Oregon [usa] has been shutting down small farms and market gardens in a pretty aggressive manner. They're even resorting to sending out cease and desist letters to these farms, using satellite tech to track them down first. Their justification? Water conservation and protecting groundwater. They're wielding two laws in particular to make this happen.

Eddie McGee

Well known to 911 (fox) fans as Frank the therapist to the LAFD. In fact he only appears in a few episodes so far (and a squillion fanfics!) - a therapy montage with Hen, Eddie & Maddie in episode 3x09:

He also appeared in episode 3x10 with Maddie Buckley, and in 5x13 [videoclip] and 5x14 [videoclip] with Eddie Diaz.

He has been an actor in many roles, since 2001, including The Human Race (2013). Some reference the fact that he is an amputee (he lost his left leg to cancer) - and some do not. You may know his voice from the horror stories on youtube channel 'Don't turn around'.

He was very well known in 2000 as the winner of the first USA series of Big Brother, winning a half million dollars. He was 'known in the game for being blunt and outspoken'. [season highlights video]

Not to be confused with fellow New Yorker, Jack McGee, who played Red in episode 3x16, and with whom he stars in the upcoming 'Road to Terzetto'.

The European Commission has announced a pact with the US to allow easier legal transfer of personal data across the Atlantic.

Data privacy activists vowed to challenge the agreement in court.
