So, I was in the middle of writing the other post for the kitties, part 2, but something came up.
There has been this kitty I have been trying to find and catch since December 2022 and news from the lady I had been working with, who actually lives near her, finally popped up again. Wren and I were out shopping for the new house and we barely got to the store when I got a phone call. I almost didn't answer it, but I saw that it was a local area code and it could have been someone from the local social security office calling so I answered. It was someone with the kitty rescue I work with calling to say there was a lady trying to get a hold of me for a Momma cat and some babies but had lost my number. I immediately knew who it was and called her.
Once I got a hold of her she said someone had seen the Mom and she had 4 babies in tow. It was kinda up in the air whether or not she had them as we had never seen them, it was just suspected. So this was the first confirmation that she really had them. We talked for a little about what to do, and we ended up deciding to get more food for her as she didn't have any. So, I grabbed some food and headed over there. I didn't have a carrier with me at the time, and unfortunately didn't go back to my house to get one as 1, I was already halfway there and 2, I thought I was just dropping off food. This turned out to be a mistake.
So after we got the food and headed over to the apartment complex, I saw the woman I had been working with walking around with some kids. I quickly parked and she said these kids had seen them just a minute ago! So we followed them, but then they said they had run off and we couldn't find them. I gave all 3 kids my phone number so they could contact me if they saw them. We ended up talking to a guy that had been feeding them, apparently Mom had actually had the, originally 5, kittens on his patio. He hadn't seen them for 2 days but we got his number and he said he would call if he sees anything. I gave the food we had bought to the woman, which turned out to be a mistake as well, and she went to put it in her apartment. After she came back out she said she had some stuff to do and would see us another day and call her with any news.
Right as I was saying goodbye to the man who had been feeding them, he said he could no longer afford it so he stopped, I got a phone call. It was one of the kids saying they found all of the kitties on someone's porch! So, of course, it was on the other side of the apartment complex but once we got nearby the kids ushered us over. After months I finally got to see Momma cat, and confirm that there were babies as well. We attempted to catch them, but like I said earlier, we didn't have a carrier. We were able to wrangle 2 babies and Momma, but the other two got away. So we put them in the vehicle, went to PetSmart and got a carrier, and came back to catch the rest. We saw them, and had a couple close calls but didn't end up catching them. I got the numbers of the ladies who lived there, an older mother and daughter pair. They apparently had been feeding them as well and the daughter is really attached to them. They had tried to keep Mom when she had no babies with her, but have two cats of their own and it didn't work out. It was getting dark and they are dark colored cats, all of them, so we headed out and promised to come back for the other 2. This was on Tuesday. The last two days we have gone back to try and catch them as well. Wednesday we hadn't seen them, so we decided to not come up unless we got a call. Well, Thursday after work I got a call from one of the kids saying they saw the other 2 kittens! We rushed over there, with a carrier and some canned food this time, and we almost got them. The daughter had been out there for 2 hours before we did and we were there for at least an hour and a half. We planned to come back on Saturday, since we were both off, with Mom and try to catch them then. I left the carrier with them with some food and a blanket that smells like Momma. We weren't going to let Mom out, just try to lure them in with her smell and sound, she is very vocal. We had been playing Marco Polo with the babies on Thursday, they were crying and then we would mew back and they would answer. So that gave us the idea to bring Mom.
Saturday came and we ended up bringing Mom and the babies just in case, Mom in one and the two boys in the other. It only took us about 10-15 minutes to catch them both. One we caught as he was hopping out of the patio with a towel. The other got away to some steps up to another apartment but we blocked him with a sheet and we're able to snatch him up as well. We brought them straight to the vet after that.
There is a lot more that has happened with this than I am capturing in this post, so if you guys are interested in hearing more of what happened just let me know I can write more! I would be happy to!

one more thing
"Go on Bonnet, give me your worst!" is the single most pathetic line of dialogue in the whole show so far.
Stede comes in, and they all know he just saw the dead body of the love of his life. He's not agitated, he's not crying, he's just. Completely broken. Visibly holding himself up by force of will alone.
Izzy is the only one who can bear to look him in the face. And what does he have for him?
Punish me. Lash out at me, so I don't have to sit with my own feelings.
Nobody else is looking at him. Nobody else is asking anything of him. Only Izzy.
This is the worst moment of your life, now make it about me.

thinking about kab and the thing about her i think is she knows just enough to keep herself safe Generally but not enough to really predict what would happen should something more... complicated??? unforeseen??? idk whats the right word to use but something not covered by someones reputation and/or vids happen, believe it or not this also affects her view of clownpierce (we'll get to that)
for example, mapicc has a reputation for being an violent, angry, & impulsive guy and nothing else which makes sense but is incredibly surface level and something that only really works if you dont have a lot of experience working with him
another is reddoons, his betrayal after the base incident while shocking is not unforeseen but his reputation as being a guy whos seen as being a reasonable person whos fairly loyal to his team made it seem like something he wouldnt do even tho it absolutely is
regarding how it affects her view of clown, since he isnt perfectly aligned with his reputation she instead pivots in the complete opposite direction and forgiving basically every crime he does even tho hes something much more mild and complicated than either his reputation or her view of him will ever be (think madonna-whore complex which is especially obvious when it comes to kabs vs woogies view of him)
another side effect of this Just Enough amount of knowledge aside from being blinded by her own expectations is that it frustrates ppl who think shes oversimplificating things (like me and seemingly several other tumblr users as well) especially when she claims that shes objectively correct and the smartest in the room at any given moment
how this roughness in her analysis affects her in the server still has yet to be fully seen but we do still have at least a couple months until the end but 'til then shes just gonna keep stumbling as more and more complicated situations pop up as is typical in lifesteal to happen and eventually shes gonna have to learn to adapt or else she'll be suffering the consequences one way or another

Louis' "You're boring!" Could mean so many things, but I think what's most apparent about that line is that Armand takes no initiative just for himself. He's not really anybody, because he never goes out and finds himself or gets attached to anyone but Louis. Without Louis as his guide he's literally just sitting on a couch picking lint! That's the thing.
He orbits constantly around what would make Louis happy, and never really fully going what would make me happy? Ultimately that drive to please Louis is what drives him to torturing Daniel, not so much that he'd care to just do it. Ultimately, not giving proper care to Louis is just a way to make sure Louis knows he has to orbit around him as well, with shoving Lestat onto him just that other nail on the coffin. So, even if he fails to figure out how to make Louis happy with him, he still knows what Armand is good for, and better than.
That dependency is what drives Armand's abuse. It really just comes down to that. Armand doesn't even realize how suffocated he is by his own dependency. This is just how life is to him. (It shouldn't be lost either that dependency is a theme considering this episode also deals with addiction).
Daniel's fascinating because he's just so driven to be somebody. He's largely independent, he seeks things because he wants them. It's his drug to poke and prod at all the things that he shouldn't. Daniel's exciting because he lets Louis in to something different, lets him in to all this potential in another person that he can also do the same with for himself. It's a real connection. A two way street. It's easy to tell how Armand can be smothering then because he's never introducing him to anything really new, and most the ways both of them connect are all painful and traumatic. It's never just fun because there's always that layer of that pain. Fun died with Claudia.
50 years on they've gotten to a lot better place, both of them, but it's still that same shit. No seriously, "How is this any different from last time, Louis?"
Well... Because Armand's going to be, at the very least, making one [1] decision only for himself - and that's to hold power over Daniel's life. Fucking sick foreshadowing.
They aren't driving each other to the brink anymore but "The vampire is bored" STILL. Maybe it's even worse, despite being in better places, because Louis' sort of just been defeated by it. (I mean, can he even really leave this either?). He's accepting the dependancy cause he kind of has to. He'd literally ended up letting all the enjoyment be up where he can't reach [The book shelves]. Armand so desperately wants Louis happiness but what really ends up happening is that Louis ends up having to give Armand all his own. He's got no one or anything else to get it from. But like an iPad and an over the top eating ritual. Two extremes of what's just more lint picking.
This whole relationship is one I find just tragic inside and out. You have to just pity it, really. There's ways in which you can find yourself feeling bad for both of them. But you can only really be mad at Armand for any of it. Armand, who isn't even 'free' in any sense, having so little concept of his own independence, but is at the same time so controlling over other's. It's a tragic cycle. It's an infuriating one.
Louis at least has the mind to know when enough is enough. If just needing that extra push to get there. Armand's too scared of it being over to even try.

i really dont get when ppl are like "liberals need to stop pressuring ppl to vote bc the liberal president is literally doing [x terrible thing]" and its like. yeah? all presidents are going to be fucked up pretty much. but do you want one thats doing some good things and some really bad, or ONLY extremely bad things????
when theres been studies that if all younger of-age people voted this place would be WAY more liberal than it is, i think theres only GOOD that can come out of encouraging more ppl to vote, and consistently. NOT disillusioning them early on and making them feel like nothing fucking matters (esp when you list no alternatives to voting for trying to change things)
it doesnt mean everythings gonna be all fucking sunshine and rainbows just bc theres a democrat president. but if we keep on the trend of liberalism we can get SOME progress done in this godawful country
if the current liberal president is doing shit you dont like. BE LOUD ABOUT IT. LET POLITICIANS KNOW YOU WANT PEOPLE EVEN MORE LIBERAL. AND BE LOUD ABOUT WHAT YOU DO LIKE. SHOW WHAT YOU WILL AND WONT ACCEPT.
THIS SHIT IS A GRADUAL PROCESS AND WE WILL GET INCREASINGLY BETTER PRESIDENTS IF YOU JUST LET US GET OUT OF THE RED HELL THAT IS THIS WHOLE COUNTRY
like holy shit, what would yall have rather TRUMP stayed in office ??????

I also do not think people take into account that the whole being blinded by light thing didn't happen during modern day spamton times it was most likely during his big shot era that's when he was also praying to the neo suit that's when he was getting the calls who were saying who the fuck knows what to him. Like I know people are probably aware but I don't know if people really sit down and think about it with intensity. The imagery of this man having to pretend like he didn't just see something incomprehensible and going on with his work but it slowly takes over more and more of his life until he spends almost all of his time praying during his downfall drives me nuts. I need to people to draw more fucked up art of spamton in his era of success because he was definitely going through it he was just trying so hard to hide it

Why are y’all surprised that borderline capitalists and liberals like Hobie when they hate leftists, especially black leftists, irl 💀
Real people saying these things make them think and feel guilty, when a real person says we cannot thrive or make significant change by utilizing systems stacked against said change, they have to think about their own lifestyles and ideals. When a real person says violence is the answer and money needs to become meaningless, all they think is “but I could get hurt or in trouble” and “but I’ll never be rich”.
When Hobie says it it’s just a character being entertaining. There’s a bit of truth but you don’t take it seriously because you don’t have to. It’s the same way they’re fine with saying ACAB posts and reading books on anti-racism but can’t muster up the courage to tell their friend to stop saying the n word. It’s all cute till it’s you irl, so ppl who know leftists irl and don’t like them will love hobie. It feels like KNOWING Hobie maybe kinda sorta has a point is enough to negate the idea that their complicity in these systems irl is actually harmful.
It’s like that thing where ppl do bad things and think knowing it’s bad is the same as being apologetic and changing or deserving forgiveness.
Like in conclusion, it’s easy to like Hobie when you’re not face to face with someone like him and you’re not expected to do any work. It’s the same thing as yt ppl liking the Medea movies. God forbid a black person is actually loud in public but it’s fine when they’re doing their little jigs just for you.
