You might have received alerts about this mod updating a bunch over the past few days, after me saying I was done with it, in true aylin_origin_final_final(2)final.pak spirit. Well, now I am done with it, unless someone finds some glaring issues.

You might also notice the little icon pop up that says the mod uses Osiris scripting - that's because I now run a little start-of-game script to handle Aylin's tags and some general setup, so she gets tagged as an aasimar in dialogues no matter what race you pick to play as stat-wise, and also to remove the "Baldurian" tag from her, because it just didn't make sense for her to have it. She also, like all origins, now has her own unique "Aylin"/"Really Aylin" tag. This doesn't do much. For now.

Note, since I've seen some confusion about this: there is no new dialogue or reactivity added to the game with this mod. It's all stuff that was already there. Aasimar are simply considered to fall under the "rare races" tag group, which means you'll get a bunch of these "oh, we don't see your kind around here much!" reactions and responses. You'd get the same ones if you were, say, a dragonborn or githyanki. I also don't have the power to change the game's fundamental storyline - this is mostly a cosmetic mod. I say this primarily because of the lovely person who commented to ask me what would happen when they arrived in Act 2 and if playing as Aylin meant the "real one" wasn't imprisoned anymore, which genuinely made my day but also made me vaguely sad.

Alas, no, it will all happen as it always has, no matter my personal willingness to fistfight Balthazar and Ketheric in a parking lot for that face up there. You'll just have two Aylins on screen during some segments which, yeah, is kind of immersion-breaking, but is also honestly a win in my books.

Also redone: her starting equipment! Again, since other origin characters have their own personalised sets, I thought it fitting to have Aylin start with the Vengeance Paladin equipment, except the warhammer is replaced with a greatsword. She also gets a bag with her iconic armour safely stowed away (primarily so that the helmet doesn't interfere with customising her hair in the character creator). It's got the stats of basic plate and no special abilities - it's mostly there for cosmetic purposes.

I also thought she should have a little souvenir.

Wings Unlocked over on mod.io is a nice and simple and noninvasive way I've found to have wings you can turn on and off, aasimar style. This is accomplished by making them an item and equipping them in the underwear slot. You know, truly putting the ass in aasimar.

As a final little starting inventory tidbit, I decided there wasn't enough gay yearning in the game, so I made sure to sprinkle some more in there - while also figuring out the letters/books system. This is something that's probably way too wordy to actually be an in-game text, but I saw a chance to have a bit of fun and I took it.

The masons are back on their feet, fretting over ruined scaffolding and delayed statuary work. I took the liberty of trying to reassure them that the Moonmaiden won't mind too badly. In more pleasant news, we found a loving home for the last pup from Squire's litter, so both of you can rest easy at last. She and the potter's children took a shine to each other so quickly, it was a true joy to behold. I'd wager you'll spot them frolicking around when you fly over the riverside fields on your way back. I picture the looks on your beloved, handsome face as I regale you - always so wonderfully expressive! - as we sit huddled together before my fireplace at day's end. Selûne willing, I will have you back in my arms soon. I gaze up at her every night as I await your return, knowing you must be looking upon her yourself, and I pray she keeps you safe in her light. Though your duties to Our Lady send you questing far and wide, I know, as surely as the tides turn and the moon cycles through her path in the sky, she will always guide you back to me, and me to you. GI'S DISNEY PRINCESS CHALLENGE

A twelve generation legacy challenge based on the current thirteen Disney Princesses. Each generation will have a different set of goals and requirements before the new heir takes over.  Disclosure: I know there are other Disney Princess Challenges out there, but I wanted to create my own which I feel fit the films more and flowed nicely between each princess and generation. I've tried my best to add as many game features as I can to match their stories, but a lot of it may be down to your own storytelling. Some details have been left out because I don't want the challenge to be too strict, or all our games would be the exact same! Feel free to adjust any rules as you see fit for your stories, it's supposed to be fun. Tell your own stories and add your own elements, but my rules should hopefully help guide you. 

As you may know with a lot of the older princess films, the mothers often die when the princess is quite young. I know a lot of people hate the idea of their sims dying, so if you would like to forgo this rule, that is fine! I would instead recommend moving the mother out of the household and having no contact with them again.

Every generation has a prologue and then a set of rules. The prologues are there to establish the generations, and typically require more storytelling and gameplay with family members. You can use the prologues in any way you would like to set up your princesses' stories. The requirements are for when the main part of their stories would begin.

Rules:

Aging must be turned on, but you can have it at any length you wish.

Each goal must be met before the new heir takes over, unless specified in the rules.

Despite being 'princesses', the heirs don't have to be female. You can have any gender follow the requirements. Same goes for sexuality and romantic partners. You don't have to strictly follow the films in this sense unless you want to.

The Princesses can look as much or as little like their film-selves as you would like. Same for their names.

Mods and custom content can be used to help the story and gameplay.

The generations will offer three traits, you do not need the heir to have all three traits, but they MUST have at least TWO of them.

If you do not have all of the packs required to complete the requirements for each generation, either find a similar alternative or skip that rule.

THE GENERATIONS

Generation 1 - Snow White

Optional Prologue (child):

Snow's mother dies when Snow is a child. Her father should remarry a jealous/evil woman. When Snow becomes a teenager, her father must die so that Snow is left with only her stepmother to raise her.

Requirements:

Have an awful relationship with your stepmother who makes you do all the cooking and housework.

Never leave your home neighbourhood. 

Meet a teen sim in your neighbourhood who you build a friendship and romance with, but never kiss/woohoo.

Move into a cottage as a YA, and have no social interaction with anyone (including no contact with stepmother or boyfriend/girlfriend). This includes never answering the door to strangers.

Adopt seven toddlers (dwarves) in one go.

Give the children traits that match their dwarf persona (i.e. happy = cheerful, sleepy = lazy etc.).

Never eat apples or anything to do with apples.

When the dwarves are teens, you can finally meet your partner again. (If you would like, you can have them rescue you from your stepmother who visited your cottage)

Get married and move into your lover's castle.

Have one daughter (Cinderella).

Master parenting and baking skills.

Complete Big Happy Family aspiration.

Traits: Cheerful, Loves Outdoors, Good Aspiration: Big Happy Family

Generation 2 - Cinderella

Optional Prologue (child):

Snow White dies when Cinderella is a child. Cinderella's father should remarry an older lady who already has two daughters. Cinderella's stepmother and stepsisters hate her and are always mean to her when her father isn't around. As if history repeats itself, Cinderella's father must die when she is a teenager, leaving Cinderella to be raised by her stepmother who hates her.

Requirements: 

Must live in the attic and do all the housework and care for the animals.

Have completely negative relationships with your stepmother and stepsisters.

Knit and wear your own clothes.

Never leave the home lot.

As a YA, you must sneak off to the magic realm in the middle of the night and meet all the sages and another powerful (but evil) spellcaster.

Befriend all four spellcasters - this is important for the next generation.

Attend a party off your home lot, disguised so your family doesn't recognise you - they must also be guests.

Meet and fall in love with someone at the party, but you must be home before midnight.

You must wait for the person you met at the party to knock on your door at home before you can run away from your family.

Get married and have one daughter (Aurora).

Master cooking, knitting and cross-stitch skills before being rescued by your lover.

Complete Soulmate aspiration.

Traits: Romantic, Neat, Animal Enthusiast  Aspiration: Soulmate

Generation 3 - Aurora

Optional Prologue (infant): Cinderella must throw a baby shower when Aurora is born, inviting the three sages, but not the fourth 'evil' spellcaster. Cinderella and the spellcaster must lose all relationship. Cinderella must send infant Aurora to live with the three sages in Glimmerbrook to protect her from the other spellcaster.

Requirements: 

Have no contact or relationship with anyone except the three sages. This includes your parents.

Meet a mersim as a teen in the Glimmerbrook forest. Fall in love with them but never kiss/woohoo, and they can never visit your home.

Never leave Glimmerbrook until your YA birthday.

As a YA, meet with the 'evil' spellcaster. She drains you of all energy and traps you in the attic of your family home. (Aurora is now unplayable until the curse is lifted)

Each spellcaster must defeat the spellcaster in a duel, and at least two of them must win.

Sages must find your lover naturally and they are the only one who can break the curse. Aurora is playable again. (The lover must either be found by searching the worlds/neighbourhoods, or they can arrive without being invited. You cannot call them over, or directly visit their home lot)

Marry your lover and move to Sulani.

Become a mermaid.

Have seven mermaid daughters, close in age, the last one being Ariel. (You may need to live separately from your lover as the household limit will be maxed with seven children)

Master singing and dancing skills.

Complete Beach Life aspiration, but you can only start working on it when you become a mermaid.

Traits: Loner, Family-oriented, Lazy Aspiration: Beach Life

Generation 4 - Ariel

Optional Prologue (infant): Aurora must die when Ariel becomes an infant, leaving Ariel's father to raise his daughters alone. He must befriend another mermaid who will help with all the children. When Ariel becomes a child, her father must cut ties with this mermaid and not allow the children any contact with her.

  Requirements:

Live on the small island in Sulani.

Only have friendships with mermaids on your island.

Befriend a dolphin.

As a teen, sneak out every night to visit the mainland and mingle with regular sims.

Meet a regular teen sim who you introduce yourself to, but do not build any friendship or relationship. Leave immediately after you meet them.

Return home and lose friendship with your father - don't enter the red, but have no green left.

Runaway from home and meet the mermaid from your childhood.

This mermaid will help you become a regular sim and find the teen you met before.

Only use romantic interactions with your crush, no friendly/funny interactions.

Discover the mermaid who helped you flirting with your love interest. Lose all friendship with them.

When you have a full romance bar with your love interest, only then can you kiss them, and after this, you can start using friendly interactions. 

Rebuild a relationship with your father.

Stay human, get married and have one daughter (Belle).

Complete at least two collections - ideally at least one from Island Living.

Master singing skill while still a mermaid.

Master fitness skill but only ever by swimming.

Complete The Curator aspiration.

Traits: Socially Awkward, Child of the Ocean, Clumsy Aspiration: The Curator

Generation 5 - Belle

Optional Prologue (child): Ariel must die when Belle is a child. Belle and her father move to a small town and he must focus on robotics. Belle mustn't have any friends growing up. She should spend her time with her father and reading books. There is an attractive teen, Gaston, in the small town who has a crush on Belle, but she has no interest in him and she always rejects his advances.

  Requirements: 

On your YA birthday, your father unintentionally runs into a rampaging werewolf.

You must move in with the werewolf in their castle, leaving your father alone.

Have a fully negative (-100) relationship with the werewolf.

You can never leave the castle.

Befriend the maid and butler, and have no friendships outside of the castle.

Slowly build a friendship with the werewolf.

Only when the friendship bar is in the green can you start looking for a cure for the werewolf.

Start romancing when you are friends, but do not kiss or woohoo.

When you and the werewolf are lovebirds, Gaston visits and he must fight the werewolf.

Only after the werewolf beats Gaston in a fight can they take the cure and become a regular sim.

Have your first kiss with your lover now they aren't a werewolf anymore.

Marry your lover, have one daughter (Jasmine), and have your father move into the castle with you all.

Have a perfect quality rose bush.

Write books either as a freelance author or as a hobby, but do not join the writer career.

Master writing and research and debate skills.

Complete Bestselling Author aspiration.

Traits: Bookworm, Loyal, Genius Aspiration: Bestselling Author

Generation 6 - Jasmine

Optional Prologue (child):  Belle must die when Jasmine is a child. Jasmine's father is still scared of the outside world because of his past, so should keep Jasmine locked in the castle for her safety. When Jasmine's elderly grandfather dies, Jasmine's father is left alone to raise her. He must enlist the help of an adult spellcaster, Jafar, to help him look after Jasmine.

Requirements:

Have no friendships outside of your family. Your best friend is your ginger tabby cat.

Go on blind dates that your father arranges, and always end them by making the other sim angry.

Sneak out in a disguise to a community lot and befriend a poor sim with the kleptomaniac trait.

Go on a date with them the next day, who is now dressed entirely differently in fancy clothes.

End the date with a kiss.

Jafar finds you the next day and traps you in a room with your father. (Jasmine is now temporarily unplayable)

Your lover arrives with a friend who is a spellcaster, who must duel and defeat Jafar. (When Jafar is defeated, Jasmine is playable again)

Marry your lover as a YA and stop living as royalty. Move to the forest and live off the grid with at least two other YAs who have one baby.

Have one daughter (Pocahontas).

Master charisma and mischief skills.

Complete Chief of Mischief aspiration.

Traits: Hot-Headed, Self-Assured, High Maintenance Aspiration: Chief of Mischief 

Generation 7 - Pocahontas

Optional Prologue (infant): Jasmine must die when Pocahontas is an infant. Pocahontas should be raised by her father and the tribe they all live with. There is a young boy who is a similar age to Pocahontas. The two must grow up as best friends.  

Requirements:

As a teen, get engaged to your childhood best friend, but never kiss or woohoo them, and have zero romance - you can cheat this up to get engaged, but then remove all romance after.

Befriend a stranger in the forest who is completely opposite to you, in  both appearance and personality.

Quickly build a friendship and romance with the stranger, but do not kiss or woohoo.

Your tribe must hate the stranger's family, so continue your relationship in secret.

Get caught with the stranger, so your fiance fights them.

End your romantic relationship with the stranger and never have contact with them again.

Break off your engagement with your childhood friend

As a YA, fall in love with an adult sim who is a retired soldier.

Move in with them and their mother.

Get married and have one daughter (Mulan).

Live off the grid your whole life until you move out and get married.

Master painting, gardening and fishing skills.

Complete Angling Ace aspiration.

Traits: Love the Outdoors, Ambitious, Green Fiend Aspiration: Angling Ace

Generation 8 - Mulan

Optional Prologue (child): Mulan never has any interest in tradition or expectations. She grows up very active and playful, and never has any romantic relationships as a teen. Mulan has a strict relationship with her mother, who wants her to be more 'normal', but has a stronger and closer relationship with her father.

Requirements: 

As a YA, completely change your appearance and move out of your family world.

Move in with a group of men, who are all in the military, and join the military yourself.

Befriend all of the men, and develop a crush on the leader of the group.

Constantly try and prove yourself by pushing the limits and becoming the strongest soldier in your household.

Fight your enemy who is in a rival household and win. After this fight, you must change your appearance back to how it was before.

Have an argument with the leader, who kicks you out of the household. You must return home to your family.

Sneak out one night to see your friends, and find them with the rival group. Fight and defeat all of the rivals, ending with your enemy.

Move back into the household with your soldier friends, who have accepted you back for saving them.

Fall in love with the leader and both quit your jobs in the military.

Marry your lover and have one daughter (Tiana).

Max your body muscles using the training bot machine.

Master fitness and wellness skills.

Complete Bodybuilder aspiration.

Traits: Active, Loyal, Bro Aspiration: Bodybuilder

Generation 9 - Tiana

Optional Prologue (child): Tiana should have a very close relationship with her father growing up. After leaving the military, he wants to pursue his dream of opening a restaurant, so he should join the culinary career. Before he can reach level 5 of this career, he must quit and instead join the military again and die. Tiana should be left to be raised by her mother, Mulan, who is poor since she and her husband left the military.

Requirements:

Cook with your father as often as possible before he dies.

As a teen, join the barista part-time career.

Have a childhood best friend who is rich and very different to you, but stay close your whole life.

At a costume party dressed as a princess, meet a royal sim who has been cursed with the curse of repulsiveness. You are now also cursed.

Befriend an old female spellcaster and a musician in a bayou/forest.

Befriend and romance the other cursed sim.

Visit Selvadorada with the cursed sim and explore the jungle.

Only when your romance and friendship is full can both of your curses be lifted.

The spellcaster officiates your wedding.

Open a restaurant using your new partner's wealth.

Have your restaurant reach at least four stars.

Become royal and move into your partner's castle and have one daughter (Rapunzel).

Master cooking and gourmet cooking skills.

Complete Master Chef aspiration.

Traits: Foodie, Ambitious, Overachiever Aspiration: Master Chef

Generation 10 - Rapunzel 

Optional Prologue (infant): Because of her parents' curse and connection to magic, Rapunzel is born with powers and long golden hair. An old lady kidnaps Rapunzel when she is an infant, running away to a locked tower, hidden away from Tiana's castle. The old lady, Gothel, is immediately young again, and will always stay this way when she is around Rapunzel.

Requirements:

Never go to school or work, and never leave the confines of the tower.

Have no relationships with anyone except Gothel, and this must be negative.

Have long blonde hair your whole life.

Spend your time playing guitar, painting, baking, singing, gardening, playing chess - anything to pass the time!

On your YA birthday, when Gothel is at work, a stranger makes their way into your tower. Quickly befriend the stranger and escape with them to the woods and eventually the town.

Make lots of friends along the way, and slowly build a romance with the stranger, but not kissing or woohooing.

Get found by Gothel, and both of you are trapped back in the tower.

Gothel kills your lover, but you are able to bring them back with a death flower which you have grown.

When your lover is brought back to life, you must immediately change your appearance to have short brown hair.

Gothel instantly becomes an elder and dies of old age - you will probably want to cheat this!

Move back to your family castle with your lover, meeting your parents again for the first time.

Marry your lover and have two daughters, close in age (Elsa and Anna).

Master guitar, painting, baking and singing skills.

Complete Renaissance Sim aspiration.

Traits: Creative, Paranoid, Cheerful Aspiration: Renaissance Sim

Generation 11 - Elsa and Anna

Optional Prologue (children):

Elsa inherits her mother's magical abilities and is born a spellcaster. Anna has no abilities, but the girls still have a strong relationship. The girls' parents are worried about Elsa's abilities after Anna gets hurt one day. They lock Elsa in her bedroom and Anna isn't allowed in. When the girls are teenagers, their parents both die.

Requirements: 

Elsa (E) and Anna (A) must never have any friends or relationships growing up. They have zero relationship with each other. Neither girl can attend school.

(A) when you become a YA, meet a stranger and instantly become friends and start romancing. Get engaged on the same day.

(E) throw a party honouring your new job and invite Anna's new fiance.

(E) argue with Anna about her engagement and run away to the mountains in Mt. Komorebi.

(A) befriend a stranger in Mt. Komorebi while looking for your sister.

(E) freeze your sister when she finds you (chillio spell). While Anna is frozen, her fiance arrives and argues with Elsa. Elsa is trapped in a basement by Anna's fiance.

(A) return home after thawing and let Elsa out. Rebuild your friendship and become best friends.

(A) breakup and fight with your fiance. Start romancing the stranger from Mt. Komorebi.

(E) stay living in the castle and make friends with people in the world.

(A) marry your new lover and move in with their elderly mother and family in Sulani.

(A) have one daughter (Moana).

(E) master singing skill and learn all the untamed spells.

(E) complete Inner Peace aspiration, but only after becoming best friends with your sister.

Generation 12 - Moana

Optional Prologue (toddler):  Moana grows up in Sulani with her whole family. She loves the water and is closest to her grandmother, more than her own parents. The island is filthy and destroyed by environmental changes. Moana vows to make a change when she is older, but her parents think she should focus on the family and the land they live on. Moana's grandmother agrees that she should go off and follow her dream, but she dies when Moana is a teen.

Requirements: 

As a teen, leave your family to clean Sulani. Have no contact with them until the island is saved.

Meet a YA man on the island, but have a negative relationship to begin with. 

Work together with the man to clean Sulani, and turn your negative relationship into a completely positive one.

Join the conservationist career.

Become best friends with the man.

Find The Heart of Sulani (treasure collectible).

When the island is clean and you are at level 5 of your career, return home to your family and live off the grid.

When you reach level 5 of the conservationist career, quit and join the civil designer career (green tech branch).

Influence your neighbours to always vote and live in a green neighbourhood.

Master logic and fitness skills.

Complete Eco Innovator aspiration.

@wingsofachampion - tropius is such a fun character and bench plays her so well!! pokemon like tropius are sososo underrated compared to a lot of the like. anthro/more humanoid pokemon and pokemon that are just cats or dogs so seeing one about one of these more underrated pokemon so good to me. bench (blogrunner) also has a ton of fun pmd lore that builds off the canon stuff on this blog and a few of their other blogs so if you love pmdstuff you should REALLY check them out

@psn-stalling - i could list A LOT of the bbablr blogs because theyre all some degree of something up with that guy fr but atlas is one of the first blogs that popped up on my dash p often and is what got me to check out a ton of the bba blogs. atlas and his relationships to other characters are so fun to me and tbh atlas is just a fascinating character in general. top ten guys of all time i hope he beefs with even more of his classmates in the future

the tall girl you're referring to is Nikusa, the kinda-sorta villain(?) of FNF Entity. she's an awesome character who also doesn't deserve the crap Cougar put her through.

speaking of which, EXACTLY???? I never liked cougar's dubs at all tbh; even comics that I personally had read beforehand, which had no hints of romance or shipping whatsoever, became so uncomfortably sexual and harem-y the moment Cougar got permission to dub them. i imagine there were artists who didn't want their work cast in this light at all, and I just feel horrible for them. it's really gross.

and honestly??? FNF being a mature game has NOTHING to do with the overly sexual thumbnails and blatant disrespect of Homskiy's and other creators' wishes for their characters. that doesn't make it okay at all. it doesn't matter how family friendly an IP is, if it's popular, people who only value views WILL come up with the most disgusting clickbait garbage as long as it gets them attention. content farms will oversexualize the most innocent of child-friendly characters in order to get views. FNF being for older audiences doesn't make it better.

cougar's channel has become nothing more than one of these farms. he just happens to be using a former friend's beloved character as a mascot, which only makes it worse.

it reminds me of the downfall of Gametoons and EnchantedMob, ngl. they used to make awesome videos with genuine effort and well-thought out plotlines. now their content is in a similar state. it's disgusting. the fact that cougar has let his standards devolve to this is abhorrent.

every artist has boundaries when it comes to fanart of their work. for such a renowned person in the FNF fandom, with such a large platform, to NOT make sure he isn't crossing those boundaries, and in fact actively disrespect them, sets a terrible precedent for future "big" mod devs to follow.

cougar absolutely cannot get away with this. too many other people in this fandom have, but this is something everyone has borne witness to. it is 2024, and we're sick of seeing this. we want every scrap of what we have left.

i honestly hope the remaining mod devs are doing alright. i haven't talked about them much but their experience working on Vs. Ex is no less valid. it's sickening that cougar took advantage of minors to finish all the work on their own so he could slack off. again, an ADULT could not be bothered to handle anything of the mod development, so he left it all to the rest of the team that he was leading, most of whom were MINORS.

cougar must be held accountable for his blatant disregard for Homskiy's boundaries, breaking his trust and using his beloved character against him. no one should forget how he exploited his underage co-devs to dump all the stress of finishing the mod on them.

Tabi's character is beloved to not only Homskiy and the other devs who actually worked on the mod, not only the Entity creators, but to all of us. everyone in the FNF fandom who has gone out of their way to make art for Tabi, everyone who has cared enough to even praise this art, to seek it out, we know this character's worth. we are the ones who value him.

the same goes for Nikusa, and Ayana, and every other character that he's reduced to shipping fodder and suggestive thumbnail art. I just hope outsiders and people who only know them through cougar's "dubs" will understand the same.

I've finished playing through Another Code Recollection!

You can see my thoughts on the "Two Memories" part in this first post on the topic. But now we've got to talk about how they handled "A Journey into Lost Memories."

A lot of North American players probably never experienced the Wii original. But as big lover of CING's games, I soft-modded my Wii and imported the European release of "Another Code R." And I loved the CRAP out of it. They really took the innovative puzzles of the DS original and took them to a new level with the Wii Remote.

So. How does the "Recollection" version of ACR fare by comparison?

As I expected after playing through Two Memories, the new puzzles in the "Recollection" version of ACR are a lot simpler than the original. These are more typical to what you find in adventure games and less, shall we say, experimental. There's not nearly as much effort put into using the Switch's unique form/functionality in unexpected ways, but I still had fun solving them. I even got momentarily stymied by two of them this time! The "Two Memories" remake only ONCE had me stuck like this, so I really think they gave "A Journey into Lost Memories" a bit of escalated challenge, and I appreciate it!

Similar to how they removed the bad ending from "Two Memories," they took out some of the possible branches/decisions in ACR for this remake. You no longer have any means by which to identify/describe your lost bag to Dan, ultimately affecting whether you get it back later in the game; the path to retrieving your bag is now different and linear. The subplot where Ashley is briefly accused of robbing the guesthouse also only has ONE solution now. In the original ACR, if you were clever enough to snap a picture of Matthew in the back room while peeking through the blinds, you could actually bypass the entire "prove your innocence" semi-puzzle by just showing that photo to Tommy. But you can't pull out your camera during that part of the story in the remake, so you have to deal with the puzzle no matter what.

3. I positively love the redesign of Janet??? What a glow-up! They added some much-needed diversity into this one with her and Ranger Dan's new look, too. You can tell that both Janet and Dan are now people of some color.

4. The biggest shock is just how much Recollection changed the story of ACR. This is most notably present in how everything wraps up and comes together at the end. Matthew's storyline is NOT left hanging for a future game to pick up this time... he gets closure, though I admit the actual "solution" to his mystery doesn't quite add up and feels a little half-assed. But I understand that the devs had their hands tied a bit here... how do you end his storyline when you don't have a whole other game to expound upon the answers and you ALSO don't want to spend a ton of time destracting further from Ashley's own plotline? It's a tough situation.

5. The biggest change is undoubtedly Ryan Gray. Without spoiling anything, I'll just say that Ryan's entire backstory is now different and MUCH more sci-fi in nature. It gets pretty wild! It does at least tie into the resolution to Matthew's storyline, although he also loses some of what made his ending so satisfying in the process. But in fairness, he also GAINS something: Ryan becomes more a sympathetic presence and far less of an emotionally detached person in this version of the story. However, unlike in the original ACR, Ryan no longer leads us to learning the ultimate mastermind behind all the tragedy in the series. Which is... a hell of a choice to make, because now it's kept very VAGUE who the actual mastermind was. I'm not sure if the game actually says who it is (one person is clearly implied to be responsible, but... ) or just leaves it vague for a possible future installment. But shit, if you were gonna do that why not just leave Matthew's storyline the same at that point... ?

6. There are other small changes throughout, of course. Most of them have no real impact on the storytelling to me, but personally, I really missed the scene where Ashley talks to Matthew about D from the first game after Matthew first witnesses a ghost. It's a great moment I wish they'd kept. Also, a funny change is that the characer of Sam Hillman - who never really did jack shit in the original game - is just straight-up removed now. Janet gets a slightly expanded role that lets her step into Sam's position instead. Sorry/not sorry, Sam. LOL.

7. It is once again impossible to overstate the value of the enhanced presentation. The voice cast does an absolutely amazing job throughout, and the more detailed facial animations give Ashley so much more SASS than she ever had before. I fucking LOVE it.

8. The ending credits had me literally choking up... just like the end credits of the original ACR did, but in a totally different way. The montage of beautiful artwork and that pencil-style animation of Ashley feeling hopeful and full of joy is just... SO beautiful. Seeing Ashley in her original outfit from ACR! Seeing Matthew with his dad! Seeing Charlotte's extended family! KYLE FUCKING HYDE cameo appearance! (So glad to see MORE confirmation of the shared CING universe.) That ENDING SONG - so beautiful and touching!!! LOOOOOOVE.

9. Ultimately, if you asked me "Is it better to play the original Trace Memory/Another Code games or just play Recollection?" I'd say "Yes." I can't honestly decide if I love this revision or the originals more, so just PLAY ASHLEY'S GAMES. The story is better presented and the dialogue is better-written here, but I prefer the puzzles and small branches/choices in the originals. But either way: They're beautiful, satisfying stories that, even when they're sometimes predictable, are still thoroughly worth experiencing and full of delightful characters and touching resolutions. I want more people to love these characters as much I do. JUST PLEASE PLAY.

ok i'm going to assume you're familiar with the big names like goodnight moon (big favourite), latte, tingting and ppomo. if not...get the hell on youtube.

i almost exclusively listen to female voiced roleplays so that's going to be really obvious here.

one of my favourite channels i've ever found is moonlight cottage asmr. her voice is beautiful, intelligent and a little bit more mature and the french accent just hits. her historical videos are compelling, you can tell they're passion projects and she is quite an actress.

another definite recommend is ALB in whisperland. she has a gentle voice, her soft speaking is so good, and she has a lot of videos where she delicately does things with her beautiful hands, which i like a lot.

some more in no particular order:

-aen ani asmr. i feel like she's so underrated. she mainly does fantasy roleplays in costumes and the channel is still a bit small so you have a good chance of getting a reply or your request being included in a video. it's not like, insanely polished and high production value but i like it.

-asmr mood. speaks russian but many are subtitled in english. oftentimes has fanservice and is one of the few asmrtists (on my list, maybe even in general) who usually presumes the viewer as male. i don't care about it but it means there's no makeup videos (which i find boring). and as i've said before, when the russian language k and t sounds come out in asmr i... no, i shan't say.

-amy kay asmr. pretty much exclusively roleplays and usually has interesting concepts (ie not the 5 millionth makeup and cranial nerve exam). confident and charismatic and is a bit more peppy in the way she speaks rather than the, like, pure bedtime voices.

-eunzel asmr. korean with english subs + english spoken videos. roleplays, also weird and odd triggers. i've rewatched both of her "doctor asking you insanely personal questions" videos many times.

-bluewhisper. first asmr video i ever watched was her (sadly quickly deleted) "rescuing harambe" video which got screenshotted and i think gave her a lot of negative attention because her sense of humour is playing it completely straight and people are obsessed with being smarter than the person being ironic. she does simple roleplays, vlogs, flips through the new burpee seed catalog once a year for her garden and opens pokemon cards.

-seafoam kitten asmr. if you remember the "adorable organ harvester uwu asmr" screenshot going around, that's her. she does weird, cringe-humour roleplays. she also has a slightly risque one where you get indoctrinated into being a "love pet" puppy which i think would do numbers on here.

-myaling asmr. english with korean accent. mostly long roleplays, very sweet voice and puts great effort into having a lot of props, background detail etc. often has cinematic intros which i love. her "aesthetic school outfit styling" has probably my favourite intro scene i've ever seen in asmr.

-callie blossom asmr. she's strikingly beautiful and has a "girl who's secretly obsessed with you" series that is very popular with lesbians for good reason.

-maya winky asmr. silly, fast paced humour asmr. i feel bad not saying more but like just look at her channel lol

-mid mod meridian asmr. american accent. older lady who does 50s, 60s and 70s themed roleplays. not to be like aww sweet grandma but. yeah.

-ella asmr. korean with english subs. a lot of scifi themed videos with special effects, surgery on you and mechanical equipment sounds.

-whispering willow asmr. nice, simple, basic roleplays, usually in the 20-30 min range. i like when videos aren't too long because i usually clock out after 5 minutes anyway.

-african xhosa asmr. criminally underrated. she speaks and has a few videos teaching phrases in xhosa, a south african language with clicks that i've never even heard before. also talks about history and culture often.

-90sfairyasmr. relatively new channel with not too many videos, she mostly flips through y2k/1990s teen magazines so far.

-asmr emiko ffujio. no talking, but has cool slimes and fake cooking.

-gentle whispering asmr. a very big channel, russian accented. i like her voice and soft speaking a lot but her topics tend to bore me a bit. it's generally beauty focused.

-triniti j asmr. american accent. i havent watched a lot of hers because they're usually beauty focused, but for example in the "best friend picks out your smell goods" she gets really close to the mic and chews gum which creates a speaking sound i like a lot. idk how to describe it lol

-pelagea asmr. doesn't upload on youtube anymore but a lot of backlog. mostly more or less fanservicey videos that get a bit unintentionally silly and too much sometimes. i mainly recommend her "100 ways to kiss" video with the lesbian bait thumbnail that got her 13 million views.

Mocha! Sometimes I feel like I'm just being too paranoid and this whole story is gonna be one big misunderstanding after another with no real antagonist. Sometimes I feel like disaster is waiting just around the corner and everybody is going to befall a terrible fate in just a few posts. Is that... good?

Would you rather I make a big bad who's just evil for the sake of it? Kill off characters just because? That's not the story I'm trying to convey. I love mlp, but one of it's main themes was as we all know, "Friendship is Magic" I'm exploring what happens when Friendship isn't the magic cure all to every problem? Life was simple for Twilight 1,000 years ago, she was with her friends, she loved her friends, and when a threat appeared all she had to do was make a big speech or realization about how "my friends are my magic!" And everything was solved.

I'm not writing essentially a Shonen protagonist story. There is no clear antagonist character, but there IS an antagonist that isn't going to go away with some magical rainbow blast . It's the current state of Equestria, it's Twilights grief, it's Cinna's struggle and fear of being herself, it's Sagi's constant battle with his instinct to cause harm and fear wherever he goes and dealing with the guilt of going too far, it's Sanori's battle with his ptsd and anxiety and separation from his loved ones, and what's being slowly introduced, his terrible ways of coping with it. The antagonist is life in this world that everyone is used to being sunshine and rainbows until the next big disaster.

Yes I'm keeping you on edge, feeling like at any point, if something goes wrong, it's going to be disaster for our protagonists. But that's what I'm going for! I love buildups that end in, "Oh, well that wasn't actually so bad". I love seeing characters that seem evil but turn out to be confused and misguided.

All of you were so convinced that Sagi would be some heartless reincarnation of the og king sombra, the guy who destroyed the tree of harmony and almost took over Equestria. Only to find out he's just a young man trying to find a way to live in a society where he's the last of his kind, and the only reason he's allowed to stay is because his mother is part unicorn, so he is too. Imagine how ot feels to live in a society where the main people who live there eradicated your entire species because they didn't understand them. Having to work for the woman who essentially killed your father and vanquished him to the shadows. (Multiple times) and that's just ONE of the characters I've made to subvert your expectations.

And you're dealing with a chaotic goddess here. On a whim, I could totally create an impossible monster for everyone to face. But it's not time yet, and that's lazy writing! Lucky for you all, I don't do things that lack effort. I put 200% into everything I like, including this blog. If my story is becoming too much for you, I apologize. I just really love making things for other people and having them enjoy them. (And, half the story is being co-written by another person who works half the time and focuses on other life things sometimes, so I have to fill the dry space with something, like twisting storylines or sudden twists because I can't move forward without them)

But, there is a character I'm planning to subvert your expectations with again. But I'm warning you this time, so maybe you'll be better prepared. If you have an issue with following the blog, or the story is becoming too much, I won't blame you for leaving. I know it's alot, and I'd be sad to see you go, but I understand.

During submissions, I became so absolutely excited when I saw this pop up. I don't know who decided to submit it, but they unlocked some childhood memories for me. Back when I was a child, my family visited Pakistan (my parent's country of origin) for the entire summer. One day I, bored, asked for some movies to watched and my parents and uncle brought back some clearly bootlegged DVDs dubbed in Hindi/Urdu, and Bratz Kids Fairy Tales was one of them. I watched it so many times, you have no idea- I think that I might have wrecked the whole DVD with how much I watched it. (A similar thing happened later on when I obtained a clearly bootlegged copy of Bratz Fashion Pixie too but that's another, non-Red Riding Hood related story.) I wasn't surprised that it was eliminated right off the bat, but my childhood nostalgia dictated I put it here, or else I would be betraying the 7-year-old in me.

Shang, Tao, and Paotze:

Another childhood favorite of mine. This picture book has such beautiful art and I remember being very surprised by the story as a child. I found a PDF of it online to reread when the contest started and honestly it still holds up. The three sisters that are the Red Riding Hood in the story I feel are genuinely very clever. And for nothing else, look this one up solely for it's beautiful art which is just breath-taking whether you're a child or an adult!

Not going to lie I never played this game. My good friend who I adore submitted this to the poll and it immediately got eliminated and I just felt bad lol. But it does look cool & I trust their taste so I do think that this game is great. I want to play it but I am really bad at getting myself to play games.

Aku:

Samurai Jack is a CLASSIC and I dare you to not watch this clip and crack up. Mako was a gift of voice acting and I miss him so much. Also this episode is just pretty amusing.

Amy Lee:

My sister was actually the one to submit this and I will use her own propaganda here: "Evanescence was a voice of a generation." Honestly this song is kind of just okay, there are better Evanescence songs, but got to respect the effort they put into the music video. Who can resist to choose Amy Lee anyway?

The Path sisters:

Like many people who know this game, I know it through Izzzyzzz's two video essays on it. I didn't play the game afterwards, but I did watch some play-throughs since I don't play many games + it seemed mostly like a walking simulator anyway so I felt like I got the same effect. It is AMAZING and has so much story and analysis and I love shit like that... In particular, Scarlet, Ruby, and Rose are my favorites whose stories really resonated with me, even if I haven't exactly gone through their life experiences. Ginger too. And there's some really horrific imagery in Robin's...I would recommend everyone find a way to experience this game-- whether that's playing it, watching Izzzyzzz's videos, or finding a walk-through/analysis of it, it's worth it!

So this manga is sort of obscure but it is also sort of nostalgic to me. Well, nostalgic by proxy. My sister read it when I was younger and told me some details about it and for some reason it stuck with me. Like??? For no reason. It's not even that good lmao. The first chapter right off the bat is pretty edgy & handles sensitive topics very badly. But goddamn if I do not think about random elements of the story for no reason. I don't really remember shit about Lisette but hey this picture of her looks really cool.

Red:

If you notice a theme among these being "nostalgia" you would be right, as this was another nostalgic offering from my childhood that I would watch semi-annually. I was also fond of the sequel, though I thought it felt like a different series than the first one. (Which isn't unusual with animated sequels to popular movies, but the fact that the sequel was set-up by the ending of the first one implies it was planned? Weird). But anyway Red is iconic and funny and voiced by Anne Hathaway and also her sad emo song "Red is Blue" sometimes still gets stuck in my head, so take that as you will.

Chacha:

I know absolutely nothing about this series. But it looks very cute so I like it. I love cute magical girls they deserve the world. Also I looked it up and apparently the Studio who did the Akazukin Chacha anime would later do the Yu-Gi-Oh animes from the 2000s and 2010s, so there's the obligatory mention of nostalgia.

Jokes aside, here's a proper intro to what this is for people who aren't in that one very specific discord: As a creative project of sorts, I decided to make 4 Lalafells in FFXIV based on the Drawfee crew (youtubers). SPECIFICALLY these are based on their Newsday Comic Designs, because there's only so much staring at real people's faces really zoomed in I can do before I start feeling like a creep.

So, No, these are not "lifelike" or even "as close to life like as i can make potato people in a 10 year old video game". They're based on stylized ideas of people, warped by my creative liberty. That left me more space to make them cute instead of uncanny valley, which I'm sure any drawfee members that see this post might appreciate too.

They're also all heavily modded. It's more fun for dressup.

With that said! Onwards to the pictures (and design notes)!

Nathan: I actually "made" the beard for this myself - or, rather, I refitted it from a modded beard for Roegadyn. I even made an effort to mold it into a rough flower shape, but I'm afraid it doesn't show up that well. Still, remembering that there is no full beard for Lalafell in the vanilla game, I think it actually looks quite cute! For this "casual" fit I made an effort not to make Nathan look too fashion-y. Of course, they're idol photoshoot style pics, so I still had to dress him up a bit! With this sporty fit with the fun big red boots reminiscent of early video game character designs, I think I landed in a pretty nice middle ground.

Julia: This is the only design I paid real life money to make. I spent forever futzing with free hair mods trying to find one I liked, but in the end I forked over a few bucks to an experienced hair modder's online shop and got this hair that comes with all the features I wanted. Can't say I regret the purchase, it's very pretty. For the outfit, I knew what I wanted pretty much immediately. I have had this outfit mod for a long time, but I've never really known what to use it for. It feels very Julia, even if I can't remember necessarily seeing her wear this kind of thing before. Maybe it just feels French, and I associate Julia with France?

Karina: Karina's face sculpt mod was very easy to decide. Looking at the list of the free female Lala faces, I saw one that looked like a little shit - and named "Give Me the Phone" - and immediately knew it was perfect. I had to edit this hair to become hat compatible for later outfits, but overall this one was full of easy picks. Maybe I'm projecting too hard, though? I even dressed her in a top I modded for myself, after all.

Jacob: Jacob's design is one I agonized over, because finding a hair for him was quite hard. Short hair mods are rarer than long ones, and Newsday Jacob's hair is very distinctive. In the end I had to settle for a more realistic style, but I'm told it still reads as him. I wound up putting Jacob in maybe the cutesy-est outfit of the four. I don't think he'd mind, but either way the funny little overalls were too big a temptation for me to resist. Accessorising with bandages is where my weeb roots really shine through, though. Portraits done, here's the additional materials I've made!

Drawfee Kindergarten Field trip! Fun fact, I took this screenshot mere seconds before the dungeon I used as a set kicked me out, which means I spent the entire instance timer just deciding on accessories and posing! Where are they going? To see the big squid at the Aetherfont's center, of course!

The Marches saw in the final months of summer with the birth of baby Sebastian, and the adoption of sweet cat Pheeba. Nevellin hopes to adopt at least a few more cats from around the neighbourhood, wanting to open a rescue in town.

One morning, whilst Sebastian slept and Nevellin tended to his garden (keeping an eye out for said stray cats) - he was caught up in a cloud of fertiliser and found himself feeling rather different after it disipated.

Rushing inside to tell Louisa what had happened, she was dumbfounded to find her husband afflicted with the same supernatural power as her father and grandmother.

Nevellin was surprised by her lack of panic over the situation. Louisa was convinced that, as they were now married, he must have somehow become part of the family's gifted line. She was, it must be admitted, rather jealous, in her mind it was only fair she become a plantsim like her relatives had.

In her eagerness to share in the gift, Louisa immediately took over the task of spraying down Nevellin's plants, and, to everyone's shock, it did not take long before she too entered a pesticide haze and returned a different state.

Exclaiming in her excitement to Nevellin, the two celebrated Louisa's transformation.

Their joy however, was short lived. As nights and days passed, the couple found it increasingly difficult to juggle childcare, employment and photosynthesising, finding themselves becoming too easily exhausted, and their son suffering the consequences.

In an effort to find a solution lest they lose their son, Louisa called over her father Ariel to hear his advice. Ariel just so happened to have an idea, and asked for one leaf from each of their crowns, before heading home with a plan concocting in his mind.

Returning a week later, Ariel gifted the couple a potion he and Una had created together. With his plantsim nature, and his wife's scientific capabilities, the two had concocted a tincture that, whilst not a cure, would help alleviate some of the more significant effects of the plantsim affliction.

He told the couple to share the potion between them, then spent some time playing with Sebastian whilst the parents soaked in the evening rays.

With Sebastian asleep in his room, Louisa led the way in drinking the potion her parents had prepared for them. Passing the beaker to Nevellin and feeling the potion move through her cells, she gasped as before her eyes they began to transform back into their old selves.

Their skin and hair returned to normal, but Louisa could still feel the chlorophyll in her skin, the desire to feed on the sunlight dulled, but present. And she just couldn't put her finger on why she loved this outfit so much she had no desire to change. She and Nevellin embraced, accepting their new lives in between worlds, hoping they would now be able to feel more present in their son's life.

In the excitement of all that had happened, Sebastian's birthday crept up quickly, and he was soon a toddler, looking to be an almost carbon copy of his father.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the couple, another toddler sat waiting in the vegetable patch.

March - Second Summer - Year Five

I feel like I need to mention that all of these plantsims are happening naturally and I haven't cheated any of them. Some how after playing with seasons for over a decade and never having a plantsim, we've had four in three generations. I can only think I must have some mod that is causing it, but if so I have no idea which one it is. I'm honestly baffled by the whole thing. My headcanon is that the Thorne family is blessed with the Plantsim genes (and those that marry in are too).

Initially I was just planning for this to be a simple round, with Louisa maybe getting a promotion and falling pregnant again, but the luck of the plantsim had different ideas! Honestly I was a little mad at first, this wasn't in my plan at all for this family. But, given Nevellin is a family sim, this gives me a chance to play with plantsim toddlers for the first time! (Ásta and Ariel never rolled the want to spawn one, but Nevellin did straight away!) - It's so fun to still be discovering and playing with new mechanics in this gave after 18 years! Gotta love sims 2!

Yep, that's Kotone, as far as I could work with the CAS to make something like her. And she's working as an Entertainer. Oh, what's that, Fuuka below? Yep, that's her, and she's working as an artist for a video game company of some kind.

That National Treasure poster? Blame Kotone. Although a poster for the Da Vinci Code would have been nice... oh, damn, I need to finish that book...

I have a bit of a... how do you call it... DVD commentary-type-thing about when I tried to create her: for one, I was really embarrassed when trying to make the two—honestly, I didn't put much effort into creating Kotone, I just thought a randomized Sim would work as a good base for her. So, I adjusted some of her features, followed the concept artwork that I could find on the Megami Tensei wiki for clothing ideas, and made her a little erratic. All was good.

Then the time came to make Fuuka. My will to create Sims based on Persona 3 just exploded, and I just went like "No, no, please, I don't want to do this anymore!" It didn't help much that the randomized Sims didn't make a great base for her. So, I went to NexusMods (where I got the Persona 3 hair CCs,) and decided to pick up those Kotone and Fuuka Sims that MissPiggeh made.

It did sound like a good idea at the time. I mean, it was nearly a godsend, being out of place with the style I usually make Sims with be damned, but it would have been much so had I followed the CC list that MissPiggeh put in the .zip file. So... yeah. She came out looking wrong—with 'em big 'ol eyes... Honestly, I have played with her being like that for a moment, before deciding, "No, that is wrong. I need to fix those eyes." I know that it is not very good and strikes away from her source material, but I did what I had to do.

I'm sorry, MissPiggeh, considering the "Modification permission" bit on the mod page. Very sorry.

I'm also very sorry for bogging this down with a piece of DVD commentary, playing the "I wrote the book they ignored" role...

Right, so, back to the thing.

For one, Makoto and Kotone do not get along pretty well. Well, they do somewhat get along, but they do get weird. No, I won't say that they hate each other, just too distant to make any sense. ...Hm, what kind of personal subtext could I put into this?

Speaking of getting along, Fuuka and Makoto do actually get along well.

Don't look at the bottom left. I really hate how Sims looks like that when the "Very Happy" Moodlet is on. It's as if that's the most horrifying thing I've seen, only second behind that Callia Maebey thing.

This is a strange headcanon. Fuuka being a Trekkie? I can see that this is getting more and more interesting and further away from the Persona canon. On the other hand, I thought she looked fairly adorable.

By the way, Makoto's back again.

I decided to let Kotone have a little socialization by putting her in a little pub at Henford. (That is the dumbest, yet most accurate fictional British countryside town I've ever heard.) So, yeah, she got to chat around, make a few connections and prevent a possible midlife crisis or something...

That is the gayest tie I've ever seen. I want one.

By the way, she also went to talk with Henford's probably-mayor (I think? I haven't checked.) She also happened to meet Blake and Yang during their little chat.

Re: CW tags, I’m not sure if you’re in their Discord, but there’s a lot of people praising their CWs and I can’t help but feel that the mods and folks are hearing too much from a more…. Innocent? Younger? Naive to the point of a vice? voices — literally folks posting in the Dirty Laundry channel about how uncomfortable drinking/drunk people make them.

I'm in the Discord but literally only use it for alerts. I've heard though that the Neverafter/d20 channels had people saying "hey, these warnings are weird and not terribly useful."

I think this ask will be all I have left to say about content warnings - I get that this is a tough topic but also I know for a fact I'm really not the right person to facilitate a good discussion about this. But yeah, I do think that there is a shift among a subset younger people from "hey, it would be good if we flagged certain commonly upsetting topics so that people could make informed choices on whether to engage" to "This makes me uncomfortable and it's important everyone around me know that and I expect others to accomodate me at all times without having to take responsibility." On some level it's like...look, I do like casual drinking, but I respect if you don't and there are plenty of reasons not to want to engage with media where people are drinking, but also, like...I used to live in an apartment building that had a bar next door. The fastest way to my old apartment from my train stop was past a brewpub that during the pandemic put in extensive outdoor seating. The goal of content warnings should be to let people know if they need to avoid a work or at least come into it prepared, but any reasonable therapy for PTSD includes how to cope with common things that most people wouldn't consider triggering (like casual drinking) if you encounter it in the world, because you will.

I'm also though on the cynical side here, which is tough because it makes me sound like some kind of conservative and I am most assuredly not that, but like...about a year and a half ago I posted about how I find a lot of safety tools in TTRPGs are really limited and I would personally rather just...talk with my players, and make it clear that you can just say "stop", and I got some unhinged responses from people who could not fucking comprehend that this worked better for me than some elaborate colored card system, and were either very self-absorbed, or deeply unpleasant and insulting about it. I think a lot of the loudest voices when it comes to things like content warnings and ensuring people are unfortunately some of the least empathetic or thoughtful voices, even though there are many empathetic and thoughtful people around.

I guess I'll leave on this note, which is that I was in a club in college and we often said it was a safe space, and finally, one of my closest friends, who had joined a year later having first come with her then-partner, who broke up with her shortly after but remained a member as well, fucking snapped and said something to the effect of "I like it here, but my ex is always here too, so this is, inherently, not a space where I always feel comfortable and it's obnoxious and alienating to insist it is or that it should be." And it was really eye-opening, and it's something I've always kept in mind. If you try to guarantee a safe space you are doomed to fail and your efforts might make it worse. If you try to make a space where you are open about what can be expected, what shouldn't be expected, and hold room for dialogue, respectful dissent, and permit people to leave, that is far kinder and more effective. Which in the context of content warnings does mean calling out common triggers, perhaps offering, if you can, open, separate places for people to ask specific questions that pertain to them, but also assuming a certain degree of genre awareness.

take this with a grain of salt... i cannot write kaede well for some reason but i try

chiaki, kaede, mikan comforting their s/o

when kaede heard small noises coming from the closet she thought it was some sort of game

she would throw open the door like "what are you doing in the closet, silly?"

then she sees you crying, and kneels down next to you

she's the type to not shut up until you feel better

she won't let you sit in the closet any longer either, it's not good for you.

so she'll yank you up and lead you over to your bed where the two of you will sit together and she'll play with your hair

after that, she'll leave the room but won't let you come out because it's a surprise

she'll come back after an hour or so with a whole homemade meal with your faves

and of course she'll give you a pep talk, it's kaede

"pick yourself up, eat some food, and stop stressing. life's too short to spend so much time being upset, you know?"

chiaki was looking for something she was sure she left in the closet when she nearly tripped over your curled up form

she huddled up and then closed the door so the two of you were just sitting in the dark together

"you don't have to say anything if you don't want to. do you wanna play a game?"

she'd pull out her handheld console and just start gaming while you watch, until you calm down and are ready to talk

once you start venting, she'll give you her absolute undivided attention

"well, recently i've been feeling stressed out too, and what i do is stop what i'm doing and meditate. it actually works if you take it seriously and put the effort in."

she convinces you to try meditation with her, and she puts on some white noise in the background

she'll make you a hot drink and tell you to hold it in your hands because the warmth will ground you and keep you in the moment

if you still can't calm down she'll do breathing exercises with you

tbh, mikan probably beat you to the closet

the first time she ever found you in there was when she was on her way to go have a melt down, turns out you two both like to hide in the same place

as soon as she saw you crying, though, you were immediately her first priority

she pushed down her own sadness for a few moments to comfort you

but then she can't help it, you're still crying so she starts to cry and now you're both a mess

so you both decide to cling onto each other as you ride out the emotional wave

when you have no tears left in your reserves, she'll reach out and wipe your tears away gently with her thumbs

youll probably spend a lot more time just sitting there in the closet

but eventually she will gently suggest that you take a bath or a nap

her nurse instincts are kicking in and she wants to make you drink water and rest after the emotional turmoil, you probably have a headache from crying so much

so she'll start a warm bath and the two of you will get in together and just soak up the warmth
