Imagine if Billy didn’t know Shazam died?

(This is actually apart of my AU lol)

But what if Billy didn’t know Shazam, the Wizard, was actually dead? Like maybe he did see Shazam get crushed by rocks but he just thinks a Wizard could survive that, Or he doesn’t remember meeting Shazam for whatever reason. (Like he knows it happened because his pantheon told him so, and he remembers like a tiny bit of being at the RoE, but maybe he doesn’t remember Shazam dying)

This would be kinda funny to think about, especially if the pantheon’s trying desperately not to let Billy know Shazam died. But they occasionally slip up, and each time they do Billy gets slightly more suspicious. Also, in my AU since Billy and Marvel and separate entities, I think it would be funny aswell if Marvel didn’t know either. (—which I do have an AU explanation to make it work, but I fear I may be getting too off track already.)

Zatanna (Going pale at the mention of a very much dead Wizard being referred to in present tense): Mhm….yeah…

(the league in the cafeteria, listening to one of the rare times they got Captain to talk about themself. —Billy’s just procrastinating going outside in the midwestern November cold.)

Billy: So I got my powers from this Wizard, his names…um. I think I told Zatanna? Captain looks over at her.

Zatanna (going pale): Really. I don’t remember.

Billy: Oh, okay, that’s fine! Here.

Grabs a piece of paper and scribbles down the name.

Superman: Shazam?

Every magic user in the cafeteria freezes.

Billy: Yeah! He’s the wizard who gave me my powers. I haven’t seen him since I became Captain Marvel, though. I should really go talk to him, maybe I’ll do that later.

Zeus: I agree, you’d be just of a fool as Atlas to go.

🐉(Malleus being happy they are no longer human and then being both interested in the gothic actatic and lilia getting a coufin because he asked one imagine her asking Malleus if she can make one for him only for sebek to yell at her)

Riddle Rosehearts

He was definitely weirded out by you. You always wore traditional mourning clothing (and Crowley couldn’t say anything against it lest it get out to the press that NRC isn’t allowing its students to mourn properly), but you always had a bright smile on your face.

What really got him worried was when you asked if you could measure him for a nice and beautiful coffin. He politely refused, but he got to thinking: maybe he should order one for Ace because he seems to have a death wish.

He does enjoy your company, especially since you seem to know your way around tea and the different kinds of tea leaves. You also respect the Queen’s rules because you used to follow a Queen. You were, in all honesty, his favorite person aside from Trey.

When you told him that you were a grim reaper, he was definitely concerned. You even brought out your scythe and held it to Ace’s neck, threatening to turn him into a doll if he didn’t stop his big mouth. Riddle had to use his unique magic to hold you back, but it was then that he learned you weren’t human and you weren’t powerless.

Leona Kingscholar

He honestly didn’t care about you until after his overblot. He woke up to you taking his measurements, and you explained that if he hadn’t woken up then you would have made a coffin for him. That was one hell of an introduction.

However, after moving past that little moment, you both actually became quite close. Ramshackle became a place of dead silence (get it?), which was where Leona often went to get some rest after a chaotic day of being the Savanaclaw Housewarden. You’ve even designed a coffin-shaped bed for him so that he would be more comfortable.

One memory that Leona remembers is the time when Cheka came to visit, and you suggested a game of hide-and-seek, where the two of you hide and the older lion has to come find you both. Well, this put him in a state of panic because he couldn’t find either of you until he opened an older coffin to find the two of you asleep.

When you told him you were a retired grim reaper, he thought you fit the stereotype quite well aside from your absolutely beautiful face. You wore what he assumed to be mourning clothes and mourning lockets, along with a top hat which went with the typical image of a grim reaper. You even had a scythe to complete it, so he thought it was hilarious.

Azul Ashengrotto

He was intrigued because he heard that you held information, and exchanged it for a few simple jokes that made you laugh. Azul wasn’t warned by your mourning clothes as it might be normal for someone that came from your world, so he asked about a few people he wished to put under a contract. Unfortunately, he couldn’t make you laugh.

That was when the two of you became rivals. He sent the twins to go see if Ramshackle would be a suitable place to branch out the Mostro Lounge, only to hear it became a full funeral parlor (which wasn’t exactly good for the clientele he was trying to attract [read: alive]). After Azul made it clear that he wanted your dorm, you sent back a response asking for his measurements so that you could design a coffin for him after he died from heartbreak from not getting what he wanted.

It wasn’t until after his overblot that he realized how powerful you were. You weren’t human, but not in the way that he wasn’t either. No, you didn’t even have a beating heart, and you couldn’t accumulate overblot. The smile on your face had a different meaning than finding joy in the midst of death.

In the infirmary, you told him that you were a former grim reaper who started up a funeral parlor so that you could try to revive the dead. You came here in hopes that this world’s magic could work, but Azul told you that nothing could bring them back to life… Not even a contract could do that.

Kalim Al-Asim

You both were genuinely happy people, you were just a tad more eccentric than he was. He considered parties fun, while you considered building coffins and caskets to be the most entertaining thing a person can do. He’s very supportive of your hobby though, especially if it offers families the closure of having a proper funeral for a lower price.

There was one time where you were invited over to Scarabia, and your first question was to ask if you could measure Kalim for a coffin. He was about to accept before Jamil turned you down, much to your amusement. However, once Kalim went over to Ramshackle, he did get to experience laying in a coffin and he had to say that it was a unique experience.

When Jamil overblotted, Kalim was able to witness the pure strength you had. You honestly egged the overblot victim on, and it seemed as though you didn’t care if he got tired out or if he died since either way it would benefit you. Your scythe was something to behold as well.

His view of you didn’t change though. You were still his girlfriend who had a morbid fascination with death. It made sense though, considering you couldn’t exactly die if you were a God of Death (AKA shinigami). All in all, he found you very fun and unique.

Vil Schoenheit

Like a few of the others, he was weirded out by you. You described his beauty as ‘one who was one breath away from death’ because of a scary-themed makeup look he did a little while ago. For the Halloween event, you designed coffins that Pomefiore could emerge out of.

He doesn’t mind your weird obsession of the macabre and of death itself. A lot of directors casted him in horror movies, so he gets the hype behind it. He has even recycled the coffin that you made for him for a bunch of photoshoots while also giving you credit. That, in turn, got you a lot of DM’s on Magicam for commissions, which then boosted profits of your funeral parlor.

Vil got to see a glimpse of you being a grim reaper when you sensed that Rook was in a nearby tree. You used the handle of your scythe to hit the tree hard, knocking the Vice Housewarden off of the branch he was perched on. The movie star was certainly impressed.

You bluntly told him one day as he was admiring your scythe. You held nothing back as you told him you were a Shinigami and retired Grim Reaper and that you were absolutely fascinated with the concept of death. You also told him how your dream was to bring someone back from the dead just as they were before they passed. It was a weird but admirable dream, so Vil supported it.

Idia Shroud

You reminded him of the character from the anime My Parents Were Killed In A Fire, So I Hired a Demon As My Butler to Help Me Get Revenge. He reminded you of the Greek god of the Underworld, who often partnered with Death. So you both got along quite well.

Your relationship started off weird, since you asked for his measurements to build a coffin. But the more that he thought about it, coffins were pretty comfortable. So he asked if you would consider making one for him to use in place of a bed, hopefully to promote himself to sleep in a bed made by his girlfriend. It totally wasn’t so you would be comfortable sleeping in his room, cuddled close to him… totally not!

He kind of guessed that you were a grim reaper because of how you dressed, and also the fact that you reminded him of the Funeral Director from the aforementioned anime. So, it was no surprise to him when he was virtually at the Housewarden’s meeting to see you threaten Crowley with a scythe.

Honestly, the old crow deserved a good scare, since you were more powerful than even the most powerful of mages. You were the space between life and death, which gave you a place of authority over everyone. It was amazing to see the Headmage shaking in his boots, and Idia made a mental note to never get on your bad side.

Malleus Draconia

It was one night that he walked by Ramshackle only to see it transformed into a nice-looking funeral parlor. Honestly, he wasn’t that surprised because the building was filled with ghosts and probably the bodies of said ghosts. What he didn’t expect was seeing you working on a coffin outside.

That was how you both met. He walked up to you and asked what you were doing when you saw Malleus’s tall stature. You knew the entire population of Twisted Wonderland due to your time as a reaper, so you were aware that Malleus was of royal blood and lineage. That drove you to ask to take his measurements so that you could design a coffin befitting royalty. The young fae was amused and accepted, as long as you would agree to going on walks with him every night.

It was during one of these nightly walks that you revealed what you truly were. You set your top hat down upon a nearby grassy knoll and brushed your bangs out of your face which revealed your phosphorescent eyes as well as the scar that ran across your face. Malleus thought you were the most beautiful person he has ever seen. It was then that he gently held your face in his hands, pulled you closer, and placed a gentle but passionate kiss upon your lips.

He discovered your ability to wield a scythe when Sebek was scolding you for being a bad influence on the Crowned Prince of Briar Valley, and you had had enough. You pulled out your scythe almost out of nowhere and held it to the knight’s neck with a menacing smile, daring him to continue talking if he wanted to end up in one of your cheapest coffins. This little situation was very amusing to Malleus, since he knew you wouldn’t do anything to hurt his knights.

  It's been what, about a year? I still have these bone chilling dreams about the boys. One minute we'll  be close watching a movie like Friday the 13th, Pieces, Maniac, or even Sleepaway Camp. The next I'll hear the phone ring. Quickly I'll say, "I'll get it," and move myself off the couch leaving a space between the boys. The person on the line will say, "Hello (y/n), it's been a while," instantly I could recognize it as Ghostface. Looking back at the couch the boys would be gone, no trace of them ever there. "Who is this?" I'll ask, even though I know the answer all too well. I'd hear a laugh on the other line before being yanked back into someone's arms. Looking at who it is I'll be filled with dread just seeing the masked killer as they raise the knife over their head. Suddenly I'm being pulled away by a blood covered Billy saying, "We have to get help!" When I look back for the murderer we stop at a door...

   Looking forward I'll see ghostface yet again but this time he's taking off the mask to reveal himself as Billy looking in my direction with that crazed Kubrick Stare. "We all go a little mad sometimes," he says before raising a gun that barely misses me. That's when I realize it's not me he's aiming for. The person he does shoot changes every time, for instance, it could be; Sidney, Tatum, Casey, Steve, or even Principal Himbry... but they say the same thing each time, "Save me (y/n)," before they bleed out on the floor. Next thing I knew both Billy and Stu come charging at me, tossing me to the ground. They'll hold me down as they run the Buck 120 all along my body. They shout nonsensical things in my face. And when one of them raises the knife above their head and plunge it into my body, everything just goes white.

"Hey, earth to (y/n)?" I hear Randy call me from the counter.

"Hm? What's up?" I asked, snapping my head in his direction leaving my thoughts behind.

"You've been staring at the shelf for almost fifteen minutes," He complains

"Guess there's just too good of a selection?" I said with a false smile and a shrug.

"Yeah sure, just up and pick a movie already," Randy said, rolling his eyes.

"Jeez did anyone ever tell you that patience is a virtue?" I laughed out as I snatch up a copy of Amityville Horror.

"Still staying away from slasher?" Randy asks, a sympathetic look in his eyes.

"Yeah, they just remind me too much of that night..." I said, look down and scratching my arm.

"Anyways...What are you and your dad gonna do tonight?" He asked, trying to change the subject.

"Hmm? Oh Neil just wanted to stay in and watch some movies, maybe order some pizza?"

"He adopted you over half a year ago, start calling him Dad for once!" Randy said, cackling at his own words.

"Yeah yeah whatever, see ya later!" I shouted as I left the store.

So much has happened since October of last year. The day after 'That Night' Neil told me he didn't want me or my mom to ever be scared again...so he married my mom and adopted me. None of us see it as replacing Sid, my father, or even Sid's mom, if anything we see it as a better way to remember them and keep them close to our hearts. The town held a mass memorial for all of the victims. The individual funerals were hell. I just wanted to say goodbye to my friends but there were reporters and news vans at every turn.

   It's never been the same after I, not only lost Tatum and Sindey but also... Stu and Billy. I get it, I shouldn't have anywhere near a soft spot for those two but I do. I don't excuse anything they did because it tore apart almost everything that made me happy in the world. That doesn't mean I don't see why they did it. Billy was hurt and driven mentally insane once his mother abandoned him due to the affair. And Stu, oh god I can't imagine what Billy did to force him to participate in the killing spree with him. Does that excuse their actions? No. Do I still miss the boys they used to be? Absolutely yes.

  I like to think that had they not run away on 'That Night' they would've been sentenced but also would've been able to get the psychiatric help they really needed.

"Neil, I'm home!" I shouted as I opened the door. No response.

Mom was out on a business trip so I already knew she wouldn't be home.

"Neil?" I called out again, suspicion rising in my voice. No response again.

"Are you here?" I asked, looking around the living room, the kitchen, upstairs in his room, Sid's room, my room, every room in the house.

"Neil?!" I called out again this time with frantic breathing and hot tears itching at my skin.

"Oh woah, woah, kiddo it's okay!" Neil came from around the corner running to me.

"I thought- I thought you were gone! That they took you! Where were you?!" I asked, clinging to his sleeves and he pulled me into a hug.

"Shh shh, I was in the garage working on the car Kiddo," He said as he rocked me back and forth.

"I already lost Sid and Tatum... I don't want to lose you too, Dad," I said as I thought back to how I found Sid and Tatum at Stu's house.

"Hey, it's okay, I'm okay, we're okay," He softly said, trying to calm me down.

"Ya know what, you got a letter on the counter, looks like it might be from a family member, go take a look," Neil said as he ruffled my hair.

  Going downstairs I look on the kitchen counter, sure enough there's an envelope with neat and somewhat familiar handwriting. Huh no return address, I thought to myself. I'm careful not to rip the paper as I open the envelope. As I looked inside I saw a few polaroids and a folded paper inside. Taking the polaroids out ran my blood cold. One of them was a picture Mrs. Riley took of Sid, Tatum, and I from our final sleepover. The next was of our group at the fountain, all of us, but Sid and Tatum's faces were crossed out and small Ghostface stickers were placed over Billy and Stu's. The last two were pictures of me, Stu, and Billy on Stu's couch at one of our movie nights. Placing the pictures down I look at the paper... on the folded front said; To: (y/n), from: Yours Truly. The letter itself said;

Dear (y/n),

  It's been a while. We've really missed you. How's your mom, oh and Neil? We just wanted to check in and let you know we're doing fine after you killed us. Or well, almost killed us. You're wondering how we're still alive, Right?

  Well for starters, that knife? It was a retractable prop, a bit of a let down since you didn't actually get to stab Stu, right? Then that gun, we switched out Dwight's bullets for blanks while you ran to his car. Really explains how Randy lived. You most likely knew that already. Also when you kick someone against a coffee table, you should really check their pulse next time.

  We hope you haven't gotten too comfortable thinking we're gone for good because trust us baby, we're not.

At least the rest of Three already knew what he was like at funerals at this point. Some dumbass asked if he wanted to give a eulogy, and he’d walked out of the room without a response. He didn’t want to sleep in the house he’d gotten with his own victory, and he couldn’t stand the idea of sleeping in the house that was no longer Perl’s. So he’d slept most nights since the Games ended in the strip of grass that separated the two homes. Belle never once asked him if he was fucked up, and for that, he was more grateful than he could ever put into words

He dreamed of Perl the night before her funeral. It was disjointed and strange, but it was definitely Perl he was talking to. Nothing of the conversation could be remembered the next morning, but he lied in the dewy grass, shivering for some time. At some point someone gripped the sleeves of his shirt and forced him up, dragged him by the arm into his house. Still fully clothed, they’d thrown him into a steaming hot shower. It wasn’t Belle or Electra or Clover, it was a face he’d barely seen recently. One of the older victors from Three, long ago readily displaced by the younger mentors who came along.

She’d once helped him make a rocket when he was ten, and he couldn’t remember talking to her since. How misplaced he was in this Village of strong women.

His hair was still wet when he got to Perl’s funeral ceremony, but he was there, staring at the closed casket the entire time. A couple people spoke, but he had no idea what they said. Dozens spoke directly to him, and he could barely manage a nod. Was it the sleeping on the ground or the grief that caused him to feel so stiff? 

At some point, someone took his elbow and brought him to a car. He sat down and remained motionless again until they were at the burial site. Edison, Dayta, and now Perl Foster, all in a row. The first thought that made him crack the slightest smile all day was the thought he should reserve a seat for himself now. It was coming soon, anyway. He wasn’t going to sleep that night without a fucking drink first, and once he went down that road, he had no fucking intention of coming back.

The only hope he had, as he looked around the cemetery, was that Ravenite might show some mercy, some semblance of kindness, and bring Evie there. But there was no flashy Capitol car to signify his presence, no presence of the one face Chip could look at that day and feel some warmth in his heart. He thought he’d been still the whole day, but now he wasn’t sure if he’d ever stopped shaking since the morning. 

And then everyone was gone. He’d been staring at the gravestones the whole time - the whole service, the whole time the casket was lower, the whole time the dirt was piled on top and patted down into a smooth mound. The sun was setting and the only way back to his house was on foot, but that seemed so far away. And it wasn’t his home. The three people who’d raised him, who’d given him a home, were buried six feet beneath him. There was no home to go back to. So he knelt down perpendicular to the graves, then sat down, then lied down and stared at the sky.

“Th-third time’s th-the ch-charm,” he said. He was hoarse. He’d been crying a lot. It probably contributed to the dehydration headache pounding on his skull. “T-two Foster victors, th-th-then th-the th-third time...” What bullshit. It was all bullshit. None of it fucking mattered, and it wasn’t like Perl could actually hear him. It wasn’t like his parents could hear him. But fuck it, so what? People talked to their pets who couldn’t talk back all the time. “Hi M-Mom. I-I-I m-miss you. Hi Dad. I st-still beat you at ch-chess th-that one time. Hi Perl. I-I...” What could he say to her? What was appropriate? Nothing would suffice, nothing would be accurate, but he owed her something. There was something he owed her that was long overdue. “I-I’m s-sorry-rry.”

He could’ve gone on, but he soon fell asleep in the grass. It didn’t matter they weren’t there to hear him; all that mattered was that they were there.

Hu Tao

You both are a match made in either Heaven or Hell, depending on who you ask. There are death jokes thrown around constantly to really brighten up the grim parlor. She adopts your jokes-for-information trade-off, and it really is great for the both of you.

She gets serious whenever she is handling funerals and a client’s wishes, but you tend to remain more positive and still very cheerful. As you were working on one of the bodies, you made a comment on how you would try to bring them back to life, but always failed because you couldn’t harness a soul into the body.

This definitely made her stop as she turned to you with a surprised look. You had to go through the whole process of telling her that you were a retired Grim Reaper and that back in your world, Cinematic Records would be shown to a Reaper who was reaping a soul. Hu Tao continued to ask questions as she got back to work and you began taking measurements and preparing the coffin.

Speaking of coffins, you both like to play hide and seek during your free time. There isn’t a lot of space in the parlor for it, so you choose to give each other three guesses in choosing the coffins the other thinks you’re in when it’s your turn to seek. There was one time where she accidentally opened a coffin with a dead person inside, and she let out an oops before continuing the game.

Y’all don’t have a normal bed, and only your employees would know. You designed a big coffin bed for the two of you, and you both are very happy with the result. It’s comfortable, and you both can cuddle with ease. Half the time, you aren’t even sleeping. It’s you telling stories about your clients and “dolls”.

Even though she’s really adamant about respecting the wishes of her clients, she’s curious as to how you made the bodies reanimated. You could see her inner turmoil, and you pulled a Dr. Facilier and said that there were a few unclaimed bodies that she could test. You convinced her, and she made her first “doll”, and she could see the problem with it.

By the way, you both definitely keep mourning lockets with each other. If you are to go out in public and show someone, they would think either you or her were dead. Her locket has a lock of your hair and an image of you, while yours has her hair and image.

WOW WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN GHJGHJFJJGBJG im joking im jokin but seriously where do i even BEGINthe thing that upsets arcetri most about theon is the way he treated alistair is pretty much how he expresses his opinions. which sounds weird enough that THAT is the thing that finally sets off arcetri but lemme get into more detail why: 

arcetri is an incredibly passionate and generous person to the point where it’s like almost over the top excessive. theon has empathy and cares about things obviously but he expresses his concerns in harsh remarks or side comments that sound vague but can get the point across. 

it makes her incredibly upset because to her it seems that there are bits of empathy in his voice but she just wants to like grab his shoulders (and like be on her tippy toes) and be like “IF YOU ACTUALLY CARE THEN WHY DONT YOU ACT LIKE IT” because to arcetri it seems like theon’s trying to avoid the subject but “him and his nosey attitude cant stop himself from commenting on everything in my life” and not to mention the way he delivers said opinion in such a demeaning manner really upsets her more because it feels more like an insult than an opinion. 

not to mention theon’s titty armor. she really hates that. so do i. i really hate that.

i mean sparring and throwing bitter side comments at each other but like a really fight where she attempts to punch him in his gross zombie face?

no. 

i mean even if she was like totally and utterly drunk she still wouldn’t attempt to cause actual genuine harm to theon. sparring? yes. actual fighting with pretty much no limits? no. even if she causes unintentional harm to theon in a sparring match she’ll still try to own up to it and will prob feel bad about it because that wasnt her intention. even if she despises him and loves to annoy him as best as possible she doesnt want to actually cause harm to him. she just thinks that it would be a waste of both of their time and it would accomplish nothing and there is no real reason to it despite how much they both dislike each other. arcetri doesnt dislike him to an extent where i could throw around the word ‘hate’. she thinks that fighting theon would be useless and also she would actually feel bad because theon didnt really do anything that bad to her that would pretty much want to make her fight him. because to arcetri if you’re willing to fight someone then you’re pretty much willing to kill them and arcetri doesn’t want to kill theon. 

but sparring and knocking him on his ass and then proceeding to laugh about it? oh, absolutely.

arcetri wouldnt know what to say, to be honest. she never really considered him a friend but he was still unfortunately  family. it would be brief, something along the lines of

she would feel bad if he died. even though he was a bit of a lil shit she would pretty much look at him in a more positive light.

his recklessness, of course. arcetri has always been more of a paranoid and cautious kind of person and theon is well. theon. she would think that after all of this time he would’ve learned to gain more self control and not be as reckless but to her it seems like he’s only gotten more reckless and uncaring about the consequences of his actions. that worries arcetri because god knows what else is going to happen to him at this rate and she knows that he’s just too stubborn that no one can really change his opinion on that.
