i've gotten one ao3 comment wondering about why AU lumiter didn't talk much in this fic about what hunter would do if he fell in love with someone else, since he's currently queerplatonic with luz (and arguably amity as well).... which is an excellent question!

the answer is pretty simple: hunter just straight-up does not expect this to happen.

Suad Ahmad is a young woman from Gaza. She is an engineer, a wife, and a mother. She and her family have been displaced many times, and have been living in tents. Her baby son Khaled has been suffering from health issues due to the horrible conditions that Gazans are forced to live in. This is only a very brief description of everything that Suad and her family have endured; you can read more of her story on the gofundme page and Suad's blog @suad-khaled.

They are in desperate need of donations for necessities like food, shelter, clothes, diapers, and medical care. Please donate if you are able to, even if you can only spare a small amount. five pebbles headcanons & interpretations!!

realistically, i don't think that the iterators or scugs would really have a concept of gender as a social construct. or if they did, they would not care, as it is irrelevant to both of them. i also think that at the very least most iterators wouldn't care to label their orientation, if they had one at all.

that said, anything can happen my brain, and label headcanons are just for fun!

please remember that everything here is just my interpretations and opinions. i am not going to fight about this.

has a soft spot for the slugcats that wander into his can, but is unwilling to pause his work to entertain whatever it is they want. he is also worried for their safety, at least on some level. he grew especially fond of artificer, rivulet, and saint as he spent the most time with them.

before his attempt to circumvent the self-destruction taboo, and before the rot, he would often spend some time speculating on the meaning and significance of art pieces from his colony.

during saint's timeline, pebbles doesn't remember anything - besides the purpose he sought so desperately to escape. he becomes as much a participant in the great cycle as every other animal, albiet at a significantly lower level of functioning. it's almost like an instinct. he is entangled in his purpose and his new place in the world, no longer like the jellyfish that slips from the net.

while the "femboy pebbles" jokes are vaguely funny, they get old very very fast. i don't think, as far as my own interpretation, that pebbles especially would have little care for trivial things like what clothes are more typically masculine or feminine. he has more important things to worry about, and he will wear what he likes regardless of connotation.

five pebbles is also definitely less of a grump than i usually see him portrayed in fanon, at least by the time of hunter/gourmand-ish. he's brisk towards the slugcats because he's busy, and very focused on his task. earlier on, i think he's more outwardly angry because the incident with moon was fresher in his memory, where he still heavily blames the people involved - especially moon and suns.

finally, i wish that his appreciation for the ancients' artwork and design were explored and portrayed more often. i think it's a very charming trait of his!

I wrote about half of that before i remembered you said percy jackson and the olympians and not just like, the percy jackson universe in general, but im leaving it in bc why waste the words. Here's one I'll make up for you: Annabeth Chase. She's demiromantic, and only started liking percy Like That after a significant period of being his friend. Same with Luke, though a bit more complicated; it was a combo of hero worship, him being so much older and taking care of her (for those not in the know, aspecs being able to get crushes on unattainable figures is Not Uncommon), and the fact that she knew him very well for a long time and he had a significant impact on her life, which obviously would have formed a close enough bond for her to fall in love with him. the news of hospitals being bombed, children being massacred, people dying from the cold, and the famine spreading in gaza does not seem enough to grab attention or make people care.

what new tragedy needs to befall gaza for you to start talking about it? the occupation kills a child every few minutes. people are cold and are starving. refugee camps are being bombed with bombs that can level city blocks.

this all happens because of all of us. we are complicit in this genocide because our governments use the taxes we pay to send weapons to the occupation. weapons that are used to kill children and impose a blockade that is starving 2 million people.

the very fact that we're still going about our days when all of this is going on breaks my heart. especially because we have failed to stop our governments from using our money to arm israel.

Loki, OFMD, Good Omens, TLOU, Sandman, primarily. I have some old Agents of SHIELD stuff on there, as well as Eternals, Hunter x Hunter, Nimona, and I'm the proud author of the single Requiem (2021) fic on Ao3.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Thumb, Index, Pinky (TLOU), Don't Be a Stranger (Sandman), I Won't Forget the Way You Held Me Up When I was Down (TLOU), It’s Just Me and You Against a World of Fools (TLOU), and Echoes of You (Repeating From the Corner of my Mind) (TLOU). Dunno why TLOU is my most popular but it is! My Eternals stuff used to be the most popular.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Always! People were nice enough to leave me their thoughts, I should return in kind!

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I had to think about this one because I don't like angsty endings, but Waiting/Wanting (HxH) is probably the most angsty because it has an open ending.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Probably Wildflowers (A "divine magnets" Epilogue) (HxH), because it's literally just a fluff ending to a fic I adored by Quintessence (@storybookprincess).

Besides one known fandom terror, no :)

Nah.

In a way, through group brainstorming and improv on Discord, but not formally, no. I think it would be fun and I would be open to it, though!

Hmm, I don't have a favorite really. But Ed/Stede (OFMD) and Ellie & Joel (TLOU) are probably the ones I've had the most fun writing for.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

My Sarah fic 😔 (TLOU). Poor thing's been sitting in my drafts for literal months now and I have no idea what to write for it.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue? I'm definitely better at it than description (my enemy).

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

What the hell are those characters doing. (I don't know I DON'T KNOW!!!) And longer-form plot.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Generally not my thing. I do it once in a while, but it's not like I go out of my way to include it. I don't mind reading it though, and it's fun to try and guess what it says before clicking the footnote or scrolling to the end.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Well gee, we're gonna have to go back to the Willow Falls series by Wendy Mass. Definitely don't have that still, but what I wouldn't give to read it. On Ao3, though, Loki!

20. Favorite fic you've ever written?

That's so hard to choooooooose. But I would have to go with Dissolve, Slowly, in a Pool of Your Love (HxH). Aroacespec fluff and snuggles. It's like it was catered to me 😛

ok i know ive said that i dont like any hunter ships but ive changed my mind a little, i like the highly specific dynamic of the blight twins meeting hunter, adopting him as their new bestie, both of them eventually developing unrequited feelings for him, which then leads to them becoming rivals for his affection, while hunter obliviously thinks that ed and em r just his Very Good Friends.  the idea of the blights trying to be flirtatious w a kid who hasnt spoken to teens his age for most of his life is SO funny and i want it
