#batman arkham asylum spoilers

Recently started playing Batman: Arkham Asylum and GRAHHHH that shit is so good. Peak. [infodumping incoming]

My favorite scenes so far [I'm at the part after Harley releases Poison Ivy] are the ones with Scarecrow. His fear gas is super interesting and scratches my autism brain. like Woah,,,,,,the walls are crumbling, the hall just got 10x longer, WHAT THE HELL WHERE DID THIS ENTIRE NEW PARKOUR AREA COME FROM??? However my only complaint w/ Scarecrow's scenes is that I'm a dumbass and didn't know that ctrl is how you jump down from a ledge. I was pressing every button BUT control. And the Scarecrow scenes aren't very "fun" per se, they are mostly just cool looking. I loveeeee his design, the needle fingers are so cool.

I also must comment that every villain is awesome, I've always loved Joker [all the iterations I know] and he's just silly. like let my silly little guy out, he ain't done nothing wrong [staged a coup in Arkham because a doctor said no to giving him super venom]

Riddler's voice is annoyingly awesome, like he is so condescending but he's SILLY and so I adore him. Like you go little riddle man, riddle me this. Croc's whole thing is terrifying also [I haven't fought him or seen him outside of like 2 scenes but still. He smells Bats guys he's a professional Bat hunter]

Have to say I like Harley's design much better in the Jester suit of her art rather than her actual game design! I don't mind it but it's just Revealing Skin and imo it's not even that nice of a revealing outfit, could do better. 5/10 Don't care for it

ALSO THE GADGETS AND MECHANICS ARE SO AWESOME. The fighting isn't that complicated to understand!! Which is great for me who hates anything more than 3 buttons [you can survive with 3 buttons in Arkham Asylum pretty well through the beginning, I have found]. when I unlocked the Batclaw my soul ascended from my body. FINALLY I can get into those pesky restricted places, I AM SO HAPPY. I absolutely love exploring and collecting things so I am having a lot of fun :3 Plus I just love Batman. Totally not biased [lie]

All Gilda Arkham Shadow moments (NOT real spoilers)

This is disappointing.

That is it. That is literally it in the entire game. These are ALL easily missable moments. It's on a last-minute interview clip that is easily missed, and Harvey's answering machine, which is also easily missed. Why is there no other sign of Gilda? At all? Why isn't she in the hospital with Harvey? Why isn't she seen comforting him after some of his other traumatic events? Why do we see nothing? She easily could have taken the place of some of Leslie's moments. Gilda is Harvey's rock just as much as Bruce. (I say that as someone who appreciates Bruharvey.) Even if they didn't want to make a model of her, they could have had a drawing of sorts like they did with Christopher Dent. They could have had a voice message. They could have had Harvey say something as simple as "Gilda is worried about me" or "I have to go home to her". "Gilda says hi." - in the storyline. Gilda is a truly wasted character. She makes Harvey's wife so much richer and I'm disappointed by creators once again leaving her out. However, I do applaud Arkham Shadow for doing some amazing work with Harvey, especially for BruHarvey fans.

WFA is killing me.

First, I wanted a fight between Selena and Tim verse Mr. Freeze. That pissed me off a little. So, what happened was that Joker let Freeze out of Arkham hoping to get Freeze to work with him. Freeze didn't. I'm not sure what Feeze told him, honestly. But... Whatever.

Okay, now we get to the good stuff. There's this part where Steph is fighting robots, and she says, "Don't tell Batman, but I'm regretting skipping cardio day. I will never complain about those stupid training schedules ever again." I don't know why, but I loved this and I burst out laughing. Then Calculator says he's gonna kill them, and Jay is like "Been there, done that..." And that's funny.

That's the only good stuff. This one started out pretty bad, but it's fine. I got Steph and Jay.

Merry Little Batman is out on Amazon Prime! i went to the screening over the weekend and it’s such a cute movie 😭 basically 90% Damian which was a pleasant surprise haha

I would really love if they made an Arkham asylum or Arkham state hospital show. I think that would be so interesting. Slight spoiler: I liked seeing the hospital when Sofia was in there. There’s so much that they could work with but it will probably not happen.

I think it would be so funny if one of the Batfam just… became a psychiatrist at Arkham.

Stephanie was at some point studying premed, so it could be her, or maybe another. But like it could be such a good read, and focus more on the aspect of batman people so often forget: rehabilitation. It could dive into the relationship between vigilantes and Gotham’s Rogues. Of trying to help the people responsible for so much harm.

It could touch on the more humane aspect of things, the reasoning behind it all. I mean, we’ve got Dick who became a cop to “fight corruption from the inside,” but like, I feel this could be such a more effective way to help stop Gothams rogues, by helping them. Touching on what comes after the fight.

I just finished arkham asylum- cant believe i only had 2 fights left, that last party sequence was coolio. Caving in jokers smug mug felt therapeutic, 10/10 would do again. But in general it was a really great game! Compact and to the point, I completely understand how it won game of the year. Now onto arkham city >:) (which will probably feature harvey dent as it villain w some titan serum shenanigans, im so reaadyy)

Playing Arkham Asylum again and Jesus I never realised how much of a bitch Dr Young was. She experimented on Arkham patients to test out TITAN formula and she was dumb enough to be manipulated by Joker for him to get a hold on the formula’s whereabouts for his evil plan. And yet the game paints her as some morally grey victim of Joker’s evil who tried desperately to atone at the last minute but I’m like why should I care when she dies? And worst off, no one in the Arkham staff has called her out on her immoral experiments on patients or even when it’s found out she was unintentionally working with Joker.

What the fuck is wrong with Arkham Asylum, you know aside from everything
