Bucktommy prompt
Out on a call Buck accidentally says his last name is:
'Kinard. No...wait, BUCK...BUCKLEY!'
and the whole team hears it.
He's super embarrassed because he's only been dating Tommy for a couple of months, and the 118 rib him about it for the rest of the shift.
This one made me laugh so much! Thank you!
You can send any bucktommy, saltommy or Tommy prompts to my ask 🩶
*****
5 months, 14 days and 18 hours. That's how long Evan Buckley had been dating Tommy Kinard. And yes he had counted. It had been both a whirlwind and the calmest relationship he had ever been in. Every day felt like the flirty, giddy honeymoon phase, and simultaneously with the ease of a decade together.
Buck knew he had a tendency to get ahead of himself; to go all in with what he wanted or was passionate about, but Tommy had the, quite frankly magical, ability to pull Buck back down to earth without making him feel like an over excited child. That didn't stop how from secretly imagining a future with Tommy of course.
The 118 arrived on scene of a scaffold collapse to find a construction worker on the ground underneath a large piece of wood.
"Chim, Hen you assess him, I'll speak to the foreman."
"Uh that's me." The portly middle-aged aged man standing above his injured colleague called out. "Colin Denison." He reached out his to shake Bobby's hand.
"Captain Nash." The man then held out his hand to Buck.
"Kinard.. No wait! BUCK! BUCKLEY!"
Bobby, Hen, Chim and Eddie's eyes all shot to Buck, whose face burned with the fire of a thousand sun's. He made a silent prayer for more scaffolding to fall and land directly onto him. Only death could take away this level of embarrassment.
"What did you just say?" Eddie asked with a smirk.
"Nothing" Buck replied quickly.
"Did you just say you're name was-" Chim tried to ask but Buck cut him off.
"Nope." A lie. An obvious, slap in your face, kick you in the crotch lie. He knew it, they knew, God himself knew it. He turned his attention to Bobby and the foreman and tried to ignore the stifled giggles behind him.
"Im just glad the rest of my guys were at lunch. If they have all been up there.." Colin shook his head. "Is Dave gonna be okay?" He fielded the question toward Hen and Chim.
"Couple of lacerations, definitely a broken wrist and he's gonna have some gnarly bruises, but he'll be fine."
"Hey Tomm- sorry Buck.. can you bring the gurney." Hen teased. Buck shot her a glare before walking back to the ambulance, coming back a moment later with the gurney.
"Thanks, Tommy." Chim sang.
"Come on guys." Buck pleaded, wishing another sinkhole would appear and swallow him whole. Or maybe a lightning strike. Hell, being on a capsized cruise ship would be better than being here right now.
"He's stabilised Cap. We just need to get all this crap off of him." Eddie informed him. "You wanna help Tommy?" He added. Buck groaned.
"Hey guys let's keep it professional - we have a job to do."
"THANK YOU Cap." Buck praised narrowing his eyes at everyone. Cap pointed to the large piece of wood covering the man.
"Eddie, Hen, Chimney, you take that side. Kinard you're with me."
"Bobby!"
***
Buck was more grateful than ever for his shift to be done with. Even more so that he was headed straight to Tommy's. He let himself in, kicked off his shoes - stopping to admire how warm it made him feel looking at both his and Tommys shoes sat side by side - and walked into the kitchen where Tommy was busy preparing dinner.
"Hey babe." He was stirring some sauce in pot as Buck walked over and pressed a soft kiss to the corner of his mouth. "Good shift?"
"It was fine." Buck answered plainly. He had already humiliated himself enough today.
"Nothing happened?" Tommy asked.
"Nope." Buck said popping the 'P'. Tommy stopped starting and turned to face him.
"Really? Nothing? Nothing at all?" Buck noticed the glint in his eye.
"Who told you?!"
"Who do you think?" Tommy laughed. "I don't think Chims ever texted me that much before. Actually, it was mostly voice notes of him and Hen laughing."
"Oh god." Buck held his head in his hands as embarrassment soared through him. It was bad enough everyone else heard him but now that Tommy knew about it..
Tommy laughed and walked over to him, putting his arms around his waist.
"Hey." He said, wanting Buck to look at him, which he slowly did.
"Look, Evan.. were not near that step quite yet, bu-" Bucks head went down again, and he groaned. "But-" He said louder so Buck would look at him again. "I like that the idea of it doesn't freak you out. It's.. its actually kinda nice."
"Y-Yeah? You don't think I'm an idiot that's going overboard again?"
"Oh I definitely think that," He said with a laugh "but.." He placed soft kisses onto Bucks forehead, cheek, birthmark and finally his lips. "..I happen to love that about you." Buck sighed with relief.
"Although, what if I wanted to be a Buckley?" He asked half teasing.
"Are you kidding? I don't want to be a Buckley, so you're definitely not."
"Oh is that so?" Tommy questioned kissing him on the lips again.
"Yep." Buck smiled kissing him back.
"Noted." Tommy stated. "Now, come taste this sauce." He took Bucks hand and led him to the stove.

buddie + Why are you even here?
-❤️🪐
Hi Saturn!! I hope this is what you were looking for!
"Why are you even here?"
Eddie flinches at the ice in Buck's tone. It's not like he's never heard Buck angry before - there's been plenty of times where Buck's anger has been displayed, but always directed towards others. Never at him.
Eddie licks his lips and wills his mouth to work. It's hot out here, hotter than the hallway in Buck's apartment usually is. Eddie dimly wonders if he's coming down with a fever.
"Can- can I come in?" he asks tentatively. He clutches at his fingers, twisting them together in a way that's uncomfortable enough that it gives him something else to focus on besides the way his heart is thundering in his chest.
Buck stares at him, eyes dark and unreadable, his body language radiating an energy that makes Eddie's stomach twist into knots. He's got one foot braced in the door, leaning against the door jamb. Eddie feels trapped in the doorway, like a rabbit caught in a snare, waiting for the final blow to kill it.
He thinks Buck is going to say no, and honestly, Eddie wouldn't blame him. He's the last person Buck probably wants to see.
Except then, Buck steps aside, allowing Eddie to shuffle his way into the apartment. He shuts the door behind Eddie and the click of the lock engaging is louder than a gunshot in the otherwise silent apartment.
"I-"
Eddie stops, unsure of how to go about saying everything that he wants to. He's got no clue where to start, or if Buck even wants him to talk. Eddie just knows he needs to apologize, and explain, and beg for forgiveness if that's what it takes to get Buck back in his life.
Buck leans against the kitchen island and raises his eyebrows. He's waiting, waiting to see if Eddie will grovel, get down on his knees and plead Buck to forgive him. And he would, too. He's not beyond doing anything if it means he gets his Buck back.
But he hurt him. Eddie hurt Buck with his words, and he doesn't know how Buck could ever forgive him for it. He wanted to take them back the moment they'd left his mouth, hanging in the air like a poisonous gas. He'd watched Buck's face crumple, the light leave his body, and Eddie felt like he was going to throw up because it was him that did that to Buck.
"I was hoping we could talk," he finally manages. Buck drops his head and lets out a dry, derisive chuckle, and Eddie feels like all the air has been sucked from his lungs.
"What more is there to say?" Buck demands. "You were pretty clear earlier."
"I wasn't - I didn't - please, if you'd just let me explain-"
"Why? There's nothing to explain, Eddie, why should I listen to-"
"Because I love you!"
It's bursting from him before he can stop it, exploding from his chest with all the force of a tsunami, the words crashing through the space between them, and Buck recoils as though he's been physically hit.
"You - what?"
Eddie runs a hand through his hair, clutching at the strands and pulling. The gentle sting is enough to centre him, to give him a moment to focus and breathe, and figure out what the fuck he's going to say next.
"I love you, Buck," he repeats. "A-and I know what I said earlier. I panicked. I've never - I haven't ever, you know, been with a man or even considered that as a possibility before you, and I've spent years trying to convince myself that you didn't want me. That I wasn't good enough for you, or that I was too broken for you."
Buck lets out a wounded noise in the back of his throat at that, and Eddie can see tears threatening to spill over. His own throat is tight, making his voice high and constricted, but he presses on. He needs Buck to hear this. Tentatively, he takes a step forward, slowly closing the gap between them.
"A-and then you asked me out, and I was so scared, Buck! Because what if we tried this and you realised that I wasn't right for you, or my relationship trauma was too much for you, or something happened and we broke up. Because I can't lose you, Buck. You and Chris - you're everything to me. I can't live a life without you by my side, as my best friend or as my partner. So you asked me out and I - I panicked. I said no because I didn't want to fuck this up with you and then lose you. And I thought - I thought that maybe I could live with you angry at me but still my friend more than I could live knowing what it would be like to have you, but to never experience it again."
It's silent now. Buck stares at him with wide, glistening eyes, and Eddie feels like his skin is crawling with nerves. He's laid himself bare here, in front of Buck, bared his soul and his love and every deep, intimate part of him he'd hoped to hide, and now all he can do is hope that it was enough. That he wasn't too late.
Buck lets out a shuddering breath, and his shoulders slump. He looks exhausted, and Eddie wants nothing more than to reach out and hold him. But he can't. Not until Buck says something, and Eddie can find out if this is fixable or if he's already lost the most important person in his life.
"Eds," Buck sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. "You're the biggest self-sacrificing idiot on the planet, you know that?"
"Yeah," Eddie laughs wetly, "so I've been told."
Buck takes a step towards him, and then another, until there's barely a foot between them. He can feel Buck's breath ghosting over his face, and there's something in his eyes that Eddie can't quite pick out. But he doesn't look angry. He looks... sad? Hopeful, maybe.
"You're more than enough for me," Buck whispers, reaching out to cup Eddie's face. Eddie sighs shakily as Buck's thumb strokes over his cheekbone, and he leans into the touch, his throat tightening as he fights back tears of his own.
"You always have been. And you would never lose me. I-I'm not going anywhere, Eddie. Because I love you too. I have done for years. You and Chris, you're my family. My life. So I would never let anything happen that would jeopardise that. Sure, we might have fights. It might be messy, b-but that's what relationships are, right? So we - we'd work it out together. "
Buck crooks a finger under Eddie's chin and tilts his head up, forcing eye contact. His thumb brushes over Eddie's lower lip, and Eddie lets out a shuddery breath.
"If - if you really don't want to, if you think we'd be better off as friends that's fine, I just -"
"No!" Eddie cuts in. It takes him by surprise but he's damned if he's going to fuck this up again. "No, I don't want that. I'm sorry I said I did, I'm sorry that I hurt you. I want you, Buck. Fuck, I need you."
Buck's hand slips from Eddie's chin and curves around the back of his neck, pulling him close until their foreheads rest against each other.
"Jesus Christ, Eddie, you can't just say things like that." His other hand comes up to cup Eddie's jaw, stroking over the days worth of stubble he's grown. "Can I - can I kiss you? Please?"
Eddie nods frantically, unable to get any words out past the lump in his throat, and then Buck is kissing him, his lips sliding against Eddie's and oh.
Oh.
The world tilts on its axis, spinning rapidly around him as everything he's ever known or believed crumbles, only to be rebuilt anew. It's just Buck's lips against his own, nothing more, and yet it feels like the whole universe is crashing into place. Like his entire life, everything he's gone through, the struggles, the pain, the loss, has led him to this exact moment.
The hand at the back of his neck slips up and tangles in his hair, holding him firmly in place, and Eddie lets out a quiet whimper, the sound swallowed up by Buck's mouth against his.
And then Buck pulls away, and Eddie's eyes snap open, a whine catching in his throat, until he sees the look on Buck's face. It's full of love and adoration and awe, and it takes Eddie's breath away.
"We're okay?" he breathes, and Buck nods, his bottom lip trembling. "I-I'm so sorry I hurt you, Buck. Can you forgive me?"
"Of course, Eddie. I will always forgive you, no matter what," Buck assures him.
"Can I kiss you again?"
"Please."
Eddie was such an idiot if he ever thought he could live without this. His best friend, his Buck, by his side forever. Because this is where they belong. They were made to be together, and this solidifies it. He will never let Buck go again. Not as long as they both live.

911 Countdown to Christmas
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What is 911 countdown to Christmas?
A 9-1-1 focused event in which we countdown to Christmas with fanworks. This can be fics, edits, art, playlists, poems, or anything else you can think of. If you choose the 24-days option, you post one prompt a day. If you choose the 12-days option, you can choose between two dates to post a prompt. Fanworks can be focused on relationships, friendships, or a singular character.
Why this account?
I did a poll on @911buddieweek and though the option to host this on there won, I felt like it could get confusing to host it on there since this is not a Buddie-only event, which is why I made this separate account.
This way people who don't want to participate or follow Buddie Week can keep updated on this event, and updates for events will be separated
Do I have to post every day?
Nah, you can do whatever you want! If only 3 of these speak to you, you can only post those 3 days. It's entirely up to you!
Are there rules?
Tag accordingly - this event is open to all ages. Smut is allowed, but make sure it's tagged as such! Also tag trigger warnings.
No character bashing (though toxic parents don't count... bash away). Let's stay positive in this event. It's open for everyone in the 911 fandom...
...EXCEPT if you're gonna write pedophilia fics please stay away. Adult/minor fics will be removed.
The use of AI is NOT allowed.
Where can I post?
Anywhere you want! I will be making a collection on AO3 once December nears. You can post on here, on insta, twitter, any other place I can't think of at the moment.
Is this time limited?
It's okay if you miss a day, or post 12 fics on the same day. While the purpose is to count down, you can post whenever you want. Heck, if you're from the future and living in 2026, you can still post too! The ao3 collection will stay open.
Do I have to sign up?
Nope, you can just join. Though I'd love to know if you reply/reblog saying if you're participating!
I have a different question
You can send me a DM on here, on @911buddieweek or on my main @smilingbuckley. Asks for this account should be open (my main has them closed). If contact via Tumblr freaks you out, you can also DM me on Instagram (smilingbuckley).

tommy (at this point already casually dating buck) hanging out with eddie and calling him out on his feelings
alternatively eddie last minute helping maddie before the wedding and maddie calling him out on his feelings
or both
both? both. both is good :D i hope you enjoy it, it got a little long haha! if you want to send me a buddie prompt, click here!
Tommy is the first one to bring it up.
They're finishing up on the basketball court, and everyone has filed out by this point, leaving the two of them alone. Tommy is driving Eddie back anyhow, and today was an intense game, so they're taking their time.
Why Tommy chooses to bring it up before the car ride, Eddie doesn't know. But what a way to make it awkward.
"Hey, man I need to tell you something," he says as they return to the car. "So you're not blindsighted when it happens."
"Everything okay?" Eddie asks, clearly concerned.
"Well, not really." he lets out a tired laugh. "Uh...I'm going to be breaking up with Evan. I wanted to tell you so that, you know, you could do what you do and be there for him."
Shocked, Eddie steps in front of Tommy, "Wait, what? I thought things were going great with the two of you." he feels his gut twist uncomfortably - the last thing Eddie wants in the whole world is to see Buck hurt again. "Tommy, come on, Buck is great. He's amazing. There's not a thing about him to not like."
Tommy scoffs, "Believe me, Eddie, I know that."
"So then what's wrong?"
"Eddie, seriously?" Tommy rolls his eyes. "I can't keep dating him and ignore...whatever it is you two have going on. I like Buck, a lot, I do but, there is clearly something between the two of you."
Eddie lets out a small laugh of disbelief. "Tommy," he says, grinning, trying to find his footing in this conversation. The rug has been swept out from under him. Him? And Buck? No way. "He's my best friend. That's all."
"You know Eddie," Tommy rolls his eyes, walking past him now. "I know everyone is a bit of an idiot with love, but you're acting obtuse purposely."
Eddie turns around and follows, "Hey," he snaps. "I'm sorry if we're too close for you to handle, but I'm not going to apologize for being his best friend."
"I don't want you to Eddie, really, I don't. But you should both take your head out of your asses so that you can stop hurting other people."
That stops Eddie from making a retort.
Tommy picks up his pace as he walks over to unlock his door, as though he can escape Eddie and erase the fact that he is also driving Eddie home. That they are going to have to share a space for twenty minutes before Eddie can leave and be alone, and send Tommy on his way to break his best friend’s heart.
Does Eddie love Buck?
Of course.
Buck is his best friend. Why wouldn’t he love him? How could he not? Buck is beautiful, and kind, takes care of his son, and has been there for Eddie since the day that they met. Buck is honest and hopeful, Buck is tender and funny, he is knowledgeable and earnest. He’s the best friend anyone could ever ask for. Eddie knows all this, and of course he loves him for it.
But that doesn’t mean he’s in love with him…does it?
***
“Thank you so much for helping me Eddie,” Maddie sighs as they walk into her house, Eddie with boxes stacked in his arms. He doesn’t even know what’s inside them - Maddie needed help, so he agreed.
“Sure thing,” he kicks the door shut and follows her to the kitchen, gently laying the boxes on the table. “Here’s okay?”
“Perfect,” she rubs his back. “Want some coffee? You’re welcome to stay for a while.”
“Coffee sounds great, thanks,” Eddie nods, watching her move around her kitchen. He feels a little awkward–he likes Maddie just fine, but really, he hasn’t spent too much time with her, so he isn’t sure where to strike conversation. They already spent an hour talking about kids in his truck, he feels like he’s used Christopher enough.
“So,” she says, tone careful and light, prepping mugs. “Did Buck tell you about Tommy?”
“Yeah, he did.” Eddie murmurs, Tommy and Buck broke up three days ago. Eddie listened to Buck tell the story, and hugged him tight. He gave him beer, ordered him food, and let Buck stay over for the night so he wouldn’t have to be alone.
At least you’re always going to be here, Eddie, right?
Nowhere else I’d rather be, Buck.
Eddie broke up with Marisol a day later. He has tried not to think too hard about why that is but…he has spent the last three days thinking about what Tommy has said.
Eddie clears his throat. “It sucks, I thought this would work out for Buck for sure.”
Maddie sighs sadly, starting to prepare the coffee for them, before she turns around and gazes at him fondly. “I already knew it wouldn’t.” When Eddie just continues to look at her, she rolls her eyes and smiles. “Eddie, come on.”
“What?” he asks.
“Seriously? You’re going to make me spell it out for you?”
He feels his heart skip a beat, understanding dawning on him. “Maddie,” he shakes his head with a small laugh, although what he wants is to run in the other fucking direction. “Listen-”
“All I do is listen, Eddie. I listen to my brother talk about you like you hung the sun in the sky. I listen to him complain when he can’t see you and Chris. I listen to him talk about everything you do for him, everything you say to him.”
“He’s my best friend,” Eddie says, feeling cornered.
“I know that I really do. And maybe I’m wrong, maybe I don’t know you as well as I think I do but…I know my brother. It could have never worked with Tommy, because he was too busy being in love with you.”
“Maddie-”
“Hey, maybe I’m wrong,” she says, pouring their coffee. Why do these things never happen when he’s about to leave? “But look into his eyes Eddie, and you’ll see it. Promise me.”
Eddie doesn’t know what to do.
A little part of him admits that he’s afraid to look. Afraid of what he’ll find.
“Maddie,” he says softly. “He’s my best friend.”
“Eddie.” she sighs. “You look at Buck the way I look at Chimney. The way Karen looks at Hen. The way Bobby looks at Athena. This is so far beyond what you think it is. Promise me you’ll think about it.”
“I promise.”
***
Eddie thinks about it all the way to Buck’s house.
He thinks about his life, about what makes sense, about his son, and what makes sense in his son’s life. He thinks about the obvious - is he happier when Buck is around? Yes. Did he like Marisol? Not really. Was that because of Buck? He doesn’t know.
Does he miss Buck when he’s not there? Yes.
Does he think Buck makes him a better person? Yes.
Does he love Buck? Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
He makes it to Buck’s apartment and knocks on the door. It opens a moment later.
Look into his eyes, Eddie.
Eddie looks.
Buck smiles, bright as a thousand suns. Just because Eddie thought to come over, to just spend time with him.
Buck’s eyes sparkle – there is love there, warmth, undying devotion.
Eddie, finally, can see.
“Can I come in?” Eddie asks.
Buck steps aside, and Eddie takes the first step into the rest of his life.

could you do n4. "make me beg for it" for bucktommy please?? thank you!
Buck’s back slams against the door, the entirety of Tommy towering over him. He makes a sound under his breath that he knows his boyfriend can hear.
Tommy stops to look at him, the knee between his legs already pushing up. “So fucking eager, aren’t you?”
The darkness surrounds them, but even under the night, Buck can tell Tommy’s just as hard. He smirks, then nods, putting both of his hands on his chest and pulling him down by the shirt.
He stops when they’re an inch apart, Tommy’s hot breath on his lips. “Want you. All of you,” Buck says, and means. “But don’t go easy on me.”
Tommy looks down, following Buck’s tongue with his eyes. He wets his own lips, a little on the side of weak now. “No?” Tommy asks, his fingers bruisingly tight around his hips. “Then, what do you need?”
It’s so precise it almost makes him blush. Need. Buck needs him. He sighs, kissing him softly, and running his tongue over his lower lip until they part. Tommy’s heart is beating a mile a minute, giving it away. Giving himself away. Buck deepens the kiss before the man can pull away.
A moan breaks through him, and Tommy swallows it, pushing him even harder against the door. They move in sync, tasting each other like neither can get enough. Mostly because they can’t.
Buck forces himself to part, preening on the fact that Tommy chases after him, settling for resting their foreheads together. “Evan,” he says, and it balances out the scale a little. “What do you need?”
His hand flies down to cup Tommy’s jaw, wiping under his lips where some spit glimmers with the moonlight. He looks down, then up, his eyes darkening. There’s suddenly a grin adorning his lips. “I want you to make me beg for it.”

“Uncle Tommy” for your BuckTommy prompts?
I have a few ideas for this one!
----
Jee-Yun
As soon a the two walked into the room, Jee came running, arms spread wipe and a huge smile on her face.
Buck opened his arms, ready to catch her.
"Uncle Tommy!"
She ran straight past his outstretched arms and right into Tommy's.
He wanted to be mad that he was demoted to second favourite uncle, but the sight before him was just too damn cute. Tommy caught her and effortlessly lifted her into his arms. He spoke to her softly and made her giggle.
All Buck wanted to do in that moment was somehow miraculously give Tommy a child. Just so he could see his 6'2, beef of a boyfriend hold a kid that they called theirs.
But seeing uncle Tommy in action would do for now. He watched as he lifted her onto his shoulders and made helicopter noises.
"Yay, helicopper!" Jee cutely mispronounced.
2. Tommy's nephew
Tommy's sister's sitter had cancelled last minute and needed someone to look after her son, the first person she called was of course her brother.
With his day off, he planned to have a fun day with his beloved nephew. He never misses a day where he can spend it with one of his favourite people.
They go out to eat at a local classic car cafe, pictures and relics line the walls and cars were parked out front.
They stop by at the 118 to say hi to everyone shortly before they get called out and he tells the boy that he used to be part of that team. His nephew is always in awe of his favourite uncle's stories.
They play games until it's time for dinner and Tommy uses one of Buck's recipes and his nephew loves it every time.
He lets him help him cook, showing him what to do next, but of course he leaves the use of sharp objects to himself.
Exhausted from the day, Buck comes home to find the boys asleep on the couch, Tommy holding his nephew close as the young boy drools on his shirt, making little snores as he's away in dreamland.
Buck doesn't disturb them, just takes a photo to send to his sister-in-law.
He adores how much Tommy loves being a uncle. He knows he just wants to give his nephew the best possible memories ever since he never got that. He would do anything for him to never have to experience the sadness he did growing up.
And he's doing a pretty good job so far, so Buck has faith.
----
I hope you like it, thank you, anon! 💐☺️

Buddie prompt: AU to all of Buddie. Just a what if for how Buck behaves when Eddie first joins the 118. Instead of getting jealous and insecure like he did in canon, what if when Buck and Eddie met it was love at first sight? Like both men are instantly charmed and smitten with each other right off the bat and when Christopher is added to the mix, it just cements the Buckley-Diaz family in place?
HOW DARRRREEEEEEEE i read this while i'm at work and i can't write it immediately????
Gosh this would make for SUCH a different series omg???
Someone hold me back
Someone tell me i have to work
I need to get this out of my system YESTERDAY but i need to work!!!!
me @ this prompt
Tysm for sending this my way my boss will have words with you when they realise i'm not working <3

walk with me for a moment. picture this, dear 9-1-1 fan, for season 8.
eddie feels like a terrible father. he’s so incredibly mad at himself, filled with hatred and sadness. chris is ignoring him still and he goes home to an empty house, an empty bed, an empty life.
buck, on the other hand, is finally stable. he’s doing good mentally, physically, and emotionally. he’s got a serious boyfriend, going on dates and having fun and life is looking up for once.
mid-shift, buck gets a call.
kameron and connor were in a car crash. both died on impact. their child miraculously survived. to his surprise, his old roommate had left specific instructions saying that he, evan buckley, would get custody in the event of their deaths.
buck has… a limited amount of childcare skills. he’s taken care of jee-yun before but that barely holds a candle to being the sole caregiver for a toddler.
eddie obviously raised christopher, but he was deployed during chris’s early years. he has few and far between memories from back then as his brain has those years entangled with the horrors of war.
tommy? well, tommy is just here for the ride.
truly, how hard can it be for three men to raise a toddler?

Buddie or Tuck:
“Theeeere you are. Hi. Welcome back.”
He’s in the hospital. He knows he is. He’s been here enough times to recognize the antiseptic smell, that annoying ass beeping, and the slight chill in the air.
He doesn’t want to open up his eyes. His whole body aches, especially his throat and his lungs. Guess the whole dream he had about a patient choking him out wasn’t a dream, and he’s going to lay here, fake sleeping mortified, until he can’t anymore.
Or not.
He shifts a moment in his bed, because he’s really uncomfortable, and the movement tears a whine out of his bruised throat, which quickly turns into a sob.
There’s a flurry of movement beside his beside and hands he recognizes but can’t place at this moment run through his hair and cup his face.
“Hey Evan, come on, baby, open your eyes.” Evan. Evan. Tommy. Tommy is there, and Buck’s eyes slowly open to gaze at him. “There you are. Hi, welcome back.”
“Wha-“
“Don’t try to talk. The guy did a number on your throat, but it’s okay. You’re okay. They say there’s no damage, you’re just gonna be sore for a while.”
“Hm,” Buck mumbles, his eyes slipping shut again as Tommy scratches at the back of his head. “Sleepy.”
“Go to sleep, baby, I’ll be right here.”
“Stay?”
“Always.”

💍💍💍 please!!!
Thanks for the prompt
🩶
**********
They both lay naked on their bed—Tommy vertical and Buck horizontal with his head rested on Tommy’s stomach. Tommy’s hand was on Bucks clavicle with Buck delicately playing with his fingers and occasionally lifting them up to kiss.
They were enjoying the post-sex come down with the breeze from the open window across the room cooling their hot skin.
“You did not know that early!” Tommy accused him.
Buck laughed. “Okay, okay I didn’t know know. But I definitely knew something changed when I met you.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. I knew that I had to see you again, and that I needed to know you.” He said in that sweet and earnest way that always melted Tommy. His lifted Bucks hand to his mouth to kiss. “What about you? When did you know about me?”
“I was endeared when you were excitedly shouting about the new 118 motto in the back of my helicopter.” He said and Buck laughed. “But what really solidified it for me was standing in your kitchen and you just being so honest and open about how you thought you did wrong.”
“I did do wrong—I acted like a child and got my best friend hurt.”
“I know, but not many people are so quick to admit when they’re wrong—you did it immediately. Plus, you said some really nice things about how cool I was and how could I possibly resist that?”
“Was? You’re still the coolest person I’ve ever known!”
“Evan, you literally had to clean up my puke couple of weeks ago.”
Buck laughed. “So? I’d do it every day if you needed me too.”
He said it in such easy way and Tommy knew he meant it. After all this time together Evan still surprised him with how simply, and easily he loved him.
“Come up here.” He said gently and Buck immediately shifted upwards; arms and legs wrapped around Tommy like an octopus. He adored how physically affectionate Buck was. Very early on in their relationship he’d found himself not being able to sleep without Buck attached to him like a limpet.
He placed a few soft, long kisses to Bucks lips before Buck nuzzled into his usual place in the crook of Tommy’s neck.
“Well shit!” Tommy said after a while.
“What?”
“The sun is coming up.” He told him. Buck lifted his head up to see the beginnings of pinks spreading across the sky through the window.
“Shit. We stayed up all night talking?”
“And other things.” Tommy whispered playfully kissing his temple. “Are you going to be okay today?”
“Yeah.”
“Really? Evan I love you, but I know what you’re like when you have little sleep.” He teased. Buck leaned up on his elbow to look down at Tommy.
“On any other day I would agree, but not today.” He smiled and ran a thumb across Tommy’s jaw.
“No?” Tommy smiled.
“Nope.” He kissed Tommy softly.
“What time is Eddie picking you up?”
Buck reached back to look at his phone. “In about an hour.” He snuggled back into Tommy’s body.
“Last chance to change your mind, you know.” Tommy told him lightheartedly.
“Not a chance. You’re stuck with me forever, Kinard.” He smiled into Tommy’s neck and squeezed tighter into him. “What about you? You’re not thinking about making a run for it, are you?”
He pressed 2 fingers into Bucks jaw to gently guide him up to meet his eye-line. “Nothing in this world could make me walk away from you.”
After more warm and lazy kisses they eventually dragged themselves out of bed to get ready for the day. Buck finished packing his bag while Tommy showered.
“I made you a coffee.” Buck called out as he heard Tommy walking towards the kitchen.
“Thanks babe.” He kissed Bucks temple and picked up his mug, leaning against the counter. “Have you packed everything?”
Buck scanned his bags in the table. “Uh, I think so, yeah.”
“Suit?”
“Hanging by the door.”
“Shoes?”
“Check.” Buck replied patting one of the bags.
“Ring?”
“Eddie has it.”
“Only thing left is vows.” Tommy said.
“I don’t need them—I know what I’m gonna say.” Buck closed the gap between them and wrapped his arms around Tommys neck.
“Yeah?”
“Easiest thing in the world.” He said as the sound of Eddies horn blasted outside.
“I guess it’s time.” Tommy said.
“I guess so.” Buck smiled. He turned to begin picking up his bags but Tommy reached out and held his shoulder to stop him.
“Wait a second.” Buck turned back around and Tommy held his face gently. “I love you, Evan. And I can’t wait to be your husband.”
“I love you, too, Tommy and I can’t wait to marry you.”
If Buck left the house 30 minutes and an orgasm late, well that was his business.

Falling asleep on each other + Buddie
Hi and I'm so sorry this took many months to respond to I'm finally looking at these again sfkjhf
Inviting Eddie over for a movie night after one of the busiest shifts all year had been a bit of a mistake, in hindsight.
Buck had set out a vast array of snacks - from popcorn to some weird trail mix he'd never seen before - and had ordered takeout from Eddie's favourite Mexican joint up the road. He still had that inflatable mattress that Chimney had slept on during the lockdown, so he'd blown that up too and placed it at the foot of the couch, giving him and Eddie ample room to spread themselves out.
While he'd done this, Eddie had showered and changed into a pair of Buck's sweatpants and a hoodie. Something had clenched deep in Buck's chest at the sight of Eddie descending the stairs from the loft, hair damp and tousled, with Buck's favourite grey hoodie hanging loosely over his torso. He looked loose and relaxed, like the water had washed away all the tensions of the day, leaving behind nothing but warm, rosy skin and the smell of Buck's orange and vanilla body wash.
They'd only been dating a few weeks but it stoked a possessive fire deep in the pit of Buck's to see his boyfriend dressed in his clothing, smelling of his bodywash.
It was almost as if Eddie had been claimed as his.
Eddie crossed the kitchen and flopped himself onto the half-bed, half- couch (bouch?) and patted the empty space beside him.
"C'mere. I'm cold and I plan to use you as my own personal heater for the rest of the evening."
With a fond chuckle, Buck grabbed a bowl of popcorn and joined Eddie on the couch. He tucked a soft, minky blanket around Eddie, pulling it up over his chest and tucking it under his chin. He planted a kiss to Eddie's forehead and pulled back with a grin.
"Snug as a bug in a rug."
"That's such a weird saying," Eddie pointed out as he extracted his arms from beneath the blanket. He swiped a couple of pieces of popcorn and popped them in his mouth, chewing thoughtfully. "When are bugs ever in rugs?"
Buck shrugged. "When they're not vacuumed efficiently? It's just a saying."
"You're cute." Eddie tapped Buck's cheek. "What are we going to watch?"
After much deliberation, they settled on Deadpool. Christopher had mentioned wanting to see the newest film with some of his friends, and Eddie had agreed on the provision that he watched the film first and made sure it was appropriate.
"Holy shit, there is absolutely no way I'm letting Christopher watch that," Eddie said 2 hours later, completely gobsmacked.
Buck was beside himself with glee. "That was one of the best movies I've ever seen!" He grinned. "You're not gonna let Chris watch that?"
Somewhere along the lines, Eddie had listed over and was settled heavily against Buck's side. He shook his head in response, his nose brushing against the hollow of Buck's throat.
"Absolutely not. I've got half a mind to ask him why he thought he'd get away with it."
Buck pressed a kiss to Eddie's temple.
"He's a teenager, he's just testing the waters. We all did it."
They're silent for a moment. Buck's fingers carded gently through Eddie's hair, stroking soothingly.
"We could watch the sequel? I know it's on Disney+ somewhere"
Eddie hummed softly and shifted in Buck's arms, resting his head against Buck's chest. His eyes were drooping sleepily, his face slack with relaxation.
"Not sure I can keep my eyes open long enough," he admitted.
Buck smiled down at him fondly. He'd known from the moment Eddie had climbed down the stairs, freshly showered and dressed, that he wouldn't make it through the evening without falling asleep. Showers and fresh clothes were Eddie's kryptonite, much like a baby with their favourite blanket. Buck was honestly surprised he'd made it through the movie without falling asleep - though that would have been an impressive feat considering how action filled the film was. And Ryan Reynolds was too hot to miss a second of.
"That's okay, baby," he reassured, still stroking Eddie's hair. "We can just stay here and rest for a minute."
Eddie nuzzled further into Buck's chest and let out a small noise of contentment.
"Resting sounds good," he slurred sleepily, a gigantic yawn splitting his face in two. He smacked his lips and curled the blanket in his fist, both hands tucked under his chin now. Sleepy, squishy, snuggly Eddie was Buck's absolute favourite and he wanted nothing more than curl around him and snarl at anything that tried to touch him.
Buck gently shifted them down the couch so they were stretched out, half on the couch and half on the blowup mattress. He adjusted the blanket so it was laying over top of both of them and went back to his ministrations, stroking Eddie's hair with one hand and tracing feather-light touches over his back with the other.
Slowly but surely, Eddie's breathing began to deepen and even out. His jaw slackened and Buck slowly began to notice a warm, damp patch blooming across his shirt. Despite his vehement denial, Eddie was a drooler.
"Sleep well, sweetheart," Buck whispered into Eddie's hair. He wasn't sure if his boyfriend was awake enough to hear it, but he didn't mind.
Buck felt himself begin to sink further into the cushions as Eddie's breathing lulled him into a state of deep relaxation. He hadn't ever been able to fall asleep easily with other people but there was something about Eddie that made him feel instantly at peace.
Maybe it was the way they'd known each other for years, or the way Eddie's presence was like a balm over any of Buck's problems, making them melt into the background at the mere glimpse of his smile.
Eddie was safety, and Buck's body knew that as he slowly began to drift off himself, soothed by his boyfriend's soft breaths.

I NEED a buddie au based on the song I Really Wanted You by Pansy Division
maybe Buck and Eddie are best friends growing up and when everything goes down with Shannon, Buck is all sad because he’s in love with Eddie and he knew he lost Eddie when they first met or something. idk. it needs a happy ending obviously but like. I’m 99% I cannot do it justice because I’ve never written buddie and I wouldn’t be that confident but hdhsjsnfndjfb I need this as a fic

Ummm.... I'm gonna need a fic where HenRen spend weeks trying to set up a meeting between BuckTommy (pre s7 would probably make more sense) because they just know.
And then...idk? Maybe there's a dinner party planned that they're supposed to attend, and somehow Evan and Tommy miss it because they both get stuck somewhere (elevator? minor fender bender? a fucking long ass train breaks down? idk I live in the midwest lolol)
anyway, they do or don't (really don't care lol) realize they were headed to the same event to be set up, but still end up getting together in the event that pushes them together.
PLEASE.

HAPPY FRIDAY, LOVE! CAN I SEND YOU A PROMPT? :D
Buck/Tommy -- the (4th?) date moment where Buck (maybe accidentally) lets it slip to Tommy that he's really kinda obsessed with the cleft chin (and what happens after).
GIVE ME GRACE I RARELY WRITE IN BUCK'S POV .. eep
Tommy is talking about something, but in all honesty, Buck isn't paying attention.
It's not his fault, it's really, really not. He's just a man, after all. He can't help it.
Tommy is just...so fucking cute.
He's hot, too, holy hell, is he hot. From how he can easily pick Buck up against the wall when they're kissing heavily, to when he manhandles Buck on the couch as they rearrange themselves to make out (there's been a lot of that lately, now that Buck has been feeling a little braver about asking for more), but Tommy is also cute. Buck has noticed how gentle he is with him, how careful, how much he doesn't push, always waits on Buck.
But what Buck thinks is the cutest is his cleft chin. And that's what he's staring at when Tommy sighs in exasperation.
"That's it," he sighs, shaking his head as he leans back in his seat. "What is it? Do I have something in my teeth?"
"W-what?" Buck asked, a dopey smile over his features.
"You're staring, and not in the usual way that I like. You look like you want to laugh."
"Laugh, oh...no, Tommy, no." But Buck does chuckle, and then clears his throat. "Sorry, no. I was just staring cause uh...it's kind of embarrassing."
Tommy gives him that look - the one he gives Buck when he's saying a million different things instead of the one thing he wants to say. "So...I do have something in my teeth?"
"No, embarrassing for me." Buck leans forward a little, and Tommy follows. "I'm uh, kind of obsessed with your chin."
"My--what?" Tommy asks, eyebrows raised.
"I know, I know, every time we go on a date you find out something new and ridiculous about me. It's just...I don't know, really cute. On you, specifically. I, uh..." he brings a hand up tentatively, and grabs Tommy's chin, pressing his thumb right in the middle as his index finger hooks it from behind. "Kinda am always thinking about doing that."
Tommy smiles - it's very large, very bright, Buck likes that a lot as well. He can't remember the last time someone he was dating looked at him like that.
"Or..." Buck's own smile gets wider. "Kissing it. Is-is that weird?"
Tommy grabs Buck's hand but only so he can kiss it. "No. You're not weird or ridiculous, Evan. In fact, you're stupidly adorable."
"Oh yeah?" he tilts his head. "I'm glad that my ridiculousness is working out for me then."
Tommy chuckles affectionately, kissing his hand again, before letting go. Buck takes a moment to squeeze his chin playfully with a loud laugh as Tommy lets him with an equally lighthearted roll of his eyes.
"Anything else you're always thinking about doing, Evan?" Tommy asks, taking a sip of his beer, smiling over it.
Not for the first time, Buck is stunned by the fact that Tommy is so smooth - he doesn't remember ever being someone who fumbles on dates. But now he is (and he doesn't mind it one bit).
"Uh, sure. Yeah. Plenty." he breathes.
"So, wanna get out of here then?" he asks, already getting up and leaving his money in the chequebook on the table.
"Definitely. Yes, definitely." He pushes away from the table without grace, noisy and nervous - the good kind, always the good kind lately. As he stands up, Tommy gets in his bubble, a hand on his waist as he kisses Buck's cheek with a smile.
Buck grabs Tommy by his chin, and right there in the restaurant, with his thumb tucked into the middle, he leans forward and kisses him, right on the lips.

Should there be a Buck intervention?
It probably wouldn’t be right for the show, but I’m surprised that there hasn’t been a intervention with Buck. The firefam (mostly Bobby, Maddie, and Eddie) sees what is happening to Buck and is afraid to say anything besides “you died”. They thought he would get it, but they see his relationship with Natalia and realize that their son/brother/best friend ‘aka soulmate” is not accepting what happened to him, etc... and they develop a intervention for Buck. It could take everybody to tell Buck how much they love him to make him “wake up” and accept what happened and to finally live. Could it take Christopher to finally wake him up from this regression?
This is just me rambling.
Also, this could be prompt/fic idea. If anybody is interested.
