cedric diggory x fem!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: after being forced to stay home from hogsmeade as your funds fall at 0, you and cedric find other ways to pass the time.
cw: oral (fem receiving)
Tumblr media
you puff your cheeks, watching the girls run around the dorm, coin purses in hand. you're draped over your bed, hair hanging as you lay upside down.
"Are you certain you don't want to join us, y/n?" one of your roommates ask and you sigh
"what do you think I get with one sickle?" you ask before pursing your lips in performative thought, the girl laughs before tying her scarf around her neck, your houses color vibrant as she waves goodbye
"I'll keep an eye out for you! bye!" and just like that the door shuts and you're left to stare at your purse that's filled with one sickle because you couldn't stop your spending before Hogsmeade.
you groan before sitting up to plant face first into your sheets, your bare legs shiver from the open window and you pull your skirt farther to try and warm yourself
"Whats going on here?" you jump to see an ever-so-smug cedric leaning on the bedpost in front of you, you squeal and jump up, asking why your boyfriend broke into your room
"Wanted to check on you, heard you're not coming to Hogsmeade. thought you weren't feeling well" he mumbles as he walks toward you
"I'm fine, just poor" he snorts, laying back on your bed as you crawl to him
"can't believe you missed Hogsmeade just to check on me" you hiss, and his chest vibrates at your lack of praise for his good manners
"goodness, y/n" he sighs, running his fingers through his hair and you hang over him, trying read what he wont tell you
"you are very hard to please, aren't you?" he purrs
"not if you're looking in the right places." you whisper, he only fully understands your position when his eyes move down, hands wrap around your hips as his eyes darken
you grin and he flips you over, giggles escape you as he peppers kisses down your neck
his large hands roam your thighs and soon, your panties are being pulled down
he comes up to see you to connect his lips with yours before dragging himself back down and hiding under your skirt
you gasp as his tongue lays flat on your open cunt, slowly dragging up your warmth and he moans into your core
"you're delicious" he whispers before digging in once more, lapping at you, as you squirm above him. tears edge on your lids as your hips get pulled closer by him as he makes out with your pussy
you're losing your mind now, eyes rolling back as his tongue circles your clit before flicking the bud viciously
you cry out to him as you release and he laps at your cream like it is the best thing he's ever had.
once he is done, he kisses all over your core and thighs before unveiling himself from your skirt, chin glistening with the biggest grin you've ever seen on him.
"I'm so glad you're poor"

not including ginny’s development in order of the phoenix was such a faux pas by the film writers. that book truly sets her up as the perfect future partner for harry, before even showing the romantic side of their relationship. it is critical to their development.
we get so many small but important moments where we see how brilliant she is. how she listens to him and doesn’t pressure him, or lecture him. she just listens. how funny she is, and playful and witty. she’s fun to be around, she makes him laugh, she takes the weight off his shoulders more than once, she’s tough and feisty. she calls him out on his shit when he needs it, which is something most of his friends are unable to do without resulting in silence, yelling or tears, their little shared glances when they find something funny, ginny ready and willing to risk her life to help him, and him being protective (?!!!), not to mention they bicker like an old married couple when they go to the department of mysteries like hello???)
i could go on and on and I WILL some other time

Sirius Black, the firstborn. The aristocrat. The one raised in a disgustingly rich, respected, and feared family. Sirius Black, the rebel without a cause, who forged his identity by opposing the values of that family. The tall guy, so handsome that girls couldn’t even concentrate on their exams. The popular one, the one who had it all. The one who didn’t have to worry about running away from home because the loving parents of his also-rich best friend took him in. Sirius Black, the one at the top, the one who did whatever he wanted to those beneath him. The one who spent seven years torturing a poor half-blood just out of boredom, for fun, because he could.
Sirius Black, who looked at that poor half-blood as a representation of everything he hated, everything that disgusted him. Despising him for wanting to go to his family’s house, for wanting to gain power that he—let’s be honest—had possessed from birth. Sirius Black, constantly laughing at Severus Snape, calling him Snivellus, mocking his appearance, ridiculing his poor, downtrodden look, encouraging him to go somewhere he’d likely end up dead. Sirius Black, convinced he was doing nothing wrong because Severus Snape was a piece of shit who followed the Death Eaters, and hurting him was completely justified.
Sirius Black, the brave one, the one who would’ve given his life for the good cause, the one who was on the right side from the beginning, who always knew where he belonged, who went to war and gave it his all—so much that he ended up in prison.
Sirius Black, who escapes Azkaban only to end up in another prison. The one who, locked in his family home, starts to see things for what they are. The one who is no longer a help but a hindrance. The one who is just a ticking time bomb for a Dumbledore who never gave a damn about his zeal for the fight. Sirius Black, who suddenly finds himself facing that same half-blood he used to insult, to hit, to hunt down like a predator after its daily meal. There he is, with them. Severus Snape, the Dark Arts freak, the greasy-haired, Malfoy’s lapdog, the one who followed the pureblood supremacists and bears the Dark Mark. The same Severus Snape who was a Death Eater and followed Voldemort, now stands as Dumbledore’s right-hand man.
And Dumbledore trusts him more than anyone. Trusts him so much that, although neither Lupin, Tonks, nor Moody like having him among their ranks, no one dares say a word against him. Only Sirius speaks up, and when he does, everyone scolds him. Because he’s no longer Snivellus; now he’s Snape. He’s a double agent. He’s someone important. He’s a rook, a bishop, a knight, while the others are mere pawns.
Sirius Black wonders why. Why, if he did everything right, if he stood up to his family, if he always defended what was right, he’s now reduced to a broken toy confined to isolation while that piece of shit who did everything wrong is the one who has Dumbledore’s favor. Because Sirius was always one of the good ones, and Severus was one of the bad ones. Because tormenting and mistreating him was justified. But then he realizes it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter who’s good or bad in a war; what matters is how useful you are to those who wage them.
And he has become useless, while Severus is a key piece. And that is the best revenge Severus could have had for all the years of abuse he endured: for Sirius to realize, in the last months of his life, that all his efforts to rebel had meant nothing. In a war against power structures, the aristocratic boy never has a place.*

Harry Potter, the “Perfect Victim” mentality, and the fandom’s treatment of him in Order of the Phoenix
“Harry is an asshole in Order of the Phoenix!”
“Harry is so unlikable in book 5.”
“My enjoyment of Order of the Phoenix was killed by Harry’s attitude.”
Odds are that if you are part of the Harry Potter fandom, you’ve seen a version of these sentiments echoed many times. A large part of the fanbase seems to hate Harry in this one book, even going as far as ranking this book last in book rankings because they can’t stand his “attitude”
But in this book, Harry is suffering from severe C-PTSD. He meets all of the diagnostic criteria, and it’s clear that he’s struggling immensely throughout this book. But there seems to be a lack of empathy for Harry in this book. Why?
The “Perfect Victim” Mentality
For those who do not know, the “perfect victim” is a mentality where people seem to only believe and/or empathize with victims of trauma if the person is a “perfect victim.”
But what is a “perfect victim”? Since we will be focusing on the treatment of Harry after his trauma, I’ll be focusing on the perfect victim mentality post trauma
A “perfect victim’s” trauma isn’t visible from the outside, and if it is, it only results in the victim crying and having nightmares. All of their trauma just results in them being sad and anxious after their trauma. All of the messy parts of PTSD are not present
Harry is not a perfect victim
As you can tell from the description above, Harry is not a perfect victim (because no one is). Harry gets angry and screams at his friends. He becomes hyper vigilante; always ready to pull his wand out and fight to defend himself. He keeps his wand tightly in his hand around Snape or Malfoy. His PTSD is what actual PTSD looks like, not the “acceptable” trauma response looks like
There is definitely an empathy gap between Goblet of Fire (when Harry gets his trauma) to Order of the Phoenix. Because honestly, in Goblet of Fire, one could argue Harry was a perfect victim. He is weaker than Voldemort, he was vulnerable, he fought back, he reported it immediately. That fits the criteria for perfect victim when the trauma actually happens. Yes, in universe by Fudge he’s not a victim at all for specific reasons, but we, as the audience that actually saw what happened, he comes across a perfect victim
Even in Goblet of Fire afterwards, Harry is still a perfect victim post-graveyard. His trauma results in him being sad and distant for the rest of the school year. As I stated above, that is the perfect victim’s response to trauma
This is why the audience has no trouble feeling empathy for Harry at the end of book 4. He was a child who got kidnapped, watched someone be killed and tortured by someone much older, stronger and more powerful than him. He tells someone (Dumbledore) what happened as soon as he got back. And then he spends the small amount of time at Hogwarts being sad and disassociating. What happened to him, and his response, is easy to digest, so everyone feels bad for him
But then in Order of the Phoenix, when the PTSD truly sets in, Harry is no longer a perfect victim. He gets angry and lashes out, at Dudley at first, then Ron and Hermione later, and then Dumbledore way later. He is ready to defend himself at all times, thinking about cursing Dudley, clutching his wand in Potions, etc. Suddenly, the messy parts of his PTSD rise to the surface
The fandom’s treatment of Harry in Order of the Phoenix
This causes the fandom to say all kinds of things about OOTP: That Harry is cold, Harry is a bully to Ron and Hermione, Harry is unsympathtic
The fandom’s treatment of him does a 180 compared to Goblet of Fire, because his trauma is no longer digestible. He is no longer a perfect victim, so he no longer gets empathy
I think this plays into why people say they like the movie more. In the movie, Harry stays a perfect victim. The movies remove him screaming at Ron and Hermione, remove his anger and jumpiness, remove him destroying Dumbledore’s office. He is just sad and distant. The movie’s were afraid to show just how deep Harry’s PTSD is in favor of the perfect victim narrative and in turn, people prefer the movie
The most disturbing thing about this is the implication behind it. If people can’t even have empathy for a fictional child, who is the main character of the most beloved children’s series of all time, who got kidnapped and tortured, what does that say about their response to real people who have trauma?

ok so
y'kno when Severus gives umbridge his silly, unserious little bow?
He absolutely did it to petunia too at least once growing up. He gave her that same silly, infuriating little bow.
I'm saying that those silly, playful, childish little moments in his behavior are the tiniest glimpses of the boy he once was, back before his spirit and playfulness was beaten out of him by the world.

Oooh you would absolutely nail 'Sirius passing the mirror and looking at his father's face' with your drawing skills 😍

Tagging @impishtubist who asked ages ago for: “Sirius’s slutty slutty waistcoat and watch chain from the OotP movie.” So here’s Sirius in his OotP clothes which I am going to assume are Daddy’s. And then walking by a mirror. Which I could turn into something interesting but here’s a sketch of something to tide you over til then.
