summary: after being forced to stay home from hogsmeade as your funds fall at 0, you and cedric find other ways to pass the time.
cw: oral (fem receiving)
Tumblr media
you puff your cheeks, watching the girls run around the dorm, coin purses in hand. you're draped over your bed, hair hanging as you lay upside down.
"Are you certain you don't want to join us, y/n?" one of your roommates ask and you sigh
"what do you think I get with one sickle?" you ask before pursing your lips in performative thought, the girl laughs before tying her scarf around her neck, your houses color vibrant as she waves goodbye
"I'll keep an eye out for you! bye!" and just like that the door shuts and you're left to stare at your purse that's filled with one sickle because you couldn't stop your spending before Hogsmeade.
you groan before sitting up to plant face first into your sheets, your bare legs shiver from the open window and you pull your skirt farther to try and warm yourself
"Whats going on here?" you jump to see an ever-so-smug cedric leaning on the bedpost in front of you, you squeal and jump up, asking why your boyfriend broke into your room
"Wanted to check on you, heard you're not coming to Hogsmeade. thought you weren't feeling well" he mumbles as he walks toward you
"I'm fine, just poor" he snorts, laying back on your bed as you crawl to him
"can't believe you missed Hogsmeade just to check on me" you hiss, and his chest vibrates at your lack of praise for his good manners
"goodness, y/n" he sighs, running his fingers through his hair and you hang over him, trying read what he wont tell you
"you are very hard to please, aren't you?" he purrs
"not if you're looking in the right places." you whisper, he only fully understands your position when his eyes move down, hands wrap around your hips as his eyes darken
you grin and he flips you over, giggles escape you as he peppers kisses down your neck
his large hands roam your thighs and soon, your panties are being pulled down
he comes up to see you to connect his lips with yours before dragging himself back down and hiding under your skirt
you gasp as his tongue lays flat on your open cunt, slowly dragging up your warmth and he moans into your core
"you're delicious" he whispers before digging in once more, lapping at you, as you squirm above him. tears edge on your lids as your hips get pulled closer by him as he makes out with your pussy
you're losing your mind now, eyes rolling back as his tongue circles your clit before flicking the bud viciously
you cry out to him as you release and he laps at your cream like it is the best thing he's ever had.
once he is done, he kisses all over your core and thighs before unveiling himself from your skirt, chin glistening with the biggest grin you've ever seen on him.
"I'm so glad you're poor"

Harry Potter
Harry's day takes an unexpected turn when Seamus casually mentions that the younger student, who's always been kind and friendly to him, might have a crush on him. At first, he laughs it off, thinking it's just a rumor, but when Ron confirms that he's heard the same thing, Harry’s heart starts racing. He can’t help but replay every interaction with you in his head, realizing there might have been subtle hints he missed. Harry isn't sure what to do; part of him is flattered, and another part is nervous. He’s always admired your kindness and intelligence, and now, knowing how you feel, he becomes more aware of his own feelings. Over the next few days, Harry starts paying closer attention to you, growing more awkward but also more interested, trying to figure out his next move.
Ron Weasley
Ron overhears some third-years gossiping about how you, the girl from his study group, have a bit of a crush on him. He immediately goes red, both from embarrassment and the unfamiliarity of the situation. He's never been great at reading signals, so the thought that someone likes him catches him off guard. At first, he brushes it off, thinking it must be a joke, but when Hermione reassures him that it’s true, he can’t stop thinking about it. The next time he sees you in the common room, he’s noticeably flustered, fumbling his words and trying to act cool, which only makes him more endearing. Despite his awkwardness, Ron can’t help but feel a little pleased, and over time, he starts to warm up to the idea, maybe even considering how to approach you about it.
Draco Malfoy
Draco is lounging in the Slytherin common room when Pansy Parkinson, with a sly grin, tells him that a younger Gryffindor girl has a crush on him. At first, he scoffs, dismissing it as irrelevant, but later, when he realizes it’s you—a girl he’s actually noticed for your sharp wit and surprising bravery—he becomes intrigued. Draco isn't one to openly show interest, but now, every time he sees you in the corridors or during meals, he’s more aware of your presence. He might tease you more, dropping subtle hints to see how you react, trying to gauge your feelings. Though he maintains his cool exterior, Draco can’t help but feel a thrill at the idea of someone like you liking him, and he starts thinking about how to use this to his advantage, or perhaps, how he might actually feel about you.
Neville Longbottom
Neville is in the library when he overhears some girls from your year talking about how you have a crush on him. His immediate reaction is disbelief; he’s never considered himself someone people would have a crush on. Nervously adjusting his collar, Neville tries to focus on his Herbology notes, but he can’t stop thinking about it. He’s always liked you—how could he not? You’re kind, and your encouragement during classes has always meant a lot to him. But now, knowing you might feel the same way, Neville starts to become more confident around you. He’ll blush whenever you’re near but will also make more of an effort to talk to you, even inviting you to study sessions in the greenhouse. Though he’s shy, Neville is secretly thrilled, and the thought of you liking him makes him smile more than usual.
Cedric Diggory
Cedric is chatting with his Hufflepuff friends when one of them mentions that you, a sweet younger student from Ravenclaw, have a bit of a crush on him. He’s flattered, of course—he’s used to a bit of attention—but the thought of you, someone he’s always admired for your intelligence and grace, having feelings for him makes him pause. Cedric is the type to handle this situation with kindness and maturity. The next time he sees you, he’ll go out of his way to be friendly, making sure you feel comfortable around him. He might even drop a few hints that he’s aware of your feelings, just to see how you react. Cedric would be careful not to lead you on if he wasn’t interested, but in this case, he finds himself considering the possibility of getting to know you better, as your crush on him sparks something within himself.
Fred Weasley
Fred is busy planning a prank with George when Lee Jordan casually drops the bomb that you have a crush on him. Fred’s reaction is immediate—he grins widely, his eyes sparkling with mischief. He’s always liked you; after all, you’re fun to be around and have a sharp sense of humor. But now, knowing that you like him back, Fred is going to make the most of it. The next time he sees you, he’s teasing you more than ever, dropping playful hints and watching with delight as you blush. Fred isn’t one to be subtle, so you might find little jokes or pranks with double meanings aimed your way. But beneath the fun and games, Fred’s genuinely pleased and interested, and he starts looking for ways to spend more time with you, always with that signature Weasley charm.
George Weasley
George finds out from Angelina that you have a crush on him, and his reaction is a mix of surprise and amusement. He’s always thought you were a cool person, but now, knowing you like him, he can’t help but feel a bit shy—though he’ll never admit it. Unlike Fred, George is more low-key in his approach. He’ll still joke around with you, but his teasing becomes a bit more affectionate, and he might try to find moments where it’s just the two of you. George is more thoughtful than his twin, so he’ll start to notice the little things about you that he hadn’t before, and he might even drop by your common room to say hi more often. Though he keeps things lighthearted, George’s actions show he’s interested, and he’s thinking about how to take things a step further.
Oliver Wood
Oliver is coming off the Quidditch pitch when a teammate mentions that you’ve been seen watching the practices more often, and that you might have a crush on him. Oliver is immediately intrigued. He’s so focused on Quidditch that he hasn’t noticed much else, but now, he’s paying attention. He remembers how you’ve always been supportive, cheering for the team, and he’s flattered. The next time he sees you, he’s extra charming, asking if you’d like to join the team for a post-practice hangout. Oliver is confident and direct, so he might just ask you outright if the rumors are true, but he does it with a playful smile to keep things light. If he finds out you do like him, Oliver’s quick to make his interest known too, inviting you to more Quidditch-related activities and finding excuses to spend time with you outside of the game.

Request: Cedric Diggory x Ravenclaw!fem!reader
Plot: Them being cutesy in the corridors and around campus, but instead of the teachers minding, they coo and cheer for the couple?
(professors I thought of specifically would be McGonagall, Sprout-especially bc Ced is in her house-Trelawney, and even Professor Binns)
No disturbances - Cedric Diggory
Tumblr media
People never really had the opportunity to wonder if you were dating or not, because the little (or big) displays of affection between you and Cedric had started out from the second you'd become a couple. Hand holding in the hallways was quite common, especially when walking each other to classes, and shared kisses on the field after a Quidditch victory was inevitable, not a shadow of shyness despite all students and teachers being there to witness the rather intimate moment. Surprisingly, your fellow classmates had a bigger issue with your relationship than the teachers did, gossiping about you no matter how far away you were.
'Did you hear that they've been together for half a year now? I was convinced he'd cheat on her by now. ' or even,
'I swear she's spoken to other boys while they've been together though?'
Despite all the talk from those who knew nothing of your relationship, you continued acting as you usually would, linking arms while leading each other through the crowded hallways and having intimate picnics by the black lake on days where the sun shone bright. Cedric, ever so proud of being able to call you his girlfriend, grins widely at teachers every time they cross you in the halls, though you shyly duck your head away, avoiding the intimidating eye contact with those you respect so much.
It was only one night when you'd been making your way down the halls way passed curfew that you thought you'd definitely lose all your 'turning a blind eye privilege' from the teachers. Clad in your warm pyjamas, you'd been making your way down to the Hufflepuff common room. You'd sighed in relief when you turned the last corner to get to the common room, the risk of bumping into teachers or prefects significantly increased due to how far both common rooms were. It was only when you walked further down the corridor that you saw the two figures approaching you, and you froze. It was too late to try to hide or run.
Right in front of the Hufflepuff common room entrance stood Professor McGonagall and Professor Sprout, doing their rounds together for students out of bed. Your eyes widened and your jaw went slack, watching as the two older women realised your intentions. A sly smile made its way onto Professor Sprout's face as she chuckled quietly, Professor McGonagall only raising her eyebrows at you in mock surprise. At that same moment, the entrance to the common room opened, revealing your very own boyfriend standing in sweatpants and a Hufflepuff jumper.
"Oh shit." He whispered, eyes widening at the scene. You laughed awkwardly, looking down at your feet. "I didn't see anything." You heard Professor McGonagall mumble as she turned back around to walk down the corridor. Your head shot up at her comment, confusion overtaking you. Professor Sprout followed her movements, adding "Didn't see what?" Giving you the opportunity to run into the common room, all blood having rushed to your face.

A/N: something ab writing for an angry hufflepuff really saved my soul. she is SO valid. maybe i’m her. (also this song eats away at my brain, so i had to write ab it… naturally) gif creds: @frodo-sam
Pairings: Cedric Diggory x Fem!Grumpy!Hufflepuff!Reader
Summary: Well, he’s not the toughest hickory that your axe has ever felled // But he’s a hickory just as well 1.5k words
Warnings: fluff, cursing, two idiots very much in love, pining, angry hufflepuff, dumb/embarassed reader (lovingly), golden retriever cedric, quidditch injury mention
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
How could you look so beautiful drenched by the pouring rain, hovering ten meters in the air, goggles suctioned to your face, barking orders at the rest of the team like a drill sergeant? It’d always make him wonder. And midgame, that’s a silly thing to do. Which is exactly why he’s doing it.
You’re the angriest girl Cedric’s ever met. World class beater and a great captain, but you’ve got serious anger issues. The guys have started calling you boxer because you’re always on the verge of a scrap. Cedric has seen you chew out almost every position on the team. Except him. You’ve never yelled at him, you barely even look in his direction on a good day. Yet, for some inexplicable reason, he wants you to yell at him.
Well, not entirely inexplicable. Now would be the best time to mention he’s got a huge crush on you. In fact, he’s had a crush on you since you became team captain. You’ve always been pretty, but something about the title and the power really commanded his attention.
Which is precisely why he needs you to yell at him. He craves it. He’s been waiting all year for you to tell him he’s an idiot and that he’s doing everything wrong. But you won’t. And desperate times call for very desperate measures.
He’s barely dodging bludgers, not even trying for the snitch, doing party tricks in front of the stands, anything for you to glance his way. And then he goes and gets knocked off his broom. Luckily, he wasn’t too high in the air and he wasn’t flying too fast. The worst that happened was he got the wind knocked out of him. The best? You marching toward him like a sicced dog.
You kneel at his side, goggles loose around your neck as you coo, “are you okay?”
What? No, this is all wrong, you’re supposed to call him stupid, say that next time he’s off the team. Not ask if he’s okay.
Cedric nods and you help him sit up, signalling to the stadium that he’s alright. A cheer rips through the crowd.
“Can you play?” you huff, patting his back softly. He’s got butterflies.
“Yeah,” he says. When you get him on his feet, he almost wishes you won’t let go. And he suddenly remembers you’re much prettier up close, and his heart nearly gives out.
“Good sport, Diggory,” you tease, hopping back on your broom, “Back to work!”
It’d take a brain injury to get your attention.
The game goes off without a hitch: Cedric goes back to actually trying for the snitch and wins Hufflepuff the game. He’s a little disappointed he hsan’t given you anything else to be upset about. So once the celebration is over, he catches you outside of the locker rooms.
“Why didn’t you get mad at me?” Cedric asks, jogging to catch you as you head back towards the dorms. You don’t respond, but he’s sure you heard him. So he nudges your shoulder. “Come on, boxer, I’ve seen you angry, I’m prepared.”
You stop dead in your tracks, and he slows to a stop just behind you. Then you turn to face him, and he’s never seen your glare so intense.
“Listen, Diggory, you’re smart, you’ve got talent, and I trust you to perform well on this team. So I can’t for the life of me understand why you go out on that field just to dick around.”
You’re serious. Not angry, just serious. You’ve got this calm and collected tone that drives him absolutely up-the-wall insane. But he wants you to yell.
“You have plenty of adoring fans tracking your every move, you don’t have to pull dumb shit to get people to like you. You could’ve gotten yourself hurt or killed, understand? So I advise you put your team and your safety before your reputation,” you say, storming off with your bag slung over your shoulder.
And it gets him kind of worked up because obviously, he wouldn’t have done any of it if it weren’t for you. You and your stupidly selective anger issues. And your stupid smile.
“Hold on,” he hollers, still half drunk on the idea of being subject to your rage, “you think I don’t put this team at the top of all of my lists? Clearly, I love this stupid sport or I wouldn’t put so much damn time and effort into it!”
“If you love this sport, act like it.” Your jaw ticks before you march through the doorway, leaving him flustered in the mist of the courtyard.
He’s giving it one last go. If you won’t get angry with him, maybe he ought to just confess his feelings outright. This feels like the most rational he’s ever been. He even combed his hair extra carefully in hopes of you noticing.
Your friends quiet down when he approaches you in the mess hall, small flower pinched between his fingers, grin plastered across his face. You look a little annoyed but he’s pretty sure it’s just shock. And suddenly it feels like grade school when they all burst into giggles.
“This is for you—”
“Diggory.”
He cocks a brow. “Yeah?”
You grab the sleeve of his robes and drag him out into the hall, near slamming him into the stone wall. So much for his combed hair.
“What was that back there?” you hiss, “What’s wrong with you?”
“Well. I brought you a flower. It’s from the field—”
“I can see that!”—you’re frenzied searhcing for any possible explanation other than he has a head injury from falling—“Explain to me why.”
He looks confused and presents the flower again.“Isn’t it obvious?”
You look down at the flower. It’s small and white and looks so delicate in his hand. And you look at him. You suppose his pupils are a little extra dilated. “Are you poisoned? Or drunk?”
“No!”
You finally let go of him to gesture wildly. “Then what, Cedric—Merlin’s beard—What???”
“I brought you a flower,” he coos, tilting his head. You press two fingers to the bridge of your nose.
“Yeah, I got that part—”
“Hold on—hasn’t anyone ever given you something nice because… they like you?” Cedric hums, shuffling closer to you. Your eyes are glued to the tiny flower, but you won’t take it. Then you glare up at him.
“Is this a joke? Did the twins put you up to it?”
“No, just take the flower! I like you!” He sounds dastardly jovial, taking your wrist in one hand and presisng the flower to your palm with the other.
“What?” you scoff. Still staring down at the flower, making him wish his face was made of them so you’d look at him like that.
“Yeah,” he sighs.
And then you look at him. In the eyes. Perplexed, brows knitted, but you’re looking right at him and he could faint. Maybe it is a head injury.
“But I’m not… I’m not like…”
“Like what?” he asks.
“Well, it’s just—I’m confused because… you like pretty girls, and I’m not… that’s not what I do—am. What I am.”
“You’ve got to be joking,” he huffs.
“Cho is pretty,” you state.
“You’re pretty.”
“No, Cedric, I play quidditch. If I was pretty, I’d have a boyfriend,” you reason, shrugging your shoulders and giving him a real run for his money.
“And those things are connected… how?”
You scoff and relax a little when he puts his hands on his hips. So what if he’s incredibly handsome. So what if your friends want to see you together. So what if he’s the one person you don’t want to rip to shreds. It’s not like any of that matters. Right?
“It makes sense!” you say.
“No, it doesn’t. Can I be your boyfriend?”
“Diggory, don’t—”
“Is that a no?”
“Well, no! But you’re being rash! You’ll change your mind, and you’ll want your flower back!”
He shakes his head. “No. I gave you a flower because I think you’re very wonderful and very beautiful and I want to be your boyfriend.”
“But…”—he’s very amused by the fact that he’s made you flustered—“I sweat a lot!”
“So do I,” he chuckles, “we do play quidditch together, I hope you know.”
“Okay, okay, fine. We… argue!” you chirp.
“And you’re almost always right! Problem solved,” he says, “Now, would you be my girlfriend or do I have to get down on my knees?”
“No! I mean, yes! No, no, no knees, just… yes. I will be your girlfriend.”
Cedric smirks, taking the flower from your still open palm and tucking it behind your ear. Yesterday, he could barely say hello to you, and now he’s pulling you closer and tilting your chin up. His heart flutters when you palm his waist, and you smile when he leans a little closer.
“Are you going to kiss me?” you hum. He chuckles.
“Only if you’d like.”
You roll your eyes and smile. “Naturally.”

cedric diggory x fem!hufflepuff!reader
taylor swift series: part one
⊹ ‧₊˚ ౨ৎ masterlist ₊ ⊹
summary: everybody wants him, everybody wonders what it would be like to love him, but he loves you. (inspired by taylor swift’s gold rush!!!)
warnings: lil bit of angst, self-pity, mentions of alcohol, FLUFF <3
words: 1.8k
Tumblr media
what must it be like to grow up that beautiful?
cedric diggory. the prefect of hufflepuff. the captain of the hufflepuff quidditch team. your best friend. but that was all he was... a friend.
the secret you bore that you had fallen in love with him along the way of your friendship had burned a hole into your heart, believing that deep down that he was never destined to fall for you.
sure, you'd hoped things would slowly work out in your favor. but in your eyes, it didn't seem very likely.
but to (almost) everyone else, his eyes were only on you.
everyone knew from the moment you and cedric were seen running around the halls together on the first day you were both sorted into hufflepuff that the two of you were completely enamored with one another. it could be seen in many other ways throughout the years.
cedric was a gentleman to everyone of course, but to you? he was an absolute angel. the way he'd listen to every word you had to say even if it was the most ridiculous, hold your books for you in between classes, skip his classes and take care of you if you were sick, just the way he looked at you… you swore the glint in his eyes had felt so much different. but you’d also considered that you’ve just gone completely mad…
you noticed his gestures of course, but you thought that was just cedric's nature. he was a hufflepuff wasn't he? well, he was practically the face of hufflepuff. at hogwarts, mostly everyone wasn't 100% of their house, but you were convinced cedric was the only true hufflepuff.
the girls hoarding around cedric never helped, but you never noticed the way he acted around them. uncomfortable. and not so much entertaining them, but more-so feeling guilty for them (and also because he's a a major pushover).
with the tri-wizard competition and with cedric as a champion, the crowds piled around him. not just girls, but hufflepuffs who wanted to bash around in his glory.
you missed him. you didn't even want him to put his name in the stupid goblet to begin with, but you couldn’t bare the look of disappointment on his face when you didn’t approve of it. he thought the world of you. he wanted to do this for you, to prove that he could finally make the house you shared worthy of the limelight, to make him worth of you…. but you didn’t know that yet.
but now, every chance you had to spend with him was always ruined by the crowds stealing him away. everyday for a week since then he’d been pulled away from you. his usual spot next to you in the great hall remained empty and no one else had come to claim it, your friends knowing it was his spot. well other people tried… like when ernie didn’t make it time to be cedric’s little side-kick, he’d try to squeeze himself in beside you, but everyone hollered him off when you didn’t have the heart to.
you’d seen cedric make the effort. every single time he did, but he would be pulled away by his growing posse. sometimes you’d just wish you were able to scream, yell, or even simply ask him to stay loud enough to be heard over the boys and their banter, but alas, it never worked in your favor. you also wished that he would tell his friends that he wanted to stay back and just have at least one second with you. just one conversation. but every time he managed to get out a word of retort, his cheeks had gone so red and his voice in a fit of stutters that he’d just let his growing group lead him elsewhere.
you noticed the girls. of course you did. how could you not?
it’s not like girls had never craved the attention of cedric diggory, but after his name shot out of goblet of fire, it’d almost been too much for you.
the girls, especially those from beauxbatons, stared and erupted giggles every time he’d passed by and sent glares at you whenever he’d try and stop to talk to you, but those were always quickly interrupted by his herd of new friends. even anthony, his bestest friend, had grown tired of the crowds and relinquished back to his normal spot the great hall, matching your sighs whenever you’d hear the crowd boast over him.
one night, when you had just managed to finish hours worth of work on a history of magic paper, once you were satisfied, you let yourself bury into the covers of your bed. it was a friday night and there was a party in the hufflepuff common room to celebrate cedric once again, but you were exhausted. you’d purposefully planned to be cooped up in your room all night while the rest of your school mates partied away. no one would miss me surely.
knock knock.
you were tempted to just lay there, pretend you were asleep in hopes they would leave you to your solitude, but the fits of knocks didn’t stop and they soon turned to mutters that would make your heart almost stop completely.
“y/n? y/n/n? you awake?” cedric. even in his slightly drunken state, he was soft-spoken, only gently knocking and whispering in case you hadn’t been awake.
any other time, you would’ve gotten up immediately. but after this week, you were hesitant. it wasn’t his fault. really, it wasn’t. you couldn’t help the built up insecurities and the fact that cedric didn’t have time for you anymore. he always did before, but this time, there was just too much in the way, too many people watching his every move and wanting every bit of attention just as you did.
just as you were sure he’d left, you heard a soft huff and an odd noise hitting your door.
when you finally made your way to open the door, you slid it open gently, seeing cedric leaning up against it, sliding alongside it while you cracked it open.
you gasped at the site, grabbing cedric’s hand with the two of yours and hauling him up. “ced?” you grunted, struggling as you pulled him. “why are you here?”
“wanted to see you.” his cheeks were flushed red. he’d been drinking. not quite a lot. you knew when he’d gotten to his breaking point. right now, he’d only had a couple shots in fire whiskey him, otherwise he would’ve been completely knocked out and unintelligible. “why didn’t you come down?”
his speech was hardly slurred, he just seemed really tired.
“um…” the paper excuse sounded lame. were you really holing yourself up in your dorm all because a boy hadn’t given you his undivided attention? that excuse would never hear the light of day, but even then, you knew it was pathetic. “was tired…” now that was even more pathetic.
you sat over on your four poster bed and he followed in suit, but instead of sitting, he fiddled with the curtains, as if he’d seemed more interested in the velvet fabric than you. no. he was distracting himself. he was just as nervous as you were.
your eyes went to his, then to your twiddling hands. a moment of silence had aired throughout your dorm. then you felt a dip on your bed.
“y/n/n ‘m sorry.” you looked up, his cheeks reaching even deeper level of pink. once your eyes met his, he was a stuttering mess. “it’s just—the tournament. i-i know you didn’t want me doing it and-and i don’t know i didn’t think i’d really get picked you know? then…” he made an explosion sound with his mouth and you struggled not to stifle up a giggle. you loved when he was so nervous that he just rambled on to no end and you didn’t dare to stop him just yet.
he continued on, “and i just got caught up in it? like i’d won a quidditch match, but times a hundred. maybe a thousand? and-and i didn’t want to disappoint anyone… even if the crowds are a lot. overwhelms me a bit… just wanted to hang out with you.” you looked up at him, debating whether to speak up yet. you didn’t.
“merlin, i feel horrible…” he got up from your bed and started pacing around your room. “you didn’t even want me to put my name in that cup to begin with, but my dad… he’d sounded so proud in his letter when i told him about it. i couldn’t let him down. but then you… i shouldn’t have put in.”
he continued on, “i just thought… that perhaps… i could make your proud. you always talk about how hufflepuff gets no recognition.”
me? but why?
“and i know that you didn’t even want me entering the stupid thing in the first place… but i didn’t wanna let you down.” he huffed, finally sitting back down, his fingers still fidgeting.
“you could never do that.” you simply said. it was true. there was nothing he could do that would ever disappoint you. it was quite infuriating.
“i feel like i-i already have.” that’s when you placed your hand on his, grasping his fingers to stop his nerves.
“it’s not your fault.” it really wasn’t. but you struggled to find the words as to why as you found as fingers playing with your own.
“it is. the crowds… i wanted to tell them to shove off, but i just didn’t wanna let anyone down. it’s stupid…” one of his hands found its way to his hair, tending to one of his nasty habits. once he nervously pulled at his hair and squinted his eyes shut, you finally found the words.
“it’s my fault too.” you said, he shook his head in defense. no. i mean… i know how overwhelmed you get and i feel terrible for not realizing that soon enough. look at you! you’re a mess and i-i wish i could’ve been there. but the crowd and the people and i just-i just thought..” you felt even embarrassed to say it out loud. “you didn’t need me anymore.” you finally let out.
you could feel his eyes on you. that’s when he used his other hand to lift up your chin, bringing your wandering eyes up to his.
“i’ll always need you. look at where i’m at without you.” he chuckled, his cheeks flushing an even brighter red.
“yeah… drunk and crawling up the girl’s dormitory stairs.” you giggled. “how’d you even manage the counter-spell?”
his eyebrows furrowed, a look of confusion on his face. “i don’t quite remember…?”
“you’re not even that drunk!”
“and how do you know that?” he challenged.
“well, first of all, you managed to make it all the way up here. and second, you’re not completely incoherent.”
“yeah…” he admitted. “party’s no fun without you. i’d much rather stay here with you.” your cheeks reddened.
“well, then stay. i’ll make you a tea.” you were surprised you didn’t make a complete mess of your words.
you swiftly got up off your bed, grabbing a mug from your shelf and then a kettle, using aguamenti and then a simple water-heating charm afterwards.
“chamomile and honey?”

Glorious
a/n: I'm so sad that I accidentally lost the request for this! Long story short, I posted the unfinished story instead of saving it to my drafts, so I deleted it. It's been too long since I last posted and I promise I'll try to do so more often!! Also, this is my first time writing smut, so sorry if it's terrible!
Request: Cedric smut after quidditch practice
Pairing: Cedric Diggory x Female! Reader
Warnings: smut (obviously), switch! Cedric (mostly sub), switch! Reader (mostly dom), unprotected sex (wrap it before you tap it, people!!), edging, orgasm denial, friends cockblocking ced (poor baby), dirty talk, slight breeding kink, praise and degradation.
Word count: I have no idea, but A LOT. More than I expected, to be honest. I want to say 4k of smut? (Don't come at me, I'm horny)
If you like this, reblog or (if you can and want to) buy me a coffee!
Tumblr media
Glorious.
That was the word that came to mind as the one and only Cedric Diggory flew after the snitch. Autumn had just begun but summer has left its heat. And that left Cedric shirtless during training.
He was far away from where you sat, but his lean muscles glowed under the sun, leaving goosebumps on your skin despite the heatwave.
With or without a shirt, seeing your boyfriend train was a huge turn-on. His brows furrowed in concentration, his muscles straining to stay balanced on the broom, his agility and keen eye, the competitiveness of it all.
Of course, in the end, it was just a bunch if people playing with balls of all shapes and sizes. You were particularly a big fan of fondling in the bedroom, so why not cheer your boyfriend on while he did the same?
'Ok, maybe not the same. But we can't all be athletic.' You thought, just as Cedric laid eyes on the snitch.
"Come on, Ced!" You cheered, jumping up and down in the stands along with some of the other player's significant others and Hufflepuff supporters.
He flew quicker by the second, reaching out into the clouds. The golden ball was fast, but Cedric was faster. Soon enough, he caught the snitch and both teams went wild for their seeker.
Even though it was just a practice game, you cheered and jumped. Cedric caught your eyes from the other side of the field and flew toward you.
Every game he did the same thing, it became your tradition. The moment he caught the snitch, he flew your way for a celebratory kiss before touching the ground to cheer with his teammates.
"Hello, darling" he said with a huge grin before connecting his lips with yours.
Cedric deepened the kiss, urging you to part your lips with a brush of his tongue. You felt the saltiness as you swiped your own against his lips, but you didn't mind.
His warm tongue connected with yours a second later, causing a tingling sensation between your legs.
Cedric pulled away entirely too quickly, leaving you closed-eyed and chasing his lips. With a cocky grin and a wink, he flew down to where his team had already started removing their gear.
He would definitely pay for his teasing later. For now, you hiked your skirt a bit higher and went to meet him beside the locker rooms.
The two of you locked eyes and you made sure to sway your hips a bit more. His gaze scanned your body hungrily.
Due to the warm weather, you had removed your socks and tie, as well as opened your shirt. It hadn't been on purpose, but you were glad you did. If looks could kill, you'd be splayed and torn apart on Cedric's dick. Your thighs squeezed together in anticipation.
"(y/n)! Wait!" Exclaimed Luna, trotting down the bleachers.
You cursed under your breath and Cedric laughed before going into the changing rooms.
You loved Luna, she was one of your closest friends, but reading the room was definitely not one of her strong suits.
"Hi" she sighed, going in for a tight hug.
"Hey, Luna" you hugged her back just as tightly.
"Would you like to study potions later? I could use your help"
"Sure." You answered, starting down the stairs again, Luna trailing beside you "Lake or library?"
"Oh, library. The lake has too many distractions, I have to stay focused this time."
"Alright, after Snape’s class?"
"Yes, that will work perfectly." She nodded, wrote it down on her hand and turned to leave before glancing back with a smirk "have a nice time with Cedric, but do try not to get caught."
You stood there gobsmacked.
Purposely cockblocked by Luna Lovegood.
You laughed before heading towards the locker room.
Two players headed out, waving your way, as you leaned against the wall opposite of where Cedric was.
Fifteen more minutes went by and three players had left. You crossed your arms and sighed.
'What in Merlin's name is taking so long?' You asked yourself, patience growing thinner by the minute.
When your watch marked twenty-five minutes since the players went in, the 6th player left and Cedric was still nowhere to be found.
You decided to wait five more minutes.
'You're just being impatient. Calm the hell down, (y/n)' you told yourself, taking a deep breath.
But 30 minutes was too much. Not for you, but for Cedric. He bathes like there's a ticking time bomb in the showers.
'Is he hurt?' The thought crossed your mind and your feet lead you inside.
The air was humid and hot around you.
"Cedric?" You whisper-yelled "I swear to Merlin, if you're dead in here, I'll kill you."
A groan made you stop in your tracks.
"Cedric?" You called out, moving towards the deep breathing.
Rounding the corner, you found a sight picked straight out of your dirtiest maladaptive daydreams.
Your boyfriend was naked and wet. Cedric's left hand tried to grip the wall, beads of water trailing down his tense biceps and lower. It flowed down his torso and lower even, to where his right hand held a tight grip around his cock, pumping up and down in a slow and sensual pace.
"Took you long enough" he said, a smirk on his face.
Striding towards him, you smirked right back. Removing your uniform and shoes, then, ever so slowly, your underwear. A groaning Cedric quickened his pace at the sight of you.
You entered the shower, closing the water, as Cedric released his dick and grabbed your waist, pulling you into him.
He went straight for your lips, just as slow and sensual as his former pace.
Your hands went separate ways. One towards his hair, that pulled the short strands back to break the kiss. The other wrapped around his arousal, stroking till the tip.
The mixture of both sensations had Cedric moaning your name fervently.
"Who said you could start without me?" You whispered in his ear.
"Didn't mean to, didn't think you'd take this long to come find me" he replied, kissing your neck right where he knew your knees would go weak.
"You'll still have to pay for your hastiness."
"You know I love your punishments, darling" he grins and catches your lips in a passionate kiss. Tongues circling, teeth clashing and bodies drawing impossibly closer.
Your hand started stroking his swollen flesh again, drawling low and soft moans from his lips.
"I know, love." You soothed, but your hand only moved faster, your grip tighter.
A string of curses escaped his lips.
"(y/n)" he whimpered.
"You're so close, aren't you?" You cooed.
"So close, so close" he answered frantically.
"Not quite yet, I can't let you off the hook that easily." You said, halting your movements.
He let out a dissapointed groan.
"Don't be ungrateful, darling." You teased, "You'll come soon enough"
A bead of pre-cum leaked from his tip. You gathered it in your thumb and brought it to your lips, sucking the saltiness seductively.
Cedric's pupils were blown wide and an almost primal look took over his features.
You grabbed his neck and kissed him with everything you had, doing all the things you knew would drive him wild, then pulled away. He was left closed eyed, chasing your lips.
But you hadn't had all your fun yet. With a grin on your face, you turned around and headed towards your clothes.
"Darling?" he asked.
You ignored him, putting on your shirt and probably missing a few buttons in the process. You saw Cedric grab his towel, a confused look on his face. You put on your skirt and threw your lace underwear his way. He grabbed them with slightly wide eyes.
"I'd get ready quickly if I were you. If I wait too long for you, I might start by myself." with a wink, you left a bungling Cedric hurriedly drying himself.
You let out a low giggle while strutting out the locker rooms. You were leaving the field when Cedric caught up with you, shirt half open, your lace panties between his teeth, and still buttoning up his pants.
You stifled a giggle at the sight and walked faster. He tripped, but managed to catch himself.
Before long, he was fully dressed and walking fast beside you, glancing your way every few seconds with a giddy smile on his face.
That is, until Harry Potter started calling after him.
His eyes widened slightly, he grabbed your arm and said "Don't you dare stop walking"
With a playful smile on your face, you released your arm from his grip and turned towards the griffindor.
"Hello, Harry!" You smiled widely, mosty because of the impatient look on Cedric's face.
"Hey, (y/n)," he turned towards your boyfriend "Cedric, can I talk to you for a second?" the boy looked at you for a split second before returning his gaze to Cedric "Alone."
"Actually, we-"
"Of course! Take your time, Harry!" You answered, overly amiable.
As you started walking away, Cedric grabbed your arm again.
"(y/n)'s not feeling very well, I have to take care of her. Can we do this another time?"
"Oh, nonsense! You know I can take care of myself." You said, untangling yourself from him, "Besides, I feel much better now. I might even -"
Your words were cut off as Cedric pulled you against his chest.
"I'm sure (y/n) won't tell a soul, there's nothing you can say to me that you can't say to her."
Harry reluctantly started saying something about some girl. Maybe Cho? Ginny? You had no idea. You were too busy feeling Cedric's hard cock against your backside, his hands pressing at your stomach to hold you as close as possible.
You looked up at him and he had a smug look on his face. He knew what he was doing.
His lips were moving, but all you could thing about was his dick inside you, pounding over and over again until your whole body shook.
"What do you think, (y/n)?"
Your name pulls you back from your lustful state and you realise the words came from Harry. He looked doubtful and insecure. You understood him, you'd been in a similar situation after all. Who never has? Pining after someone and not knowing if they'll ever want you back? Too shy and insecure to do anything about it? It was a universal experience.
"I think that I never would have told Cedric about my feelings if he didn't make the first move. I never would have told him how I felt and we wouldn't be together now." You held Cedric's hands on your stomach and smiled at the memory of him first coming to speak with you.
"I think that you will never know how she feels if you never ask. Life is about taking risks. Sometimes it doesn't work out, but that only means that person wasn't the one for you. You are remarkable, Harry Potter. If anyone does not want you it's their loss, not yours. And if they do want you, they'll be extremely lucky to have you."
The boy was blushing by the end of your speech and Cedric smiled down at you.
"D'you really think so?" he asked, but a smile pulled at his lips.
"I do." you answered sincerely.
"Ok, Potter, cheers mate. We gotta go." Cedric said, taking your hand, not waiting for a reply before jogging through the halls, dragging you along with him.
Your laughter echoed through the halls and your stomach clenched in anticipation. Cedric lead you down the stairs and past the kitchens, his face no longer humorous.
He tapped the rhythm to "Helga Hufflepuff" on the right barrel and immediately pushed through, pulling you along with him. You both made your way to his dorm, thanking Merlin once again that prefects have individual rooms.
The click of the lock closing resonated through the room and the only noise left was your heavy breathing as you gazed as one another.
You made the first move, slowly unbuttoning your shirt and leaving it to fall on the floor. Cedric watched, unmoving, as you unzipped your skirt and let it fall as well.
You leaned against the door and he looked at you with a predatory gaze, but you both knew who was in charge.
"Kneel." you commanded and Cedric immediately obeyed, falling to his knees in front of you, holding the back of your thighs.
"Did I say you could touch me?" you asked, raking your hands through his hair.
He removed his hands from you, but begged "I need you so much, please. Can I make you come?" his pupils were blown wide, his brows furrowed, and his erection pressing against his pants.
"Only because you asked so nicely" you answered sweetly and Cedric sighed, his head falling to your mound.
His hands massaged your buttocks as he gave you kisses so close yet so far to where you needed him most.
"Now," you breathed "you are going to give me head and make me cum. Can you do that, baby?"
"Please," he whimpered, kissing your mound, "wanna taste you so bad, darling."
"Go ahead, Ced."
He immediately complied, hiking your right leg over his shoulder and licking from your entrance to your clit. You gasped, steadying yourself against the wall and he moaned against you.
"Always taste so good, my love."
Cedric licked and sucked like a starved man, tearing moan after moan from you.
"Cedric" you whimpered, gripping his hair to bring him closer or push him away. You didn't even know anymore.
He swirled his tongue around your clit before lowering his mouth to your entrance again and plunging his tongue inside. Your groan was loud enough for anyone in the hufflepuff common room and adjacent to hear as he fucked you slowly with his tongue.
"Just like that, baby."
He complied, keeping the same rhythm. In and out, in and out.
Your walls started clenching and warmth spread across your lower stomach, but it still wasn't enough.
"I need more." you said, looking down at him.
Like a good boy, he started stroking your clit with his thumb and worked his tongue faster.
Like that wasn't enough, he looked up at you and just the sight of him on his knees for you, with disheveled hair, eating you out while his spare hand stroked his cock would have brought on your first orgasm.
Your body shook and your knees gave out, but Cedric still held you and kept using his tongue to help you ride out your high.
When it was too much, you pulled his head away from your core by his hair.
"You were so good, my love." You caressed his face "Until you started touching yourself."
"I wasn't going to make myself come, I swear." He stood up "I just wanted to feel good."
"I'll make you feel good, baby." you dragged your finger and nails down his torso, leaving goosebumps as you told him to lie down on the bed.
"Finish taking your clothes off," you said, looking around "I want you naked when I get on that bed."
Finding what you were looking for, you crawled over your boyfriend's body and sat down on top of his erection. The direct contact with your heat made him swear.
You put his arms above his head and bound his wrists to the headboard with your house's tie.
"Please, I swear I won't touch myself." he pulled at the tie "I just wanna touch you, darling."
"Oh, I can't let you do that." you propped your hands on his chest and started a tortuously slow drag of your hips up and down his length, "You've been misbehaving a lot this afternoon. You only get to touch me when you've been a good boy."
"I'll be a good boy, I promise." he whimpered.
"We'll see about that." you answered, grinding a bit faster against him.
His hands were white from pulling at the tie, his breathing laboured and his hips shaking with restraint.
You leaned forward, your breasts falling to his face, "Suck on them."
He leaned towards them and captured your left nipple with his mouth. His nibbling and sucking tore moans from you and made you fasten your pace on his cock.
"Gonna come soon." he managed before turning his attention to your right nipple.
You took his jaw in your hand and kissed him passionately before resting your forehead against his.
His cock started twitching beneath you and Merlin if it didn't bring you an instant from your second orgasm, but you pulled away all at once.
Tears threatened to spill from his eyes and his dick kept spasming, his hips bulking.
Cedric whimpered.
"I know, I know." you cooed "You're doing so good, but I'm not done punishing you just yet."
You connected your lips one last time before making your way to the foot of the bed, caressing his leg as you walked. The growing wetness and incessant pulse between your thighs made you clench them.
"You did so good at training today, Ced." you praised him, "And you looked so handsome, too."
You got on the bed once more, between his legs this time, and he looked down at you.
"Wanted your pretty cock in my mouth the whole time."
He moaned as you started stroking his length, a bead of pre-cum falling onto your hand.
"Please, I want to be inside you." he begged, thrusting into your hand.
"Soon enough, my love." you answered kissing his tip, earning you a hiss "Have patience."
Your mouth watered as you looked at his engorged member, hard against his abs. All flustered cheeks, glistening skin, and shallow breaths, Cedric awaited your next move.
"Glorious." You breathed to yourself, but the seeker flushed even more from the praise.
Your eyes went back to his cock and the vein on the underside was your first target. You heard his moan as you licked him from base to tip, then took him inside your mouth all at once.
His hips bulked and his head hit the back of your throat, making you gag. Your pulse quickened everywhere.
Bobbing your head up and down, sucking harder at the head, you pushed Cedric closer to the edge.
He moaned your name like a prayer, over and over, and you kept up your pace even as tears fell from your eyes and drool spread down your chin.
"Touch my balls." He gasped and you complied, smiling around him.
You cupped and massaged his scrotum, already heavy with cum and you imagined all that inside of you. Moaning at the thought, you gave Cedric one last suck before getting up on your knees to untie him.
His hands flew to your hips and his lips to yours.
"You had your fun, darling, now it's my turn." he said, voice deep and eyes dark. His pupils were so dilated you could barely see the usual grey.
Holding your body to his, he flipped the both of you and looked down at you with one arm holding his weight beside your body, the other hand softly grazing your body.
"Hello, gorgeous." he smiled, diving to kiss you.
You kissed him back, tongues caressing each other and hands roaming.
Two fingers slid from your entrance to your clit and you shuddered.
"So wet for me, aren't you?" he took his digits to his lips and sucked them clean, you bit your bottom lip to contain a moan.
The sight alone could have made you cum.
"I need you to use your words, darling. I'm going to fuck you into the mattress right now, alright?" he said, caressing your face.
The contrast between his words and his tenderness had you squirming "Please." was all you could manage.
Taking his swollen cock, he teased you, dragging the head up and down your slit then circling your clit.
"Hurry!" you whined and he immediately obliged, completely sheathing his cock in your entrance.
Both gasping, your walls clenched around him and Cedric steadied himself against the bed.
Your mingling breaths evened out a bit before Cedric slowly pulled out until the tip and rutted back in again.
One of your hands shot up to hold his biceps while the other splayed against his back.
His length hit deep, hard and slow, making you dizzy.
He moaned your name in your ear, hair brushing the side of your face. Your legs made their way around his waist, letting him hit even deeper and you clenched harder around him.
"Fuck, darling." he groaned, quickening his pace "Need you to come for me, can you do that?"
His every thrust lead you to your second orgasm. How deep he hit, the moans and grunts he let out, how every plunge of his hips rubbed against you clit, the look he had in his eyes.
Every one of your muscles clenched and shook, Cedric moaned, and you let out a cry as blinding pleasure exploded through your body.
Even as you came down from your high, the thrusts didn't stop. If anything, they were harder and faster.
Cedric pulled out and turned you over, bringing your ass towards him. He plunged himself in again and continued his thrusts just as deep and fast as before.
You bit the pillow as he gave your ass a smack, but he still heard your low groan.
"You like that, don't you?" he spanked you again, a bit harder this time, and you cried out "My pretty little cock slut."
You moaned incoherently as he hit just the right spot over and over.
"Gonna come inside you, darling." he grunted.
Grabbing one of his hands placed on your hips, you looked back at him and, as always, the sight was glorious.
Cedric could have been sculpted by the gods themselves, with a layer of sweat that made his skin glow, veins and lean muscles bulging, and sexual prowess you were sure no human should have been made to have.
Interlacing your fingers, he looked into your eyes then shot his head up and his thrusts became sloppier. His dick started swelling inside you and you moaned. He was close and so were you.
"Fill me up, Ced. Wanna be so full of you." was the last thing you managed to say before your walls clenched tightly around him and you let out a silent scream.
Cedric poured out a string of curses and gave one final deep thrust before you felt his release coat your walls. Breathing laboured and bodies exhausted, he fell to his side and brought your body with him.
"You did so good, baby." he praised, kissing your hair, then asked sweetly "Do you need anything? Water, a bath?"
You turned around and curled into him "Just you."
He smiled and kissed your forehead "You'll always have me."
"I love you." you murmured into his chest.
Cedric's heart swelled in his chest and he said "I love you." but you were already asleep.

All My Stories
A/n: so sorry it took so long for me to write this! I literally decided to delete the whole story and rewrite it when I was almost done because i hated it.. sorry! Idk how i feel about this story so lmk to delete it LMAO
Tumblr media
Y/n sits in potions, trying her best to consentrate on Professor Snape's lecture, but her mind keeps wondering off to the upcoming Quidditch match, Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff. Being the captain of Slytherin, her mind was always on Quidditch, even when she knew she should focus on her school work. She tries to picture how the match will go, her catching the snitch, outflying Cedric Diggory.
Y/n and Cedric didn't know each other outside of the game. Of course Y/n's competitiveness would set a divide if they ever became friends, Quidditch always came before any friendship in her mind. Although she knew it wasn't a good mindset, she couldn't help it. The talk from around the school about how Cedric is so perfect, best Quidditch captain, good looking, and more, never made Y/n more fond of the boy.
Professor Snape eyed Y/n as he spoke, knowing her mind was elsewhere. "Ms. Y/l/n," He started, interrupting his own lecture. Y/n blinks, clearing her mind and turning her attention to Snape, her face becoming a bit heated. "care to repeat what I just said?"
Y/n looks up at her Professor, becoming a bit shy out of embarrassment. Slowly shaking her head, she replies, "I don't know, sir."
"Would anyone like to show that they were listening, unlike Y/l/n?" Snape coldly says, looking around the room. Although embarrassed, Y/n looked around the room, seeing multiple hands raised. "Mr. Diggory?"
A smug look appeared on Cedric's face as he answered, "You said that we will be learning how to create the potion, 'Draught of Living Death'. This potion can send someone into a slumber that is similar to death," He pauses, his eyes on Y/n, "sir." Y/n looks at him, her eyebrows turning down into frustration, her mouth slightly in a frown.
Obviously no one liked being shown up, but it was Cedric Diggory, so she hated it even more. What she hated even more was his smug face, slightly smirking as Snape says, "Very good, Cedric. 5 points from Slytherin, 5 points to Hufflepuff." Y/n finally breaks her death stare at Cedric, looking down at the desk in front of her.
~~~~
After giving a speech to her team in the shared locker room, Y/n puts herself into the mindset to win. As she leads her team onto the pitch, she looks over at the Hufflepuff team. Still frustrated at the situation in potions class, a dirty look was thrown to Cedric. Cedric turns his head at the Slytherin team, smirking at the obviously angered girl. He knew how to piss her off, and it was certainly working.
Hearing Slytherin being called, Y/n and her team hop on their brooms, flying around as the Slytherin section cheers. Y/n's mood lightens at this, the thoughts of Cedric gone. She then hears Hufflepuff being called, the Hufflepuff fans roar over Slytherin. Not minding this, Y/n focuses on the game, getting ready to play.
The game starts, Y/n immediately going for the snitch, Cedirc does the same. While points were being scored and announced, Y/n ignores everything, focusing on the tricky ball. The snitch moves fast, Y/n and Cedric flew side by side, slightly behind it.
After about 14 minutes of chasing the snitch, the 2 seekers were extremely high off the ground. Suddenly, the snitch flys down, making them fly quickly after it. They both reach out while still flying down, Cedric then bumps into Y/n, trying to get her out of the way. Feeling this, Y/n steadies herself, then bumps him back a little harder.
Cedric returns the bump, a lot harder then he intended it to be. He finally catches the snitch, a huge smile on his face. "Cedric Diggory catches the snitch! Hufflepuff wins!" Was said over the roaring cheers from Hufflepuff. Cedric was ecstatic, adrenaline still running through his body as he stops his broom, floating in mid air. He raises the hand that holds the snitch in the air, the smile never leaving his face.
Suddenly he is confused why Y/n suddenly disappeared. Although he was still smiling, a pity look was on his face. He knew Y/n was competitive, he assumed she stormed off already because of her loss. Cedric then looks as Y/n's teammates fly down to the floor, seeing Y/n hunched over, facing the ground.
When Cedric bumped into her the second time, he made her lose control. She got knocked off her broom, hitting the ground. She didn't fall too high out of the air, but enough for it to make a mark on her. Anger grew in her, Cedric just won the game and she knew she wouldn't be able to play in the next match.
Y/n sat on her knees, facing the ground hunched over, her hand holding the side she landed on. Cedric flew down, guilt rushing over him. He gets off his broom, running over to Y/n. "Y/n!" He says as he grabs her, helping her up. Y/n accepts this help until she sees Cedric.
Pushing him away, she says, "Asshole!" She couldn't feel the pain because of how angered she was, tears forming in her eyes. Her eyebrows furrowed as she was backing up, she was still facing him. He stood there, unsure of what to do. He knew she was angry, he was a bit angered at himself too, he also knew she was in pain.
Y/n turns around, storming off of the pitch as the pain starts rushing to her. One of her teammates helped her to Madam Pomfrey's office. Although still angry, Y/n answers the nurses questions about her pain nicely, not bringing her anger out on Madam Pomfrey.
Nothing was broken but Madam Pomfrey asked for Y/n to stay the night to see how she would feel in the morning. Even though she didn't want to, Y/n agreed and laid on a bed, taking the pain killing potion Pomfrey gave her.
After an hour of being alone with her thoughts, Y/n stares at the ceiling, replaying the events that just happened. God she hated Cedric. She didn't realize how tense her face was until she relaxed it when Madam Pomfrey came over to her to tell her a guest was here for her.
Y/n smiles and nods, watching the nurse call over the guest to her. She watches as Cedric reveals himself, pity in his eyes. Madam Pomfrey leaves, allowing Cedric to sit in the chair next to Y/n's bed. As soon as the nurse turned around, Y/n's face dropped, a huff escaping her as she watched him sit down.
"Y/n," He starts, looking her in her eyes. He noticed her hair was still messy from the match, her Quidditch uniform still on. "I'm really sorry."
"You're an asshole, you know that?" Y/n coldly responds, staring deep into his eyes. He nods, looking down at the bed for a second, trying to think of things to say.
"I know," He looks back at her, "I'm not going to leave you alone until you know how sorry I truly am."
Y/n scoffs, "Your little charming tacit wont work on me, so save it."
"Y/n, I'm serious, I didn't mean to hit you that hard, I'm truly sorry."
Y/n notices somethings sincere about him, she didn't know if it was the look he gave her, or his tone of voice, or was it both? She ignores this, her eyebrows tense as she looks at him. "Just leave, Cedric, you're wasting your time. Go celebrate your win." She says coldly once again.
He thinks for a second, still holding eyecontact so she knows how serious he is. "I'll leave you alone, but I'm not going to stop bothering you until you accept my apology." He says, getting up. "Goodnight, Y/n." He walks away, making his way out of the room.
Y/n spent the night thinking about Cedric, even though she told herself not to and to get rest, but she couldn't. She knew he was just trying to win the match, that's why he did what he did, she would do the same to win.
~~~~
Y/n got little sleep, an hour or 2 was the most she had her eyes closed for. She woke up less angry at Cedric, but she still was upset at her loss. Madam Pomfrey lets her stay in bed for a little bit before sending her to class with a note saying where she was and why she was late. Once she arrived back at her dorm, Y/n quickly took a shower, changed into her robes and got her books for class.
By the time she was done, it was potions class. She opens the door to the silent class, everyone turns around to see who was late. Y/n awkwardly walks over to Professor Snape who had his eyebrow raised at her. She hands him the note then walks over to her seat and sits down.
Y/n pulls out her potions book as she looks at what the person next to her was doing. She opens the book then turns it to the same page, reading the passage.
As the class went on, Cedric kept looking at Y/n, making sure she wasn't in visible pain. He noticed her hand on the arm she landed on, but it looked like she didn't know she was doing it. Once he even caught her glancing back at him, his eyebrows untense from worry as he saw her looking at him.
~~~~
Y/n sat in the library by herself, catching herself up from all the classes she missed. As she was doing so, the chair next to her was suddenly pulled out from the table, someone sitting in it. She looks over, her eyes laying on Cedric looking at the paper she was writing on. "What class is that for?" He asks, hoping to ease some tension. He also hopped this question made it so that she didn't shoo him away.
Y/n looks at him for a second, a silent sigh escaped her. She looked at him with an unreadable face, "Herbology."
Cedric nods, taking his eyes off the paper and looking at Y/n. "Um, how are you feeling?"
"Sore." She says shortly. Realizing shes being rude with her one-word replies, she says, "Nothings broken, obviously, but lots of bruising."
Cedric notices that she's continuing the conversation, taking it as a good sign. "I'm sorry, Y/n." He says with a serious face.
Y/n nods, her eyes leaving his for a second, then coming back. "It's fine, I probably would have done the same," she pauses, "but I probably wouldn't have apologized." She jokes, slightly smiling at him.
He huffs a laugh, grinning and slightly shaking his head. "I know you wouldn't." Y/n laughs, turning her head back to her paper. Cedric sits there for a moment, wanting to continue conversation. Before he was able to say anything else, his friends came up to him.
"Cedric, we're going to that Gryffindor party, lets go." One of them say. Y/n looks up at his friends as they pull Cedric up from the chair.
"Okay, I'll be right there." Cedric says as his friends walk away. He then turns back to Y/n. "Want to come?"
Y/n smiles at his offer, suddenly having a soft spot for a boy she just hated. "I have lots of work to catch up on, thank you though."
Cedric nods, returning her smile. "I'll see you later then, Y/n."
"See you," Y/n replies, watching him walk away.
As she finished her work, Y/n's mind kept wondering back to Cedric. She was glad she was introduced to his nice side, she was honestly getting tired of having a rivalry with him. She oddly felt closer to him, they've known each other for years, but their only interactions were all negative. But now, she felt comfortable with him, almost like they have been friends for years.
~~~~
It was now the next day, Y/n had a free period which she spent in the court yard. She had no school work to do so she sat on a bench, reading her book. The court yard was mostly empty, a few kids in different years were the only other people. She noticed someone walking to her out of the corner of her eye, she looked up.
She saw Cedric smiling down at her as he sat next to her, "What are you reading?" He asks, leaning down a bit to see. Y/n smiles at him, she placed her finger on the page she was reading as a bookmark and flips the cover over for him to see. He nods, a smile still on his face.
"You know you don't have to say you're sorry anymore?" Y/n jokes, assuming that's the reason he is coming over to her.
Cedric looks from the book to her face, laughing at her joke. "Yes, I know." He pauses, "Who would have thought I enjoyed your company?" She cracks a smile and scoffs a bit, not really believing him, wondering if he's just doing it out of pity.
Closing her book fully, not caring what page shes on anymore, she turns her full attention to the boy sitting next to her. "So, you have a free period?"
Nodding, he replies, "Yeah. I was walking to the library to study, but then I saw you and decided to say hi."
She smiles at his words, feeling no hatred for him anymore. "Well that's nice of you."
He nods, continuing to look at her. "I like this side of you, it's better than your competitive side."
"Yeah, and all it took was you to knock me off my broom." She jokes, chuckling a bit.
He laughs, "I would have done that much sooner if I knew we could be friends."
"Well how kind of you." Y/n laughs, subconsciously touching the side of her arm she fell on.
Cedric noticed this, his heart had a pang of curiosity and worry. "Can I see.. the bruise?" Although a bit surprised at his request, Y/n nods and rolls her sleeve up all the way to her shoulder. Turning so he can see it better, Y/n looks at the bruise herself. It was a lot worse than it was the day before.
Cedric's eyes widen a bit in surprise, guilt washing over him. He reaches out, gently moving her arm to see it better. Leaning in, he whispers, "I'm sorry."
Noticing the close proximity, Y/n gets a bit tense, slightly hitching her breath as she responds, "It's okay, I'll just get you back next match."
Cedric laughs, looking up at her. "I guess so." He pauses. "Hey, promise me we wont let competition interfere with us?"
She looks at him, feeling the seriousness in the air. Y/n nods, she is glad that there is an "us".
~~~~
The next week, Y/n and Cedric grew close, they bonded over little things that they never knew they had in common. Y/n sat in the bleachers, cheering Cedric on in the Hufflepuff vs. Ravenclaw match. Once Cedric caught the snitch, once again, she couldn't help but have a huge grin on her face for him.
Y/n exited the bleaches, hoping she could catch Cedric before he made it into the locker room. While walking, she notices the Hufflepuff team exiting the pitch, everyone cheering Cedric on. Hearing this caused Y/n to laugh as she spots the brown haired boy.
Debating if she should call out his name, Cedric looks over at Y/n, his smile somehow grew. Her heart fluttered at this, even after he won a big game he was even happier to see her. They both sped up to each other, holding their arms out for a hug. Once they were in each others arms, Y/n shouts over the cheering, "Congratulations on the win!"
Cedric looks down at her, still hugging her. "Couldn't have done it if you weren't watching."
"So you were trying to impress me?" Y/n teases.
He laughs, "Maybe."
~~~~
The 2 spent their free period everyday with each other, sneaked glances in Potions class, and would bring up each other while talking with their friends. Their feelings for each other grew, one day it grew unbearable for Cedric. Y/n noticed a change in him right away.
While she sat with her friends in the Great Hall, Cedric would not take his eyes off of her. Y/n's friend pointed it out a few times during breakfast, her friend knew he was interested. Y/n looked at him, giving him an confused smile, all she got in return was a small smile as he continued to stare.
Unsure of his weird behavior, she decided to wait until her free period to see if he was still being weird. As soon as her class was over, she walked to the court yard to meet up with Cedric. Sitting on the same bench they always do, she watches as people pass by, walking to their classes.
Suddenly a hand reached out for her. She looked up at Cedric who had that same infatuated look on his face as he did at breakfast. "I want to show you something." He says, keeping his hand out for her to grab. Y/n looked at the hand, then back at him as she placed her palm on his.
Smiling, Cedric intertwines his fingers with hers, guiding her through the now empty hallways. Y/n recognized where they were going, the Astronomy tower. Glancing down at their connected hands, Y/n can't help but feel how intimate the moment seemed.
They climbed up the steps, finally arriving at the top. "You know I've been here before, right?" Y/n asks.
"Yeah," He pauses as he leads her over to the railing. "but have you seen that?" He points with his unoccupied hand. Y/n follows the gaze to many trees that have turned different colors due to the seasons changing. Y/n talked about wanting to see these kinds of trees and how shes only seen pictures. "Those are the ones you mentioned, right?"
Y/n nods as she looks out. She loved the sight of the trees, but she loved that it was Cedric that showed them to her more. Y/n looks over at him, a compassionate look in her eyes. Something came over her, she reached out and placed her empty hand on his cheek, looking deep into his eyes. "Thank you for showing me this."
Cedric's heart beat quickened at the feeling of her hand against his cheek, he lets out a breath. "Of course," A comfortable silence came over them, they were both thinking the same thing. "Y/n.."
Y/n felt her heart beat quicken as his hands are placed on her hips, letting go of her hand. She raised her hand to his other cheek, slowly bringing his face down to hers. Letting a subtle shaky breath out, Y/n places her lips on his, gently kissing him. He pulls her closer to him with the hands on her hips, kissing her back. The kiss was slow and passionate, it was obvious they were both waiting for it.
Y/n felt a smile against her lips causing her to smile in return. They separate from the kiss, looking each other in the eyes once again. They both smiled at each other, Cedric looked down at her, admiring everything about her face. "I really like you, Y/n." He quietly says, just in the right volume for the moment.
"I really like you too, Cedric." Y/n replied, brushing a hair that fell in his face.
The End
A/n: I lowkey hate this but yeah!!!!! I'm thinking of doing a fred weasley story...... thoughts??

Dating Cedric Diggory Headcanons
Cedric is the dream boyfriend of not just you, but almost every girl at Hogwarts.
But the difference between you and them is that you're Cedric's dream girlfriend too.
After pushing and prodding for a while, you two finally got into a relationship together.
Being Cedric Diggory's girlfriend invites jealousy from girls around you, but you are prepared to handle it. You know how to tackle people who're going to do nothing but bring you down.
Cedric is incredibly proud of you. He's very vocal about his feelings, words of affirmation being his love language.
He never forgets to tell you how he feels about you, how much he loves you and believes in you.
Cedric is rarely distracted during Quidditch, but when you shouted 'i love you, babe!' After he caught the snitch, the guy almost fell off his broom.
Cedric, despite being one of the most handsome guys in Hogwarts, is exceptionally humble. He's not in Hufflepuff for no reason. But he does love to hype you up.
He introduced you to his parents soon enough, and they love you.
You're invited to all family events at the Diggory house, and you couldn't be more grateful for it.
Cedric plans special, thoughtful dates for you. They don't involve a lot of money but a lot of thought, and you appreciate it wholeheartedly.
He loves dancing with you under the starry sky near the black lake, looking into your beautiful eyes and giving you sweet promises.
He plans to keep those promises, being incredibly honest and loyal towards you.
Often, you sneak off with him to go to the kitchens, and love to feast on chocolate and cakes.
The house elves love you, and prepare your favorite food everytime you go to the kitchens.
Cedric likes keeping you close, because he may show the cool, golden boy facàde to the world, but only you know what he's truly like.
You know his vulnerabilities, his weaknesses. You've seen his tears, heard his screams and hugged away all his nightmares.
Cedric would do the same for you in a heartbeat.
Cedric is the best partner you could ever ask for, and you're the best partner he could ask for.

CINDY LOU WHO. cedric diggory
( master list )
IN WHICH… Y/N L/N helps her crush and longtime best friend, Cedric Diggory, get with another girl. Deep down, she knows she’ll never be the bright and bubbly girl Cedric wants. She’ll always be the cunning snake with a knack for starting fights.
“Cindy Lou is bright, bubbly, and extraordinary… she’s everything I’m not.”
A/N: I do take requests so feel free to ask for one :). I mainly write for Maze Runner, Harry Potter, PJO, and Hunger Games
Guess you make him happy like I couldn't do. Cindy Lou Who. With your hair so long, lips so red. Maybe we met once, I forget
Tumblr media
Scrolling five years back, I'm obsessed. Breaking my heart, 'tis the season, I guess. The snow's gonna fall and the tree's gonna glisten. And I'm gonna puke at the thought of you kissin'
“The boy who I love who's now in love with you. Cindy Lou Who.”
Y/N sighed as she impatiently checked her watch and tapped her foot against the stone floor. It was almost curfew and Cedric was still a no show. The rules were less strict now that school was done, but Y/N had a reputation to live up to. It was the least she could do with all the trouble she had caused this year.
“Y/N.” Cedric jogged towards her, looking out of breath. She arched an eyebrow and her gaze scanned his untidy uniform.
“… Do I even want to ask?” She questioned.
“Ah.” Cedric sheepishly smiled, “My friends and I were playing hide and seek. It was a pretty intense game.” Even during his senior years, Cedric was still the bright-eyed kid Y/N had grown up with.
“Right. Well, why did you want to see me? You know how I don’t like going out before curfew.” Y/N folded her arms over her chest, “Plus, you’re late.” She quickly added.
“I know. I’m sorry about that. I just had to grab this.” Cedric pulled out a black box, smiling. He carefully opened it, showing the necklace to Y/N. “Do you recognize the crystal?” He questioned, making Y/N scoff.
“Of course I do. It’s my birth month crystal. (Insert crystal).”
Cedric grinned. “You still know so much more about gems than me. You should’ve been put in Ravenclaw.”
“Oh, please. If I was put there, I would be sleeping in the hallways. I can’t figure out riddles.”
Cedric playfully nudged her with his elbow. “Don’t say that. You’re smart.”
The pair walked beside each other as the moonlight shone through the cracks of the castle. Cedric had slipped the necklace box back into his pocket and he gently cleared his throat.
“I’m going to give the necklace to Cho.” He suddenly blurted out, causing Y/N to pause. She looked over her shoulder at Cedric, wondering if he was joking. He wasn’t.
“Why? She’s your ex.” Y/N felt mildly disappointed that the necklace wasn’t for her. For the longest time, she had been holding onto her feelings for Cedric. Everybody could see it; the Golden trio, the teachers, even Draco’s posse. And yet Cedric had never caught on. She was starting to wonder if he was just messing with her.
“She helped me through a lot. I owe it to her.” Cedric smiled. Y/N gazed at him before she nodded.
“Okay… I’m guessing you want my help?”
“Yes. Please.” Cedric was ready to get on his knees and beg. Though, he was sure Y/N would find great amusement in that. She had always been a little sadistic.
Y/N briefly looked away, blinking away small tears and recollecting her composure so her voice wouldn’t crack. “What do you want me to do?”
edric had wanted to meet Cho at the black late, which was where he and Y/N usually hung out. That stung.
Y/N tied the last of the heart-shaped balloons before securing them to a nearby tree. Cedric was pacing around, wildly muttering under his breath.
“Will you relax?” The Slytherin girl piped up, rolling her eyes. “You’re making me feel nervous.”
“I can’t help it.” Cedric replied. Of course, nobody could help but feel anxious around Cho Chang. She was beautiful and smart and kind. Y/N had talked to her a few times, and if she were a guy or lesbian, Cho would be her crush too.
“Well, that’s the last of the balloons. Good luck, Ced. I’ll be nearby if you need help. Just don’t expect me to hug you if she rejects you.” Y/N playfully punched her friend’s shoulder. Cedric boyishly grinned and quickly embraced her.
For a moment, Y/N was speechless. She slowly hugged him back and awkwardly patted him. She could smell his expensive cologne and it almost felt Cedric was confessing to her instead.
Y/N was the first to pull away. She wished Cedric luck once more before hurrying off, her heart pounding in her chest. She felt envious of Cho. Y/N had been by Cedric’s side since day one. She had comforted him and supported him and hid her breaking heart when Cedric admitted to liking Cho the first time.
And now it was all happening again.
Y/N hid behind a tree just in time to see Cho walk out of Hogwarts and make a beeline for Cedric. She watched as they conversed and when Cedric showed Cho the necklace, she jumped with joy.
Y/N let out a small sigh. She pressed her lips into a thin line, accepting that she wasn’t the girl Cedric would ever go for. She wondered that if they weren’t childhood friends, would Cedric still be nice to her?
She was a Slytherin. A somewhat mean one with a soft spot for certain people. She started too many fights to count, and the threat of expulsion was always hanging over her head.
She wasn’t Cho Chang, who was pretty like the starry night shining above the calm ocean. Cho Chang was kind, sweet, and loving.
Cho Chang was Cindy Lou and Y/N was the Grinch with no room in her heart to change.
The next time Y/N saw Cedric, he was by Cho’s side. Y/N usually sat at the Hufflepuff table with Cedric, much to some people’s dismay, but today Cho was with him.
Y/N didn’t feel welcomed at that point so she sat with her friends, completely missing the way Cedric gazed over at her in confusion.
“Ah, Cedric Diggory and Cho Chang. Everybody’s favorite couple has finally reunited.” Ivy, a pale-skinned girl with light freckles lining her cheeks and soft silver hair grimaced as she sarcastically spoke.
“It’s a shame you never dated Diggory, Y/N. You guys were perfect together.” Hime sighed as she poured herself a cup of pumpkin juice. She offered to fill Y/N’s glass as well, but the H/C-haired girl declined.
“Boys are always stupid.” Evan, short for Evangeline, piped up. “He doesn’t know what he’s missing. I agree with Hime. He should’ve gone for Y/N.”
Y/N silently ate as she listened to her friends complain about Cedric, probably in an attempt to make her feel better.
“Has anybody noticed how he keeps looking over here?” Hime questioned, whispering quietly. “Chang never seems to have his attention for long.”
“I’m telling you, Diggory secretly likes Y/N but he’s scared she’ll reject him. So he’s playing it safe and going for an ex who he knows he had chemistry with.” Ivy retorted, sparing another glance at Cedric.
Y/N huffed in amusement. “Where did you come up with that?” She spoke for the first time.
“It’s obvious.” Evan backed up Ivy’s theory. “When he wins a Quidditch game, who does he run to? You. When he needs help with homework, who does he find? You. When he wants to go to Hogsmeade, who does he immediately ask?”
Evan arched an eyebrow while Y/N sighed.
“Me.”
“Exactly!”
“It’s a plausible theory.” Hime uttered. “You two have been friends for ages. He’s close friends with Hermione Granger too, but does he hug her and look at her like he does to you?”
“That’s probably because she’s younger and he doesn’t want to end up with a sentence.”
“Good point. What about Floral over there?” Hime nodded over at the Ravenclaw girl who was always arranging flowers or reading about them. Her name wasn’t Floral but everyone called her that and it stuck. “You three are all friends, right?”
“More like I was forced to befriend her, but sure.”
“Diggory doesn’t look at her the way he looks at you.”
“And how does he look at me?”
Ivy slammed her hands on the table, looking like she had been waiting years for this question. “He looks at you like Jack Dawson looks at Rose. He looks at you like Chuck Bass looks at Blair Waldorf. He looks at you like Luke looks at Lorelei. Like Morticia and Gomez, Bella and Edward, uh.. give me another one!”
“Percy and Annabeth?” Evan suggested.
“Yes! That’s how he looks at you. He’s giving you the I wouldn’t want anybody else by my side look. He’s probably just… confused. You’re like his Cindy Lou Who. You make him happy and you bring out the best in him.”
“Cindy Lou is bright, bubbly, and extraordinary… she’s everything I’m not.” Y/N gestured over to Cho, who was giggling with Cedric. “Cho Chang is more like Cindy Lou.”
“Cindy Lou Who has a nice ring to it.” Evan said, off topic.
Y/N nodded in agreement. “It does. The rhyme is satisfying.”
“Enough about language features! You have to get your man back, Y/N.” Ivy intensely stared at Y/N, determined to get Cedric and her together.
“He was never mine to begin with.”
“Then make him yours! Come on, Y/N, you’re beautiful- no. Gorgeous. And sure, you have a bitter side but guys who can’t deal getting a little burnt aren’t worth it. And I know that you burnt Diggory over and over again, with both your anger and literal fire.”
“Just so we’re clear, the fire thing was an accident. And I don’t want to force anything onto Cedric. I’ll just… go with the flow.” Y/N ate the last of her food and stood up, “I need to wrap presents. Don’t you dare try and sneak in to see your’s.”
Y/N was mainly referring to Ivy, who lifted her hands in surrender.
Again, Y/N failed to notice how Cedric’s eyes trailed to her. But Cho saw it.
“Cedric.” The raven-haired beautify tugged on his sleeve, “Can we talk?” She spared Cedric’s friends a look. “Alone?”
“Uh, yeah, sure.”
The pair walked off, fully aware of how Y/N’s friends were watching them closely.
“What did you want to talk about?” Cedric questioned, tilting his head to the side.
“I don’t want to assume anything, Cedric. But to me, it seems like you only confessed to me again to play it safe. I can tell that your true feelings don’t lie with me.” Cho glanced at Y/N, who exited a nearby bathroom and was too busy drying her hands to notice the couple. “They lie with her.”
Cedric followed Cho’s gaze, softly staring at Y/N with that damned look of adoration.
“I think someone else deserves this necklace.” Cho gently removed the jewellery, handing it over to Cedric. “Face it, you love her. You always have. You can’t try to love me, Cedric, not when Y/N exists.”
“She doesn’t like me back.” Cedric muttered, grasping the necklace.
“Are you sure?” Cho quirked an eyebrow. “Why do you think she stayed by your side for so long? Even when the other Slytherins teased her, even when you two argued, even when you kissed me in front of her. How could you not notice, Cedric? She brings you drinks after quidditch practice and buys you gifts and even stays at Hogwarts so you aren’t lonely. Why do you think she never dated anybody, Cedric? It’s because you were the one she wanted.”
Cedric shook his head. “No. She doesn’t like me. Y/N is smart and amazing and cunning. I’m not her type. Her type would be someone like…” He paused, thinking, “Matteo Riddle.”
Cho sighed as she shook her head. “You really have no idea, do you? Spend more time with Y/N and hopefully you’ll notice the things the rest of us do.”
She quietly walked off, leaving Cedric standing outside the Great Hall. Cho made an immediate beeline for Ivy, Evan, and Hime and sat in Y/N’s spot.
The trio clad in green glanced at her, confused and a little hostile.
“Cedric likes Y/N.” Cho quickly uttered so the group didn’t explode on her. “I got through to him but he thinks Y/N doesn’t like him back.”
“Thats bullshit. It’s so obvious!” Ivy groaned.
“Exactly.” Evan agreed, “But Y/N doesn’t think Cedric likes her either.”
Cho sighed. “It’s obvious they have mutual feelings but neither of them believe it. So, let’s force them to confess.”
Hime raised an eyebrow. “Don’t you like Cedric? Why are you willing to help us?”
“Despite our dating history, Cedric is still my friend. And I want to help him in any way I can.” Cho smiled.
“Oh, I have an idea!” Ivy exclaimed, “What if we get them under the mistletoe? But instead, they have to fight! We can call it mistlefoe!”
Cho, Hime, and Evan exchanged looks.
“I think we should just stick to mistletoe.” Cho uttered. “We could, uh, surprise them by decorating one of their common rooms? The Slytherin room is never decorated, right?”
“I wish it was.” Evan sighed, “It’s a cute idea. We could surprise Y/N by decorating the common room and then led her in and Cedric can be standing in the middle of the room under the mistletoe.”
“But to pull that off, we’ll need more help.” Hime added, “I don’t think four people can do that. And it’s only us in the Slytherin common room. Not even Matteo is here. So he can’t help.”
Cho glanced past Hime and Ivy, staring at the Golden Trio and their extended group of friends. She smiled. “I have an idea. But it’s going to involve working with Gryffindors.”
The group of Slytherins all glanced at each other before they shrugged in unison.
“Anything for Y/N.”
“Whatever.”
“Do I get to kiss Oliver Wood after Diggory and Y/N kiss?”
Cho, Evan, and Hime stared at Ivy, who only cheekily grinned.
“Um… I’m not sure about that last one. Let’s just start off with asking the Gryffindors first.” Cho sheepishly smiled.
“Ivy and I will get the decorations.” Hime offered, “There’s some extra ones in the basement if Hogwarts too. Evan, Chang, you can get those after you ask the Gryffindors.”
“Call me Cho.” The ravenette smiled before she stood up. “We don’t have much time. Let’s hurry.”
“Wait, we forgot something.” Ivy piped up, “Who’s going to distract Y/N?”
“Evan can distract L/N. I’ll ask the Gryffindors myself and if they accept, they can help me get the decorations from the basement.”
“Okay.” Hime looked around, slowly nodding. She smiled. “Let’s go.”
Cho approached the red table while Hime and Ivy hurried towards Hogsmeade and Evan rushed off to find Y/N.
It took a few hours for everything to be set up, but finally the Slytherin room was decorated and ready.
“I need to get something. I’ll be back.” Evan smiled, lying through her teeth. She watched as Y/N entered the Slytherin common room and rushed off to find her friends.
Y/N squinted her eyes as she walked into the dark room. “Huh? Ivy? Hime? You here? What did you do to the lights?” Nobody answered her. She tilted her head to the side, confused.
The lights suddenly turned on, along with multiple Christmas LED lights. She quietly gasped as she stared at the tinsel covered stairs and brightly decorated tree.
In all her years at Hogwarts, the common room had never been decorated. Slytherins weren’t exactly big on Christmas.
Y/N looked around, realizing she wasn’t alone. “Cedric?” She stared at the brunette boy. “What are you doing here? Have you seen Ivy or Hime? I can’t seem to find them anywhere.”
Cedric silently looked up. Y/N, puzzled, followed his gaze. She lifted her head, staring up at the floating mistletoe above her head. “Oh.” She whispered.
She looked at Cedric again, jumping when he was only a foot away.
“I’m sorry if I ever hurt you, Y/N.” He uttered, “I should’ve noticed.”
“Noticed what?”
Cedric didn’t say anything as he leaned forward to softly kiss her. Y/N froze, her heart almost leaping out of her chest.
“Y/N,” Cedric pulled away and brushed a strand of loose hair aside, “You’ll always be my Cindy Lou.”

...
“Where’s my brother?” Winnie asked, scanning the nearly vacant Slytherin common room. Next to her, a girl with curly brown hair stood.
“What the bloody hell are you wearing?” Brian sputtered, his maw open and bushy eyebrows bunched together. He looked her up and down, his confused expression apparent on his features.
Winnie tilted her head in visible puzzlement, “It’s a party. Aren’t we supposed to be dressed up to look pretty and stand out?” She looked down at her outfit, “I don’t see what’s wrong with what I’m wearing.” You smiled at her ignorance.
The girl next to her widened her eyes and looked away. Her shoulders shook, attempting to hold back her laughter. Next to you, leaning to the side, one hand on his hip, Brian’s face was contorted into a dumbfounded expression.
You observed Winnie’s odd outfit choice. She wore short overalls with a primarily pastel chequered palette and a small daisy on the front pocket in the middle of her chest. Underneath, you saw a white, overlarge sweater. You thought it was a bit simple for her until you noticed the sleeves looked dipped in colourful paint, peeling off in several areas. It was no doubt Winnie's creative idea. Her socks were also white but had pastel polka dots, and her shoes were black ballerina flats. For a Pureblood, she sure loved Muggle-wear.
You glanced at her face and noted that it was the only area on her body that wasn’t doused with colour. Her frizzy hair was tied up in a low ponytail, a few strands escaping from the coiffure.
You decided to jump into the conversation. “Yes, Winnie, but your outfit is rather,” you paused, searching for the right word, “visible.”
“What’s wrong with visible?” She furrowed her brows.
Before you could respond, Brian stepped in, cutting you off, “Well, we are sneaking around, and if we get caught, it’ll be a problem. We need something more discreet and everyday-wear.”
“But you and (Name) are also wearing nice clothes.” Winnie gestured to your primarily brown outfits.
“Winnie,” you tried reasoning with her, “Brian and I are wearing really dark and simple clothes. It’ll be more difficult to recognise us from a distance since many guys dress similarly, while your outfit is really bright and recognisable.”
She looked down, disappointment etched on her features as realisation dawned on her, “Oh okay…” she mumbled.
The girl next to her caressed her shoulder reassuringly. It was funny because she was at least 180, while Winnie was over a head shorter. That’s when it finally clicked for you.
“Hey, I know you,” the girl looked up at the sound of your voice, “You’re Winnie and Elsie’s roommate, aren’t you? Mary, right? I’m not the best at names.” You smiled at her, and she nodded, a silent gesture of affirmation.
“Anyway,” Brian said, “Is Elsie coming, or did she decide to skip?”
Winnie looked up again, “Oh, Ramona and Avery are helping her get ready. Where’s my brother? Is he already gone?”
You nodded, “Yes, he wanted to meet Destiny beforehand.”
You didn’t ask about why Elsie was spending extra time trying to seem appealing since you remembered the way she looked at Alistair and how he would often be the topic of conversation whenever he wasn’t there, whether she was complimenting his flying skills or insulting his girlfriend.
Brian was also aware, so he kept his mouth shut.
Winnie clapped her hands together and put them to her cheek in a sweet, motherly way as one would when cooing at a romantic couple or cute puppy, “Ohh! I’m glad everything is going well between them.”
You were never sure whether or not Winnie liked Destiny, but she seemed genuinely happy for her brother despite his girlfriend’s imperfections. It was one of her aspects you liked. She was determined to help everyone, so it surprised you that she wasn’t a Gryffindor or Hufflepuff.
“Where’s Campbell?” You heard Elsie’s voice coming from near the top of the stairs of the girl’s dormitory.
Winnie raised her hand and looked up, “I’m here.”
“No, the other Campbell. I never call you by your last name, Winnie, and if I did, you’d be Campbell NumberTwo.” Elsie stepped down from the dormitory. Two girls looking rather proud of themselves followed suit.
Elsie wore a red chequered skirt with a matching cropped blazer over a black corset top you recognised from a muggle shop near your house. Her short hair was tucked behind her ears with pins and hair clips.
Winnie squeaked joyfully and wrapped her arms around Elsie, then pulled away and bounced up and down. Sometimes, since she was so enthusiastic, you weren’t sure whether Winnie knew about her best friend’s crush on her brother, considering that was the reason Elsie dressed up in the first place.
“You look lovely,” you smiled reassuringly, and Elsie shrugged, looking away and playing with her sleeves. You rarely saw her this reserved since the first time you met her, and most of her other friends never got to see that vulnerable side of her.
Mary signed something to one of the girls who helped Elsie get ready, and she checked the time with a pocket watch.
“It’s 11: 15, peeps. If we hurry now, we’ll be at the Gryffindor common room by 30.”
The entire group nodded in acquiescence.
As you shuffled towards the door, you removed your penny brown sweater and handed it to Winnie, “Here, you need it more than I.”
“Aww! Thank you, (Name)!” She slipped it over her head and pulled it down, wrapping her arms around herself, petting the wool. She swayed from side to side as she trotted behind the others. You stifled a chuckle at how much larger it was than her, walking behind the other.
“11: 30,” whispered the girl with the pocket watch — whose name you found out was Ramona Armstrong, the sister of one of your roommates —, brushing her spiky red hair out of her eyes, “They’ll be here to check the door in a couple second, I reckon.”
The Fat Lady looked at your group, “You know, most of the students are already here.”
Winnie tilted her head, “But can’t we go to parties at any time after?”
The Fat Lady gave her a look that suggested that Winnie’s reply wasn’t one she particularly liked, “Well, apparently.” She sniffed.
The door slowly creaked open, and a head of red hair popped out from behind the painting. He grinned at your group, “Well, look what we have here.” Fred Weasly grinned, analysing your group, “You all 16?”
“Yup.” Elsie spoke for your group, disinterestedly checking her nails.
Fred hummed, “We’re gonna need a password anyways.”
“What?! But there was nothing about the password in the invitation!” Ramona and Mary’s friend babbled to your left, unmistakably irritated. From the corner of your eye, you saw Brian tilting her head. When you looked to your right, he and Winnie were frowning in perplexity.
“Goodness, I’ve never met 6th years so dense,” the Fat Lady groaned from another painting, fanning herself, “He’s obviously playing with you, now please go inside so I can sleep!”
You sighed. Of course, there was no password. Fred just found it funny to mess with a bunch of Slytherins, many of whom were deemed intelligent by their report cards. Fred snickered. If George was somewhere behind him, you couldn’t hear laughing.
Fred made a gesture with his head to follow him, and your party silently slipped into the dark Gryffindor common room. Sure, the walls were soundproof in every bedroom, but you glided soundlessly just in case.
“Once the passageway opens, you gotta all run, got it?” the redhead whispered, not looking for any affirmation from you.
He pressed a brick in the fireplace, then lightly tapped two others.
The wall slid to the side to reveal the interior of a room, and the loud chatter of 6 year students made you realise why everyone had to enter quickly. Fred was the first to slip in, and you went last. When you entered, the wall slid back into place.
Around you was a grand area a bit smaller than the common room, crowded with students your age or older drinking, playing games, or chatting. A hallway was across you, a badly drawn toilet sign hanging from a nail in the wall. While you were a bit annoyed at how dim the pink light was, you had to admit that the teachers would find it difficult to perceive it from the courtyard.
You felt a hand grab your hand.
You looked down to see Winnie. Next to her, her arm interlocked with Brian’s since they were closer height-wise. Elsie shuffled to your other side.
“We should look for Alistair,” you suggested, raising your voice to be heard over the other conversations around you.
Winnie nodded with excitement, “Uh huh! So he and Destiny can see how lovely our outfits look tonight!” You glanced at Elsie whose cheeks turned pink at the thought.
“Well, we’re gonna have to leave y’all here,” Ramona said. Mary and the other girl were already sinking into the sea of people. “Good luck finding your friend.” She saluted you with two fingers before walking away, running her hands through her red hair.
As you made your way through the crowd of people, you saw one of your other roommates: Ziggy Armstrong. He was next to a boy you presumed to be the best friend he frequently talked about whenever you hung out.
“Ziggy!”
The boy glanced at you at the sound of your voice but still eagerly listened to his friend's conversation. You brought your arms to a shrugging motion, shaking your hands silently asking for Alistair’s location.
Ziggy pointed behind him to a corner of the room where you could make out two people sitting awfully close.
You crinkled your nose at the thought of Alistair making out with his girlfriend and having to intervene in their... bonding session. It's not that you've never done anything of the sort, you just felt a tad uncomfortable seeing it happen, considering you never had feelings for the person you were with at the time. You gave Ziggy a thumbs up, only to see he’d gone back to engaging in his conversation.
“Over this way,” you pointed to where Alistair was.
Your group shuffled through the crowd, sliding past tightly cramped students and dodging the dancing teens to reach your friend. You led the way, and your friends rapidly followed suit.
You neared the duo, quickening your steps, when you saw them get up. You couldn't call out to Alistair and the person he was with — whom, to Elsie's displeasure, was Destiny White — since the chatter among the other people was too invasive and would muffle your shout.
Suddenly, someone walked in front of you. Since you hadn’t seen them, you ran face-first into them, foreheads bumping together, causing momentary pain in your skull. You felt liquid on your chest. It seemed whomever it was spilt their drinks when you crashed into them.
“(Name)!” Winnie and the rest of your party caught up to you to make sure you were fine, “Are you alright?”
“Yeah…” you groaned, obviously contradicting your statement.
A bit peeved, you glared at the person you bumped into through your lashes, pressing your naturally cold hands to your forehead, only to be met with a light grey glower from the worst person you could bump into at the moment: Cedric fucking Diggory.
He said something, but his words fell on deaf ears as you pushed past him.
You rushed to where Alistair was, only to find the space occupied by a group of Gryffindors laughing about the Triwizard Tournament's unexpected appearance.
You groused, throwing your hands into the air in frustration, before pivoting around to find your other friends.
They were still where you left them, Elsie and Brian waited for you arms crossed and deadpanned expressions, while Winnie hurried over to meet you, a look of worry etched on her soft features. She lightly grabbed your left arm, walking with you to the two others. You vaguely noticed Cedric had dissipated into the crowd.
“Don’t leave us alone with that Hufflepuff git again,” Elsie scolded, tapping your chest with her index finger.
You looked away, rubbing the back of your neck, which started heating up. It happened whenever you were embarrassed or flustered. Sometimes, when you felt ashamed. “Sorry, I was stupid,” you apologise, pressing your cold hand on your heated neck.
“Your shirt! There’s a spill!” Winnie gasped, pointing at your chest.
You looked down to see an orange stain on your white button-up, uncomfortably sticking to your skin. You cringed at the sight, feeling your nape growing hotter again. You couldn’t wear that shirt anymore unless you thoroughly washed it.
“Here,” Winnie removed the brown sweater you lent her and handed it back, “You need this more than me. Besides, I need to show off my fashion!” She twirled around and posed.
Elsie snorted, and Brian smiled, the skin of his burn mark stretching. You pulled the sweater onto your head, the corner of your mouth twitching upwards.
“I think we’ll be alright without Alistair,” Brain admitted, leaning to his right with a lopsided grin.
Winnie laughed in agreement.
You saw Elsie's slightly pained expression, and placed a hand on her shoulder, “We’re bound to cross paths with him at some point,” you added to Brian’s statement, although your words were primarily meant for Elsie’s ears.
“Yeah!! Let’s have fun tonight!!” Winnie pumped her fist into the air with delight, already advancing towards the food and drinks table.
“I don’t think I’d participate, personally,” Winnie shrugged, words slightly slurred from the two cups of alcohol she consumed, not sober, but not completely under the influence, “I’m not much of a competitive babe.”
You stirred your non-alcoholic (drink name) with a straw, a tinge of jealousy squeezing your heart. Since your birthday was later in the school year, you weren’t allowed to participate in the Triwizard Tournament — the infamous competition between Hogwarts and its rival schools your mother told you about when you were little.
What made it even worse was that Cedric could be participating. He was of age — well, would be soon — and no doubt had enough skill to be chosen as Hogwarts champion of this year. However, you were uncertain if he had it in him to act remotely aggressive towards the other school’s champions. Maybe he would try to get in just to rub it in your face.
Elsie smirked, “Yeah? Well I think I would. I’m 17 in less than a month.”
You felt a tap on your shoulder. You turned around to see Ziggy and his blonde best friend, a coy smile on his face, “Hey, we’re gonna play Spin the Bottle in a different room, wanna join?”
Your friends had stopped chatting; you responded with a nonchalant shrug, “Sure, I don’t see why not. Could be entertaining.”
“If (Name)’s in, I most certainly am, but don’t count on me kissing people on the lips specifically,” Brian chimed in, setting his drink down on the table next to the chips and suspicious-looking candy.
“Excellent,” Ziggy gave you a thumbs up, turning to the girls, he asked, “How about you ladies? Alistair’s gonna be there, too; it could be the full gang.”
Elsie perked up at the mention of Alistair before realising how odd it must have appeared, slouching back against the wall, eyes disinterested, “Alright, I’m in. How about you Winnie?”
Winnie frantically shook her head, chuckling as she spoke, “Absolutely not. I am not risking the bottle landing on my brother and I. No incest. Nope. Not today, perverts,” she rambled, waving her hand in the air in a tipsy manner.
Ziggy shrugged and started heading to a hallway you didn’t notice before, the blonde boy following after. Brian waved to Winnie and walked along with Ziggy. You stayed back to wait for Elsie.
“Alright,” she hesitated, “Are you fine with being alone here?”
Winnie smirked drunkenly, “Yeahhhh. But if you get bored, you can keep me company if you wanna.”
Elsie nodded in understanding, giving her a small smile, joining you as you caught up to the three other boys.
The room you entered was much smaller than the one you had been in moments before. Wooden shelves had been shoved closer to the stone grey walls, leaving space for the twenty-something students to sit comfortably in a wonky circle.
You recognised many people from your year, notably Alistair, Destiny, and — unfortunately — Cedric Diggory and his friends. You stuck to the opposite side of the room from where he was, slipping into a space next to Alistair. Destiny was busy talking to a Hufflepuff girl next to her and barely acknowledging your presence.
“Hello,” Alistair said and — to your surprise — he seemed sober, “Where have you been.”
“Searching for you,” Brian responded, settling next to you, “We gave up pretty early on, but it’s the thought that counts.”
Alistair laughed, “You’re here, Brian? I never thought your sad virgin ass would dare play a game like this. Even Elsie surprises me less. Nice skirt, by the way; it suits you.” He said nonchalantly.
Brian huffed and crossed his arms, light pink dusting his cheeks at being called out, while Elsie squinted in confusion, sliding next to you, “I’m not sure whether you’re saying that sarcastically or whether you’re serious. Is this a compliment?”
“Take it as you please.” Alistair shrugged.
“Alright, ladies and gentlemen,” you turned your head to the sound of Ziggy’s voice in the middle of the circle, “Welcome, to our lovely little game: Spin the Bottle! I trust all of you have heard of it at least once in your sorry little lives, so we’ll just get on with the activity.”
He settled next to his best friend, who placed a bottle in the middle of the circle. “I volunteer to spin it first,” the blonde says, twisting the bottle, spinning it around, and then crawling back to his spot.
You held your breath in anticipation as the glass bottle slowed, only to land back on the same person who spun it. He laughed, “I don’t think that counts.”
“No redos,” insisted Ziggy, teasingly punching him in the arm, “Don’t be greedy; it’s my turn now. We’ll go around the circle clockwise, so everyone will get to kiss someone at some point. And don’t think any kiss less than five seconds will count.” You muffled a chuckle as Brian longingly looked at the exit.
One by one, the students spun the bottle around. So far, it never pointed to either Elsie, Brian or you; it did, however, land on Alistair, who — rather passionately — snogged a Gryffindor girl, much to Elsie’s displeasure. You noticed Destiny’s smile wavering, a look of betrayal in her eyes. When it was her turn, her lips barely touched those of the boy the bottle landed on.
Next went Alistair. That meant he would kiss two people in the duration of the game, while the rest of your friends hadn’t even had one.
The bottle spun, anticipation raised. You could see at least three girls excluding his girlfriend and Elsie, sitting on edge with hope, eyes glued to the rotating glass. You had to admit, you wouldn’t complain if it pointed to you; you knew he was famous for not only his looks but for his sexual talents.
The bottle slowed and finally stopped.
You turned to your left to see Elsie’s shocked expression. You weren’t completely sure whether it was good that she would be kissing him or whether her lack of experience would ruin everything.
You realised that your thoughts were trying to excuse cheating, and glanced at Destiny’s oddly calm expression, her thin eyebrow knotted together in intrigue.
You scooted backwards so that Alistair and Elsie were directly beside each other.
Her cheeks were coated in a light pink blush, her eyes cast away from the pretty boy’s face, and you knew if you pressed your hand to her chest, you would feel her heart beat like rapid fire.
When Elsie’s gaze met Alistair’s, he frowned and shook his head. “I refuse.”
A wave of murmurs enveloped the crowd. Your eyes widened. Was this seriously going to end up in another argument?
“...What?” Elsie whispered a slimmer of confused betrayal and deep sadness could be noticed on her pale face.
“I said I don’t want to kiss you.”
“Wha-why not?” Elsie looked positively irritated, and frankly, a little embarrassed. “You kissed that other girl.” A few giggles could be heard from the students. You glanced over and saw Cedric gazing at your friend with empathy. Ziggy shared a glance with his best friend, a look of uncertainty.
Alistair shrugged, “Yeah, but that’s different. You’re just not really appealing to me. And why do you actually care? Do you like me or something?” He teased, but it seemed to strike a nerve.
Elsie’s already flushed cheeks turned as red as her chequered skirt, “Of course not! Why would you think that?” She glanced at the spectacle of onlookers, “I just, um.” She trailed off, and got up frantically, wiping the nonexistent dust from her skirt, “I don’t feel like playing anymore.”
She spun on her heel and rapidly exited the room.
You quickly got up to follow, but Alistair grabbed your shoulder, a gaze of newly-found maturity in his eyes, “No, (Name), let me handle things.”
He left, and you apprehensively sat back down, sharing a worried glance with Brian. Destiny got up and left, mumbling an illegible excuse. Now that three people you knew were gone, the room felt awfully spacious.
Without missing a beat, Ziggy attempted to restore the ambience, “Alright! I believe it’s your turn, (Name).”
You nodded silently, pushing your anxiety to the back of your mind; Alistair had it handled, you were sure. It was about time he learned how to be responsible and apologise.
You crawled to the middle of the circle and spun the bottle — not as fast as Alistair since you didn’t like the anticipation.
Your eyes wandered over to the door. Maybe it was because you were worried about Elsie’s mental state. Maybe it was because you didn’t completely trust Alistair with handling her emotions.
You felt Brian tap your thigh. “(Name)? You’re not gonna like this.”
“Hm?” You snapped your attention back to the room, gaze falling onto the bottle pointing in the opposite direction. Your eyes slowly lifted to see who the person you were supposed to kiss.
That’s when you realised what Brian meant by you not liking who it landed on.
You and Cedric’s gazes connected, a tornado of emotion whirling in your eyes, a storm of hatred between you.
“Alright, now, please, proceed to kiss.” Ziggy insisted.
“I pass.”
“So do I.”
You and Cedric glared at one another. There was no way you were kissing that dickhead. You’d rather die, and you could say the feeling was mutual for him.
Ziggy groaned, “Don’t stall. As a punishment, you’ve got to kiss for at least ten seconds. Now, my little lovebirds, kiss before I make you use your tongues.” Your neck started heating up at the thought.
You don’t know what made you do it — maybe curiosity, maybe Ziggy’s threat, possibly something else — but you shuffled closer to Cedric, who, noticing that you were complying, decided to do it as well, refusing to back down from your nonexistent challenge.
Your heartbeat in your chest, your breath quickened from nervousness, or perhaps you were nauseated enough by him that your adrenaline energised you.
“Reminder: ten seconds!” you perceived Ziggy’s voice in the background, “We’ll count for you.”
You took a deep breath through your nose, eyes flickering from Cedric’s lips to his cold grey eyes, and leaned in. Noticing you had already taken action, the Hufflepuff hesitantly did the same.
You closed your eyes and felt his lips brush against yours before connecting in a surprisingly soft kiss.
“Ten,” you faintly heard the other students chant, counting along in your head.
His lips were rather soft, you noted, subconsciously pressing your mouth harder against his.
“Nine.”
An unknown feeling crept into your chest, as you and Cedric, seemed to be pressing up against one another, while also desperately trying to pull away.
Eight.
Your heartbeat quickened, a thumping drum against your ribcage.
Seven.
Your hot neck kept getting hotter, uncomfortably so, as the kiss prolonged. It hadn’t even been five seconds — or perhaps it had been and your peers were just teasing you, intentionally taking their time counting.
Six.
You imagined what Brian might have looked like at the current moment. Shocked? Annoyed? You knew if Alistair saw you and Cedric, lip to lip, he would have flipped a table.
You breathed through your nose, in sync with your rival, like waves pulling in and out from the tide.
How long had you and Cedric been kissing? Had it already been ten seconds? Should you pull away? Or was it not over yet, and if you stopped, you had to restart the whole experience?
A small voice in your head spoke, a whisper of wind echoing through your thoughts. Maybe you should stay like this for a bit longer. It wasn’t like you didn’t enjoy it. Cedric’s lips were soft and warm.
In that instant, your body felt burning, as if a sudden wave of embarrassment decided to envelop you, like a heated reminder that you’ve been kissing the one person in the entire room you felt hostility towards.
Oh shit.
You backed away, an odd sense of unfulfillment in your racing heart as your lips parted from Cedric’s.
You looked at him, into his gorgeous stone grey eyes, and, if you weren’t blushing already, you were now.
You scrambled up, trying to maintain a decently dignified composer. Your jaw tightened, and your (eye colour) eyes hardened into cold gems, not a single emotion behind your gaze.
“I’m leaving,” you announced to the group, still staring at Cedric. The world around him and you faded like a smoky memory.
Slowly, you backed away, attempting to ignore the hotness of your nape and the thumping of your heart, beating loudly in your eardrums until you finally broke eye contact with the Hufflepuff as you walked back into the main party space.
...
Thank you for reading, please comment any suggestions you have or any issues I should fix.
If y'all are interested, here's how I imagined Elsie would look during the party.

"my white dress is getting wet, and your lips taste like vanilla..."
.
the heat was ruining you all summer.
bright rays the sun sent out through the window of the diggorys home blinding you as you slip your white summer dress on
the heat didn't even creep up on you as sweat stayed put on your pores and your face gave a sheen
as you made your way downstairs and heard pots and pans shifting, remembering the fact that you were going over to the Weasleys for lunch, making your way to the kitchen you saw Mrs.Diggory taking that opportunity as she washed the dishes
you leaned your head against the doorway and closed your eyes and let the cold fan run over you, just for a colder hand to be placed on your shoulder.
you melted into it as your eyes dizzily opened to see Cedric. he grinned, leaning down to kiss you as his mom scolded him
"help me out with these dishes, Ced." she sighed, wiping her hands on a rag as Cedric moved towards the sink without hesitation
"So.." you start,
"Do the Weasleys have a pool by any chance?" you question, slightly begging for a yes, jumping into cold water sounds like a dream right now.
you got a sympathetic smile from Cedrics' mother as she shook her head
"afraid not, but there's a lake close to their home...sure that's about as hot as the air though."
you almost winced at her answer, closing your eyes again as the sticky heat molded to your body
"Is it..." you heard Cedrics voice question, your eyes shot open and saw his squinting in front of the kitchen window above the sink
"raining?"
you gasped, running over to him as you poked your head to see for yourself. blue sky foggy and the grass lush as rain sprinkled everywhere, you let a surprised laugh escape your lips and rushed outside with Cedrics' hand in yours
you giggled when the warm rain met your skin, the humidity dying down as the thin rain coated you and the sky was no longer golden but a deep blue
you ran in the slippery grass as it relished in the drink just as much as you did, you turned to pull Cedric closer as the grin never left both of your lips
you moved to lock your lips together as the taste of vanilla flooded your tongue, your fingers slid easily on his hair to bring him closer as the summer blessed you with rain.

pair: Cedric Diggory x reader summery: y/n(she/her) finds out Cedric died during the Triwizard tournament
masterlist | navigation
❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿
The world slowed around Y/N as Cedric's lifeless body appeared on the Quidditch pitch, limp and cold in the golden twilight. Her heart hammered in her chest, denying what her eyes were telling her. This couldn’t be real. Not Cedric. Not him.
The cheers that had erupted when the Triwizard Cup reappeared now faltered into an eerie silence, and all Y/N could hear was the ragged sound of her breathing as she pushed through the crowd, desperate to reach him. Her legs felt like they were made of lead, her mind clouded with disbelief. Someone was calling her name, but she couldn’t focus on it, couldn’t focus on anything except the sight of Cedric lying still on the ground.
She dropped to her knees beside him, her shaking hands reaching out to touch his face. "Cedric," she whispered, her voice trembling, barely audible. He was cold. Too cold.
Dumbledore's voice echoed distantly, telling the students to step back, but she couldn’t move. She couldn’t leave him like this. "Cedric, please..." Her throat tightened, and tears began spilling down her cheeks, leaving a burning trail behind. "Wake up. You promised... you promised me you'd come back."
But there was no response, no hint of the warm smile she loved so much, no reassuring touch of his hand against hers. He was gone, and she couldn’t stop the sob that tore from her chest, raw and heart-wrenching. Everything around her blurred—faces, voices, the world itself. Her heart felt like it was shattering, piece by piece, with every breath she took. Cedric was gone, and there was nothing she could do to bring him back.

The prettiest girl
Link to my masterlist here
Pairing: Cedric Diggory x reader
Word count: 1.3k
Summary: You’re at a Halloween party in the Hufflepuff common room when Cedric asks to dance with you.
A/N: I know it’s not Halloween but for some reason the idea to write this story hit me about a week ago. Also it’s low key inspired from that one scene at the party from season 2 episode 6 of Ghost Whisperer. And I’m still working on my other stories.
Tumblr media
You self-consciously tugged your short skirt down your legs and adjusted your stockings as you twirled around in front of the full length mirror. Your angel costume was far sexier than anything you’ve ever worn in your life, so you weren’t used to showing this much skin in front of other people. You considered asking the other girls to check you for their opinions, but considering that you were one who was mostly known for keeping to yourself, you decided not to. Of course you wanted to look your absolute best for the last Halloween party you’d be attending at Hogwarts before you graduated.
You were also nervous. What if other people didn’t like your costume? You weren’t very resourceful, so it wasn’t like you made it yourself from scratch like how other students have done with their costumes. You had planned ahead and had taken a trip to a Muggle costume shop before school started, purchasing a corset, a halo, wings, a skirt, a pair of stockings, and high heels, all white. Since you were a witch, you had the advantage of being able to use magic to make the halo float above your head wherever you went, adding a layer of authenticity to your costume.
By the time you came out of your dorm, the party had already started in the common room. You weren’t the only student that had gone all out, just about everyone else was dressed up, like with every Halloween party you’ve been to, and the common room almost looked completely different than how it looked the rest of the school year. In contrast to the sunny warmth that your house colors provided, tonight it was a reflection of the starry dark skies casted with a chill that reminded you of those horror or mystery novels. Of course your costume stood out because of that. You were like a drop of pure white snow shining through a big shadow of darkness.
You sensed other people’s eyes on you, yet you felt more comforted by convincing yourself that no one else was paying attention to you, just as it always was.
Still keeping your head down, you turned to the punch bowl and poured yourself a drink. Taking small sips, you looked around at all the dancing couples or groups of friends. It’s not that you were jealous, you just couldn’t help wondering what your school days would’ve been like if you were a different type of person, one who was more outgoing and bold. Would you have been sorted into the house you were in now? Probably not, but it didn’t hurt you to wonder about different ways your life could have turned out.
Your ears perked up when you noticed the difference in the change of music. The slow, alluring melody had replaced the loud, wild beats. You saw the center of the room occupied by couples in their embrace, alone in each other’s arms. Seeing as you never had someone to share that moment with, you also wondered what it’d be like to be in someone else’s arms like that. Would you feel as if the world around you didn’t exist? Or would you feel self-conscious and too aware of the imaginary judging?
You took another sip of your punch, wondering if maybe you should have spiked your own drink with vodka.
You turned your back to the party and were about to get another drink when you felt a tap on your shoulder.
You didn’t expect to be face to face with Cedric Diggory, the captain of your house’s Quidditch team who also happened to be the most popular boy in school, at least from what you heard. For some reason he decided to dress up as a vampire. At least that’s what you assumed. Not that you were complaining. You adored reading stories about vampires and other supernatural creatures.
You didn’t know what to say to Cedric, not that you ever do. You remembered how he’d smile and wave at you in the corridors or say hello in between classes. There were also those times where he could have chosen any of the numerous vacant seats to study at in the library, but for some reason he’d always ask if the seat next to yours was taken, and instead of responding to him in words, you’d only manage to shake your head.
And now, here he was, with his hand reaching out towards you, calling your name. “Would you like to dance with me?”
He was smiling confidently, like someone who knew they reached their goal or was about to reach their goal.
You decided you didn’t care about distracting yourself with your drink anymore, so you ditched it for better company.
You took Cedric’s hand and watched as it engulfed yours. You tried not to trip in your heels as he led you to where the other people were dancing.
You didn’t think your heartbeat would ever calm down as he placed his hands on your waist and smiled at you in a way that always made you get butterflies in your stomach. With those same butterflies continuing to flutter, you took a deep breath as you reached your hands up onto his shoulders.
He must have sensed your unsureness, as he was the one to take the lead, guiding you slowly through the music with small steps.
You felt your cheeks burn the deepest shade of red. This was the closest you had ever been to Cedric. You could have sworn his eyes kept going down to your lips as he subtly licked his own bottom lip. You wondered just what he could be thinking.
You hadn’t noticed that the song had ended until you heard his voice. “You’re the prettiest girl here.” He said, as he stroked his thumb across your cheek before tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. You didn’t know a gesture so small could have such a big effect on you, making your heart skip a beat and melt at the same time.
“You’re always the prettiest girl everywhere you are.” He continued. You couldn’t believe he said that about you. You heard other students and even the teachers around the school talk about how amazing Cedric is, and you didn’t think in a million years he’d spare the time in his day to pay attention to you.
“Really? You think I’m pretty?” Those were the most words you’d ever spoken to him in one sentence.
“Yeah, most of the guys think so too. I didn’t think you noticed. Guess I was right.” You felt your cheeks flush as a not so subtle smirk made its way onto Cedric’s face.
You let the conversation die down as the next song came on. You almost gasped as you felt Cedric lightly digging his thumbs into your hips, rubbing them in circles as he pulled you against his chest, right where you could feel and hear his heartbeat against your cheek.
Letting one of his hands go from your hip, he switched to running his fingers through your hair, an action you quickly found to be comforting.
When the song ended, he held you at arm’s length, and you were once again reminded of how small you were compared to him both in physical size and notoriety. Since you couldn’t bring yourself to look him in the eyes, you were at eye-level with chest.
“Can I kiss you?” He asked as he put his fingers under your jaw and lifted your gaze to his eyes, searching for any sign of discomfort. His deep husky voice made your heart melt as well as the unexpected request.
You nodded, and you both leaned into each other. When his lips touched yours, you felt an electrifying sensation spread throughout your entire body.
Even though you weren’t expecting to share a kiss that night with the most popular boy in school, you were very pleased with the outcome.

Everything But Time | Fred Weasley
Tumblr media
Fred Weasley never thought he’d fall for a Slytherin girl. Nathalie Adams never thought she’d fall for the class clown.
Warning: Mature themes/language. Violence. Sexual content.
Chapter One: Wrapped Around Her Finger
She was everything. The way she walked, and the way she talked, and the way her hair fell effortlessly over her shoulders was something of a marvel. Only, Fred Weasley didn’t think so, or so he said.
Fred Weasley was a proud Gryffindor; he never in a million years would have betrayed the honor of his House by consorting with a rival Slytherin. It was just out of the question. No matter what all the other boys in his year said, and no matter how short her skirts got, he remained vigilant and kept his unspoken promise to himself never to give her the time of day, even if he had no reason to suspect Nathalie Adams even wanted it.
“Look at her,” Fred’s younger sister, Ginny Weasley, said almost spitefully at dinner one night early on in his sixth year. “You can’t even tell her apart from one of the Beauxbatons girls. With her shiny hair, and perfect nails, and rosy cheeks…”
Everyone sitting with them at the Gryffindor table gave her a strange look as she blushed aggressively and redirected her focus to her plate in silence.
“She is quite the vision,” George Weasley, Fred’s twin, remarked dreamily. “Isn’t she, Ronniekins?”
Ron Weasley, who was a year older than Ginny, also grew a bright shade of pink, scowling at his brother.
“Why are you asking me?” he muttered defensively.
“Because you’re the one who drooled into your soup staring at her,” Fred replied, completely matter-of-fact.
“I did not!”
“Did too,” Harry Potter checked him.
“What about you, Harry?” Fred cocked his head at Ron’s best friend. “What are your thoughts on the topic of Nathalie Adams?” he said her name with a mocking lilt to it.
“I… hardly know her,” Harry responded reasonably.
Ginny just rolled her eyes at his innocence.
“Whether you know her isn’t the question, it’s whether you’d like to,” George explained with a mischievous grin.
“You boys are gross,” Ginny said disapprovingly.
“So gross,” Hermione Granger, Ron and Harry’s other respective best friend, agreed.
“Well…”
Harry thought for a minute.
“She’s two grades above us,” he concluded.
“Cho’s one grade above us,” Ron teased him.
Once again, Ginny rolled her eyes at the mention of Cho Chang, the girl Harry was too afraid to openly ask out.
“It’s alright, you know, Harry,” Fred told him wisely, “Liking older women. They’re usually more experienced, and that’s never a bad thing. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”
Hermione shook her head, mortified as Ginny looked at the two of them sharply. “You know, people are trying to eat here?”
“Trust me, so am I,” Fred quipped, earning a clap on the back from George and laughs from Harry and Ron, as well as Lee Jordan.
“So, Harry,” Ron wondered. “What are your thoughts on the blonde Slytherin?”
“Erm…”
He tried to collect his thoughts as he glanced over at the Slytherin table, searching for Nathalie Adams. He eventually found her, sitting with her friends not too far from Pansy Parkinson and the other popular Slytherin girls in their year at Hogwarts. He definitely saw her appeal; she had long whitish hair, and porcelain skin that might as well have been made of clouds, and not to mention, she was tall and graceful. She truly did look just like one of the French girls from Beauxbatons.
“She’s… nice,” Harry tried to compliment her chivalrously, knowing that Ginny Weasley was listening expectantly.
“Nice, indeed,” George agreed, much to his twin’s disappointment. “She could slap me across the face, and I’d thank her.”
“I think that’s just a ‘you’ problem, Georgie,” Lee stated, earning hearty laughs from the group.
*****
Nathalie Addams had everything a sixteen year-old girl could want; she came from a reputable family and maintained excellent grades. She was beautiful, and it certainly did not go unnoticed. To the Slytherin boys, she was the epitome of beauty, and class. Draco Malfoy, for one, had made plenty of jokes to his fellow Slytherin boys about telling his father that he wanted her for his birthday.
As a sixth-year, Nathalie Adams had become easily one of the most talked-about girls at Hogwarts, even amongst the other Houses. Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, even Gryffindor. It didn’t matter; they all believed her to be the standard.
Equally popular among Hogwarts students was a seventh-year Hufflepuff, Cedric Diggory, Hogwarts’ resident pretty boy. Cedric was very much a Hufflepuff; although he had his talents, he was most easily recognized for his good looks and his excellent performance as Seeker on the Hufflepuff Quidditch team.
He was quite popular amongst the boys and girls alike, and although he could have chosen just about any of the girls at Hogwarts, which wasn’t really an understatement, he didn’t find himself particularly in the mood to play the field in his last year at Hogwarts. Cedric Diggory was much more the kind of person to seek out one girl in particular, and in the first few weeks of his seventh year, he was beginning to feel that Nathalie Adams could very well be that girl.
Of course, he had never spoken to her before. He had never actually met Nathalie Adams, and only knew her from watching long successions of people in the halls. He hadn’t even known her name until he had asked a friend of his the year before. From then on, Cedric was determined to speak to her, and get to know her. Cedric Diggory was a very driven young man, the kind of person who knew where he saw himself in five, ten, fifteen years.
Fifteen or so years in the future, Cedric saw himself comfortable and successful with a stable career, and having at least one child to love and nurture. And in this dream of his, he could see the mother of that child being Nathalie Adams.
“Are you going to talk to her, mate?” William Albert snapped him out of his trance as they completed their Transfiguration worksheets.
“Yeah, soon,” Cedric said in a hushed voice, mortified as he looked around them to make sure no one had heard.
In the past half hour, he had only written his name and the answers to two questions on his piece of parchment; he was too distracted by Nathalie and her long blonde hair on the other side of the aisle.
“Well, you’d better get on with it, then” his friend advised him. “Before Weasley beats you to it.”
Cedric looked across the room in a panic. Sure enough, there was his friend Fred Weasley, talking to Nathalie as he sat behind her. He muttered a curse under his breath, unable to hear or make out what they were saying.
“Can you stop?” Nathalie stared back at the long-haired Weasley twins. “You’re getting my parchment wet.”
Due to the disruption that the three of them had been causing, Professor McGonall had sat Lee Jordan in front of Nathalie, separating him from the twins. Naturally, this did not stop the twins from firing the Water-Making spell at him every time the professor’s back was turned. And naturally, their aim was a bit hit or miss.
“My apologies,” Fred Weasley said smoothly, offering a cocky smile as his eyes started to wander. “Perhaps I could make it up to you?”
“You could make it up to me by shutting the fuck up,” she stared angrily.
“That’s not very nice,” Fred pouted, turning to his brother. “Was it, George?”
“Indeed, it wasn’t,” George Weasley instigated.
“And why would I be worried about being nice to you?” she raised an eyebrow.
“I could make it worth your while,” Fred said softly, his flirting obscenely obvious.
“In your dreams, Weasley.”
“Oh, if only you knew,” he whispered with a playful smile.
Nathalie just rolled her eyes, turning back around in her seat as the twins just grinned at one another. Nathalie’s unmatched looks put her at the very top of the social hierarchy, and she knew how to take advantage of it. Everyone wanted her, whether it was as a friend, or more. Speaking to her was a privilege in high demand, and she knew not to oversaturate the market.
Even Cedric Diggory, who was one of the few boys at school who was actually in her league, was reduced to a hopeful nobody when it came to her.
“Ced. You need to ask Nathalie out before someone beats you to it,” William urged his best friend as they walked through the halls, approaching the courtyard where Nathalie and her friends were.
“I’m sure three people have already asked her out since class ended,” Cedric remarked.
“Before she says yes to someone,” William corrected himself.
“Well, what do you suggest I say to her, then?” Cedric questioned.
“I don’t know,” William admitted. “Just walk up to her, and ask her out.”
“Oh, is that all?”
Cedric’s voice was dripping with sarcasm.
“You’re a Triwizard Champion,” William rationalized, “There’s no way she’ll say no.”
“That doesn’t mean anything,” Cedric sighted.
“To a Slytherin girl?” William pointed out. “Yes, it does.”
“I don’t know, Will. She seems hard to talk to.”
“Isn’t that a challenge you’re willing to take on?” William asked.
Cedric sighed, just standing at the edge of the courtyard as the other two girls sitting by Nathalie got up to leave, leaving her alone on the bench. She seemed perfectly content, pulling a book out of her bag. One of the first things Cedric had ever noticed about her was that she actually liked to read.
“Look; she’s alone,” William pointed out. “Now’s your chance.”
“I don’t know,” Cedric murmured, “Are you sure I won’t make her uncomfortable?”
“Go,” William urged him, emphasizing his point by giving him a little shove.
Cedric looked back at him, embarrassed as he slowly walked toward the center the courtyard. Nathalie certainly looked beautiful as she read her book in peace, closed off to the world. She was beautiful, but also quite intimidating. Cedric very slowly and timidly approached her, lightly clearing his throat before announcing himself.
“Hi,” he said, as she slowly looked up.
She seemed indifferent in her reaction, marking her page in the book with her finger as she spoke.
“Hey,” she said, not sure as to what he wanted.
“I’m Cedric,” he introduced himself, politely offering his hand.
Nathalie glanced down at his hand with a smirk, looking back up at him knowingly. She accepted his hand, and he gave hers a gentle shake.
“Hi, Cedric,” she remarked.
“You’re Nathalie, right?” he asked her.
She nodded, a stoic expression on her face as she insisted upon maintaining an advantageous status over him. “That’s right.”
“How are you, Nathalie?” Cedric Diggory asked chivalrously.
“Well,” she replied.
Cedric felt himself getting hot. Making small talk was becoming increasingly difficult.
“We have Transfiguration together, right?” Nathalie recalled.
He was relieved to hear that she was at least aware of his existence.
“And Potions, and History of Magic,” Cedric nodded with a charming smile.
Nathalie’s mouth curled into a smirk that she, for the most part, hid. His attempt at making conversation with her was adorable. Nathalie had to admit, Cedric Diggory was probably the best-looking boy at Hogwarts by far, with his auburn curls, and rosy cheeks. Not to mention, he towered over her, which not many boys could do as she was rather tall for a girl.
“Yeah…” she remembered, beginning to see an angle. “You’ve got pretty good marks in History of Magic, right?” she asked him, slyly running her fingers through her blonde hair.
Cedric had to clear his throat as he forced himself not to be distracted by her perfect waves, which framed her pale, heart-shaped face in the most beautiful way.
“Erm, yeah, yeah, I got an O last term,” he confirmed, reminding himself to appear confident.
Nathalie smiled, her demeanor gradually softening as she crossed her feet in front of her, tilting her head playfully as she spoke to him.
“You know, I can never understand a thing that Professor Binns says. He’s so dull, and lifeless. He’s practically asleep half the time he talks,” she commented.
“Yeah, he’s so boring,” Cedric agreed immediately, chuckling as he realized he might actually stand a chance here.
“Say, Cedric,” Nathalie looked up at him with the most enticing feigned and exaggerated doe eyes, “Would you like to get together and study some time?”
Cedric nearly gasped, shocked that it was this easy.
“Yeah! Yeah, I would,” he nodded. “I’d like that.”
Nathalie nodded appreciatively. “Yeah, it’s just… We have that essay coming up, and I hardly know what to write.”
“Well, we could definitely figure something out,” he promised her, his kind brown eyes locked onto her hazel ones.
Her eyes had this strange magnetic quality to him, as if they were two chasms of greens and browns, sucking him in and consuming him. Nathalie’s beauty was unlike anything he’d ever seen. The most comparable thing to it that he’d seen in nature was probably the Black Lake, bottomless and dangerous.
“Sounds good,” Nathalie beamed, allowing him to believe that he knew the game they were playing. “When are you free next?”
“How about tomorrow afternoon? After classes,” Cedric suggested.
“Works for me,” she said softly. “The library?”
“Yes,” he answered, glad they had come to an arrangement.
Nathalie knew she had Cedric wrapped around her finger. He watched as she walked away, unable to ignore the elegant figure she cut beneath her school uniform. The green and silver would look good alongside his yellow and black, he thought. Cedric’s thoughts were eventually interrupted by the curiosity of his casual friends, the Weasley twins.
“Was that Nathalie Adams you were talking to?” Fred inquired.
George looked over at him knowingly, fully aware that he already knew this.
“Yeah,” Cedric responded with a delighted smile. “We have a study date in the library tomorrow.”
“Study date, you say?” George echoed, glancing at his brother.
“Well. We’re meeting to study,” Cedric said nonchalantly.
“Good luck with that, mate,” Fred offered, which was naturally met with confusion.
Cedric frowned. “What makes you say that?”
“I dunno,” Fred replied coolly. “Just… Nathalie’s a slippery one. Tricky little minx, she is.”
“She seemed perfectly nice to me,” Cedric shrugged.
“Because that’s what she wanted,” Fred told him, fully intending to instigate. “She’s a smart one. Likes to play games; takes a special kind of bloke to keep up with a girl like that,” Fred stated, hinting to him.
“You think?” Cedric asked him.
This thought hadn’t necessarily crossed his mind yet.
“Just be careful with her, is all,” George Weasley advised him. “It’s like handling a snake; you don’t know if it’s poisonous, but even if it’s not you could still lose a finger.”
“Might be best to leave this one to someone a bit more experienced,” Fred offered with a shrug, giving him a supportive pat on the back before the twins disappeared, leaving Cedric alone with his thoughts.

flowers bloomed where he walked
angels sang when he talked.
you laid your head down on your pillow as thoughts of cedric diggory saturated each thought in your head, until even in unconsciousness you would be thinking of him. and he would brighten your dreams with a radiant haze, a golden hue, that left you with a faint smile upon your lips as you slept and dreamt.
in your own world, the one where you were happiest and the least alone, cedric was nothing short of perfect, nothing short of wonderful. in this world, the one that didn’t exist, you truly believed there was a chance he could like you back even a fraction of the amount you adored him. you could believe anything in this world and it would come true.
only would you snap back to reality when the smile you cast him across the room went unreciprocated, because he didn’t notice you. if he knew your name, that was as close to being friends as you were and might ever be. but you were so often thinking about him, it felt like you knew him. it was a harsh reality you were faced with when he reminded you day after day you didn’t know him at all.
but in your little world, you knew him.
but that wasn’t really him.
and today, as you sat captivated by the boy who seemed to be surrounded by a golden aura, you sighed heavily, wondering how you could have ever thought someone like him would fall for someone like you. someone who dulled in comparison, someone who was only tepid alongside someone so vivacious.
as class was dismissed, you packed your things slowly, absentmindedly as you caressed your sorrows gently, in the hopes they wouldn’t be too unforgiving, unbeknownst to the group of boys teasing cedric for turning pink. turning to leave, you dragged your heels against the stone floor, intently listening to the odd sound of friction from your own feet that you hardly noticed that of anyone else’s. not even the footsteps running up from behind you.
or your name being called repeatedly.
“y/n!” a voice called, followed by a hand on your shoulder. “blimey, you’re a fast one,” cedric chuckled.
bewilderment was slow to wear off, leading cedric to speak again when faced with your silence.
“are you alright?”
“yeah! are you?” you forced out, wondering if something was wrong or if you’d left something in class.
“yeah. can i carry your books?” he asked, a smile gracing his features.
“why?” you asked curiously.
he scoffed awkwardly. “well i don’t have to,” he said, rubbing the back of his neck.
“no!” you said quickly, shoving your books into his stomach and then turning to walk down the hall again.
cedric snickered a little, but caught up again with your books in his hands, just walking alongside you in silence as he thought about the best way to broach the subject after that encounter.
“do you need the answers for the homework or something?” you asked. “i haven’t finished yet but-”
“no, i don’t,” he interrupted you, but calmed your nerves with a charming smile. “actually i wanted to ask if you had any plans this weekend?”
stopping in front of your next classroom, to which you were five minutes early, you shook your head. cedric stopped too, recognising the charms classroom and asking if this was your next lesson.
“yes,” you replied, and he handed you your books back carefully, fingertips brushing against yours.
“not a bad end to the day,” he commented. “anyway, would you want to go to hogsmeade with me, then?”
“me?!”
“well, yeah. i’m asking you, aren’t i?”
it’s as if you were in your own little world again, a dreamlike state, which forced you to snap the hair tie on your wrist against your skin, wondering if it would startle you awake. but you stayed right where you were, and cedric looked more nervous by the second, the more you inflicted silence upon him.
“are you sure?”
“quite,” he laughed.
before you answered, you looked around the deserted corridors for someone peeking behind a corner and listened carefully to the quietness for the sound of chuckling in the distance. but there was nothing but cedric waiting patiently for your response, rocking between the toes and heels of his feet, hands in his pockets with his shoulders tensed.
“i’d love to,” you said quietly.
“great!” beamed cedric, running a hand through his hair, releasing a breathy laugh.
as students began to filter into the corridor, walking to and from their lessons, cedric kissed you on the cheek before strutting down the hall, leaving you in awe.
“see you saturday, 12pm!” he shouted as he turned around.
but today, thursday at 2:03pm in the afternoon, was the day your own little world and the world you were forced to live in everyday, shifted into each other’s orbit and began to merge together. the day you realised cedric diggory thought of you too.
