3 𝒢𝓁𝑜𝓌 𝓊𝓅 𝒯𝒾𝓅𝓈
𝟏. Hygiene: This key for any glow-up, and it doesn't have to be super extra, just the basics to stay fresh. You should be showering at least once a day, preferably at night (and if you work out in the morning, definitely shower after that). When you're in the shower, PLEASE don’t just use your hands, grab a loofah, sponge, or washcloth, anything! But hands alone? A big no. Shaving is optional, but do it as often as you need. Some girls can get away with a couple times a week, others might need to every day, it’s totally personal. Lastly, exfoliation is your everything. You only need to do it 2-3 times a week, but girl, it’ll give you that smooth skin by scrubbing away all the dead skin cells. Trust, your skin will be glowing!
𝟐. Hair: Keeping up with hair care can be such a struggle sometimes, especially depending on your hair type, but trust me, it’s 100% worth it. I’ve been through a whole hair journey myself, so I get it! There’s a ton I could say, but here’s the tea-- first, you need to know your exact hair type. This will help you figure out how often to wash it and which products will make your hair thrive. It’s all part of getting that soft, long hair faster. Oh, and don’t forget—there are certain hairstyles and cuts that are perfect for your face shape, so do a little research to find what suits you best. You’re already gorgeous, but the right cut will take it to another level!
𝟑. SkinCare: If you're ready for that glow-up, it’s time to get serious about your skincare! Start with a bomb cleanser, something that matches your skin type (oily, dry, combo, girl... you know the drill). Exfoliate 2-3 times a week to get rid of those dead skin cells, and trust me, your skin will feel brand new. Hydration is everything, so find a moisturizer that leaves you dewy, not greasy. And don’t even think about skipping sunscreen, UV rays are NOT your bestie. Finish off with a glow serum and watch yourself literally shine. Glow up season is officially ON.
Note: This is my first post which is why I didn't make it too long. if you want me to make a post one a specific thing (or you wanna ask me a question) either dm me or ask in my inbox and ill answer! love ya <3

Skincare - Blue Jones
(I can't keep using gifs on my fics because I end up just staring at them for hours)
mentions of acne, allusions to assault but is not explicit and nothing happens, reader is female. fluff? hurt/comfort? idk the weird softness that Blue exudes while also being an oily bastard?
It felt good to wash away the layers of makeup and grease and other men. As a young girl, before coming to Blue's, you'd struggled with oily skin. Throughout your months at the club, you'd snitched and pilfered sample-size creams from the studio bags.
They were the only personal possessions you had.
You grabbed your secret stash and tiptoed out of the room, dashing into the bathroom and quietly locking the door. You couldn't turn the lights on, but you could flick on a lighter. It was Sweet Pea's; green and shimmery. A cheap thing but it would do.
Spine tingling with anxiety, you turned on the tap just enough to let a trickle of water out, but not enough to make a sound. As soon as the cool water touched your flushed cheeks, you sighed.
It felt fucking great.
Quickly you washed off the first layer, stripped your lashes and scrubbed the glitter and rhinestones from your cheeks. The foundation and eyeshadow was set like plaster, and you squeezed a small dollop of cleanser into your palm.
It was soothing. A calm routine done in the quiet solitude of your dressing room. You never had time alone, even in bed. Seven girls to a room didn't allow for private time.
Curfew had passed quite a while ago. Usually you didn't go out late, but Tiffany took so fucking long taking out her bobby pins that you had no choice.
The pleasant smell of vanilla softened the tension in your shoulders. The anxiety of breaking the rules was fading.
Creak.
The comb in your hands dropped into the sink, making you shriek. Clapping a hand over your mouth, you muffled a sob.
"Don't stop on my account."
The roar of blood in your ears was deafening. Panic flared through every nerve ending, filling your veins with fire and your heart galloping.
You should have waited. You should have been patient and waited till midnight when he went to bed and now you were thoroughly Fucked with a capital F.
A tiny whimper left your lips, face still frozen in terror. A snicker came out of the dark.
Where was he? How had you not noticed a grown man in the bathroom?
Blue was slouched against the wall, shirt unbuttoned and tie hung haphazardly around his neck. He'd clearly been there a while. Why hadn't he said anything?
Your reflection was statuesque. Amused, Blue pushed himself to his feet and rolled his shoulders. The lazy smirk that made oily contempt ooze down your back was shadowed in the flickering light. His beady eyes roved over you, a frown twisting his lips.
"I thought I told you to continue," he said, eyebrow peaked in a challenge.
You fought through waves of fear to slowly pick up the comb and swallow, still making eye contact in the mirror. No gun was in his holster, and he didn't carry knives. Still, he was a man who could hurt you. Best to do what he says.
The soft shff shff of your hair was the only sound over your thudding heart. The tiny vial of oil shook in your grasp as you dabbed it on your scalp.
"What's that?"
His soft but firm voice broke the tense silence again. Words stuck in your throat. This was wrong this was so bad oh my god-
"O-oil," you stammered, voice bare above a whisper. "It helps my hair grow."
Blue made no acknowledgement of your voice, still enraptured with your movements. Assuming the coast was clear, you brought the brush back to your locks and continued the long, methodical strokes.
In an instant, his hand was at your wrist. You eeped and flinched away. The trap had snapped shut over you, and you didn't have any sharp objects in sight. your nightgown was too short and you didn't have a knife and his hands were large and strong and there was nobody to hear you and and and
"Let me do it," he murmured, kohl-lined eyes glittering with something dangerous. You had no choice but to loosen your grip on the brush, hands sweating profusely. He dropped your wrist and you hugged it to your chest, folding in half as a last measure of protection.
"Stop flinching," he huffed, "I'm not gonna hurt you. It'd be fuckin stupid, seeing as I'd lose the money."
The reassurance meant nothing, as you'd seen him kiss a girl on the mouth before cracking his palm across her cheek. It felt like being a lamb lead to slaughter.
He paused, brush held over your scalp. He'd been watching your entire process, but he wasn't sure where to start.
"Start in the middle," you whispered, shakily gesturing to your hair. "Go d-downwards."
Blue tentatively placed his hand over your head and dragged the brush downwards. You held back a twitch when he tugged at a knot. don't move don't move fuck fuck don't move
His pinky ring was cold against your cheek as he held your chin in place. The brush ran through the same spot again and again, making your shiver. Blue paused again, observing you. He ran his hand down the length of your waves, feeling the smoothness.
"That's good," you said, daring to meet his eyes. He tossed you an impatient glance and continued petting.
"I know how to brush your goddamn hair." The familiar biting tone was back, and your ears burned. Blue's brow was set in concentration, slowly making his way around your head. He was, truthfully, pretty good at it. Not that it was hard, but you were relieved he hadn't tried to rip off your scalp.
His other hand kept softly stroking your hair, running the ends through his fingers.
"Soft," he grunted, almost to himself. "Why's it not like this while you're working?"
"The hairspray makes it sticky."
He inclined his chin. The brush had stopped, and both hands were buried in your hair. The oil had softened it considerably, and he was utterly absorbed in the silkiness.
It felt...nice. His hands, usually mid-slap, were gentle and soothing. You'd stopped questioning why he was being kind or why he was even in the room.
Sweet Pea's lighter was running out of fluid. Your eyes were heavy and you needed to go to bed.
"Why...why were you in here?" you asked around a yawn. Sleepiness had removed any reserved fear and loosened your tongue.
"If you need to know," he said airily, "I needed my cock sucked and there were a few girls in here already. Took a while getting up, not like it's your business."
That snapped you back to reality and you lurched away, heartbeat going from zero to sixty. Blue tsked.
"I told you to stop fuckin' moving, I'm not done yet." His hands were traveling over your face and neck. The cleansers had left your cheeks dewy and shining. He spent a notable amount of time tracing the pink pocks around your chin.
"What's this?"
You didn't want to look at him. "Acne," you mumbled. "It's not bad though, you can't see it onstage," you rushed to add, trying to cover up the crime. Any imperfections onstage were unacceptable.
He looked at you shrewdly. "Does it hurt?"
"No."
"Hm." He stroked your cheek, eyes lidded. You noticed he still had his makeup up; the shimmery liner caked on his waterline.
"Blue," you whispered, "do...do you want to take your makeup off?"
He froze and stared at you. Your eyes were wide, timid. Had you overstepped? He was fine a second ago-
"I...I don't know how," he responded stiffly. You swallowed the lump in your throat.
"I can show you."
At your urging, he took a seat on the counter, brow twitching as he tried to get comfortable. You pulled up a rickety chair and stood on it. "I need to wipe off the thick stuff first," you warned, gently taking his chin in your hand.
Blue was like a puppy as soon as your fingertips brushed his skin. You wondered if he'd ever been touched outside of sex. He craved it - shifting towards you until his thighs brushed yours. Blue leaned into your palm, eyes closed and lips slack. You turned his head left and right and he didn't move, almost melting forward spinelessly. As an experiment, you rubbed your thumb over his cheek.
He sighed, eyes glazing over. A flush had covered his cheeks, rosy like a little boy's.
His brown eyes were hazy. Long, dark lashes fanned on his cheek, and for a moment, he looked like a normal man. Skin clear, brow smooth. Not so scary.
You quietly explained the process, rubbing an oil into his pores before massaging a foamy substance around his nose and mouth. He liked that part, mustache twitching at the ticklish sensation.
It was weird to be in control. Here was the product of your nightmares, preening into your touch like a kitten. You drew it out, admiring his soft gaze and slight smile. His skin was soft but stubbly where he needed to shave.
"All done," you whispered, lowering yourself from the chair.
Blue sat, quietly, unaware you'd moved. You watched him amusedly, blinking sleepily at the dark room.
Until his eyes fluttered awake and he frowned. uh oh.
"More," he snapped, grabbing your hand and bringing it to his cheek. Surprised, you tripped, and he dragged you onto his lap. His faint musk mixed with the light florals of your products and you inhaled deeply. He smelled nice.
You resumed stroking his face, bringing another hand up to pet his hair. Pleased, Blue settled again. He was like a cat, you realized fondly. A big, fussy cat.
A warm, calm silence blanketed you both. The lighter had gone out and the room was engulfed in darkness. Blue tensed - was he scared of the dark? - and you hummed into his shoulder. The soft vibration soothed him. His skin was warm and soft. You slowly removed your hands from his hair and murmured reassurances when he huffed in dissent. Your hands found his and pulled the rings off of his fingers.
Blue grunted, retracting from your grip.
'It's okay, I won't take them," you whispered, squeezing his hand gently. After a moment, he relented, and you massaged his empty hands. His palms were calloused and gritty from work. Your smaller ones traced the veins on the back of his hand.
Your cheek was pressed against his sternum, and a weight dropped on your shoulder. His head, you assumed, finally overcome with exhaustion. You were, essentially, trapped, tucked in his lap with your back to the door and his legs folded around you. It was...not the most comfortable, but you prevailed.
Your fingers laced with his and you pressed your nose into his shirt, inhaling deeply. It was nice to be held. Without the expectation of something else, or the assumption that it was all for cash. Just...existing, in a quiet little room where nothing but the beat of your hearts could be heard.
i honestly don't know what this was i just woke up with the Need to write it.

Can you make a how to live like song jia for a day ?
How to live like song jia ౨ৎ ⋆。˚ the perfect routine to boost your self-esteem
This is a guide on daily routines inspired by Song Jia! These routines are perfect for people who want to slowly build unbreakable confidence, like freezia!
content list (routines):
morning
study
workout
shower + self care
night
(_ _ ) . . z Z⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚୨ :★: ୧ ∗ ˖࣪ ໒꒱ ˚₊·
✸ ꒰ morning routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🤍 Jia starts her mornings drinking a cup of water or coffee on an empty stomach, this can help to boost your metabolism and detox your body. I would recommend to drink water rather than coffee, since this could have some negative side effects.
Next step is to say some affirmations in front of the mirror, saying affirmations like 'I look so pretty today' or 'my skin looks so healthy' or simply being kinder to ourselves can ease stress, allow us to face difficulty more courageously, and feel more content and confident!
Now it's time for skincare, Jia emphasizes on having a healthy skincare, for this you will need to create a routine based on your skin type (dry, oily, combination, sensitive, normal or acne prone) and your skin concerns (black heads, bumps, irritation, scars, etc.), please make sure to consult a professional before using anything on your face! Now Jia usually cleanses her face with a foam cleanser and then use toner, a moisturizing ampule, moisturizer and sunscreen! She makes sure to apply the products on her neck too.
After skincare it's time to get dressed, while we wait for the products to absorb! Jia is a really fashionable girl, make sure to have fun with the textures, shapes and color combinations to make the best outfit and boost it using accessories like hats or sunglasses, don't forget to get a matching bag and shoes too!
Time for makeup! Jia's daily makeup consist of BB cream, mascara, eyebrow pencil and lipstick, but if she's shooting something she will add contour, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner and highlighter to the routine!
✸ ꒰ study routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🎀 When Jia goes to her Chinese classes she pays attention and does activities in her book, she also practices writing random things like her name! She memorizes vocabulary and practice a little with her friends in the same class.
✸ ꒰ workout routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🦢 Jia recommends to work out at least for 20 minutes per day! She usually does simple waist or legs exercises while standing up looking at her phone or watching TV.
Also she goes to Pilates classes so you can try to do a 20 minute Pilates workout video like this one.
✸ ꒰ shower and self care routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🩰 To boost your self-esteem Jia says that we have to at least take 2 days of the week (Saturday and Sunday) on really taking care and spend time with ourselves.
First detangle your hair using a hairbrush, then hop on the shower and use shampoo, conditioner and a hair mask to treat your hair. Then wash your body using a shower gel and a body scrub. Jia uses a soothing gel, thermal water and a body lotion to moisturize her body after shower, she massages the products on her skin to relax her muscles. After 30 minutes, she dries her hair with cold air. After, you can trim your split ends or take care of your nails if necessary.
As a part of self-care, do chores like doing laundry or washing the dishes so you can start relaxing on a tidy place (you can also light an scented candle). Also, Jia takes her vitamins for her hair and overall health.
Now it's time to enjoy our hobbies! Having hobbies help us with both our physical and mental health, plus having our alone time makes us more comfortable with ourselves and help with self -discovery, Jia haves a good set of hobbies that she spends most of her time doing like oil painting, doing DIYs, watching dramas like insider, taking care of her dogs, cooking and baking, playing video games and golf!
✸ ꒰ night routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🌷 Finally, Jia spends her night taking care of her skin! First she washes her hands, the uses a cleansing oil or milk, then she uses makeup remover on her eyes if the cleanser didn't take off her eyeliner for example, then she uses a foam cleanser and toner to finish cleanse her skin. After she uses a hydrating mist and ampule, a dermatologic treatment, sheet mask, lip balm and moisturizer (remember to apply it on the neck too!) after she uses a gua sha to massage her face.
as a part of skincare, make sure to sleep at least 8 hours everyday and drink enough water to wake up with perfect skin!

Pistanthrophobia
(n.) the fear of trusting people due to past experiences
Mark Hoffman x GN! Reader
A/N: This request has been sitting in my drafts for 2 years or so, I am terribly sorry😭but kinda iconic that anon predicted the plot of SAW X
Synopsis: While John and Amanda travel to Mexico, Reader and Mark are being left behind.
Warnings: Cussing, (unspecific) mentions of intercourse, alcohol, mental breakdown, unhealthy coping mechanisms, toxic dynamics, mentions of choking, power imbalance, slight d/s elements -> all mostly mentioned, nothing graphic
Notes: Apprentice! Reader, Nurse! Reader, Enemies to Lovers, Hurt/Comfort, No use of Y/N or other names
"So I'll use my voice, I'll be so fucking rude Words, they always win, but I know I'll lose And I wanna cry, I wanna learn to love But all my tears have been used up"
- Another Love by Tom Odell
"I hate you so fucking much..."
Your words were met with nothing but a derogatory laugh, Hoffman's dark voice almost tauntingly echoing through the room.
Unbothered by your remark, he calmly readjusted his pants before subtly winking at you.
"Don't hate the player - hate the game" he chuckled arrogantly, relishing in the knowledge that he was once again victorious in that little cat and mouse game the two of you were playing.
There was no denying it: Hoffman would always end up having the upper hand, this much was sure.
But oh, how much you wanted to wipe that shiteating grin from his face right now!
Slowly but steadily even the last effects of your orgasm ceased in your body, instantly being replaced with unbearable shame.
As always.
You'd love to say this was a one-time occasion, but every argument with your fellow apprentice would ultimately end up this way - with you being slammed on the next best surface, that is. Getting fucked into utter submission until you'd be reduced to a moaning and stuttering mess, begging him for more.
And mind you, but the two of you fought a lot.
You furrowed your brows at the man, a failed attempt to regain at least a fraction of your dignity. Hoffman however found your pathetic resistance rather endearing, shamelessly indulging in the sight of your ruined self.
Straightening your clothes, you intended to escape this scene as fast as possible - but after a deed this...intense, it was doomed to fail.
So as soon as you jumped from the cold working table, your legs gave up...
...just to instantly being caught in the arms of the man you so desperately wanted to get away from.
"Careful there" he mocked, and yet his breath on your ear was enough to make you shiver once again. "You might wanna take it easy after what I did to you."
"Fuck off!" you managed to regain some composure and snapped back, shoving him away and leaving as far as your still weakened legs could manage.
"Little brat" he grumbled under his breath, only to then fix his tie and continue working as if nothing ever happened. "If you want to come back for more, you know where to find me!"
The words he called after you were left unheard as you paced through the narrow hallways, trying to avoid anyone else to see you like this - runny makeup, ruined hair, the front of your shirt torn apart, skin covered in bruises.
Gladly you would cross paths with neither John nor Amanda during the walk-of-shame to your room. Not that this little 'hate-fuck-workplace-affair' - or whatever one might call it - wasn't obvious, you just couldn't bear another lecture right now.
The water in your current hideout - another run down facility - was cold and made you grateful to be vaccinated against tetanus, but it would suffice.
At least this time you actually had running water, right? A vigilantee with a secret double life shouldn't really complain about missing luxury.
You quickly got undressed and scrubbed off the black oily fingerprints Mark had left on your chest and thighs, while dwelling in self pity...
...because even though you'd rather drop dead than to admit it, you sadly enjoyed those encounters with Hoffman way too much.
And damn, that asshole was amazing when it came to making you come undone.
Couldn't even blame him for acting all high and mighty around you when you'd become wax in his hands as soon as his lips crash over yours in the heat of the moment.
Each and every. Single. Time.
Admittedly, he is handsome. Very much so, and aware of that fact in the worst way possible. Tall, more intelligent than he looked for sure. Strong and dominant - no, downright rude was more fitting.
And while usually rather the quiet type, Hoffman was very vocal about his opinion of you.
The detective thought you to not belong here, to be dull and naive - a nuisance whose mere presence managed to irritate him beyond belief.
After all, you were a mere nurse before this - on the very same station that John Kramer was once a patient on. And someone like him was aware of everything.
So it was only a matter of time until he found out you listened to some of your terminally ill patient's pleads and assisted them with their suicide. Much to his disapproval, needn't be said.
Just like Mark, you had no other choice but to join in Jigsaws schemes - yet opposite to him, you actually looked up to your blackmailer.
"Kindness is a virtue - but given to the wrong people, it can become a weakness" John once scolded you, after having interrupted a rather indecent moment between you and Hoffman.
As if you had ever been kind to him. Well, in the beginning, maybe. But he blocked every attempt to get along, and now you just mirror the way he treats you.
As the last drop of machine oil went down the drain, you couldn't help but mentally wander back to earlier - Mark roughly pounding into you, holding your struggling self in place as he once again reminded you that this was exactly where you belonged - beneath him.
Shit, you have a horrible taste in men.
Mabye you just hated yourself for allowing him to manhandle you like this, using you like some sort of toy to let out some steam on...
...or maybe you hated the fact that you still felt this odd attraction to him, despite everything.
"Did it again, huh?"
Amanda's appearance broke your reminiscing, and you stared her down as she was smugly leaning against the doorframe. God knows how long she had been back already, but with no actual doors privacy was a foreign word in here anyway.
"Please" you groaned, not bothering to dry yourself properly and instead quickly getting dressed again. "I don't wanna hear it."
"You know I'll implode if I can't at least voice my disgust for this cheap excuse of a man." Despite the initial atmosphere, both of you broke out into bright laughter at her comment.
"Seriously" she now added with a more concerned and serious tone, gently grabbing both of your shoulders so you'd properly listen. "Even John begins to think Hoffman's beyond help. Instead of listening to John's teachings, he only got a taste for blood. Who knows what happens when he snaps."
For a sheer second, your face dropped at her statement.
What did she mean with "beyond help"?
Sure, he was the epitome of toxic masculinity and a different kind of insane than the rest of you, but he gets the job done without question...
...and somehow you wanted to believe that he had preserved at least a last bit of humanity, buried deep inside of him.
A taste of blood? Certainly. But more as means of self preservance, maybe out of a twisted sense of justice too.
Soon Amanda would take over John's work and the rest of you could be active from the shadows. You couldn't imagine him continuing this afterwards, neither did you.
"Well" you crossed your arms in a defensive manner, "Tell him to keep it in his pants and I might be able to resist climbing this man like a jungle gym."
"Gross."
Gladly Amanda dropped the topic for now, practically tearing you to the main hall for some kind of 'murder staff meeting'.
You couldn't bear to see his fucking face again, but hey, that's what you get for fucking the company.
John and Mark were already waiting, and the latter immediately scowled upon seeing your fellow apprentice.
Well, if there's one person he despised even more than you it must be her - and she was an actual rival to him and not just a pastime and easy target.
"Late as always" Mark spat venom at her, "Can't expect any less from an addict and a good-for-nothing."
Ouch.
"What's with the grimace, dumbass?" she sneered right back and earned a nudge to the side from yourself. You had no nerve for this right now, especially not in front of your mentor.
Instead of biding Amanda another look, he now turned towards you with a mischievous grin on his face. "Got nothing sassy to say today, sweetheart?"
"Nope." You tried avoiding his gaze, only to be met with John's sympathetic one. "Not in the mood."
"Huh" he almost cackled at his own joke before he even said it, "You were 'in the mood' just a few minutes ago. But hey, that's the only thing you're good for."
Amanda was practicall boiling with rage by now, ready to throw hands to defend your honor. What a wonderful friend indeed...
...but all of you knew that while she surpassed him in skill with ease, he was a literal beast when it came to physical strenght.
"I liked your mouth more when it was duct-taped" you finally snapped back at the man, more to hold Amanda back than anything else. "Or even better, with the shotgun draped right in front of it. Might make that mandatory, so you'll finally think before you speak."
"Try me" he answered calm yet not less menacing, a cocky smirk decorating his face as he approached you until you were basically trapped between him and the wall. "Or do you need me to fuck that attitude right out of you again?"
"Enough already!" John then exclaimed, and immediately the room was coated with an uncomfortable silence, strained even. "You're not here to be so distasteful in my presence. Did you learn nothing at all?"
Couldn't he have intervened earlier?
Well, knowing him he probably wanted to observe whether you took his lecture to heart.
God, you couldn't help but wish to disappear right on spot...
You looked down in shame while Mark would only scoff and back away like a feral dog being tugged on it's leash, finally giving you space to breathe again.
"I called you here because Amanda and I will have to leave earlier than anticipated" John had ended the earlier topic just like that, by dropping this huge information. "Tomorrow night, to be precize."
"Only the two of you?" Mark groaned exaggerated at your question, as if the answer was the most obvious thing to figure out.
"You and the detective need to keep your civil identities upright. The preparations will take longer than anticipated, so it would be suspicious if you were to miss work for such a long period of time"
You nodded, only a little bashful at first but it worsened as John once again directed his words at you. "Did you bring the anesthesia and surgical instruments I requested of you?"
"N-not enough" you tried to explain, a little taken aback. "I thought there was more time. If I steal too much at once, my coworkers will find out..."
"It's alright" Amanda interrupted you, putting a reassuring hand on your back. "I know some people, I can get the missing rest."
Hoffman's laugh was everything but subtle, and more than enough to tell what he was thinking - that you were useless and replacable.
Maybe he was right. But you were never voluntarily a part of this in the first place!
"Both of you have envelopes with assignments on your desk, you need to get this done until my return. This is not a request, it's an order."
All of you voiced your approval, like mindless soldiers who were about to fight the war of others.
"Oh, and detective?" John then turned to look at Hoffman, raising a warning finger. "I know what you're about to do in my absence, and I'll warn you only this once: Don't."
It had been hours since John and Amanda's departure and you couldn't help but repeat this last sentence in your mind over and over again.
Those dreading questions were robbing the sleep you so desperately needed in case you'd have to actuall defend yourself.
What did he mean by that? What intentions or plans would a man like Mark Hoffman have? He seemed like a man with no real aspirations, aside from his position at work he was basically an empty shell of a human being.
You never really thought about it until now, gulping at the thought: Even the serial killer they called Jigsaw, the puppet mastermind admitted he could not control this man.
You've seen the brutality of Mark's traps first hand, the way he treated - no, abused - unconscious victims before their tests.
Compared to the rest of you he was the real homicidal maniac, or at least had the potential to become shall he fall even further astray from his path.
You got the sentiment, though. Knew it yourself - what it's like to have nothing and no one, leading a shallow and empty life.
It was apparent how tired he had grown of this corrupt city, of not being able to bring upon real justice. He had been known for his violent tendencies and immoral methods even before crossing paths with John Kramer...
...and now that he was so deep in those games, it seems there was simply no going back for him now. At least as long as there's still apprentices alive that might snitch his secrets.
You once called him "Jigsaw's Monster" to push his buttons - but to be perfectly honest, you were scared you had hit the bull's eye.
And now they had left you alone with exactly this monster.
He is definetly going to kill you...or worse.
You shuddered at the thought, then laughed at your own imagination running wild. John certainly let a lot slip with both Amanda and Mark, even death traps with no real way to win.
But John had insisted that you were to cater to his needs shall his health deteriorate. So he needed you. He would never let Mark get rid of you just like that, right?
Right?
Well, that's some motivation to get the job done and prove yourself worthy you thought, but life got other plans..
...since just when you were about to leave the hideout for your beloved apartment, the last person you wanted to see right now had magically appeared.
No wonder you thought, since both of you had taken paid time off work for several days, back when you thought you'd accompany John to Mexico.
Either way you were frozen in shock, like a deer in front of a lion. Hoffman was just standing there, staring at you wide-eyed from the dark hallway.
Exhaling deeply, you tried to become reasonable again. Dang, you were behaving ridiculous right now.
That's just Hoffman. A terrible person, but still a person and not some kind of abomination.
"Gosh" you chuckled nervously, pacing around the room to collect some blueprints. "Can't you be normal for once? At least knock or announce yourself."
No answer.
"What now? Wanna insult me again, call me a disgrace or worse? C'mon, I've had it all with you. And hey, John didn't take you with him either so don't get me started on that topic."
Still no reaction from the man, except for him entering the room all mutely, stating holes into your skill.
He was staggering, but seemingly not injured. So drunk it must be. A shame, considering he had been sober ever since he met John.
"D-Detective? You there? Did you hear me?" His sheer presence alone could be intimidating at times, but this was downright creepy.
Slowly coming closer, like so many times the proximity between you became too much to bear. But not with annoying banter or sexual tension like usual.
It was different this time, worse.
A million thoughts at once spiraled in your head.
Should you make a run for it? Nah, he's faster anyway and it would only wear you down.
Fight? Haha, nope. Maybe seduce him and hope for the best? Gosh, pathetic.
Before you even realized, you were cornered once again. Mark built himself up, towering over you like a beast in front of his prey. Then he slammed both of his hands on either side of your head, making you jump.
You were trapped. He harshly tugged on your hair, forcing you to look at his devastated self. Squinting your eyes open, your whole body was shaking violently as you glanced up to the man.
Mark was panting heavily, his breath strongly smelling of liquor. Eyes bordering on a dangerous mixture of hurt and pure madness.
God, he was actually going to murder you.
You felt a hand on your throat, one last desperate attempt of his to ward off those feelings. To remain the one in control over the situation...
...and yet, in the end his lips would meet yours.
Detective Hoffman had kissed you many times before. Always rough, sloppy, demanding. Taking what he needed without ever giving back.
But this...this was new.
It felt almost genuine, with his gloved hand now securely holding the back of your neck in place. Unusually tender as his shaky lips laid on yours, careful like you were a fragile piece of art that could easily be tainted or shatter.
It felt like an eternity, until his lips softly brushed alongside the skin of your cheek before completely pulling back, finally allowing you to breathe again.
You were almost temptated to kiss him back, but were still too confused and afraid, sucking in fresh air and staring at him dumbfounded.
"Hoffman, what the-"
Before you could finish your question, the man pulled you into a bonecrushing embrace.
With your ear against his thorso, you could hear the way his heart was practically hammering against his chest. Much to your surprise he was shaking as well, and you could've sworn to perceive some strangled sobs as well.
"Hey, big guy..." Trapped in his muscular arms you couldn't move an inch, no matter how you tried to writhe yourself out. "This isn't much better than the choking. You're squeezing me here, seriously."
Instead of a proper reaction, you felt him press your much smaller body even firmer against his own, desperate to not let you see him this vulnerable...
...however when you felt something wetten the top of your head you understood.
He was crying. Mark fucking Hoffman, the most menacing and cold person was currently bawling his eyes out.
"Mark?" You had never called him by his first name until now, but it felt right at the moment. "What's wrong? Can I help you somehow? Talk to me..."
That was the last straw.
Not even Hoffman himself knew why he came to you of all people in this state of being...
...but all things aside, you were the only person he could call a constant pleasure in his life - even when he was actively making yours worse in the process.
After everything he's said and done, you should be the last person on earth to care. He had expected you to laugh, spit insults his way, maybe even lash out at him. He deserved it all and way worse...
...yet here you are, offering him your support.
Mark broke down, falling on his knees and weeping openly as he was now unable to hold back anymore.
Or maybe it was because your presence made him feel safe enough to open up, who knows.
"Heya there..." you shushed him, hesistantly sinking down to the floor in front of him. "It's okay. Let it all out."
All of your suspicion, all of your grudges had been shoved back into your head at that moment.
Eery person deserved a second chance - that was one of John's lessions you wholeheartedly wanted to believe in.
Well, sadly just like Jigsaws traps, healing always involved hurt in the process.
"I'm here, Mark. I'm not going anywhere."
And you kept your word, keeping him company as long as needed.
It took you some time and convincing, but eventually you got this drunk and utterly exhausted mess of a man into your bed. Staying by his side, with him clinging to you as if you were his lifeline.
However he never spoke a word that night...
...and when you woke up the next morning, he was gone.
You found him not much later, slouched on a run down sofa at Jigsaw's workshop and drinking his hangover away.
Geeze, this guy is incorrigible.
"You look awful" you greeted him, looking at the clock just to see that it was only 9am.
"Yeah no shit sherlock" he croaked back, voice still hoarse from crying before. "Want a job at my department with your great observation skills?"
"Depends" you snickered, "Do I get a promotion for turning you in?"
There, at the corner of his mouth, his lips were twitching into an almost-smile. He let out an amused huff, before taking another sip from the cheap liquor. "Touché."
"So..." you plummeted down on the other end of the sofa, enough distance to not be uncomfortable for either of you. "Want to talk about it?"
Hoffman leaned forwards, a slouched position that made him appear so much less intimidating than he could be at times. "Rather not."
He looked so sad and tired, or rather tired of being sad.
You almost felt pity for him, but would never dare to say that aloud. He didn't seem like the type of person to take people caring for him positively.
"You're a real pain in the ass, you know that?" Hoffman almost cackled at your choice of wording, making you roll your eyes. "You're making this way too easy sometimes. "
This playful banter made you wonder why it couldn't always be like this - just exchanging some silly jabs, instead of getting at each other's throat whenever you'd meet.
"C'mon, stay focused." You now had both hands at your hips, trying to make an authorative impression. "I seriously thought you came to kill me last night. I think I deserve to know what's going on."
"Kill you?" That seemingly catched him off guard, as he rose a surprised, almost offended eyebrow at you. "Why the hell would I do that?"
"I-I don't know, I...we're all alone, I'm defenseless without the others." A little embarassed at your paranoia, you fondled with your fingers in your lap. "You loathe me, and you've killed people for less."
Your mind went back and forth to his colleagues who he killed in cold blood. People he worked with for so many years, probably went through so much together...
...until he slaughtered them in inhumane ways, without so much as feeling remorse.
"Ah damn it, yesterday was the death day of my sister, okay? You happy now?" He gritted, and suddenly you felt a tidal wave of guilt hit you head first.
How could you not have thought about this?!?
"John didn't want me to relapse with the alcohol" he added, "That's what he meant. But here we are."
This said, he took another sip. And then one more, and another...
In a fit of rage, he threw the empty bottle across the room where it scattered into pieces. As he pulled out another one from his secret storage, you tried to snatch it out of his hand - but his reaction was surprisingly unaffected.
You wanted to drown your embarassment just as much as he did his grief. "We've exchanged all kinds of bodily fluids, a shared bottle won't do any harm."
"...weirdo" he mumbled, hiccuping before involuntarily giving you the bottle.
"Takes one to know one" you shrugged and almost emptied it in one go, ignoring both the burning in your mouth and your companion's pleas to take it easy.
While you continued getting to his niveau of intoxication, Mark seemed to be buried deeply in thought, brows knitted together as he tried to find the courage for the following words.
Sighing deeply, looking anywhere but your eyes, he almost mutely uttered "...and I don't hate you."
"Huh?" You blinked frantically, trying to process what he had just said.
"I don't hate you" he repeated his confession, now firmly and with a stern expression as he scanned your face for a reaction.
"Well, your words and actions certainly don't match." Your mind was alread fogged by the alcohol, and you began to wonder how he could even sit upright with that much running through his system. Well, was certainly not the first time he numbed out his feelings like this.
Not wanting to push him too much, you shuffled closer until your legs would touch. Mark had his face buried in his hands, and you timidly reached out to pat his shoulder...
...only for him to catch your wrist, making you yelp in pain.
Seeing your startled expression, his wild eyes softened immediately, letting go off of you again. "Sorry...bad habit."
"Oh, so you do know how to apologize" you nervously giggled as you rubbed your sore wrist, detecting a glint of self-loathing in his eyes you knew just too well.
Being filled with so much pent up anger and hatred, you thought them to be the only emotions Mark Hoffman was still capable to feel.
Seems like you couldn't have been more wrong.
But it was easier this way, easier to endure his neverending abuse when you imagined him to be some kind of dangerous sociopath and not a mere broken hero.
"Listen, Detective-"
"Just Mark is okay. We're way beyond that."
"Okay...Mark." You gave him a pained yet hopeful smile, and much to your surprise he'd mirror it - not even minding when you cupped his way taller hand with yours. "I'm gonna be blunt: Supressing your emotions won't make them disappear. This is obviously eating you up from the inside, and I'm...worried."
Every sympathetic word of yours made his heart clench.
It was one thing to help a lost soul as a matter of exception, just like yesterday's emergency, but after everything you witnessed not running away, and instead of using it against him still determined to help him?
Why are you making it so damn hard for him to stay away for your own good?
"...I really was right. You don't belong here" he chuckled sadly, his thumb absentmindedly stroking the back of your hand without even noticing it himself. "You're kind. You deserve better."
Mark's intention had always been to scare you away, make sure you won't continue or even associate yourself with Jigsaw's work after his death.
That's why he manipulated the traps you made, took all tasks from you and led you to believe you were not fit for the job - just so your hands stayed free from blood.
At least you should be free from all of this. One person he could help, but to him it'd mean the world.
"I don't like to get attached" he blurted out, licking his dry lips. "It hurts less."
And yet he couldn't resist the temptation, the bliss that he felt whenever he could have you close, if only temporarily.
Even though he wasn't a man of many words, you understood everything - the unspoken ones as well.
Out of a whim, you straddled his waist, intensely staring at the man in front of you.
Now at last, you saw him in a whole different light.
It wouldn't redeem anything, but understanding his behavior might pave a way for him to make up for what he's done.
Mark's eyes widened in shock when you cupped his face in your hands, his subtle beard tickling the skin of your palms. But soon you felt his hands roaming your body, holding you firmly in place and observing you like you were a myth yet to unfold.
He says something, mutely, but the way he looked at you with sheer admiration gave away his thoughts.
Your touch would not falter, instead your eyes dropped to get stuck on his mouth whose taste you knew inside and out.
A weak "Please..." escaped his throat, almost whining at the sensation of your lips only ghosting across his.
In this moment neither the games nor the past would matter...
...and as soon as your lips met, you knew whatever would happen, together you will figure out the future as well.

Hello! I love your blog and would like to ask for your advice. I want to look like an elegant, expensive woman. However, I am having a hard time applying makeup and setting up a skin care routine. Do you have an tips or resources on how to wear makeup elegantly and care for one's skin (for those new to makeup and skin care)?
What are the basic products needed for a dewy, classy make up look? Do you have any tutorials?
What are the basic products needed for healthy, minimal skin care routine?
Thank you for reading this ask! Have a great day!
Hi love! Sharing some of my tips below:
Skin:
Always use a disposable cloth when washing your face: Regular towels store bacteria and can cause breakouts too easily. These facial wipes from Amazon are my holy grail.
Wear sunscreen daily: Yes, even when you spend all day indoors. UV rays can interact with your skin through windows, too.
Niacinamide, Vitamin C Hyaluronic Acid, & Tea Tree Oil are among the few skincare ingredients almost everyone should consider incorporating into their skincare routine.
Learn the correct order to apply the products in your skincare routine: Cleanser, Toner, Serum, Eye Cream, Spot Treatment, Moisturizer, Sunscreen (or Retinol/Skin Oil at night).
Remember: From a dermatologist's perspective, your face starts (or ends) at your nipples. So, ensure you're cleansing, exfoliating, and applying sunscreen daily to your neck, chest, and décolletage to keep your skin smooth, youthful, and well-hydrated.
Vaseline is a great (affordable) alternative to traditional eye creams.
Sugar scrub your facial hair for a more gentle alternative to waxing (Combine sugar, lemon, and water). Laser hair removal, especially under your arms and your arms/legs is life-changing.
Follow up a warm shower with a dry brush and coconut oil for smoother, firmer skin.
Always apply a hydrating lip balm, mask, or Vaseline, hand cream, and moisturizer to your feet before going to sleep.
Layer complementary scents. Ensure the scents of body wash, lotion, and perfume work well together and don't clash.
Makeup:
Learn your skin undertones and educate yourself on color theory (I can create a short ebook/PDF if you want some more educational content on these types of topics – I write about them for a living!).
Test any foundation, concealer, or face powder on your wrists, too.
Don't forget to color-match your bronze and blush: They can appear orange or muddy if you don't find a product with the correct shade or undertones for your skin type.
Invest in products that go on your face, brow products, and eyeliners. Great mascaras and lip products are easy to find at a drugstore or relatively cheap (I suggest Covergirl and NYX, respectively).
Apply concealer in a triangle; don't dot it around your eyes for better coverage.
If you have oily skin (or it's humid outside), apply powder before your liquid/cream products. Set them again with a light powder to lock the color in.
Apply mascara from tip to base for the best lashes of your life: One coat on the tip, another from middle to tip, and the last coat from base to tip.
In a pinch, use a fragrance-free moisturizer and a Q-tip to remove excess makeup (no more raccoon eyes).
Use a light nude or white eyeshadow underneath your brow to make them appear more defined.
Apply face powder under your eyes to help the eyeliner on your waterline last longer.
Create a simple daily makeup routine formula: 1 skin coverage (foundation/concealer), 1 skin color (a favorite blush or bronzer), brows, mascara, an eye-definer (eyeliner or shadow), and a signature "your lips but better" lip shade (1-2 shades deeper or lighter than your natural lip color): This formula provides you the basics, so you never have an excuse not to put yourself together for the day (5-10 minute routine here).
Discover your day-to-night hero product: Always keep a slightly deeper lipstick, a smoky eyeshadow, or liquid liner in your bag to transition your day look into the evening with one portable product.
Hope this helps xx

steven grant has been your best friend ever since you wandered into the gift shop section of the museum, wanting to buy a taweret plushie that you've been eyeing since seeing them when you passed by the area during a tour.
he was just a gift shop-ist at that time, nothing really special but when you had asked for a recommendation of what knick knack was the most historically accurate you could buy, he went on a tangent about egyptian mythology. it landed him a scolding from his boss but a laugh from you. maybe it was because he was just so pretty or that he fascinated you with his knowledge that you gave him your number.
ever since that day, you two hit it off really well. one text led to two and then a call, one too many which turned into you visiting him more at the museum whenever you're not too busy to go out on weekends. not too long after that, you invited him to your place and the rest have been history. it all happened in the span of four months.
you and steven made it a ritual to have a regular sleepover at yours on the last friday of the month (even if steven was working overtime doing inventory and the commute to your place added 30 more minutes before he reached you). but why would he go through all that trouble?
well, it's simple. the first time steven slept over, he became witness to your entire nighttime skincare routine. he was fascinated by all the products you used from face masks to serums to creams, anything you applied to your face he was paying absolute attention to the process of it all.
he loved how every single one of your products would have a benefit to your skin's health so much that he asked if you could do it to him too. now steven's actually very meticulous with his looks, all the boys are really, but steven liked to nitpick at his reflection (marc grumbles incessantly about it though neither of you knew that).
he wears chapstick because his lips get dry easily and since he does have that 5 o'clock shadow, he has a well thought out aftershave products. but skincare all in all? he thinks soap and water is enough.
every product you'd lather on his face, he'd ask what it does and you'd ramble about how retinol serums do help with wrinkles but it shouldn't be applied daily if he doesn't want to burn his face. he thought chapsticks were enough to keep his lips moisturized but when you pulled out a lip mask and a scrub, boy he was a goner.
the next time you guys hung out outside, steven dragged you to the mall and had you help him buy his own set of skincare products.
it made you giggle before directing him to a pretty popular clinic in the mall first so you two know what products to use with professional help rather than guessing what to buy and end up ruining his pretty sun-kissed skin.
[the following information is not accurate, i'm only saying what i remembered from when i was a heavy skincare girlie, i've turned to a much simpler routine now]
okay so, according to (me) the doctor, he's got a little bit of dryness on his cheeks and some oiliness on his t-zone, poor baby's got wrinkles from the stress he gets from donna and the heavy purpling bags under his eyes.
she recommended him quite a lot of products which included 2 cleansers, 2 moisturizers, 3 serums, a cream and an spf all with a variation of AHA, AAA, BHA, retinol, niacinamide and more. he bought them all.
steven absolutely splurged that day, not only did he buy everything the dermatologist recommended, he also went and bought stuff he saw you use from memory, the face masks, lip masks and scrubs, everything. hell he even had you buy your own recommendation of good shower products because "you always smell so nice and i know you're not really a perfume person".
that night, steven had you demonstrate each process step by step or can also be read as steven asking you to apply them on him like at a spa or clinic. he fell asleep with a sheet mask on.
when he woke up the next morning, you told him that you actually completed his routine while he was sleeping, much to his embarrassment, to which you replied with, "it's no problem at all, i got to take care of your pretty face and you were sound asleep, couldn't bear the thought of waking you up when you clearly needed that."
now every time he comes over every last friday of the month, you two would have your me-days. you two don't hold back on any of your products even if it rips a new hole in your wallets every time you two shop to restock.
lounging on your couch in a comfy pair of steven's shirt he forgot at yours some time ago and some sleep shorts, hair held back by a fluffy headband with a face mask on you, you surf through channels to find some trashy movie to watch with steven.
said man was in his own pj's, lip mask over his lips with the front of his curls tied up as he lay his head on your lap. he was reading his egyptian mythology book, reading glasses perched on his nose as he highlights bits of information he considers important.
your hand unconsciously runs through the curls that aren't tied up as you find a channel that's showing a rerun episode from the office and you settle for that. steven would occasionally hum and turn his head to watch, laughing at the jokes they'd make before returning his focus to his book. it's all so comfortable and perfect and somehow really late in the night.
steven notices your hand stopped combing through his hair and was about to ask why but only to see you sound asleep, mid-face mask. kind of like he was when you gave him his first spa treatment.
so he tucks his book away and takes off his lip mask. then continues to take off yours. he brings over your items carefully and starts to finish off your routine for you, making sure his hands don't rub too hard to wake you up. in an odd sense, it's like steven was trying to say thank you.
for the first time you showed him the way to care for himself more than just food and shower, for letting him learn alongside you how to feel better about himself as he applies skincare products on his face and so many more reasons pertaining to your friendship.
he finally finishes yours with great care and he makes quick work of his own, throwing away the masks before shutting the tv off, carrying you with surprising ease back to your bed and tucking you in.
he sneaks in beside you afterwards, holding you close to his body as he mumbles his goodnight. steven never had to worry about his sleeping disorder when with you, never needing an ankle restraint when you were always there to keep him grounded.

Cheapest Beauty Routine
We all deserve to feel beautiful and take care of ourselves no matter what background we have. There are so many beauty routines that recommend products that are so expensive and swear that you need to have a lot of them as well. You don't need the best that money can buy just feel more confident in your own skin! In this post, I'm going over everything from skin care, to exercise, to makeup. If you want to take care of yourself, but you don't have a lot of money to spare, this is for you.
Skin care routine:
Wash your face with a bar of soap - get some soap, lather it between your hands, rub it over your face, and then wash it off with cold water. If you have dry skin, you can get some soap that is moisturising, and if you have sensitive skin, make sure to get a fragrance free one. Make sure to pat your skin dry with a towel or cloth, don't rub it dry.
Moisturise it with a moisturising sunscreen - the cheapest one is from the cancer council. Make sure to put it on after washing your face in the mornings.
At night, use a general moisturiser - To make it cheaper, I would recommend a gentle body lotion or just general moisturiser that you can also use on your body. Make sure it's a gentle one though, as your face is usually more sensitive and fragile than your body.
Hair routine:
Brush your hair everyday - this is basic, but still important! Once every day is the minimum, but if your hair gets very tangled, you might need to brush it multiple times a day. Brushing it before your shower is also great, because it makes washing your hair easier and helps to prevent breakage.
Wash your hair with shampoo + conditioner - it's better to buy shampoo and conditioner separately, but if you're REALLY low on money or you don't want to focus on haircare, head and shoulders has a good two in one.
Air dry your hair - this will make your hair more frizzy, but you don't have to buy a hair dryer for it. If you really hate the frizz, then you can get a leave in conditioner or a anti-frizz serum/cream/spray.
Don't go to bed with your hair wet! - if you can help it. It will increase breakage and make your hair even more frizzy.
Wash your hair brush every three weeks - this is really important to make sure that your hair doesn't get too oily. You can wash it by soaking it in water with some shampoo in it for 5 minutes or so.
Shower routine:
Wash your body with the same soap you used for your face - you can use a separate scented one if you want to smell nice, but you don't have to.
Exfoliate with exfoliating gloves - use your soap and exfoliate your body with these rough gloves. It's the cheapest way to exfoliate without buying an exfoliating scrub. However, if you have eczema or other skin conditions like it, DO NOT USE THESE. You will have to buy a cheap gentle exfoliating scrub, because these gloves can irritate your skin condition.
Moisturise your body after the shower - use the body lotion or general moisturiser I mentioned in the skin routine.
Hygiene routine:
Consider using a soft toothbrush - did you know that there are hard, medium, and soft toothbrushes? I did not for a while ;^-^ but a soft toothbrush is better. It will make sure that you don't shave away at your gums from pressing too hard, and they are just as cheap as normal toothbrushes.
Floss your teeth at least once a day - floss is very cheap and it will make your teeth healthier and they will look better. If you hate using floss, you can get those flossers that have a handle which makes it way easier to use. They are still very cheap, but you'll need to refill them more often than normal floss.
Clip your nails every two weeks - clipping them fairly often helps prevent nail issues and keeps them healthy. You can buy a cheap nail clipper at a supermarket.
Moisturise your hands every morning + night - make sure you rub it over your nails as well, as this can also keep them healthy. You can just use the body lotion or general moisturiser in your shower routine. It's slightly better to use hand cream if you have some extra money, but you don't have to.
Use antiperspirant deodorant - antiperspirant helps to stop you from sweating, while normal deodorant just tries to mask the smell. If you sweat a lot, try mens antiperspirant.
Optional: use a body spray after getting dressed - spray it on and under your clothes, it will make you smell nice! You don't have to, but body spray is cheaper than perfume and you can find them in the supermarket.
Exercise routine:
Use YouTube to find free at-home workout routines - there are so many workouts on there, you will definitely find one that works for you. And it doesn't have to be a workout if you don't want that! You can do yoga, pilates, calisthenics, dancing, anything you want! You can even just put on your favourite kpop dance video and try to learn the dance! The point is to move and stretch your body at least 4 times a week.
Go for a walk every day - it can be short or long, it doesn't matter, Walking is great for your body and your mental health. You can walk with headphones and just play some music, or you can just take in your surroundings.
Healthy eating:
Eat more protein - the best way to do this is to make sure that your three main meals have protein in them. For example, you can have eggs for breakfast, a chicken sandwich for lunch, and a beef mince stir-fry for dinner. It doesn't have to be expensive and you don't have to buy protein supplements. Adding even a little bit more protein to your diet will improve your health.
Eat spinach instead of lettuce - or mix some spinach with your lettuce in a salad or a sandwich. Spinach is high in iron and eating more of it can make you feel less tired. It's also cheaper than buying vitamins.
Eat some fruit and vegetables every day - having at least one of each every day is very good for you! They each have important vitamins and minerals that keep you feeling healthy. You can get whatever ones that you like to eat, but if you're looking for the cheapest ones, bags of apples and carrots are pretty cheap and you get a lot of them.
Drink two bottles of water every day - this is the minimum! If you want, you can buy one of those water bottles that tracks how much water you should drink in one day, but I personally find these bottles too big and inconvenient. If you feel the same, you can just get a normal sized water bottle and just make sure you drink two of them. It's better to drink more, but this is a great start!
Optional
Makeup:
A basic and cheap face of makeup is concealer, eyeliner, mascara, and lip balm - it doesn't change the look of your face much, but it does make you feel a lot prettier and more confident in yourself.
You can get cheap nail polish at a drug store - if you want to paint your nails, it doesn't need to be expensive. You can also get cheap nail polish remover if you need it.
Fashion:
Thrift! - you can get some cheap hidden gems at thrift stores! You'd be amazed at some of the stuff people give away.
You can get some cheap jewellery at Target - and if you're in Australia, Kmart is another great place to get it. You don't need super expensive jewellery to look and feel great! The goal is not to look expensive, it's to feel more beautiful and more confident.
So there is the cheapest beauty/self-care routine that I could come up with! This is the rundown of the costs for all the beauty products, not the food products or the optional makeup and clothing (it's in Australian dollars, so you'll need to convert to your currency if you're not from there):
Soap (3 pack) $4
Moisturising Sunscreen (150ml) $16
Body lotion (100ml) $9
Hair brush $6
Shampoo (100ml) $10
Conditioner (100ml) $10
Exfoliating gloves $12
Soft toothbrush $9
Floss $4 (pack of ~30 flossers is $1.50)
Nail clippers $7
Antiperspirant deodorant (100ml) $5
Water bottle $15
TOTAL: $107
Optional:
Leave in conditioner $10
Hand cream $5
Body spray $10
TOTAL: $25
For an entire beauty routine, $107 or $132 is pretty good. And all of these products should last about three months. You'll only need to replace them once you run out, and some of them are just one-time purchases. If you're on a tight budget, this beauty routine makes you feel good and takes care of yourself without breaking the bank!

Night Skincare Routine 🌙
A night skincare routine is essential for maintaining healthy skin as it allows your skin to recover, repair, and rejuvenate while you sleep. Here's a basic night skincare routine to follow <3
Makeup Removal/Cleansing
Start by removing any makeup using a gentle makeup remover or micellar water. Ensure all traces of makeup are thoroughly removed from your face.
Cleansing
Wash your face with a gentle cleanser suitable for your skin type (dry, oily, combination, sensitive, etc.). Gently massage the cleanser onto your skin in circular motions and rinse with lukewarm water. Exfoliation (2-3 times a week)
Exfoliate
Exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. Use a chemical exfoliant (like AHAs or BHAs) or a gentle scrub. Be cautious not to over-exfoliate, as it can irritate the skin.
Toning
Apply a toner to balance your skin's pH levels and remove any remaining impurities. Toners also prepare your skin to better absorb the products applied afterward.
Serums/Treatments
Apply targeted serums or treatments based on your skin concerns. This could include vitamin C serums for brightening, hyaluronic acid for hydration, retinol for anti-aging, or niacinamide for pore refinement. Pat the serums gently onto your skin.
Eye Cream
Use an eye cream to moisturize and treat the delicate skin around your eyes. Dab a small amount with your ring finger and gently pat it around the orbital bone.
Moisturizer
Apply a nourishing night cream or moisturizer suited for your skin type. Night creams tend to be richer and provide intense hydration. Massage it into your skin in upward motions.
Face Oil (Optional)
If your skin tends to be on the drier side, you might consider applying a facial oil to lock in moisture. Choose oils like jojoba, rosehip, or argan, and apply a few drops, pressing them gently onto your skin.
Lip Care
Don’t forget your lips! Apply a hydrating lip balm or treatment to keep your lips moisturized overnight.
Additional Tips
Sleeping on a clean pillowcase can also contribute to healthier skin. If you're using any prescription treatments or specific skincare products, it's best to consult with a dermatologist for personalized advice.
Consistency is key in skincare routines. Stick to your routine for a few weeks to see noticeable improvements in your skin.
Remember, everyone's skin is unique, so it's essential to tailor your skincare routine based on your skin type, concerns, and any sensitivities you may have. If you're unsure about certain products or steps, consult a dermatologist or skincare professional for guidance.

Fresh Start: A Teenage Girl’s Clean Hygiene Routine
Maintaining good hygiene is essential for teenage girls and young women to feel confident, healthy, and empowered. Here's a comprehensive clean hygiene routine tailored specifically for us:
1. Daily Shower or Bath:
- Use a mild, pH-balanced body wash or soap to cleanse the entire body, paying extra attention to areas prone to sweat and odor, such as underarms and feet.
- Gently exfoliate the skin 2-3 times a week to remove dead skin cells and prevent clogged pores.
- Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water to avoid stripping the skin of its natural oils.
2. Hair Care:
- Wash hair 2-3 times a week with a sulfate-free shampoo suitable for your hair type (dry, oily, curly, etc.).
- Use a conditioner after shampooing to moisturize and detangle hair, focusing on the ends.
- Limit the use of heat styling tools and protect hair from damage by using a heat protectant spray before styling.
- Trim split ends regularly to maintain healthy hair growth.
3. Facial Cleansing:
- Wash your face twice daily, morning and night, with a gentle facial cleanser suitable for your skin type (dry, oily, combination, sensitive, acne-prone, etc.).
- Use lukewarm water and avoid harsh scrubbing, which can irritate the skin.
- Apply a non-comedogenic moisturizer after cleansing to hydrate the skin and prevent dryness.
4. Dental Care:
- Brush teeth at least twice a day, morning and night, using fluoride toothpaste and a soft-bristled toothbrush.
- Floss daily to remove plaque and food particles from between teeth and along the gum line.
- Rinse with an alcohol-free mouthwash for added freshness and to kill bacteria.
- Visit the dentist for regular check-ups and professional cleanings every six months.
5. Feminine Hygiene:
- Change sanitary pads or tampons every 4-6 hours during menstruation to maintain freshness and prevent odor.
- Wash the genital area with a mild, fragrance-free soap and water daily, paying attention to hygiene during menstruation.
- Use breathable cotton underwear and avoid tight-fitting clothing to promote air circulation and prevent moisture buildup.
6. Nail Care:
- Keep nails trimmed and filed to prevent breakage and maintain a neat appearance.
- Clean under the nails regularly to remove dirt and bacteria.
- Apply a moisturizing hand cream to keep hands soft and hydrated.
- Avoid biting or picking at nails and cuticles to prevent infection and damage.
7. Deodorant and Antiperspirant:
- Apply a deodorant or antiperspirant daily to underarms to control sweat and odor.
- Choose a product that suits your body's needs and preferences, whether it's a roll-on, stick, or spray.
8. Sun Protection:
- Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 to exposed skin daily, even on cloudy days.
- Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours, especially if swimming or sweating heavily.
- Wear protective clothing, such as hats and sunglasses, and seek shade during peak sun hours to minimize sun exposure.
Remember, good hygiene goes beyond physical cleanliness—it also involves taking care of your mental and emotional well-being. Practice self-care, prioritize sleep, eat a balanced diet, stay hydrated, and engage in activities that bring you joy and fulfillment. By incorporating these habits into your daily routine, you'll not only look and feel your best but also cultivate a healthy lifestyle for years to come.
