fully supportive of cass learning sign language and the fanon that she uses it more than spoken language but also. so many of you act as if its a lesser version of communication and she'll automatically be a pro/not struggle with it. its still a complex language that has structure, grammar, vocabulary and syntax. theres so many different factors for it, even within just one region - different signing styles, dialects, slang, as well as actual variations (asl, pse, see)

just because you rely on verbal communication doesnt mean nonverbal or alternative versions of communication is a lesser version than your normal

sign language, writing, variant types of aac devices and resources. its all methods of communication. it all deserves to be treated with the respect and regard that vocal languages are treated with

Random thing I learnt while doing research for a paper:

The beginning of German (radio) broadcasting history started in the so called Vox-Haus (Vox-house) with the broadcast of the first radio show for entertainment.

And there is a TV channel in Germany which is called VOX and its colour scheme is red-black.

I made myself an excel trying to grasp transport time and price for different routes and I think I've come to the conclusion that if I want to go for 3 concerts the best will be to either go for Berlin-Cologne-Hamburg or Hamburg-Frankfurt-Munich

just had my first call with my job coach and...

she used to be an actress and then an acting coach before, and we're getting along like a house on fire 😭 (is that the saying? whatever) anyway, sometimes it gets a bit too personal almost, but then she gave me the best compliments today, I am on the verge of tears: that my voice was so pleasant and soothing, my speech clear and my German perfect high German and that I come across as kind and enthusiastic and I had to write that down otherwise I would certainly think in three hours I'd made that up in my head. that was sO NICE to hear from such a professional point even more so! omg I'm so happy right now 😭 maybe i can get up and take a shower 💀
