Hello! This blog is a place for me to ramble about my Pokemon Mystery Dungeon universe and keep everything tidy ^^

I’ll post liveblogs, analysis, artwork and edits for all four games (depending on my current hyperfix anyways) here! Despite the url, I’m not currently sure how much of my original pmd story content I’ll post yet. Kinda want this to be a focus on canon game interpretations for now to keep things familiar with y’all.

Quick sketch to show off Castor and Bates's size difference for Artfight in case anyone wants to draw them together. Also because I wanted to draw them. One of my favorite friendships to think about tbh... they have the "we're the only ones who will be 100% real with one another whether we like it or not" type of relationship.

Kinda love the implications of a Sheep!Ralsei design so I sketched one up. When the isolation and self worth issues are so bad that your former idealized monster self isn't even a goat but merely something that resembles a goat. The vision was flawed from the beginning. Also the two of you are both followers, one willingly and the other by force.

Hero/Partner Week Day 2: Role Swap (Team Comet > Team Meanies)

Can't commit to the entire week because I'm still in my slump and I'm on vacation, sorry </3 But I wanted to do at least one day, so here's a villain au.

The idea is that both Nuri and Gastly keep their "inciting incidents" but their roles in the narrative are swapped. Nuri still sends the meteor flying towards the PMD world from her station in Mossdeep City, and Gastly still abandons Gardevoir to the Ninetales Curse.

Basically, Nuri and Chip's flaws are cranked up to the max. Nuri never got over her fear and decided to force her way into power to cope with it. She's an authority figure in Pokemon Square, and Chip, loyal to a fault, is her attack cat who would do anything for her. He's really more of the "Gengar" type in personality, where he likes to toy with others because of the power he has.

Team Meanies is still a more "antagonistic" team here. They still harass other explorers and stuff. But over the course of the story, they kinda keep accidentally fixing things, which kinda propels them into a redemption arc anyways. Gastly is forced to confront his issues a lot earlier by becoming a fugitive and seeking out Ninetales, and actually breaks the curse early as well.

Nuri meanwhile was basically attempting to redirect her guilt onto Gastly, kinda the way Gengar does in canon. Once everything is cleared up and Groudon starts rampaging, she and Chip vanish in the night, not appearing until Chip comes back in the postgame to beg for Team Meanies to rescue Nuri from Meteor Cave...
