That time Catwoman became a Captain Marvel rogue.

Catwoman canonically steals out of Gotham, and has done multiple sabbaticals (heist world tour) on multiple occasions. So picture this:

Billy meeting Selina during a heist

Billy: is there to get a magical artifact that’s wayyy too dangerous to be left in a museum because obviously an evil magician is going to steal it for world domination. He goes as Billy because Cap can’t be seen doing crime.

Catwoman: a cat themed necklace of super importance or whatever. It doesn’t matter, it’s old, pretty and cat related so she has to take it.

They are not in Gotham.

Billy has no idea who Catwoman is, just that she has a magical aura around her (it’s because she steals a lot of magical items on accident).

Billy thinks Selina is an evil wizard hoarding cat themed powerful artictifactd and is apparently a known criminal(?). He should talk to Batman, he knows stuff about people, surely that won’t backfire (… right?)

Selina thinks Billy is an up and coming burglar (and she’s kinda right in that regard).

Selina wonders if she should get this kid as an apprentice (maybe son depending wether or not he’s an orphan)

Bonus:

Batman is conflicted. On one hand, he’s loosing his favourite rogue. On the other hand, his maybe love interest is getting along with his maybe kid.

Batman plots on how to lure them both to Gotham.

His kids behind him are concerned. Alfred is just done.

Bonus 2:

Tawky Tawny joins in on one of Billy’s heists in his tiger form (mostly because they are in a dangerous place and wants to protect him in his small form).

Selina sees this.

Selina is so going to adopt that kid, even if it’s the last thing she does. Maybe she should ask Batman for tips. That won’t backfire (… right?)

steve and billy getting close after starcourt and not understanding that they’re basically a couple. while billy’s been aware of his feelings about steve since his first day here, steve doesn’t realize his feelings aren’t platonic. the way he gets in billy’s space at any given chance, sitting next to him and scooting closer until there’s no distance from their shoulders down. he holds billy’s hand, hugs and lays with him on his bad days. when steve’s having a bad day, he manhandles and bullies billy into straddling his lap, feeling more grounded. he’s clenching his jaw and frowning deeply as he presses his face into billy’s neck and chest, arms locked tight around him so he can’t move— not that he would ever want to.

but they’re not a couple. they’re just friends who help each other out because they’re the only two who understand. he tells himself that a lot, ignoring the fact that he’s not going to robin, nancy, or jonathan for anything of the sort. they’re just friends who can’t sleep without spooning and sharing a bed every night. they’re just friends even though billy steals gentle touches when he thinks steve is sleeping, running his hands over steve’s arms, chest, shoulders, appreciating being held so strong and tight. they’re just friends when steve finally stops pretending to be asleep and leans into billy’s touch. billy looks scared like he’s been caught doing something wrong, trying to think of what to say. they’re just friends when steve’s pretty sure he cuts off an attempt at an apology, leaning in and planting one on him. then he’s mumbling his own apology against billy’s lips for taking too long to do that, but billy’s cutting him off right back, wasting no time and moaning so soft and sweet into steve’s mouth.

Invocation to the wrong deity

Diana needed help, but it was a burden that fell on her, since the danger was on Themyscira. She wasn't going to bother her companions with a personal problem so she didn't inform the League.

Or at least, she didn't think to ask for help until she realized that she required an experienced mage to perform a summoning. She could ask Zatana for help but she was on a journey, and Constantine was not an option. With a sigh she decided to contact Captain Marvel.

Her partner agreed to help her immediately, and with much reluctance on her mother's part (no one was happy with the Captain's participation but they accepted it) they managed to perform the summoning. Just in time, because one of the "evils" from Pandora's box had landed on their land.

Unfortunately, instead of summoning their old guide "Pandora", someone else appeared. A teenager in a star-spangled cloak looking around excitedly. Of course, no one was happy with such a development.

Except the summoned one, Danny was happy to leave his meeting with the Observants, the excuse of the summoning was always convenient.

Imagine if Billy didn’t know Shazam died?

(This is actually apart of my AU lol)

But what if Billy didn’t know Shazam, the Wizard, was actually dead? Like maybe he did see Shazam get crushed by rocks but he just thinks a Wizard could survive that, Or he doesn’t remember meeting Shazam for whatever reason. (Like he knows it happened because his pantheon told him so, and he remembers like a tiny bit of being at the RoE, but maybe he doesn’t remember Shazam dying)

This would be kinda funny to think about, especially if the pantheon’s trying desperately not to let Billy know Shazam died. But they occasionally slip up, and each time they do Billy gets slightly more suspicious. Also, in my AU since Billy and Marvel and separate entities, I think it would be funny aswell if Marvel didn’t know either. (—which I do have an AU explanation to make it work, but I fear I may be getting too off track already.)

Imagine if literally every other magic being knows Shazam’s dead, but Captain’s just none the wiser and tries to talk to them about the Wizard.

Billy (as Cap): Oh, by this Wizard, his name’s, uh…

grabs a piece of paper and scribbles the name down

Zatanna: Shazam?

Billy: Yup! Gave me my powers, have you heard of him? I think he’s very well known. I haven’t seen him in a while. Hope he’s still doing alright.

Zatanna (Going pale at the mention of a very much dead Wizard being referred to in present tense): Mhm….yeah…

(the league in the cafeteria, listening to one of the rare times they got Captain to talk about themself. —Billy’s just procrastinating going outside in the midwestern November cold.)

Billy: So I got my powers from this Wizard, his names…um. I think I told Zatanna? Captain looks over at her.

Zatanna (going pale): Really. I don’t remember.

Billy: Oh, okay, that’s fine! Here.

Grabs a piece of paper and scribbles down the name.

Superman: Shazam?

Every magic user in the cafeteria freezes.

Billy: Yeah! He’s the wizard who gave me my powers. I haven’t seen him since I became Captain Marvel, though. I should really go talk to him, maybe I’ll do that later.

Hercules: How about we don’t…

Solomon: That wouldn’t be a good choice, Billy.

Zeus: I agree, you’d be just of a fool as Atlas to go.

Atlas (offended): Wow.

Thinking ‘bout my Jewish Billy headcanon and that Spider-Man comic post about how when he saves people and they ask his name to name their kid after him he says his Uncle Ben’s name, and just thinking in the canons like PoS where he knew and loved his dad he gives his dads name to the people who ask. So there’s an influx of kids in Fawcett named Charlie after the late great Clarence Charles Batson who helped raise a pretty sweet kid who spends the better parts of his days saving peoples lives

My Take On Evil Captain Marvel / Shazam / Shazamily

In an AU where all the heroes are villains, and all the villains are heroes, I like to think Captain Marvel is like the Poison Ivy but for the Magical Community.

So we all know Captain Marvel is the Champion of Magic, and as such he has duties, be it a hero or a villain. Now picture this:

Homeless Billy Batson, fresh out of being struck by a Magic Lighting, gets taken in by the magical community (be it the fae, a witches coven, magical creatures, or smt). He develops a love for the mystic realm and is thus more active as Champion. They have shown more love and kindness than any human ever has, and eventually sees himself as a magical being / well of magic more than he sees himself as human.

But then, tragedy, and he sees people hunting down members of his beloved community for the sole reason that they have magic. They see creatures under HIS domaine being captured and sold in the black market. He sees butchered remains and fur of his friends being hung as trophies.

So seeing as that there are NO magical protection laws, and knows deep down that Adults Cannot Be Trusted (if his time on the streets taught him anything, it’s that), he takes matters into his own hands.

He hunts the hunters for fun. He rips apart ANYONE who DARES hurt those under his protection. He destroys countries who normalises the destruction of the mystic. He sends plagues and lighting. Those so called ‘Heroes’ who try to stop him aren’t any better, for they stop him from doing his Duty as The Champion.

He gets noticed by a group of individuals who wish to recruit him (evil JL). He joins, not because he actually cares about their goals, but they promised to leave anything magic alone, and even help him take down his adversaries. Morality is something he has long given up on.

The Gods don’t care either. From their point of view, humanity has long forsaken them, and makes a point to destroy what they have created. Hecate is especially supportive, she created most of the magical creatures, of course she has a fondness for them.

Mary, Freddy, Tawny (who in this au might be a creature that Captain saved) and the rest of the Shazamily join in, as they too much prefer magic over humans. Maybe in this au, they were put into more abusive environments.

Fawcette becomes the center of the magical world, and is known as the most protected place if you are of the mystic.

It’s a shame that cursed Black Adam did not join them, his time trapped made him soft, and developed a fondness for people (it’s what his son would have wanted). And really, he ought to get over Kahndaq. Sure, they destroyed the country, but they had it coming! They were trapping a bunch of Gods!

Anyways, this is just me rambling. I might make a part 2 if the inspiration comes to me.
