every time i get a serious five x lila post on my tumblr feed, an angel dies a horrible, disgusting and downright tragic death that results in a terribly expensive funeral and an unaffordable need for therapy for each of the angel’s loved ones

He's a used car salesman. He has a heart of gold. He can't parallel park. He has two gay witch italian dads. He chops the wood. He has a magical talking cat mom. He's an assassin. He isn't an assassin. He's actually the cat from earlier. He's trans (female cat to male human). He's been shot through the heart. He was in Dewar. He was not in the war. He was in Dewar. He's on his last of nine lives. He just had a marble shoved down his throat. He's even bisexual. I didn't say his name, but he popped into your head, didn't he?

Putting my wife (Kurt Wagner) into some random clothes I saw online. My friend said he looked like a prep and my cousin said he looked like he was wearing a Gryffindor uniform, so I'm dying a little bit over it actually.
Please let me know if the values are as dark as they seem as on my laptop. I thought they were okay on my Ipad but idk now.

Okay listen, I'm real tired of seeing that post that's like "actually bell hooks was talking about how we raise boys" and other miscontrusions of what it is that The Will to Change is about.
So directly from the source, from bell hooks herself in the preface:
"The Will to Change: Men, Masculinity, and Love is about our need to live in a world where women and men can belong together. Looking at the reasons patriarchy has maintained its power over men and their lives, I urge us to reclaim feminism for men, showing why feminist thinking and practice are the only way we can truly address the crisis of masculinity today. In these chapters I repeat many points so that each chapter alone will convey the most significant ideas of the whole. Men cannot change if there are no blueprints for change. Men cannot love if they are not taught the art of loving.
It is not true that men are unwilling to change. It is true that many men are afraid to change. It is true that masses of men have not even begun to look at the ways that patriarchy keeps them from knowing themselves, from being in touch with their feelings, from loving. To know love, men must be able to let go the will to dominate. They must be able to choose life over death. They must be willing to change."
I ain't wading headfirst into the discourse here. This isn't to state some opinion, but to correct the record about what bell hooks was talking about.
No one is saying you have to agree with her, but don't misconstrue what it is she wrote about to make it look like she agreed with you. The Will to Change is not solely about how we raise boys; it is also about men and the will of men to change.

how are you guys doing?
honestlyyy we have both been going through it for a minute which you guys probably have picked up on from our very unplanned absence on here 😗 our work schedules have just been so crazy and we have had some personal stuff going on at both ends so we have been existing in a kind of default state of complete and total exhaustion for like a month i fear. but we are now 1. medication twinsies which is so silly of us actually and 2. getting therapized on the regular so hopefully we will both feel more normal soon and get our creative energy back and be more active online again 🥳 (thea is also actively being blown away by the hurricane right now so everyone please manifest that she stays safe and dry and doesn’t end up floating away down the gulf because i would miss her and be so sad.) thank you for asking i hope you’re doing well! 🫶🏽

“We don’t need the boop button back, people need to use the interaction options we already have!”
Ok well then maybe y’all shouldn’t have spent the past couple of years complaining about Likes, about how they do nothing, about how insulting it is to get a like instead of a reblog!
Yes, reblogs ARE the lifeblood of the site and they ARE the only way to ensure posts reach new audiences since most users never look at the For You tab or “based on your likes” or whatever.
HOWEVER. You were never going to get anyone to reblog every single post that they like or enjoy or smile at. Maybe they just reblogged something similar. Maybe they’ve seen it on their dash five times today and don’t feel like cluttering up their followers’ dashes with it. Maybe they like it but don’t think most of their followers would be interested. Maybe they just don’t feel the need to display every post that ever made them smile on their own blog.
But now people feel awkward or guilty about liking a post without reblogging it. Now sure, some of the time that will lead to them reblogging something they originally weren’t going to, but most of the time it just means they’re not going to interact with the post at all, because they think liking it will just piss off the OP.
So don’t complain about people using the like button as a more passive way to interact and show appreciation, then turn around and say we don’t need a boop button to do that because we already have a like button.

The Fume Hood Incident
A continuation of this post where @stealingyourbones and I regale tales of Mr. T, our high school science teacher that was the inspiration behind my addition to the popular Danny Phantom Science Teacher AU post that sparked the whole thing off.
I was able to catch the incident on camera & after rewatching it, decided that not enough of peoples faces were shown to be able to discern their identify & have decided to post it here.
First, context.
It was the last day of my freshman year of high school.
Mr. T was donated a god awful teapot made by a student in ceramics with the only stipulation being that he “blow it up.”
And according to my notesapp notes, he reportedly said, “One of my great pleasures in life is finding common regular normal things in life and making them go boom.” Right before we left our class to do the experiment in the lab classroom next door that had a fume hood. And from what I remember of the man, that absolutely fits.
I do not remember what chemicals Mr. T used to make the reaction but I do remember that we were extensively warned that it gave off noxious fumes and shouldn’t look directly at the light as it could damage our eyes.
Trudging into the other classroom, Mr. T set up the experiment in the fume hood.
At first, everything was going well. The teapot exploded and the room was bathed in red light.
Then we looked up.
You see, when you install a fume hood, generally you connect it to a chimney so the fumes can go out. The fucker that installed it did it improperly so the noxious fumes went DIRECTLY INTO THE CLASSROOM.
Immediately Mr. T evacuated the room and rushed us into the hallway.
The fire alarm went off.
The class, giddy from the feeling that we just blew something up and made the fire alarm go off in the last day of school, we we’re ecstatic.
We cheered.
Naturally, the faculty were kinda pissed because the alarms once again were set off by Mr. T & they had to call off the firetrucks that were auto-called and we’re charged for it.
Mr. T had to report the incident to the same cop as the magnesium incident and he was so proud to tell the officer it finally wasn’t his fault the fire alarm went off.
The school sued the installation company for incorrectly installing the fume hood and got it properly working the next year.
That day will be a core memory of mine that I will treasure til I kick the bucket.
-
And finally, the video.
