#hornblower #filching things off imdb again. Look at this graphic design triumph.#am an hour into the hornblower movie and besides the fact that they have apparently summoned the real william bush with dark magics #this is not worth my time. other hits include gregory peck sitting like a wooden puppet and ha-hm'ing like his life depends on it #my review so far is 'really bad but this is a better viewing experience than the star wars holiday special' <- what I watched on friday #without the hornblower internal monologue this becomes painfully boring. and is just as racist as the book if not more so #at least this one has boats. why is every haute cuisine place obsessed w crudo rn. whats with the crudo fixation. 'this first dish is a hamachi crudo with a lychee-infused beurre monté and a mirepoix-inspired slaw' ok that's real nice but there are other ways to prepare fish <3 some that may even better preserve the integrity and flavor profile of the fish without the dish having to be so texturally monotonous <3 especially without a carb base when the guest is just chasing a slippery piece of fish around their plate <3 don't be afraid of the stove. take my hand. take this oil. take this pan. take this filet. sear on high to crisp up the skin. you don't even have to cook the flesh. just flash up the skin and get it toasty. let it rest. plate it up. mwah

Iconic moments about my binge of the last few episodes of vrains

Telling myself I need to clean out my screenshot collection soon, because I have so many screenshots I took but will never use.

Proceeded to screencap every second Soulburner was onscreen.

Pausing Revolver after he lost his helmet and exclaiming aloud "Why is he naked?"

Laughing like a madman when we see the Knights of Hanois' new base of operations.

It's on a boat.

Taking notes like I was a student again, like I'm gonna be tested on this material.

Unrelated note, I now have many essays I want to write. Look forward to them.

When I finished the last episode, I literally made note of the time so I could calculate how long it took me to watch all six Studio Gallop yugioh shows.

At some point, I started mentally rewriting Ai saying "glitch" as "shit" or "fuck", because I thought it was funny. This made the final line an EXPERIENCE.

I watched Pokemon 4Ever for the first time today, and you can really tell that I haven't watched anything Pokemon related in 10+ years because I didn't realize that, yeah, Brock's voice is beat for beat the exact same as Kaiba's (minus any maniacal laughter). This has made any flirting Brock does with women hilarious to me in retrospect lol

#Not a review #I knew he Also did James' voice because people think that that's Pegasus' voice actor so its brought up a lot #But the opening narration for this movie caught me so off guard that I had to pause it within the first 30 seconds #The cognitive dissonance of: -Kaiba voice- The world of Pokemon!!!!!!#There's also Mokuba (Sam) in this and Duke (boat guy who I don't think is named???)#These were less surprising because yeah its a 4kids dub so of course the voice actors will be shared
