headcanon that rather than disobeying the lan clan’s strict sleep schedule like staying up late or waking up late like you might expect of him, Lan Jingyi does rest at hai time and rise at mao time like any Lan but in the most chaotic and inelegant way. Hai time rolls around and he is instantly out, like just nods off in the middle of a conversation while still standing mouth hanging open

the number of times Sizhui has had to move him to his bed in their dorm after Jingyi falls asleep sprawled on the floor, or frantically yank him out of a bath before he drowns, Ouyang Zizhen will catch his head before it falls into his plate of food, Jin Ling ends up having to carry him on his back to the nearest inn when they’re out of town

and yeah he wakes up at mao time but he wakes up like an explosion and is instantly bursting with energy. Before Sizhui can even fully open his eyes, Jingyi is halfway through a monologue at full volume, he’s bouncing off the walls, 75% of his day’s productivity is happening right after he wakes up

bonus points if this very noticeably does Not happen during a serious battle or night hunt and people start to think he’s doing it on purpose but Sizhui will tell you no he’s just Like That

Finally have enough texturing done on him I can get back to taking screenshots. Body is BodyTalk, Skin textures are an edit of Vobla's MACABRE, hair is Oni's Vanilla Retexture, and everything else is custom. Outfit is here.

#there are almost no vanilla textures or models left on this man. he is the blorbo of theseus.#his face shape is untouched besides putting a bit more fat on his neck. the only thing i changed is the overlays #body shape however is totally new. sorry vanilla purists i am down with the thickness #the eyes/eyelashes are all new meshes/textures as are the eyebrows and teeth/tongue but you cant really see those #body hair is actually a daz3d asset that I bought. used blender to shrink wrap and bake it onto the bodytalk body #ive painted my own in the past but i like this one much better #my mods #my screenshots #tag danse later

the fool i was, thinking i was done with deform bones, as if i wasn't going to stumble across what might be the perfect jiggle physics tutorial using bones i've ever seen

#soda offers you a can #like the problem with soft body physics is that you kinda have to bake the animations and what have you #and they're tied to the mesh directly rather than bones #which doesn't give you as much control over the movement as i'd like to have with something like quills #(especially in silver's case because psychokinesis and what have you)#so finding a bone solution is effectively perfect from animation perspective #but it also might require me to redo the quills with more bones possibly #and then redo the weight painting Again askdjhakd

#im not even doing anything fun for work #i am individually applying a boolean onto the wall of an amphitheater to create windows because for some reason i couldn't do it with a #joined model so i can make window cutouts #i hate it #i also have to manually re-place each and every single jumping puzzle cubes i put into the unity build and imported into blender because #unity exports them as ONE JOINT MESH so if u move one face it moves the face on EVERY cupe which is a nightmare and that's not even getting #into the re-texturing and re-baking of everything...#also grueling knowing that they might not even like any of these changes and i'll have to redo it all which is just the nature of client #work but its still augh #thx for all the love for my mushroom cannibal 👁👁 i read all the notes ofc #personal stuff

ough ok. brunch was good but i am Tired now

#marzi speaks #brunch was actually kinda mid but i’m trying to keep a positive mindset going rn #ihop didn’t cook my eggs as much as i’d have liked and i didn’t really feel full by the end of the meal #also we went with someone who my brother is closer to than i am and. uuugghh i don’t super like that guy #he’s not like a bad person or anything it’s just. the way he operates as a person does not mesh well with me i fear #ALSO SELF ADVOCACY WITH SOMEONE WHO DOESN’T UNDERSTAND DISABILITY THAT WELL IS EXHAUSTINGGGG #i’m used to my friends half of whom are disabled themselves. so everyone’s usually very accommodating #i had to ask this guy to slow down several times bc my feet are sore from baking n such yesterday #when we were waiting to be seated he wanted to walk all the way over to the nearby petsmart???#and i was like 1- they said it would be 15 minutes that is not a long wait (this guy INSISTED that was forever)#2- i am not walking all the way to goddamn petsmart rn #and 3- i am immunocompromised and the last place i want to be before i eat is a pet shop #i asked my brother to drop me off at the house when we left and bc my brother had to pee the friend came in too #and he started exploring the house and TOUCHING SHIT and it was stressing me OUTTT #he picked up my ds games without even asking (thank god i warned him that the ds itself was broken)#uuugghh it was stressful i was losing patience #thankfully he has left with my brother now. so i can calm down #and i can rest now. and maybe doordash lunch bc i don’t feel like cooking anything #at least the fit goes hard <3
