behold, the hazbin oc i forgot to post here after debuting her on twitter! Vixen Dupont is a vaudeville performer of the roaring 20's who, after dying in a tragic electrical fire in the studio she worked out of with her fellow dancers, learned that she and the girls had been condemned to hell on hot wheels for what none of them could justifiably conceive the cause. Eventually, she took the initiative to seek out a means of making an after-living for herself and her friends, dabbling in the rising popularity of the Pride Ring's exclusively sinner based entertainment scene. Through a number of unfortunate events and charity courtesy of a friendship with Hell's newest creepy crawly, The Radio Demon, Vixen shook herself free of her exploitative career and went on to build her own business in another Overlord's territory. The Silk Paw, a club for the weary soul longing for times gone by and a touch of softness after the inferno, is her current pride and joy. Her relations with Alastor remain purely speculation to the public at large, and for a decade or so managed to die down. His return to the spotlight now turns the rumor mill once more, and the hotel he sees fit to busy himself with becomes an interest of his old friend's to the point that Vixen decides it would be profitable for all parties if she became a sponsor of Princess Charlie's endeavors.

Being someone who read Under The Red Hood and came out with the firm belief that, for Jason, it's not about killing Joker, it's about Jason wanting proof Batman would choose him over the Joker (bc shelia chose the joker). Makes seeing any other media where it's all about just wanting the Joker dead is a teeny bit frustrating. to be honest

Jason could've killed the Joker himself, really, really easily. Jason kidnaps the Joker before the confrontation. I can't open my comic for a reference right now, but it felt like he had the Joker for quite a bit before the confrontation. He had him. He beat him up with a crowbar. He had every single opportunity to kill the Joker himself, but he didn't because that wasn't his goal. Make no mistake, he did plan for the Joker to be dead by the end of it, but do you see what im trying to say here

It's not about making Batman kill either. When Batman says he won't kill, Jason adjusts and goes, 'Let ME kill the Joker or kill me to stop me' instead. The test is all about Batman choosing him. The whole final confrontation is Jason's first death again. The parent, The Joker, and the explosives. It even ends with Jason unable to move as a bomb goes off right next to him again because the parent didn't choose Jason. And instead tried finding an option that'd benefit them and (consequencely) letting the Joker walk, again, lol, lmao <-in agony

mmm throwaway conversation between Dan and Danny that popped into my head that I had to write out:

His mouth pulls back to bare dagger-sharp teeth, and his eyes burn with the familiar thrum of ectoplasm heating up behind his eyes. "If I didn't believe you were half of Vlad before, I do now."

His other self -- and really, can he even call him that? He's half of Vlad too. Two halves severed from each other and welded together to make a new whole, -- snaps his head over to him. Wild-eyed and furious, he looks unlike the man Danny fought before, the one unruffled and untouched, unbothered by the world around him. It's familiar, but not like the way a reflection is.

"What's that supposed to mean." The Other hisses, matching Danny's scowl one-for-one with fangs much bigger and sharper than his.

But there's a reason lions fear hyenas. Danny matches the rumble in The Other's chest with one of his own, and shoves his face close to his. "I don't lose."

turbo is connected to the last piece of his code in the whole arcade - a trophy he gifted to felix in mid 80s as a symbol of him genuinely caring about their relationships on par with being the best racer. felix also gave him one of his medals and both kept their gifts next to other rewards, but when roadblasters and turbotime were unplugged, the medal was gone with everything else

now, after burning in cola-lava turbo is basically dead, but scraps of his code still were intertwined with the trophy (after all, it was his first winner's cup, but felix never knew about it), giving turbo an opportunity to exist as a shadow incapable of interacting with anything and anyone besides felix, who kept the trophy even after the roadblasters incident

One of the things that makes me feel crazy on DMC5 replays is the way V phrases his request to Dante.

He doesn't say "we need your help to stop the demon." He says "A powerful demon is about to resurrect, and we need your help, Dante." The implication seems to be that V needs Dante's help to stop it...but if you've played it before, that's not what he's really asking. V needs Dante's help in order for the resurrection to take place. Because until Urizen is weakened V has no chance of rejoining him, so he needs Dante's help to weaken Urizen so he's primed for merging and bringing about Vergil's resurrection. The "we" V refers to could also absolutely be both V and Urizen in that case, instead of just some general "we" of humanity. So he's not really asking for help to stop the resurrection, but instead to bring it about, hiding the truth in plain sight and careful wording.

The DMC 5 localization can be wonky in some places, but in other places it just shines. "We need your help, Dante." Not to stop it. He never says that. It's to bring about the resurrection itself.

Yknow, the only thing I knew about EOM before going into it was the ship between Lethica and Marius (tho I didn’t know the characters names, just the ship between them via fanart), and I had kinda written it off as “oh, hot boi x hot girl, okay”.

(Spoilers up to episode 11 under cut)

But then I started watching EOM. And with the mixture of their personalities blending well together, the constant back and forth with “I agree with Marius” “I agree with Lethica”, the literal Darkness x Light trope (granted, mostly it’s because of their respective gods, but still), and just. Specific moments.

Like Lethica paying attention to what Marius ate for breakfast the previous morning, and took some with her to give to him when he caught back up to them after his conversation with the High Inquisitor, or Marius somehow fucking reviving Lethica (despite not having the Revivify spell available to him at their current level), and their hug afterwards??? I just.

I get it now. I mean, I started getting it by the time they cleansed the Crooked House, but now? I’m fucking loving this ship. It is just. Amazing. I love it.
