of debt right now and i'm FREAKING THE FUCK OUT.#i was worrying this morning tha ri was rushing into things and maybe it would be better to try to hold off for a couple months#but then i had to use my own car for work today instead of a fleet vehicle and the engine started displaying Silly Behaviors*#(*RPMs doing whatever they feel like randomly & a noticeable Clunk whenever i'd shift gears)#and since this thing has already cost like 1k in two emergency mechanic trips in the last two months#i feel justified in my decision to just take the L and hope nobody will look at it too closely when assessing its trade-in value 😔#ctxt#money talk cw

I love thriftbooks so much. My gf and I finally got a new bookshelf for our bedroom and there's a lot of extra space on it so I decided to try and fill in the gaps in my collection of warrior cats books from my childhood. I needed 8 books in total and I just found ALL of them in "very good" condition for a total of only $35 (with free shipping!)
#if you dont care whether your books are pre-owned they are SO good. everything is so affordable#sometimes you can even get 'like new' condition where its been read before but you cant even tell#or even brand new ones that have never even been read once#personally i like the 'very good' condition for most of my books#like if im buying a copy of a book i read as a kid for example then like i want it to match the other books i have from my childhood#also the reason i dont have these specific warrior cats books in the first place is bc i borrowed them from the library#so it kinda feels right to buy them pre-owned now#also sometimes it gives me this really cool feeling of like being connected to someone ive never met#like i got my books about judaism from thriftbooks and one of them in particular was in 'good' condition#(which allows for minimal writing on the pages)#and theres multiple places throughout the book where the previous owner underlined certain lines in pencil#and its just really cool to me to see what lines the previous person who read this book thought were important#it makes me pause and consider those lines to figure out if theyre important to me too#im also looking into getting more copies of the locked tomb series (specifically i want a hardcover and paperback of each book)#but i wanted them new so i originally went to b&n bc i know its rare for thriftbooks to have books in 'new' condition#even with b&n having a sale tho they we SO expensive#just buying gtn in hardback was gonna cost almost as much as i paid thriftbooks for all of my warrior cats books combined#so i went to check if thriftbooks happened to have any 'new' condition copies of them and they do!!#they have 'new' copies of each of the books in the format i want them in! shouldve checked there first lol#rambling

Going through a straight up comical amount of irritating situations to get the stupid 4* guaranteed ticket from the welcome to sekai campaign. It Will Be Mine.
#I’m resuming this tomorrow it’s been hours now I’m just mad#I’m home because my parents are moving to a different state and I needed to pack whatever was left#and for some reason we just keep old devices when we’re done with them#so I borrow an adapter to allow me to connect my ancient unworking iPad mini to my laptop#factory reset it. i have to reset an old email to access the old Apple id to fully reset it.#it won’t connect to the wifi so I have to reset the settings. i find out it’s too old to run pjsk.#i find an old phone that should work. i reset it as well. I’m able to download pjsk & it takes 20 minutes.#pjsk crashes everytime I try to open it. i attempt to run bluestacks on my computer. bluestacks doesn’t have 64 bit for mac yet.#i get a free trial of parallels and download windows onto my laptop. this takes 40 minutes.#i try to download and run bluestacks on that. m1 macs apparently can’t run bluestacks 64 bit through parallels.#i go find the final old phone that I had forgotten about. it takes forever to charge because the charging port is fucked up. i reset it as#well. it can’t connect to wifi. i try a hotspot on my current phone. service is too awful. i try to do wifi sharing from my laptop.#you have to be connected to the router via a cable for that to work.#at this point it has been like 3 hours. I’m giving up because I’ve been down this route before#when I attempted to run 32 bit steam games on m1 mac#(wine64 doesn’t exist for m1 macs yet -> attempt to run boot camp -> boot camp isn’t a thing anymore on Apple silicon -> attempt to run#several different programs that allow me to run windows on a mac. none of them work. ->#look into linux & give up. -> attempt to implement the unfinished/unbottled wine64 code thru terminal. ->#fuck up and delete some important file & have to fix that (misery inducing) -> keep trying. i think I downloaded a Mac coding program at#some point? i realize I have zero coding knowledge and this is a mistake. -> give up and purchase crossover. game doesn’t even work. ->#3 months later update to the latest OS so I can have enough storage to play psychonauts 2. find out the $60 crossover#purchase was a bad idea because ‘heehee crossover doesn’t work on that buy the new version’ (fuck crossover).#my toxic trait is my belief that I can figure out anything via google and sheer stubbornness. usually this is true. occasionally there are#exceptions to this rule. most of them are because owning Apple products is a mistake.#i think if I reset the router tomorrow I can solve this problem but I can also just go elsewhere with better service or wait until I’m home#now it’s a matter of pride. and also free 4*/I have nothing better to do because I’m stuck here until Tuesday.#<- this is all normal behavior by the way. who doesn’t spend 8 hours ramming their head against a problem every once and a while. enrichment#mine#oh I forgot. i also looked into cloning the app but that would cost money for something that might not even work.#‘just log out and make an alt’ and risk losing my account? I’m stupid enough to overwrite it on accident.

was rewatching Trek V w @kiranerys and compared to VI, V barely puts any effort in redressing TNG sets (and some of those are they themselves repurposed from earlier movies). Usually I'll just point out the hallways,
which aside from hastily put on panels to cover the black LCARS screens and the change in turbolift cars, the rest is the same (no money to change signage on the door, carpeting,.....)
VI does a smart attempt by adding some overhead pipes and hatchways and a different lighting scheme to make it more claustrophobic.
(does it mesh with wider hallways of of wrath of khan? no. but it gets the job done).
Even the transporters get a decent redress with the blast shield and removal of the isolinear stack (and the 88-89 need for neon accents on everything)
(as covered here in more detail)
Anyhoo, all of this preamble to say that, since my childhood was watching these movies in 4:3 and V is the one I revisit the least, I didn't notice until this watch that when Scotty wakes up in Sickbay the okudgrams behind him are the TNG ones:
Something theatre audiences would see but not television ones as that would be entirely cropped out.
just hilarious that's all. Trek movies would continue to pass sets back and forth to each other as the movies kept going on but trek vi does a better job including the TNG sickbay:
(shhh it's dark so you can't tell we didn't change much and we have the right consoles above the biobeds)
The President's Ten Forward:
snazzy dark Conference room
(the glass hides the shape of the windows)
#just a lil thing I hadn't noticed before is all#you know this was just gonna be a small post with the scotty pic and lcars but I couldn't help myself lmao#They really just weren't trying#And by the time First Contact/Insurrection rolls around we'll borrow the Voyager sets too....#so many things went wrong with this movie and some of it the quality of movies that came bc of the 88 guild strike#and cost cutting measures#Star Trek V#star trek v the final frontier#TFF#Star Trek VI#star trek vi the undiscovered country#TUC#TNG#set design#production design
