Maybe this is silly but I DO have one major compliant with the Deadpool movies.

They’re so…heteronormative.

Listen, Deadpool is canonically Pansexual (or Bisexual I forget-) so like where’s the flavor?? The zest???

It only comes out in jokes in the movies and it really irks me.

Like, movie one is: rescue girlfriend. Movie two is: girlfriend dying thus ruining life, then messing with the timeline to save that girlfriend. Movie three is: wanting to save the world and matter/mean something…because of ex-girlfriend.

And like OBVIOUSLYYYYY Bi and Pan people can and are in relationships that are with people that are the opposite sex.

But like…this is Marvel and this is Disney we’re talking about. And it feels very much “we’re going to present this character so heteronormative that everyone remembers him as a straight man and then we can sell to more viewers (esp overseas)”

It just FEELS like they’re shoving a blatantly hetero narrative down our throats which they seem to like to do with ALL their superhero/Marvel movies.

it is beyond infuriating how anne rice seems to insist on marius being a positive force in anyone's life ever. like she can't fully commit to exploring the fact he groomed armand and has repeatedly taken away his consent for what marius thinks is best (take the end of TVA as an example) and just kind of flatly puts it in the narrative. there's not really much interest in how these horrific events make marius come across as the worst because EVERYONE loves him. for gods sake, lestat learns from armand exactly what marius did to him in TVL and then proceeds to go find marius and be super friendly to him in the same fucking book. even armand and pandora, two of the people who have MORE than enough right to hate him, do not. it doesnt feel like shes trying to explore the toxicity of the abusive dynamic he traps them in, it just is there. and like yeah ofc the toxic vampire romance series but i think that this should be handled with more care. and it is not ever really framed in a way that she is interested in exploring how marius should easily be one of the most horrific characters in this series because it kind of feels like sa/rape/grooming/other things of that sort are just put there to further plot and not to really get the respect that they deserve in a medium.

So you said that you'll try to write Lighter with specific headcanons in mind, so here’s an idea. Transmasc Lighter on his period

this reminds me of the meme (?) where someone says “if my nose is correct, one of you beauties is on your period. who is it?” and that is so billy asking the rest of the sons of calydon while transmasc lighter would just casually say “it’s me.”

but anyways, i have a personal headcanon that all of their periods sync up, so they’re all in pain together. he would try to not let it show though but i do think that he has his ways of alleviating period cramps so that he can still practice and spar, especially back when he was fighting in the ember arena. supposedly, consistent exercising makes period flow much lighter and helps with cramps so maybe he’s the kind to track his cycle and plan accordingly.

i also think that he gets mood swings, not too bad but it is a little easier for him to get pissed off when he’s on his period. he’s already pretty straightforward from what we’ve seen of him in game, i can just imagine him getting really frustrated quickly or suddenly having the urge to see you.

also in the name of drip, he has to wear his relatively tight pants (are they jeans? i’m not so sure) but on his period, HE’S SWITCHING OUT. it is NOT a fun experience for him down there so i’d like to think that when he’s not out and about, he’s choosing more comfortable clothing.
