I have added three Pink Lady's Slippers and two Violet pictures to my gallery. These pictures were added to 'Digital Art-Flowers' folder at developingnaturegallery.com. Because they were edited in Photoshop to alter the colors and added a paint effect they were not added to the wildflowers folder.

Buck stumbles on a wedding planning folder on Tommy's computer and has all sorts of feelings about it
This was such an adorable prompt! I loved writing this. Thank you!
*****
The second Tommy left the house, Buck pulled pulled out Tommy's laptop. He'd mentioned in passing the night before that his grandmother would make him meatloaf when he visited her. He'd had such a fond look on his face when he recalled the memory that Buck immediately knew he was going to make it for him. He'd opened the laptop with the intent on looking up some recipes to surpises him, and as the screen lit up, he saw the folder that that Tommy had left open.
The folder was untitled, and had multiple other folders inside it. 'Taxes', 'insurance', various car manuals littered the screen. But there was one folder that caught Bucks interest immediately.
'Wedding'
Buck stared at the unopened folder. Tommy had told him he had never been married. Maybe it was photographs from someone else's wedding? His finger hovered over the track pad. It would be wrong to open it, right? It would feel like violating Tommy's privacy. Something inside Buck was curious, though. He double clicked, and the folder opened.
It was filled with photographs but they weren't of somebodies wedding. Well, technically, they were, but they were random images of different peoples weddings, alongside stock photos of flowers, table arrangements, decor.. it was Pinterest for the luddite. Buck smiled.
He clicked on the first photo - a simple, rustic looking, 3 tiered wedding cake with cream frosting - and began scrolling across. An antique wooden table decorated with lit pillar candles of differing sizes, a male model in a black fitted suit that made Bucks mouth water at the thought of Tommy wearing, two men stood at an alter with vines of purple and white flowers hanging down above them, a collage of different coloured orchids, a tungsten wedding band..
Tommy, to the outside world, was very squared away. He was well versed in keeping himself together and rarely, if ever, let himself slip. It was one of the reasons Buck felt so unbelievably lucky that he got to see a side of Tommy that nobody else saw. He saw Tommy giggle like a kid in bed late at night over something ridiculous Buck had said. He got to see him with food spilled down his shirt, or his face when he comes apart when Buck touches him in the way that he likes, or when he's sick and hasn't showered for 3 days because he can't get off the couch without wanting to vomit.
However, Tommy did struggle sometimes with being open about his needs. Buck had learned that Tommy had spent so many years having only himself to rely on. It was hard for him to admit his needs or even his wants. But, over the almost year they'd been together, he had begun opening up more and trusting that Evan wasn't going to see him any differently. He wasn't going to think he was less of a man or less attractive. That Evan loved him, and taking care of Tommy's needs was something that he wanted to do.
Still, knowing that Tommy had this collection of ideas filled Buck with more love for him. Tommy was a romantic, Buck knew that, and he'd seen it many times. The man's favourite move was 'Love, Actually' for Gods sake. But even after almost a year, Tommy's softness still wondrously surprised him.
Buck continued to scroll through the images. More random decor - the overarching theme was very rustic. Lots of wood and flowers. Then, an image slid onto the screen that made his smile even bigger.
It was a photograph of Buck. It was taken at the medal ceremony after the famous cruise ship rescue. He was holding the wooden plaque with a big grin on his face. The next photograph was him again. This one, he was in his everyday blues, playing pool at the station, laughing at something. He continued - a selfie he'd sent Tommy from his kitchen where he was covered in flour while making cookies for Christopher's school bake sale, a selfie of the two of them Buck had taken in bed, where Tommy was fast sleep with his face nuzzled into Evans neck, a picture Hen had taken of the two of them smiling proudly with their medals around their necks, and then a photograph of Evan leaning against the fence of Tommy's deck, looking out at the ocean. Buck hadn't seen it before. The shirt he was wearing he'd only bought two weeks ago, so it was recent.
He clicked across to the last image in the folder, and his heart damn near burst out of his chest. It was a receipt from a jewellery store. For a tungsten band.
Buck shut the laptop, quickly placing it on the coffee table. He'd bought a ring. Tommy had bought a ring.
The first feeling that coursed through him was terror. They were 2 weeks away from their first anniversary. It was too soon. Buck was supposed to be impulsive one - Tommy was the calm, patient, and methodical one. But was it impulsive? A year is a long time to some people. Cap and Athena dated, got engaged, and married all in less than a year, so comparatively, it wasn't that short a time span.
The second thing he felt, which he tried to keep down, was excitement. He would be lying if he said he hadn't allowed the words 'Evan Kinard' to flicker through his minds eyes occasionally. It always created little flutters of warmth deep in his belly. This time, he couldn't stop the images of Tommy standing in front of him, placing that ring on his finger. Those flutters in his stomach raced up to his heart, expanding it to a size that was probably not safe.
The third feeling, the deepest and most all-encompassing, was love. And unfathomable amount of love that he didn't think was possible for a human heart to withstand. He loved Tommy - that had been obvious by the second month of their relationship - but in this moment, it suddenly occurred to him that this wasn't just any love - it was the love. Tommy was it. Tommy was his soul mate. Tommy was the sun, the moon, and every single star in the universe. He made Buck see colours he couldn't see with anybody else, sounds and sights that no gadget or gizmo would be able to detect.
And he wanted to marry Evan.
Once the shock of it all began to disapate, it suddenly occurred to him that he wasn't supposed to know about this. He opened the laptop again and clicked out of the folder before putting the laptop back where it was.
Tommy was going to be back from the grocery store any minute. All he had to do was figure out how the hell he was going to act completely normal around Tommy and not go full Buck. He heard the front door opening and he took a big, centering breath before leaving to couch to meet his future husband at the door.

Fellow Travelers Fic Recs | Old Men in Love
A collection of Fellow Travelers fics set in the 1980s era… some fix-its, lots of sweet, domestic bliss and a few bittersweet endings. Because we love pain.
Be sure to show the authors plenty of love with your comments, kudos and reblogs!
💞 Books or Blowjobs by @timothydavidlaughlin | mauralabingi [E, 1K] Tim and Hawk get back home after a day of shopping.
💞 Let Me Shower You With My Love by @beyondxmeasure | Cyantific [M, 7K] Hawk helps Tim in the shower.
A 1986 canon divergent fix-it.
Sometimes it's worth the pain by @timothydavidlaughlin | mauralabingi [NR, 1K] Hawk wakes up in the morning in Tim's arms.
💞 Here We Are In Heaven by @bluebellsinburbank | ConsumingLove (Bluebellstar) [G, 1K] Though it happened hours before, Hawk could see it so clearly now. That green space, lined in flowers. Marcus's proud smile. Jackson's hand, so steady as it placed that simple band of silver in Hawk's palm. And Tim.
A snippet of Hawk and Tim's reception.
💞 On a sunny day in San Francisco by @timothydavidlaughlin | mauralabingi [T, 1K] Tim and Hawk take a walk together.
💞 🪴His great consuming lovage*🪴 by @carnivalrow | nightfall_in_winter [T, 2K] Tim's potted plant has a story to tell...
💞 To Wrap Your Love Around Me by @beyondxmeasure | Cyantific [T, 5K] Waking up in Tim’s apartment, Hawk discovers Skippy's old robe, the same one from years ago, and the memories all come flooding back.
Tim doesn’t have much time left. Will Hawk be brave enough to stay?
💞 Tonight, It's Very Clear by @bluebellsinburbank | ConsumingLove (Bluebellstar) [NR, 1K] This isn't the plan. Marcus should just be asking for Hawk's badge. Frankie and Jerome should be waiting by the back entrance. Tim has it all in his mind - this last perfect moment with Hawk. It had been agreed, his farewell to the man he loves. He has to say goodbye, to ask Hawk to let him go.
Or, Tim plans on letting Hawk go. Hawk plans on something completely different.
💞 Two Old Men at Grubstake on Pine by @vespersong | vespersong [T, 3K] Hannah's story of the two old men at Grubstake Diner, in 1980s San Francisco.
💞 Time passes by in the most cruelest of fashions by @fuddlewuddle | Fuddlewuddle [M, 2K] Hawk and Tim talk in his little apartment in 1980s America. Conversations between them have never been easy.
💞 You might not wear blue often, but it's still your color by @timothydavidlaughlin mauralabingi [G, 2K] Hawk is struggling. Then he gets a package in the mail.
💞 Don't leave it to the last dance by @fuddlewuddle | Fuddlewuddle [M, 2K] Tim is in hospital. Hawk brings him his mail. One letter is not like the others.
💞 Lazy Morning by @bluebellsinburbank | ConsumingLove (Bluebellstar) [M, 785] Hawk and Tim share a morning together in bed.
💞 On the Street Where You Live 💠 by imstillinhellbtw [NR, 17K] Hawk has one week to make up for 30 years lost.
Or, the last 7 days he ever spent with the love of his life.
💞 Of Snuggles and Waffles by @bluebellsinburbank | ConsumingLove (Bluebellstar) [G, 2K] It's a beautiful Saturday morning and Tim should be sleeping in. Unfortunately, Hawk has other plans.
💞 Stars fading but I linger on, dear by @cinnamoncountess | CinnamonCountess []E, 5K Tulips, roses, lavenders, daisies and orchids — Tim closes his eyes for fleeting seconds as he passes the bayside and takes in the wide-ranging scent wafting over from the flower sales on each side of the road, drawing into his nostrils where it mixes with the salty sea odor from afar. It is that day of the year again that always squeezes on his heart like a fallen wall of bricks, burying him underneath.
💞 With all due respect, fuck congestion by @timothydavidlaughlin | mauralabingi [T, 2K] Tim and Hawk are going through their closet to find some clothes to donate, but Tim isn't feeling great.
💞 Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps It’s Real 💠 by drabbleswabbles [NR, 35K] And then it happened. The metallic screech of the gate, the shuffle of men stepping out beyond the prison walls. And suddenly there he was. His hair was shorter than he’d ever seen it. And his glasses were different. But it was him. Their eyes met. Tim stared at him in wide-eyed shock before recognition melted his features into a confused outrage.
Basically, a fix-it in which Hawk finds himself back in the early 70s.
💞 The one I've left behind by @carnivalrow | nightfall_in_winter [T, 884] Hawk's belated confessions in the 80s.
💞 I have loved you my whole life by @carnivalrow | nightfall_in_winter [M, 1K] 80s Tim wanted Hawk to take him back to the top of the tower, where they parted in 1954.
💞 if i have to switch the lights off, i wanna switch them off with you by @startagainbuttercup | startagainbuttercup [T, 661] "I don't remember our last kiss," Hawk blurted.
Tim's face instantly changed as he parted his lips in surprise.
"The whole time you were there, with the doctors, I thought you were dying, and I couldn't remember when was the last time we kissed." Hawk's voice trembled a little. He looked at his lap. "There were so many, but I just couldn't remember the last one."
Or, a little scene after, "did you forget that I'm a convicted felon?"
💞 I'll have a Blue Christmas without You. by @in-our-special-place | Cupping_Cakes [M, 1K] He could almost feel his touch and hear his voice, and for a brief moment, the pain would ease. But then, reality would hit again, and Hawk would be consumed by the emptiness.
💞 Couldn't say it to your face 💠 by nataliaa [G, 1K] “I’m going to DC,” Marcus says, “next week. He’s fine,” he adds quickly. “As far as I know, anyway. But I just thought—”
It’s the most that Marcus has said about Hawk in years, and Tim instantly realizes that he hasn’t been fooling anyone, except maybe himself. Marcus knows that Tim has never stopped thinking about Hawk. Marcus has always known.

Today's WTF House is listed in the description as a "magnificent Victorian." Too bad, it's a 1913 Craftsman in Sacramento, California. Don't expect to see a lot of Craftsman details, b/c it was formerly used as a 15-bed care home. It has 8bds & 2.5bas (for 15 people plus staff), and is listed for $650K.
The first thing you encounter when in the front door, is a former reception area and office.
Hmmm. So, here you can see original craftsman architecture, but why in the world did they paint it green? There're also mismatched tiles and a very faded rug, plus the overhead light wiring is going down an air duct.
Why didn't they just throw this carpet out? You can see that you've got the reception window in the living room, also.
Across the room is another room, but do I see pocket doors? The suspended ceilings have to go- can you imagine if there're coffered/ beamed ceilings above?
This must be one of the resident's bedrooms. I wonder if there're the original wood floors under the flooring, and if there is, hope it's not stick-down tiles.
The center hall and stairs are painted a garish blue. Note the kickplates on the stairs.
Dreary 1/2 bath with a snappy orchid door.
This was a rest home? And, this was one of the resident's rooms? No wonder they went out of business.
Depressing room with a glowing bath.
There appears to be moisture on the floor in here. How were people supposed to get better in this hell hole?
Here's the first utilitarian bathroom.
A waiting room with a receptionist's window.
The 2nd shower room.
Meditation room? Looks like they bought at the Ugly Floor Store.
Looks like another office. They removed the kitchen, so the buyer would have put a whole new one in.
Now, this is cool- the furnace is so old, it looks steampunk.
I don't know what potential there is in the basement, b/c those ducts are pretty big.
There's a kitchen down here, though. It must be where they prepared the food for the residents.
There's about 1/3 acre of land with the house.

LOTD: Gucci Rouge A Levres Mat in 601 Virginia Fleur De Lis with Dior Addict Lip Maximizer in 003 Holographic Lavender. #Scentoftheday Coco Mademoiselle EDP Intense by Chanel.
It's the final day of trying new lip products, today is the Gucci lipstick which I bought recently in the sales. I do have a couple of their matte lippies already so know the drill when it comes to texture, packaging etc (the Rouge A Levres Voile in the floral case is my absolute fave).
This colour is quite different for me. I must admit I expected more of a deeper, dusky mauve, but I'd call this orchid. It's a bold purple-pink that (obviously) gets more intense the more you apply, but I actually like it, it brightens my face up. I generally like Gucci's matte lipsticks, they're pigmented, creamy and don't feel dry on my lips (despite looking like sandpaper in the bullet).
This holographic gloss on top was absolutely divine, I literally gasped out loud when I first applied it, the blue sparkles were insane against the purple, but then it just disappeared and my lips were shiny not glittery. Ahh the disappointment! Anyway, swatches below, unedited, one swipe versus several swipes.

It is my lucky day! I went to a community sale at a rich neighborhood. I went to see what the had despite knowing damn well I wouldn't be able to afford nothing. Skip, I got a huge box of designer and celebrity perfumes for $50 bucks. Most of it doesn't even look like it's been touched. It belonged to someone's grandmother who passed away.

@nadelerm’s fantastical painting, "Moon Wine" [Oil on panel, 16x16”] for the current Beautiful Bizarre Magazine exhibition 'Secret Longings' at @coreyhelfordgallery. About the painting: “Blue orchids crowning Her head. Mischievous Alluring stars Winking at me, smiling, Offering a sip of the moon wine. NEW FROM FINISHING LINE PRESS: Thread: A Memoir in Woven Poems by Janet McMillan Rives
On SALE now! Pre-order Price Guarantee: https://www.finishinglinepress.com/product/thread-a-memoir-in-woven-poems-by-janet-mcmillan-rives/
In Thread: A Memoir in Woven Poems, the author reveals connecting filaments of nature, place, family, and friendship over her lifetime. From a “Snow Day” in childhood to years living “In Paris” to the “Blaze” of a southwest desert to being “Called to Stay” in the Midwest to finally moving “Ahead” into retirement, she weaves prose narrative through her #poetry. These #hybrids capture the transitions of life in a lyric tapestry.
Janet McMillan Rives resides in Tucson, Arizona. She was born and raised in Connecticut and spent most of her adult life in Iowa where she retired as professor of economics from the University of Northern Iowa. She has published her poetry in many journals and anthologies and is the author of two chapbooks—Into This Sea of Green: Poems from the Prairie (Finishing Line Press 2020) and Washed by a Summer Rain: Poems from the Desert (Kelsay Books 2023).
PRAISE FOR Thread: A Memoir in Woven Poems by Janet McMillan Rives
This refreshing memoir weaves poetry and prose into a tapestry depicting a childhood of wonder and joy bound to the days of “our long and lucky lives,” as Janet McMillan Rives can write now. With chapters moving around in time and place, with lines of poetry that sharpen the focus, she takes us vividly into what the child once saw as a cathedral of trees, to explore memory and beauty and poetry itself, to discover the connections threading past to present. In that green cathedral, the child wonders what friends and details and experiences she will remember when she’s old. This tender, lyrical book is the answer.
–Meg Files, author of The Beasts.
“Only connect!” wrote E.M. Forster. “Live in fragments no longer.” Janet McMillan Rives exemplifies this calling. “I remember connections,” she declares, and it’s true. Rives’ recollections are painterly. She shows us “blue green agave, muted orchid skies at sunrise, subtle pink reflecting off the mountain side, cool cloudless azure skies.” But the thread that securely binds together this hybrid of memoir and poetry is Rives’ “open-hearted, open-minded” capacity to connect—with history, place, and most of all, people, especially her readers. “There is no one left in my circle who lived through these moments with me, no one with whom to share. So I write,” writes Rives. And—lucky us!—we read. We connect. Thread widens the circle of the writer’s life to welcome and include anyone fortunate enough to become interwoven with this honest, lyrical book.
–Rachel M. Srubas, author of The Desert of Compassion, The Girl Got Up and other books.

Dabi x Botanist!Reader: Dating
Masterlist
When you turn the corner to open your shop you find that a bouquet is waiting on the checkout counter. Which usually wouldn't be an odd thing to see in your shop, since you tend to prepare bouquets that need to be picked up early the next morning the night prior. What does strike you as odd is that you don't remember making nor setting this one out. You move to the bouquet to inspect it. You see that it is made of flowers within your shop. You find roses, carnations, orchids, camellias, and peonies arranged in an nearly unorganized fashion. Curiously, you tilt your head at the display of flowers in a vase of your favorite color. Then you see a small to/from card sticking out from under the vase. You pull it out from under the vase carefully and read the messy handwriting.
"For you, (y/n).
-Dabi"
You giggle at the picture of a flame drawn next to his name. But you can't ignore how your heart pounds at the sight of a heart encompassing your name. What is he trying to convey?
Looking back up at the flowers, you think of their meanings. Roses mean romance. Carnations mean fascination, healing, or strength. Orchids mean luxury. Peonies are for beauty. Finally, camellias stand for love, affection, and admiration.
Was Dabi trying to flirt with you through flowers that you grew? A flutter of excitement ran through you as you thought of his possible declaration of love. You smile at the bouquet before adding a "Not for Sale" tag to it and placing the arrangement on your checkout countertop--wanting to see it throughout the day.
You turn on your neon sign and unlock the door as you open up shop for the day; thankful Dabi used his spare key to lock it on his way out after creating your surprise.
The day passed as normal and when it came close to closing, Dabi wanted in. Your stomach once again fluttered with excitement.
"Lock up, will you?" You spoke but as the words tumbled out of your mouth the blue from your sign turned off and the lock of the door could be heard. "Thanks." You added, shortly after smiling over at him as you brush off your hands of the dirt you just handled within your plant pots. You could hear him chuckle at your request and appreciation.
"'Ts no problem, flower." He replied as he walked further into your shop, closer to you. His hands shoved in his pockets. You laughed at the nickname he's been calling you for months now. Dabi tried desperately to not glance at the bouquet he had arranged for you. He didn't want to bring it up. Move past it. But you had other ideas.
"Loved your surprise this morning." You said as he neared you, finally turning fully to him after rinsing off your hands from the dirt.
"Don't mention it." He replied casually.
"You know what those flowers mean?" You glanced up at him through your eyelashes as you asked the question; excited yet afraid of his answer.
"Nah." He replied with a shrug, avoiding your gaze. He could feel the healthy part of his skin heat up in a blush.
"Love." You tell him, waiting with a hitched breath for his reaction.
"That so?" He asked, finally glancing at you out of the corner of his eye. Glad that he did look at you because you're fidgeting as you stare at him so openly. You're nervous. As nervous as he is. He felt comforted by that notion.
"Yeah. Came down stairs to a declaration of love." You elaborated. "Is that what you meant to say?"
Didn't mean to say anything is what wants to come from his mouth. It's just flowers could also tumble past his lips. Can't a friend do somethin' for ya bubbles in his throat. But instead, "Y-yeah" sneaks out of his lips and his heart starts hammering. You giggle. He's ready to turn, run, and never come back.
"Thought so." You say as you step closer to him. You hand on his cheek and your lips find his other cheek. He allows the peck as his mind processes the information.
"I don't…disgust you?" He finds himself asking, despite wanting to stay silent.
"No." You reply softly, "I think you're charming and handsome." You tell him as you pluck a carnation from a nearby plant. Then you turn to him once again and place it behind his ear.
Dabi can feel his heart beating against his ribcage. "So…you.. wanna be my flower now?" He asked, unsure how to ask someone if they wanted to date. This is foreign territory for him. Love is not something he is familiar with. Never had been. Yet here he is offering it anyways and hoping for it in return.
"Naturally, my love."

Weremayhem: Song of Beasts. Ch5: Pool Party of Lies
At the Shack, there was a huge pool party. Animal blows some flames before running off. Lips was running a little bar. Floyd, Janice, and Teeth were drinking the drinks that the trumpet player made. Zoot and Lewis were in the pool that was once empty but now filled with water. Annie was inside the Shack asleep in one of the rooms.
Nora walks into the party. “Not again. Why?” she said. Moog came up to her with a necklace of purple pinkish flowers. “An authentic lei for my lady.” he said as he put it on Nora. “Seriously. I leave ‘em to work, and they throw another party?” said the black haired female. “Hey, You’re doing it your way and they’re doing it theirs.” he replied.
“Nora!” yelled Animal as he held his drumsticks, one on fire. “Guess I just have to lie harder.” Nora said. “So, double down. That’s one way to go. All right” Moog replied as he was unaware that Nora had walked away. He clears his throat. Nora walks over to Floyd, Janice, and Teeth. “You’re kiddin’?” asked Floyd.
“Hey, party people,” said Nora. They turn to her. “Oh! Nobu!” replied Lips. “What’s all this about?” she asked. “Huge news. We went shopping.” replied Floyd. “Yeah,” replied Teeth. “Yeah, fer sure. There was, like, a sale at the market on orchids.” replied Janice. “So, I weaved some flower necklaces, and the next thing I know, We’re throwing an all-inclusive, Icelandic, Oceanic, Pan Atlantic, coconut bra, Malibu beach party” the blonde female said.
“Respectfully representing every continental and coral archipelago in the world.” she added. Floyd agrees. “It’s a pool party” said the doc to Label Lady. “Swimsuits optional.” added Janice. “Cool. I thought we all agreed you would work on your album, though, remember?” replied Nora. “Oh!” Teeth said. “Oh, album. Yeah, you know what?” replied the red haired male.
“This one totally got away from us,” he added. “That’s on us,” said Floyd. “Yeah” replied the good doctor. “Totally fine. I’m loving the party. We’re doing great” Nora replied after taking a breath. Janice sneezes. “But we have many big-time producers chasing us.” the black haired female said. “I can only hold ‘em off for so long.” she added.
Janice sneezed again, she started to feel light headed and moved side to side. “I mean, you can’t play the same old stuff when you’re rocking The Hollywood Bowl,” said Nora. “Yeah, did I forget to mention that? It’s booked.” she added. “Are you kidding? That’s terrific news!” replied Dr. Teeth. “Oh, wow” replied Floyd. Janice sneezed again.
“Bless you,” said Teeth. “Oh, wow, I, like, totally feel funky.” replied the blonde female. “And not in a good way.” she added. “Also Zedd, yeah, remember? You love music super-producer guy, Zedd” said Nora. “Hey, well, I’m meeting him in Malibu.” she added. “And, dude had been begging me to work with you.” Nora said.
Jancie sneezed again and let out some groans, she suddenly fell backwards. Nora’s face is shocked and fearful. “Oh, my God!” yelled Dr. Teeth. They quickly move her to a chair and wait for her to walk up. When Janice wakes up, she sees everyone around her.
“Janice, are you okay?” Floyd asked worriedly. “Can you hear us?” asked Teeth. “You look yellow,” said Zoot. “She doesn't look well,” said Lewis. “Lies,” said Janice as she tried to wake up. “Oh! She’s coming to” said Floyd Pepper. “Talk to me, Janice. What is it?” asked the red haired male. “Lies.” she said.
“Lice?” asked Zoot. “Lies.” the blonde female said again. “She’s got head lice, man!” said the blue haired male. Lewis facepalms. The mayhem except Janice all start scratching like crazy. “Lies,” Janice spoke again. “No, Guys, lice doesn’t make you sick. It has to be something else.” said Nora.
Janice suddenly sits up and points her finger. “Lies!” yelled the blonde female. Zoot gasps. She groans and lays back down. “Lies,” said Dr. Teeth, his pupils change to those of a feline. His voice was deep as he said this. “Hm?” replied Lips. “She said, “Lies.” the doc replied. “You know what? That makes sense!” replied Floyd.
“Janice is highly allergic to all forms of fraudulent falsities and general malarkey” said the red haired male. “Wait, are you saying that Janice is literally allergic to liars?” asked Nora. “Yeah, but…That can’t be it, because everyone here is a loyal friend in our unbreakable circle of trust.” he replied. “Unless…” Teeth started to say as he raised his finger up.
“A black-hearted fibster or fibstress secretly lurks among us.” the ginger haired male said. “Show yourself” he hissed as he looked around. Moog looks at Nora who was saying anything. He realizes that she won’t tell the truth. “Okay, I’ll ‘fess up. I lied to you guys.” he replied. Everyone gasps in shock. “You how I always say that I’ve never missed any of your concerts. Well, that wasn’t true” Moog said.
Everyone gasps again. Lewis knew that Moog wasn’t causing Janice to be sick. He looks to Nora and the flower on his antlers starts to glow. She was the wolf in sheep’s clothing that had been telling lies, not Moog. The ginger haired boy wants to tell his father but knows that it probably causes a massive problem so he keeps to himself.
“Yeah. I got wicked pink eyes in 2014 and I missed the show in Jersey.” Moog said. Everyone gasps once again. “Et tu, Moog?” asked Floyd in shock. “Say it isn’t so,” added Teeth. “There is no way that my little lie is the cause of all this, right?” the black haired male asked as he looked at Nora.
“Which means that there has to be somebody else here that must be spinning just massive webs of deceit.” he added as he looked at her. “Anybody?” Moog asked while still looking at Nora. “Honestly, I am so disappointed in you, Moog.” replied Nora as she looked at him. “Wait, what-” Moog thought.
“You should be ashamed of yourself.” she added. “I think I need to go home and calm down, I’m so upset. Wow.” Nora said. “Lies.” she added. Moog looks so disappointed in her, same with Lewis. “Hi.” said Animal as he held a rope to a white goat. “I appreciate that this gift isn’t a screeching peacock, but I gotta go.” she replied. “Bye.” the drummer replied sadly as his head went down like a sad dog.
“Ah, screw it. Give me the goat” she said as she sighs. “Come on, come on, come on.” Nora said as she took the goat with her. “Bye, Darren,” said Animal.

How Does Weddings Affect Floral Arrangements Sales?
Weddings have always been a cornerstone of the floral industry, playing a crucial role in driving sales and influencing trends in floral design. The emotional and symbolic significance of flowers aligns seamlessly with the celebratory and ceremonial essence of weddings, making them an essential element of these events. Couples often choose flowers for their weddings because they represent love, beauty, and fresh beginnings, perfectly encapsulating the spirit of the occasion.
But how exactly do weddings impact flower sales? This article delves into the subject by examining sales trends, consumer behavior, and the evolving preferences of modern couples, shedding light on the powerful connection between weddings and the floral market.
Weddings as a Major Market for Floral Arrangements
The wedding industry is a multi-billion-dollar sector, with flowers occupying a prominent position in the budget of most ceremonies. From bouquets and boutonnieres to elaborate centerpieces and floral arches, flowers enhance the aesthetic and emotional ambiance of weddings. According to industry reports, floral arrangements account for 7% to 10% of an average wedding budget, demonstrating their significance.
Couples often spend months planning their weddings, and choosing the right flowers is a key part of this process. Florists frequently collaborate with wedding planners, venues, and couples to create bespoke designs that reflect the couple’s vision. This collaboration boosts sales, as couples tend to prioritize high-quality, customized floral arrangements to complement their themes.
Seasonal and Regional Influences
Weddings significantly influence the demand for flowers, especially during peak wedding seasons. Spring and summer are particularly busy times for the floral industry, as these seasons align with popular wedding dates. Seasonal blooms, such as peonies, roses, and tulips, see a surge in demand, often leading to higher prices due to limited availability.
Regional trends also play a role in shaping sales. For instance, tropical destinations may see higher demand for exotic flowers like orchids and hibiscus, while countryside weddings might prioritize wildflowers and rustic arrangements. Florists adapt their offerings to meet these preferences, often sourcing locally to ensure freshness and sustainability.
The Rise of Customization and Personalization
Modern couples increasingly seek unique and personalized floral arrangements that reflect their individual styles and stories. This trend has transformed the floral industry, encouraging florists to offer innovative designs and unconventional flower choices. Dried flowers, pampas grass, and non-traditional colors, such as blue or black roses, have gained popularity in recent years.
Customization extends beyond aesthetics. Couples often choose flowers based on their symbolic meanings, incorporating blooms that hold personal significance. For example, lilies might represent purity, while sunflowers symbolize loyalty. This emphasis on personalization not only boosts sales but also deepens the emotional connection between couples and their chosen arrangements.
The Impact of Wedding Trends on Sales
Weddings drive floral sales by setting trends that influence broader consumer behavior. Popular wedding themes, such as bohemian, vintage, or minimalist styles, dictate the types of arrangements in demand. For example, the bohemian trend has popularized loose, unstructured bouquets featuring wildflowers and greenery, while minimalist weddings often favor monochromatic palettes and sleek designs.
Celebrity weddings and social media also play a pivotal role in shaping floral trends. High-profile events, such as royal weddings, inspire couples worldwide, leading to a ripple effect on floral sales. Social media platforms like Instagram and Pinterest serve as visual inspiration boards, showcasing elaborate installations and unique designs that couples aspire to replicate.
Challenges for Florists
While weddings drive significant sales, they also present challenges for florists. The high expectations of couples can be demanding, requiring meticulous planning and execution. Florists must balance creativity with logistical considerations, such as sourcing rare flowers or ensuring flowers timely delivery.
Seasonal price fluctuations pose another challenge. Popular wedding flowers often experience price hikes during peak seasons, which can strain budgets. Florists must navigate these fluctuations while maintaining profitability and meeting client expectations.
Additionally, the rise of DIY weddings has impacted the floral industry. Some couples opt to create their own arrangements to save costs, reducing the reliance on professional florists. However, this trend also opens opportunities for florists to offer DIY kits and workshops, tapping into this market segment.
The Role of Technology and E-commerce
Technology has revolutionized the floral industry, particularly in the context of weddings. Online platforms and e-commerce websites allow couples to browse portfolios, compare prices, and place orders conveniently. Virtual consultations and 3D renderings enable couples to visualize their arrangements before committing, enhancing the planning process.
Social media advertising and influencer collaborations further drive sales by showcasing the work of florists to a broader audience. Florists who leverage these tools effectively can reach potential clients and establish themselves as experts in wedding floral design.
Sustainability and Ethical Considerations
As environmental consciousness grows, couples are increasingly considering sustainability in their wedding planning. This shift has influenced the floral industry, with many couples seeking eco-friendly arrangements. Florists are responding by sourcing locally grown flowers, using biodegradable materials, and offering sustainable packaging options.
Ethical practices, such as fair trade sourcing, also appeal to modern couples. By aligning with these values, florists can attract environmentally conscious clients and differentiate themselves in a competitive market.
Economic Impact
The economic impact of weddings on the floral industry extends beyond direct sales. Weddings create opportunities for florists to collaborate with other vendors, such as photographers, caterers, and event planners, fostering a network of referrals and repeat business. Successful execution of wedding arrangements can lead to word-of-mouth recommendations and long-term client relationships.
Furthermore, weddings often serve as a showcase for florists’ skills, allowing them to build their portfolios and gain exposure. This visibility can lead to additional business opportunities, such as corporate events and private parties, further boosting sales.
Weddings play a pivotal role in driving floral arrangement sales, influencing trends, and shaping consumer preferences. From seasonal blooms and regional influences to personalization and sustainability, the demands of weddings push the floral industry to innovate and adapt. While challenges such as seasonal price fluctuations and DIY trends persist, the opportunities presented by weddings far outweigh the drawbacks.
As couples continue to seek meaningful and visually stunning floral arrangements for their special day, the floral industry will remain a vital part of the wedding experience. By embracing trends, leveraging technology, and prioritizing sustainability, florists can ensure their continued success in this dynamic and lucrative market.
