I am a strong believer in autistic Evan who goes non-verbal when he's stressed or overwhelmed or even just very excited about something. He feels things so strongly that he doesn't know what to do and can't verbalise any of it. Barty or Pandora have to hold him really tightly to calm him down but sometimes because the pressure helps, but also it can just take time so he hides under the covers in the empty dorm with the curtains drawn.

Next Time You Won't Get Caught

i had a little,,, neurodivergent moment at a restaurant earlier and ended up coming up with this little microfic based on pandora and barty from zar's definition of insanity!

"BABY!" Pandora yells, running towards the gates. Barty is being held between two guards, escorted out of the prison with a blinding smile on his face.

"Hey there, Angel Darling," Barty says as the guards unlock his hand cuffs and leave him at the gate. Pandora crashes into him, as he wraps his arms around her neck. She cuts off his circulation, hugging him.

"Ohmigod I missed you so much! Evan, you remember Evan, right? Anyway, he drove me over here with his new boyfriend and we're all going out to dinner to celebrate at your favorite restaurant! Oh, I hope you remember your favorite restaurant, do you remember? Anyway, my friend from work, Regulus, and his boyfriend James are also coming, you'll love them, trust me. I think you and Regulus were soulmates in a past life and anyway-" Pandora rambles and rambles about all her plans and Barty listens intently, chuckling at her excitement.

"Slow down, Angel, we've got time," he assures her, rubbing her back lightly.

"It has been far too long since I've been allowed to touch you, you know," Pandora says into his shoulder.

"I know, Angel." Barty hugs her tightly, running his hand over her blonde locks. "And you know I just talked to you last week, I know who your friends are," he assures.

"I wasn't sure you'd remember," she says shyly, finally pulling back to look at his face. Pandora breaks into a wide smile seeing him and kisses him all over his face while he laughs.

"Of course I remember," he says lightly, taking her hand. "I never forget a thing you say, Darling." Barty brings her hand up and kisses her knuckles and she blushes and giggles, wiggling around excitedly. "Now let's go, don't want to keep my soulmate waiting now, do we?" he asks, winking over at whom he assumes to be Regulus standing next to a tall, tan man by a sleek, black car that must belong to Evan.

The man who is probably Regulus smirks and then says something to his boyfriend who looks hurt by the action. Barty already knows they're going to get along great.

"Yes, yes, of course," she says, nodding to herself. "One more thing though." Pandora reaches into her purse, pulling out a string with various charms and beads on it. "It's a good luck charm," she smiles. And the next part she whispers in his ear. "So next time, you won't get caught." She giggles at that, slipping the charm into his pocket.

"I love you," Barty says. Pandora beams and does a little dance before composing herself.

"I know," she says giggling and skipping away towards her friends, motioning for Barty to follow. She's the only good luck charm he needs.

Pandora!!

I don't talk about her a lot on here, but I adore her so much. All her smarts and her interest in the more unconventional side of magic. She's seen as weird and quirky by everyone who doesn't know her and quite a few that does, but that is more due to miscommunications for anyone who doesn't understand her peculiarities (autism go brrr).

Also! I have a bit of a headcanon that she's aro/ace and in a queer-platonic relationship with whoever she ends up with.
