okay i can't figure out how to write the bit and be funny about it, but, concept borne of the fact it's may and therefore mermay and also i can't stop thinking about the stupid swedishbeans bit: iskall is a selkie. joel is like, a normal person who lives in a fishing village. iskall decides joel is madly in love with him and starts trying to sneak his seal skin into joel's possession, and then do a Complain about "oh no the terrible fisherman has stolen his skin. guess he has to marry him now." meanwhile joel is confused, kind of scared, and keeps on trying to give the stupid thing back WHY DO YOU KEEP ACCUSING HIM OF STEALING IT PLEASE,

meanwhile, the b-plot is iskall getting in trouble with the local mob boss, but since beef knows that iskall is a supernatural being, it is Bad Luck to get on a selkie's bad side and beef can't get away with just making the problem vanish. somehow they have both devolved into bizarre proxy wars, with beef trying to figure out how to get rid of the most annoying man alive without either losing face with his subordinates (for seemingly being unable to get rid of this one weirdo) or being cursed for eternity (no mob boss worth his salt gets involved with the supernatural in a way that leads to them cursing them), while iskall continuously sees how much more he can get away with before making this guy snap.

meanwhile meanwhile, in JOEL'S b-plot, mysterious stranger from the woods (and secretly a shapeshifting fox), etho, owes joel five dollars, and he WILL get those five dollars back, dammit. in truth etho, despite being a trickster spirit, was actually originally going to pay those five dollars, but both of them have descended so far into the bit at this point that it'd be weird to stop harassing each other and they'd kind of miss it. meanwhile, everyone in the village has wildly different opinions on what on earth is ACTUALLY happening between them.

all of these plots eventually collide to become something increasingly stupid, probably, it would just need to be the world's silliest situational comedy/sitcom type fic where things get more convoluted before they resolve. do you all see the vision,

When Rhysand asked Nesta to dance with Eris, Cassian yelled, "Over my dead fucking body!" But when Rhysand threatened Nesta with punishment or execution, Cassian did nothing. Cassian cares more about Nesta dancing with Eris than he does about her being punished or executed?

I'm not even a Neris shipper, but I know for a fact that Eris would never allow Rhysand to enter his home and threaten Nesta. Eris would have ripped out Rhysand's throat or died trying. Eris would have sided with Nesta and stuck up for her because he would have known that she's a badass who wanted to defeat the Asteri, who wanted to free Midgard, who wanted to end the threat to Prythian and all worlds that the Asteri presented. Eris would have believed in Nesta and trusted her.

The only one of them who's too much of a coward to act like a good male is Cassian.

my one singular hope/pipe dream for the fate extra remake is never gonna happen. But.

I hope there's like a DLC side story where Hakuno has to help BB with something and you go through this side story with playable BB and its a fun and games adventure everyones happy maybe they get some extra character moments etc etc. and the moment they reach what they believe is the final boss, everything changes.

Hakuno feels a strange killing intent. BB is asking, begging, to leave already (this is the first time they've ever seen BB this viscerally afraid of anything). The backdrop of this place is strange, a weird cave with waterfalls at every corner. To Hakuno, it brings to mind some form of crudely constructed arena.

Then they hear it. A scream of terror as a massive dragon crashes through the ceiling. At first, they believe that the scream is coming from some helpless bystander, a shriek of pure agony. But no. Upon closer inspection, they realize: It's coming from this strange shelled dragon.

Then they hear the words.

"So this is where you were, huh. I already took care of that nun, now you're all that's left. Get ready for the Iron Fist of Sacred Judgement!"

Nesta scried for that Mask. Nesta's the one who found the Mask in the Bog of Oorid. Nesta was sexually assaulted, almost raped and eaten by the kelpie trying to find that Mask. Nesta is the sole person who can summon it, no wards can keep her from it. Nesta is one of very few people who can wear the Mask and live. Nesta controls the Mask, it answers to her, obeys her.

If Nesta wants to give the Mask to Bryce to help her defeat the Asteri, that is her choice. Rhysand has no say over an object he can't even wield.
