I Guess That's What They Get
"Bitch that's what you get

Full Moon + Apology Tour Episode Analysis/Prediction
Full Moon
The episode stars with Stolas and Blitz waking up on the day of the full moon. Their duet starts, Blitz sings how excited he is for their usual full moon date and the things he wants to to do Stolas in bed. Stolas is excited as well, but anxious. he wants to end their arrangement, and give Blitz to choice to stay or go.
Blitz arrives at imp headquarters. Blitz is in his formal clothes, ready for his and Stolas’ date. He puts Moxxie in charge, and leaves all of his paper work for Moxxie to deal with while he is gone (poor Moxxie).
But before visiting Stolas, Blitz wants to make their night extra special by giving Stolas a romantic gift. With his shopping bag in his hand, he goes to the lust ring asking Fizz for help to find the perfect gift for Stolas.
Blitz arrives at Stolas’ palace, the gift is in his hands what seems to be candles I think? Blitz thinks they’re going to go bed like usual, only to find out that this is not what’s going to happen. Stolas admits to ending the arrangement. Soon, an argument between the two breaks out.
Blitz feels used now that Stolas is ending their deal, thinking that Stolas doesn’t want him anymore. Their argument escalates. And instead of letting Stolas in, Blitz starts to push Stolas away by probably saying something very hurtful to him. Blitz now realizing that he has hurt Stolas badly, desperately tries to reach out to him by trying to grab his hand. But as he does so, Stolas kicks him out of his palace by using a portal. It’s too late now, Blitz has lost Stolas. Then the episode ends.
Viv has said that “You’re losing me” by Taylor Swift is a very Stolas coded song. A part of the lyrics goes like this:
“Now, you're runnin' down the hallway
And you know what they all say
You don't know what you got until it's gone”
By losing Stolas, Blitz realizes now what he had in Stolas and what he has lost. Or maybe he realizes this later in “Apology Tour”?
Apology Tour
(This one was really hard for me to predict. It could go in so many ways, so I’m most likely wrong.)
Blitz visits Stolas, probably to get back into Stolas’ good graces again. But Stolas is not having it. He is still very angry and hurt. He is obviously not happy to see Blitz again. “Do you feel any remorse for what you do?” Judging by this line, Blitz is likely downplaying everything and acting like nothing has happened (Like he did with Barbie). Either way, Blitz attempt to apologize and win Stolas back has failed. So he goes back home, and starts crying on the couch? (him crying on the couch could very well be from another episode)
Eventually, Stolas decides to join Verosika on tour. Verosika likely wants to help Stolas with his break up, and wants to give him a change to vent about Blitz and pour his heart out on stage. Blitz decides to go to Verosika’s concert for some reason. Maybe he goes to the concert to try to apologize to Stolas again? He did seemed to be really focused into trying to apologize to Stolas at the beginning of the ep, so is he is going to try again?
Blitz soon finds out he is not welcome at the concert, which is why he is dressed up as a ghost or something so he could sneak in unoticed? It’s a Halloween concert anyways. Eventually, Blitz bumps into Verosika. Maybe it will result in them finally making up and for Blitz to apologize to her?
The concert begins, and Stolas finally takes the stage. Unaware that Blitz is there, he starts to sing. Judging by the text on the banner, Stolas is singing about his grudge towards Blitz and how hurt he is. The scene with the shattered mirrors with Blitz’ reflection in it during Stolas’ song, also supports that it is possibly a grudge song. It could also be Stolas singing how hurt he is, rather than it being a grudge song, which seems more likely to me?
But maybe as the song progresses, it gradually turns into a love song because he loves Blitz just too much to stay angry at him? While Stolas is singing, Blitz is hearing every word. Blitz looks at him. Is he touched by Stolas’ love song? I think Blitz now knows that Stolas genuinely does love him, since Stolas doesn’t know he is there. So there are no reasons for Blitz to not believe everything Stolas is singing. Not just that, but it will also gave Blitz an insight on how much Stolas is hurting.
However, it seems that Stolas isn’t angry at Blitz anymore. Because in the next scene, Blitz and Stolas appears to be talking (Blitz still has that same ghost disguise on). Looks like Blitz apologized to Stolas, and that they are finally making up. Maybe even confessing their feelings for one another? Who knows, maybe decide to take things slow? It could also be that they just stay friends for now. But I feel like they’re definitely making up. The episode ends.
(Also There is also a whole b plot with m&m and Loona fighting a robot at the lust ring. Not sure if it’s from the same episode? Also I have literally no clue why the robot is there.)

Okay I have some song recs for the stolitz playlist.
The Simplest Words - The Narcissist Cookbook (feels very Blitz perspective of the self hating)
Howl - The Family Crest (This song feels very horny and top energy. The definition of I'm going to make you fall for me. Side note it also feels super omega verse, lol)
So Alright, Cool, Whatever - The Happy Fits (This is aggressive yearning. Oh my lord I could see it from Stolas or Blitz perspective)
Rises the Moon - Momoru (Lovely male cover of this song. For some reason I imagine it as a sad Blitz cover. Like almost this was a lullaby that Tilla would sing to him.)
Functional Poetry - The Narcissist Cookbook
I think I am going to leave my phone at home tonight- The Narcissist Cookbook (cute Blitz or Stolas perspective)
Casualty - Lawrence (Blitz perspective)
C'mon Baby, Cry - Orville Peck (Good cowboy sounding song about letting people in and having your guard down. When Blitz wants to cosplay as a cowboy)
The Curse of the Blackened Eye - Orville Peck (This is a really good song about depression)
Dirty Imbecile - The Happy Fits (Could see from either perspective)
Self Esteem - AJJ (Blitz perspective)
Goodbye Optimism - Pedals on Our Pirate Ships (Super edgy Blitz)
Self-Loathing - Days N Daze (Blitz)
I'm Not a Good Person - Pat The Bunny (Super edgy Blitz)
Horseface Pirate - Blind Mountain Holler (Title is self explanatory. Song just feels Helluva Boss coded)
Next to You - Jon Vincent III
Moments - Micah Edwards (sleepy)
Notice Me - acoustic - ROLE MODEL
Goodbye - The Altogether (sweet goodbye song 😭. Kinda feels apology tour coded)
Painkiller - Ruel (kind of a vibe and a jam)
I recommend some that I don't think you have yet. I have a huge playlist myself for edgy romances. I hope you enjoy 😊.
So many recs! Thank you! ✨💞
The Simplest Words - oh this one is going right into the Blitz playlist, damn. It's so him it hurts. Love how it sounds, too!!
Howl - oh hey I actually already have this song saved, I think an irl friend recced it. And yet somehow I never stopped to pay attention to the lyrics and realise just how well they fit Stolas holy shit. Especially the first half! Wtf. 🤣 I've added it to the Stolas playlist now! (and, yeah, the second half of the song is so omegaverse coded 😂 I love that shit)
So alright, cool, whatever - love it! The rhythm is a bit too upbeat, but I think the lyrics at the beginning are sad enough to fit in the Stolitz angst playlist, so there it goes!
Rises the moon - love how it sounds! I like your idea of Tilla singing it to Blitz, but while I was listening I couldn't help but imagine a sad and lonely Stolas singing it to himself as a way to self-soothe. I feel like the moon imagery and the poetic language fit his character very well. (and how cute and heartbreaking would it be if the song Tilla sings to Blitz is the same song Stolas sings to himself? 😭) added to the Stolas playlist!!!
Functional poetry - the lyrics fit both of them at different parts, so yeah, this one goes to the Stolitz playlist! I really liked it!
I think I'm going to leave my phone at home tonight - the first half of the song fits Stolas so well, I feel! And I like the second half, I have a very soft spot for spoken poetry in the middle of songs (Nightwish songs my beloved), so I think I'm gonna save it to the Stolas playlist!
Casualty - yup, 100% Blitz lol, added!
C'mon baby, cry - oh hey, I already have an Orville Peck song in the Stolas playlist (recced by @stolitzsings!). Despite the cowboy vibes I feel like the lyrics of this song also fit Stolas better, so his playlist is where this is going ❤️
The curse of the blackened eye - saving this one to my likes because I really enjoyed it but I haven't decided if it fits any of my HB playlists!
Dirty imbecile - I think this one might go in my Blitz playlist! Gotta listen to it a couple of times to see if it sticks :)
Self esteem - the lyrics fit Blitz so well! Pity the song is so short!
Goodbye optimism - super edgy indeed! I don't think this one fits my style but I can see Blitz in it!
Self loathing - same as above
I'm not a good person - damn this is so Blitz 😳 how sad is it that the only lyric that doesn't fit him is "I'm asleep all day in my room" because he doesn't have a room? Anyway, this is going in his playlist!
Horseface pirate - loving the way this sounds! It's going in the Blitz playlist methinks :)
Next to you - I'm saving this one to my personal likes because I'm not sure it fits any of my HB playlists but I really enjoyed it!
Moments - this is so pretty 🥺 I can imagine Stolas singing it about Blitz. I'll add it to the Stolitz angst playlist!
Notice me - might keep this one in the Blitz playlist :3 I have to listen to it a couple of times
Goodbye - 😭😭😭 *adds to stolitz angst playlist*
Painkiller - loving the way this one sounds. I'm gonna save it to my likes for now and maybe it'll make it into a playlist after I've listened to it a few times!
Thanks SO MUCH for these recs, I loved so many of these!!!! 😍

@corbin-is-sleepy I did it.....
So a lot of my ideas aren't very specific, they're just random edits set to songs from the blitzstone playlist I made four years ago (I Hear a Symphony by Cody Fry, Paper Rings by Taylor Swift, She by Dodie, Stolen Dance by Milky Chance, and a lot more)
BUT I do have some more specific ones
I'm not very good at explaining why, so bare with me
so hold me
wrap me in love, fill up my cup
cause I'm hollow
LITERAL EMPTY CUP ANTHEM
like i can't even express how empty cup family this song is
but sometimes I feel
like I'm only a ghost, like I'm only a wall
and if you come around, honey, I'll probably just follow you home
this just feels really Hearth to me
oh I wish I was more than my skin and my bones
I've been arranging each of my movements
and all of my gestures trying to fool myself
Hearthstone being shamed for being deaf by his father perchance
I know that it ain't much, I know that it ain't cool
oh but you don't have to tell the other kids at school
my dad'll strike it rich, we'll be the big house on the block
someday I'm gonna be somebody people want
switching it up!!! this song is very very blitzen to me
if there's no one beside you
when your soul embarks
then I'll follow you into the dark
they would literally do anything for eachother uugghghs i love them sm
the moon will sing a song for me
I loved you like the sun
the blitzstone sun/moon dynamic is something that can be so personal actually
the fact that personality wise Hearthstone is the moon one and Blitzen is the sun one, but Hearth needs the sun to survive and Blitz needs the dark
I don't even have a specific lyric from this one it's all just so blitzstone
I can't break the cycle, am I just a fool?
falling down like dominoes, hit by family jewels
this part is Hearth
pass it down from kid to kid, the chain will never end
'less I decide to go to it will I see the end?
and this part is Blitz
I don't have any specific lyrics for this one either, they just care so much about each other
Hearth core, reminds me of "Daisies in the Shape of an Elf"
rate yourself and rake yourself, take all the courage you have left
and waste it on fixing all the problems that you made in your own head
BLITZEN BLITZEN BLITZENNN
all of this song reminds me of Blitz, but this part stands out to me
I also have already made two Blitzstone edits before and I kind of want to talk about them lol
the first one was to "Fire and the Flood" by Vance Joy (this was also the very first edit I made ever)
the big reason that this song reminds me of blitzstone is because the first time I read THoT, I was in a mall and that song was playing (right as I got to the Blitz being stabbed part)
but also the more I listen to it the more it feels actually blitzstone coded
the second one was to "Chemtrails Over the Country Club" by Lana Del Ray
this was actually a fairly recent edit and I really like how it turned out (even thought I don't like doing edits with fanart and still pictures)
I did it to the "you're in the wind, I'm in the water" part if you know what I'm talking about and I had Hearth as the wind because elfs are creatures of air and Blitz as the water part because of the shower scene
Long post omg but any excuse to talk about blitzstone

The Age // Ed Sanders
This is the Age of Investigation, and every citizen must investigate! For the pallid tracks of guilt and death, slight as they are, suffuse upon the retentive electromagnetic data-retrieval systems of our era. And let th’ investigators not back away one micro-unit from their investigations — for the fascist hirelings of gore await in the darkness to shoot away the product of the ballot box And if full millions do not investigate, we will see the Age of Gore, and the criminals of the right will rise up drooling with shellfish toxin, to send their berserker blitz of mod manchurian malefactors mumbling with motorized beowulfian trance-instructions, to chop up candidates in the name of some person-with-a-serotonin- imbalance’s moan of national security And this is the Age of Investigative Poetry, when verse-froth again will assume its prior role as a vehicle for the description of history—and this will be a golden era for the public performance of poetry: when the Diogenes Liberation Squadron of Strolling Troubadours and Muckrakers will roam through the citadels of America to sing opposition to the military hit men whose vision of the U.S.A. is a permanent War Caste & a coast-to-coast cancer farm & a withered, metal-backed hostile America forever And this is the age of left-wing epics with happy endings! of left-wing tales/movies/ poems/ songs/ tractata/ manifestoes/ epigrams/calligrammes/graffiti/neonics and Georges Braque frottage-collage-assemblage Data Clusters which dangle from their cliffs the purest lyricals e’er to hang down a hummingbird’s singingbird throat This is the age of Garbage (pronounced Garbájzhe). And we’re not talking here about Garbage Self-Garbage—but an era of robotic querulousness— how at the onset of a time when the power of a country is up for grabs, the Garbage Hurlers, attired in robes of military-industrial silk, arise to hurl, as swift in their machinations as a chorus in the Ice Capades: and none of us will trudge this era without a smirch-face waft of thrilly offal dumped upon our brows of social zeal—and the pus-suck provocateurs armed with orbiting plates of dog vomit will leap at us while we stand chanting our clue-ridden dactyls of KNOW THE NEW FACTS EARLY! Know-the-new-facts-early, know-the-new-facts early! And do not back away one micro-unit just because some C.I.A. weirdomorph whose control agents never ended WW II invades your life with a mouthful of curdled exudate from the head of the Confederate Intelligence Agency & This is the Age of Nuclear Disarmament—when the roamers of the Hills join hands with the nesters of the Valley Wild, to put an end to nuke puke w/ a zero-waver total transworld Peace Walk—that the War Caste wave no more their wands of plutonium and the dirks in the nuclear mists no longer chop up the code of life

spaced repetition
reviewing the previous topic after learning a new one
but also forgetting is good -> your brain takes more effort to remember, strengthening that connection
then my problem is managing the frustration of that.. *sigh*
what is everything I remember at the end of the day?
techniques etc
2 minutes a day can really be enough?
for myself anyways-- and failing / forgetting a bit isn't that bad so long as I eventually get back to it
my subjects? my health? choir. coding... ttrpg.. art? [subjects to revise] color code ability of revision
could do that for songs [lyrics and sections] or exercises [how easy to do or remember how to]?
better to || blitz through; recall; move on || (interleap)
quantity rather than quality
what makes brain work the hardest [choose those]
considering that I have issues retaining memories (self-fulfilling prophecy) -> perhaps attempting to remember the events of the past or previous day could be a training / game?

52: Marianne Faithfull // Broken English
Broken English Marianne Faithfull 1979, Island Broken English is the best album you can get for $5 at any used record store in North America. I can guess why that might be—that sweet spot of having sold well enough to be well-circulated in its day, but lacking that recognizable hit that perennially re-introduces it to new generations through adverts and soundtrack licensing. (Though I would love it if “Why’d Ya Do It” had a moment on Tik Tok.) Still, in an era where the work of female artists is under intense reconsideration, I’m surprised there hasn’t been more of a move to give the 76-year-old Faithfull her due for this singular testament to resilience.
Broken English is the ideal of ‘living well is the best revenge’ in action, though of course Faithfull had famously not been living very well in the years prior to its release. Like Marilyn Monroe, there was something unique about her appearance-affect that breathed the word “money” in that coded language ambitious men in the entertainment business speak. In an industry with no shortage of blondes with husky voices, producer after producer made the effort to pick Marianne up from whatever hotel room or Blitz-ravaged squat her last go-round with fame had left her in because she had an indefinable it.
Though she never had the vocal power of a Dusty Springfield, she was no blank muse for boyfriend Mick Jagger or the Stones’ conniving ‘60s manager Andrew Loog Oldham either. Few if any of her teen idol peers of either sex could’ve evoked the fever-weak dolour and vampiric yearning she brings to her 1969 version of “Sister Morphine,” including Jagger. By the time she was ‘rediscovered’ in 1978 by guitarist (and subsequent long-time song-writing partner) Barry Reynolds and Chris Blackwell of Island Records, years of abuse had reduced her voice to a scabrous caw. On the re-recording of “Sister Morphine” cut during the Broken English sessions (but relegated to a B-side), she sounds like she’s been writhing in that same hospital bed a long time indeed.
youtube
Lurid as the details may appear from the outside, the cycles of addiction and rehab and relapse can be fatally tedious for a person with any brains, and you don’t survive them without developing a certain gallows humour. Chainsmoking in the blue shadows, on Broken English Faithfull observes Cold War brinksmanship, domestic alienation, and the hustle for a fix with the same crooked smile. Her wracked new voice makes each performance grippingly personal, though only about half the lyrics came from her own pen. She’s aided by superb production and performances. In the late ‘70s, every label tried to squeeze a little extra mileage out of their rust-bitten pop stars by slapping on a disco or new wave paintjob, usually to embarrassing results. But the rhythmic tension and chilly synthesizers of new wave fit Faithfull perfectly, perhaps because she had so recently lived the industrial British squalor that was in the process of birthing post-punk.
On the blackly hilarious “Why’d Ya Do It” she acts both parts of a domestic incident for the ages, getting to play both a jilted woman’s tearful rage and the sour, sarcastic cocksmanship of a cheating man. The band could’ve chosen to read the tune as a dirge, but instead they serve up seven-minutes of irresistible, skanking rhythm, topped by a slithering lead guitar, organ, and sax. (The nearly nine-minute original mix proves they could’ve filled a whole side of vinyl with it as far as I’m concerned.) The combination of Faithfull’s nostalgic murmur and Steve Winwood’s glossy synths turn Dr. Hook’s “The Ballad of Lucy Jordan” into a Euro sci-fi dream, like an elderly woman forced to relive her own unsatisfied youth while she dies in a Holodeck.
youtube
If any song here is ripe for rediscovery by a pop audience, I’d put forth the crystalline ballad “Witches’ Song,” which could’ve been a Stevie Nicks-Christine McVie cowrite (it’s like “Rhiannon” crossed with “Everyday”). It feels like both an escapist fantasy and a nourishing statement of sisterhood, with a beguiling mysticism to its lyric: “Danger is great joy / Dark as bright as fire / Happy is our family / Lonely is our ward.” (Queue me making these noises.)
Broken English gave Marianne Faithfull’s career a new lease on life, and while she’s seldom seen quite the same level of critical or commercial attention since, she’s also been able to hang on to what she has this time. So, in that sense, it’s done plenty for her already—but as a record, I think it stands with the best music of its time, and I probably should’ve had to pay a bit more at the shop to take it home with me.

Runnin’ the Red
I’unno if this is still on my blog somewhere or not BUT. I remembered that once upon a time I wanted to write lyrics for songs Mavis might write, and maybe I’ll resume that challenge, but point being, I only ever wrote one. It’s meant to be Mavis’ gift to Turbo on the fifth anniversary of his game. I honestly love it but I buried it away for so long because I wrote it right before a Terrible thing was done to me and I couldn’t shake the association. But I want to reclaim it, so I made a couple edits and I will share it now. Enjoy!
------------
Arcade’s closed, sleepin’ blows, time to skip this town Don’t wait, cut the brakes, there’s no slowin’ it down
(CHORUS): Like a turbocharged comet cranked to overdrive You’re clockin’ in at one-thousand-eight-twenty-five Every record shakin’, breakin’ from your gunpowder blitz Your shiny name’s up in lights, that pyrotechnic glitz You’re a loose cannon, sugar, goin’ outta control Always runnin’ the red n’ takin’ home the gold
(Oohh~ Ohh wooaah ohh~ Ohh woahh oh~)
Don’t want the clean-cut life, don’t need a level head Raising Hell’s in my code, I’m either daring or dead There’s one other I know who’d ditch the rose for the thorns He’s a speed demon with a red cross on his horns I got got no confessions, I’d hate to be divine Everyone’s got their demons, I just play well with mine
When breakin’ gravity’s laws is your reason n’ rhyme You’re wanted dead or alive for supersonic crimes Let ‘em try to gun down our bulletproof metal machine Runnin’ on quicksilver feathers n’ sassafras gasoline Gonna steal our way through the crazy crossin’ ahead Blindin’ high beams glowin’ white, won’t see us runnin’ the red
Like a turbocharged comet cranked to overdrive You’re clockin’ in at one-thousand-eight-twenty-five Every record shakin’, breakin’ from your gunpowder blitz Your shiny name’s up in lights, that pyrotechnic glitz You’re a loose cannon, sugar, goin’ outta control Always runnin’ the red n’ takin’ home the gold
(Oohh~ Ohh wooaah ohh~ Ohh woahh oh~)
(WHISTLE TURBO-TIME THEME, pick strings quietly, gain volume over bridge)
(BRIDGE): Throat’s feelin’ dry from a five year sugar high Get a grenadine cocktail mixed to perfection Maraschino skewers for some back-seat confections Keep your keys in ignition Armed to the teeth with gourmet ammunition Have a blast, celebrate, cut the fuse and ignite Cherry bomb detonates, screamin’ red, runnin’ white
(OW~!)
I got dynamite n’ fireworks to bring the Devs to their knees So let’s go strap onto a rocket just to feel the G’s Though we got five years ‘til that sucker lights up the sky The view is fit for a king, n’ the jester’s diggin’ the ride With no apology, grief, remorse, or regret When the decade is out, let’s keep on runnin’ the red

Song rec for your Stolitz playlist. Don't know if it'll be your style of music (totally understandable!), but the lyrics of Rizzle Kicks' "I love you more than you think" is so Blitz coded, especially the second verse.
Catching up on some song recs from my askbox now! Yeah, this one is going directly into the Blitz playlist. Funnily enough, I think it also fits Bubbline a bit!

Anti-Westerns — Glass Bottom Boat Ride (Western Revisions)
Glass Bottom Boat Ride by Anti-Westerns
An anti-western film is a movie that has horses and sheriffs and even Indians, but definitely doesn’t reinforce the moral code of the cowboy. Its hero is at least a non-conformist and often a criminal, and he (it is always a he) likely drinks more than is truly good for him. The Anti-Westerns, who are, essentially, Plates of Cake on a Johnny Cash bender, do their best to represent this anti-heroic aesthetic, celebrating beer and whiskey and hangovers, taking pot shots at piety and eating chicken with their greasy fingers. The band, led by Jonathan Byerley and including Zachary Cale, Joshua Carrafa, Jason McDaniel and several different drummers, is made up of Brooklyn-ites, but they are clearly having a good time with the slides and chugs and twangy two-steps of roadhouse country. You can imagine quite a load of bottles in the trash after these recording sessions, which our heroes likely hauled off to recycling, responsible city boys that they are.
The music is quite good, its indie underpinnings showing a bit through gleeful Americana flourishes. A lot of it’s in waltz time, the country-est of time signatures, but some of it hops and bops in 4/4, kicking up clouds of jangle and bluegrass picking in the intervals between verses. The guitar playing is particularly good, any why wouldn’t it be, with three indie veterans (Byerley himself, Cale and Carrafa) taking turns gleefully cranking the twangs and slides on a busman’s holiday. The bass is also elemental but effective, putting meat on the bones of these playful songs, which are not quite parodies but not entirely straight either.
Byerley sings in a mordant murmur, tossing off urbane asides about aging, love and drinking (often in combination), but he gets off his best lines when he tangles with religion. “I am the lamb who keeps Jesus employed,” he admits ruefully in the mostly acoustic “Toothpaste and Gin,” and when a doctor tells him to cut back on the drinks and the smokes, he replies, “Hey doc it’s fine…I’m older than Jesus was, so it’s all extra time.” The song, “Extra Time,” closes out the album in woozy, inebriated, group-sung exuberance; you sense an affinity among the band members for lyrics about trying to stay prodigal as middle age closes in.
Glass Bottom Boat Ride is good fun all the way through, even as it pokes at the scabs around getting older, drinking too much, rolling with the pains and pleasures of a long-term relationship and maybe not having set the world on fire the way you’d planned to. The highlight, though, dispatches with all those nagging discontents, puts down the brown liquor and celebrates the simple joys of eating. No one eats a chicken quite like Byerley’s loved one, the song says, which is to say, without a fork or knife or napkin, and most likely cracking the bones to get the marrow out. “Chicken Eating Blues” is a sing-along song, with a rowdy call and response, and though enthusiasms run high, for once, no one is getting blitzed. “Do we have any milk?” Byerley asks, near the end. Even if you’re not much into simple pleasures, you’ll get a kick out of this.

Rockstar by Lauren Rowe
RELEASE BLITZ
To be post on April 29th
ROCKSTAR, an all-new standalone emotional romance by Lauren Rowe is NOW LIVE!
Blurb:
It was lyrics at first sight when I saw Violet Rhodes across that crowded party. She was lights and darks, swirled together. Music in motion. And all of it while looking like a hitwoman at an Elvis convention.
I had nothing to offer the intriguing girl but a one-night stand. I figured I’d revel in my last night of anonymity before my first tour and shoot her a quick “We’ll always have L.A.!” goodbye the next morning.
But nothing went according to plan.
In one night, Violet crawled under my skin and into my bloodstream. She tattooed her name across my chest and between my legs. She became my muse. And then she was gone.
Now, months later, here she is again. And in a twist I never saw coming, it turns out Violet is ultra-violet radiation. Beautiful, ethereal light bringing with her the promise of damage and destruction.
My brain tells me to walk away from this girl, but my heart can’t stop feeling like she might be one of a kind . . . the sort of girl who comes along once in a violet moon.
ROCKSTAR is a standalone romance, the love story of Dax Morgan and the electrifying woman who rocked his world during his journey to worldwide rock superstardom.

spellsandpixiedust:
Oh, wow… apparently someone’s incredibly touchy and it wasn’t Liam for a change. Which only led to more questions, such as whether Jeff was unwilling to crack a smile in the face of danger, refused to laugh at his (admittedly poor) jokes or if he was indeed such a buzzkill no shapeshifting nightmare creature or black mage mattered in this equation. Yeah, probably the last. Liam furrowed his brows and showed off his best Billy Idol commemorative lip curl, followed by a quiet “Get stuffed.”
Granted, that piece of advice was as unnecessary as it was patronising, but that was to be expected from someone who usually talked lyrics code in hairy situations. Or who surrounded himself with beings much more capable of dealing with this bollocks than he’d ever be. Oh, yeah. Emelia would know what to do. She’d probably laughed at his jokes, too, and by now they’d prepare their Ballroom Blitz manoeuvre and end this creature’s bloody temper tantrum. Likely, she would have scolded him for announcing himself target as well, very much unlike Jeff. Thanks for nothing, mate.
“Quite the hero type ye are, innit?”, Liam commented, mordant sarcasm dripping from his lips. As much as he hoped his best friend would never find out about this (which was highly unlikely) he was just a heart beat from sacrificing his soul in order to swap Jeff for Emelia. It just wouldn’t work. “Great. Call her, so she can watch us from the shop window. The place is sealed. Nuthin’ gets in or out.” Which had been a helpful tool in his long struggle named cold turkey. Locking himself in. At least then, with all the shivers and panic attacks, the sweating and consuming craving, he never had to deal with a swarm of bees and a loose Incubus. Stop thinking. Just stop thinking already. How hard could that be? He always managed to talk before giving his head a wobble, but now that his mind should be blank it served an all-you-can-eat buffet for hungry psychic wankers. Quick: think of Kiefer Sutherland in The Lost Boys!
The buzzing grew louder - obviously it didn’t work then. Would’ve been too good to be true anyway. “Smashing”, the mage muttered, tossing that prison box at Jeff for the sole reason of having his own hands free. “I have a plan”, or a vague idea of a draft for a possible plan, “I need yer help for that. Ye’re gonna consult the books for me and I’ll keep the killer bees and handsome demon blokes off yer back!” Now that almost sounded like a great plan. Throwing the next best object - a skull of whatever creature that might’ve been - at the approaching bees probably ruined his image of a sophisticated magician completely. “Right. Move! I’m right behind you.”
Oh right... Jeff had forgotten that the shop was currently locked from the inside. So even if Emelia did get here, she wouldn’t be able to get in. Bollocks...
Before Jeff could really even think about it further he found the prison box flying through the air towards his head and Liam yelling at him something about a plan and consulting ‘the books,’ and then telling him to get a move on.
There remained one problem with that plan.
“Which books, you nob!?” Jeff shouted back even as he made a dash for the stacks. “We’re in a bloody curio shop! Half the stock in here is books!”
That said, Jeff had at least a vague idea for where to go.
“The office! I remember, Emelia said there’s an old grimoire back there that has counterspells for all the hexes in the shop, and the details of all of the enchantments. It might have the spells or charms or whatever for the prison boxes too!”
But in order to get there, first they’d need to get past the bees... and the incubus wherever the hell he was. Well, Liam had said he’d cover him. Time to test that theory.
“I’m going to make a run for it. I don’t see the incubus, so he must still be in the backroom. This plan of yours better work, otherwise if that incubus gets to us we’re in a whole other mess of trouble...”
The bees were swarming closer still and Jeff had to take a moment to psyche himself up mentally in order to do what he knew he had to, namely run through the swarm, and with one last deep breath and a curse he rushed it, yelping in pain as the bees (fake though they might be) stung him on his way by.
However, once he made it through the buzzing abruptly stopped. The bees were gone, but that probably meant that the shapeshifter was regrouping and choosing some other skin that would terrify.

QUOTES OF THE YEAR
“The Prime Minister has the right to determine when election is called but it does not matter to me now if he calls it early. He could call it in January, February, March, April or May but at the end of the day we know that it has to be called. But what bothers me is that when you listen to this man as far as he is concerned, it is only about what time they [DLP) have left rather than what time the country has left.” Leader of the Barbados Labour Party & NEXT PRIME MINISTER OF BARBADOS Mia Amor Mottley.
“I don’t need any law to tell me that there should be any fixed election date because my view is, if the people vote for you for five years, serve five years unless there is a no confidence motion that brings the Government down. You are given five years, serve your five years. Don’t throw back the time that the people gave you, in their face,” Prime Minister of Barbados Freundel Stuart
“My opinion is that the entire Government should resign; the Prime Minister should resign, and every single member of his Cabinet. It is clear that they do not understand how to prioritise . . . . The tourism industry is [what] we should be focused on,” Former minister of transport and works Joseph Tudor.
“I made the decision to tell Barbados Labour Party to keep St John and go from around me because of the political foolishness that is going on,” UPP Candidate for St. John former BLP Candidate Hudson Griffith.
“The noise of adults quarrelling in society is noise that we can do without. The noise of some of our adults fighting with dogs is noise that we can do without. This brutality we can do without. The noise of two women or two men, the noise of two women cursing each other in the vilest way because of a no-good man is noise we can do without. The noise of two women fighting over the no-good man is noise we can do without. Noise of mothers telling their boy children they are just like their fathers is noise that we can do without. The noise of a mother telling her daughter you little ‘wuffless’ thing is noise we can do without. The noise we want is noise that liberates,” Minister of Education Ronald Jones
“I am not surprised. I know former Minister Thompson was fired from the Cabinet of Owen Arthur. I think she works for the United Nations in some capacity but she seems to still be actively involved in the Barbadian political scene, I don’t know why,” in response to Liz Thompson calling for his resignation.
“If you are going to judge me, judge me for working hard to better myself, especially coming from a humble background with no Uncle Tom, no Uncle Errol, or no Uncle Elliott or Auntie Lizzy. Judge me because without a silver spoon or a golden shovel I determined by the Grace of God that I was going to be a somebody,” Maureen Holder.
‘The problem in Barbados is not the high cost of living, the problem in Barbados is the cost of high living’. Prime Minister Freundel Stuart quoting Mia Mottley who was quoting Errol Barrow!
“When you hear that our foreign reserves are under pressure it is because of what we import and because of what you all go on the supermarket shelves and see. It is not that anybody in the Government is stealing foreign currency and carrying it and putting it under their bed.’ Prime Minister Freundel Stuart
“One night I lay down in my bed and hear, ‘Tonight at the National Stadium we have Red Rat, Elephant Man, we have Wolf Man, Bird Man, and they had a snake too – they had Cobra – and don’t forget we have Hypa Dawg and Peter Ram. So there were all animals at the Stadium.” Veteran Entertainer Richard Stoute
“I know a guy who said last year ‘take off something and pelt it way’ and they gave him $50 000 and the next year he came back and said ‘bend down, bend down, bend down’, $50 000 more … I wrote something like Goodbye Bajan Girl, the Best Part Of My Day, You Can Make It If You Try, Rocksteady Christmas, all the beautiful songs I wrote never got a dime.” Veteran Entertainer Richard Stoute
“Whosoever shall have the pleasure of being the Minister of Education shall be rising to give their first ministerial statement and . . . they shall commit the Government of Barbados to paying fees for students of Barbados at the University of the West Indies from academic year 2018 to 2019,” Leader of the Barbados Labour Party Mia Amor Mottley.
“Mia Mottley is a sinner seeking grace like the rest of us . . . . She may not be a saint. She would tell you that she is a sinner. And I am telling you she is not a scoundrel that the Democratic Labour Party is painting her to be,” said Liz Thompson.
“Don’t mind all of this diddle doodling and double speak . . . A promise is a promise to a fool and they [BLP] are going to give you basket after basket of promises, but they are not going to relate to any realities in Barbados. They will promise to give you the heaven and the stars and they are doing that because they are not sure how the people are going to respond to them. So you are fooling people by promising to give them everything but we are not going to allow the Barbados Labour Party’s soft dumplings to carry away our rice. We are going to tell them that,” Minister of Education Ronald Jones
“I have no difficulty with anybody in Barbados at any time discussing corruption or integrity because Freundel Stuart as far as those two things are concerned sleeps well at night. I have said over again that there is nobody in Barbados or outside of Barbados holding any secret for Freundel Stuart . . . I have never had my integrity questioned and I don’t know that you can legislate integrity. You either have it or you don’t have it,” Prime Minister Freundel Stuart.
“Today there are more than 100,000 private vehicles in Barbados and such accessibility is no longer an issue as it was in 1976,” BLP’s Christ Church East Central candidate Ryan Straughn.
“My dear friend Lynette Eastmond is a politician who hitherto exhibited quite a bit of reason and common sense, but in her quest to get elected, I think this is probably her fourth attempt, she seems to have lost her ability to reason.” Minister of International Business, Small Business Development, Industry and Commerce Donville Inniss
“Eastmond knows full well, as someone who loitered in the Ministry of International Business as the minister a few years ago, that you cannot measure the contribution of the business sector purely on the basis of the tax take,” Minister of International Business, Small Business Development, Industry and Commerce Donville Inniss
“What you are going through means nothing to Freundel Stuart. Your discomfiture means nothing to Freundel Stuart. Your inability to make ends meet and pay monthly bills mean nothing to Freundel Stuart,” Member of Parliament for St James Central Kerrie Symmonds
“So the idiot, the fool, the clown, gets that power against the palm of his hand and . . . he is now a God, because the potential to take life is in his grasp. These are the dichotomies within our space,” Minister of Education Ronald Jones.
“You realize that Mary Redman has a membership of about 350 people, and you realize that the woman went into the park with about 400 [people] and she was the only person who a hole found. I can’t understand. Four hundred people in the park and the hole found the foot of one person – the trade union leader – and the Leader of the Opposition had to lift her up, apparently,” Former Deputy General Secretary of the Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU) Robert Bobby Morris.
“The unions should have had this country shut down until the Government goes. How much more damage can this Government do? It is about time they go. This Government has done more damage to the island than Hurricane Janet,” veteran trade unionist Caswell Franklyn.
“A march or a walk by union leaders from Queen’s Park to Parliament in an aim to lose some weight or to burn calories is not absolutely necessary for Government to hear the views of the union.” Minister of International Business, Small Business Development, Industry and Commerce Donville Inniss
“I understand this is the silly season, but one would expect responsible people would rise above the level of silliness that this season is demonstrating. I’m condemning Peter Wickham and David Ellis,” Queen’s Counsel Hal Gollop.
“I would just like to disabuse the minds of any person out there that there is any benefit to be derived by anybody associated with Harford Chambers and it being a partnership. It is not a partnership. No one other than myself and my son, who is in association with me, stands to benefit from our involvement in this matter,” Queen’s Counsel Hal Gollop.
“I know a lot of what I see can’t be fun, it is too crass. There is a possession of evil in the midst of merriment.” Minister of Education, Science and Technology Ronald Jones.
“A licence to behave badly is not given on Kadooment Day. The licence is given to parade on Kadooment Day,” Minister of Education, Science and Technology Ronald Jones.
“I am going to give you a phrase that I use to describe the private sector of Barbados. I have been criticized for it and it doesn’t bother me one way or another. I have said it before and I will say it again and I want this written as Jepter Ince say so. The private sector of Barbados is an extension of the public service and a parasitic plant in the bosom of Government.,” Government Senator Jepter Ince.
“I hear all the talk about children suffering, bellies to them back, but I don’t see that. That is not my experience. I see Barbadians showing thrift and enterprise and doing the wonderful things to help themselves,” Minister of Social Care Steve Blackett.
“You ask the middle class of this country to make another sacrifice, you ask civil servants in this country to make another sacrifice, you ask poor people in this country to make another sacrifice, you beg them to hold strain, you tell them about team Barbados . . . you tell them you have this wonderful homegrown strategy, and nine years later what do they get yesterday evening? All they have to show for their sacrifice is an effective de facto devaluation of their social and economic existence and a de facto devaluation of the Barbados dollar by these measures that have been put by the Minister of Finance,” Leader of The Barbados Labour Party Mia Amor Mottley in delivering her official rely to the Budget.
“Put the letter on Facebook . . . I don’t care!” was the retort issued by Minister of Tourism and International Transport Richard Sealy tonight as he hit back at charges levelled by Opposition Leader Mia Mottley about the long delayed $300 million Sugar Point cruise ship terminal.
“This society is eating its young just like a disturbed centipede . . . We are not physically putting them in our mouths, but physically abusing many of our young people denying them those simple things that they need,” Minister of Education, Science and Technology Ronald Jones.
“I am finding more and more, women are sharing their favours . . . too easily, and when they wake up and the children are born they suddenly realize that the man who they shared their favour with, he is a good for nothing,” Magistrate Wanda Blair.
“There is need for a change in this Government now. Things are definitely too hard in Barbados and this Government has to go. There is no doubt about it. Since the DLP has been in power, which is generally the case, money is never around. Whenever this Government comes into power, money just disappears,” Orson Smith constituent in St. James South.
“What I have said to the [Police] Commissioner and his team, ‘we need to train the officers to not be afraid of WhatsApp’. If you are doing your job like you are supposed to then the cell phone is actually your friend, the video is your friend. You need not be afraid of it. Just do what they supposed to do,” Attorney General Adriel Brathwaite.
“I do not believe Barbados is a homophobic society. That is why I do not agree with the gay and lesbian society and their rhetoric. I think they are just grandstanding and they do not have any evidence for the claims they make in this society. Quite frankly, I think they should just keep quiet and get on with their own business,” said Donville Inniss.
“We have listened keenly to the private sector and however well intentioned they may be, there can be no attempt to place income taxes back on the backs of poor people in this country again,” a defiant Mottley said. “Poor people could barely afford income taxes in good times, how could they in all conscience do it now in these difficult times and ask them to pay for the Government’s incompetence of the greed of a few? [It] is completely unacceptable if we are to maintain a stable cohesive society in this country. “The truth is, fiscal problems in this country were not caused by poor people and the solutions to our fiscal problems will not come from putting on the backs of poor people additional income taxes,” Leader of The Barbados Labour Party Mia Amor Mottley
“There is an attempt in certain quarters to advance a legislative call for same-sex marriage, and I do not have any intention, within or without the legislator to support any such notion because I still believe in the biblical way of life”. Minister of Environment Dr. Denis Lowe
“We want our boys and our girls to grow up in a society where they are not embarrassed because they live in a house where mum is a woman and dad is a man,” Minister of Environment Dr. Denis Lowe
“It has always been my understanding and my experience that the bank manager’s child will write the exam at the same time as [the child of] his maid or gardener, and once that child has the ability and the training to write that examination, both of them could probably go to the older grammar schools or to the newer secondary schools, or perhaps go and get a bursary,” Cynthia Forde.
“They [Government] are free to choose whatever they want to do. Time is the best evaluator of reason. They have to find a way to attempt to discredit me, but I know that we cannot get out of these economic challenges without restructuring and the financing of the national debt,” Minister of Agriculture Dr David Estwick.
“Let them proceed. Time is the best revealer of who was right and wrong. I proposed domestic debt restructuring, foreign debt restructuring, a combination of the two as well as the entire debt via the sinking fund strategy . . . . They are on their own,” he stressed, adding, “I have nothing more to say on the matter.” Minister of Agriculture Dr David Estwick.
“I can say to you that this upcoming election will perhaps be one of the toughest as a political party. It is not going to be easy to convince folks to see things our way,” Minister of International Business, Industry, Commerce and Small Business Development Donville Inniss.
“Given the history of the Church and all the scandals that went on, the Church should be the last institution trying to give anyone advice about sex,” educator and Anglican priest Reverend Charles Morris .
“I am not running my ministry with one eye on any rating agency, we are doing what we are doing in the best interest of the country,” Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler.
“Some of our problems may be traced to the handpicking of senior teachers, heads of departments, deputy principals and principals of our schools in the recent past. There must be certain horses for certain courses and it is probably because of the aforementioned that our schools have seen an upsurge in deviant behaviour to the point where this country’s education system is destined for a catastrophic collapse. The practice of a Minister of Education nominating some political persons to chair and serve on school boards needs to be revisited. We have found that some of those members have not a clue what their role is on these boards,” President of BUT Pedro Shepherd.
“This minister has no empathy. We have had reports of members going to the mental [Psychiatric Hospital] because they could not pay their mortgages. We have had one member that lost their job in that retrenchment effort and they later committed suicide. We can’t say for sure that these things were as a direct result of their dismissal, but the point remains that people are seriously hurting because of this,” President of NUPW Akanni McDowall re Denis Lowe.
“Let me be clear in saying that unlike the claim that is being made, the NCC has no obligation to anybody who has not applied or who would not apply, and that retrenchment is not a condition for engagement with the NCC. What we will do is give full consideration to anyone who expresses an interest in working with the NCC,” Minister of the Environment and Drainage Dr Denis Lowe.
“I am very straightforward. I don’t lie and I don’t steal. So tell him to leave me alone,” Speaker of Parliament Michael Carrington
“ We have changed the guard, we have not change the principles,” Sir Roy Trotman.
“When you don’t stand up for yourself and demonstrate that you are professionals and that you need to be treated like that at all times, then you are treated like a cornered animal. Everybody will then take jabs at you and that is the reality,” BSTU President Mary Redman.
“We must not be judged as women in this country on the basis of being childless because I can tell you, we parent children who are not our own. And I want to make that point abundantly clear to all of you in this chamber on both sides. Be your own judge but don’t judge us. At the end of the day we have made the sacrifice to be here,” Santia Bradshaw M.P St Michael South East.
“They had a young man, 13 years old I understand he is, parading across the stage with or without the permission of his parents, in full glare of all, exploiting the young man. That is equivalent, as far as I’m concerned, to sexual abuse or physical abuse. It is!” Minister of Social Care Steve Blackett.
“I denounce and deprecate the egregious insult that was levelled at us the citizens of Barbados by Pilgrim (George),” political activist David Commissiong.
“When I say what I have to say and people say that, ‘oh Donville Inniss wants to be Prime Minister of Barbados’ but there ain’t no vacancy. However if a vacancy arises I will be a fool not put my hat in the ring,” MP St. James South Donville Inniss.
“I want to say how pleased the constituents of St John are at the completion of the St John Polyclinic and indeed another complex, the David Thompson Health and Services Complex,” Mara Thompson MP St. John
“With less than a year to go before general election, I think it would require God to come out of heaven to reverse the situation for the DLP. I do not see any miracles occurring under Stuart’s uninspiring, lacklustre and ineffective leadership” political strategist Reudon Eversley.
"We have a Party of stupid people at the helm who don't know they are stupid." Ann-Marie Fergus
“Based on my knowledge, people were offered money to come and marchThe fact that people were willing to turn up to the march and receive a gratuity for just turning up speaks [volumes] of what Barbadians should fear going into the next election,” George Pilgrim – General Secretary of the DLP
“We have not asked people to come out and march because the others can do that. So the BLP has come and they’ve asked people to march and they’ve marched. And I encourage people, ‘go and march, just do not vote for them’. Grenville Philips II – Solutions Barbados
“To those of you who are marching, ask yourself whose backs are you marching for as a result of this money spent. We accept that the times are not ordinary but by marching, you are accepting money and supporting a new dimension in political life. Barbadians, do not destroy Barbados through politics.” DLP General Secretary George Pilgrim.
“One of the things, I said recently somewhere else, one of the things I am giving up for Lent is speaking too long.” Prime Minister Freundel Stuart
“I never thought that I would have to come to the country to ask Prime Minister Freundel Stuart to stop speaking, but of late his public utterances are even more offensive than his customary silence of indifference,” Leader of the Barbados Labour Party Mia Mottley
“Rating agencies can only downgrade Barbados’ credit worthiness, its ability to borrow. They cannot downgrade Barbados itself,” Prime Minister Freundel Stuart
“Never has there been a party that has described Barbadians in some of the worse terms and pejorative language as the Barbados Labour Party. They say they are eating Ramen (noodles) and spaghetti and sardines, as if eating sardines should be worn as a badge of dishonor,” Steve Blackett.
“There are those who are going to come around, whether it be on social media or at your doors, and they are going to criticize everything that we have done and say we have done nothing. I ask you simply to ask them; what would they do if they were in our position under the circumstances? They would not give you an answer. Take that moment of silence from their end and use it to remind them of all things we have done as a Government in the last eight years.” Donville Inniss
“Let me make it clear; Owen Arthur will not advise me on economic and financial matters and leave it there for now,” Dr David Estwick.
“The logic eludes me, but having said that I don’t fully understand Owen Arthur as a politician and I can’t competently predict his moves because I really don’t know,” Peter Wickham.
“I do not have to have my hands on the wheels to be influential or powerful. I have a voice and I can make my voice heard and the notion I have is to always be in the trenches . . . and I will make those judgements in due course.” Owen Arthur.
“I left them psychologically, because they never would have done that to [founding father] Grantley Adams nor to Bernard St John, nor to Henry Forde nor to Tom Adams. But Mia Mottley sat in a chair and heard people read out charges against me to expel me from the party. And what about? Because I would not fall in line behind Mia Mottley,” Owen Arthur.
“They had to understand the socialising was not suitable for the youth and they were not raised in that environment. It is good to see that the ministry understood and realised that they made a mistake and rectified it. In the end we all greeted each other and hugged. There was no bias now. People can make mistakes,” Ijui Jah after acting Justice Cecil McCarthy tossed out the Child Care Board’s application seeking custody of two Rastafarian children.
“People just want to listen and put people in a box. Our current Prime Minister dares to be different from previous Prime Ministers, so he is seen as weak. However, he is different because God has made all originals, so he does not have to follow what others did before,” Former Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Donville Johnson said.
“The Central Bank of Barbados is an institution. I don’t think because one person goes it will collapse. One person cannot be the institution. The institution is the institution,” Solicitor General Jennifer Edwards, QC.
“I am going to ask questions until I get answers. I don’t stop asking questions, but you see, there is a feeling in Barbados by some in authority that the Barbadian consumer must put up and shut up. I don’t agree with that,” Consumer rights advocate Malcolm Gibbs-Taitt querying why Barbadians are still paying a high price for petroleum products, even though the international price of crude has fallen.
“We don’t believe that Government does not have enough money to pay public servants. We just believe that Government is mismanaging the money that it has,” Akanni McDowall.
“OSA [Owen Seymour Arthur] did not manage to get rid of MAM [Mia Amor Mottley] by abusing her publicly; he did not accomplish it by not going to Parliament; he did not accomplish it by being silent on important national issues; he did not accomplish it by threatening to leave and then actually leaving the BLP. “So when in recent weeks, almost coinciding with talk of the new party, he was again engaging in serious national discourse in a way that we know he is fully capable of doing . . . finally, he has revealed his latest hand, or should I say, his instrument. If this is the new game, then the UPP is the United Puppets Party . . . or the United Political Puppets.” Elizabeth Thompson
“If you have a detractor in the shape of an Owen Arthur for example, I think that would be something that could create some political sensation. But if you have a BLP detractor who as a BLP candidate has never won an election, then what exactly are you projecting? She [Eastmond] ran in the last three elections and lost . . . so she is a detractor but not a successful detractor.” Peter Wickham speaking about Lynette Eastmond and the launch of her United Progressive Party.
“The only comment I would make at this time is this: If after three election defeats – 2003, 2008 and 2013 this is how she wants to spend her time, I wish her well in her endeavours,” Dr. David Estwick in reference to Lynette Eastmond launching the United Progressive Party.
“Unless they expelled me, I am still a member of the Barbados Labour Party,” Lynette Eastmond told reporters when asked if she had left the Barbados Labour Party to join a third party.
“You cannot devalue anything that has no value,” Jepter Ince speaking about the Barbadian dollar.
“Lord man! You can now better begin to understand why this country is in such great peril; that somebody at the centre of Government can be so profoundly ignorant about financial affairs, but be in the Ministry of Finance.” Owen Arthur in response to Jepter Ince.
