Batman looked around, immediately realizing she was referring to his Robin (Dick Grayson, 9). He groaned, already aware of where this was going.

Robin!Dick (enthusiastically waving): Hi! I'm Robin! I can do flips and tricks!

Hawkgirl (eyes sparkling, thrilled): Oh my Goddess! You're the Robin? He's the Robin?

Robin!Dick: Yeah!

Batman nodded, clenching his jaw as he watched Hawkgirl rush over and scoop up the little boy, pulling him into a tight hug.

Batman (matter-of-factly, annoyed): He’s a biter... And not a baby.

Robin!Dick (defensively, grinning): Batman, shush. I’m not going to bite her; she’s sweet!

Hawkgirl (gently rubbing her cheek against the child's sidekick's cheek): Oh, you’re just so precious and adorable! I can't believe how… cute you are!

Robin!Dick (giggling): Aww!

Years later, when Dick Grayson had grown up to become Nightwing, Hawkgirl approached him with the same energy, hugging the man like he was still a child.

Hawkgirl (playfully, smiling at him): Someone ate his veggies, and you’re still cute! I hope to have a kid like you because I’d be proud of them too.

Batman (walking past the two, coffee in hand, rolling his eyes): Christ.

Nightwing (beaming, genuinely happy): This is the best day of my life. Thank you for not flirting with me in a creepy way.

Hawkgirl: Kid, I knew you when you were a kid. Don't worry about that.

I have an obsession with Batfam meets the Justice League fics and headcanons in general, and my favorite situation is when the JL fully knows Nightwing, he's on the team, they all like him quite a bit, and he's so charming and open seeming that they all collectively forget that they don't know anything about him.

I want that, then on a mission, fighting a magic user of some sort, Nightwing gets zapped back to young Robin age. So everyone else on said mission is left confronted with 9 year old Dick Grayson in full Robin gear, who is fully ready to fight every single one of them, and they generally have no idea what's happening or who this child is, other than the fact that he's probably young Nightwing, except he won't answer to that name.

And Dick, extremely confused and suspicious because he doesn't know half of the people there, and the ones that he is aware of are wearing different costumes or are just straight up different people than they're supposed to be, proceeds to try and fight them, then actively try to run away.

Then they finally manage to wrangle him back to the Watchtower, trying to grapple with the implications that Nightwing has been a highly trained, costume vigilante since childhood, and managed to break a bone in Green Arrow's hand before they subdued him, and is still thrashing around and trying to bite various League members.

They call Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman in to see if they have any idea what to do with him, and when Robin sees Batman, he squirms out of Flash's grasp, runs to Batman, and climbs up his side until he's wrapped himself around his shoulders like he does it every day.

The Bat lets this happen, sighs in exasperation, then calls Zatanna to help.

The League is then left to piece together why tiny child Nightwing ran to Batman for safety, and why Batman seems a whole lot less confused than everyone else.

Can someone please recommend fics where Dick talks about Jason as his "Baby brother" and people always think he's a kid or something, but then they meet him and just blue screen, because this is a 6'0 dude, decked out in guns as though he's a Christmas tree and they're his ornaments, (bonus points if he threatens to shoot anyone making a move on Dick), and built like a fridge standing next to the superhero version of a flexible sunshine.

Please, I'm begging you, I need these fics for my 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘭.

Also, on that note, if anyone has any fics where Bruce talks about all his kids as his "Babies" and then introduces them to the JL and pretty much the same thing happens, only Bruce adds the whole "I birthed them all" thing (whether it's as a joke or he's actually a cryptid, I don't care).

if anyone is from the justice league recognized jason todd, it would be guy gardner, scott free, dinah lance, booster, ted kord, j’onn, and max lord.

give me less hal jordan and barry allen recognizing jason and give me guy and booster. ofc clark and diana would also recognize him (bc the trinity and all that), but get the true line-up accurate in your fanfics

Flash Family Meets the Justice League

Okay, folks, so here's the thing, I love Batfam meets the Justice League and it's so fun because of the way that it has so many crunchy tropes mixed into it. Secret Identity? Check! Identity Reveal? Check! Paranoia? (there is a whole fic with this trope named this and it is fantastic) check! There's also just, found family, secret relationships, pranks.

Car Salesman: *smacks "Batfamily Meets the Justice League" tag* this bad boy can fit so many excellent superhero tropes.

The only problem is... there is a lot of Batfam meets the JLA fics out there. This isn't to say there is too many because there can never be too many and as long as there are new ones, I'll be eating them, because they are fantastic. But what if we could get something that feels like this trope, that tastes like it, but is just different enough that it opens up a whole wealth of new ideas?

How about Flash Family Meets the Justice League? The idea is that Flash is about as opposite from Batman as possible, which makes it that much more fun. Where the Bat hides everything, Flash is always open... or so the League thinks. Flash has a good shipping dynamic with pretty much any leaguer though I will always be a HalBarry stan and has quite a few kids at least 2 of which are active heroes.

Plus, Central City ever seem just a little too good to you? within a year of the Flash being active there was a museum in his honour. The Flashes can ask their rouges to take the day off, and they will I would love to see a crypidly happy Central city which is cursed with a different kind of curse from Gotham.

I feel like there's a super ton of focus on the Bats don't get me wrong, I love the Batfamily, that how I got into DC and we don't touch the untapped potential of the other families. Just please, consider the idea, chew on it, and if you end up writing about it, tag me please.

"We know what you did." Superman loomed over Red Hood, every word a booming threat that if he didn't cooperate, it'd be more than his helmet smashed to pieces.

"I've done a lotta things," Red Hood said. "Ya gotta be more specific."

"I'm almost there, Roy, there's no need to get pissy." Jason flipped off the old woman he just passed, the one who'd been doing twenty under the speed limit since Pike Ave.

On the other end of the phone, Roy sighed. "I know, Jay-" Jason adjusted the phone, speeding up on his bike- "-worry about you. Bikers get in three times more accidents than cars. Three times!"

"Maybe 'cause their boyfriends won't stop nagging them while they're tryna-" he swerved around a pedestrian who should not have been crossing there, holy f- "-drive!"

His reintegration into the Batfamily had been... a little rocky, mainly on account of the whole "trying to kill Tim thing", which he would admit was definitely his fault.

Getting to hang out with Damian again was a plus, too. He'd met the little shit in the LOA, and they actually hit it off pretty well, in his opinion. Given, he had no idea what an actual sibling relationship was supposed to be like, but stabbing was probably normal.

All in all, the Wayne's, being one of them? It wasn't that bad.

He looked up, and was greeted with an (unfortunately) familiar face. Oliver Queen, Green Arrow, Roy's father. He was in his full Emerald Archer get-up, little green booties and all.

Decided to try my hand at the "Batfamily meets the Justice League" trope, filled to the brim with my own headcanons and favourite dynamics. This fic is entirely self indulgent, but I'm gonna post it anyways because I'm so bored.

What if the cowls and domino masks have a setting where they can see each other's eyes? Like, only for them when they're wearing the masks, it's like a projection or limited see through. No one else can see except the family. This would be useful because when they're around other heroes they could communicate mircoexpressions even easier, they could do a concussion check, can see if they've been drugged or are dissociating (cause this family has trauma and there's no way they don't get triggered once in a while).

Mostly I'm thinking of the hilarity of the rest of the teams wondering how these people communicate so effectively and know where the other's looking without effort.

Bruce sighed pausing working on his keyboard project. He walked off to get suited up, but wasn't eager about it.

Bruce: This is going to be a whole day activity. Damn it!

Batfam meets the Justice League fic idea where it's actually just Oliver Queen in Star City attempting to hunt down Red Hood (who isn't even there doing crimes actually, he's just visiting Roy, but Ollie doesn't know this) except every time he tracks him down, he finds another costumed vigilante (Read: Batfam) attempting to get his help for something.

And like, Ollie recognizes them, of course. Because isn't that Nightwing? Nightwing who is actively on the Justice League? Why is he asking an infamous crime lord to come home for dinner?

And then, a week later, he's tracking down another Red Hood sighting and.... that's Red Robin. He's in charge of Young Justice, isn't he? And he just fought Red Hood in an alley and then stood up like nothing happened and bugged him for intelligence on a case he's working, and Red Hood gave it to him?

And it just keeps going down the list until Ollie's at his wits end and partially convinced that a handful of vigilantes on various teams, who he can't for the life of him think of a way they might be connected, might actually be corrupt and working with the mob, then he (begrudgingly) follows reports of another sighting of Red Hood and... that's Batman, arguing with Red Hood but not actually fighting or detaining him, so Ollie sneaks closer and listens to the conversation and... it's the dinner thing again. Family dinner, he hears a few seconds later, and someone named Agent A would really like it if Hood came home for a few hours.

Ollie leaves that situation somehow far more confused than when he started, and he was already extremely confused.

Roy is fully aware that this is happening the entire time and is having the time of his life.

Love when the Justice League thinks Batman is a cryptid. This believe is only further enhanced by the face his sidekick, Robin, is clearly a shapeshifter, what with changing their height, hair style, skin tone, and even gender.

Batman clearly thinks that by having Robin look different every couple of years, it will show that they aren't cryptids like it would if Robin didn't age.

But the Justice League is too smart for that. They figured it out! But they are good friends (colleagues) and won't spill Batman's secret, but they will drop hints to him that they know, to show that they are smarter than he gives them credit for (they aren't.)

When the batkids learn that the league thinks this, they start periodically going to the Watchtower with Bruce, taking turns dressed up as Robin.

The League is surprised as Robin seems to prefer taking the form of a child, perhaps to have villains underestimate them? But they just assume Robin is trying out something new.

The batkids definitely tell eachother about what was said/happened as to further sell the act of Robin being a shapeshifter, because clearly it has to be the same person, Robin knows what happened, so it couldn't of been someone else dressed as Robin.
